The crew was helpful but talked the entire time to prolong the time. I initially spoke with the son in which advised me of one amount, once the movers arrive in the rain, they inform me a different amount suggesting it was mandatory to use their services for 4hours.$400 I didn't have time to adjust and go back and forth due to this miscommunication and continued with the service, seeking and wanting to keep business with people of my kind and support black-owned businesses. The service was okay but not worth the money I spend overall. The mattress was damaged by the movers mattreses were placed in the wet mud, by the men, placing my king/full-size mattresses in the dirt, not on purpose, but not being careful and attentive. However, because they knew my family members, they were distracted and not focused, therefore talked and laughed the entire job. I attempted to fix the damaged myself but utimately, over and over, ultimately failed. I called the owner and emailed him several times, in which mentioned he would get back with me and hasn't, I have all proof and pictures, ultimately I purchased a new mattress for me and my son's room. The owner never returned my calls or emails. please don't do business with your kind it's just not worth it, not professional PERIOD.

I would absolutely recommend Ross movers to anyone looking to move. We chose for them to pack up our house and I was 100% satisfied. Out of my whole house, I had one glass item broken but it wasn't because of any fault of theirs because it was wrapped sufficiently. The crew was very friendly and made sure to ask plenty of questions so that we were all on the same page as far as expectations go!

This whole experience has been nothing short of awful. Let me start with the driver who loaded the truck - he tried to scam me and get me to pay over $6k on an accurate $2.4k quote. When I told him I wasn't interested in working with him, he "came down" on his personal opinion of what he thought he deserved to be paid. I paid $3k to have him make disgusting comments about my appearance and my outfit, and to have him hire a circus of guys who went digging through my trash looking for scraps they could sell. I paid $3k to have my items picked up 2 days late, and delivered 5 days late. I paid $3K to sleep on the floor for 5 days, be cussed out by Ross Movers, and when I finally got my items delivered...two missing bedframes, ruined couch legs, missing box of expensive athleticwear, missing every piece of my dining set, water damaged mattress (it had been sitting in a pool of water!), a missing glass table top...OVER $7K IN DAMAGES!! Also, they can't give me a simple invoice to give to my employer for reimbursement. So let's make that $10k in the hole.Ross Movers is a disgrace of a company run by a bunch of low-life scumbags.

Moving is very stressful and these guys are definitely pros--I had some delicate furniture to move and they really took care of it--I would most assuredly use them again

Ross movers was recommended by a few people. Saying they were the best in town. I will say Mr. Jerry was nice and affordable. However, I was not satisfied with the sloppy job his workers did. I moved from Louisiana to Houston, Texas. I was unable to meet them upon arrival. So my step mom had to come. She was about 10 minute behind them. So they took it upon themselves to open the back gate and start unloading things into my back yard. One being my son's battery operated dump truck. (That they moved out of my garage) They didn't even care enough to put it under the patio. So it sat out by the fence getting rained on for two days. It no longer goes in reverse. I had many boxes labled with what room to put them in. They disregarded those labels and stacked most everything up in my kitchen. Putting boxes on top of ones marked fragile. They had no respect for my belongings. Or my new home as they walked on carpet leaving wet, dirty footprints. I have scratches on many pieces of my furniture. They destroyed a lampshade that was attached to a stand that belonged to my now deceased grandmother. My 3 year old Samsung refrigerator was damaged. The top piece was not popped back on correctly. They managed to puncture the inside of the refrigerator about the size of a dime. I called the owner, Mr. Jerry Ross, explaining the damage done. And that I would not even hold him responsible for all other damages as long as he took care of the refrigerator. He response "Well we have never had any problems with damage to a refrigerator before." I did not know what the long term effects a puncture would be on the inside of the fridge so all I wanted was for him to hire a Samsung repair person to assess the damage. He still acted like it wasn't his problem to fix. Telling me things like "Well they had problems getting it out of your house." and "Leroy (his worker) said the popped out top piece was already like that." I was furious that he would try and put that on me. That is why I hired what I thought to be profession movers with insurance to cover any damaged items. Because he never called a repair man, I took to upon myself to hire one. Lucky for him the repairs were not major. Total bill of $79.00 that I paid for. I sent Jerry Ross the bill. Expecting him to pay for the damages. I have not heard a word from him since then. I have not received reimbursement for the money I paid for the damages his company did. I am a widowed mother of a 5 yo son. I am very disappointed that Jerry Ross would not own up to the damages. Shame on him and his workers. I was willing to look over the scratches on furniture, damaged lamp shade and even my sons dump truck if he would just own up to the damages done to the refrigerator. Now I will be contacting my attorney to get full reimbursement for any and all damages made by his workers. They were rude when unloading my furniture. One making a comment under his breath "I am ready to get the hell out of Houston." Very unprofessional!! And leaving this widowed mom to foot the bill for their negligence. These are only a few of pictures of the damages done by ROSS MOVERS!!!

Such a relief that Ross Mivers were respectful Christian men .Retired military and state police candidate. They helped 2 women in need and didnt price gouge like the previous movers did my elderly mother. Ross movers are awesome.

Similar experience to the last fellow. Complained from the first box, complained to the last box ... upset at the amount of items (which was part of the original survey) and finally gave us a 's**w you price' of $750 for a partial delivery to an estate sale about .5 miles away. I even gave away some estate goods out of 'good will' for a tip. Please, look harder, or sign a delivery price up front. I do not advise hiring. I spent plenty of time in the US military ... (US Navy Diver). I don't take fools kindly ... these were skaters.

Very unprofessional and complained the entire day. They were clumsy and chipped my furniture and my newly painted walls. Constantly reminded me that they work for tips. Complained about their employer and were very rude the whole day. Stood around and did not work when they were supposed to and for $115 dollars an hour that is unacceptable. Told me they would rather chip my walls than to hurt their backs moving my furniture. By the end of the day I have them tips (when I should not have) and they did not say thank you. This was supposed to be an excited experience moving back into my house after a remodel but they made it agonizing. Will never use this company again.

I will say I called at 10am and got same day service after realizing I could not move our furniture myself anymore after having multiple back surgeries due to an accident. This was by far the best experience I have ever had moving in my entire life. Very Professional, hard workers, and moved our stuff faster than I could ever expect anyone to ever get a job done. I am so thankful for Ross Movers and the particular guys that moved us today. It was worth every penny. I will never attempt move without them again. If you've had a bad experience, I can't hardly believe it and would recommend contacting the owner because they treated me GREAT!

Called on Monday, got quote, confirmation for 8am Thursday. 8am comes on Thursday, 8:10, 8:20, called them at 8:30 and got the 'uh, who is this?, who did you talk to?, etc.'. Thanks for making my wife and I miss a day of work AND have to call another moving company for Friday. I had heard they were the ones to call and their yellow page add says 'Dependable'. Don't bank on it.
