I was given 3 movers for the job and 2 of the 3 showed up way ahead of time and jumped right into the work without missing a beat! For anyone that is looking to use these guys, it REALLY helps to know Spanish but they have a translator to take down the barrier, if you don't. These guys are pros and get the job done as quickly as possible. In the future, I plan to use these guys again to avoid all the chaos. Also, their price for 3 movers is way cheaper in comparison to the price of paying for 2 movers within other companies in this city.

We met Nick, owner of Abba Movers and never interviewed anyone else after. He has a way of instilling confidence in your move, in the relationship you will have with your mover and he makes the chaotic process just that much more sane. Beside that he is endlessly polite and actually returns all your calls and emails…so what’s not to like about that! The way he packs a truck makes me think he may have had a Rubik’s cube as s kid…it’s tight and no inch is wasted. All the people on his team of movers and packers are friendly, respectful and equally polite. We moved long distance from New Orleans to New York State and it went smoothly. Highly recommended!

I would have given Abba Movers 5 Stars, but the movers could not assist with setting up a piece of furniture that was still in its box, it was too many pieces. That was my fault because I should have set that up initially with Nick, but I had not realized I would need help putting the furniture together. Everything was great, Nick was great to set up the move and the movers were polite, careful, hard-working, etc. I have no complaints. If in your move you need furniture put together, make sure to discuss that when setting up the move. I would recommend Abba Movers 100%. I will use them again.

I have a one bedroom apartment loading into a uhaul I already bought and abba movers was great! We bought blankets and wrap for all the furniture and they covered and wrapped and ties off everything I had and finished in about an hour and a half. Really efficient and hardworking people. I’m not going to give them zero stars. Because overall, the experience wasn’t terrible. But definitely not great. What I did not appreciate, was: 1) My appointment time was from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm. They didn’t show up until 3 pm. When I called at 2:20 pm to see where they were, the person I spoke to, initially said he couldn’t find my name on the schedule. Even after I was sent several confirmation emails and texts. But just when I was about to lose my temper, he all of a sudden found it. 2) I was quoted a total cost of $436-$618. 2 hr minimum charge of $318 Every additional hour at $94/hr With no specialty items. After showing up at 3pm and with a time stamped receipt of 7:01pm that same day (4 hrs)…I ended up being charged $736.00. The total cost should have been $506. 3) I called as soon as it was done to find out why. No one answered. So I left a voicemail. No one cared to call me back. I deserve at least an explanation, if not some form of credit.

Abba Movers moved my all of my house furniture and goods over two hundred miles away and I have to say they were very professional and courteous to my wife, because I couldn't be there, we had no damaged furniture after they moved everything in our new home. I’ve used Abba Movers to move two homes, and each time I have been overwhelmed with gratitude for the hardworking , happy and caring movers that have been assigned to help me. Unfortunately, accidents do happen, and I lost a few vases that were my grandmother’s. The mover was sincerely apologetic, acknowledged my loss, and handled the situation perfectly. They moved an entire 3bed/2bath home (smiling the entire time!) and only had one slip up - impressive! However, I did feel as I should be compensated for the loss of the items, as they could not/cannot be replaced. I addressed the issue via email with Abba Movers, and within MINUTES they reimbursed me. I have nothing but great things to say about this company. Professional, personable, accommodating and efficient!

I would go 6 stars on this one if it were possible. I had a nightmare cross-country move that changed at the last moment when a different company attempted to extort me for $900 extra after arriving at my place. I decided to get my own truck and pay someone to load it. Even though it was after hours on a holiday, Abba got back to me within an hour. The next day the guys were there and packed a 16-foot truck like a drum. I could have gotten the 12-footer! These guys salvaged one of the most stressful moments of my life.

Bernie, Irvin and Pedro moved me yesterday. I have heavy antique furniture that had to go upstairs. The stairs were narrow and they had to remove legs and manipulate furniture to get it were I wanted it. They were fast and very courteous..never complained about how difficult it was at times. The service from these movers were great at first. We took note that they took care into packing our items in to the van. That was until one of them ran our bed frame into the door. I don't know how they packed our bed into the truck but it is now lopsided and lumpy. We took the bed off and discovered it was not installed decently. Half of the screws were missing where the boards were installed, or have been stripped so badly, it does not even hold the screw. It's not like we had that much for them to move from our one bedroom apartment. We have been moving ourselves and took items that we could carry. They were only responsible for taking furniture in the living room, dining, and bedroom. Yet it still took them over 4 hrs, and our bed and frame was damaged. Now you know. Never again.

I moved with Abba Movers almost two weeks ago and it truly was a great experience. Let me give a little background...I’ve lived most of my adult life in NYC and usually grabbed a bunch of friends to help when I was moving in dorms or into apartments. Everyone knows, moving in NYC is beyond stressful. I’ve also had the pleasure of working for a moving company while living up there, so having that experience made me really determined to do moves on my own. I moved down here with very little going into first place but moving this time, I knew I was going to need help, especially with the larger pieces of furniture. I made sure to do my research and Abba had the most glowing reviews. Contacted them through Yelp and Nick was very helpful answering all my questions. On the day of the move, they were only four minutes late. IMO, that’s early as moves rarely happen on time. There was only one other minor hiccup, they had forgotten their tools but I’m used to things like this happening, so I had no problem being flexible. Phil and Seth (?) were great, friendly, and made this move go as quickly and smoothly as possible. If I ever have to move again, I will be using these guys. Not only are they great at what they do, but they are reasonably priced. This was my first official move with movers and I truly felt like I was in the most capable hands. From getting a quote, planning the move and setting a date, arrival, and moving my belongings, these movers are highly professional. The initial quote was received 8 minutes after sending my inquiry. I received quotes from 8 other moving companies, but this one was not only the cheapest, but actually responded to me in a timely manner. After I decided on Abba Movers, I called the owner, and the call went to voicemail. However, he called me back within 3 minutes, and the scheduling was a breeze. The movers were scheduled to arrive between 9 and 9:30 a.m., and they hit that window perfectly. The movers themselves were courteous and kind, and packed my belongings very well int their large (MORE than large enough for my stuff!) 26 foot box truck. Everything was moved into the truck, driven across town, and moved out in 2 hours, which was the time I was given a quote for based on the parameters I gave the owner. I HIGHLY recommend this moving company, and will definitely use them in the future.

They say you get what you pay for however in the case of ABBA Movers you get FAR more than what you pay for! Nick was so easy to work with, he was courteous and provided excellent follow up. Adolfo and his crew went above and beyond, as this was a military move, and they took it upon themselves to get the necessary weight tickets without prompting from us. His team worked efficiently and without stop strategically fitting way beyond what I thought would be capacity in to their truck. This was an out of state move but we didn't have to worry about our things getting combined with other people's belongings as they drove the truck straight through and unloaded the next morning, setting up and placing all the furniture lightening fast. I am also happy to report there wasn't so much as a scratched leg, a chipped plate or a missing screw. Everything was delivered exactly as it was found. ABBA Movers took the stress out of a very stressful situation and I recommend them exclusively!

My experience was not a good one. My move was scheduled to start between 9:00am and 9:30am, but the movers didn't show up until 10:45am. They showed up in a very small U-Haul truck. They had to virtually cram everything in the truck, having to dismantle several pieces of my furniture. Then the trip to my new location, that should have taken 45 minutes, took they 2 hours. After the move when I was starting to unpack and set things up, I noticed damage to several of my pieces of furniture. Lastly, right after they completed my move, I was given the cost for my move which I paid in full with a credit card. Then the next day I get an email saying that they had made a mistake and I owed them more money. I don't know if my situation was an isolated or unusual occurrence, but I would not use their services again. Needless to say, I was very disappointed.

I would definitely use Abba moving Services again. I like to deal with a local company and directly with the movers (not via a 3rd party). I would give them 5 stars for everything except their website (needs update; I'll give it 3.5-4 stars only). Errol was very responsive and prompt with all the details of the job. There were no surprises with the estimated fee for their services. The truck driver was great and Abba employed movers were extremely professional and prompt on time with their appointments.

With all of the dishonest moving companies out there, it is certainly wonderful knowing there are still companies like Abba Movers. I had the most wonderful experience from beginning to end. I moved from New Orleans to Denver and Abba moved my entire house and towed by car with all of my belongings. They were reasonably priced (though a little on the higher end, but here, you definitely get what you pay for). They were prompt and professional. They also were extremely flexible and willing to work with me for any and all issues that arose from the moment I got the quote until the time my belongings were unpacked in Denver.
