The move went very well. The estimator was early. The movers (Dillon and Cole) worked tirelessly and were very punctual. They were extremely careful with loading and unloading all of my items. I moved 600 miles from a house into a storage unit and watched everything come off the truck. I did not see one damaged item. The only hang-up was that my credit card was charged the full amount before the movers had even come. The charge was reversed and I paid with a certified cashiers check when the movers arrived at the final destination. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone. No problems whatsoever. A+

The movers that came to move my belongings did an excellent job. I"m not sure what happened after that. When I unpacked my things, several items were broken - dishes, a lamp, my bed... I was told that what ever was disassembled would be assembled upon delivery. One of my beds was not put together correctly. Screws to the slats were missing, and the slat were just placed in the bed frame, causing the frame to be broken. I am extremely disappointed as this is the first time I've hired professional movers and had things broken. I think the local "mom and pops" movers do a better job at caring for your belongings.

Cybill Hunt

Great price, but scratched almost every nice piece of furniture I own, and also damaged the floors and walls in the process. Didn't put my beds together fully and one fell apart.

I moved from Douglasville, GA to Brentwood, CA. which went very good. The movers were careful to wrap furniture and cushion it with blankets. They did not damage anything and was timely on the delivery. Mr. Harris was professional and very meticulous about how each piece was packed. My only issue is that the sales rep. Peter was off about 2000 lbs. according to the driver, which ended up costing me $700.00 more than quoted. I had expensive artwork that I paid to have to have crated Allied facilitated which went well on both ends when they had the company on the other end to uncrate. There price is not cheap but you get what you pay for and no surprise on the back end.

Coleman recently helped me move from Marietta, GA to Louisville, KY. The experience was a most pleasant one for me. They picked up my belongings on time and notified me of when delivery would take place. They handled my belongings carefully; nothing was damaged or missing. Additionally, when a change was needed in my delivery location, they were prompt to make the adjustment and carry it out. Everyone I spoke with was courteous and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone.

My experience with Coleman/ American was positive from beginning to end. Their price was competitive, all appointments were on time and our move from Atlanta to Santa Fe was as promised and things arrived with no damage

I contracted with Coleman American Moving Services in Fairburn, GA to move from Georgia to Texas. I have a Polaris Ranger that was supposed to moved with the other household items. The Driver first stated it was not on his paperwork to move the Ranger then he stated he would have to get someone out to the house to figure out what to do. That was late in the afternoon and we were heading to Texas that day. I wound up moving the Polaris myself rather than wait for Coleman to correct their mistake. Then came the real issue. After multiple e-mails and call, they finally emailed me saying they would not refund the $943.00. They stated my load was heavier than expected. Is that my issue? Bottom line, don't use these guys. They are less than reputable. Their customer service is poor. What ever happened to ethical companies?

Everything was perfect. Coleman American Moving Services maintained an excellent level of customer service throughout the entire process. In fact I do not believe it could have been orchestrated better. From the gentleman I spoke with to get a quote to the gentlemen who delivered my items. The Move Coordinator was easy to communicate with and always very nice. Not only was the pick up quick, easy and efficient. Boubar & Clint were so patient and through packing my items for the long cross country trip. Everything arrived in the same condition as when it was picked up. Ruben and Eric were so kind, so considerate and so helpful. This especially as they had to unload in the pouring rain. The care they took to guard my personal items from the rain was outstanding. They never complained or stopped work. They were wonderful. Thank you so much for taking care of me during this process and especially my personal items. I am so happy that I was recommended to your company and will highly recommend your company to others. Thank you again for your kindness and the care taken to assure a very positive outcome.

Coleman was one of three companies that provided us with a quote for our move from Georgia to Texas. Based on previous experience from family members they were the company that we preferred. All of their employees (Bill Harrison, Nikki Farmer, Josh to name a few) offered nothing but superior customer service and quick response when we had questions. All of our furniture and boxes were numbered and labeled so when delivery time came it was easy for them to distribute. The employees that were at the house and those that were talking to us over the house were very helpful and professional. I highly recommend this company with a move which can be a stressful time. They make it very easy and stress free.

Terrible! The movers were late, the sales person grossly underestimated my shipment weight which caused a large increase in price (9k lbs estimate, 14k lbs actual), this led to not being able to fit all our stuff on the truck (the overflow arrived a week after everything else), they damaged the house we left, and upon arrival found several broken items and nearly everything covered in filth. AND the process to get property damage repaired is beyond explanation. 3 weeks had past before I finally just paid out of my own pocket to have the wall in the house fixed. They offered no reimbursement and through all of this I was never once contacted by a manager even though I was told the manager was notified of the situation. Nothing the sales rep told me was going to happen did. It was all false promises. I even paid for the premium insurance and that was a huge waste. Of all the military moves I have done, this was the worst experience I have ever had moving. This company DOES NOT care about their clients. To all military, federal employees, and everyone else who are moving interstate, avoid this company at all costs.

Great service! Next time I move it will be with Coleman!

Janet Callahan

Great movers, Estimate was accurate. The packers did an awesome job. The move itself was perfect; the crew were professional and very careful so all our possessions arrived without a scratch. The crew placed all our furniture where we wanted and were good natured when I changed my mind. I would highly recommend Coleman American

They did come, but ended up being 5hrs later than planned. The movers were friendly and helpful. Waiting to see if my possessions arrive in one piece.

We have moved over 20 times and this move without a doubt was the best we have ever had. Our driver Paul was top notch in every way.

Nick Sherman

This was moving the way it should be. Coleman American moved me from Atlanta, GA to Dallas, TX. They contacted me before every milestone, letting me know what would be happening when and they showed up on time, every time. I appreciated the fact that the same crew did the packing that did the loading and unloading. They were a great group of guys. Very friendly and very professional. They took great care with my property and they were very thorough. I'd highly recommend them. I've moved a lot and this was by far my smoothest move.

Cliff did a great job on the estimate, the packing crew were kind and neat. Clevland our driver was on time and showed concern for our property.

DO NOT USE COLEMAN AMERICAN MOVING SERVICES!! Coleman American Moving Services handled my move from Atlanta to California. This is my 5th cross-country move with a professional moving service (packing, moving, storage, delivery). The quote for service from the Coleman team was constantly being adjusted and their service commitments were shown to be lies (delivery times, storage locations, etc.). The packing team that came to my house was supposed to pack my belongings in 2 days but instead took only 1 day and caused a catastrophic amount of damage to my furniture and belongings. Some damage occurred in my home during loading, other damage occurred in their "state of the art furniture warehouse" where boxes were somehow water damaged and over 80% crushed. I only received 1 piece of furniture that was not damaged. Many heirloom pieces were destroyed. The Allied team that picked up from the Coleman team to deliver it to California was wonderful but DO NOT USE COLEMAN AMERICAN MOVING SERVICES!!!

We used Coleman for our move from NW Georgia to S Florida. From the time Cliff gave me an estimate, through the updates from Nikki and the loading and unloading with Zoe, this team did a great job!! We would recommend them!

Allied came to us through word-of-mouth and I heard that they wrapped your belongings and took great care of your things.... They must not of liked us very much they did over $2000 worth of damage. And gave us $456 back. The gentleman that deliver to our belongings graciously Tate most of the broken things to the thing it broke off of. Our son's Legos were all over the floor of the truck along with a wreath of glass ornaments broken into tiny pieces all over the truck. Idole bad that my daughter received as a Christmas gift from Santa was broken and take together but it was never put in a box or racket. Multiple tables were broken because they were not wrapped. Apparently some of my daughters clothes were all over the storage room floor got some kind a grease on them they had to be thrown out because they could not be cleaned. But the driver put them in a box for us apparently at the storage facility. And maybe that's the problem that we had to have our things stored for 11 days because we were in transition from moving from one state to the other. So my suggestion is do not use Allied if you must use Ally do not buy their insurance because they do not honor it completely. And if you must use allied to do not use them to store your stuff have it brought from point a to point B on that day. But our suggestion ....don't use them!!!

They did a great Jon moving me across the country. I couldn’t be happier.

Our experience with Coleman moving was perfect from start to finish. Patti Coleman was our original contact and she took care of every single detail, including making an extra trip to bring us a few extra boxes that we asked for. The two packers that came were fantastic! They took such special care of our things and we had a nice exchange with them the whole time they were in our home. Our driver, Owen, phoned us 2 or 3 days prior to loading the truck and he could not have been more pleasant. We were alittle anxious about when he would arrive at our new place, since we were moving from Atlanta to Baltimore! He assured us that he would be there when it was convenient for us and he was right on time - even alittle early. The entire process was such a pleasure and we really appreciated everyone's efforts. A bunch of really nice folks!

I shopped around with several popular moving companies. None of them could beat the price that Coleman American gave me. The price they give is not a quote, it is a rock solid price. That makes a big difference because other moving companies give you a price, and make sure to tell you that the price may be higher if they have unforeseen difficulties with your move. They also send a person to your residence quickly to give you the price. I was very happy with Larry, the representative that came to my residence. I also had some unforeseen delays in getting my new residence in the city I was moving to. Coleman was willing to work with me on the new delivery date. This was significant considering they had already dispatched the truck to my new residence. They never attempted to add charges for this, which I thought was very professional and generous. The moving people were very professional and easy to work with. They handled my belongings like they were their own. I was also thankful that the same driver that picked up my belongings, was the one that delivered them to my new address. I also give a thumbs up to Vanessa, my Coleman American scheduling representative. She helped me out greatly when my move in date changed at the last minute. I highly recommend this company for your moving needs. They truly care about their customers and work hard to make sure you are completely satisfied every step of the way.

The best decision ever! Coleman American-Allied services did everything and worth every penny. I moved from Atlanta to Cincinnati and the quote matched the final price, the packers were on-time and careful with all my possessions, the truck was loaded on the day promised and delivery was effortless. All the staff could not be nicer to work with from the estimator, to the packers, Marie on the phone to keep everything on schedule, the loaders and delivery guys-thoughtful, professional and nice people to work with! If I move again I know who to call.

Would give 0/5 if I could. Did not pack or protect my highest value item (a painting), which I specifically pointed out to the movers multiple times. It of course broke. They shattered the frame and glass. They had me pay extra for wardrobe boxes so my hanging clothes (suits, dress shirts etc.) could be packed with care. Then they just smashed all my clothes down in the boxes anyway. It looks like a five year old packed my things. Stay away

O time For both pickup and delivery. Very professional on both and all the employees were very courteous, polite, great attitudes and could not have been any more accommodating. Very very pleased with the service!!

I just moved from Atlanta to Las Vegas 3 weeks ago (Jan 2017) and I'm very happy with my move experience with the Coleman Allied team in Atlanta. Specifically, Peter Antoniades was the "sales person" I booked with and he was good at explaining everything and answering my questions. He was very prompt about returning my calls and getting the answers I needed. Waynesa, my Move Coordinator, was also really responsive and helpful. But I really have to give extra points to my driver, Thomas Campbell, and his team, Carlos and Junior. They were AWESOME! Super polite, efficient, helpful, respectful of my things. I can't say enough good things about that team. I'm 80% unpacked and so far I haven't found anything broken/damaged (fingers crossed on the remainder). They really made this stressful move so much easier. Also, the last minute packing team that was called in did a good job too. I would highly recommend all of the above for a long distance move.

The sales rep that booked my move promised a big truck and that my items would be wrapped in protective coverings. In actuality, the truck they brought was too small and the way they loaded it damaged most of my furniture. The mover crew were nice guys, but the crew leader was unkind and yelled at the moving crew (who was working hard) and at me and made them force my belongings into the top small truck. I would advise not using this company.

Chris Flores

BUYER BEWARE! This has been literally the most incompetent moving service I have ever used. My belongings were delayed over a week and nobody in the office took the initiative to find out when my stuff would be arriving. In the end I had to get the number of the driver and keep in contact with him to find out when my belongings were actually going to arrive. I spoke with a Waynesa in the office and repeatedly asked to speak to a manager about the situation and was never given a manager name or information. I later had to go back to the agent who sold me their services to get contact information for someone to speak to. Upon receiving my belongings I had items hapharzardly packaged that were broken upon receiving. I also was missing at least 1 box of items and received items that weren't even mine. Upon trying to reach a manager again I was sent in circles through Allied and Coleman to finally reach Brian or Cliff who are the managers for this location I assume. I was told to just throw the other persons stuff away? Ok, that is a bit unsettling. I was also told that I would receive a call back from the manager about my missing items and some other questions I had about the recovery process for my lost/broken items. I never received a call back from either manager and had to call them again and was still really not given an answer to my question. The point being to this whole situation, You'd be better off moving yourself than using the services of this company. They are very unprofessional and unhelpful.

We moved from Atlanta to Columbus, OH and each step in our moving process went as smooth as we could have asked for. All team members of Coleman American that we worked with from our estimator Pete, to our move coordinator Nikki, and even to our driver Boubacar, displayed excellent customer service and treated all our belongings with care and respect. This was our first experience enlisting the services of a moving company and it would be tough to imagine moving ourselves or with anyone else in the future.

DO NOT USE COLEMAN AMERICAN MOVING SERVICES - VERY DETAILED REASONS BELOW. We hired movers and packers for a move from Atlanta, GA to Raleigh, NC beginning. The packing and moving was very stressful and we hired “professionals” to minimize stress. We have two young children so minimizing stress was our ultimate goal. David Smith was very professional the entire time and made great promises, but then I felt like the execution of everything was completely the opposite of what we were told, which seemed misleading. I have spoke to people at Coleman and they basically told me that they provided a service and there was nothing they could do. Issues with Packing and Moving - 2 of the the 3 packers told us it was their first day. They were not prepared. They didn’t have anything to write on the boxes with. We provided crayons which they kept accidentally packing. They eventually stopped writing on boxes. - One of the guys packing kept commenting on how he was hungover from drinking too much the night before. - I asked several times about them packing the unfinished basement and our condo and they said that would be handled the next day. - The movers/packers were very unprofessional and smelled of smoke - I mentioned I was going to be getting rid of a table and one of the packers asked if he could have it, which I was fine with. But then they kept asking about items in a manner of asking if they could have them. This was very unprofessional. Packing/Loading April 28 - The movers had to pack all of the unfinished basement Saturday and were complaining the entire time about how poorly the packing was done the day before. - Since the basement was not packed, the movers seemed to rush through the basement and I had to remind them several times to shrink wrap items. - When we arrived at the condo for them to pack and move it, they said they couldn’t do it Saturday because they didn't have enough time or supplies. - So now we had to add another packing day. I had to travel back to Atlanta on Sunday morning to help them finish the job when everything was supposed to be completed on Saturday. - The movers/packers were very unprofessional, smelled of smoke and one even smelled strongly of weed. Packing/Loading April 29 - Additional packing day not anticipated. We had to make a trip back to - - - At the condo, nothing was plastic wrapped, only blankets and they basically just threw items into boxes. Packing overall - The packing of items was extremely poor. Here are a few examples: - They packed glass items with kids toys - A lot of times they just dumped drawers into boxes making a complete mess - cleaning supplies with towels and kitchen items - mixed bathroom and kitchen items - didn't label a lot of boxes, - threw all of our shoes into a box causing heels on women’s shoes to scratch dress shoes Unloading in Raleigh - Over the 3 days of packing, they used different sticker colors so after I spent hours using the BINGO sheet, it was basically useless. All I was told was "don't worry, you should have everything". - In Raleigh, the movers got into a labor dispute over money with the driver on the site to the point where they were screaming and were threatening to walk off the job. - This was extremely stressful, unprofessional, and actually put my wife into tears. - Throughout the entire unloading process, the movers kept commenting on how poorly everything was packed and labeled.

No one will call you back once your move is complete. Ruined a desk and took the time to blanket alot of furniture but, wouldn't blanket an upright freezer that got scratched, dented and the metal shelves where wrapped up inside and bounced around and broke the plastic bins in the bottom. Real amateurs. Beware. They get your money, destroy your stuff and tell you to just "put in a claim for it". One of the guys that showed up to move me out reeked of pot. Like he just burned one before he got there. And did I mention, no one followed up with you nor asks you if everything was ok. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for a moving company!!!

Sean Garrison

The movers were very professional. We even had our stuff 2 days earlier than expected.

Karen Lieb

I recently moved from Jacksonville, FL to ATL and had a most pleasant experience by Allied. They arrived on time, handled all of my furniture and boxed items very gently. The crew was respectful and professional. I recommend Colemand American Allied very highly.....you won't be disappointed!

Ken Simpson

We have no furniture in our house. We originally booked with this company because the salesman did a great job and seemed honest. . . . Well he quit and we got Cliff Yeager. I ask how much notice they need ahead of our desired move date to get us in on time and Cliff says 10 days. No prob, two and a half weeks out I tell him I want to move in to the new house on our close date of 6/23. He says they don't like to move on same day as closing so we moved it up a day. Should be all set, right? Nope I get a 4 day window. Cliff says I'll do what I can to help but that's industry standard. He says they'll give me a date from Fairburn when they load up on 6/20. I called allied call center and got a very helpful person who said she would do some research and call back. She did and long story short the Texas Allied booked me for delivery on the 23rd or 24th at the latest. In the meantime Cliff was supposed to have filed a claim for the damages his crew did to my house. After two weeks I called to check on it only to find no claim was filed. I asked Cliff about it and he said he'd check on it and get back to me. That was two weeks ago with no response from him. Today, the 22nd, I called the Texas Allied to see what time my stuff will be delivered. The guy in TX said it should be here so he checked and called me back. Coleman apparently decide to pull the shipment and try to deliver it themselves. . . On the 26th!! . . .And he had to call to find out he wasn't getting the shipment anymore bc Coleman Moving in GA failed to tell him! I called our move coordinator Paula who said Cliff never told her we needed the 23rd. Folks this move is a corporate relocation just under 20k, and they could care less. I've spent the afternoon calling ppl and after a dozen calls and several messages I'm still waiting for a call back to see if anything can be done at this point. The customer service here doesn't exist. Damaged furniture, unreturned calls and empty promises are their specialty. If that's what you're looking for you'll find exactly that with Coleman American in Fairburn, GA!

Jodi Crawford

Significant damage. Pictures wrapped in paper instead of boxed. Two broken bed frames, damage to new hardwoods, the list goes on. Crews VERY short staffed, so we worked with them - despite paying for full pack and move. While everyone was nice and polite (the reason for two stars) the outcome is very disappointing.

Valerie Gibbons

Coleman was great! The packing people showed up when they were supposed to and packed everything better than I did on previous moves! The next morning the moving crew came and the driver called to let me know he was on his way. Everything went as planned. They were very careful with my stuff and were very polite with my constant questions! They arrived at my move destination when they said they would, and got the truck unloaded faster than I thought they would. They made sure everything went into the correct room, including a patio set that I wanted way down on the dock! I would definitely use Coleman again!

jason egner

We had a great move with Allied Coleman. Our sales rep overestimated our packing needs which was a good thing as it gave us a "worst case" estimate. Everyone from sales to the move consultant to the driver of the moving truck was in constant contact with us the whole time. Just one thing to keep in mind when moving with this company: remember that overestimate I mentioned earlier? You should keep track of everything that is packed and moved and contact AC if you didn't use something that was in the estimate. Don't expect them to do it for you...they're in business to make money after all! When we notified them of services we didn't use after our move, they refunded the overpayment relatively quickly given that it was the holidays.

Philippa Alexander

Coleman did a great job moving us across the country. They were professional and packed items neatly and carefully. All their staff were great, right from the planning phase, doing in the in-home inventory to the delivery. We would highly recommend them.

Micheal Spann

I moved on very short notice from Dothan, Al to Conyers, Georgia. They were able to accommodate me and my time frame. And even though there was a slight mix-up with the delivery time everything went smoothly! I would use them again if I was planning a long distance move.

Will Chis

Got unloaded quickly.

Melanie Joseph

Our driver, Joey, was absolutely the best. He was very punctual with pickup and delivery. When he first arrived, he evaluated our home and gave me the loading plan. He kept me informed throughout the day. The team worked hard and finished loading in a reasonable amount of time. The entire moving process went very smoothly!

Darleen Graham

From Peter and Brandy on the sales and planning side to the four gentlemen who did the moving, we could not be happier. I felt like every one of our items was handled with the utmost care. We were not on the delivery end, and our son handled that job. He said it was exactly the same on delivery. If we ever move again, we will certainly use you. Thank you Frank and Darleen Graham

Joseph Lewis

We used Coleman / Allied to move from the Atlanta GA area, to a small town in LA. The Coleman / Allied team did a superb job, and we could not be happier with them. Everything was clearly explained by the salesman when the contract was written, and the move went exactly as it was supposed to, with no unpleasant surprises or "gotcha's" at any point. The move was performed for the quoted amount, well within the specified time frame. And, since we'd used the "not to exceed" option, we even got a refund of about three hundred dollars because our stuff weighed less than the conservative estimate the salesman came up with (the refund was credited to our Visa card the very next day after our goods were delivered) The driver and the crews that helped him load/unload the truck were punctual, pleasant, efficient, and extremely competent. Nothing was lost, broken or damaged in transit, and there wasn't a single nick put on the walls of either the move-from or move-to residences. I would unequivocally recommend Coleman / Allied to anyone who wants a trouble free move.
