I am a relocation consultant in fort myers, Fl for Ready2Move Moving and storage. I hired big oxen for an offload in Indiana and I'm so happy I did. I am very expierenced in the moving business so I know first hand what it takes to facilitate moves and customer service. Nick was fantastic from start to finish! Great experience. They were running late from their previous job, but let me know in advance and kept in contact with me. They were very quick to pack everything up and ensure it all was protected on the trailer. I was extremely appreciative they were able to help me move on about 24 hour notice after my previous mover cancelled on me.

AMAZING moving company....they were understanding, efficient, and so patient--even when we got a late start from the old apartment and they beat us by 45 minutes to the new one. They were gentle with my items and so cheerful; even though it was over 80° and my apartment had no air conditioning. Different things I viewed as a setback that day didn't even phase them--they just kept moving and did what they felt was necessary. They helped to make the whole process smoother for me!

The folks at Big Oxen helped me with a two-part move -- first moving my things temporarily to a local storage unit, and then a longer haul move to my new home a few hours away. With both moves, they were friendly, cheerful, professional, and efficient. They were very careful with my things, and everything was moved to my final destination unharmed. And on top of it all, they got both moves done quickly and charged a very fair rate. Nick, the owner, is a great communicator and was so helpful with getting everything set up. IF YOU WANT: On Time, Over the Top Service at a Reasonable Fee...look no further than Big Oxen Moving Company. Nick and his crew have your wishes in mind. Just tell them what is needed and wanted. Feel free to be detailed. I was a "nervous wreck" about moving not only my home but my studio. I have stucco painted walls, original artwork galore, expensive lamps, sensitive equipment--you name it. They helped us pack, store, move. And the prices were fair. He bent over backwards to make my schedule. Over a holiday no less. Nick rocked it from the first moment he stepped in for a walkthrough of the premises to the last box we squeeeeeezed into storage, he was there for us. THANK YOU NICK!!! You're the best!

Feel bad about it. We were not told that living in the second floor will take extra money until we pay. It would better to pay base on how much stuff that you have rather than how long that it takes.

Big Oxen Moving Company is the best! Nick and his crew are professional, courteous and hard working. They made every aspect of the move simple and stress-free. The movers were efficient and handled everything with care. Everything arrived in perfect condition for an out-of-state move! I have used several other moving companies. One was terrible, one was fair, and the others I had considered to be great. Big Oxen Moving Company, however, far exceed all of them! A new bar has been set and I wish there was a Big Oxen outside of Indiana! If you are looking for a moving company that can provide top-notch, professional service at an unbeatable price give the Ox a call. You will not be disappointed!

We had initially called another moving company, these guys quoted $3,000 for an out of state move, then told us it'd actually be $11,000 when they showed up at the door. We had them take "$3k" worth of stuff. It has been over a month and they still haven't delivered the furniture. Compare that to Nick at Big Oxen, who handled the remaining "8k" worth of cargo, for a heck of a lot less, delivered it in pristine condition within 24 hours. This is the difference between a 5 star service like Big Oxen and borderline crooks like the other guys we're still dealing with. I wish we'd worked with Big Oxen for everything from the beginning. Save yourselves the headache we've been dealing with and give Nick a call.

My review is similar to the many other 5☆'s for this company. Working with movers can be tricky -- from fair, upfront pricing, to handling your property with care, and, of course, to feeling assured that the people coming into your home are trustworthy and of good character. I'd gotten estimates from many other companies for my in - house, heavy - item lifting move. Nick was on a move when I first called, but called back promptly once complete with that. He took note of all of the details of my needs for this project, and advised me of which of their service offerings would best meet my needs. He didn't attempt to add-on any service not needed, nor to have me pay for anything "always standard" -- e.g., for a truck when my move was only a small, internal one. He & his colleague were on-time, to the minute, and I could NOT have asked for a more professional, courteous or helpful team. They communicated well with each other & with me. It's a no brainer that Nick will be my go-to for future moving needs, large or small!

Big Oxen Company helped make the stressful process of moving across the country so much easier. The movers arrived promptly at my Bloomington residence to load my boxes and furniture into their truck. Nick and his crew had to drive over 2,000 miles to get to my new place, and they arrived on the exact day that they projected they would. Nick was quick to reply whenever I asked for a GPS update, so I was always kept aware of their progress during their drive. In addition to this, all of my things were packed and moved professionally - everything was treated with care and there was no damage. Nick and his crew were extremely friendly, professional, and punctual, and I would highly recommend them whether you are considering a local or long-distance move.
