Chris Ivey and Herby moved me out on 6/22/19 and were awesome movers! The movers came prepared with everything needed (dollies, packing tape, wrap, etc) and were flexible with accommodating a handful of extra boxes. I was especially impressed with their efficiency, care they took not to break anything, and the number of boxes they can individually carry in one go. They literally packed a super large box with 8 smaller boxes so as to not lose any time. A+, would definitely use again. Thanks guys!

Update - the company called trying to remedy the situation. They did offer to reimburse me for the cost of the gutter repair that the HOA charged me for. I am awaiting reimbursement and will update when received. I do appreciate the owner getting involved and proving he cares for this company. The claims department manager was also helpful once she found out that I was charged for the damage directly. :) _________________________________________________________________ Worst company you could use. First of all this was the second time I used them because the first time went smoothly, so I will give them props there. However I asked for the same movers the second time and they did not provide me with movers, they provided me with pot heads.....smelled like weed before they walked in my house. Second, they damaged the gutter - you know the only thing a moving truck could reach to dent - and denied it. When I called twice to ask about the claim I was told that I am no longer a customer since my services were rendered. The claims manager would not transfer me to anyone, raised her voice at me and kept telling me she was not allowed to talk to me about a matter that involved my money. I know most people won't believe this, probably not even her boss...but the management company who is also trying to speak with her about the damage received the same response, yelling and she even ended the call on him before he was done asking her questions. I HOPE this woman and the movers do not reflect how the owner truly views his REPEAT customers. I just wanted reimbursement for the damage, I wasn't asking for anything else. Too bad because I have moved 4 times in the last 5 years and I thought I finally had a solid company to help us transfer for work.

Actual movers Luis, Julio, and Leonard were awesome. Friendly, fast, and professional. They worked with me throughout the process making sure to ask my wife and I questions to get everything to the right place. The only reason this is not five stars is because some time was wasted by management during the loading process. The movers filled the entire truck, but were not able to get everything from my house. Even though they could not move all of my stuff, management wanted to charge me extra because they had only budgeted 3/4 of a truckload. Even though the miscalculation 1) was made by them and 2) did not matter because they had no plans to fill the remainder of the truck anyway, they wanted to charge extra. Thankfully, Luis, Julio, and Leonard were there to succinctly explain the situation to management and help me avoid the charge, but I still lost an hour or two in time spent discussing it. EDIT: I was overall pleased until I tried to file a claim for some small damage. At the time of the move, I filled out paperwork on the damaged items and the movers took pictures which they told me were for a claim. However, after several back and forth emails with the claim department (who offered virtually no help or guidance) I am giving up. They told me that the report and pictures taken by the movers are not for claims and burden of proof is on me. It's been over a month since my move and one piece of furniture has already been thrown because it was so badly damaged. DO NOT USE COFFEE BROS UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN THEY WON'T BREAK ANYTHING REQUIRING A CLAIM 2nd Edit: You can see the passive-aggressive response from Coffey Brothers to my first edit, so I want to be clear about what made me change this review. It had nothing to do with the estimate being changed, however wrong they were, because Luis and the moving team completely understood the absurdity of trying to up charge me and they convinced the front office to back down. I gave them an inventory list and they were unable to even accommodate all of my items, but still wanted to charge me more for it. I did not give a square footage or truckload amount for them to estimate, I gave them an inventory list. Their inability to correctly estimate the cost and space required to transport that list is what initiated their request for more money. Referring to me as "silly guy" won't change the fact that this happened. The damage was small, one end table broken beyond use and one hole in the drywall. My frustration is not with this damage, it is with the unwillingness of the claims department to 1) respond and 2) provide any help or guidance. When moving, we are often at the mercy of the moving company. We rely on them to help us through the process and make an already stressful situation less so. Unfortunately, the only people at Coffey Bros who seemed to want to do this were the on site movers. One small bit of bad service can cloud an otherwise pleasant experience.

Used these movers for a long distance move from the city to the suburbs. Movers Tyrone and Julian were awesome, they showed up on time, found parking and then got to moving right away. They were very careful with all of our valuables and got through some pretty tight spaces within the move. I would highly recommend these movers especially the duo that we got!! Made the move easy and nothing to worry about!

These guys moved me a few years back and did a great job. So I recently contacted them for a quote for my upcoming move. I completed the online form ...waited a few days, no response. Then I completed the short version of the form thinking I completed the wrong form, again waited a couple of days but no response. Then I submitted a question on their website, you can guess the outcome. So I called them, and told them I was a previous customer and would like a quote and explained I never heard back from anyone. The guy I spoke with said they are understaffed and don't do quotes unless the move is a couple weeks away but said they can give me a quote. He made it sound like he was doing me a favor but whatever I said fine. He was able to find my web form and said he'll send me a quote by end of the day. Well that was Friday, I'm writing this review on Wednesday still no quote. Given such poor customer service, having to jump through hoops for a quote and no concept of customer appreciation when an existing customer is trying to give you repeat business, I will give my business to a more responsive moving company and will not refer anyone to this company because I don't want to subject anyone else to this type of customer service. Whatever service they provided in the past has gone downhill. , I had previously given them a 5 star rating on Yelp which I deleted given my most interaction with them. Stay the heck away from this company and find another mover.

The moving crew is always professional, efficient, and affordable. For my most recent move, I used a team of three guys, Tyrone F., Laton S. & Malik H. and they were awesome. They came right on time and began working immediately. Overall I will continue to use their services and would highly recommend to anyone.

Short version is Coffey Bros Moving: *Scammed me with the ol' "too much stuff/need backup" routine *Loaded the truck unprofessionally (verified by Oregon Trail Moving) *Charged me double what I should have been charged ($587.88) *Acted unprofessionally during loading *Caused major damages to my furniture *Loaded furnature unbefitting a professional job Coffey Bros Moving Company showed up to truck load my very average two bedroom apartment. Let's call the guys Husky and Grump. They come upstairs and immediately Husky tells me I have too much stuff for a regular two bedroom will need to call in a third guy. I already declared the amount of boxes beforehand. I shrug, I mean, they are the experts, right? It becomes clear why he did this later on. I didn't like that Husky felt it necesarry to tell me how much they typically get for a tip, which I didn't ask. They worked hard for the first hour, then Husky went to the truck to start stacking. A little while later I noticed that Grump dissappeared; I found him in the truck stacking too, or advising - I don't know. So now just me and the third guy they called are carrying boxes. The third guy they called in ,Julio, was a professional mover, he worked hard and was amicable. I noticed he didn't complain that the other two stopped carrying and loading which of course was the reason they called him there in the first place; they had no intention of working if this guy was going to do all the work without complaint. Problem is, I'm now paying for three professional movers-not one. By the time they finish I notice they had not loaded the truck to the top - there was lots of unfilled space on top. I'm paying by the foot in this truck, so now they're wasting my money. Also, all that unfilled space is space for my stuff to bounce around. When I had a real professional moving company, Oregon Trail Moving unload my truck for half of what I was charged with Coffey, they said that whoever loaded this truck is not a professional moving company and I should make a claim. They explained they didn't tier stack and that stacking cardboard boxes from bottom to top is wrong. But that wasn't all, Coffey Bros also stacked a air conditioner on top of a soft cardboard box crushing it, and most vexing, put my new leather bench leather down on the wood of the truck without protection. I gave them 12 moving blankets! I mean, how careless can you get? Aside from numerous damages, the most vexing is the scamming: Being lazy and charging me double. Final charge: $587.88. Plus a $10 tip each, paid to Husky which he didn't thank me for. I reached out to Coffey Bros Manager using the email they gave me but the manager never returned my email. Instead I got an email from Patricia in claims who told me they punished the unamed workers for the incident, but I doubt that happened since the manager Ken knew nothing about it. Then I called the manager,Ken, directly and explained the issue. It was clear he knew nothing about it and never read my email. He he'd look into the matter and get back to me, but never did. Coffey Brothers came recommended by several members of our family and we immediately saw why on moving day. It was our first time using professional movers so we did not know what to expect. Of course we were ill prepared and it did not phase them. The team of Jacob, Andreaus and Eric were on time, courteous and mind-boggling efficient. They did our two bedroom condo very quickly and made a second stop at our store room. The unload was even faster and they seemed to know where everything went. Hopefully we don’t have to move again for awhile but when we do we’ll definitely use them again.

Freddie and his partner worked great as a team and never took a break. All of my belongings we're well taken care of and the truck was packed with care. My girlfriend and I hired Coffey Bros to help us move a couch, bed, and 8 boxes into our new place. Given the minimal # of items we had, when vetting the quote we asked if there was a minimum $ amount or # of hours. We were told no, several times, and that we would only be charged for the actual time spent. This turned out to be false, and the movers showed up expecting a two hour minimum. The two movers were very cool about it, and we all realized there was some sort of misunderstanding coming from the Coffey Bros office. Tammy and the other office workers were adamant this was not the agreement, and was incredibly unprofessional and rude when we called and referenced the initial quote provided by phone AND validated via text message. We ended up telling the movers we would handle it, but tipped them $50 for their trouble. We finished in 35 minutes. We posted a negative review, given the bait and switch tactic and lack of customer service from the office, but apparently the unprofessionalism didn’t end there. Someone claiming to be the Owner responded with the immature, uncouth and uneducated response you see here. More importantly – everything that they allege transpired is a total farce. This slanderous response and childish behavior is not what anyone would come to expect from a business owner. It’s worth noting they kept the $150 deposit (plus $50 tip) despite not delivering the services. I’ll let the screenshots speak for themselves. If your surname doesn't sound American, be safe. Plenty of other professional moving companies out there for you to choose. This isn’t one of them.

Aaron and Joe were super efficient getting us moved in! Edited: Our movers offered us a small discount if we posted a Google and Yelp review right there and then at the end of the move. I feel that was a somewhat dishonest practice because we had to show them the review to get the discount, so I felt pressured to give them a good review. DON'T GET ME WRONG, our service was super fast, and our movers were friendly and careful with our stuff. If they had just asked me to leave a review without offering me a discount or asking me to show my review to them, I would give them 5 stars, but since I feel that it was a dishonest way to get more 5 star reviews, I'm lowering mine to 4 stars.

Tyronne and Allen, our movers were amazing! They worked very hard and quickly and professionally on a difficult job. It took longer than expected but they had no issues staying until the job was complete. The only reason this is a four star review is because of the scheduling. We booked a date and time 6 weeks before the move, and a few days before we were told that they overbooked and moved our time to later in the day. We were unable to get the arrival window we booked and being only a few days out were unable to find another mover with availability. It all worked out okay, and the movers even showed up early, but it was unfortunate to get bumped from the time slot we agreed to.

I will begin by saying customer service and problem resolution are KEY for me. I've used Coffey Bros twice before today, the most recent being October 25, 2018. The first two moves were excellent, no issues everything ran great! The crews were on time and extremely professional, as well as efficient staying within the estimated time frame. Today on the other hand, started off VERY poorly due to the foreman having bad communication and frankly his attitude sucked. BUT, I got on the phone before they started and the office staff (coordinator and dispatch) were extremely nice and responsive to the issue and trying to get a resolution that worked, which I did appreciate. The foreman that was not customer focused was removed from my move promptly at 930a, but that reduced my team to 2 and hence increased the time and cost for the move. A replacement person was sent, but he didn't arrive with another truck until 230 which prolonged the 9a to 2p (at the latest) move... it's 510 and they're still here. On the bright side the gentleman that stayed on site to facilitate the move were great! The problem resolution from the office was great. I don't think it would be fair to give a poor review of a company due to 1 employees conduct.

Very poor communication. I received an email with an estimate and called Mike as requested per the email for follow up. He told me he'd get back to me after talking to one of his drivers for an estimated delivery time and I never heard back from him again. Thank goodness I had a backup moving company that has turned out to be exceptional and much more professional than Coffey Bros. Tyrone F. and Manny V. we're great! They showed up on time, worked hard throughout, and did a great job wrapping and protecting my stuff. There were no hidden charges in the end. They finished the job in the time estimated. Overall, it was a really good experience and I would recommend them or use them again.

Our experience: The movers showed up exactly on time. They were able to park the truck in the world's tightest alley so that they're move was quick, safe and easy. Javier did a walk through of the space with me to understand what stuff was being sent to what place. Half of our stuff was being moved to the Coffey Bros storage units, and the other half was being taken as Junk. Their Junk removal service was so convenient! The workers additionally took apart some furniture and brought their own hand tools. They moved our whole office in under two hours into 2 trucks. They did a sweep at the end to make sure everything was taken, and that the correct boxes were going to their final end destination. The move could not have gone more smoothly! Update: Unfortunately, as I am unwrapping everything nearly every piece of furniture I have is nicked, damaged or missing a critical piece rendering it unusable. Even when they wrapped it up, it was still damaged. Even my grandmother's dresser that had withstood 5 moves in the last 50+ years and has never been damaged. Great guys, but this was a disappointment when I got to my new home. I'm very upset that at the amount I paid, this is what I've received.

Terrible experience. 1) After completing the contract they called 4 hours before my move and told me the hourly rate was actually going to be $40 more expensive than originally quoted. 2) Then I went back and forth with a representative and received written confirmation that I would not be paying for more time than it would actually take to complete move - not the case when the movers showed up and asked me to pay $400 before they even did anything. 3) I called the office and was told that I was contractually obligated to pay and go forward with the move. 4) The movers ended up leaving without moving anything and my $150 deposit was never returned. Poor customer service, lack of transparency and responsibility. I will not recommend or use them again.

We schedule our move for July 10th with a specific needs to move kitchen appliances such as 36" build in refrigerator , 48" stove and many more and looking for a company who has a big trucks with lift gate, pallet Jack and experience movers. We received a specific quote including list of said appliances along with extra insurance. The next day 2 movers arrived with small truck with not pallet jack and narrow lift gate . We've been asked to rent a pallet jack for them ( which we did and paid by our own money ). And only after that movers realized that there truck unfit for the size and weight of the appliances. Frustrated we called our sales person to end there services and we 've been informed that our deposit of $150.00 will not be refunded, due to they showed up. Rip off policy Completely unprofessional, with lack of communication between office personnel and ridiculous customer service.

Worst moving experience of my life. My furniture was not cared for at all and most of it not even wrapped. My crew was completely unprofessional and disorganized. The leader of the crew kept taking personal phone calls and even dropped part of my bed while on the phone. They also complained about the owner of the company which I found to be unprofessional. The two movers, Luis and Robert, were very prompt and arrived exactly as scheduled, as well as called when they were leaving their office to let me know they were on route. They also had suggestions to make the move more efficient, like condensing my smaller items into larger boxes. The office was also great to deal with setting up the move - Dallas was very helpful in answering my many questions and was prompt in replying to my emails. unprofessional and very unpleasant experience. everything was going well the day before the move and I was sure nothing can go wrong. I completed the inventory questionnaire over the phone with Mike Morici and he sent me an estimate. The estimate fell short on both the size of the moving truck and the number of hours it took. When I tried standing up for myself and telling Mike that it was not OK that I was being charged for the movers to wait for another truck (about 1.5 hours) he told me "it is your fault for not giving me the correct number of items".... ok... Yes, mistakes happen BUT, getting such response from people who were hired by me. no, thank you.

Moises was responsive and great to deal with when setting up our move. He was also able to provide us the day & time we wanted with short notice. Moving day came and I was met on time by the smiling faces of Marcos and Jeffrey. They evaluated the items to move, explained what was going to happen, and then immediately got right to work. The entire job door-to-door was estimated at 2-4 hours, but they were done in 51 minutes flat! They were extremely efficient and worked together like a well-oiled machine. It was clear they were not only very experienced, but had worked as a team before. The entire move from start-to-finish was superior to other companies I’ve worked with – professional and no surprises. Next time around we will ask for Marcos and Jeffrey by name!

I paid more than I have in the past and tipped each of the men on the team well. They were friendly in general. However, there were problems... they left important items needed for the furniture that was dismantled in the front yard. There is not a day that goes by as I unpack that there is not another piece of seriously damaged furniture that I find. When they got to the new house I guess they were tired because things have just been dumped anywhere in spite of the boxes being labeled with the rooms they were to be brought to. I asked if they would remove a dresser the previous owners left and it is still sitting downstairs. I have moved 3 times in 5 years and always had movers. Every other time I have paid less and had considerably less damage to my property.

Jef and his crew (Will and David) were great. They moved us from a 1BR with a storage unit into a 2BR on the second floor and the whole operation took 4.5 hours. Every precaution was taken when moving furniture and they didn't go overboard with packing materials, so extra charges were minimal. These guys lifting skills were SAVAGE. Total cost of the move was much lower than we anticipated. Will definitely use Coffey Bros next time we move.
