I had this company move the selected contents of a house across town. They quit early on Friday, saying they were done. I went back to check, and the movers offered to come back Saturday. This was quite early in the afternoon. Then they came back Saturday and I was charged double time for overtime; although I complained shortly after they left Friday. Then they refused to move anything upstairs. They laughed and said if they moved the furniture upstairs it would tear up the furniture and damage the house. I had to get the contractors (Toby Sullivan) to move the pieces, pretty much anything at all large, upstairs. They moved it up carefully and never touched the walls. They were dishonest and destructive. The packing crew was great. I would hire the packing crew. But the movers and the manager were horrible.

I was most impressed that they didn't hesitate to disassemble furniture and reassemble our desk, dresser, and beds. Not a great experience. Couldn't get a solid time for move and surprised they even showed up that day. Terrible nickel and diming. "Start time" was 40 minutes before they arrived and they're literally no more than 15 minutes away. Got them to knock off 10 minutes (shouldve been at least 20) for a slushie break that apparently I was paying $100 an hour for if I didn't bring it up. Made me pay for 3 movers when I wanted 2 for "efficiency in busy season" and ironically they took almost twice as long as the last time I moved with the exact same items and 2 guys. Super inefficient, one guy doing most of the work (he was the one positive moment) while the other 2 joked around or chatted. 3% surcharge on credit card that no one told me about when I booked over the phone was the cherry on top. Never again. I had a pretty mediocre experience with another company here but they look amazing now. Stay away.

Great movers! I was completely terrified of having people pack and move my stuff. Completely terrified the whole time, standing around like I was waiting for a court verdict, a complete mess through the whole move. Randy and Merlin were total champs at handling a few snags that came up (unrelated to them) and I couldn't believe how the whole thing just.... worked. Half my stuff was tidily stacked in my apartment, unharmed, and the rest of tidily stacked in their storage warehouse. They then moved my piano from storage up to my dad's and, again, I was shaking in fear the whole time and, again, it all went so smoothly I couldn't believe it. Great team.

Worst moving experience ever. There's a reason why the prices are so low. Save your money and choose someone else. EDIT: Just now seeing the company's response. How dare you say I was not an actual customer. Let me be real clear so there's no confusion as to why you got a 1 star review. First of all, my delivery was rescheduled 2 times. I was assured that my delivery would take priority to beat the bad weather approaching later in the week. Your team unwrapped my 70 year old piano before removing it from the truck. It was specifically instructed to be a short truck that could come down my driveway. Nope. Full sized semi blocked my small side street for the duration, while I had to BACK UP MY PICK UP TRUCK FOR THEM TO LOAD INTO AND THEN DRIVE IT DOWN MY 100 YARD GRAVEL DRIVEWAY. (What if I didn't have a truck? What on earth would they have done then?) Oh, yes, did I mention it was pouring down rain the entire time. So, in conclusion, this is absolutely an actual customer, not a competitor or robo review.

This company should be called "The Worse Way to Move"!! During my move they ripped a hole in my brand new couch and damaged the carpet in my new home. Took several pictures of the damage during the move and was given the run around for over 2 months. Tried calling multiple times to get things resolved. Very unprofessional!! If I could give this company a negative star, I would. ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

Do NOT consider these guys to move your belongings. I had them move me out of Bloomington a few years ago. I waited for over a month, living out of a suitcase, on an air matress, until my items arrived to my new location. Once I received my belongings, I noticed that items, including an IPod were stolen from my nightstand. Of course, I called the manager to complain, but I didn't get anywhere, as he stuck by his guys. Absolutely, the worst moving experience of life.

I was very nervous hiring a moving company, because I've heard horror stories of broken items and over charging. A Better Way Moving made all of those nerves disappear. They way under promise and way over deliver! If their quote seems too high it's because they give worst case scenario. My bill was less than half of what they quoted. The workers were on time and very professional and let me tell you they hustled!!! They didn't take their time to run up the bill they ran fast to lower the bill but still make sure they took their time to properly handle delicate merchandise. I could not have been happier!!!

Would never use this company again..employee in charged showed up with truck that was too small so they had to return the next day to pick up remaining furniture..he told me I would not be charged for their mistake..I contacted owner(Randy) and was told he had no right to tell me that and despite their mistake I had to pay in full for another truck the second day..after items were moved into my home I told owner I was a chronic pain patient and had over done it and my son who is a Police Officer for past 7 years would hand deliver the check and the owner freaked out and said it was unacceptable and how would he know he would be paid ..I replied that there are honest people in the world so he reluctantly accepted the solution for my son to immediately take a check to him...I offered to pay for the first part of the move on the phone with the owner and he said no wait until all was done..he then turns around and tells his staff that I had not paid him for services already provided...this man is a pathological liar..I also had approximately 150$-200$ worth of damage done after the move..I submitted with photos what had been ruined and replacement cost and after Four texts he still refuses to answer my questions regarding reimbursement!! Please save yourself a big headache and avoid this unprofessional, dishonest company that doesn't reimburse for damage they cause! To date I haven't been paid and obviously am not going to be...cannot believe these people are still in business!

Scheduled a move more than a month ahead for 9-10am. Called them at 10:15 when they still hadnt shown up. Said they were an hour late. Ok, so around 11. 12 oclock, still no word. I call again. Guy says he has to call the crew to see whats up. He will call me back. At 1:15i get a call saying they were on there way(20 minutes away). No thanks. I called soft touch. They came by and did a last minute move for me...cheaper than a better way was too. No problem better way! Moving and taking care of my 10 month old is no problem, i can deal with being completely screwed by my moving company too! How you have a good rating from the BBB is beyond me. WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!

Great price BUT lots of damaged and broken items along with boxes unpacked , repackaged and items taken from repackaged boxes, we know this because we used clear packing tape and the repackaged Boxes were brown tape. As well as during the 2 months our furnishings were in storage some one broke into my wife's jewelry box and removed many items. Delivery was not so great with a mover with a real bad attitude. Good news we have the State police investigating as well as were are in process of looking at just going to court .

DO NOT EVER use this company!!! I hired them to move a few heavy pieces of furniture right across the parking lot and they send out an old man who had no business even trying to move anything heavy and needless to say I ended up with my dresser and other items broke,nothing was where it was supposed to be moved,and the dryer wasnt hooked up which was part of the job. This would've been an easy job for professionals which I thought I hired but clearly they were not. I wish I could give -10 stars on this. I would not recommend them to anyone and will never use them in the future.

Unreliable and unprofessional, Last minute he decided to get in personal matters instead of just showing up and doing the moving as arranged. Had we needed a therapist, I would have contacted one. We needed them to show up, pack up the house and move the boxes to a PODS container. Found them on Craigslist which should hav been a red flag, but the move was last minute. Moving is stressful enough, having to deal with someone that is looking to find any reason not to work is the worst. The Move was scheduled tomorrow 9am, now 9pm the night before I'm unable to get anyone. Hopefully I will be able to get someone tomorrow, but it is more likely they just cost us several more days.

These guys were great. They moved me during horrible, snowy weather but we're able to get me out of my old home and into my new home in record time. They got everything done in one day, the price was way less than expected and the gentlemen working were friendly and prefessional. They moved my antique, heavy piano like it weighed nothing at all! These guys came and did an amazing job! I hired this company to unload and repack my 26 foot rented truck to move from Bloomington to Michigan. It had been packed very poorly by another local Bloomington company. They packed it very well, repadding everything! One item I had was an old upright piano, which they strapped in separately. I provided lots of ratchet straps and they used them in the right places! The amazing thing is that I dozed off while driving, and bounced off a side wall on a bridge! Fortunately I regained control of the truck and no one was hurt. I thought things would be damaged in the truck because we really hit hard and bounced around a lot. But, everything was secure when I stopped! Only a ceramic pot had rolled around and got broken. I am thankful for their hard work and highly recommend this company!

They do their job really well. They correctly gave us quotes. Also, they refunded as much as the difference between calculated weight and the actual weight of our stuff. When they are loading stuff, they make almost no noise moving stuff from the room to the truck. (Funny thing was that when I was doing something in my bedroom and then came out to the living room, I found that all the furniture was mysteriously disappeared!![i mean they were loaded into the truck actually]). They did their job very quietly. Also, I guess they did their best bringing my stuff to the new address as quick as possible so that I received my stuff way earlier than expected (less than a week) considering such a long distance (about 1100 mi) and the moving option (coming together with other's container). I highly recommend this company. They are very honest and efficient workers.

STAY AWAY from this company. Did not honor the delivery date and we called twice to verify the date. We have so many items missing it is ridiculous, antique hutch with broken glass in door, and they prepared it for the move. Boxes smashed so you can imagine how the items in the box faired. They don’t know what they are doing obviously. When the delivery truck did arrive, they found another persons items on the truck, which makes us wonder who has our belongings? This is not a company that is honest, that has your best interest and especially respects your household items that you entrusted them to move. Horrible service. Would give them negative stars if I could.
