Great place for storage! Photos are stock, no silver platters, sorry. They used to have the whole crew... This is also moving & storage for commercial & residential. Prices are reasonable if you hate moving. But they're old school... paper everything.

We had a decent experience with Atlantic Movers. Tracy worked great with us and met all of our needs. However, the movers were about 2-3 hours late to the apartment to start packing items, which was irritating since we had someone waiting to meet them there outside the apartment. Later we found out, from the maids that we hired to go and clean the apartment one last time, that the movers had left a few items behind in the apartment. That is unacceptable. Now I have to tell the home owner, that I arranged the movers for, that he will not be able to get his vacuum and board games back since nobody will be traveling 9 hours back to retrieve those items. Luckily it wasn't something more valuable.

We moved from the north Dallas, TX area, to Westfield, Indiana. My one and only experience with Atlantic Relocation Systems has been 100% good. From the estimate, to the move, and to the delivery. We had Richard and Kristen move us, they really were magnificent. They packed on day one, loaded on day two, and delivered well within their delivery window. As far as we can tell, everything has arrived, with no damage (though still unpacking some boxes)! I do recommend them - with an extra recommendation for Richard and Kristen.

First Class Service. The crew showed-up a few minutes earlier, well dressed for the move, clean and professional. They did a thorough walk-through before touching any thing or assuming anything. A lot of care was taken for all our items, every item was shrinkwrapped or bundled with heavy cloth, they even used pads around the doors to avoid nicks and bump marks. They wouldn't let my spouse or I lift a thing. We just provided guidance for them and they took it with a smile. They had us loaded and unloaded at the new house in the estimated time. They even helped us unwrap things and set-up the beds. I have moved about a dozen times in the U.S., mostly due to military service...but this was the most efficient and professional company that I have ever hired. I had the dispatcher's phone number, the coordinator's cell phone number, and the estimator's cell phone number during the entire move, in case we had questions or problems; and we moved Easter Weekend!!--try THAT from some of the other local "customer first" company claims. I would recommend Atlantic Relocation Services without hesitation and will call them again if I move. They have "raised-the-bar" for standards in the moving business. The reviews that I read about them vs other companies before I hired them were "spot-on" and I'm glad I made my decision with them. Keep up the good work ARS.

I needed to move across town from a rather large to home to a new home. I had a lot of antiques I had inherited from my family and was afraid something would get damaged. The movers arrived on time, they walked through my home and made a decision how to load the truck and from that moment on I felt like my furniture was in great hands. Everything arrived in the new home without a scratch. I will definiately use Atlantic Relocation again. KK

The team was really careful with our household items. They clearly described the process and completed ahead of schedule. I was very happy with our Indianapolis to Arlington, VA move.

Indianapolis Location....... Worst ever. They were contracted to pick up boxes after I unpacked them but when they called, they said it would be 10 days later.......when I said "10 days is unexceptable" the lady felt that I was rude and said she would see what she could do and call me back. She said I needed to keep 40 boxes full of paper packing products and the 50 cut flat boxes dry. When I told her that was impossible because I had nowhere to put them and in the next 10 days it would probably rain, she said she would call me back. When she hung up the phone, she made the determination that not only was she not calling back, that they were never going to pick up the boxes. I found this part out from the company that contracted them to pick up the boxes and ended up doing 40 trips in my Subaru to get rid of the them. If she thinks "10 days is unexceptable" is rude, WHAT IS NOT CALLING BACK AND CANCELLING A CONTRACT WITHOUT NOTIFING ME? Might I add that according to GOOGLE MAPS, they were less than 5 minutes away.

Don't do it..... They pull you in with a low estimate in moving cost. Once the truck arrives and everything is loaded, you find that the cost has doubled. They get you because unless you have time to find another moving company and not bothered by "unloading" everything that was just loaded, you're stuck with paying the additional costs. If you do decide to use this moving company, be sure to purchase the extra insurance. The insurance reimbursement that comes with the move is .40cents per pound of the weight of whatever the damaged/lost item is. The value of the item has no bearing of the reimbursement. I believe the damage is from the way they coordinate the move. They movers come to your home in a small truck load your items and unload them at a warehouse and reload before the move. They lost one piece of furniture and damaged another. If the items remained on the original truck and not removed, I believe we would have had no problems. The value of our items at costs when purchased was ~$470.00. The reimbursement is $49.50. Really...... like I said,, don't do it if you care about your possessions.

A move is a very stressful situation, and with all the horror stories one reads in the reviews, every little thing seems to be magnified. Atlantic Relocation management however followed up on the issues when we made them known to make our move go as smoothly as possible. One of our biggest concerns was timing, and exactly when our belongings would be delivered. They were able to meet our schedule, and kept us informed, and made all appointments and the delivery when we needed it. Some minor damage to a bookcase and to a clothes rack has been discovered, other items have yet to be unpacked. There was much overuse of packing paper, this could have been done more efficiently and added extra weight to the load. We were never told what the actual weight of our load was. There was some confusion about what the sales representative told us and what actually occurred, but bottom line was that we have successfully relocated from Georgia to Florida. We had some very hard working individuals on both the packing end and the unpacking end. Bottom line is, I would recommend Atlantic Relocation for your move.

ARS was able to relocate my three person family from New England to Atlanta, but it was a disaster. Too small of a crew (2 with only one that actually worked), too small of a truck (they left 20% of our belongings behind.. in litigation now), too long of a pack (6 days.. 2 days past our closing... yeah the buyers loved that!) and too unprofessional in general (had to help them negotiate large items with my own equipment, and the packing was horrendous and inefficient). Never again, Atlantic. We would have been way better off with Paul Arpin.

Leah Silverthorn

Truly terrible customer service. Broke lots of items, mis-quoted us. Still unpacking broken items from boxes. Packed our art in paper (the driver repacked them since he takes over liability), shoved clothes into wardrobe boxes instead of hanging them as the boxes are designed. Tried to get us to pay ahead because they last minute scheduled our delivery on a Saturday (after a nightmare of a packing, boxing experience and without calling to give us a delivery date) on a contract that is payable on delivery and the office threatened to "turn the truck around" if I didn't pay ahead. Even the truck driver (who is independent) said they were jerks. Go with someone else. Their hard sell and "discount" is much less than the value of the things we lost.

We have had our items stored with this company over the past 5 years. We have accessed items twice over this time and found our belongings in great shape still. They were organized, helpful, and efficient. I have never seen harder working movers then they day they initially packed us up and had everything ready for us to sort at their warehouse when we came in this last time. I had two people with me the entire time to lift boxes and repack items as I needed. They made the process very quick. They are currently shipping some items overseas for us so hopefully that goes as smoothly as everything else has.

Atlantic Relocation Systems was EXCELLENT in their professionalism! They were ON TIME and WITHIN BUDGET! I have recommended them to several friends who had the same stellar experience. Andy Orlin organized the crew for our moves and we could not be happier! Thanks Andy and Atlantic Relocation!!!

By far the worst movers. Not only did they damage items, but then denied a claim. Atlantic Relocation was contracted by my employer to move my family possessions from North Carolina to Virginia. Atlantic's employees showed up one day behind schedule. They were scheduled to show up on a Wednesday, pack on Wednesday and Thursday, load the furniture on Friday, and move us to a storage unit on Saturday. Since they did not show up until Thursday, they only left themselves one day to pack our household items. They maintained the rest of the schedule by delivering our goods on Saturday to the storage unit. Because of an unusual law in Virginia, Atlantic Relocation was not contracted to move our possessions from the storage unit to our new house. I contracted a local moving company to move our items from the storage unit to the new house. As they started to pull our items out of the storage unit, the movers and myself noticed that several items that were damaged. The movers indicated that our possessions were improperly stacked inside of the storage unit. One example would be that Atlantic Relocations employees put a plasma screen TV (unboxed)on the top of a stack of boxes that were 8 ft in the air. The local movers (which have an outstanding reputation) documented each damaged item as it came out of the storage unit. Each damaged item then had pictures taken of the damage. After we completely unpacked our household items, I contacted my corporate office to inform them of the poor service. I sent my corporate office a detailed list of the damaged items as well as the pictures we took of the damage. My corporate office then contacted Gregory Hermance to discuss the compliant, and Gregory called me to go over the details of my compliant. I sent Gregory Hermance copies of the pictures. He then put me in contact with Melissa Fox. Melissa Fox sent me a claim form in which we filled out and sent back to Atlantic Relocation. I sent my claim for in on Monday, March 18th 2013. I was sent a claim denial email the following day Tuesday, March 19th 2013. Below is the email from Melissa Fox explaining the reason for the denial: Good afternoon Alan, I received a copy of the claim form this morning and forward this to our Claim Dept at our corporate office. Unfortunately the claim has been denied due to the items were delivered to a mini storage facility. Our Claims Dept pulled the BINGO sheet from Atlas to see if any items were noted as damaged upon going into the storage facility and nothing is noted. Because mini storage’s are not considered to be a secured facility and nothing was documented at the time the items were delivered, we would not be able to honor any portion of the submitted claim. I understand that a separate local company moved the items from the mini storage to your current home. I see that photo’s were sent - some from what appear to be outside the mini storage and some from the inside of the new residence. Any coverage from Atlas Van Lines/Atlantic Relocation Systems ended once the goods were delivered into the mini storage. I know this is a less than favorable conclusion to the claim that was submitted – but we have nothing to substantiate where the damage occurred. Please let me know if there are any questions. Kind regards, Melissa Fox It is my goal to achieve the highest rating on all customer surveys. If at any time during your relocation, you are not 100% satisfied with our services, please inform me immediately so that the issue can be resolved. Melissa Fox and Atlantic Relocation are not standing by their own self imposed "100% satisfaction" guarantee. She did absolutely nothing to help me "resolve" my problem.

Overall, I am very happy with the service I received from my moving team. My move coordinator communicated well, always returning my calls. Very helpful in explaining the process. The day of loading, their main driver called in sick, Last Minute. So only 2 men showed up to do the packing and loading. They took their time and packed my items very carefully. However, this loading lasted for 7hours!! This is my only complaint. Why didn't the company dispatch another driver/worker so I wouldn't have to be standing up for hours as most of my big pieces were packed into the truck.

From the first point of contact Atlantic was on the ball. Tracy came out and was extremely professional, knowledgeable and was truly concerned with the safety of our belongings - she was giving us tips as we walked the house on how to pack stuff to prevent damage etc and I really appreciated this. Moreover, the crew showed up on time the day of the move, they were EXTREMELY professional, respectful and on top of it were a good fun bunch of guys to work with...I have to say that I was incredibly impressed with the crew - literally not a single item was damaged or broken during the move...impressive if you ask me. It is important to note that the guys were willing to go the extra mile to get us into our house as quickly as possible. They were literally running in and out of the houses to load/unload. Beyond that, my wife and I have moved at least 11 times in the past 9 years and this is by far the best service that we have ever received from any moving crew. If we asked for something to be moved in a different position, etc, the guys did not make us feel like we were inconveniencing them and actually kept on asking us if they could adjust the position/location of anything for us before they left...truly sensational. Most go by nowadays doing the minimum possible and reluctantly do what is necessary...kudos to this crew for the work ethic that they displayed. They even told me to stop helping moving stuff as they were the ones getting paid to do the work - haven't heard that in a while! Unfortunately, I can't sit still. Overall, I just want to thank everybody involved as it could not have gone any better. I am extremely pleased with the decision that I made and would recommend the driver and crew to anyone.

Awful, don’t do business w/this company. They’ll tell you everything’s protected against damages yet many items will show up damaged and they’ll come up with every excuse to avoid correcting/reimbursement. Very bad service. Wish I had never used this company.

These were the worst movers ever. They never arrived before noon claiming they couldn't get into the lot until a certain time. They also spent most of their time smoking instead of doing there job. It took them 4 days to pack a 1700 sp foot apartment and nothing was packed correctly. Several items were damaged and we never heard anything from the company admitting fault. And since this was a government move we were screwed. If you need movers stay away from this company. They will break half your stuff and you will have items missing and they won't care.

I had the most unpleasant experience in speaking with Tina Smith. She was extremely rude and unhelpful on the phone, it was as though I was bothering her at her own job. It was such a poor first impression I told her not to worry about even scheduling a moving consultation because the thought of having to work with her during an already stressful time was far from pleasant. She promptly hung up on me, which spared me from any further angst I suppose. I would forewarn anyone who is even thinking about using this company to take your business to a company that actually wants to help you. It is almost comical that the footer at her email promises 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

Our move was international from Atlanta, Ga to Belize, Central America. Andy...the representative who came and assessed everything we wanted to ship told us it would be $12,500-. He encouraged us to pack our personal things and said the movers would pack the rest. The movers came a little late which wasn't that big of a deal. At 2PM they received a call from their boss that they had to leave our job and go do someone else's. Our house was 1/10th packed when they left. The next day they showed up 2 hours late and by 11PM we were finally seeing our possessions being loaded into the truck. To be honest the crew was very nice, helpful and careful. They packed the truck carefully so that they could fit all of our stuff in it. Once they had loaded everything they took it to their warehouse. We had been told they'd hold the container of our possessions until the 25th of July at their warehouse so that we could fly to Belize and make sure the house was ready.(we were building it). Then we got the email from the broker. The bill was over $19,000 plus. We were in shock. We had no idea where that number came from. Bottom line was they had us over a barrel since they had everything that we owned. So we went ahead and paid it. Two weeks prior to the date we had been told, the container left the Miami port and got to Belize. The house wasn't finished. They told us we had 10 days to get it out of the port. If there any longer it was $100. per day. On top of that the representative who gave us the quote suddenly tells us..some of the stuff hadn't made it into the container. We were furious. I had asked them over and over again if it would all fit and been told they could get it all in. The stuff they left out were very expensive items. Why they didn't call us and explain the situation is ubsurd. We would have told them which things to discard and which were important to us. But no they didn't do that. That was too intelligent to do. On top of all of that the broker in Belize charged us a little over $1000- for getting it to through customs and to the unfinished house. Because it wasn't finished, their job was simply to unload our stuff. It wasn't their fault they couldn't unpack or rebuild everything that had been broken down in order to move it .But had the container left at the correct time..they would have been able to do the entire job. Now we're stuck hiring people to help us rebuild our furniture, remove the debris etc. Yesterday we got an email from our Atlanta broker. He now is claiming we owe him another $3k for shipping the overflow of our stuff. Keep in mind we've already paid over $20,000. and he wants more to cover their mistake of not checking with us on what stuff wasn't important to ship. We'll leave those who read this to access whether they want to experience what we have. I assure you...WE'D NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

So much damage and breakage and missing items!! They were "checking the warehouse for a missing 5x8 decorative rug" and calling the next day... that was on the 28th, still waiting for that phone call! Where is my 27 in MAC computer?? We have thousands of dollars worth of damage and all they can say is make a claim!!! You call yourselves professionals.. who packs metal tv brackets with a ceramic lamp shade to only have the lamp shade shattered?? Who packs Clorox wipes upside down and opened in a box of spices??? My sons basketball goal is broken, mangled by your guys! The list goes on and on! I have lots and lots of pictures of the incompetence! Don't use them! They have zero respect for your belongings!!

I would highly recommend using Atlantic Relocation Systems for any moving or relocation needs. From the very beginning when I was first soliciting moving companies to the day they delivered the household goods, ARS was the most thorough, knowledgeable, and cordial group to work with on my company's employee relocation. I was asked by my supervisor to assist in finding a mover that would relocate a recently promoted employee from Indianapolis to Phoenix. Because of the long trek and cost involved, it was crucial that I select a company that was not only experienced in handling cross country moves with little-to-no damage to property but also cost effective. Melissa Craig was my first encounter and she answered all my questions with complete transparency and courtesy. I "interviewed" nearly a dozen moving companies, some of which were also very knowledgeable and helpful, and narrowed down my selection to three. Based on the cost estimate, experience, reputation of the name, online reviews, and how helpful the company was, we ultimately chose ARS. Since I personally have never used a professional moving company, learning the ins and outs of the business as well as making sure the employee's property would be secured and well taken care of made for a really anxiety-filled experience for me. Tracy Roberts, who took the reins after Melissa, could not have been more ideal in being my ARS representative. She answered every single one of my questions with complete honesty and remained cordial despite the numerous times I contacted her with more inquiries. She realized I was anxious and turned this situation into a learning experience for me, educating me on exactly what goes on with the moving industry and what best practices are recommended. When you're dealing with a long distance move and all the factors that go into transporting a family's entire belongings with monetary and personal value, trust is very important, and Tracy did a tremendous job gaining my trust during this process. As we got closer to the move date, Tracy walked the employee's family and myself through the process, double checking that all of our ducks were in a row. During the days of the move Tracy visited the family more than once to make sure everything was going smoothly and helped ease some of the anxiety that comes with a move. She and the drivers went above and beyond to ease any worry, including transporting their family dog so that he didn't have to fly in cargo in below freezing temperatures. On the day the truck delivered the household goods to the new home, the employee let my supervisor and I know everything was great. He said, "Dog and the rest of our stuff made it safely this morning at 8 AM. Movers were tremendous. Great guys." The whole team at ARS that worked with us during this arduous process did a fantastic job. I feel 100% confident they will do a great job for anyone's moving needs. To be honest, they were not the least expensive mover on our list, however it was totally worth paying a little extra for the security and peace of mind that our employee's belongings were in good hands. When it comes time for me to move into a new home, I will most definitely contact them.

Jennifer Bennett

My worst nightmare. I don't think anyone wants to read the pages I could write about my experience, but I will sum it up with the following - Terrible communication, Not knowing where my belongings were, Belongings shipping over a week after promised to be delivered (not just a week after they were supposed to ship, almost a week after they were supposed to have arrived at destination), Living in a hotel, which cost an absolute fortune for two weeks - especially when last minute and completely unexpectedly , Flying across country to an empty house, with no clue where everything I own was at the time, Finally getting my belongings two weeks late, having to unload half the truck myself because the crew I paid for wasn't there, Countless broken or damaged items. Furniture scratched, broken items that the movers had packed (everything I packed was fine, but the items they helped pack because of size were nearly destroyed), bikes broken, things missing, found the belongings of other people mixed up in my stuff and really hope they made their way back to the right people All that cost nearly 5 figures. I've moved 18 times in my life, I know how to pack, I know how to do this, and this experience was by far the worst I've ever had. The worst part of all was no communication. Nothing to indicate my things were not on the way, NOTHING. I flew across country to meet up with the delivery crew and didn't know they weren't coming until late that afternoon after sitting in an empty house all day wondering if they were stuck in traffic and calling Atlantic over and over again until I finally found out.. Turns out, they hadn't even left Atlanta yet and no one bothered to so much as tell me. In short, think of it as a friend promising to be at your house at noon. They don't show, so you start calling them... nothing. You are worried sick. By at 10pm, you finally get in touch with them and they say they haven't even left the house yet. Now imagine that friend has everything you own and they are actually not just down the street, but on the other side of the county. They show up two weeks later with most of your stuff, but quite a few things are missing or damaged. Not friends anymore.

Crew from hell. Disrespectful, unprofessional, wouldn’t assemble anything or unpack anything. Worst ever experience. Attitude like there’s no tomorrow. Horrible company. We paid for door to door packing and unpacking and they wouldn’t unpack or assemble. One guy was wasted. Discourteous and rude and all they did was complain. Truly crew from hell. Wouldn’t assemble beds and we slept on the floor 3 days. One guy took a bolt from bed and promised to return to assemble the bed but never did.

Martha Myren

Our experience up until the move was great. The driver, Jason, was rude and the day of the move refused to move our belongings. As if moving out of state isn't stressful enough! Very unhappy!

Mel George

I had a corporate move several years ago and it was a nightmare. Truck was late, scrached and broken items, and not in a hurry to unload the truck. I just made a move to Atlanta and used Atlantic Relocation. They were on time, curtious, put boxes in the rooms marked correctly & nothing broken!. On my next move, I will be calling these guys again. Thank you.

Jeff Miller

We had 2 people back out of the house we sold so we had to reschedule our move twice - not a problem for Atlantic. When we finally nailed down our move date, they showed up on time (after calling to confirm) and moved us from Atlanta to Denver. We had very minor damage to two small items and everything else came through without a scratch. Overall, they weren’t the lowest price, but they were thorough and communicated the whole way. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Jane Hurst

We had a smooth move, the price quoted was reasonable and the crew showed up on time and were finished on time. Overall great experience. JH

Gwen O'Connor

Worst moving team ever. We have moved many times across the country and know what good movers are like. We used this team as they were sold to us as a team that was cover all floors and take very good care of belongings. They complained the whole time, broke many large furniture items, dented walls and did not place things where we asked. We had the carpets cleaned before we moved in and they did not cover any of the floors! They tracked mud in all over the place and once I noticed they complained that they were never told to cover the floors! Can you believe? We were told they always do and this was a reason we went with this company! Talk about the need to micromanage movers! I had no idea. One guy spilled a coke our custom carpet and did not tell us - we found it that night and it was still wet. Coke from lunch we bought for them! This should have been an easy local move and the quality of the movers made it much worse for us then any moves across the country has ever been!
