What an awesome experience with Purple heart moving group, James, the agent that picked up the call sounded nice and friendly on phone He collected our details and we booked an appointment. They arrived earlier than expected with no excuses. Although I and my wife doubted them at first but they did surprise us with superb professionalism. I totally recommend them.

Terrible. They are not actually the people that move you. Have to pay cash. Belongings are often moved twice from one truck to another. Claim process is a nightmare...no response.any things briken or damaged. Moved in January, still do not have resolution. Oxymoron: "professional movers." Do not use.

Were very punctual and immediately got to work knowing I was paying hourly. They were very careful with our belongings but still efficient with minimal breaks. We had a few awkward items to disassemble and they made quick work of them. They were also very courteous and vocal throughout the process making sure we were comfortable.

The first thing I always do for any product or service is look at the reviews. Some of the reviews weren't the greatest, but most were satisfactory. So, I took a chance. I was moving and needed movers quick! It didn't take them long to pick up. I explained my situation and how things were last minute on my end, but they understood and gave me a price that I expected. I'm really particular about my stuff. So, I had help from my family with packing and we nearly triple packed the fragile items because the move was long distance. Purple Heart Moving Group packed the truck to where everything would fit and nothing would be damaged. Moving is something I take seriously and it's not fun, but this moving company took the job and delivered.

Do NOT use this company! We are sure that all of the positive reviews for this company are fraudulent and were paid for. There are numerous complaints at the Better Business Bureau. I wish I would have read them. They will charge you WAY more than your estimate, subcontract to numerous companies outside their control, and not deliver when they say they will! DO NOT USE PURPLE HEART or FRAGILE MOVING!!! They are nothing short of criminals, and hopefully our complaints to the Better Business Bureau and other actions we intend to take will shut them down before they can harm anyone else.

Troycky Ricky

Super happy with this company! They were wonderful from start to finish. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful. The moving crew showed up as scheduled for pick up and drop off. I will be using them for any other moves and telling people that need to move about them as well.

In the morning of our move, the dispatcher team showed up very early in the morning. They were really very humble, energetic and enthusiastic. They immediately started wrapping and packaging my furniture, household items and many of my precious equipment. To pack all these, they took just 3 hours and started loading the packages into their truck and organized them in an efficient manner. Their packaging and shipping reflected sheer professionalism. The shippers were very humble, energetic and enthusiastic. They were very punctual about the delivery time. They delivered all my things exactly after 5 hours as they committed. They took great care of my precious equipment. They arrived, unloaded and unpacked everything in our new place without a single issue. Then they organized my things in the perfect place as I expected.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The are a broker and hand off your move to some other "fly-by-night" moving company. They do not care about you or your move, only the sale. My move ended up costing over $1,000 more than they quoted. It has been over 2 weeks and I still have not received my possessions and PHMG couldn't care less. They are absolute snakes that take advantage of people.

Liana Islam

They are highly unresponsive once they have your money. When they picked up my stuff, they said they will deliver them within 3-10 business days after the first delivery date I chose. The people pickimg up my stuff were 3+ hours late. So Purple Heart is a broker. They had delegated my move to Hometown Van Lines. I called Hometown Van Lines many times because 3-10 business days had passed. They did not pick up the phone once. Then I called Purple Heart and after many call attempts, was able to speak with a customer service representative. She contacted them and found out that Hometown Van Lines had not noted my first available delivery date. They promised they would call me back before delivering within Tuesday-Thursday of the next week. They are playing this cruel game of promising and breaking promises with me. I doubt if I'll ever get my stuff delivered.

Brendan Moynihan

Would give them a zero if I could. This is a scam and a front for other movers. Unexpected charges on front end and on the back end, all our electronics were damaged. DON’T DO IT YOU WILL REALLY REGRET CHOOSING THIS MOVING COMPANY. Scam artists from the name right through until the end. They will take no responsibility for problems or damage. Buyer beware!

Lisa Parent

The worst company I have ever worked with. Did not fulfill terms of contract and received the worst customer serious I have ever received. I will be filing a lawsuit to rectify issues as the company itself is unwilling to work with me. Carry your belongings on your back to your new location before hiring this company to move your things.

Stay far far FAR away from Purple Heart Moving Group! This moving experience has been nothing short of a complete DISASTER. This company is a SCAM!!! First, the initial driver texted with pickup information with less then 24 hours notice. He never stated his name and to this day I don't know it. When he showed up, 90 minutes after the agreed upon time, he was unable to fit an 18 wheeler into the apartment complex. Keep in mind, this was a 1bed/1bath apartment moving 400 miles. An 18 wheeler was EXCESSIVE. Then, the driver came into the apartment to "evaluate" the belongings. He insisted that there were extra charges, on top of the price in the contract, which included...$600 to change the 18 wheeler out for a smaller truck, $500 for storage, $225 for stairs, $425 for cubic feet...totaling $1750. He tried to bargain and "cut a deal" at $900. The driver wrote down the updated estimate on a NAPKIN. At this point, customer service at Purple Heart Moving Group was contacted. Mercedes said that this driver was not abiding by the carrier agreement and he was told to leave. The driver left yet still continued to reach out asking if the move was on. The next day, Purple Heart Moving Group sent other drivers. These two men, Daniel and Marvin, arrived promptly and moved the belongings in a professional manner. They provided paperwork with the correct prices. It took Purple Heart Moving Group 8 DAYS to move a 1bed/1bath apartment 400 miles. During this time, no updates were provided. The delivery date was supposed to be 48 hours after pickup. Purple Heart Moving Group was contacted everyday to find out an estimated delivery date and time. Not a single person at this company could provide this information. There was a serious lack of communication. Every phone call was answered by a different person who would provide incomplete information. Thank you for taking the time to read about this AWFUL experience with Purple Heart Moving Group. My hope is that by writing this at least one person doesn't find themselves in the same situation. Moral of the story USE ANOTHER COMPANY!

I recently used this company for a move to Florida and I am very happy with the overall experience. I originally called and spoke to Zack who was very helpful and answered all of my questions. He even re-explained everything to my husband so we were both comfortable with the process to move forward with them. On the day of the move, the drivers arrived a little later than expected but we did receive a phone call with an explanation, which we understood. The crew was polite and quickly packed and loaded our items in a professional manner. I worked with Kristen in their customer service to figure out the best time for our delivery to take place and she was very helpful as well. We did have a few damaged items which we are in the process of filing a claim for. Otherwise, it was a very good experience and I would recommend them.

THEY ARE BROKERS. Not once was this mentioned to me. The sales guy played me and said they ensure everything is wrapped, he quoted me extra space, and said there wouldn't be an issue for an after 5pm delivery. This would be difficult to do considering the movers that showed up to my family's home in CA was U.S. Movers. Not Purple Heart. Delivery took weeks longer than expected. No one returned my calls or could tell me when my stuff would be loaded onto a truck to come over here. And no, delivery did not take place after 5pm. All in all, THREE companies were involved to get my stuff to CO from CA. Purple Heart did nothing, I could've hired US Movers or a different company directly. I ended up getting charged an extra couple hundred dollars when they showed up to load the truck, plus, there was a clear lack of communication between Purple Heart and U.S. Movers considering I had paid for an extra flight of stairs but the movers wouldn't unload into my apartment since they didn't have a record of this. A handful of glasses/frames/items broke but luckily nothing valuable. Which is a MIRACLE considering the poor quality care from this company. Funny how once I signed the contract, I couldn't get a hold of the salesperson...even funnier how I spoke with Josh on the phone, but all emails were sent by a different guy Nick...Plus, the movers that went to my family's home for pick up were rude to my mom: unacceptable. I decided to hire Purple Heart despite the added expense in the belief that I would be getting quality care. I can say that the cross-state moving experience was a nightmare and I 100% will not use and will not recommend Purple Heart. BUYER BEWARE.

Elijah Davis

The rates were a little higher than other companies, but they were very professional, friendly, packed things in the truck with care, and had all the proper equipment for a large move. They used moving straps to carry very heavy furniture down the stairs and didn't ding a single wall in the process. It was money well spent and I would definitely recommend their company!

Avonna Starck

This company lied about the time it would take to deliver the items. They misquoted by nearly $1,000. They were over 1.5 hours late for their pick up window. They didn't add the baby crib to the quote. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

Johana Jacob

Purple Heart Moving Group helped us move from our condo to a temp apartment and then from temp apartment to our new home. They were extremely diligent and got the job done with very high quality. They were great to work with. Highly recommend you hire them!

Sam Wilson

After Purple Heart moving took all the money for the move (at the time of pickup) I NEVER heard from them again. I didn’t know my stuff left IL for MA. Didn’t know it was enroute, didn’t know when it was to be delivered, didn’t know when it was out for delivery, didn’t know anything until 15days after puckup, I got a call from a 3rd party that they would be delivering in 20 min (weekday morning) and that if an 18 wheeler couldn’t fit in the apt complex, I would be charged another 500 USD (this is after the additional 1500 USD I was charged at pickup because the quote was garbage). I will never use this useless group.

Christy M

Believe in all these negative reviews. I too went through the exact same things. From initial quotes to damages and everything in between. The kicker...at drop off the dispatcher demanded cash only payment. Mind you, it was over $3000. I took pictures of him counting the cash and he yelled at me. Ha! I turned on my video player and recorded everything he had said and done from that point. Will post pictures.

Gloria G

Worst experience of my life. Buyer beware! I initially went with Purple Heart Moving group because they had decent reviews and the price wasn't too bad. Well you get what you pay for. I was moving from NJ to FL and requested a delivery date of 7/8 for my items. Well when I didn't receive a call regarding my delivery, I called customer service and was told that the delivery date I quoted was a start date and that company would deliver my thing 3 - 10 business day from the delivery request date I gave them. When I told the customer service rep that this was not explained to me when I book the service, she just said that was company policy. When I called the sales rep Trevor that booked my service to get an explanation, he did not return my calls. So finally after going back and forth with customer service, my items were finally delivered 7/22, 14 days after the delivery date I quoted them. Not only were they 4 days past the due date, my items arrived in less than the stellar condition they were packed with. There were scratches on the furniture and most of the wrapping and blankets were either ripped and pulled halfway off. I then called customer service again to try and get some type of discount but their response was that unless it's 30 days late, that it's not company policy to administer any type of refund. 30 days!!!!! Please save yourself the pain and go with a more reputable and reliable moving company.

Red I

I found their rate to be very reasonable, they are cheap and it was a good idea to book my moving with them, right? WRONG, because they shipped my stuff to a whole different state in Colorado, instead of Ohio. I was so clear in my instructions to the guy. My stuff arrived one month delayed, missing some stuff, and have me paid extra. They were unapologetic and wanted to blame me. FYI, don't believe this lie about we can store your stuff for free for 4 weeks at no additional charge, also don't believe the lie about you can decide the delivery date and time. A bad company overall. Also forget to mention the missing TV stand. Book another company even if little more expensive,

Sherri Thompson

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I used this company to move in January. They contracted out to a company to contracted to another. I paid for an expedited delivery which I never received and I did not receive the refund promised. There estimate was wrong and they charged me more at pick up. I have many broken items. No one ever contacted me after the move was completed. I have called the company and been assured someone would reach out to me but it has been over a month with no word. I will make sure no one within my company uses them in the future. This is my 5th move in 5 years and it is the worst experience I have ever had with any company. If I could have left no stars on this review I would have

Amanda Jogia

Zero stars if I could. Be warned that these guys are only brokers and once they take your money they do not care. No one answers the phone. They give you a 48 hour moving window and they say they are going to deliver on a certain date but that depends on the subcontractor. So you don't know what you get. Paid a big part of the bill for Purple Heart to call someone else to book the move. I could have done that directly. Purple Heart was horrible. DO Not Use Them.

Mike Rogers

Do yourself a favor and do not go through with this company. I used them to move my stuff from Ca to Va and completely regret it. They hire a 3rd party company to move your stuff which I could have just done myself if I knew that they were going to do this. The initial setup went extremely well and they were able to come do the pickup of my household items rather quickly. However, when they showed up they came with a almost full truck. This resulted in me throwing out my brand new coffee table, end tables, lamps and other items in order to fit everything. To be clear I am a single guy in a one bedroom 730 sq ft apartment and the only furniture that I was moving has a leather chair, no bed, no couch, no appliances and no tables thanks to them. I told them I had a BMW motorcycle that needed to be loaded during the initial phone call that somehow translated into a bicycle. The estimated cost that they gave me for the move doubled when they showed up costing thousands extra. They offer to store your items locally to your destination for up to one month for free which is a big plus. The issue here is that they do not store your items locally to where you are moving too, they store your items at your departure location which was CA. So when I called and told that I was ready for delivery it took over 3 weeks. They didn’t even have a clue on what state my items were in and never called be back even after calling them repeatedly every day. When my stuff showed up at random at 6:50am in the morning, as I was heading out the door for work, it continued to get worse. The driver was completely rude in the beginning and charged me another $250 which he said was because my door is over 75 feet from the road. My apartment is on the first floor and is probably like 130 feet, so I get if they charged a little extra but $250? The best part is that we wouldn’t let me have a copy of this new charge which I did manage to take a picture, which means he probably put the money in his pocket. When he unloaded my bike, he proceeded to get on it, start it and started revving it. The bike also revered with light damage to it. This is a brand new bike that has been significantly upgraded that I use for racing. When filing a claim for damages Purple Heart Moving Group takes zero responsibility and told me to take it up with the movers. The movers told me to email them with a list of damages, which I did along with pictures and proof of cost. Now they are telling me that I have to mail the claim in. I highly doubt that I will see any money.

I used Purple Heart Moving Group to help move my wife and I into our first home. The booking process was very easy and their staff was happy to reassure me that they were on top of everything. The quote was exactly on budget for us. I would recommend them to anyone because they did an awesome job. The movers were fantastic. They really made sure all of our items were secure. Not a single thing was damaged. My wife and I loved working with them and I would be glad to use Purple Heart Moving Group in the future.

Debby Benson

Do not engage this group. They give a quote per price per linear foot. But if you add at all, they more then double the price per foot-not their original quote at all. When I found this out, it was because they didn't call me until I was already in the 'no return' window. Very shady. I don't even want to give them a one!

Alan Gott

My move was coordinated by Purple Heart. I guess they just sub contract from there. Anyway, the sub contractors that moved the furniture damaged and lost some. Purple Heart told me to file a claim with the sub contractor. They said I didn't take out insurance so there was nothing they could do. Next time I will use one of the major carriers. Also in the end the major carriers were almost as cheap anyway. Lesson learned.

caraivy74 .

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! If there was a “minus star rating” that’s what I’d put! They took my deposit and gave me the most stressful runaround, I’ve ever experienced. The communication within the company is horrible, no one knows what the last employee said, etc. They outsourced, not 1 but 2, moving companies that weren’t even near us, then one of those companies (Oasis Movers in Las Vegas) provided fake insurance docs to our building. Total joke!!! It went from them calling me off the hook to get my foot/money in the door, to not being able to speak, or get a straight story, to them. And I’m still trying to get my $3k+ deposit back from them. Thank god for credit card payments and my card helping me get the deposit back! DON’T DO IT!!! There are better companies out there!!! In the long run- I ended up with a fantastic local company that I couldn’t be happier with!

Having to move always freaks me out due to bad past experience. The distance doesn’t help either. I decided to move Purple Heart Moving Group came in to lighten my stress. Not only did they remove my stress, but they took on the responsibility all on their own. When I called them, the man on the phone seemed very friendly and eager to help. He called me back in a few hours with a very affordable quote. He even explained to me how the billing works so there would be no surprises later on. The movers arrived sharp on time and were very capable looking. All three men had years of moving experience and it showed in the way they worked around my house packing and loading all my belongings. They delivered each item of mine undamaged and I was just so happy at that point. I recommend this mover.

Salim Aljabari

Dont be fooled by the good overall review, READ before you book them My experience with purple heart have been really bad for the following reasons: - They are not actually a moving company as they advertise, they are brokers, I could have booked with the US movers "which is the company that moved my stuff" directly and saved money. - They will give you many false info before you book, once you book and pay, they know you cant cancel as you will lose money and it is too late to find a different company, they lied to me many times, and were rude about it - When I booked, I was promised that they will confirm the pick up date a week before, they confirmed 24 hours before. - they promised that my stuff will be delivered within 2-5 days window. my stuff were delivered 17 days late. I moved to a new city 6 hours driving from the original one not only they lied about it, they were very rude that it is in the contract that they can be up to 30 business day late. - they estimate your cost depending on what you provide them, they calculate higher space for the boxes, etc to be on the safe side and they tell you that when we put the boxes in the truck we recalculate, that was a lie, they did not. I would avoid them at all cost.

Janet Hazeski

I am not in the habit of writing reviews but am compelled by the atrocious experience I am in the midst of with this company. I suspect their high rating and positive reviews are fake entries from the company. They have not kept a single commitment, don't answer the phone or return calls. I have no idea where my stuff is and cannot get anyone to call me to explain or solve the problem. I think I may have to engage an attorney. Buyer Beware!

Cheryl Shewmaker

We chose Purple Heart because of their mission and our knowledge of the company. However, we had a very bad moving experience. From the beginning, the estimate process turned out to be bad. We should have gotten a call from Purple Heart a few day before the move to firm up estimate but that didn't happen. We learned that Purple Heart just contracts with small, unknown moving companies. We were told by Purple Heart that our items would remain on the truck and be delivered but that wasn't the case. They got sent to a warehouse and it took 3 weeks to get our property. When it arrived it was in bad shape - our wardrobe boxes were completely smashed, as was several dishes and clocks. If you have a nationwide move, do not use Purple Heart - You may pay more for a reliable moving company, but you get what you pay for. We will not make this mistake again.

Shawna Heisler

DO NOT USE! The only reason you don't see more negative reviews is because they offer minimal compensation in exchange for signing a non-disclosure for unhappy customers to remove the negative reviews. I declined the payment to warn others. My previous local move was $850. This distance move was estimated at $1700 and ended up nearly $4000 from Boston to Chicago because the company they brokered to demanded more money at pickup and again at delivery. They had coded all of my belongings as "damaged" in their system at pick up (yes, even my yoga mat and Christmas tree) and then dropped and dragged all of my furniture. Had I known the extent of the damages, I would've let them keep it. An insurance claim went nowhere since they had a code that I didn't recognize when I signed the documents. I also still have boxes that belong to another customer in hopes I can eventually find them. This company uses "Purple Heart" to market to military families (the reason I was sucked in). They are not actually combat-disabled affiliated.

Michael A. Pabon

I will never do business with Purple Heart again. I specifically asked the customer service representative how many days it would take my things to arrive, and they said 5-10 days. No hesitation. No additional comments. 5-10 days he assured me. He even added, "that's a good route for us, so I wouldn't be surprised if it gets there early". This was not the case. My things arrived almost 20 days later. 1 week living in an empty apartment. 2 days before starting my new job. The day they were supposed to pick up my things, I called them 3 times and left 2 voicemails as I had some questions. I never heard from them again until I called a week later to ask them how things were going. They didn't know anything about where my things were or how long they would take to arrive. I called again several times and they finally sent me an email as a reply. Terrible communication. I never received an apology or an explanation for the delay. Furthermore, the excuse that they gave was that the estimated delivery time started after the "first available delivery date (FADD)" that I specified. How does that make sense? It is called the first available DELIVERY date. If you estimate that the delivery will take 5-10 days, then you cannot start counting from the FADD, as it will never be the delivery date. Does that mean that my things were never shipped and were just sitting in storage from the day they were picked up until the FADD 10 days later? This was a cheap excuse. The subcontracted companies who picked up and delivered my things were very nice and professional. However, additional surprises (extra charges) kept popping up every time we spoke. They also almost left with my TV. Thankfully I had a list that I reviewed very quickly as they were about to drive off.

They recently moved my grandmother into her new retirement home. Josh did a fantastic job walking through what needed to be done and how to save money on my move. He was by far the most knowledgeable person I spoke to when I was trying to set up the move. No issues during the actual move. Recommended.

Britney Silver

This moving experience was the worst ever! It started out with them being so nice. My mom went over EVERYTHING in her apartment with them on the phone. The salesman on the phone giving the prices even went higher to be sure the price wouldn't be more than expected. This was a two bedroom apartment. The movers Oasis Moving and Storage came and called me to say that the price was going to be $2349 more than the original quote. By the end of the night with my mom in tears they called me to tell me it went up even more. Now it has gone up $3749 more than the original quote. The original quote was $4951. There is NO WAY IT SHOULD HAVE GONE UP THAT MUCH!!!!! In my attempt to get an explanation from them since 6-27-19 I still have no resolution. They don't return calls. I would not suggest this company to anyone!!!!

Claudino Mino Henry

Purple Heart Moving Group is the best moving company. They helped me out so much during my last move. I was busy running errands while they meticulously packed everything I own and loaded them onto their van. I received the delivery on time and believe me when I tell you that everything I own was delivered in perfect condition. I just don’t understand how is it possible for a moving company to not lose or break anything while transporting. I cannot see why you shouldn’t hire such an efficient, yet affordable, moving company.

Shellie Epperson

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! I would give zero stars if possible. I would advise you read through the many negative reviews this company has & look else where if you’re seeking a quality moving company. As many others have stated, we were grossly misquoted; expected to pay an additional $500 for a smaller shuttle to deliver our belongings (which was not needed, as our apartment accommodated the size of their vehicle).Once Purple Heart has your deposit, good luck getting any response from their customer service team. We were told to expect pickup between 8-10 AM; however, we waited until 10:00 PM before the movers actually arrived. This was a huge inconvenience, as my husband and I both had to take off work to accommodate the original time frame they gave us. Once they arrived, the guy who seemed to be in charge was extremely unprofessional and tried to rush us through signing the paperwork, RIGHT AFTER he told us that we “should have read the original contract more throughly” after we complained about the misinformation that was given to us upon hiring the company. They also informed us that we would have to pay additional fees for packing materials- though the customer service rep (Michael Robinson) told me that the way we had packed our belongings would be fine. By the time they had everything in the truck (12 AM), my husband had to jump start their truck in order to get them back on the road. After reading so many terrible reviews of this company, we are lucky to have received our belongings in about 2 weeks. I see that several people have waited up to a month, despite Purple Heart customer service reps guaranteeing “no more than 6 days”. Not to mention, several boxes that were destroyed, leaving multiple fragile items broken. It’s a shame that these people run their scam under the guise of a “family owned company”. We chose them due to their competitive rates, but once they hit you with numerous additional fees, you’re better off choosing a more credible company. I’ll be reporting Purple Heart to the BBB.

adrian duson

Worst experience. I have been trying to contact Purple Heart since they picked up our belongings. Spoke with Mercedes and Crystal who promised that I would receive a return call once the paperwork from their subcontractor was received with in 48 hours and no one ever returned my call. I called on a daily basis and only reached a recording regarding high call volume. They subcontracted our move with a company- Hometown Van Lines with terrible reviews that subcontracted our move to yet another company-Delta Moving WITHOUT informing us. Hometown added additional cu sq feet to our cost before the truck was completely loaded. They added packaging tape and fees amongst fuel fees etc. even though our contact said it was included. They refused to allow us to see inside the truck or take photos. We called the customer service line while Purple Hearts subcontractor was on site. Hometown said they would charge us more if we got on the truck to take measurements and photos. They then just left. At this point our belongings were held hostage and we were told unless we paid the inflated add on charges we would not get our belongings So we had no choice but to pay $1000 OVER our contract. No one ever called and provided a delivery date, Delta just showed up. Delta allowed us to take photos and measurements. Our inventory was less than the contracted 286 cu sq ft by 23 cu sq ft. Our boxes arrived damaged and we have not even been able to open our boxes yet to review the contents. I chose Purple Heart because they are listed as such a reputable company. AS a business owner, I understand the importance of customer service and Purple Heart has fallen extremely short in so many areas. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as well as our attorney. I am writing this review because MAYBE this will prompt Purple Heart to actually respond to my MANY MANY calls.

My husband and I are newly married and new to the Air Force. We were making our first military move from Florida to California. We were glad to book our move through Purple Heart Moving Group because of the great prices and reviews plus the awesome customer service. However, we were outsourced to another company without prior notice until the truck pulled up at the house. It’s been almost one month since our stuff was picked up and we have not been able to get any information about where our truck is. The moving company that Purple Heart Moving Group outsourced us to have refused to answer our questions and have been very rude over the phone when we call. I have been very dissatisfied with Purple Heart Moving Group for not communitcating to us prior to the truck arrival and for outsourcing to such a poor moving company.

Kasey Yaby Meyer

I hired a small-sized truck of Purple Heart to move dozens of computers from my old shop in Miami, Florida to the new one in Orlando, Florida. These guys really gave me the best services they could. They showed up on time and did the job in the best professional way. The items were loaded and unloaded with utmost care. The movers and the driver were very pleasant to go with. I will definitely use them soon again.

ZERO stars. I am a strong support of Veterans and Service members, but Purple Heart Moving destroyed or significantly damaged most of my furniture during my move. My wooden furniture, was not wrapped up - the delivery movers said it looked as if the pieces had just been throw into the truck - ad arrived broken and scratched. My new mattress was partially wrapped in a black garbage bag and is too filthy to use and must be thrown out. My bicycle is broken. Art was not even bubble wrapped and also arrived destroyed. Customer service has been very unreliable, unhelpful, and disagreeable. I had to call multiple times to find out my pick up, and they finally told me less than 4 business hours before movers were scheduled to arrive. When movers actually arrived several hours after their arrival window, customer service was unapologetic and told me the window was irrelevant. When the claims office was not available to me, they said there was nothing they could do. Purple Heart acts as if they are not responsible for the quality of my move, even though I have paid them thousands more than their initial estimate. I have never written a negative review before, but because all aspects of Purple Heart were so horrible, and because I will need to replace thousands of dollars worth of property, I feel the need to warn others.

We contacted Purple Heart in May to move our things from Miami to Ohio. The person who sold us the services said that they had their own trucks and they would deliver in 7/11 days. Once we had already hired them when the move was closer we find out they had hired a third party “ENERGY MOVING SYSTEMS” without informing us, to move our belongings. This third party has the worst reviews all over the internet. During the move our things kept getting delayed over and over and nobody seemed to care, we called multiple times and they would keep saying they were arriving that week, it finally took 29 days to deliver. When they finally got here the people bringing our things weren’t even movers, just drove the truck, so left things mostly in the living room because they didn’t know how to bring them up the stairs. Not only they lost items like our couch but they broke a new dresser, a coffee table, box spring, etc the boxes arrived like they were opened and closed again and in terrible conditions. Now I’m trying to talk to Purple Heart to get things reimbursed and they say they don’t know why we call them when they didn’t pick up the things. They don’t seem to care we signed a contract with them. Energy moving system doesn’t know were our file is either so this is terrible. I have moved several times for work, from spain to the US from California to TX, TX to miami etc and this is the WORST MOVE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. The customer service is terrible and I also don’t like to be sold on something that is not true. I would give -5 stars if I could.

Worst moving experience ever! We were moving furniture from Palm Springs CA to Portland Or. They seemed pleasant and professional when I got a quote from them. I received 3 quotes altogether and they were the least expensive. They charge an administrative fee of $1,200 which is due at time of booking, then charge per cubic foot, total original quote was $2,400. Two different times I went over dimensions of furniture and described all furniture and packing needs. I was reassured by the coordinator that the c.f. Was overestimated and therefore would not be charged more money. On moving day the 2 man movers showed up and instantly claimed we owed another $810 for the exact items that was previously quoted. His explanation was that the furniture creates air voids that I am responsible for. Also he said they under bid to get work. I would not sign for the extra $810 so they left. I called Purple Heart and they said it is my responsibility to work out with movers that they were out of the negotiations, also they told me that I could not get my deposit back. So they sent another mover out next day and they wanted an extra $300. We ended up caving and paid the extra, because we were running out of time for the move. They picked up items and we told them we wanted delivery on the following Monday. The movers said should not be a problem. So we drove to Portland and arrived Sunday night and called movers on Monday. They said items were still in California and that the latest arrival would be Thursday. I was furious, what was I paying for with the admin fee? Finally we received the furniture on Wednesday but we had to stay in hotel for 2 extra days. This company offers no services and total rip off.

Well well well where do I start? First lets start off with my moving coordinator. He had me sketch at first when getting ton the phone line with him but after that he notified me that my wife and I would have to speak with someone to verify. So we had to wait for them to call us and go over our file to make sure all the information was correct. We spoke with one of the ladies in customer service and thumbs up to her for doing her job so efficiently. We were called to get pickup info and the movers arrived hour late and said it was a delay at first we were a little bothered but understand traffic is something we cant control. They packed us up and then we were told 3-10 business days and we were delivered within that time frame and we were happy with the services they provided to us. Good job!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure they do a physical inventory of your goods because they will absolutely short you on the cost and then when they find a company to move your stuff charge you more. I was charged 900 more than the quote and argued that were way off I was ignored you use them expect your bill to be higher and when talking to them the first time they have you believe in them. I'm going to mention my personal feelings and hope you recognize it. The name makes you feel for the emotions that go with it. Step back and take the name Purple Heart as a scam to tug on your emotions.

My elderly mother recently used Purple Heart and was surprised to learn that they had subcontracted out her move - the subcontractor charged her an additional $1500.00 over the quote she had received from Purple Heart and although she arrived at her new destination on June 16, 2019, her stuff has yet to arrive and the date of arrival has been once again delayed to perhaps as late as August 2nd. She is 79 years old and we are very disappointed that she has been treated this way. It certainly has not been a good experience for her.

Although they are only a brokerage, i.e. they hire out subs, they work very hard to make sure that you are happy with your moving experience. The movers I had were really bad and there was a lot of damage and a lot of headache, but purple heart was really awesome through the whole thing. Make sure you don't get booked with Logistic Van Lines, but Purple Heart is totally worth your time.

Jason Price

Be very leery of this company. They are NOT a moving company, they are solely a booking company. I hired them because they were rated online as a top moving company in the country. I genuinely expected that the moving trucks would have "Purple Heart" written on them. I was shocked on the day of the move when the movers who showed up were a company I had never heard of and used rented Enterprise trucks. All Purple Heart did was pass me from person to person, each time stating that this person would be with me for the remainder of the move. I was provided misinformation throughout process, including the pick up day. We were initially told that pick up would occur on a Monday, but on the preceding Saturday night we received a call at ~9:00 pm stating that pick up would be the next day. You can imagine our panic! Then nobody showed up on Sunday and we were told that an error had been made. The name of the company to whom the money orders needed to be given was also provided incorrectly by Purple Heart and I had to exchange the money orders. My best advice is find a reputable moving company and deal with them directly.

Jackey Lin

I wish i could give them zero star!!! They, being a broker is not an issue, as we use different type of brokers through our life, however, THIS BROKER IS A SCAM!! Besides hiring low-quality outside movers, they also hires marketing company to boost up their ratings which is why they overcharges everything they do. They call you when they need to collect money, other than that, your moving journey is entirely based on luck! They say they will call you back, give you refunds, or fix the problems. THEY NEVER KEEP PROMISES AND THEY NEVER WILL. They DO NOT deserve the name “Purple Heart”, they are a whole bunch of BS working together to provide you the worst experience you could ever imagine.

Ronald Hinton

Despite the fact that I had been a good client to this company, so long as shifting is concerned, I had not published any critique related to my activities with them on any platform. The organization has proved helpful for me personally on …

I signed up with Purple Heart after reading the great reviews and ratings and it was an experience that I would like to forget as moving was a complete disaster. DO NOT USE THEM for long distance moves as they are merely a broker. Initially, I gave them a honest appraisal of my items from a 1 BR in NYC for a move to FL, and was given an estimate. The estimate was confirmed again a few days before moving date, and I was told multiple times by Purple Heart that the amount due during pick up would be half of the initial estimate. Well the estimate given was way under, an additional $1600+ was due. Since Purple Heart is just a broker in this, I had to deal with a terrible moving company based in NJ that would not honor anything that was previously agreed to, and had to fork over the additional $1600 on the spot instead of what should have been around $800 (half of the original estimate). Purple Heart said I could use my credit card for that payment, another lie. Did not happen. Moving can be extremely stressful, and the lack of customer support was disheartening. This wasn't the first time I moved long distances. I have actually moved cross country twice from NY to LA, and back. The estimates given were fairly accurate and there were no surprise charges. Those moves were a piece of cake with little stress. Another issue I had is the moving company stated during pick up that I could have my stuff moved into the storage facility within the week, and then they forced me to take my items earlier than expected. I was driving down from NY, and had to wake up at 4am in Jacksonville to get to Tampa on time to be ready for my items. This was another haggle with Purple Heart and the moving company, and they wanted to make out like they were doing me a favor. If you tell me items can be delivered within a certain window, don't give me a drop dead date that I must accept these items by. Lastly, I made my complaints known to Purple Heart, and those concerns were completely ignored. I will never use them again, and highly suggest if you use them, make sure it's local.

The only reason I'm giving them a one is because you can't give anyone a Zero. I hired Purple heart Moving Co because I trusted the sales person was giving me the correct information. I listed the furniture in my home and they gave me the cubic footage. I asked multiple times if this was going to be a big truck and I was assured it would be a "big truck". In my mind, " a big truck"; is a tractor trailer. I paid $1,700 down and the day of the move came. After not receiving a call from the company Purple Heart Moving subcontracted the job too. The moving company arrived almost 2 hours late with a 26' van and one person. I asked the driver if anyone else was coming to help him and he explained that 2-3 day laborers were on the way when they got stopped by the police and were detained for being illegal. I was assured by the project manager from Purple Heart the guys coming in my house were bonded and a background check had been done. When I contacted purple Heart I was told that if I didn't want the truck I could cancel the order but I would loose the $1700 dollar deposit. The supervisor said I should not have signed the agreement if I didn't know what I was signing concerning the cubic footage. I explained to her it was there mistake because they used an "approved DOT software" to determine cubic footage. Long story short, after getting no where with their customer service I cancelled the contract and hired another company to move me. And, oh; by the way it took 3 - 26' trucks to move all our stuff. These people took the name of something that is honored in this country, the name "Purple Heart" and made it into something that has "no honor". I will keep posting this every 2-3 weeks until their management reaches out to me. Please make sure you know what you are signing before you put your name on a contract with these people. * Complaint is being filed with the BBB and the Attorney Generals Office*

I used Purple Heart Moving Group to move from Dallas, TX to Jensen Beach, FL. I had a lot going on with work and switching locations, I knew there was no way I would have time to do this myself. I had no idea where to start and what I needed to do to get this done. I started researching companies, and Purple Heart Moving Group looked great and I really liked that they donate to veteran associations. I called Purple Heart Moving Group and they set me up with a moving coordinator to help me through the process. He answered all of my questions and helped me out with everything I needed to get this done without needing to lift a finger. They even helped me set up transportation for my car last minute, which was a HUGE relief. Before I moved, bought an entirely new bedroom set that they were able to add onto my estimate before moving day. Their customer service department was extremely helpful and made sure that I knew when the movers would arrive for my move day. I chose to have the moving crew pack all of my items for me, and I was not disappointed. On move day, the crew showed up and had me walk them through what I needed for certain items and then got straight to work. I stayed for the first hour and saw that each mover was taking their time packing and wrapping all of my furniture and miscellaneous items, making sure that everything was secured and protected. They were very respectful towards my house and my goods, taking care of everything as if it was their own. I decided to leave and go get a few hours in at work while they worked at my house. I came back a few hours later and they were finishing up packing everything up. The started loading everything into the truck, and while watching them I knew there was no way I could have packed everything up myself as efficiently as they did. Once they were done loading everything onto the truck the driver provided me with his contact information in case I needed to get in touch with him. He let me know that they were planning on getting to Florida in about 4-5 days. I had just landed in Florida, and I received a call saying that my delivery would be in 2 days, which ended up being right on track. Before delivery I got a call from my driver letting me know when they would be arriving the next day. When they got there, the crew carefully unloaded everything and placed everything in the rooms I wanted them in. They even went through an inventory list with me as they unloaded so I could make sure that everything was accounted for. Once they were done they started putting all of my furniture back together and had me go through everything to make sure everything was how I wanted it. This move would have been a pain and way too time-consuming for me to complete on my own, I definitely do not regret handing over the reins to Purple Heart Moving Group!

Purple heart moving group is actually packed with professionals. Every process was swift and smooth. They didn't waste time responding to our mail and later called us for confirmation. On the delivery day, they arrived early and offloaded our items with great care....Wonderful.

Moumita Saha

Rude people sitting on the customer service. They are brokers, so they actually charge you for giving another moving company’s contact to you. Wrong billing with high charges and no refund for the same. You have to wait 30 business days to get your stuffs! Good luck booking these people !

Moving is already a stressful ordeal, and Purple Heart Moving Group only escalated the stress. Make sure you read the contract very carefully because the drivers are not a part of the company and they do not know what the contract entails. They are not movers, they hire other movers to do the pick ups and drop offs. The first driver texted me the day before my pickup day, with no name stating that he will be there at 9am. When he showed up, he could not enter my complex because he brought an 18- wheeler… for a one bed/one bath apartment move. This man tried to charge me $1750 on top of the payment in the contract. He said the fees were for the stairs (which I had mentioned and were already included), different truck that can fit inside the complex, and the cubic feet was more than they expected. He “bargained down” to $900. He became angry when I called customer service to let them know he was trying to raise the price (which is what you are supposed to do per the contract). Customer service did the correct thing and sent him away, but even after they said he could go he was still texting me about doing it for $800 more. I called Mercedes and she sent two different drivers the next day, and they were professional and efficient. So that was one thing that went right. They picked up my things on a Sunday and did not tell me when they were delivering it until the day before. It took 8 days for a Pensacola to Tampa Florida move. By this time, I am calling trying to figure out my delivery date every single day, with no one telling me anything exact. I tried calling Mercedes who had helped me previously, and Josh who helped set up the initial contract. Neither spoke to me. I ended up speaking with Samantha, who was informative. I finally got it straightened out with Crystal, and the same driver who picked my things up dropped them off. When I started opening some of my boxes, I soon realized that some of my items were broken. Coffee mugs, wine glasses and other glassware was broken and little pieces of glass were at the bottom of my boxes. This company has so many people working in it, and each person I spoke with gave me different information. There appears to be zero communication within the company and all the dates and times are “up in the air”. I felt like I was being scammed. They charged what seemed to be a fair price only to extend the move altogether and trying to tack on additional fees. This whole experience was frustrating and unsettling. I will definitely never use this company again, nor will I recommend it to anyone else. I would have felt more comfortable with a moving company that had the same people estimating my things, picking them up and delivering. This contracting business is not worth the stress and aggravation.

Beriah

I can honestly say that this was the smoothest and fastest move ever. They managed to clear a 1200 square foot apartment and bring everything into a 3 store in 4hours!! The guys didn’t make any scratches on the furniture nor on the walls. They were absolutely professional and shined with great work ethics.

My aunt and uncle moved from Brooklyn to FL nearly 2 weeks ago and they are still waiting for their stuff to be delivered. They were told it would arrive around Wednesday August 14- Thursday August 15. When they booked through Purple Heart they weren't aware that the movers are subcontracted. After many calls to get answers to where their belongings were they are told that the stuff hadn't even left NY yet and was still in a warehouse. Their belongings weren't leaving till Saturday August 17th with expected delivery of Thursday August 22nd. Today they received a call from the driver stating they will not be arriving now till Sunday August 25th due to truck issues. My aunt has been stressed out and upset over this whole ordeal. They have not been able to settle into their new home due to this issue. They have had to spend money each day eating out since they can't cook without their kitchen pots which are all in the moving truck. NO ONE should have to wait this long for their belongings from a moving company that has over charged them at every turn. There is still a balance to be paid that they will NOT pay to this moving company. They have already paid over $2,000 to the moving company. Does Purple Heart not vet the companies they subcontract? This entire ordeal has been stressful on my aunt. It was hard enough leaving the only state she's ever known but now she hasn't even been able to enjoy her new home. I do not recommend Purple Heart and am deeply disappointed in how they handle things.

I had a fabulous experience with Purple Heart Moving Group. From the initial point of filling out their form online to them delivering our items, it was a steady ride the whole way. The staff on the phone walked my hubby and I through the quote and how the rest of the adventure would be handled. We had known the transit was on its way and were able to pack up rooms but needed help moving heavy furniture and our large appliances (don't have friends or family in the new location). The movers were on time, handled our properties with care and delivered without damage. I can say they were the best, easiest part of our move. Didn't break the bank or our backs! I would not only use Purple Heart Movers again, but I would recommend to my family and friends

Sara Holt

They carefully wrapped the piano & transported it to it's new home. We are so happy with the professional work & the price was very reasonable. Do not hesitate to hire this great company no matter how large or small your job is. Thank you Purple Heart Moving Group!!!

Sara Chinnaswamy

This company is absolutely horrible. They showed up 3 days late, could not tell us where they were storing our items and could not give us a timeline of when they would deliver our items. When they finally gave us a date, they ended up showing up a week and a half later. When they arrived, most of our furniture was either lost or extremely damaged. They lost an entire headboard to our bed and couldn’t tell us what happened to it. The customer service is horrendous and nobody knows what is going on. We ended up having almost $4,000 in damage and lost items. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You are better off paying more for a reputable company.

Don’t be lured in by the company name - RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN! As mentioned in other reviews, Purple Heart Moving Group is not a moving company but rather a third party that collects its fee while drastically underestimating your load size and weight in order to book your move through them. Their deceptive business model preys on relocating families who have limited calendar flexibility. While held over a barrel (with movers waiting in their driveway, flights to catch and home closings to attend), these families are often asked to pay double the amount of their initial estimate. Because their options are so limited, many families end up succumbing to the scam and paying the increased fees. My personal interaction with Purple Heart directly mirrored the experiences of so many other disgruntled customers. The load dimensions for our move, as estimated by the actual movers, was 70% larger than the estimate provided by Purple Heart. Making contact with Purple Heart on moving day to dispute the huge increase was difficult at best. Once contact was made, no one was willing to take accountability for their profoundly inaccurate estimate. After an hour on the phone with no reasonable resolution reached, I put Purple Heart on hold and made arrangements with a legitimate moving company for my family’s move. I then politely asked the movers to leave, thereby cancelling my contract with Purple Heart. Since Purple Heart Moving Group provided absolutely no value to me, and their fraudulent estimate voided our contract, I requested a full refund of my deposit, which they denied, citing that the deposit was non-refundable. Therefore I’ve enlisted the support of the Better Business Bureau of Southern Florida and my credit card company in effort to recover my deposit. Please don’t make the same mistake that I made along with so many others! Book your move directly with a legitimate moving company.

Rebecca McGonigal

If you want a low stress move RUN, RUN, RUN as far away from Purple Heart as you can get. I could write more than you would want to read about the horrors of my move but instead I’ll tell you what I learned. Never hire a broker. No matter what they tell you PH is a broker NOT a moving company. Always hire a moving company that does a walk through to provide an estimate. PH bases their estimate on a phone interview. The estimate that PH gives you is highly likely to be an under estimate and the charges increase all along the way. Never hire a company that demands cash only. Never hire a company that will not set a specific date and time for your move. Examine ratings and reviews from many sources.

Justine Sherman

Never delivered!! Gave my belongings to scammers who have taken possession of my stuff and are not delivering it. Purple Heart has not assisted me or pushed them to deliver my belongings. I'm afraid I'll never see my stuff again, it's been months. They also broke my contract, movers didn't even show to pick up my items on the signed date. They have taken no responsibility nor have they been accountable for their errors, empty promises, or that fact that they've given my belonging to thieves.

Kippers Ma

We were moved from NW Washington to Central Florida. The packers (Valiant Movers) were fantastic! Nearly everything came in perfect condition. We did have a few items broken, but considering the distance and time involved, we felt pleased that the breakage was minor. We were also happy that nothing was lost! Great moving company and great communication kept us aware of everything.

Rachel Birdsong

This company is a SHAM. Don't trust them. There's no point in describing my experience because it was the EXACT same experience as every one star review on this site. They are a joke of a company and if you have issues they screen your phone calls. I worked with Trevor Swan who was immediately available as I was booking my move, but the minute i started having problems, he wouldn't answer the phone. (but he did pick up when i had someone call from a different number.) Neither did his quality assurance manager Michael Robinson, I might also add. I will say it again, DO NOT TRUST THEM.

Jonah Abrev

Purple Heart Moving Group is awesome! I needed a mover quickly and they were able to fit me in at the last minute. They were on time and very attentive. They accommodated all of our needs and wrapped our furniture properly. They transported everything safely. I’ve moved many times and this was the best company I have ever used. I highly recommend them.

Christine Dasalla

This company was such a big help moving me out of state from California to Oregon. They were very helpful with any questions I had and listened to any instructions on how I wanted things moved. Moving is stressful and this company took a lot of stress away. They were thorough with what and how they were going to move thing as well as prices. They’re very affordable one reason why I went with them. I was a little skeptical about going with them because of some of the reviews but I am glad I did. If you’re looking for a moving company that does state-to-state, Purple Heart Moving Group is a great company. Very pleased with them and I will use them again if I ever have to do a big move again.

I found out about this company from when a friend who recommended them very highly. Now I know why - they are one of the most professional businesses in the industry. Every team member is great at his job and their service is close to excellent in every regard. Strongly recommended.

This place is a scam. Do not use them. All they want is your deposit. Once they get it they dont care if the third party moving company tries to up the price on you. If you refuse to pay the moving company Purple Heart says that you refused service and that they will keep your deposit. They say you have 5 days before the moving company gets there to refund your money. Problem is that Purple Heart doesn't tell you the movers are coming till about 2 to 3 days before the moving company shows up. That is how they get you. Purple Heart is not a moving company. They are a broker. They contract out to third party moving companies that no one wants to use because they are shady and try to rip you off. If you call Purple Heart to tell them you want matters resolved they ignore you and dont return your calls. They actually screen your calls. If they know you are a customer that got ripped off by them they wont take your calls. This company has been reported to BBB and they have hundreds of hundreds of complaints against them. When I talked to Nick ( salesman) about the problems he literally shouted over me and would not let me talk. He told me it's not his problem and to contact customer service. It was his bid that was completely wrong and put wrong information on our contract. We are looking into filing a class action law suit against this company. Am sure there will be plenty of other ripped off customers that will line up. Just read all the reviews for yourself. Same MO they do to everyone. Dont use this scam company.

My wife and I wanted to move to our newly bought house near to my office in Miami. For that, we had hired Purple Heart. At first, I visited their website. At the Moving Price Calculator field in the website, I put all the specification of my name, zip code of location, size of move etc. Within few hours they calculated the price and send it to my email, which was pretty reasonable for us. On the moving day, my wife and I were very happy to see the way Purple Heart Team helped us move our precious belongings, furniture and white goods. They wrapped the essential and expensive items properly and boxed them to handle with care. The truck driver John was also an expert to reach the destination on time. When they reached our new home, they quickly started unloading our belongings. They were too good that they helped us setting and organizing the heavyweight furniture at the right place. We highly recommend this movers and will call them again if I need further relocation.

A L Smith

What ever you do, avoid these people like the plague. They will subcontract to another company who operate by a totally different set of expectations than those you discussed and agreed to on the initial phone contact. The customer service person who claims to be handling your case is either not available or doesn't return calls. In all the moves made during 44 years of traveling, this is absolutely the worst experience ever.

PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY. Interstate move from Indiana to Massachusetts Initially they offer you a lowered than market rate for you to take the bait AND gave false promise on delivery date. Took half of the deposit for nothing. Contracted the job to American Relocation Home, which is absolutely horrible. Pickup driver charged $1000 more for a couple more large U-Haul boxes, lured me into signing my actual delivery date to the "First available delivery date", which was later on explained by Purple Heart Moving that it is the first day my shipment will be in transit. LIES! It took them more than a week to ship a one-bedroom apartment from IN to MA and I still have not received my items. Delivery driver kept false promising me delivery date. I had to reschedule back and forth between work and the new building for the move-in, and now I have to pay fines to my building because "there was no record of me telling them the move-in has to be before 6 PM". TL;DR: do not book with this company. Just go on Uship where there is user protection. Purple Heart Moving is a scam.

Benjamin Barney

The agent visited my house and in his quiet manner and hilarious approach allow me to understand what required. He moreover was very clear concerning the task with and without the need for extra supplies. They calculated extremely close. The movers loaded swiftly, diligently certainly nothing got destroyed! They moved all my stuff without having difficulty. They placed cartons and furniture the place where I needed. The team gave the impression to be not like any movers I had used in the past, considering that these guys were highly experienced. I seriously cannot think about a more smooth mover I have come across. I will under no circumstances move again without these guys!! Not only were they wonderful and considerate, in addition, they cared for my pets! What specifically could perhaps one look for? They really provided the services I needed.

As my partner and I were planning a move to a new state, we wanted to hire a company that wouldn't break the bank. After talking to the Purple Heart rep, we thought we had found a good deal with a reputable company, as their bid came in under the others' by a good $600. We were very wrong. Purple Heart is a broker company, which means they don't do the moving, they hire out the jobs. Eagle Eye Moving from St. Louis was hired to do our move. Things didn't start well when they showed up a day later than they told us with no advanced notice that they'd be late. We both missed work because we were waiting with our stuff the day they said they'd be arriving. We had to take off the next day too, when they finally showed up. When the movers looked over our items, they informed us the price would likely be way more than they quoted us initially. We had agreed with their office manager that we'd pay by card, and then the mover told us we'd need a check or cash for half of the bill the day they drop off our stuff (more than $2,000). We felt surprised since we had already been told card payment would work. They grudgingly agreed (again!) to let us use a card. The communication from the movers was again terrible the day they were supposed to drop off our stuff. They again arrived a day later than they said, with no updates until we reached out. And then as they unloaded our stuff, several boxes were destroyed and literally fell apart when they carried them in because there was a leak in their truck. As we went to pay, we were told they were adding a 3% card transaction fee -- never mentioned beforehand! We insisted that they gave us no advanced warning about that and again, grudgingly, they agreed to drop the credit card fee. Awful experience. Avoid Purple Heart. Avoid Eagle Eye Movers. It'll save you a ton of money, stress, and grief.

Had missing and damaged items from the move. Unprofessional help. Quote was way off and was straight lied to. And then when I contacted them about the missing & damaged items, they referred me to another 3rd party that hasn't responded to my emails in over a month. Purple Heart Moving Group just said its out of their hands and stopped responding to me emails. Also we got some other poor person's family photos and other keep sakes and I can't even reach anyone trying to get this back to them. Only way I could be more disappointed with them is if my entire move was lost/missing/stolen.

very poor service from them. They have nothing g to do the US. service. Amir was my contact person, had to understand as he doesn't speak English very well. Lied about my delivery date, they never weighted my furniture,. They jammed all my furniture in a rented truck and of course thi vs were broken. Spoke Spanish and English-language so fast you couldn't understand him. Very poor company, be afraid of them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE THE WORST CROOKED. I spoke to Trevor. I told him that we are moving from NY to FL. We will need to put ut furnitures in storage. He told me we called the right place. Purple Heart have their own storage and they are local in Delray Beach. He rush me to pay him deposit to secure the discount and because their truck coming to NY. Wow.. talked about professional liar and crooked. That was just the beginning of my nightmare. I told Trevor I have big furnitures. He repeatedly told me to don't worry. They don't care, DO NOT even bother using them. From $7800 we ended up with almost $20,000 because... there are no Purple Heart. They sub out to cheappy and worser crooked moving company. I have been moving cross country so many time and always using big company. This time, because of storage and I don't know FL. I decided to used local. BIGGEST MISTAKED. Now, they told me my storage will cost me $2600 a month. We put 15 crate in room temperature control for $800 a month in CA. UNBELIEVABLE!!! our furnitures still in NEW JERSEY with another sleazy moving company. Stay away. Worthest to use Allied moving and all other big name. Purple Heart didn't send anyone to the house to give estimate. MY BIGGEST MISTAke and now it cost a big fortune. I want them to dump everything we have and don't want to see any of it again.

Please beware! I wish I had read the reviews instead of just seeing this star rating. I am not sure where to begin but this has been a HORRIBLE experience with Purple Heart and the company they contract with which we were not told they use another company. 1. Was told that they over quoted us and that it will not be more. - lie, at pick up we were told it would be $1,000 more! 2. Told us we would be credited for the bulk fee and the amount would go down since we sold our workout equipment after signing the contract. - lie, the price went up because Purple Heart didn’t quote us right! 3. Was told that delivery would be between 2-10 days of first available date. - lie, the company they contract with said they have 2-21 days and that it doesn’t matter what Purple Heart told us. We just got our furniture after 15 business days of waiting, total of 3 weeks! 4. Was told that someone would call me 48 hours before pick up to notify me. - lie, I had to keep calling them and received horrible service from their customer service rep. I was told they didn’t know when the pick up would be, then told later that day that they would be there the next day from 8-10, took off work and then the next day they didn’t show until 4:30 in the afternoon. 5. Called customer service to complain about the fact that the contractors are telling me conflicting stories on when they can drop off the equipment and the same customer service agent told me to stop calling them excessively because they have no news. I did ask to have a manager call me back and NO ONE called me back. 6. No matter what number you call it gets routed to the same person. We called on Monday and she told us she would call us back and never did. I have been in customer services for over 15 years and this company should be ashamed of how they interact with their customers. We paid 7k to have our stuff moved and you would think we would be treated differently. The only positive is when the people came to drop the stuff off they were very understanding and apologetic. I feel bad that they probably get treated badly by customers for how the corporate offices treat the customer in the first place.

Warning: Don’t use this company. Save yourself the pain. They will give you a low quote to sell the service. Then, they will charge you much more when the truck is half loaded up. They will set up a moving date and won’t be there to pick it up. They will set a delivery date and won’t deliver it as expected. Costumer service is disrespectful. It is a tremendous hassle. Consider yourself warned: this company is so bad it should be taken out of business.

Daniel Caraviello

They will outsource your move to other companies and good luck communicating or getting your stuff on time. 2 months without my things and counting.

Eric M

I'd rate zero stars if I could. This place is a den of thieves. Absolutely horrible and unjust practices.

Benjamin Loonard

Very professional. The employees were incredibly nice good people. I had forgotten to give them something that needed to be shipped, and they were willing to turn around and drive all the way back for it with a smile. Companies like this one renew my faith in mankind.

daniel binelli

1) Extremely rude and disgustingly mean to the customer over the phone. 2) They do not give an accurate timeframe of when your belongings will be delivered, and they get very angry when you ask. 3) A good amount of my furniture and sentimental items were destroyed. 4) My Xbox, multiple other boxes, and expensive clothes are still missing. 5) They do not try to help you, nor do they return your phone calls.

Autumn Courtney

This company is absolutely horrible!!!! I read a few good reviews but now I am seeing the real truth. Search a little bit harder and you will find the most recent reviews stating how horrible they are. I am waiting on furniture they have no idea where it is. Said they tried to call the carrier and they aren’t answering and will try later in the day!?? You have to be kidding you do not know where my items are?? Then as I was speaking with the rep she kept putting me on hold saying it was a mistake. I have tried to reach out to other company reps with no luck or communication. All I hear is they will get back to me. How does a company not have any idea where my belongings are? Also the moving company showed up with 1 person to do the move and it took 10 hours. I am absolutely terrified to see what shape my items arrive in. I was also told like many other reviewers... My fee will be more due to “bulky” furniture. I do not have “bulky” or oversized furniture. I had to pay 2800 more when signing up for the move I was told it would be 20% less then the quote. If I do not hear anything today I will contact the authorities for stolen furniture. This is absolutely outrageous. My husband and I have done military moves and NEVER dealt with this. Purple Heart should be ashamed they use the name they do to falsely show support for the military. They use it bc consumers will assume... Right or wrong that the company would run on a higher level of integrity... Instead it’s a front to gain trust falsely.... I was an idiot to ever be so naive. This is just the beginning I can’t even wait to write more if I ever get my furniture...

Purple Heart Moving Group did an excellent job with our move from New York to Virginia. The movers arrived right on time and we were very impressed with how quickly they filled up the truck. Nothing was damaged and the move into our new residence was just as fast. The pricing was competitive and I'm happy that they helped us figure out how to save money on moving materials.

Other than the main mover, Jessie, being a very nice, hard working person, this company is terrible. They came understaffed, and after working 6 hours myself, with Jessie and another person who was a day hire (someone else showed a few hours later), we finished at 6 pm. I was not informed of any options on the insurance. I was told that I was covered to $20,000. Not $ 0.60 on the pound. When you have a smashed Lladro that weighs 3 pounds, you're getting nothing back for it. I was not offered any other kind of insurance, and had never moved a house of worth prior to this move, so didn't know better. The customer service women were the nastiest people I have ever spoken to on the phone. IF they answered (they never called back) they were rude. Even telling me they doubted I needed to work, to get my move done. I was ignored, snapped at, and dismissed. DO NOT HIRE THIS GROUP

Sekar M

Please don't ever use this company for shipping your things. 3 months back i moved from Missouri to California. i used this company for moving my things. During shipment they lost my 2 card board boxes and broke my TV stand. when i inquire …

First off - I've never left a negative review for a company online - Never! This company uses the good name of the a distinguished military award for those who get wounded in action and provides no service value. Moving is stressful enough. They failed to deliver on getting a car shipped and our original quote of $7,800 went up to over $20,000. Our stuff was supposed to be delivered one week ago. Please stay far away - the negative reviews are true - every bad experience that we could have had - we have. Go direct to a moving company and do not use this broker - absolutely zero accountability to the companies they sell their contracts to.

Cathy H

The best movers I've ever used. All our furniture and fragile stuff was expertly packed and carefully handled. They were hard working, efficient, honest and super nice. SO glad I called Purple Heart Moving Group for my move. The entire process was seamless.

Andrea Contigiani

I moved from Pennsylvania to Ohio in mid-June with Purple Heart Moving Group. It was an extraordinarily painful experience, well below my expectations given how they had described the process on the phone prior to booking and given the price I ultimately had to pay. The moving process was unpleasant for a variety of reasons. First -- while I booked and made the first payment very early (over 3 months ago) in order to secure my preferred moving date, they only let me know the actual pickup date 48 hours before pickup. Second -- when I reserved on the phone, I had clearly made the point that I had constraints in terms of pickup time. They had explicitly mentioned that they would do their best to accommodate my preferences (i.e. Monday June 10th AFTERNOON). Instead, all of a sudden, 48 hours before pickup, they tell me the pickup could only be Monday MORNING or Sunday MORNING. Both times were problematic for me. In the end, I was essentially forced to do Sunday morning, which was a very difficult time for me. Third – the delivery time was incredibly hard to organize. When the movers came to pick up on Sunday 6/10, they said somebody would call me on 6/11 or 6/12 to let me know the exact delivery date. By 6/12 I had heard nothing from nobody. Only after I tried calling Purple Heart several times, their representative finally answered and said that the movers would come Friday or Saturday, and they would call me on Thursday to give me the final details. As expected, nobody called on Thursday. After I called Purple Heart several times again, their representative let me know that the movers would reach out on Friday to let me know the delivery date. They finally reached out on Friday night and let me know they would come on Saturday or Sunday. They ended up coming on Sunday morning. Fourth – to make sure I was present in case they would come on Friday -- per their suggestion on the phone on Tuesday -- I left my old home on Thursday morning. Leaving on Thursday turned out to be completely unnecessary -- in fact, the movers ended up coming on Sunday morning. I got to my new home on Friday morning, and had to sleep on the floor for 2 nights, because my bed was with the movers. Fifth – the movers charged me a variety of extra fees both at pickup and delivery. What is frustrating is that Purple Heart NEVER mentioned those fees on the phone. I ended up paying 4141$, which is 1680$ more than what they had initially estimated (2461$). If we include tips for the movers, I paid 2030$ more than what Purple Heart had initially estimated. I find completely unacceptable that the initial estimate was so different from the final price. Further, this price is completely inappropriate given the extremely poor service they offered. Sixth – to add to the numerous inconveniences, their customer service is the poorest I have found in many years. It was always extremely hard to get somebody on the phone. Each time I would have to speak to a different person: it was never clear who managed my reservation. Many times I was re-routed to empty lines and waited on the phone for several minutes with nobody picking up. The few times that somebody picked the phone up or answered my emails, they were -- with just few exceptions – also quite rude. Seventh – they never mentioned that they are NOT a moving company, they are a broker. This information should have been provided transparently early on -- it would have affected my choice. I find hiding this information very unethical. Eight – after the process was completed, I reached out to them to make a formal complaint, providing all the information above. They completely ignore my email. Nobody even replied to apologize. Concluding, this moving experience was by far the worst I have had in many years. If I knew the way they work, I would have NEVER chosen this company. I highly recommend NOT to choose this company for any moving.

I had the best move of my life! This company was the one which moved me cross country and they did a magnificent job. They were in and out very quickly! They moved all my possessions with care and respect. They delivered on time and their customer service always kept me informed. After they arrived, they placed my things in the rooms I wanted and waited for me to check everything. I found no damages and no dents! It was a very good move indeed! I highly recommend them to all.

Bill Bent Austine

Very friendly office staff and movers. Have recommended to friends and they agree that Purple Heart Moving Group were great to work with. I will keep using this mover because of its outstanding performance.

Omer Khokhar

This is a broker company- which means they hire another company to move your stuff. There is a lot that is lost in communication and guess who is stuck in the middle of it all- YOU- as the customer. Avoid if you can!

larry green

Moving is stressful in itself so this was one of my hardest decisions to do was hire someone to move my goods across the country.Purple heart helped me out and literally took a heavy load off of my shoulders. Thank you Purple Heart for such wonderful service!

Lavender Totti

It was an awesome experience. I mean, where else could you find a company that offers transport services for such a fair price like Purple Heart Moving Group? Customer service was great and they informed me every step of the way. The delivery staff too, they delivered the goods way before time. I would recommend anyone, Purple Heart Moving Group are the best.

Linda Belanger

From start to finish I was very pleased with each person I was in contact with, first with Jared and who helped me via telephone, it was painless, I told him what I was moving and he was able to provide me a quote. Then I was pleased with the drivers that showed up to pick up my items and also the drivers that delivered my items. They disassembled my furniture upon pick up and reassembled my furniture upon delivery. I would highly recommend Purple Heart Moving Group to anyone that is considering a long haul.

Jay Michael

Horrible company. All they do is sub contract their work. They cant seem to even sub it out correctly! US movers and purple heart movers are scam artists! DO NOT USE!

PLEASE KNOW A COUPLE THINGS BEFORE YOU USE THIS COMPANY. I contracted with Purple Heart to move my son from Southern California to Florida. I thought I was contracting with Purple Heart, but found out after I paid the deposit, that they subcontract to another mover. I also thought that by specifically inputting the # of boxes, moving items, etc, this would be the correct amount. First of all, we found out a few days before the move, the name of the moving company. I Googled the company and found out they have a history of the mover showing up and demanding over 30% more than the agreed upon 50% of the balance. I emailed purple heart to discuss my worries about the pick up because of the many negative postings. No one would return my call or emails. As we suspected, the mover showed up after banking hours, looked around for less than 20 seconds and declared there were move cu ft than agreed upon. I knew this to be false because we were not even moving a kitchen table and 2 outside chairs that were on the quote. Only 2 additional medium boxes were taken with the pick up, and not the kitchen table, 4 chairs and 2 outside chairs (listed on the quote, but we had sold in advance). He demanded my son drive to an atm and pull out an additional $650, with no proof and no time to accurately determine that after 30 seconds arrival. He also demanded my son drive to a store and purchase more tools for him - that he had forgotten at his last job. No one at Purple Heart was available to mitigate. After many calls, someone answered. They were rude and unhelpful until I threatened to report them to the transportation board. They finally agreed to waive the additional fee until the destination unloading and fairly determining if there was additional items/space than on the quote. Also, I found out from the moving company, that it is not the 10-14 days Purple Heart told me. They didn't even leave CA until 5 days after the move and have told me that they have 21 days to delivery. They also said I will be lucky to get 24 hours notice and they can come at any time. My son requires 48 hours notice for his high rise condo complex and they cannot come after 5pm. They have threatened to charge me an extra $500 if he arrives after 5pm and has to wait until the morning. I deal in logistics for a living - wine shipping - and none of the truckers I deal with say this is a legitimate argument. No one from Purple Heart has returned my calls or emails, so there was no point in dealing through them. My whole family has served in the military and I thought honor was going to be paramount to this company. They do not have honor or honesty and this whole move has been so stressful. It isn't over, and the other moving company has threatened all kinds of things when I requested 48 hours notice...from bringing the items back to charging $500 more. Crickets from Purple Heart, without any concern for their customers. I will be amazed if we ever get our things. Sell everything and move just your clothes before you consider using Purple Heart.

Audrey Zimmern

This is the first time we used movers from Purple Heart Moving Group. They moved us out of our 1 bedroom apartment in Maryland to our new home in Mississippi. The movers they gave ya were efficient, professional, and communicated well. They were on time and they charged us what they said they would. Everything went smoothly and the guys were very friendly. They took good care of my stuff and even the bigger pieces that I was worried about having damage were handled with care. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

Jordan McQueen

Do not use this company to move across country. They use some third party called MSN logistic. They give you a 10 day delivery window, but don’t expect that it will actually be in that window. It will be some time within 21 days. If you do use this company be prepared not to have your stuff for the better part of a month.

Laura White

Horrible! Would never recommend that you chose a moving company who sells off the job to others. First they extremely under quoted me! When I specifically told them multiple and I mean multiple times that I have 3 10x10x20 storage units full. Before I signed the contract and after I signed it I still asked many of times “are you sure your going to be able to fit all my stuff”. They reassured me that they would be. Moving day comes and wouldn’t you know they can’t fit any of it pretty much, just saying they can take a few of the big items (washer, dryer, couch, etc:). For $7,876 your going to move just a few items?!?!? All morning long calling back and forth to people, and eventually the transit company said “we don’t feel comfortable continuing with this haul” unpacked my things and left. I get an email saying that I had forfeited my deposit of $3,019.37, that was non returnable when forfeiting service. I wrote them back with an email explaining that: 1) I only signed that contract because Purple Heart reassured me many of times that they would be able to get the job done. Again I had told them so many times that I had 3 10x10x20 storage units full to the brim!! And then the transit company gets there and they are only saying they can fill half the truck. 2) After the fact that I booked it was only then that they said that the movers would take 14+ days to have my stuff delivered from California to Oregon! It takes 9 hours to get here!! I asked them why!? And they said because they go and pick up others peoples belongings, store them with my stuff, possibly my stuff gets taken to a storage unit till other people are ready on their OWN time to have their things delivered! Excuse me but I was fully expecting this company to load up, drive right here and unload! But that is not the case at all! If the booking person had told me these things before hand I would have NEVER chose to work with these people! Horrible costumer service! Stole a deposit from me when I WAS NOT the one who forfeited the service it was the transit company they hired. If Chris from Black Bear doesn’t own up to what he had said “I don’t feel comfortable with going through with this” then I will be reporting Purple Heart and Black Bear Transit to the DOT (Department of Transit)! And I already have my papers filled out for small claims, a witness with me who heard Chris be the one to forfeit this pick up. So please last time I’m asking nicely, return the money you have kept. Services were NOT rendered! You will not win in court. Oh and also if I could I would totally give this company -5 stars, they don’t even deserve one star.

Edward Thomas

These guys were great. A huge help. They helped me in doing everything I needed and then some with no questions asked. Would recommend to anybody.

Dewitt Carol Brenton

Arrived on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and careful. They are honest good men and hard workers. If not for Purple Heart Moving Group, it would have been far more difficult for me to relocate. There are no words that I can convey to fully explain just how great these guys are! I'll definitely use them again. Highly Recommended!!!

Robert Liu

Hired this company to move my building tiles from a specific warehouse in California to Maryland last December 2017 and they were nice to work with. Because they did well, that made me hire them again to ship 32 glass-doors panels from Miami, FL to Maryland in July 2018. The working team are experts and polite. They understand how to handle every piece of material without a damage. They delivered my goods in a good condition and also very fast in delivery. Hope to hire you guys again and again!

M Autumn

We had an awful experience with them. Moved days after our 2 day window we scheduled months in advance. Had to call repeatedly to get any sort of communication. Our stuff was delivered on the last possible day after dozens of follow-up (only ever initiated by us) and "it will be there soon." They lost a large easel that was custom-made by a relative. I gave them a detailed inventory and their initial quote was $1600 lower than what we paid (of course, after they had all of our stuff). They didn't care at all about any of our concerns, acted like we were inconveniencing them when we asked where our stuff was, many were outright rude. I've moved 40+ times in my life, and this one was hands down the worst experience. UPDATE: As you can see from their reply 4 MONTHS after posting this, they are not remotely concerned with customer service. You call us, NOT we'll be in touch with you right away to resolve this. They simply do not care about service, overcharging you, remotely meeting basic expectations, or resolving anything. DO NOT USE THEM!

Samuel Lewis

They were very careful, very polite and efficient. Nothing broke and we moved great from one place to another. They took care of wrapping up furniture and removing shelves etc. The person we spoke to on the phone answered all our questions and was very clear on pricing which i appreciated. Highly recommended!

Karen Lauzon

DO NOT CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! They quote a low price and "guaranteed" arrival time, then they hold your belongings hostage until you pay thousands of dollars in "upcharges". Quoted $2,300.00, then once everything is loaded, they present you with a bill for THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS more. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!

Charlotte Hough

I recently used this company for a move to Florida and I am happy to share it was a good experience overall. We did have a slight issue in the beginning with pickup being later than originally planned but I was in contact with their driver and their customer service who was very helpful. A few of my items required additional packing which did cause my total cost to increase but I was happy they were properly protected during the trip. I was able to contact their office at anytime to obtain updates throughout the move. I was informed when to expect my items for delivery and the driver again reached out as he was getting closer to my home. I had one important family heirloom that did not make it to the delivery location. I was able to report this through their claims company and it was later found and delivered which I am very thankful for. Overall, their prices are affordable and their staff in the office as well as in the field was nice, helpful and worked with me to make sure my move was handled with care.

If I can give a 'zero' star I would have given them that. As a previous customer I got really BURNT by this company. DO NOT , I repeat, DO NOT trust the good reviews. I think they are written by Purple Heart management. As stated by some other reviewers, Purple Heart is a 'No-Good' company. Since it is a 'broker', it has no control of when you will receive your items. You are under the mercy of the 'actual' moving company that you DO NOT have a contract with as your contract is with Purple Heart. Purple washed their hands after they took your money and you have to deal with the actual moving company. . And trust me, the moving company that I was assigned to, is a company that is 'DANGEROUS' to deal with. If you call Purple Heart....good luck if you can reach someone on the phone. So be smart, trust those bad reviews.

Zuhal kadhim

Kelly Paulson

If I could give zero stars, I would. This company contracts out, so you really have no idea what you’re getting. Our movers showed up nine hours late. I was up until 2:00am helping them with moving questions. They arrived with a truck that was way too small, even though we had done an inventory of everything we had with them. The additional truck showed up the next day an hour before we had to be out of our house. Now they are giving us a 3-10 day window for when our stuff will arrive, AFTER they load it on the truck which will happen whenever they feel like it. Nothing like living in an empty house with three kids that started at a new school two days ago. They were also not cheap and charged us over $9,000. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! EVER!!

Sofia Grace

When I called them for the first time, their customer representative welcomed me with a voice of encouragement. She explained me the entire service process. On the next day, an agent came to my house and provide me with an estimate. Their pricing was so reasonable that I had to accept it. On the moving date, the movers and dispatchers showed up early in the morning and started working. They did their job passionately and worked overtime. Within their promised timeline, they shipped my belongings to my new residence. This was a remarkable move with Purple Heart Moving.

Nath Fussell

I would have liked to have given Purple Heart Moving a higher score but due to issues that arose during the move and how it was handled that is not possible. I moved from Texas to Wyoming and used Purple Heart as the broker for that move. The initial set up with Henry was great The followup was great. Both times they answered question and explained the process. The problems start occurring when the moving company chosen by Purple Heart named Pioneer Moving got involved. The first problem was the pick up time. Purple Heart would give me one time and the Pioneer would change it. Pioneer changed the pick up time twice and was late when they finally arrived. I had arranged for the moving company to do the pack up and it seemed to come as a surprise to them. Next they tried to charge me for packing material that was already included in the price from Purple Heart. After they finished packing up and loading the furniture, Pioneer asked for more money. I said no and after a discussion about it they left. The next problem occurred when my expected delivery date came and went. The Pick up was April 21 with a delivery date of as close to may 12 as possible. The actual delivery was completed on May 25 but only after several call to Pioneer where not returned and I had to call Purple Heart to find out where my furniture was. After the delivery was made I found multiple items damaged or destroyed. I called Purple Heart and attempted to work with them for several months to put in a claim for damages but they were not able to contact Pioneer movers and finally told me that the only option left was to file a DOT complaint. I filed a DOT complaint with Federal and State agency. The response was that a State agency could not do anything. The federal agency said this was a small claims issue and i would have to go to small claims court. So even though their is a clause pertaining to basic Value protection it is worthless. I am extremely disappointed in how this move was handled and they assistant that was provided by Purple Heart Moving.

Jessica Newcomb

My company hired Purple Heart for a corporate move and it turned into the most difficult process. In the end we canceled with them because the finial payment was going to be double what was quoted to us. The staff was difficult to work with and knew so little information we had to ask to speak with a manager almost every time we called just to discuss possible options. The only nice person to speak with was the sales rep who scheduled our move so I was very hopeful that the move would be smooth. From payment options to moving time and dates the whole process was a strain. And after the whole thing went south there was no "customer service", no apology, or any kind of effort. We originally decided to go with this company because of the high rating here on Google. Unfortunately it wasn't until later I checked BBB and found that they are a -B rated company. I hate leaving bad reviews but I really hope someone else can avoid the some trouble we went through and having to forfeit $1,000.

Suzanne Miner

Worst experience ever with this moving group! No communication until a few hours before they pickup or deliver - untrue what they tell you regarding 1-2 day communication, poor customer support - sounds like the person hates their job and it shows with their lack of phone etiquette, and worst of all, their pricing model is so flawed - they tell you one price based on inventory list you provide but when moving day comes, they let you know you have taken up more cubic feet than what the model estimated and you're trapped with a several thousand increase in price! Future movers - beware!

slimjimmy

Deceptive pricing model. Their quote was already $900 above local movers (Two Men & A Truck). After inventorying my 1 bedroom apt for a 2 mile move, they wanted an additional $350 in security deposits and wanted to charge $2000 for a 4 hour move. You have 7 days to cancel or they will take your $650+ security deposit. Of course they wait till 3 business days to update your inventory & give you a revised quote. I still went with Two Men & a Truck and saved $300 after eating their ridiculous security deposit that they rush you into paying for over the phone.

Renee Ida Vivian

My sister recently made a long distance move using Purple Heart Moving Group. After the move she highly recommended them when I needed to move, so I told her I would give them a trial so I place a call across to their customer service and get a free quote. Immediately a moving coordinator was assigned to me and he gave me all of the information needed. The price by the way was a really good price. From the depth of my heart I want to thank Purple Heart Moving Group. The team made sure I was satisfied with everything; overall it was a great experience

Betty Estep

Resolved.Being that my husband is a veteran we chose purple heart...never once talked to a veteran and they claim to be veteran owned. we received a quote and that ended up doubled when the ACTUAL moving company came to pick up our things....then too late our house had sold and we were at their mercy. DO YOU HOMEWORK!!!!!! This company is NOT the moving company they subcontract to a third party and then you're stuck!!!! Take the time to contract an actual moving company that will come to your home and give you a CORRECT price!!!! Will tell every vet we know to NEVER use this company!!!!!!!Resolved by Purple Heart

My movers from Purple Heart were truly fantastic. They worked hard and had great attitudes. The whole process of getting me packed up and on the road went much faster than I expected. Thank you so much to the guys they sent. I wish I remembered their names. This company is very attentive to their customers. They have some of the best customer service I have every received. I would recommend them.

Allow me to use myself personally as a good example. The initial attempt for getting this company, My spouse and I tried out 4 companies but due to the fact that all their charges ended up extremely high so we have to hold on until eventually, a buddy introduced Purple Heart to us. When we approached them we were 100 % impressed by the price they set it up so we were contemplating if they were going to do the task but with a big surprise, these men delivered the same job and made us keep $1600 from the price other competitors presented us. Ever since then we have highly recommended them to a lot of people; and right up until this very moment, our whole family members, friends and neighbors, and also co-workers are already working with them, and there are no grievances at all.

Purple Heart and their crew were awesome! They were so nice and careful. Our fragile items were handled so well. They were hard workers and every single person from Purple Heart was easy to work with. It actually took less time than we though to get our move done. Our move was long distance so it was impressive they worked so quickly. I would absolutely have Purple Heart Move us again. Thank you again guys!

John F

The best movers I've ever used. All our furniture and fragile stuff was expertly packed and carefully handled. They were hard working, efficient, honest and super nice. SO glad I called Purple Heart Moving Group for my move. The entire process was seamless.

I am more than satisfied with the service I received from Purple Heart Moving Group. The staff was thorough and professional. From patiently guiding me to their location over the phone to the staff assisting with loading my belongings and securing it safely: the movers are just too perfect and understand my wants. I am a happy customer after using this company and highly recommend for any of your moving needs.

Upon looking for someone that could assist me with moving from Melbourne ,Florida to Baltimore Maryland. I was very stressed and nervous about going with the company. Once I went through the process and received the most sufficient service one can possibly receive. All my worries went away.

Original quote was less than half of what was charged. Delivery of our items was estimated within 10 days of request date but took 22 days. The original quote from Purple Heart to pack, load, move and deliver our items was $6000 which was provided without sending anyone to the home to see what needed to be done. The window that was provided for them to arrive and begin packing was 3 days. They arrived late in the evening on the 3rd day with only two people to wrap and pack all of our items. The communication between purple heart and their contractor (Oasis Moving Company) was insufficient as the people they sent said they were not notified that they would be packing the items in addition to loading and moving. This ended up taking an entire day of packing and loading. The movers from Oasis also informed us when they arrived that the $6000 quote would only be enough to cover the first half of the move (packing and loading) and the transportation and unloading would cost an additional $5600. The delivery to our new home was requested on October 1. Our initial contact to Purple Heart was on October 2 and they requested that we call Oasis directly. The staff from Oasis were very rude and would not communicate with us about when we could expect delivery. We also received a phone call that day from Oasis asking for the remaining amount, $5600 be paid, which we did. (An $1800 deposit was paid to Purple Heart to reserve the moving date and $6000 was paid to Oasis at the time of pick up. This is in addition to the storage fees that were paid to Oasis while our items were being stored ) When we asked again when we could expect delivery (we were told initially that we could expect delivery within a 3 day window from when it was requested) they informed us that they are allowed a 10 day window to provide delivery. We called Purple Heart every two days after that to see if delivery had been scheduled. On October 21 we finally received a phone call from Purple Heart informing us that we would receive a phone call from Oasis to deliver. Oasis called on October 22 to let us know that they would be delivering that day. They arrived at 4 PM. The only bright spot in the entire experience were the men who came to deliver. They were friendly and helpful working late into the night to unload.

Worst moving company. We had an awful experience with Purple Heart. They subcontracted the work to a company that had a F rating with the better business bureau and that company charged us twice as much as we were quoted and were a nightmare to work with. We still have not received our items.

mehul B

Extremely bad service. Delayed pick up, very disrespectful and irresponsible staff. When you call them, only answer you get is “I don’t have information, Call us back later in the afternoon “. Do yourself a favor and save your self from this troublesome company. They will make sure your moving experience is painful. Their service is not worth a penny..

I just got my stuff moved by Purple Heart and I am vey dissatisfied and angry about the way they handle their business. Original total Estimated price was ~ $ 7300 but last invoice was over $10300. There was no on-site estimate of moving expenses, just over the phone and online list you submit. the sales person very pushy about signing the contract with you and once that is done it si so hard to get a hold of him. He promissed that he is over estimating and i will even get some money back but that was a big LIE. I ended up paying over $3000 extra and once my stuff delivered there were so many broken and damged items that you will not imagine. if there was a ZERO star, i would have rated them zero.

Jeremy Denny

Awful, All they do is get your biz, sell to a local mover who doesnt care, and charge you more by the time its too late to switch companies. Brilliant business strategy, terrible for consumers. Sparing everyone the details, claim filed after several items damaged/missing, still waiting for claim check 7 months later. No answer form Triple Crown Moving and Storage whom they sold my move to. Will attempt to get you to take reviews down in order to settle claim. Don't even care about money at this point, want to warn others.

Henry Cook

The gentlemen who moved were very nice and efficient! I can't believe how quickly they got everything done. They shrink wrapped even my ratty old press board bookshelves so they survived the move too! All with. Very short move time. They even helped carry my personal stuff to my truck for me! Such a great job.

We signed a moving contract with Purple Heart Moving Group on March 4th, 2019 and paid $1694.35 security deposit because, the sales, Nate, said we can call him via his direct line to cancel five days after signing the contract for whatever reason to get a full refund. We called Nate on his direct line he provided us on March 5th to cancel, he didn’t answer the phone and didn’t call us back even though we left him a message. So we had to contact their customer service department, and they replied through email, “the cancellation policy states that this payment is non-refundable if canceled less than 5 business days prior to the first date in the original pickup window.” We checked the contract and realized why Nate rushed us to sign the contract because he lied about the cancellation policy and he knew that there is no way we can cancel and get the deposit back if he put March 11 on the contract. That is why he put “03/11/2019-3/12/2019” as move date and explained that movers can definitely come on March 12, but he put March 11 down because he will try hard to get them to come on March 11. We called our credit card company to put a dispute on the transaction on March 5th and filed a consumer complaint with the Wyoming Attorney General on March 6th and we are writing this Google review to let other consumers know that they need to read the contract they are going to sign with Purple Heart carefully, word by word, regardless what the salesman promises. We would not trust this company with anything and are extremely disappointed with their behavior. When I asked if they needed a copy of my DD Form 214, they said no need for any forms you have all the discounts. Please don’t let the name fool you!! Ask whoever you speak with what their MOS was.....you’re gonna hear crickets. Pete & Sue Henning

If I could rate Purple Heart 0 stars I would. I would NEVER Recommend them to any one. I agree with all the other 1 star reviews. All of their points are exactly how my experience is currently going with Purple Heart. I am stilling waiting on my delivery. I’ll update everyone on how well the Enterprise Rental Truck driving Hometown Van Lines LLC out of Owings Mills, MD does with my delivery. OK, Time for the update. The movers arrived after the fourth reschedule. My brand new boxes had holes in them. My couches had leather sanded off the edges, my dresser legs were dented. The gentlemen delivering the truck said “we just pick up the truck and unload it, we don’t look inside until delivery”. I can understand that but my stuff had the living junk kicked out of it somewhere between pick up and delivery. My only option was to write down what was damaged and speak with a guy named Austin. Yeah right!! Hahahahaha. As if I’ll get a call back. Basically, I learned a $6,000 dollar 847 mile, three weeks to deliver my stuff lesson. Never again. Absolutely the worst moving experience ever. They bait and switch you on the estimate and they can’t wait to get ya signed up, but then leave you and your family hanging until they feel like it. They won’t unpack your stuff until you pay in cash or USPS money order. I wonder why? All on the up and up? I have delivery day pictures if anyone wants to see them. In my humble first amendment opinion avoid this hot garbage of a company.

This has been the worst night mare of My life, First thing I ask Trevor with Purple if they was a broker company, He said,"no they have their own trucks", that was a lie, Next We was Quoted a price of $7152.28, then the price went to $10,528.99, At the end when all was added up We ended up paying $16,680.88,after paying So much Over half of our furniture is Badly Damaged They treated our belongings like it TRASH , most of our furniture is less than five years old very expensive washer and dryer one year old was bashed in on top, hire them at your own risk. just a fair warning too much damage to list it all. will post pictures soon.I can't even give them one star, This has been a nightmare.

With so many moving companies in the area, it's hard to find a reliable and trustworthy group of movers that will go above and beyond to make you a happy and returning customer. Purple Heart Moving Group did exactly that when they helped me get a ton of belongings from a friend. Five stars from them.

Ruth Adams

The movers did a fantastic job! My wife and I were impressed with their attention to detail and speed. They were polite and worked hard to make sure we had a great experience. Overall I would highly recommend them for any move. Thank you!

Richard Schindler

Absolute SCAM! DO NOT do Business here! Should have read the reviews first. BAD COMPANY!! Once you're booked your done. Forgotten. I finally reached them after 14 attempts 24 hours before our move and they told us that they could not find a mover to do our move. No prior call or email. They are Thieves. They are brokers, not movers and they DO NOT answer calls, emails, etc. Pay a little more with someone else.

Conrad Johnson

Found them online and was able to schedule on the date needed. We moved from New Orleans to Denver. I told them everything we had that wouldn't be boxed and the size our our house. Not being a moving company I was relying on them to help with the proper amount of stuff we would have. The original estimate was $4300. This was a great price for the service compared to some of the other companies I contacted. When the movers showed up, they were from a different company and wouldn't except the check made to purple heart, they said it would be more than double at $9100. They then proceeded to bump walls and damage furniture. My recommendation would be to find a company that will come to your house and make a more realistic estimate.

Kriszta Csamangó

They did an absolute great job, when they left, I was 100% sure I am in good hands. Every single item of my stuff was in the same condition at destination as it was during pick up. I did not regret to chose this company. It wasn't cheap, nor expensive, good to find someone, who can do a quality job for reasonable price. Also it was a release to see the same faces 850 miles away... I definitely recommend this company.

Erin Powers

They did an excellent job at packing and securing them! I hired them for 4 hours and am just amazed at how much they got done in that time! I literally had them move all the heavy, bulky items and they just worked hard the entire time. Both movers were friendly and professional. I will be recommemding this company and will be using them again!!

TL;DR Find someone else or do it yourself. Our initial estimate seemed good but having never used a moving company before we had no frame of reference and were quite happy to not have the headache of moving ourselves again. Turns out we traded a headache for a hangover. When the movers arrived to pick up our stuff they loaded up half and then said that we would be charged twice as much as we'd been quoted. It was at that point that we were told that charging the pick up amount to a card would cost and extra 3%. Then we were told that we needed cash or a money order for the delivery, something that had never come up before. When a "legitimate" business says that they need a massive amount of cash for a final payment red flags go up. Sounds very shady to me. Regardless, what choice did we have at that point? We had to get a personal loan to stay afloat because of their price gouging. My wife and I were expecting our belongings a few days after moving. We were told initially that we could choose a date for delivery. LIE The driver picking up our belongings said that our belongings would be delivered up to 10 days after the date we selected. LIE We were just given notice that delivery window extends to nearly 3 weeks after the date we had initially selected and agreed upon. So here we are, left in the lurch and living out of luggage that was supposed to last for 5 days at most, for 3 weeks in an apartment with no furniture. Not worth the considerable money. Not worth the effort. I'm beginning to wonder if our belongings have been stolen. One star is too many for this cabal of scoundrels.

Anna Sobotka

This company is completely dishonest about how long a move will take. I was assured during my estimate my move would be under 10 days. Then, at pickup, the driver told me I'd have my furniture in a week. When I called Purple Heart to check on the truck, they told me it would definitely be over two weeks and they didn't even know where my truck was. The woman I spoke to was rude and not understanding. I feel manipulated because the reason I chose this company over others was because I was told the move wouldn't take a long time. Go with someone else.

Heidi Halliday

Moving group Purple Heart and Sub Contractor 5 Star Moving. Mind you I am not a professional mover and shared this with the initial contact with Purple Heart. I did request that I have an in person Quote. I was told that I am a professional and have done this many times. My estimated bill went from $6500 to $14000. Unbeknownst to me Purple Heart Sub Contracts out. I had a small moving truck show up for a 3 bedroom house and basement. There appeared to be no communication between the subcontractor and Purple Heart. Another truck needed to be rented in addition to additional boxes. Many of my items were left behind do to the decision of the 5 Star Subcontractor. There was extensive damage done to the drywall of the basement and hand railing. I have made multiple attempts to have my Treadmill delivered to me and reimbursement for the damage without success. I would not recommend this group as they do not appear to be what they are. More to come...

Olin Foster Faustino

Purple Heart Moving Group moved my furniture's last week and i am satisfied with the result. Nice guys and good movers. No damages, No hidden charges. Thanks for a wonderful moving experience.

Donald Keller

Movers of Purple Heart Moving Group were well trained for packing and loading heavyweight items. All of my moving items, including furniture, white goods and showpieces were well packed for transportation. The movers worked efficiently and quickly. The costs associated with this move were higher which is the only thing I didn’t like. They have a very premium pricing policy. If they can offer an affordable price I would give them 5 out of 5.

Edgardo Berry Tanner

I am so happy with the service of the movers and staff at Purple Heart Moving Group that I felt compelled to write a few words of Praise in regards to the work they did. They were punctual, professional and very polite. They were uniformed, clean and the crew leader was a moving expert. Great packing and they delivered on time as well. All things were accounted for and there were no damages at all to the items.

SHEFALI JAIN

We just had our fingers crossed on our move with this company. We fell in the trap by reading some positive reviews and ignoring the negative ones. But, in the end negative reviews seems to be the honest ones. Like everyone else, we will suggest the same - stay away from this money extortion company! No matter how good you are in explaining the inventory, once the greedy pickup up guys come, you will be forced to shell out more or given an option to loose your deposit. Will be adding more details to our overall experience with proofs !

Due to personal reasons, I needed to move back home to Texas and do it quickly. I didn't know who could possibly help me pack up all of this stuff after living in Phoenix for over 8 years. After frantically searching for a mover to accommodate my short notice, I came across Purple Heart Moving Group. They're the only ones that eased my concerns and handled my needs in a polite manner. I'm really impressed by their level of professionalism. Every concern addressed, every detail explained, every step was hassle-free. Of course I was pacing back and forth worried if they were going to be on time and deliver everything they promised, but needless to say, they came through. They were actually 17 minutes early. And they delivered all of my belongings, unpacked everything and set everything up with grace. I can't say enough about them. Do yourself a favor and give them a call.

Floyd Stewart

We had the best experience with Purple Heart Moving Group. They were professional and prompt. Their movers were careful and efficient every step of the way. They wrapped and padded everything that needed to be taken care of. They even paid attention to how our boxes were labeled and packed them accordingly. I would highly recommend Purple Heart to anyone. Thank you for making this easy.

Deanna Good

They sub contract and don't protect their customers. They wash their hands of you as soon as they have your downpayment. They set me up with Fragile Movers, who raised my contract price 60% over the quote Purple Heart gave me, they would not let me sign for any insurance, they held my stuff hostage and demanded cash. I attempted to call Purple Heart 26 times the day of my move, and got NO WHERE! 40K+ in damages - that is the kind of moving company they contract with! STAY AWAY!

Irene Rice

DO NOT MOVE WITH THIS GROUP if you want an organized move. *Disclaimer: we have not moved yet, this is all based upon pre-move experience. This has no reflection on the contracted moving company nor the movers themselves. I scheduled a move with Purple Heart Moving Group over a month ago. Upon scheduling I was told that I would get confirmation of my moving date five days in advance of my moving... within five days, I called and was told that they had not scheduled yet and will be contacting me soon with further information. Then I called within two days and was told that they did not have a schedule yet... Then afternoon before my requested moving date I called and was told that they still did not have the schedule yet however they would look and called me back and yes they were responsive this time... I was then informed that my moving date was a day later than requested. They still could not confirm the time. Originally I was told that I needed to do a down payment, then two separate payments upon pick-up and drop-ff. I got cashers checks and had them made out to Purple Heart Moving Group... After calling in the evening before my now scheduled moving day I was informed that they did not have my time yet (but would and did confirm) and that the cashers checks were incorrect and needed to be made out to a third party which I was reportedly told during my debriefing call... WHICH I NEVER HAD! I politely informed her that I never had a call, that all information was information that I called their customer service to ask for. No information has been readily shared with me and nothing about this has been organized. I have never moved with a moving company before and had done all my research about the best moving companies of 2019. Based on BBB and consumer reviews, I expected a more professional experience however after this move I will NEVER use PHMG again. **note, this is prior to pick up. This is not a reflection of the third party moving group nor the individuals involved in assisting the move.
