My family and I relocated from Fort Wayne to Tampa, Florida about 6 months ago. When we found out we were moving I contacted Kyle Omlor to find out about pricing, timing, and how possible this was. After we agreed upon a move date, we bought a house in Tampa and started packing. Our move ran into problems 2 days before we were supposed to move. The new home owners were not approved yet so it delayed our move 5 days. Regardless, we had to go and moved into temporary housing (Home 2 Suites) in Tampa until our house sold. Hoover kept our goods for 5 days, until we got into our new home in Tampa. Our moving crew came from Fort Wayne and it was wonderful to talk about “back home” with the guys! They had us moved in, in a few hours and extremely professional the entire time! There’s not a chance I could have done with without Kyle Omlor’s guidance and expedience; getting everything done so accurately! I’m writing this while sitting in my lanai, watching TV outside and it’s 75 degrees! I believe it’s 10 degrees right now in Fort Wayne... I couldn’t be happier in our new home, new life and this was all made possible with the help of Hoover the Mover and Kyle Omlor’s expertise! If you’re moving, Hoover will get the job done and you will be completely satisfied with the results!

Dan, Kyle and their moving staff moved us out of an old home and into a new one. They were great. My wife and I felt we were getting a good deal, were being treated fairly, and the moving crews were pleasant to work with. A leather chair was slightly damaged during the move, but Kyle was more than happy to help with that as well. We definitely recommend Hoover the Mover!

We were making the move from Florida back to Indiana and I reached out to Tad to see about hiring helpers to unload our truck load of furniture. Arranging and hiring the help was a smooth process. At the last minute we were even able to add a 3rd man with no issues. The help arrived on time on a Saturday morning in the extreme cold and went right to work in preparing our house for the unload. They protected our floors, the entry ways and took total precaution in unpadding and placing our furniture. We had to unload the entire truck and then reload some items and other items that were already at the residence to move to a storage unit. They willing helped with this and followed my husband to the storage facility and unloaded for a second time. These men were very professional and careful with our belongings. Moving company was very good. I was expecting some troubles but there was not! Everything wend very smooth and easy. The movers were nice and polite, the trucks were clean and nice. These guys are incredible! Woody, Megan and Nate were professional, timely and attentive to my needs. These guys work as a team, have fun and encourage one another every step of the day. They spent two days packing and loading my household. I had several items that were sentimental and obviously belonged to my parents. Without my asking, they took special care wrapping those items, as if they were theirs. They definitely made this stressful time easier for me. I would highly recommend. Jane Beard

With all of the good reviews I saw I never imagined what a terrible experience we would have. Everything seemed fine until the day of the move when a driver showed up at my house. It was a driver from North American, someone who no one at Hoover the Mover had ever met before. He was terrible, he yelled and screamed and stormed out of my house because I asked him not to handle one of my items as he was (breaking it). The owner had to come out to my house to calm him down and I was still forced to have him as my driver. The other two gentlemen there packing the truck were just as shocked as me. They said they had never seen this before and had never been yelled at or ordered around as he was. The driver made them move everything twice and it took 4 hours longer than necessary. Once we were at our destination, I received a call from the company that boxed the TV that said they would be there tomorrow morning to unbox in. Interesting considering the truck had not arrived and I had heard from no one. I call the "on call" number no answer or way to leave a message until the 5th attempt. He said he didn't know anything and they can't do anything. Well ok then. Luckily I had the owners phone number from his visit to my house and called him. He was shocked and said he would figure it out. I have yet to hear back from him. I had to call the company back and re-coordinate everything....isn't that what I was paying the moving company for? Upon unpacking the truck multiple items were broken and damaged and now they are saying they are not at fault. I have photos, text messages and witnesses to all of this. I wish you luck using them

The team that packed up our house was extremely unprofessional. Two men on a five person crew were respectful, but the other three displayed an incredible lack of work ethic. One mover was even smoking a cigarette whilst loading our couch into the truck-- and we can't comment on the condition of that couch since it never actually arrived to our new home. I was astounded by the movers poor attitude, disrespect for our possessions, and raunchy jokes. When they left for lunch they left with the front door open and many of our valuable things on the front porch. Also, their lunch break was close to two hours. They tagged the inside (not the outside) of certain boxes, which complicated inventory, and never forwarded our valuable inventory paperwork to the company that moved our things across the country-- therefore, I doubt any of our things were handled with care. This was a difficult and frustrating experience.

By far one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Kyle provided a quote for our family's move from Indiana to Georgia in late April, 2017. Kyle was very pleasant and informative when in our home. He assured us that by hiring his company we would have the most seamless moving experience available. We signed our contract the first week of May and our pick-up was scheduled for July 31st. We were told that when our driver arrived to pick up our belongings he would confirm the arrival date in Georgia. Although we would have preferred to have more information up front, we resigned ourselves to waiting for the 31st to confirm the arrival date. Our thought was that, once the date was confirmed, we would know exactly how long we had to make the trip and could plan any hotel stays, if needed. We are a family of six (6) so we hoped to minimize the need to stay in hotels in order to save money. On the day our truck arrived, the driver did not have the information we were told he would have and we were told to call the office. My husband called the office twice and was told both times that they were working on getting the information. After four (4) hours I called the office myself and was informed that the 'truck' they sent was actually a container because they did not have a truck or driver available for our move, but that they would still be arriving between the 4th of August and the 8th of August as originally stated. Lisa in the office was extremely rude and could not wrap her head around why this was a problem. She actually said to me that she would think that someone with a family of six would have been better prepared. I was and am still shocked at the way she spoke to me (her customer) and the lack of care or desire to help that she displayed. I was told that our container would be taken back to the Ft. Wayne facility and would sit there until a driver was available to pull it to Georgia and that we would be given a 24 hour notice of the truck's arrival. When I asked when they would have a driver Lisa's response was 'I don't know - maybe tomorrow, maybe the next day.' This is not what we were sold. If we had known that there was even a possibility that this would happen we would never have chosen to go with this service. I also don't understand how, having signed the contract three whole months earlier, they did not have a truck or driver available for our move. This poor planning on their part became a big problem for our family. Although we enjoyed having Kyle in our home he went AWOL during this situation. We emailed and called him and to this day have not heard a word from him. No follow-up to see how the move went, nothing. The only bright spot is that the gentlemen who came to load the truck were exemplary. They were professional, courteous and respectful. But let me reiterate - this was the only good thing about this move. In the end, we ended up working with Shante at the corporate office as neither of us wanted to speak with Lisa again. Shante was compassionate and understanding as you would expect of a customer service representative. I'm not sure who she spoke with, but she was able to tell us that a driver would be picking up our container and moving it to Georgia the following day. On the back end we dealt with Beltmann Movers in Georgia. Everything about working with their company was pleasant and enjoyable from the customer service to the gentlemen who arrived to unload our truck. We will be using them in a year when we move again. Lastly, we did have several items damaged during shipment. We purchased the replacement insurance plan so we will be filing a claim. The Beltmann team pointed out a few areas in the truck that were packed incorrectly and took photos as back up, as well. Only use this company if you want to gamble at getting what you are told you will receive. I would not recommend them to anyone.

We recently moved from SW Michigan to South Carolina. We used Hoover the Mover to pack and move us. The women who came to pack were friendly, professional, thorough and efficient. The men who came to load the truck were very professional, and also very efficient. They took special care to prep the house with pads and carpet protection before they moved a stick of furniture. Everything was re-assembled upon delivery to our new home. We are very satisfied and recommend Hoover the Mover wholeheartedly.

This is the police report reference #. As of today I was informed that your company and or warehouse has never had my packages. From the tracking information I have been able to receive, that is incorrect, your location was where my packages were last physically scanned. I spoke to Christy at ICAT and she informed me that she was given incorrect information for my replacement order. Whether any of this is true or not, it is no longer my problem. I have given your company ample amount of time to rectify this situation. I told you previously that filing a report was my most effective way to get my items or my refund. When I informed Lisa that I had filed a report, it's now that you've never had it. Moving forward, I have contacted the Ft. Wayne police dept. The fraud investigation officer and I will physically be there by or before Friday, when I will also hand over our correspondence, the voice recording of Lisa saying that you have never had my packages as well as hanging up on me before giving me STI's info. All of the emails that I have received with my physical tracking information and it being scanned IN at your warehouse but never out, and Lisa pinning it on STI/Gale the driver. As well as my conversation with Gale and Christy. Any miscommunication was not my problem and should have never been my problem. It was never my intention to be threatening, only to recoup my losses. However, after my final conversation with Lisa (you've never had it, it's the other company's fault after WEEKS of getting the customer service run-around) and her being thoroughly unprofessional, I do not plan on following up with this personally. I will also be following up with the Better Busines Bureau. I spoke to an STI representative and they are aware that you are currently blaming all of this on their company and driver. This was purely a business issue and I was very fair from the beginning. This how now turned into a personal and unprofessional situation and I'm dealing with it accordingly. I have an appointment at the FWPD on Thursday. Expect an office to follow up with you afterwards to begin the investigation. Other individuals have come from forward with very similar stories to mine, and I was informed that it is best to proceed as if this is a stolen goods situation. All of the information I have obtained to sort this out, which should have never been something that I would have to do, will be sent to the BBB as well as posted to every single place I can review and rate your company. This has been by far the worst experience I've ever had with dealing with a company on a professional or consumer level. ****This has been and will be my last correspondence with Hoover The Mover since I was initially contacted by THEM on May 12th. It is now April 2nd and I have had to file a police report (reference # was redacted) because after being informed that they had my packages from Ikea, I have been told 3 weeks later that they never had them. I have personal texts as well as recorded conversations with the owners Tad and Lisa Leevy (sp?). I was then hung up on by the owner Lisa after having to ask them personally and multiple times for the actual tracking information (They claimed it did not exist and could only be located per my order number) I was able to obtain that information through another party. I have done every bit of leg work on tracking down my shipment, that was scanned into their warehouse but never out. Now the claim is that it was never there. After the way I was managed, but never actually served as a paying customer, it is my personal belief that they are very good and "never having" packages that can be replaced. I became belligerent only after WEEKS of being blatantly lied to by the owners. I expressed before that I would need to file a report to expedite my refund or replacement, and was told then that they would handle my replacement process. After waiting several more days, I was informed that their contact was never given the correct information. Unprofessional con-artists.

Hoover the Mover was contracted by Dewitt to perform the house packing and sea container loading for our move from Fort Wayne. The initial estimate went smoothly and the gentleman was friendly. However, it turns out that his initial estimate was off by nearly 30%. The packing crew was understaffed and unskilled. When the end of the second day arrived they closed up the container, said it was full and left behind many items. When the container arrived, many valuable items had been thrown in without being packed or braced. Not only was there a substantial amount of room left in the container, but many items were damaged in transit due to improper packing and bracing. While most of the personnel I encountered were polite and friendly, at the end of the day, they simply lacked the motivation and experience necessary to perform a competent inter-modal move.

Don’t let them in your house. A few of their hired hands have extremely sticky fingers I learned my lesson when my wife’s wedding ring came up missing. They went into areas in my home they were told not to go into and I might as well of told them to go and steal it. When I called the company the general manager was helpful but the owner was in the background of call telling me to look harder I obviously misplaced it and was very disrespectful. Police got involved and even stated a few of their helpers that day he wouldn’t let anywhere near his house. Even though Hoover claims they do background checks. Still no ring and don’t expect anybody at the company to admit or assist with anything. I learned my lesson they will hire anybody they can to save a buck and won’t admit to anything. Don’t let them into your home unless you watch over their every move. I should have known better when I saw a couple of them. Lesson learned they will steal anything of value from you they can get their hands on beware

I had a very positive experience with Hoover the Mover! The men who loaded were most efficient. Eddie, I believe was his name, found a wad of my husband's cash and was honest enough to quietly hand it to me. Dan was very thorough with his estimate and his bid was reasonable. Imagine my surprise when the total bill came out for far less than quoted. Jerrold, the driver and Cory were so efficient on each end. Item such as glass were wrapped carefully and I have found nothing broken! A great company!
