I can't say it was the best. The guys that came and picked up our stuff were nice and polite and did pretty good although they dropped one box from 4 steps down right in front of us. The box tumbled and landed at the bottom. Of course everything that broke in there is not going to be covered by the company( nothing gets covered that is packed by owner) of course when we were packing we did not have in mind that things will be dropped 4 steps and thrown around. Next we were told that it's the same company that will deliver our furniture to the other side. That was not the case. They contracted a different company that delivered our stuff. The guys were rude and careless. The one looked liked he was on drugs and he was in rush. Not only they damaged our boxes but they also broke couple of our light that we had in our front yard. Some of the boxes arrived completely destroyed. Again we did not pack thinking that our boxes will be thrown around. They managed to break thick plastic containers so you can imagine what happened with the glass stuff. Apparently to them Fragile means nothing. They also broke the leg of my dresser, they bended the entire frame of our aluminum office desk and our printer that was packed in it's original box and labeled as fragile is now broken. So i have to buy a new printer because again it was packed by owner so it is not covered!!!!! Also every furniture like our couch, recliner, rocking chair is now making a creaking noise like they are about to break. All that furniture were a year old and they did not make any noise prior to this move. So if you're planning to move, either do it yourselves or sell everything and rebuy where you're going. Moving companies don't care and they don't cover anything. I will say that they have nice people talking to you, very polite but at the end it doesn't matter if half your stuff are damaged and not covered

Not ready for National relocation. My wife and I moved from Florida to the mid-west. The pricing was solid and the movers were good. But the sales person who told me their capabilities completely exaggerated their scope and abilities to do out of state business. I had some family concerns on timing and specifically the length of the moving period. The sales person essentially lied to my face on their ability to get this done quickly and glossed over as much of the contract that allowed them to prolong the move. Miami to Midwest took 20 days. Their staff was rude on the phone and never returned calls. They clearly were not wanting to engage with a frustrated customer on the phone so their default solution was to ignore it. Their GM is a good personality and tried her best, but I think this company is just too small and immature to trust for a national cross country move. I would never recommend them to anyone. As an example, after a week of delays and frustrated calls to their dispatch, they confirmed they'd be delivering the next day. The driver committed to my wife 9am. She showed up at the empty house which was over an hour from the temp location we were staying in and waited. She also had our newborn with her. The driver showed up short staffed at 1pm. 4 hours late when they should have been aware that the customer was already fairly upset and it was a sensitive situation. Then they had only 2 people, didn't unpack anything for the portion we paid for in the kitchen, didn't take any garbage, and didn't carpet protect our new floors. Turns out that basically the entire thing had been outsourced. I would not recommend ever using this company beyond a local Florida move where they have control over the end to end logistics because they can't manage at a National scale at all. I've moved cross country for work 3 times in the last 10 years. Atlas, Allied....etc Way better. AVOID THIS COMPANY

My building is very particular with what they need and the company was super accommodating with timing. The movers were great and efficient. Solomon and Sons was so disappointing. I hired them from my move from the midwest to the west coast thinking that they had good reviews for a reason. The whole process was disorganized, the driver called me at last minute for pick up. The driver didn't move a finger, and was arguing with the other driver who was the one to load the items in his truck for the cross-country drive. I am sure things got tossed around and thrown out of anger! For delivery, I was told the driver was already in the state where I moved, and then it took 2 extra weeks for the delivery. No body bothered to keep me informed of what was going on. Every time I called, the people in the office were so rude! I could tell right then that the image of a professional company is just a nice website and pictures, because their logistics and even customer service practices are subpar. When I received the items, the driver who delivered had everything piled up in a way that I knew there were going to be issues. An that was the case, one marble table was broken, my 75" brand new TV also broke, and my armoire, computer and speakers got pushed around so much that they now have scratches and dents. I would never hire them again, nor would I recommend them to anyone I care about.

I made the mistake of using an online broker to set up a small cross-country move from Idaho to Florida. While the broker was not the best, I am so happy that they contracted with Solomon & Sons for the actual move. Driver Danny and another gentleman were efficient, polite, and honest. They called the day before and day of the pick-up, and twice again to confirm delivery time and date. They were on time, everything arrived without a scratch, and they assembled the furniture without any issues. I had a great experience with this Company!

Team Solomon and sons: To whom it may concern, i have listed everything on this sheet i can think of missing it is a sad state when you and your company hired these contract drivers and undocumented workers. who have broken and trashed two households worth of items. it is not just the items but a violation of our privacy as well as an attack on our dignity. i was told you only take care of lost, stolen, or broken items by the ton but we were charged by the cubic foot and then to be told by you company the lies and distortion. it was completely dishonest, as a veteran i have started reviewing your company and finding all the complaints. i also have been building and extensive profile of how you do business. I will be doing my best for my family to insure you and your contractors can not do this to others. you and your team not only took items you also destroyed furniture electronics and personal items stole my tools and sporting goods. and hunting gear broke in to jewelry. removed dishes from crates made specifically for shipping our breakables....Our family was devastated, you personally Broke your contract Lied and cheated my parents as well this is only a partial list of my belongings missing most of what i had was new or lightly used. and to blatantly lie and tell them that their Trailer was in Florida then that it was of loaded in to a warehouse in California then that it had never shipped 5 to ten times an took a two month trip when it was supposed to be here in three days then to find out you broke into locked safes and boxes all of the master bedroom boxes were cut and opened almost every box that was taped was opened and not even resealed. and when we asked the drop off driver about it he asked if we took pictures of the load. i asked really first you quote my parents one price then double it and on top have your driver ask them to pay the loaders and give them a tip. when they were screwed over by a company who led them astray i was angry. you took advantage of them. your promises of a seemless as possible move were nothing but a rouse to screw them and many others over. our wedding dishes with a setting for 16 was missing all but a few pieces mutiple boxes with camo and hunting clothing, camping gear,ammo cook ware hunting knives multi tools, fishing gear. tools many that are not on this list. be sure this will go everywhere i can to inform every one this is how Solomon and Sons conducts business. thank you William

Its been weeks since I completed my move with this company, I have been meaning to share my experience for weeks now. Let me start this review by saying I am very happy with the movers and the company, They did a great job and did everything they said they would. I have only 1 gesture to make to them, I originally booked with Jeff and Adam and I told them about my needs to place my move on a credit card witch was fine by them, but no one ever told me that If I use a card I would have a fee for using a card on the day of my move. If I would have know that I would have sought other payment options. Ether way I can't complain because I know no-one is perfect, Just wish that charge for the card was communicated from the start and not on the day of the move. Aside from that hiccup this was still a great experience.

Solomon & Sons Relocation Services were remarkable. I had a 12 x 12 storage unit that was almost completely filled. They showed up with three men and finished the entire move in less than three hours! I have an antique mirror that belonged to my father. They knew that it was precious to me and took special CARE with it. It showed up at my new home completely unscathed. I was very impressed with these guys and would hire them again.

I did not use this company. Reason being, I felt I was being harassed by Ed Garret of Soloman and Sons moving company one of the sales reps. Quoted me a very high price of $5800, from Florida keys to Michigan, but did tell me to call if I got a better price and he would try to match it. He also told me a $1000 quote to move one of my vehicles, from a sister company they only use. After doing allot of searching companies and their reviews I chose to go with another company. I did call him back and tell him that only out of curiosity to see what he would quote me. Well the quote was $ 500 less but still not even close to other quote I got. He asked me who the company was then proceeded to tell me how bad they were and were just mortgage brokers and they would tell the customers anything they wanted to hear (this is all in the emails he sent me). Which by the way, the company I went with was NOT a mortgage broker! To make a long story short, the man has emailed me 7 times and called 9!!! Even after blocking his number, he would use a different one to call (they had different area codes ) this is all been in the last 24 hours. Ladies and Gentlemen please do your homework when looking for a moving company and whatever you do, don’t use Ed Garret!!!

Solomon and Sons were by far the best company that I could have called for my long distance, cross-country move. I needed to move in a hurry due to starting a new job and they were able to come out quickly and get me moved. Not only did they load the truck and transport my truckload of household things, but they also packed everything for me. I couldn't believe that they would even offer to do that. I have so much stuff, it's amazing that they were able to get everything packed and loaded so quickly. 96 They were very helpful and kind to me during the entire process. They helped me stay stress free and I am very grateful for that. If I ever need to move so far away again, I will be calling Solomon and Sons.

I needed to move from Arkansas, to Texas; which was very stressful as school already started for my kids. The ONLY thing that went right with my entire move, was this company. I was very impressed with how professional, on time, and kind they were. They made everything go so smoothly. They took over everything as soon as they arrived, and took care of my property when loading, and unloading. They also took an inventory of all of my belongings. When we arrived at my new home, they moved all my furniture, and reassembled even my bedroom furniture and kids bunk bed. What a relief! Moving was very stressful and last minute for me. However, I had wonderful experience moving with Solomon and Sons locally. They came with four guys, Almaz was the team leader and he was very professional and efficient. With kids running around and with so much going on they made it so worth it. Only reason they get one star is for Alejandro and his moving crew, Allie in dispatch, and Timmy the delivery team.They were all very nice and handled my belongings with care. If it wasn't for them and Google this company would get -5 stars. In the beginning this company was very attentive, but after going thru the moving process with this company I realize it was just to get a sale. This company is very unprofessional, lacks communication and customer service skills. My sales rep was Alex Freeman who is a liar and disappeared after my belongings were picked up. He assured me that my belongings would get from FL to NV within 7-10 days and definitely before the end of June. My belongings set in FL for 2.5 weeks and no one in the entire company could even give me an estimated date for departure. I was passed from person to person and was told "they were working on it." The manger Roy Cohen was useless because he referred me to the contract without even acknowledging my questions/concerns. Then I was passed to Monica the "vice president" who was very rude, had a attitude and hung up on me several times and threatened that if I was not there get my belongings they would turn the truck around and charge me a holding fee. Marty the truck driver from Ocean Moving was very unreliable and a lair. He charged me a long haul fee after he told me that the truck was too big to fit in my complex and that he could not deliver my belongings; however several semi trucks has passed thru my complex; he clearly didn't know how to drive. He would also reschedule delivery dates without contacting me. And let me not forget the rude receptionist who always answered the phone, I wish I knew her name so i could drop it here too. My belongings where not delivered until July, they caused an inconvenience to my work schedule, and they lost some of my items. Don't waste your time or money with this company. I wouldn't be so irritated if they just told the truth from the being. Last but not least they need to change their website: all the photo of the movers are Caucasians. Only one first my movers was Caucasian, all others where part of the minority. Their website is not a good representation of their company as a whole. Stay Woke!!! Since I can’t post a new review it’s been 2 years since using this company and it’s time for me to move again...guess whose services I won’t be using...Solomon and Sons...never got my missing box and was never even connected with at least a simple apology for losing it. There still horrible so stay far away and spend your money elsewhere!!

This company is beyond fantastic. Honest, organized and caring. I didn't have a confirmation from my new place until the last second and I had to empty the old place on my moving date. These guys made it happen on an extremely short notice. I didn't even think it was possible.They are very responsive, have great customer service, movers are very professional. I an giving two stars just because the movers were amazing - not moreso the company. Roy had completed my estimate and after much hesitation I booked this moving company because it had good (but deceiving) reviews. I was stuck between choosing them and Allied Van Lines; and regret not believing my instincts. Allied did their estimate by weight which would have been beneficial for me since everything I own weighs next to nothing. Solomon and Sons' cubic feet metric sucks if you own a lot of stuff! Allied also offered me a guaranteed rate as well. Like the scam companies practice; and also my biggest fear when shopping for a moving company, my estimate was $1,300+ over, and I called Roy to express my disappointment. He only offered me $200 which was a slap in the face seeing that I tipped my outbound movers much more than that. I am glad that I know better for my next move, but nevertheless appreciated the movers who were amazing in terms of furniture handling, overall customer service, and realistic expectations. The receiving movers were actually subcontracted out like the many moving companies that work like a brokerage which caught me off guard. I would not recommend someone to have their belongings moved by this company, but it would not be the end of the world. If the estimate was correct and not changed an hour before the truck left when I had no other choice, then things would have been different. I even got rid of 20% of the items in my home when the estimate was done! Do not go cheap on your move if you do not have to; especially if you only have to pay a little more for a larger, more reputable organization. These positive reviews are misleading!

I recently moved from Raleigh, NC to Atlanta, GA. I found Solomon and Sons from researcher different mover companies. I was looking for a company that provider the best prices and one that I trusted to move my things. From the time I initially asked for a quote to the day the delivered my things, I was pleased through the whole process. The service was absolutely incredible! Everything was on time and made the whole moving process less stressful. There were no hidden fees and I didn't feel like I was getting cheated one bit. I would recommend Solomon and sons to anyone who is moving!

I never knew how tremendously awful the search process could be. A lot of these companies are like VULTURES. They call and call and call and hassle you. I found Solomon & Sons through Yelp and am grateful for all the other reviewers on here. I called S&S and spoke to Jesse who was very helpful in explaining everything. At one point during our phone calls, He even offered to provide me with his personal e-mail should I need him even during hours where the office was closed. That sold me My movers arrived right on time for pick up. I was amazed that I was able to put my feet up and watch them go to work. They carefully made sure EVERYTHING was wrapped so that it wouldn't get damaged; desks and dressers had cardboard corners on them to add cushion--everything was wrapped in drop cloths then wrapped again with tight wrap to hold the cloths in place. ALL of my boxes were labeled with my name and with numbers so that they knew how many pieces/items I had--SO ORGANIZED. Overall 5 stars could not have asked for more out of this company. Thank you !

Representative very helpful at beginning, pricing was best around. Communication became more difficult as soon as I signed the contract. Movers were great but was not told of a credit card authorization fee ahead of time so had to go to the bank and withdraw money to avoid. Large print on the contract stated between 2-14 business days but when that looked unlikely, I was told that fine print in the contract gave them up to 21 business days. People who were contracted by Solomon & Sons to unpack things were great. I have still not heard from any representative from the company following my move. My stuff arrived safe & the movers themselves were great which is why they are getting 2 stars from me.

I was relocated for my job and I ran into so many barriers that life just became difficult. I spoke with my apartment complex and they didn’t want to let me break my lease without paying a crazy amount. With the move and the old apartment and new apartment I was going to be about $430 short. I think my prayers were answered because the movers knew my situation and helped me save almost $600. I am so blessed and I think that the best part of this situation is to always remember who looks after you in all cases.

I did my first solo move from Miami to Los Angeles and was utterly clueless and stressed! Jason from Solomon & Sons was so nice and handled my move incredibly! The movers who packed up my things wrapped everything with care and before leaving they walked me through every detail of the paperwork so I wasn't lost. (They could've also charged extra in a few places but didn't. lol I appreciated that) The price was great and everything go there perfectly.

Happy with the service. Overall I do think 5 stars is deserving for this company. I have move in the past and know what to expect when it comes to movers, Typically 1-2 Hours late on arrival. Lack of communication or some kind of mishap. I am pleased to say that this move had none of those issues. The movers arrived Early vs Late, They are uniformed and clearly you can see Solomon & sons on the truck they show up in. They pack, Wrap and stack the job like pros and everything made it to my destination without any headaches or surprises. A refreshing experience from my previous movers. Moving is always a hassle and never goes perfectly. I have moved several times over the year and have to say this is by far the best moving service I ever have used. From the start with the booking to the customer service (Gabriella) I had a superb experience. I relocated from Brickell in Miami up to Cocoa Beach. Brickell is not the easiest place to move from with limited parking and traffic but John kept telling me to relax everything was going to be fine and it was. I had a 3 man crew and they worked super fast and got me out before my elevator reservation ended and smoothly got me to my new place in a much quieter area! When the time came to finish up I practically had to insist they took gratuities! Incredibly gracious people! I usually only give 1 star or 5 star reviews and was compelled after a long weekend of moving to sit down and write this for them. I truely appreciate their hard work on the truck and in the office!! Delivery process was fantastic. John who was my driver and delivery manager really knows what he is doing and handled the entire delivery process smoothly and with class. He called a day ahead to let me know when he planned to arrive and showed up on time ready to get the job done. If I could give 0 starts I would. This has been the worst thing you'd fear when moving 1000+ miles away. I got a job offer and I had to move. Received many phone calls from different movers but Solomon and Sons were the first to call and gave me a "good" offer. Alexander Freeman was very pushy but I took it as very connected and personal with the customer and decided to go with them since they were a smaller, local company and they had been "taking" care of me and had been empathetic. I was told by Alexander Freeman my things would be picked up on the 25th of March and arrive from 1st-4th of April. He said if the things left the 25th they would definitely arrive before the 5th. The 28th I receive a phone call telling me my things would arrive between the 4th and the 10th and that my things were still in FL. I start my job the 5th and it is a 10am-12am job. Since I will be at work they offer me to put my things in storage and pay $500 a day after I already paid 2k. Suddenly some of the phone recordings disappeared where Alexander Freeman is assuring me of the 1st-4th window. If these people are offering you a good deal know that American Van Lines would match the price. I should've gone with them.

First I have to say I hardly write reviews, maybe 5 in my life and trust me I was on my guard hiring any mover as I have heard some nightmare stories when dealing with movers. I warned Jason my sales rep from Solomon & Sons from day one that I own an insurance agency for the last 25 years that insures moving trucks and that I am going to be a stickler on every detail of the move including time frame to pickup my personal property from FL and deliver to my NC home, manner of packing as well as price. I also told Jason if I choose Solomon & Sons that I want his personal cell number which he gave me because I want to be able to ask questions whenever needed. Well I can honestly say that my experience was AMAZING!!! Jason stayed in communication with me by phone through out the process and he was awesome! The movers that arrived at my FL house impressed me the way they wrapped and protected everything on a Monday afternoon and delivered to my NC home on Thursday afternoon. So now the real test I thought would be when the truck arrived in NC what condition would be goods be in and my wife who is even more a stickler who would be in NC on the receiving end of the move. Well my wife was pleasantly blown away on the work of the men who unloaded the truck and assembled all that need to be assembled. I can honestly say this was a "5 star" experience and I would highly recommend Solomon & Sons and make sure you speak to Jason, he is the MAN !!!

Very satisfied overall with my move from South Florida to Colorado. I was very concerned and sceptical when choosing a company at first. I got quotes from various companies and asked plenty of questions. I check credentials and reviews to try and make the best decision. After speaking with a few companies my conversation with Ed Garett at soloman and sons had me feeling pretty comfortable. Although they were one of my highest quotes, Ed's ease at answering all my questions and teaching me how the whole process would work was very reassuring and helped me know that I was paying for quality. I had to change my move date and location at one point and getting in touch with Ed was always easy and he handled the changes quickly. The quote was explained throughly and everything went as expected. They confirmed pick up the day before and gave a time frame. The young men that assisted in my move were very professional and well mannered. They handled my belongings with care and wrapped things extremely well. Thank you again to Mondoe who even helped tighten a loose leg on my office chair and some shelves on my shoe shelving. He directed his team effortlessly and went through the contract and payments professionally. Thanks again to his team Jerimah, Jerome, and Rashaun all very polite and great movers. While my belongings were in transit I was always able to call and check in on delivery dates with no hesitation. As expected the day prior to delivery I received a call with a time frame for drop off and they showed up right on time. My items were transferred to a much larger truck but that was explained during the Initial quote process. The two gentlemen that unloaded were very efficient and were able to get everything unloaded with ease. Between my very detailed packing and their wrapping/protective covering everything made it great. Thank you again to everyone who made the move possible and effortless. Those behind and in front of the scenes, a cross country move is a little nerve wrecking but you guys made it easy.

I was extremely apprehensive about using a moving company to help me relocate from Miami to Georgia. I called around, read reviews and I had to make a choice. I went with Solomon and Sons. I prayed and I called. Jason was my initial contact, then Gabriella in dispatch. The day arrives, they go to the location in Miami to pick up my belongings. The gentleman that handle the loading was extremely friendly and made me feel at ease right away. ( Mind you I spoke to him via FaceTime, my friend was there, I wasn't). Then 4 business days later my furniture arrived in a timely manner and in perfect condition. Joe and Jeremiah were top notch. I was very impressed with how professional, on time, and kind they were. They made everything go so smoothly. I was in the biggest rush to move my house and not only were they fast and efficient - they were able to store some of my larger items until my new place was able to receive them (after renovations) I also want to take a moment to thank Monica for listening to all my complaining and being sooooooo nice (and even giving me her personal cell phone so I can bother her at all hours of the day because my work schedule is CRAZY!!!) This was my second time using Solomon and Sons. They always arrive on time, finish on time, and provide great service. They are extremely careful with my belongings and take the time to wrap all of my furniture and TV's. They are also extremely polite and courteous. On top of this, I called around to maybe 15 different moving companies in the area for a quote and Solomon has the best rates. I moved on a Sunday and while most other movers charge double, sometimes even triple the rates of a regular week day, AB movers did not. I always recommend them to anyone who asks for movers. They're amazing.

Everything in a word was professional. When I call, I don't have to talk to my "salesperson" in order to get answers. Whoever I reach is able to find my account, tell me what I need to know, immediately get in touch with the driver, accurately explain processes, expectations, etc. The way they wrapped my furniture in my non professional opinion might have been overkill, but it arrived at its destination without damage, so it must have been just right. There are a lot of movers in South Florida. I paid more than the cheaper quotes I received. However, it was clear that they were worth it almost immediately. I don't regret it at all. From getting an estimate, revising my inventory, getting on the schedule, talking to dispatch, pick up and delivery, it all went beautifully. I ended up bringing fewer boxes but bringing a dresser I thought that I wouldn't. I knew the cubic footage everything, (and they had broken it down individually on the estimate which not every company does) so I also know they played no games when it came to loading because the net cubic footage was right where it should have been. I paid less than my estimate. They told me that when they give their estimate, it is a worst-case price. That's exactly what they did. Just an outstanding experience overall.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! The company is full of lies and false promises. We moved from PA to CA. Alex was great to work with until our items were picked up and then everything became horrible. Multiple items were broken including multiple furniture items. Furniture hardware was lost and we cannot use the furniture. The movers that delivered the items required the customers to help put the furniture back together. The movers scuffed up the walls on the move. Poor experience. Go with a company that costs a little more - you will regret using Solomon and Sons.

Solomon and Sons was wonderful when it came to packing up our old house (fast and super careful). Fast forward to when all of our furniture is supposed to be delivered and we cannot get a for sure delivery date to save our lives. We got a call last Friday (3/22) telling us our furniture would be delivered on 3/26, we called on 3/25 to get an exact time only to be told that it would be delivered sometime between 3/27 and 3/30. We called our sales person (Jordan) and he said there’s a window for deliveries and they never give an exact date (we were never told about the window). He then said it would be delivered between 3/27 and 3/28, it’s now 3/27 so we called to see if our stuff was being delivered tomorrow and were told it’s now going to be the 29th. This would be fine if we were in a state where we could stay with friends or family, but we relocated out of state and are at Solomon Sons mercy. We’ve been sleeping on an air mattress and spending money on eating out due to us not having any of our pots, pans, spices, etc. So not only are we paying $6k for our moving service but we are paying for the extras too. Super disappointed.

He was in communication with me from the time he received my belongings up until the delivery. Well I had a rather great experience with S&S relocation and I went from being in a nightmare because my lease was terminated early and pretty much had to move on the dime I was quoted and moved within 3 days. Which to me is great for such short notice ! Most of the other places were asking easily double the amount for the short notice .. movers came packed everything up perfectly professionally and even got it up a very narrow set of stairs without damaging anything and reassembled everything perfectly just as it was. I have to say that in all my quote comparisons, and in speaking / emailing several Sales People, that my experience with Ed Garrett was top notch. He wasn't just a "sales guy"... Ed was extremely professional and a thorough Relocation Consultant. He was very helpful to make sure I was fully informed on the benefits of using his company and some of the tactics that other companies may use to lock you in and then surprise with added costs after. Always request a physical estimator at your residence along with a set price. Do not accept the over the phone estimate. If some of your furniture pieces are “larger” than what S&S says is normal and your cubic footage runs out in the truck you won’t know until they are loading you up. Then, is when you will be presented with extra charges. Also take the time to read ALL fine prints. Also be clear on your storage charges if you have them store your belongings. The crews that came to residences, were very good and careful. That was the best part of the experience.

Trying to move a entire family out of state can be challenging to say the least. Moving is dreadful. Period. Thankfully I hired the right moving company. When I started the process to shop around for moving companies I went straight to Yelp to see who was qualified. Amongst a few other companies Solomon & sons provided an estimate. Of all 4 bids this was the only company that actually came to my house to give provide a quote. Having heard of horror stories about price hikes and shady movers I was more cautious this time. I wanted solid service and no surprises. After hiring Solomon and sons, Working with the staff in the office was pleasant and professional. The movers knew there stuff, they pack very well and are careful. My price was adjusted on the day of the move due to more boxes but reasonably so. The driver at the other end calls you back when he says he will. Everything was handled very well overall. I was actually a bit shocked. Movers were never this easy.I'm happy I found this company on yelp, my friend and family will be using this company in the future.

Not happy with the service from Solomon and Sons at all! Before selecting Solomon I researched and spoke with over 15 moving/relocating companies. This was over 25 hours of trying to get an accurate estimate for the moving job. Leo Walker at Solomon was relentless in pursuing my business. I did select this company for my move. From the day they arrived until several days after they delivered my goods I was disappointed with the service I had received. First Solomon estimated my move at 900 cubic ft. When they arrived to pick up my items I was told I had 1120 cubic ft of goods. At $3.25/cubic ft. this resulted in surcharge of over $700 to my order. When they arrived at the destination they could not park their huge rig in my parking lot so I was charged another $100 for them to unload my merchandise. But the worst part about the move was that several glass items were broken (even though I paid for glass protection and it was packed by their movers, "medium" size movers boxes were missing resulting in the loss of valuable documents, electronics, etc. and my tool box was never delivered. This resulted in greater than $700 in losses to me on top of the extra $800 I paid for the move. Never again with this bunch!

These guys deserve 6 stars! We made a recent move from Miami Beach FL to Sherman Oaks CA. The movers these guys have are AMAZING. I am not one to Rave about a service or product but these guys (Chris, Calvin, Arthur & Ron ) are truly works of Art. We had some very special items to be moved such as out 600 lb 3 piece Custom Marble Slated table. This table was hand made for us by a friend in Canada. There will never be another one like it around again. I interviewed 3 other movers before choosing these guys and went with them solely for the fact that they seemed to be more educated on how to handle this item and were reassuring in there proposal. I recently hired Solomon and Sons for a long distance move from the Fort Lauderdale area to the Tampa area. My experience with Solomon and Sons was first-class from my initial sales consultation with Ed, to my move with Armando, Jerome, and Chadley. Everyone I encountered with Solomon and Sons was professional and the crew worked very quickly. Solomon and Sons services were a little slightly more expensive than the typical local moving company competition, however, Ed explained to me that Solomon and Sons would deploy a 3-man crew for my move as opposed to a regular two-man crew, complete my move over a 2-day period with an overnight hold of my belongings in their secure warehouse, and take great care with their wrapping, packing and handling of my things. Everything was as Ed described and there were no hidden or "surprise" charges that other companies may hit you with after providing an initial low-ball quote. There was one minor issue with my move and Monica was happy to step in and take care of the concern to ensure that I was a happy customer. I definitely recommend using Solomon and Sons for anyone who is considering either a short or long-distance move. I had a 5-star experience across the board and I’ll definitely look into using their services again in the future.

I am a little late to post because I’ve been busy, but here are my concerns: I asked for insurance since my company was paying for the move. I was tired the day they loaded and did not read the contract. There are two insurance options. The driver checked the one that was pay per pound for damage. My furniture arrived with some pieces missing and a lot of damage. I had decorative container boxes of personal items that they tossed in the garage and they busted all over the floor. They didn’t secure the pins in my bookshelf and they all fell out so now it won’t hold shelves. They put the lampshades in the bottom of the box and crushed them. My actual damages and missing items were about $1,470. The insurance option would have reimbursed me about $6 at most. I believe that after they knew I had selected the cheap insurance they took less care. It’s unfortunate because these guys are moving peoples possessions that have history and personal value. They should treat peoples possessions as if they are fully responsible for priceless items. Of the three companies I’ve used for cross country moves, this was the worst.

Best. $1700. I. Have. Ever. Spent. The cost was $1570 In estimate. After Completed we used 3 Extra Wardrobe boxes ad purchased 2 Extra Mirror Packs.. My stuff arrived in perfect shape. The move took them about 6 days. Moving a 1 bedroom apartment full of furniture is not fun. Driving a U-Haul 1400 Miles sound like fun, Did it a few years ago and told myself I would never do it again. Enter Solomon & Sons Movers. They will expertly and politely pack all your things in at whirlwind speed without scratching a thing. They really know what they are doing. I have epic amounts of respect for their professionalism. All the way from the quotation process to the end of my move, I could not have asked for a better first-time experience with a moving company. They are a small operation with only a few trucks and have a lot of pride in what they do. I really think that the human element and dedication shined through and I will not be trying any other moving company. Ever. Seriously, if you have any doubts about this company, I hope this post helps lay your fears to rest.

If I could rate this company as a negative 50 I would. The whole move from Florida to texas was a nightmare. First I was quoted 10,000 then 12,000 but once they finished loading the gentleman said 16,000. I told him to unload it all but he said he couldn't. So he held my stuff hostage. Then when the truck got to Texas half of my stuff was missing. Thank God my son went over every box number and showed the driver how many boxes were missing (165) because the driver argued with my son that what he delivered was it. The items missing were my valuables and I am still missing two bracelet storage holders and some rings that were also in those pouches. Finally we got a hold of the company because they were closed for a holiday and he said oh yes we found the rest of you stuff and we will not charge you to deliver these items. It was their mistake I shouldn't be charged if anything I should have received some of my money back for the stress they caused and for all the damaged and missing items . Then the guys that unloaded just shoved the boxes every and anywhere. Most if the boxes were marked garage so I didn't know where everything was. The delivery guy broke my highwheel trimmer right in front of me. He pulled the wire out and said oops. I have so many damaged items. Lamps, plates, decorations lawn equipment and missing items. Horrible company. The women that originally come out for my quote told me the insurance they have was 6 cents per pound ridiculous. Now that I have gone through other reviews I see this company has a practice of quoting one price then increasing the amount once the items are loaded, lying to customers, damaging & loosing customers items. The women that originally came out to my house gave me the 10,000 quote and insured me if I needed her for any questions or concerns to call her but when I tried she was out of town. Do not use this company you will be devastated. I am handicapped so it is taking me a while to unpack and they made it even harder for me because of how they packed my items and brought them in the house. A lamp I received from my aunt who has passed away was smashed on the bottom and now trash along with plates I got when I went to Europe completely ruined. Funiture broken , nicked, scratches, missing fine jewelry I could go on and on. I am extremely dissatisfied and would never recommend this company.

They left out the fact that if you're moving from any other state outside of Florida at least along the east coast, they unload your stuff in Florida first then eventually they deliver it to you. The guys that actually move the stuff are pretty good at packing things properly, protecting furniture,etc. The only thing we lost were some dishes that we had packed ourselves. Also the fees for walking over 75 feet from the truck to your door are too high, which goes along with the fees for shuttling stuff .

I'm not sure why there are some poor reviews with this company. This is the second time I've worked Solomon and Sons and I'm nothing but pleased with both experiences. We move a lot for my job, and it can be tricky uprooting every few months. However, this company left me so pleased and relaxed, I didn't even have to lift a finger! The movers arrived on time and were done with packing in no time. I am so very thankful for such a wonderful moving experience, and I would recommend them to anyone planning to move in a heartbeat. They are quickly, and your things will arrive safely. Nothing was lost, and everything was well documented.

Solomon & Sons is the best moving company. I had to move from VA to CA and they answered all of my questions and continued to put my fears at ease. I was told that my furniture would take 14-21 days to get there but it go to it's final destination in 11 days!! The price is in line with other moving companies. My estimate price did not change once! Great customer service, you get an inventory list for all of your items as well as receipt for your records. You are as able to call to check on the status of your goods. I will ONLY use Solomon & Sons for cross state relocation.

A giant thank you sign should be flown over you all's building. The customer service that Kelly gave us was absolutely perfect. Kelly was so knowledgeable and definitely kind. Like a child I needed someone to hold my hand to complete this relocation. Since I had the pieces to the puzzle laid out for us by Kelly, the move day went easy and no stress or headaches like my last move. I had a horrible experience in the past so I had some hesitation. Everything was handled delicately and then moved to our new home in a rapid time of only 4 days. We were beyond thrilled for that. Delivery day was great just like the pick up day. Knowing that I just moved across numerous states and nothing was even scratched made my life. We used this company today. October 2018... Very professional from the sales guy (Tyler) to the movers. They wrapped all the furniture and took extra care with everything. The guys were very nice and helpful. They even finished ahead of the scheduled amount of time quoted and we received credit for that! I would definitely recommend this company to any one, especially if you are as skeptic about moving companies as I was!
