Chris and his crew exceeded those expectations and we were very impressed with the careful and professional process they handled our possessions and loaded our 26 foot rental truck for it's long distance journey to multiple destinations. Moving with Horizon was affordable and enjoyable. The people at Horizon are -Courteous -Professional -Responsive -Hard Working They arrived at the specified time then packed all of my belongings with great care, loading it into a truck trailer. The movers all seemed down to earth and easy to talk with. Upon arrival in St. Louis they efficiently unloaded all of the packed boxes and furniture, then unpacked each box, placing the individual items in their correct locations. If I was still in the Quad Cities and needed to move, I would absolutely hire Horizon Movers & Storage again.

Very unprofessional!! I had called in Dec to schedule a move at the end of Jan and was told that there were openings on the date I needed. An appointment was set up to give me an in home estimate. That appointment was canceled hours before the appt time and I had already taken off work to meet them at my house. Lisa with Horizon left me a message that the estimate needed to be canceled and that they would not be able to reschedule till after the holiday's. She asked if Jan 4th would work. I called back and left her a message to call me so that we could schedule a time or better day that worked for me. I never heard back. Today is Jan 2nd. I called the office and was then told that there were now no openings on my move date and that I needed to put a deposit down in order to have reserved that date. This was the first that I am even hearing of this! If I would have known that, I would have done that. My appt that was canceled was on Dec 21st!! The whole experience with Horizon was unprofessional and very unorganized. Very unreliable and did not return my call after they canceled an appointment. I would not recommend them!! In response to your response...we never spoke again! You left me a message, I called you back to then return my call and never heard from you again until I initiated my final call. Also, the one time I did speak to someone, it was NEVER explained that I needed to put money down to hold my move date. Do you think I would be this upset if I knew that? Those are the facts for anyone reading this who wants an honest review of their communication and organization. I cant speak to any of their actual services. My opinion...use 2 Men and a Truck, organized and professional from start to finish!

First, I was impressed with Chris’ presentation on his initial visit to my home. He described all he could do for me and gave me references. On moving day, a crew of 8 came to my door ready to work. I had furniture and boxes on two floors and they worked steadily until everything was in their truck and pod. They were always asking me questions about my possessions to be sure all was cared packed and then walked my house three times to be sure nothing was overlooked.

They worked non stop, were very nice and polite, and made sure that the truck was loaded carefully and as close to our rather specific needs as possible. (We were making multiple stops and needed things accessible for each stop!) The next time we need movers we wouldn't consider using any other company... Even if it meant adjusting our moving date!

I was impressed with this company from the moment they owner showed up to give me an estimate on a cross-town move and immediately jumped in to help us move our refrigerator and help the gentleman buying our dishwasher to load it on his truck. He didn't have any guarantees of getting the job, at this point, he just did it because it needed to be done. The crew was small but friendly, professional and very efficient. They worked hard and came in a little under the bid amount. Since our move, they've added more men to their crew and I'm pleased to see the business thriving. This is the kind of small business I LOVE the opportunity to support and promote! They are the backbone of this country and deserve recognition for the work they do providing a much-needed service.

Horizon is absolutely amazing!!! They did an excellent job moving me and my 2 bedroom home from Davenport to Des Moines. Chris is very nice and easy to deal with and his crew is exceptional. They are so nice and know exactly what they’re doing. They wrapped all my furniture and handled everything with care. After they loaded, a neighbor came to ask me who I had used because she saw them and said she could tell they were a good moving company. I would especially like to thank Sean, Keith, and Johnny who were awesome when they unloaded everything. I seriously loved everything about this company and will be recommending them to everyone.

If I could give a zero star I would. Though this company has had good employees at various times, Chris is a horrible person to work for and just uses people up. Theres plenty of movers out there. If need be spend a little more for someone else just to keep this guy out of your life, do it.

We have used Horizon Movers twice within 1 year. The first move was from Missouri to Iowa. Chris, the owner, went out of his way to help us get moved to Iowa on short notice. His team was on-time, professional and efficient! It was in August and it was HOT outside. Everyone worked very hard even though it was about 100 degrees outside. When it came time to move again we did not hesitate to call Horizon Movers again. It was nice to see some familiar faces on the team along with some new guys. Again, everyone worked very hard to get the job done. I HIGHLY recommend Horizon Movers! Very nice, professional, great value for your dollar.

Chris, Ryan and Jesse were fantastic. From move-out in Moline to move-in at our new house. These guys were true professionals. Always put down runners in the house and were very careful. Moving in the winter was awful, but these guys put up with the extreme temps and crushed it. Very thankful to have found Chris and his team to help us. Excellent company to move your household! We moved locally from Davenport, IA to Blue Grass. Horizon movers bend over backwards to help, were very careful and are reasonably priced. Chris the owner is terrific and his crew is awesome! Kind and respectful the entire time! I recommend them highly.

They moved us the end of May 2018. We got the quote for packing n moving. At the time of quote, I made sure I asked twice about the final price n what’s included. Chris, the owner confirmed that we need to get plastic tuberwares to pack liquids, and price will not change if we add or reduce our load. Before we moved, we sold our dinning set, washer n dryer, patio set, and one bathroom set. So...remember, we have confirmed the quote prior to these things being sold. We understand that the quote will not change if we add or subtract items. When we were 3/4 being done packing, Chris decided that he wants more money for the move citing...they move our liquids and they don’t normally move liquids. (Contrary to what he told us because he told us to buy the plastic tuberwares to contain them. Which I did.). But then he said we should have packed it. They were just moving them. Remember I asked n confirmed for packing n moving. This is just one of many examples. To make the long story short, if you are moving a short distance and pack your own boxes. They are good n reasonable but...if you are moving across state line, use a national chain to avoid hassle. They are not very good packers at all! The owner will pull things from different locations n have it wrapped in a centralized location so therefore your stuff will be everywhere. We are still figuring out where our stuffs are. The crews are nice n very hard working but some are inexperienced, adding to the boss who pulls them in all directions is not a good use of labor.

Our family moved 1/6/18 and had a wonderful experience with Horizon Movers. It was extremely cold, but they arrived during the designated time and were ready to go. Our move took just over 5 hours and they worked hard the entire time, never taking a break. They were very polite and friendly and took care of our belongings. Nothing was damaged or broken. We moved a 3 bed house from Rock Island IL to Bettendorf IA on 07/22/17. It went seamlessly. This is the second time I've hired Horizon, they moved me in May of 2013 too. On July 22nd 2017 the crew of guys arrived in the window of time pre-designated in our contract, promptly. There were 3 guys in the crew and they couldn't have been more polite or engaged from the moment they arrived. The introduced themselves to us and shook our hands, then got right to work. They took instruction without hesitation and seriously had the best manners. They even asked if it was ok for them to use the restroom! It was an unbelievably hot and humid day and they did not stop working for the entire time they were on our dime. They were strong & competent the entire time. Nothing got dropped, damaged or broken in the move, which is much better than I can say when we moved ourselves in the past!!! I will absolutely hire them again and recommend them to anyone moving in our area. We were done in about 5 hours and every minute of that they were moving, working and being efficient. I seriously don't know where the business owner found these guys. A note on the business owner, Chris too...Chris came to our house himself to do the estimate for us. He was polite, interested and diligent during the estimate process and further proof of how good he is at this, he estimated our move time almost to the minute, I think he only over estimated by 15 minutes. That made it super easy for us to budget for moving day. Also, Chris called us the day after our move to see how it went which was a great touch. I can imagine if anything had gone wrong he would have wanted to know about it.
