I wish I could give them ZERO STAR. Terrible service. Terrible customer care. Don't ever use their service. ALL THE GOOD RATINGS YOU SEE HERE ARE FAKE !!!! They gave me estimate of $1300 for one bed room. Finally ended up paying $2300. Total rippers. My $500 worth dining table is broken in to pieces. Cupboard, coffee table, mattress and every other furniture are damaged.

Justin and crew have moved us now a total of four times. Each and every time they have been timely, professional, courteous, and most importantly: incredibly efficient. They never hesitate to go the extra mile and often do things you don't even think of (like adding felt sliders to the bottom of furniture). We always marvel at how quickly they get the job done and how well they treat our property. Cannot recommend them enough.

This company was one of the least professional companies I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. They were late to picking up my stuff for moving, took 6 1/2 hours to load the truck and broke my ceiling fan while moving things out of the apartment. They then cancelled the original agreed upon delivery date, the secondary delivery date we scheduled, and finally we late upon arrival for the third set delivery date. They overcharged my delivery and threatened to lock my items in storage if I did not pay. More than half of my boxes were damaged or broken all together. They were missing multiple items upon delivery as well that are irreplaceable. Do not trust this company, find another mover at all costs.

The entire process was seamless and stress free. They were on time and packed up everything quickly. My household items were delivered in the time. And my goods came in perfect condition. AWFUL SERVICE, Moved from Ga to Texas. We sent photos of everything in home before we got a quote. They brought a truck that was to small and Said they would have to charge double to bring another truck. We had to leave about $3000.00 worth of stuff behind. Charged us $3000 to $4000.00 more than our estimate. Took 21 days to get our stuff. We had stuff broken but never filed anything with insurance because it was not worth dealing with this company anymore. We were told they set they put beds etc. back together at new home. All they did was unload the truck and leave!!!! You will regret using this company!!!!!

Horrible company! Crew that picked up were extremely shady and kept trying to bully my girlfriend into going to an ATM for "extra fees". They got visibly upset when she didn't leave the "Additional items" section blank when she signed off. Then the shipment was put into a warehouse for over 52 days. Had to file a complaint with FMCSA before they hired yet another company to get the stuff here with lots of broken and crushed items DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CROOKS

A friend of mine is relocating to Georgia from Ohio. She and her husband used this company to move their belongings. Days after their items were loaded up and taken away, they received a call saying their load was too heavy and they were being charged far more money than the agreed upon price. Their belongings are now being held hostage until they pay thousands more! To add insult to injury, there’s now a review for this “company” that describes what their move SHOULD have looked like (including the shipping of their two motorcycles) except its dressed up in a pretty bow to give the illusion that the company did what they agreed to do. Any company that has to write fabricated reviews for themselves is not a company to trust. This is a scam. They are disgusting. ODot has been contacted as well as BBB.

AHR aka Moving Services LLC out of Atlanta..THE WORST!!!! With the exception of Karen in customer service this place is HORRIBLE! Kevin the coordinator is a crook and Eli...OMG this MF has the nerve to argue and cuss at you to get more money after they take your property. This place should be closed like the day after they opened. Do NOT expect to receive your property when you request it let alone ALL of your property THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU! I guarantee if you have anything nice THEY WILL STEAL your property and what they do deliver IT WILL BE DAMAGED! Any post that are positive ITS A SCAM..THEY WROTE IT!! Jerry is afraid of Eli so he will NOT do anything for you. BBB NEED TO CLOSE THIS BUSINESS AND INCARCERATE EVERYONE ON PAYROLL!! If I could select Zero stars, I would. Please beware of this "business" because they are scammers! The woman is impossible to get on the phone. I called multiple times and left messages with no response for days. It doesn't stop there. My quote doubled although I SIGNED a document which stated the amount cannot change. They held my possessions hostage until I paid the amount, items were broken from the number of transitions, and according to their weight, I lost a literal TON of material.I forced to pay the higher amount. I didn't even get a heads up they were on their way and had to leave work to receive the items with CASH. The lesson I learned: Do you homework. I scrolled through the "5" stars and noticed most of them have the same word misspelled which is "whit" and that's pretty crappy they would leave their own business stars.

These folks are frauds... they took additional $1300.00 than quoted to deliver my stuff yet steal a lot of things from my inventory. Below are the list of things these people need to deliver: 1. 55" Flat screen TVs - 2 numbers 2. Large Samsonite Luggage with full of clothes and other things - 1 3. DO NOT TRUST THE 5 STAR RATING YOU SEE BELOW< THEY ARE NOT REAL... FABRICATED! Alex Called me on September 1 since I searched for moving quote from difference moving companies online, and he took the entire list of inventory I wanted to ship. Then I was quoted with ~$2150.00 on September 1,2018 and Paid 30% down (596.10). I made sure they will pickup and drop-off during the weekends since I can not take off during the week. ALEX Said they will not only do it on the weekend, they will come at the specific time I want them to drop-off or pickup. I donated about 35% of furniture's which was scheduled to be moved on September 8th. The move was scheduled for September 8 or 9, and they showed up on September 9th (Sunday) to pick-up. The crew dropped my dresser from second floor to first and broke it. once they picked up everything, they handed me a receipt stating the revised charges is 3300.00 since I they didn't quote right in the first place. Long story short, after a lot of back and forth communication the bill is updated to 2551.and they demanded me to pay 50% of the 2551 otherwise they will not deliver my stuff. I gave up and paid them 1276.00. Next, I asked them to deliver on the weekends (Friday-Sunday) which they have problem with now. Today is 12/11/2018 and they didn't deliver my stuff nor they have any intention to deliver them. They stole my stuff as well as the money I paid them for the service I never received $1872.00 (596 + 1276). All my belongings (Furniture, clothes, households things, shoes, etc....) are gone. THIS COMPANY IS FRAUD, THEY HAVE 'F' RATING WITH BBB, and THEY CHANGE COMPANY NAME FREQUENTLY TO BE IN BUSINESS.people are FRAUDS....

this is a fraud company, they took my stuff and than sent me a revised quotation with significant high amount when I have less no of items than originally agreed upon. Update: After negotiation they lower the cost by 350$, but still higher than the original estimate, still no clue when will i get my stuff. will update my review once get my stuff.

Alan from American Home made promises and quoted a price to win our business. They showed up very unprofessional. They held our belongings hostage until we gave them additional money. 25% over the agreed to price. I would not recommend them to anyone. They told us what we wanted to hear and then tried to increase the price on the pick. I refused and told them to unload. They again agreed to the price and said it was okay. Once delivered they would not unload unload we got cash of a 25% increase. Not a good way to do business.

Although the company discloses that pick up times may change, my pick up DATE and TIME have changed more frequently than communicated. Today, my driver shared that "there has been a mixup with the jobs. I'm so sorry. The office will call you." I have not been contacted by the office, and I still have no update on the ETA of my pickup. This company's communication is completely unprofessional. I am a very disappointed customer.

American Home Relocation and crew helped me a couple of days ago move and they were very polite, efficient and professional as well as good nature. Quoted my mother one price, with an entire paper trail showing what was owed. Then when she was checking up on delivery was told she owed 3 times as much, and now her entire household is being held ransom. Originally estimated cost by weight, changed it to cubic feet with no documentation in the contract language stating anything like that. Also removed some of the "manager discount" that is clearly stated on all the previous paper as 535 and now shows 235 on their inflated bill. The customer service does not respond to questions and seems like they just reiterate what is owed with no explanation to the charge or changes to the contract they are trying to force. Also, many of these reviews are copy/paste to falsify a higher rating on google... UPDATE: My mom had to get someone at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration at the USDOT involved for them to honor the original contract, and received her stuff with lots of damage, and is following up with the claim process.

I DID A MOVE JUST GETTING OUT THE MILITARY AND THEY SUBLEASED THE CONTRACT OUT TO A "MOVING SERVICES" IN ATLANTA. I WAS IN North Carolina AT THE TIME MOVING TO TEXAS, THE MOVER CHARGED ME $400, JUST TO MOVE MY THING BECAUSE I WAS "ON THE 2ND FLOOR" ACCORDING TO THEM. THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY MOVING MATERIAL, FLIRTED THE WHOLE TIME, AND DIDNT COME UNTIL 8PM THAT NIGHT WHEN THEY WERE SCHEDULE TO COME THAT MORNING. I WAS GIVING PAPERWORK FROM THE "MOVING SERVICES" COMPANY STATING ALL COMPLAINTS GO THROUGH THEM. WHEN THE MOVERS GOT TO MY RESIDENCE, THEY HAD A TRUCK FULL OF STUFF. I ASKED WHY IS THERE HOUSEHOLD GOODS ALREADY ON THE TRUCK AND THEY SAID THAT THE MAN WAS OVER CHARGED AND DIDNT WANT TO DOWNLOAD HIS THINGS UNTIL IT WAS SETTLED. SO THAT'S WHAT I WAS TOLD THE EXTRA CHARGE WAS. FAST FORWARD, I DIDNT RECEIVE MY GOODS UNTIL 2 MONTHS LATER AND MY TABLE WAS STOLEN, MK PURSES, AND MILITARY AWARDS, AND PARAPHERNALIA WAS ALL GONE. I HAVE A BROKEN TV, BROKEN CHASE, AND COUCH FRAME BENT, AND BROKEN PICTURES. MADE A CLAIM, AND THEY WANTED TO SETTLE FOR $79, I DENIED THAT REQUEST, FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB, AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS "I WASN'T CHARGED EXTRA, AND AN APOLOGY!" I WAS CHARGED EXTRA BECAUSE I HAVE THE RECEIPT, AND THAT'S BAFFLING THAT SOMEONE WORK SO HARD FOR THEIR HOUSEHOLD GOODS TO BE DAMAGED AND STOLEN AND ALL THEY HAVE TO STAY IS "SORRY" WORST COMPANY EVER AND THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN AND OUT OF BUSINESS. THEY ARE STEALING MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS. Trusting strangers with my valuables isn’t something that comes naturally to me. I didn’t want to hire a moving company for my last move. But my friends kept telling me that I could never move such a long distance on my own. So I hired American home relocation and held my breath. When I called them, like every other moving company, they promised to take very good care of me. But unlike other moving companies, they actually did take very good care of me. The movers were prompt, efficient and friendly. The customer care kept in touch with me and didn’t get bothered when I kept calling them. I was so glad when they timely delivered all my valuables in excellent condition. Maybe I need to have a little more faith in people. These people were certainly not out to get me!

Mike and Josef did a good job packing I was very happy whit their job . Karen from customer service was very helpful doing the process so I want to thank her for that . the delivery come on a very big truck and we needed to have a shuttle service that was not in my move baghet no way in with that big truck That was a little disappointment that is the only disappointment in my move Thank America Home relocation.

BEWARE! This company overcharges, breaches contract, doesn't give half the required documents required by the FMCSA, and is managed by the most inept man I have ever talked to. This company even has 10 complaints with the FMCSA in 2019! A good moving company definitely shouldn't have more than one or two in a three month span! Eli Allen, the manager doesn't care about customer service or even following the signed contract. He told me to "forget what the contract says" when I was complaining he was charging me $75 dollars per 7 steps instead of the STATED AMOUNT of $75 per 10 stairs. I I would never recommend this company unless you want to see what a moving company SHOULDN'T look like.

American home relocation is definitely one of the best moving companies. I have used them 4 times, for both cross-country and out of state moves. Professional movers who are employees of the company do their job accurately and it saves the clients lots of money. The movers I have had in the past took great care of your items. They are helpful and polite. Their estimates are always on point. I've had companies provide an estimate to find out they low balled to get the job. Their manager has provided estimates that turn out to be exact, he knows his business. I always think the highest compliment is a referral. I have referred them to several friends with the same great result.

Bad experience. A representative named Peter pressured me into signing and putting down a deposit for a potential move without explaining the initial $ 190 down payment was non-refundable. When I attempted to cancel the same day because I was low on funds, he THEN told me my deposit was non-refundable. He said he would get back to me. He never did. I left him a polite email inquiring about the status of my deposit. He never replied. Pure snake in the grass. Stay away from these guys.

Left some important details out of my move, drivers demanded cash payment rather than card and it wasn't explained beforehand that the drivers would only take cash. Drivers they hired were pushy about tips and barely spoke English. The driver increased the amount I'm supposed to pay by 100 then sneered at the small amount I offered them in a tip. Their trucks were not labeled and drivers in street clothes, no lanyards no nothing.

Do NOT recommend, a family member used their service, horrible customer service, household items NOT picked up or received on time. They showed numerous days later than agreed upon for pick up and delivery. Numerous household items damaged and broken. They ask to be paid with cash or money order only. Do not trust them with your personal household items!

Held my stuff ransom after Pete promised a low rate ( they raised it by thousands). Anything valuable was broken or stolen ( gaming consoles, TV, motorcycles, bed, tools, ladders) They posted a fake review describing my move (see Lucas Frenk) Show up in rental trucks and further extort money from you by demanding a tip to do anything Customer service is hostile and they don't respond to BBB complaints Don't let these people rip you off. I am still working with DOT and law enforcement, but I am a realist and don't expect to ever see my stuff again. The one star I have to leave is for the well orchestrated scam. Bravo

Every time they've moved me I have lived on the 3rd floor and the movers have not complained one bit! Just jumped right it and got it done. Can't say enough about how great they are!

I recently used American Home Relocation to move out of an apartment in the Chicago Suburbs to a new house KY. I had planned on having my possessions stored with the company as I went through the process of purchasing a new house. They were nice at first to deal with giving me an estimate cost of moving based on what furniture I told them would be being delivered. They asked for a part of the payment up front around when I got the quote that would be made via credit card. When we started scheduling the movers to come out, I knew I made a pretty bad mistake… The movers did not show up the first day at all (when I was provided a 4-hour window.) Second day I was given another window of 1-4 PM, the movers showed up in a rental (Ryder) truck at 9 PM. Upon getting there I asked if they could add on a few more things, they were very resistant to the request and stated that they would move the furniture for me and not write it on the inventory list if I gave the 3 drivers $100-150 each… After I told them no, they worked till about 9:30 PM and just went home leaving things still in boxes and there equipment still in my apartment. I was to move out of the apartment the next afternoon. I was forced to get a hotel room for the night. The next morning when they were supposed to show up at 8 AM the didn’t arrive until 11 AM. They also damaged the laminate flooring and put a few dents into the walls which caused me to lose my security deposit. The move ended up costing me close to $1200 extra due to a few extra items as well as a ton of hidden fees (not included the extra money lost for a night at a hotel and my security deposit). Here are a few things they wont disclose (A flight of stairs is considered 7 stairs, any more steps than that are you are charged 75-100$ for another 7 stairs, if the truck is more than 75 ft. away from your door you get changed a long-distance fee of another 75-100$, charged for packing material. There were a few more things like this that are not clearly disclosed but over the course of the last two months I have forgotten them.) In the end i payed 50% of the remaining balance with a check (after all the extra tacked on fees) and the rest would be paid via cash or a postal money order upon delivery. After a month went by, I was ready to have my furniture delivered. When calling to schedule the delivery, we worked with office employees named Karen & Michelle who was an absolute nightmare to deal with. They would avoid calls, hang up on you and were just in general rude they could not give us anything better than a 7-21 business day window where they would call when they are close by. We ended up working with a new office person named Samuel who really turned this whole experience around. Samuel and the dispatcher Jerry were always answering questions, giving us updates even on the weekends and made this whole experience much more bearable. Without Samuel & Jerry I would have left this as a 1-star review. The movers that came, David and Brain, where also incredibly helpful. They brought all the furniture into each respective room, helped undo the moving blankets, wrap etc. and waited for us to take a quick inventory of everything. Everything was moved in and inventory was taken all in under a hour (granted i only had 38 items on the list and moved from a 1 bedroom apartment). There were a few things broken from the move (a broken bookcase that we were told about upfront, broken corner stand and a broken standing lamp all of which were cheap and easily replaceable for about $50). All my expensive items (TV’s, power tools etc.) were present and intact. Its debatable whether I would use American Home Relocation again but with employees like Samuel, Jerry, David & Brian they are at least moving in the right direction.

STOP AND READ!! I advise to never use this company! What a scam! Aside from all the spam 5-star reviews that are clearly fake accounts, they are outright crooks. They caught a warehouse employee stealing my 65” Flatscreen TV on camera while their warehouse manager was on medical leave. Dispatcher Jerry, Customer Service Michelle, and the delivery drivers assured me they would make things right and replace my TV. They assured me the warehouse manager was aware of this incident and several other flatscreen TVs that were stolen...on camera! I jumped through the hoops of filing a claim and they have the nerve to say $76 is fair for my $2500 tv. I hope karma serves American Home Relocation and every employee involved a swift justice. Apparently if you work for American Home Relocation you can steal whatever you want and get a slap on the wrist. Do your research and steer clear of these guys or better yet just rent a U-Haul so you can get your belongings to your place on time and fully accounted for.

Driver took my credit card info only to find out that there was a supposed e-mail sent to me although after several very misleading calls was told that the bill was sent to the wrong email and that the truck deivers are not authorized to take credit card information so now im waiting for my furniture and probably random charges to my credit card, will most likely sue these people for their unprofessionalism, incompitance, lack of communication, and credit card theft

I was very afraid of this big move but now I know it can be simple and quick. American Home Relocation guys are professional friendly, fast and clever. The truck is in excellent condition equipped with different gadgets to provided safe and secure moving. They work very fast and also kindly ask where exactly you want every item to be placed in your new house so that you don't have to move it again. I still can't believe it's all done and how easy it was!! it was quite long journey. Very good price in my opinion. Worth it!! Thank you so much :)

I enjoyed the way American home relocation made sure that my TVs and other fragile things were transferred safely. The guys were very skilled and had the right moving tools to move everything in my two bedroom house. They nicely crated my TVs (I have three) and they were all in good working condition upon delivery. My family’s move using American home relocation was very honorable because the movers were very honest since the day I enquired about my move, throughout the planning process and the actual moving. Their estimator gave us a friendly quote and we were glad that they did not any extra charges after the move.

Moved from Ohio to North Carolina. Was told I’d get my shipment on a specific day once that didn’t happen it took an additional 2 weeks. After it was delivered an entire box went “missing” and dresser was completely broke. The delivery guy was no help and could care less about anything. Made a claim just so they can say everything listed in my box (which includes an iPad) and broken dresser was worth $70. Don’t waste your time with this horrible moving company!!!!!!

If I could give ZERO star that's what I will give. This company is very unprofessional! I can't trust them my belongings. Pick up was scheduled for Friday October 5th/Saturday October 6th but they didn't come and I couldn't reach anyone from the office even though they say they are open today on a Saturday. I waited til after 8pm and decided to send an email since I can't reach anyone on the phone and nobody call me back. I said that I want my money back and guess what boom later on someone called me and said they will come tomorrow. Sorry, but I want my money back because I can't trust you my belongings after you have breached the agreement through your unprofessionalism! How can I be sure that you will come tomorrow after you have failed on your last day of pick up? And how can I be sure now that there won't be any other issues later on? Beside that I don't have time tomorrow since I planned as we agreed but you have failed to keep the agreement! I want my deposit back if you don't refund my money I will report your company! Don't go with this company, you will have stress with them because they are unprofessional in customer service and don't follow the agreement!

recently used American home relocation to move a 2 bedroom townhouse in Indiana to a 2 bed unit In Georgia and the two guys Crise and David were great! They arrived early, which was a bonus, and got to work immediately. They worked efficiently and finished up earlier than expected. the whole transaction was easy and smooth. I call BS on any positive comments. **************************************** I would give them a minus 50 if I could. Don't use this company. **************************************** They sub contract the jobs to rip off people. Everything I was told was distorted and my move has been a disaster. My belongings are now stuck in their storage facility 600 miles away and they want 520 a month to store it because the move is almost 800 dollars more than what I was quoted. I have asked for copies of the inventory list and still don't have them. They did not protect my TV and rolled my foam mattress toppers into a cylinder with 9 miles of tape instead of putting them in mattress protectors I paid for.

My move was from Nashville to Las Vegas and let me just say this company is Literally amazing. Super happy I picked this company for my move. When they arrived to get my things they were very informative and kept me up to date on ETA. They packed all my stuff exceptionally well, very quick. I was very very impressed with how well they packed my stuff insuring nothing would get damaged. Very good about answering all my phone calls and questions and I had lots of them. Everything was just perfect from beginning to end. They definitely know their stuff. They tell you it will take 7-21 days for delivery but I literally got my stuff way sooner than that. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and this is coming from someone who is extremely picky!

These guys are professionals. Do the responsible thing by making your own inventory list, and be sure to supervise the loading and unloading. They'll do the rest. I only gave them 2 weeks notice, and they were able to meet the deadline. Like most moving companies and shippers, it's based on cubic feet, so try to condense your load. It's also best to get a 'direct flight'. You don't want someone who has to change trucks mid-route. American home relocation was able to provide direct service from FL to NY

I have never written any kind of review before. I just didn't want to take the time. I usually moved myself with rented trucks and help from my friends. But this time it was just too much to do that way. I had a very large move. American home relocation sent five men to get it done in one day. I was impressed with their organization, courtesy, professionalism and team work. All five men worked very hard. They wrapped all my furniture, glassware and other valuables I was taking with me. They also padded everything as they loaded. I saw them putting up wooden frames on both sides of my big mirror- I was truly astonished with their skills by then. They were very careful with my contents and the houses. We had no damage of any kind. I am extremely pleased with all aspects of the move.

They lost a third of my furniture and damaged other pieces beyond repair. They even inexplicably decided to rip the legs off of a folding desk that I had already folded flat for them..... On top of all that they charged a lot more than they originally estimated and have ignored all of my inquiries about missing items. Would absolutely not recommend.

This is the worst company. Customer service people are rude. Have been hung up on by 3 different customer serv people there when trying to find out about our scheduled pick up time which didnt happen and twice while trying to find out about our refund because the did not fulfill the contact. Told that I didnt have a right to have this type of conversation with them. Sure did they never picked up our items. Do not use these movers. They flat out lie.

Look at this companies rating on Better Business Bureau...it's a D plus. It should be an F. This is not a legit moving company and they have only been open less then a year because they were a different moving company that was shut down based on their illegal practices. They did not honor the original quote they gave us, sent an email asking for our bank account information because they said we owed them more money to get our belongings, showed up after 2 weeks and wouldn't open the truck until we paid them. Several of our items were damaged. They didn't wrap one single item in bubble wrap. They just threw everything in a box so several items broke. And they also stole a jewelry box full of jewelry. These people are criminals. Karma will catch up eventually and they will get what they deserve. Please save yourselves and do not hire them...they will probably be out of business soon anyway and hopefully in jail where they belong.

EDIT: after 8monts of posting review; the website is using trolls to give fake reviews. If you want to take a risk, it is your choice. after 3 weeks of posting this; I notice a lot of 5 stars reviews. And guess what I found. Two people (ashley greene and gadia greyson) having the same review word by word. Every month they are using trolls to give 5 stars rating ______________ Stressfull experience. Got a billing for $3100 originally $1475 then negotiated for 3days and they agreed to $2300. They asked for more $$$ because of overweight items. Asked for reciept and it shows 3100lbs for initial weigh and 3900lbs after re-weigh. WHAT??? my items grew after transit??? Different people in the company is saying different things. Dont even know where my items are. I asked to talk for manager and he is either 1. not in the office 2. doing payroll 3. talking to other customer. I called them for 3 days and 3 afternoons. Finally released my items after 5days of hell doing followup, waiting in phone and tons of patience. I thought I can save $510 but paid $825 more. Get another company and there are lots of them.

One word of advice, do not believe the fake 5 star reviews. It has been a nightmare working with this company. They gave me a binding quote and asked for over 3X the original quote for delivery without producing any proof and have been holding my stuff hostage for over a month. The main IL office blocks you out once your stuff has been picked and the GA office (dispatch) does not care. I have filed complaints with the BBB and USDOT as well. As for now I am still waiting for my stuff with no end in sight for the misery.

This company is beyond belief! They picked up our goods in NC, the truck drivers were great and did a great job packing us out, BUT THAT IS WHERE THE GOOD PART ENDS! We had to put our stuff in storage due to relocating in Ar, and finding a house to buy! It took two request to get our good delivered over a month later and when we got them they were on a Ryder truck with other peoples goods! About a third of the boxes were damaged and we are missing several more boxes from our household goods! We have no idea if they are still in storage or was delivered to someone else! These people won't answer their phone so I can even ask them where our goods are! The answering machine says leave a message and it won't take one!

These people are FRAUDSTERS and ROBBERS. They STOLE my 55 inch LG UHD TV. NEVER EVER try them. They will quote low price initially and will ask for double before unloading. Initially when they came to pickup, the driver was very rude and told to give extra money. They charged me $600 than estimated because i just increased 2 boxes, and also asked for more Tip amount. I paid the extra amount expecting it to be delivered safely. When they arrived they again charged me extra for stairs and long carry and didnt unload the stuff unless i pay. The TV Was MISSING. Nobody taking the responsibility the where the TV is and the customer service is rude as well. Also the bed frame top is missing. I cannot even put my mattress on top of it.

The first person I talked to was very nice, expained to me everything and told me after telling him how much id be moving it would be 1700 and i said oh good okay. Hired them, and the movers came and loaded up the truck and said my nee price is now 2,700. BUT he would cut me a deal of 400 if i tipped him and his buddy more. I asked him if i did that would they charge me more when they moved my stuff again, he said no so i said okay. Then two days latet i get an email that i have to pay half the fee now and they wont ship my stuff until i do, mind you, you cant pay just by card. That would be way to easy, if you want to pay by card you have to also pay an extra 3 percent AND get 3 pieces of paper notarized. There were other options but all had to be mailed in and they wouldnt move my stuff until they got the payment

I have moved from Ohio to Virginia. I was given a quote over the phone for the move by Leah in IL office, who was very professional. The movers showed up on time and delivered the goods when promised. We also took advantage of storage because I was not able to receive their goods until two months later. The movers could not have been nicer. Jerry the dispatcher always returned my call and put me at ease as moves are stressful. We paid a little more than the phone quote due to wrapping of TVs and glass top table. However, it was still reasonable. The household goods were received in Virginia in good order, no problems. American Home Relocation price was half the price of the professional big name movers. I have no problem recommending them for your move.

...do NOT hitch your wagon to this company....communication was poor, at best, and usually, we ended up trying to chase these guys down via phone but always got put into voicemail oblivion...rare call backs, just constant runarounds....signed a contract for a specific date of delivery, 6/18, and we ended up getting the delivery 2 months later...luckily, we got everything and most of it arrived unscathed, except for a hutch which the driver tried to manhandle into the garage and he broke a pane of glass.... Terrible, terrible, terrible...don't be fooled by the initial estimate! Ours went up by hundreds, and since they had all of our stuff, they had a captive audience so we ended up paying...they also tried to charge us STORAGE FEES, because of the 2 month gap in delivery time, but luckily, we were able to document our phone calls to them to show that THEY breached the contract and not us....had to haggle over that tho, and they ended up hanging up on us...they eventually dropped the storage fees tho, which was the right thing to do... Steer clear everyone!!!!

We were charged extra when the movers arrived and after they were in transit for various fees not discussed prior to arrival. Customer service is impossible to operate with and is extremely disorganized. No one is willing or able to resolve issues and usually asks to call back and then doesn’t. We paid for expedited shipping of our goods a week ago (which is supposed to arrive 4-7 days after pickup) and it still has not arrived. We were able to contact our driver and he said he won’t be in our city until Saturday, almost two weeks after the pickup of our items. This is truly unacceptable and I would not trust any of the five star reviews. I looked on the Better Business Bureau and the reviews were heinous. If our stuff ever arrives I’m extremely concerned it will be damaged and I doubt we’ll get our money back.

Absolutely horrible company! Moved from Indiana to Florida, price was $2800 until they held our home hostage for over 2 months, charged $7000! Had to file insurance claim, had police officers involved since their driver started to yell at my wife and I gave him friendly advice not to. Refused to move our belongings inside until the police showed up. I could go on but this company needs shut down immediately. They change their name and the manager or who ever answers the phone needs hung and beat in public!

Read the details and don’t sign the contract and till you are 100% sure and get competitive quotes. Was moving out of state and then was moving locally. They quoted me $6000 to move 1000 miles but with that changed they quoted me $2500 To move locally. They also charge my credit card $2000 from when I signed the contract and would not refund it. Too bad there isn’t a zero star score.

We relocated from Raleigh NC to Madison WI, this week - in January at that (crazy, i know! Lol). I initially did a search online and received a ton of calls and emails same day from different companies. I forwarded everyone to voicemail because it was overwhelming but gave me a chance to check out reviews. Kevin called me back the next day and he was so personable and friendly. Also the quote was half of a couple of others i received so i was sold. I got the quote and paid my early decision deposit. Everything went great but had a couple of snags/concerns. The dispatch group comes in extremely late and they called me to schedule delivery late in the day around 430/5p and leave a message for you to call Karen. Well i would call right back but Karen is gone and no one else can help. Fortunately Karen was very helpful in the mornings when i call back. Customer service team is great and always picks up but sometimes has no update or answer depending on the inquiry (ie dispatching). Anyway, pick up and delivery. I was seriously scared based on many reviews which is why i want to help by sharing one. My request was for one day but they came the next day which was scary as my move was timed and aligned with other things. The scheduled time was 8-11 but the movers didn’t arrive until 4p and when they arrived they were very lacksadasical like they didn’t have anything else to do. They did approach with additional costs for packaging and things that i assumed was covered in the quote or should have been discussed somewhere on the phone but it wasn’t too bad since i knew i had a lower estimate than most. They finally got done after 8p although they kept saying it would only take an hour and a half or two (upon arrival). So fast forward, we’re in Madison and awaiting feedback on delivery estimate. I assumed one thing based on initial quote but called customer svc and they were saying anywhere from 7-21 days. They did confirm it usually takes nowhere near the latter but i think it’s absurd to be so conflicting with key info like that. Fortunately when i called, Karen saved me again and was able to share that shockingly my stuff was already on the way so anyday but no one knew when and i would hear from the driver at least 24hrs in advance. I called two days in a row and couldn’t get an update and on the second day, i receive a call from the driver, while on the phone with customer svc, that he would be there in 2 hours.

5 STAR ⭐️ for American home relocation did a really good job moving my household goods from Atlanta to California, and they were considerably less expensive than any of the other bids I got from more well-known movers. The guys who packed up my furniture and all my stuff were very professional and worked fast. They obviously were very experienced and took pride in their work. And at the California end, the movers were exceptionally competent and careful. A bonus was dealing with Eli and Alex the person in the office who handles the paperwork and provides customer service. They was outstanding. I would gladly recommend American home relocation for anyone making a long distance move .

I moved from Indianapolis IN to Orange County CA. I had to leave my stuff in storage for 4 1/2 months because I was traveling before moving to CA. American Home Relocation and Alex, my contact person were woderful to do business with. The 2 movers arrived on time and took about 4 hours to pack up the house. My belongings were protected and packed in a professional manner. The workers were very polite and professional. They kept my stuff in storage in their terminal in Chicago and when I was ready for delivery I called customer service talk to Mishel and he arranged for delivery within 12 days of my request. All my items were returned to me and nothing was damaged. I would use American Home Relocation again (but I am hoping I don't have to move again any time soon). Thank you for a job well done!

I do not recommend this company to move you. we contractor with them to move us from Ohio To Fort Myers Florida. What a big mistake !! we where lied to right from the get go we where told a group of people would come out to the house and pack us and load. their group of people consisted of two very hard working people ,Three days late. sent a truck with other people stuff on it . could get all our stuff.had to come back next day late again. we had to rent a motel room as our bed was packed. our stuff went to a warehouse, where my tool boxes were dropped or broken in to 1000.s of dollars tools missing. find more stuff missing daily. should just have sold everything at least i would have got something for the tools. door of my tool boxes where missing or pried open. NOT A GOOD EXPERINCE ! stay away

From beginning to end this was the worst customer service i have dealt with to date. This moving company by far must be the worst anyone has ever experienced. Not only are they extremely unhelpful and unprofessional, they are also incompetent. After my recent experience with them i have been reaching out to the office for over a week. Every time i call asking to speak with a supervisor i get the run around. The reason for my call in the first place was to express my dissatisfaction with the company and their service. Initially i was a quoted a price and given a delivery date, which i see now was completely false . They had no intention of delivering my property when the said they would or even in the condition it was in when given to them. Never in my life had i anticipated sleeping in an empty apartment for a week not knowing when my property would arrive. When the driver finally decided to show up (4 hours later than they said they would on the actual day of delivery) he demanded that i pay him the balance before finishing the job. I then explained to him that i would be doing no such thing ! I let the gentleman know he would be paid after he brought my things inside so i could make sure everything was accountant for. No later had the words come out if my mouth did the driver begin to aggressively tell me that he would not do any work until i paid him. Obviously this is where the verbal disputes began , i let him know that he should reach out to his supervisor so we could work this out. He gave me a number to call where there was no one to answer in the other end of the line , when i questioned him he admitted he knew no one would answer , this wasting my time further. The man continues to request payment and i continued to decline. Me declining to make payment resulted in the driver trying to remove the property he did bring in from my apartment. When i stood in between him and my things he assaulted me by pushing me. Let me tell you what this whole fiasco resulted in. $1500 worth my property never arriving and $500 worth of damage to the property i did receive 6 days late. And now that i want to file a complaint there is no manger or supervisor to be found. If you want to move your things and ever see them again or if you prefer to be assaulted over your own property .... pick another moving company!

My reason for hiring American home relocation was their low estimate. The guy on the phone was so friendly and he countered every quote I got from elsewhere. I was very impressed with this helpfulness. The movers arrived on time and they were all very capable boys. They packed up my valuables properly and loaded them to the vans. My lifetime of memories was now in their hands. I was so glad to see the boys delivering all my precious on time and in great condition. I really am glad for the service I received. I highly recommend these guys.

DO NOT HIRE THEM. They are a fraud. Will take your stuff and double the charges and then hold onto your things until you pay everything they want and no one would even answer what the overages are for. It's almost like blackmail, pay or we keep your stuff

They worked hard to finish my move in less than the quoted amount and were careful but very efficient with my belongings. AND THE DRIVER TOLD US THAT PETER HAD BEEN "GIVING DECEPTIVE" QUOTES ALL WEEK. I AM NOW ON A BLOCK LIST. NO ONE WOULD ANSWER MY PHONE CALLS OR REFUND ME MY DEPOSIT WHEN I CALLED. I THEN CALLED FROM ANOTHER NUMBER THEY ANSWERED, UPON DISCOVERING THAT IT WAS ME, THEY HUNG UP IN MY FACE. I REPEAT, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN HONEST REPUTABLE COMPANY, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT AND YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR ITEMS UNTIL THE CHANGED PRICE IS PAID IN FULL. THAT'S WHEN THEY WILL MENTION THAT THEY OFFER FREE 30 DAY STORAGE.

Completely Insane Get a call mid way through the move saying it will be an Additional $900 ! Can't get hold of my Salesman by E-mail or phone! Not 1 call back after 9 calls to the office about a delivery time or Date!! Absolutely Insane! Not the way to do Business! And now after Department of Transportation and Attorney General got involved finally delivered my stuff at overly inflated price minus my 2 Big Screen TV's they stole!!! WARNING STAY AWAY !!!!!!!
