Had Big Boys move me about a week ago and they were awesome. I spoke to Rodney initially and then had a follow up with Anthony-they were both extremely knowledgeable and accommodating.The guys came out early morning, it took about 3 hours which was not long at all considering everything we had in that house. I told them about my wifes, uncles old dresser we have and to be careful with it and not only were they extremely cautious with that but they were with all our other belongings. She was totally pleased with how careful and quick they handled everything. We will definitely be using them again and recommending. Thanks guys!

Deciding on Big Boys Moving for my move that was done yesterday was an over all great choice for us. When we were searching for a mover the Big Boys website offered helpful information with a really cool live on screen salesperson who answered all of our questions before the move. Our movers were scheduled to arrive by noon yesterday but I got a call at 10:00am saying they were free to come early if I wanted and I gladly accepted. Moving stinks and I wanted it over with as quickly as humanly possible. The three movers who showed up did everything they could to make this a positive experience for us. The lead mover was always attentive through the whole move. He was the director who took quick control guiding us thru the process and taking the time to tell us so we understood exactly how things were going to be done. All three young men were very polite, respectful and extremely efficient. They treated all of our things safely making sure not to hit our walls and took special care wrapping everything. Their price was very reasonable compared to the other companies that I had received estimates from. I will definitely recommend Big Boys Moving.

Both movers were professional at 1st. I didn't have many things to move and the job should of only taken 2 hours, however it took 3 hours to move a couch, bed, dresser, dining table and 4 chairs and 2 plants tv and a tv stand and 4 boxes. They kept stopping to talk to each other and other females in my apartment complex. I had to ask them to stay focused because I didn't want to pay $500 for this move. Once we got to the new place, I was unwrapping my own items jut to move it along.If you need to hire movers, I would look some where else.

Since moving to Tampa I've used no less than three moving companies. Up until now, every experience was a nightmare. One of the companies destroyed a brand new couch and the other was over four hours late. Big Boys Moving was on time, careful, and incredibly processional through my entire moving process. If you're looking for Tampa movers, Big Boys would be my recommendation. They even had a moving special that saved me $100 on my move.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Tried to shop local and give business to this company to move a simple 1 bedroom apartment less than 10minutes between locations. Quoted appropriately and excited for the move. Day of, 2 guys show up as expected and instead of getting to work, fought with us for 45 minutes that instead of the 3 hours we were quotes based on the list of belongings it would actually take 6 hours. Not even 1/2 our belongings made it onto the truck for the first trip and the team refuses to complete the job. Now, not only is my move not complete but the office and representative handling the move aren't answering the phone and have reported they will be charging us for the extra time and resources any way. Absolutely a disgrace of a company. Will NEVER recommend them to anyone ever.

Allow me state that I did not hire this company to move myself but I did for a friend. They gentle men who arrived on time presented themselves as "Pete" and "Q". Both guys were very professional. They handled the items as if it were their own very careful and cautious about how things were wrapped and carried out.Her items were placed in the truck neatly and organized. Q was very efficient at having the items safely and securely placed in the truck so nothing was damaged. It was amazing to watch them get things properly wrapped and packed in such a time efficient matter. These gentle men went up and above my expectations as movers. I enjoyed having them move my friend because they allowed her and I fell at ease. They took all of our questions and concerns with a smile and we felt her stuff was going to be well cared for in this move..Pete was such a darling!!!! My friend, who is going through a divorce has been on an emotional rollercoaster and Pete was such a caring soul and even comforter her when things became overwhelming for her and I was so pleased he had the patience and understanding for her and these hard times. By the end of the move she was even smiling!!!! It felt so good to see her upbeat and ready for her new chapter Thanks again Pete and Q.

Was charged 3 hours at $189 each ($567!!!) for travel...even after the movers admitted they had problems with the truck! Outrageous. Was never told that Apollo Beach was out of area from Tampa! They made us sign for total charge before the job was complete...and was not allowed to dispute anything since you sign first...The start time was then changed from 9:58 when they arrived to 8:11 which is when the say they left Tampa to get to Apollo Beach. They also totally destroyed a $330 cabinet. BEWARE!

I was left high and dry by Homecoming Movers on Monday. They had me waiting for almost 3hrs and if I didn't call I would not have heard from them. I left a message about how unprofessional and incompetent they are and the owner did not like that and said they aren't coming now. My son and I loaded the the truck and drive to my new address. I called to keep the truck overnight and on Tuesday frantically called movers to fit me in as I had to take yet another day off from work! Big Boy Movers not only called me back but Shelby fit me in . I must admit I did call them alot because if my previous mishap and all the ladies, were very understanding. They send 3 wonderful young men who not only moved me in quickly, they were the most respectful gentlemen I could ask to help my crazy self. I highly recommend this company. I joked that they should all have had capes on because they were my heroes for that day! I can't thank you all enough!!! Moving in itself is very stressful but to be left like that is nuts to me but thank Goodness for Big Biy Movers!!!!

These are honest people. The truck employees were Kyle, Luke, and Leon. They were careful, courteous and honest. I spoke to Brandi on the phone and she was efficient and quick. Lamar called me several times to make sure my move was going well. I used cash to pay drivers and they delivered it to company without a flaw. I would use this company again. It is unusual to receive this honest service in this day and time.

IT REALLY SUPPOSE TO BE 0 STARS I will never, EVER EVER LET THESE PEOPLE MOVE MY STUFF AGAIN!! FOR STARTERS THEY WERE LATE !! I HAD A 10AM TO 1PM WINDOW PERIOD THEY CAME AT 3:30PM, YES 3:30 PM, AND I COULDN'T CANCEL BECAUSE THEY HAVE A $100 FEE FOR CANCELLATION, MIND YOU THEY STATED THAT THEY WOULD GIVE ME A DISCOUNT SINCE MY APARTMENT REFERRED THEM AND I NEVER GOT THE DISCOUNT, THE MOVERS TOOK THEIR SWEET TIME KNOWING THAT I ONLY HAVE 2 HOURS BEFORE THEY COMPANY CHARGES 100 FOR OVERAGE WHICH THEY FAILED TO MENTION IN THE BEGINING! I DON'T HAVE THAT MUCH STUFF ALL I HAD WAS A SMALL DRESSER, BED, AND A SOFA AND 7 BOXES, THEY BROKE MY DRESSER DRAWER, THE MOVERS DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME THEY DROPPED MY STORAGE BIN OF KITCHEN ITEMS, THE ONLY REASON WHY I KNOW THEY DROP IT IS BECAUSE THERE WAS GRASS AND DIRT INSIDE THE BIN, BECAUSE THE MOVERS WENT 15 MINTUES OVER THE 2 HOUR MARK THEY CHARGED ME AN ADDITIONAL 100 WHICH TOTALED TO 600 FOR MY MOVE! $600 FOR A 1 BED ROOM APARTMENT MOVE FOR ONE PERSON??? THE ONLY REASON I'M NOT SUEING IS BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO RETAIN A LAWYER, OTHER WISE I WOULD HAVE TOOK THEM TO THE CLEANERS!!!

First of all our initial moving company didn't show up on our move day. So we started to panic not knowing who to call on such short notice. My husband recognized the company that was doing so much for the Metropolitan Ministry, Big Boys moving and storage. So we called. We spoke with Eileen who was so helpful and caring. She adjusted their moves for the day and got us in. The movers were so kind and careful with our stuff. Something that went bad became a blessing. I am reciting the facts of my move, so other Tampa area consumers can make an informed decision about one of the companies. I scheduled a move of a 1100 sq ft, 2 bedroom apartment, which 2 people live in. One bedroom was unfurnished aside from two small bookshelves. The entire move of 37 miles took just over 12 hours, being billed at an hourly rate. Twelve hours, for a 2 bedroom apartment. Both apartments were third floor units. The movers arrived in a rented Uhaul truck, not the branded trucks pictured repeatedly on the website. They proceeded to carry small to medium boxes, 1-2 at a time up and down the stairs, not using any of the equipment they had. I witnessed them stand outside their truck and have a conversation with the apartment maintenance staff about the shoes one of the movers was wearing. I witnessed one of the movers not be present for periods of time, and then would be walking over from the next building, the opposite direction of the truck. The billing, again, was an hourly rate. They tried to tell us the last large item wouldn't fit in the truck, so they couldn't take it. When they actually were told to take it downstairs, it fit easily. At the unload site they said their boss didn't realize it was a third floor move, so they weren't prepared, and what is why it was taking so long. All communication from and to their company beforehand indicates third floor. At the "completion" of the unload, the movers departed with the following not completed: Dining room table not reassembled, multiple pieces of furniture still wrapped in moving blankets, feet were not reinstalled on couch. We had provided a dozen bottles of cold water for them at each location, and found them thrown on the ground in the stairwell outside the new apartment. I attempted to contact Big Boys during the move to express my concerns, but only received recorded messages about how busy they were. I emailed them on the moving day, with no response. On moving day +5, I contacted them via phone, was was informed they only correspond via email. That day I did recieve an email stating they had "requested copies of all documentation so that I can respond to all the matters brought to my attention." I emailed asking for a follow up 7 days later, on moving day +12. No response. I called asking for a follow up the next day on moving day +13, with no response. I called once more and did have the opportunity to discuss the problems with a company representative. She was dismissive from the beginning repeatedly referring to the "black and white" of the contract. I asked if she was willing to give me any accommodation for the problems, which she was not. I explained I would be forced to relay the facts of my move wherever possible. She responded by informing me she "has Google too" and can write what she wants. I asked her if she was threatening me, and she said it was her "Constitutional right" to say what her opinion of me was online. Please consider this experience when choosing a mover. I have moved 3 times in the last 7 years, and this is the longest experience by time. It is also easily the most expensive.

I wanted to pass along some positive feedback after our move on 5/10/15. They were on time, polite, professional and honest. The crew did everything they could to make sure we weren't stressed out. They got started right away. One person delegated but they were all knowledgeable, careful and took good care of everything. Rodney, the foremen, was great! He was very professional and made the move much less stressful as a result of him being there. Also, the salesperson (I believe his name was Joe??) who came out to our house initially was great as well. He walked us through the whole process, provided suggestions and was the main reason why we chose Big Boys Moving. There were many companies to choose from but after careful research we found that Big Boys Moving was highly recommended by most. After they completed our move we knew that we picked the right company and why they were voted best movers in Tampa. Thanks again!

Beware!!! Only positive thing I experienced regarding this company was the movers. They were hard workers and very polite. They arrived late but I understand that things happen. The bad....and it is bad. It was estimated that my move a week and a half ago would take 2-3 hours. They charge per hour. I moved from a 1 bedroom apt on the 4th floor with an elevator to a house that was all on one level. THE MOVERS packed everything very neat and were careful with my items. Packed the truck and met me at my house in Tampa. By this time is was dark out and we were at the 2hr and 15 min mark. The driver got out of the vehicle and politely indicated that I had to pay before they unload. I asked why and he said because the boss called and said so. I asked to talk to the boss. He called FRANK back and I jumped on the phone. I asked why I had to prepay and why I was paying for 4 hours when we were only at the 2.15 mark. Immediately Frank threatened me and indicated that if I didn't pay the rest of the money he would tell the movers to close the door and move. He threatened until I paid. From start to finish it took 3 hours and 10 minutes. I asked the driver about being reimbursed. He indicated that they bill in HOUR increments and that he was sorry. He also indicated that "Frank" always treats people this way. Hey Big Boys....It sounds like "Frank" (I found out later he is the Director of Operations) needs to go. Awful experience.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. SCAM. Takes money upfront and the service becomes super slow. And then you need to pay more and more and more. Shelby especially is a very rude and unprofessional person. Shouting at the customer I think is as low as the service person can drop.

My movers from Big Boys Moving and Storage did an excellent job. The whole team was very professional and courteous. I was very hesitant choosing a mover this time around. In the past finding the right company was always stressful for me. Lucky for me while searching this time I found this great company. The movers worked hard and they were truly awesome. Everything was wrapped and packed well. All was delivered without damage. Rates were lower than expected. The final bill was waaaaaaaaaaay under the quotes that I had received from other companies. 4/7/19 Edited to add: My review is for the correct company and is 100% honest and accurate. I inadvertently wrote "Big Guys" instead of "Big Boys" in my original review, but the review is for the correct company. The move did take two days, and the movers did arrive in a marked U-Haul truck. Our experience with Big Guys was not a pleasant one. The movers arrived 6 hours after the scheduled time, causing the move to be a two-day ordeal instead of one. Despite confirming the furniture inventory with the sales rep and agreeing to pay extra to move a large item, the office manager/supervisor informed us on the second (not first) day of the move that they could not move the large item., claiming I did not inform the sales rep of the size of the item (I am certain I did). This resulted in us having to find another moving company at the last minute to move the large item, resulting in a significant additional cost to us. The movers also arrived in a marked U-haul (non-company issued) truck, and there were different moving guys both days. It was an extremely stressful experience, and we will go with a more reputable and honest company for our next move.

They should be a negative 5 star. The day began with the crew being six hours late on our moving day, they were to be there at noon and showed up at 6pm. There were no notification to tell us that there was a delay, in fact the office was not answering the phone. Then they go to the location we were moving to not the house we were moving out of. Then they hand us a contract that says we have to pay 1.5 hours of travel time, however they estimated 4 hour total move time from our 3200 SQ foot home at $600. They played the game of blaming the office and how they work on gratuity. They scratched the walls, the furniture, started shoving parts of brand new bed into wardrobe boxes to try and save us money, that's where I drew the line, they finished at 11:30pm. My husband and I had to rent a uhaul and complete the job ourselves the next day. They are scumbags just wanting to take your money. The bill was $1200 a far cry from $600 quoted. The night ended with them telling us we would also have to pay for them to drive back to the office another hour. We called other moving company that have real 5 star ratings, they charge from the moment they reach your home, no double dipping for drive time. Do Not Use!!!!

They worked on Thanksgiving for me and saved my day! These movers at Big Boys Moving were super professionals and knew exactly how to do their job. They were done packing and loading my things into their truck with everything gone out of my apartment in just two hours. I really appreciate the high standards this company maintained the entire time. They gave me the lowest quote which got me to hire them and the movers who did my move turned out to be real gems. They were punctual, efficient, friendly, careful and experienced. All of our belongings were delivered safely and nothing was damaged. A move that took me and my friends an entire day late into the night the last time I moved was reduced to just a half day with these supervised young men and they barely broke a sweat. I hope my big tip showed my great appreciation as my words can't thank them enough. I'm glad they got done early enough to make it home for their turkey. Superstars!!!

My family used Big Boys Moving. The prices were fair for our time the office was sincere BUT what made a remarkable experience. Was our movers Pete and Adiel. As everyone who has strangers move them were initially nervous about the ordeal. We could not of had a better set of guys do the job. Pete and Adiel from the moment they arrived were persentable, respectful, and very friendly . These two must work together for a long time because their system of wrapping, hauling, moving and loading was stupendous! These two gentleman made us feel so comfortable and at ease while they handled our property just by making sure we were ok with certain things or allowing our imput on how things are to be done our way (my wife's). They worked in such a timely manner and everything was handled with care and delicacy. These guys even after moving up and down three flights of stairs were just as quick, efficient and friendly as when they arrived. They never once seemed aggervated or annoyed they smiled and we made small talk through out the process. I felt like I had friends moving us. They allowed our move to be done quickly, efficiently and very professionally. These guys are true professionals in every aspect of the job. And their pleasantries were a bonus.

They came recommended but left me waiting over 24 hours to get service changing the pick up times 3 tims the first day 3 times the second day when I should have been first in line the next day. I had lost an entire weekend waiting to move and now it's going to be dark soon again. I should not have to pay for service like this

When I chose Big Boys Moving, they quoted me for 3-5 hours worth of moving at 139.00 plus a 99.00 surcharge for gas, etc. The movers took an hour lunch break plus several smoke breaks and ended up charging us for 8 hours plus added gratuity. When I called to address the issue, I was told to write an email. I wrote a professional email using my school email address and they reported me to my school saying I harassed them. The dispute officer from my school contacted me and simply said there was nothing wrong with the email I sent, just not to use the school email for personal use. I am humiliated and feel completely wronged by this company. I called to ask Susan why she would have reported me to my school and she repeatedly hung up on me saying she can't speak to me over the phone. Please choose your moving company wisely.

I called Big Boys Moving and storage late on a Monday afternoon to see if they could accommodate moving 3 items the next day in the early morning. They accommodated my last minute request, provided a very fair price, and arrived on time! The movers, Anthony & Scott were professional, efficient, and pleasant. They expertly protected the items being moved, a washer, dryer, and refrigerator and safely transported the items from St Pete to Trinity arriving in perfect condition. They even connected the washer & dryer and moved the old units to the garage, something I hadn't expected. This company has been in business with an office that I've passed daily for many years. After asking around I also have many, many friends that had a great experience. I moved March 30th from Oldsmar to Palm Harbor. I have so many good things to say about Big Boys Moving & Storage company that I honestly don't know exactly where i should start. Excellent communication and guidance from their sales department. They helped us plan right up until the day of our move. We've lived in the same home for ten years and did not realize how much junk we had accumulated. My salesperson planned the packing the evening before. They team that arrived were terrific. They packed all my kitchen, my china cabinet and both of my curio cabinets with care. They used blankets and wrap on all of my furniture. The extra special care truly showed with my antiques which included my pride and joy items the grandfather clock and baby grand piano. They took everything apart, wrapped it all and ready for the move leaving just our bed together for us to sleep in that night. The next morning the same Big Boys arrived and got right to work loading their trucks. They moved quickly as a team and their experise again shined bright. We were shocked at how fast they loaded both trucks. The previous day packing and preparations was definitely the way to go. Even though we moved into a smaller home the unload still went just as smooth. We won't be moving again anytime soon but I will surely be spreading the word on how great this company is. If your looking for a smooth stress free move your call to Big Boys will be the absolute best choice that you could make.

Big Boys Moving once again made our move seem easy and it again went stress free. After hearing great things about them back in 2016 this was actually the second time we have used them. I didn't take the time to review them then but was reminded my need to this time. Because of their fantastic service on our first experience with them we didn't think twice about trying anyone else. I did not at any point in time think to myself they were not moving fast enough, or ‘get off your phone’ or ‘what are you doing’ – all of the things one would be concerned about when using a new company. They evaluated my move and told me what I could expect financially. As soon as that was done I witnessed them very quickly put together an action plan to execute, versus just winging it as they went along which would take more time, costing me more money. They organized exactly how they would perform this move to get it done as fast as possible both safely (for them and my possessions) and in a timely fashion. They were courteous, polite, and mindful of the surroundings. They never used vulgar language or discussed inappropriate topics in my presence. They helped make what was already a tiresome event into a pleasant transition. I definitely recommend this company

I hired this moving company as I was moving from Tampa to Palm Harbor - ground floor to third floor. I wanted to move everything out on the same day and then turn my keys in at 6 PM. I originally called them a month ahead and scheduled a 9-11 AM window. 9 AM came around, and they didn't show up. So I waited. I called around 10:30 AM, just to confirm they were coming. They had a long move right before that took slightly longer than they thought, so they'll be there around 1. Okay, I'm understandable about that. I called a few more times because I was getting nervous with the time deadline. They said, realistically they'll be done around 4. That got me nervous and upset. However, the company called some off-duty workers to come help me move around 4 PM. While this was nice of them, and I definitely appreciated it, the only suggestion I have is to, either more accurately estimate their windows, or have more personnel on stand-by in case a move runs long. The actual movers themselves were fantastic. They were definite troopers for moving furniture and heavy boxes up three flights of stairs. In July heat, that is awesome. However, I did have some slightly damaged items. Without my permission, they took the stand off my 55" inch tv when they could have just moved it without it. They lost the screws, and when they pushed the stand back in, it cracked the back. I did purchase a VESA mount stand to replace that stand; however, I was slightly irritated, but it is what it is. My girlfriend's sofa couch was ruined, as they moved the uncovered couch with their dolly, giving it grease stains, so she will be getting rid of it. The other complaint I had, was they were focused on rushing the move and, therefore, were a little careless with my items. I appreciated on their speed, as I was paying hourly, but the carelessness made me worry. The price was in my budget ($650 for 4 hours of labor/truck + $100 tip), and I appreciate them for helping me out so quickly, but, I probably will be checking out another moving company next time.

⚠️WARNING ⚠️ DO NOT USE BIG BOYS MOVING COMPANY!!! So this company quoted us $3200 for our entire move (which was supposed to include storage) and provided a quote stating the move can be done in 9-11 hours in 1 day. They ended up taking 3 days and charging us $3800 for just the first leg of the move (not even including storage or delivery). The first leg was initially quoted $1600-$1900 (9-11 hours). Management refuses to discuss the inconsistencies with us. Only using bullying and threatening tactics to try to force us to pay for service that we dispute. This is clearly bait and switch. What are our legal recourses against this company? They are threatening to file a theft of services suit (although we offered a very generous settlement amount $3200 although the original quote for the first leg of the move was $1600). And they are threatening to sell our goods, I’m not so concerned about that but I’m wondering what the laws are on reference to bait and switch. I am posting online bc they have good reviews but they are truly not worrh it. This company is trash!!! STAY AWAY! What is our legal recourse for bait and switch if they refuse my more than fair offer? Attached is some of the back and forth with the company. They are rude as hell and the office staff won’t allow us to speak to management which is why I’ve resorted to posting on their page. And we’re Veterans. When they were trying to get our business they thanked us for our service, what an great way to treat Veterans.

Rahshaad and Carmen far exceeded all my expectations for professionalism, courtesy, and completing a tough move with efficiency and care. They paid extra attention to detail, and constantly asked for my input and clarification to dictate exactly how I wanted the move to go. They tackled everything with a can-do attitude and smiles on their faces, even moving things through pouring rain along a flooded sidewalk and carrying enormous furniture up twisting and narrow stairs without complaint. They even let us go back into the truck to find a super tiny part that was lost due to our error, and spotted it at the last moment. Also, Amanda handled my move-in quote and reservation and delivered excellent customer service. She quoted me the lowest price out of three chain moving companies I spoke with, she waived the fee for stairs in my townhome, and she even called to ask if I wanted the first time slot in the day so larger moves wouldn't run over and delay us. Everyone at Big Boys gave me specialized, attentive, and friendly service that made my move as enjoyable as possible. My furniture all looks perfect, and I couldn't be more pleased with my move. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Complete moving scam. Big Boys Moving scammed for father and I out of $744. My father, Anthony Hayles, scheduled my move with Big Boys for Thursday, August 22nd from 8 AM - 11 AM. My father was originally quoted at $469 for the move. We were informed that the time would be pushed back from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM and my father received a text stating that an additional 30 minutes would be added. Although, the additional time was greatly appreciated, it was not added to the final bill. Also the start time listed was incorrect the movers did not arrive until 1:20 PM. They arrived at the wrong unit and I stepped outside to inform them when I heard them knocking on neighbors door at unit 204. The movers were polite with the exception of one. While I am grateful that three movers were sent only two actually worked. The male with the dreadlocks got off the truck once to actually move things when we arrived at the storage unit. When they arrived at the storage site, Kurt attempted to charged my father's card without him or the movers notifying us of their final balance. They also did not fill out the moving time/hours/cost until the "contract" was already signed. Once my father's card was denied for $744, Kurt requested that they lock the truck without asking if I had an alternative form of payment. I felt as though we were being scammed. I approached the employees and let the know I had another form of payment and that's when the male with dreadlocks informed me of the amount. The end time was also incorrect the movers finished unloading at 4:46 PM. I would also like to point out that some of my items were damaged from moving. The employee with the dreadlocks dropped my couch twice at the storage facility (which is also on their security video), my white desk and chair having scratches because the protective covering was removed as soon as they pulled it from the truck. My bed frame is missing a wheel and screw and I can't use it. I also have a "live" photo of the couch being dropped. I contacted Shelby (the associate that my father originally spoke with) by email and I gave the company a week to respond. I never heard from them. I decided to check my storage unit and found additional damage to my headboard, tv stand, and clothes container from moving. Unfortunately I am unable to see if more damage was done since some of items are stacked.

I've used Big Boys 3 times now - and each time I am more satisfied than the time before! They are always prompt (or keep in great communication with you if they are running behind) and always very friendly. They have professionally trained movers and amazes me how efficiently they move my entire apartment. In 3 moves, they have never broken or scratched any of my furniture or walls! What's great about their pricing is that everything is included! Their prices are the best around. They don't charge trip or travel fees to get out to you, no extra for stairs or weekends or how far the parking lot is from the door or how heavy things are. Just the hourly charge. They bring all the blankets, dollies and moving pads....and even wardrobe boxes to hang your clothes!! Also when I called to book my last move, it was less than 3 days in advance, and they were still able to accommodate me on my first choice move date and time. Hopefully I won't be moving for a while - but when I do, I'll be calling Big Boys Moving again!

I had a medium size move I needed help with. Big Boys Moving went above and beyond to ensure my needs were not only meet but exceeded. Simply put, they executed on everything the way they were said they would. Packing was done well (nothing fragile broke). Moving was done efficiently. The Big Boys pack/move crew was incredibly friendly, helpful and hard working. One of the crew even took a couple minutes to re-inflate my Sleep Number bed for me - I didn't ask him to do so, he just did it. They were 2 hours late with no phone call. When they arrived (I am a single parent with 2 kids) I was told they would “expedite” my move for an additional tip of $150 PER MOVING PERSON AND THERE WAS THREE OF THEM!!!!!! If I didn’t have to be out of my condo on the day I took off work I would have told them to leave right then! Once my items were in the truck and we arrived at my new home I was told the price was going to be $200 more than what I was quoted on the phone and that they wouldn’t unload the truck until I agreed. I had to threaten to call the police to get my stuff out of the truck I don’t fault the guys, they were doing what their boss told them to. From conversation I gathered that turnover with the guys that do the moving at this company is horrendous. Nobody stays longer than a month or two. BUYER BEWARE - PICK A DIFFERENT COMPANY!!!

DO NOT HIRE! Don't be deceived by their seemingly affordable quotes over the phone. The movers intentionally move slowly to raise the rates. I was quoted for a 2-3 hour move from my 1 bedroom apt to my new home only 4 miles away. The two guys took over 2 hours just to empty my apt into the truck!! If they hadn't taken a smoke break every 20 minutes they would have finished the whole move in 3 hours, but instead it took 4.5 hours. A less than $400 move turned into a nearly $700 move because these two men decided to move as slow as possible.

CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!!! I am writing this almost 4 months after the move because I wanted to give the company several chances to correct their errors in a suitable manner......THEY DID NOT AND HAVE NOT.) This was the second time I used them for a small move, The first time was adequate, the second time was not. A year later, it was very different and upsetting. This time the movers showed up late and worked very slowly, complaining that they had worked a 15 hour day previously. The movers moved slowly and shrink wrapped everything, whether it needed it or not. Even as "carefully wrapped" as they were, they still broke a vintage mirror that belonged to my grandmother... Then, for a 10 minute overage, they charged us a FULL hour ($109) !! Even before finishing the move, they charged my debit account without authorization for the bill. It was a VERY unpleasant experience, and I have been unable to resolve my disputes after repeatedly contacting their customer service about my complaints. Truthfully my complaint is not with the moving crew but with the extremely unprofessional way the company deals with their customers. The movers were apologetic and called their boss to report the accident and sent photos to the office. We were repeatedly apologized to and told not to worry, the office will handle getting this replaced. Unfortunately, this story does not have a happy ending. As a result, two complaints: 1. Broken Antique Mirror 2. Over charged Trying to contact anyone at the office is a nightmare. They only handle claims via email. So I started our email chains and we received one resolution, for the mirror. The other issue was still open . I requested multiple phone calls to speak about this situation, with a response of no, that they only deal with claims via email. After multiple attempts to get a resolution, this basically ended with them hiding behind the contract . I was also informed that since I accepted payment for the mirror repair that all complaints were closed! To rub salt on an open wound, the claims rep handed us off to the office manager Susan, who then accused me of threats. It was not a threat it was a promise that if they did not do what was right , I would make my displeasure known far and wide. "Dear David: I understand that you are not satisfied however, you cashed the check indicating your agreement to the resolve. I am not permitted to refund money based on your threat of bad reviews. Again, I am sorry that we were not able to satisfy you. She explained specific details about how my move would take place and was prompt to answer all of my questions. Without my knowledge, one of the movers wheeled the dolly back in my unit while I was returning the large storage facility dolly. It took a week to learn where my dolly ended up. They did not even offer to return my dolly to me. Pretty disappointed.

I used the moving service on 9/26/17. One of the 2 persons had knee injury and couldn't do heavy lifting work and delayed the moving. But other person was fast enough to make up for other injured person. I don't know why Injured person was brought. But my concern was, while loading the furniture to the 2nd floor, .. oh.. so many damages to the dry wall all over along the steps and bed rooms. They seemed like they never moved furniture to 2nd floor. The person who made these damages told me that Maintenance person will come and fix as he openly accepted it as his fault. Customer service team told me that they are not responsible for damage to the property as I signed the waiver form. Don't hire Big Boys movers if you want safe and smooth move

We used Big Boys to move and had a wonderful experience. Charlie and Jonas were exceptional. They offered to arrive early which made our move so much easier. They were polite and professional during the entire move, even when the apartment complex we were moving out of decided to block the stairwell we were using to move without warning. I have been referring Big Boys Moving for 3 years to my prospects and residents moving out since I work in property management and have always stayed loyal to your company and have only continued to refer you. For the first time I referred you to someone very close to me which it my boss, she was moving from a 2x2 on a first floor to a 2x2 on a third floor no elevators. We were told that she should be looking at 4 hours. She had everything packed and disassembled sitting in her living room to make things easier. They took 2.5 hours to load the truck, they were extremely slow and had no sense of urgency. I have been in property management for years and I have moved more than 5 times and 2.5 hours to load a truck from a 2 bedroom apartment without any appliances just 3 beds completely broken down, a dining table, couch and boxes is extremely unacceptable. Once they finally get to the other place which because of the stairs we anticipated that unloading and carrying upstairs was going to be maybe 2 more hours became 4. One guy was throwing up due to the heat exhaustion and cramping which I completely understand because he is a human being but this delayed the job even more and on top of that my boss had to hydrate them and give them Gatorade that she bought because they were not prepared. While her husband went up and down the stairs to get stuff up 3 times they did 1 trip. The guys were very nice and I have nothing to say bad about their attitudes but unfortunately they don't have the training or experience necessary to do a move keeping reasonable time in mind. We timed them and they were taking 30 minutes in between going down and the up, we asked them why and they said they were creating a staging area but when we went down there were only a few items her family had to carry up themselves. Time was definitely not managed wisely, one guy down that barely went upstairs, her husband, her 3 daughters including a 6 year old had to help but she still got charged for 6 hours, she paid $733 to move from a 2 bedroom apartment in Tampa 2 miles away, now that to me is extremely high. I did all the schedule with Shelby and she did give me a discounted rate of $109 per hour taking into consideration all the costumers I refer to you, after this situation I have attempted twice to contact her and she is not responding to my emails, the only person that I have been able to speak with and has always been available for me is Lamar. Taking into consideration the years I have worked with you guys and the costumers I refer I expect someone to contact me and offer her some type of refund due to the horrible experience and stress that she had to go through and if Big Boys wants me to continue to refer them and putting their flyers out in our properties something must be done. I was holding back from writing a review giving you the opportunity to fix this before doing so but it has been more than a week since I wrote you guys and no one has reached back.

This company is the absolute worst and the ownership is lacking to say the least. They had a 2 hour window in which they set up from 4-6pm. I requested an hour call ahead and they have no after hours or after Friday call in number. I left multiple messages after they missed the first hour of their window. I received a call back from a woman who was absurd and rude who claimed that the window was estimated and hey would be over an hour later, so past 7pm just to pick my stuff up. When I let her know that would absolutely not work and requested a time for the next day she got very rude and claimed that she didn’t need lectures and would not put ownership on the phone claiming there were multiple investors which there are not. She also claimed that she would be charging my card for the cancellation fee even though I never cancelled and she refused to stop insulting me as a customer. Bottom line: is this company is a fraud and nobody should do business with them. The ownership and management are a joke and do not value anyone as a customer or their time. Be ware. Do Not use this company

Services were good enough other than being 45 minutes late. My biggest issue was with the quote we received. We were told repeatedly that we wouldn't be charged for driving time. We even verified this point with them. "We don't charge you for driving time", we were told. This was a huge selling point for us, and ultimately the reason we picked this company. The end of the move came and we were charged for the full time, including driving. At this point it was almost midnight, and the office was closed. So there was no way I could talk to someone about it. I called them another day and we figured out that what they MEANT by "We don't charge you for driving time" is "We don't begin the clock until the truck arrives at your address." Apparently some companies charge from the time they leave their warehouse. While that's nice, a lot of places don't charge from the warehouse, and the end result is I got charged for an hour that I shouldn't have been based on their vague explanation of their services. It's very misleading, and not offering to make amends for their vague description just leaves me feeling cheated. Unless this mix up is corrected and they do a better job of clarifying what they actually charge for, I won't consider using this company in the future, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. I got a call shortly after posting this. Kudos to them for that. However, they were still unwilling to credit me the hour in question. I'm really disappointed. This confusion caused by the original quote we received over the phone is my only hang up with this company. Had this been resolved I would have given them at least 4 stars. However, I make a point to not do business with companies unwilling to accept fault. It's a shame that 1 hour is all that is hurting this review and keeping away a potential repeat customer. 1 star remains.

I have been moving with the military for my entire life, every three years. This was by far the most over-charged, and lazy move I’ve ever experienced. This moving company originally estimated $1300 for our move, sent 3 men, and during the unload only 2 of the 3 were working for the last 2 hours. They ended up charging $1989. This price for a two bedroom apartment, with 1 easy 12 step wide, straight staircase to 2nd floor apartment. I was being charged for 3 men when really only one of them was working. Also, it took them 3 hours to drive a quick 45 minute drive from Clearwater to South Tampa. Then they told me I would be charged for every minute of the drive. Even though the drive should have taken no more than an hour and a half (making allowances for a big truck, not being rush hour) I complained to the lady Susan (later she claimed it was Shelby, never telling me her name was being incorrectly spoken but by that point I was upset, and she deflected me to someone else’s email) claiming that she could not issue refunds, yet I never received this email, or had anyone else reach out to make the situation right. This was a horrible experience. My family felt horribly taken advantage of, this move has never taken me more that 6 hours and I was just charged for 10 hours while they did not all work efficiently. And disappeared for 2 hours while I was being charged 189 an hour. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

One of our Tampa Bay area branches was forced to downsize and we needed to close this satellite office quickly. Big Boys Moving and Storage was the only company that responded within our time constraints with the great rates and a professional quote. They worked around our schedule, did not ask us to make concessions to fit their needs. They did not turn us down because of the short notice we provided. Big Boys staff maintained communication with me until the move and even notified the morning of our move to confirm that we were still on schedule and details on movers eta. Before the movers began they discussed the details about all items, such as certain items going to one location and other items going to another and how to load the truck for the most efficient use of time and resources. I would recommend this company to any individual or company that is looking professional movers to relocate. Their staff was courteous and punctual and driven by customer satisfaction. Do not use this company! I came down to Tampa to help my friend move back home. The pickup time at first was between 1-3 and when they didnt show up it took 3 of us and 12 phone calls later to find out that they moved the pickup time between 3-5 and then they moved it AGAIN between 4-6. All in all they never showed up! 6 hours later and they never showed up. We waited around all day for this company to have them not show up and we had to be on the road to new york tonight. They lied to my friends mother about calling us to let us know they were changing the time and the man she spoke to was very rude and inconsiderate. He also told us that he would find out a estimated eta because we had more moving errands to run today and never called back. So we called back about 6 times in 1 hour and no answer still. Noone answers the phone at the number they provide. I dont know who runs the show there but this was the most horrific moving experience. Out of the 3 times ive moved around, this has been the worst and it wasnt even for me.

My family just moved from Tampa to a cute liitle place called Ozona near Palm Harbor and had a wonderful experience with Big Boys Moving & Storage company. We had a somewhat complicated situation as our move had multiple parts to it. We had our four bedroom home that needed moving but also had a couple of storage units that we had a ton of my husbands tools and a lot of his other junk in it. This meant that we would need two trucks and perfect planning so it would be loaded correctly and mainly so it would all fit. The lead man Doug managed all of his men really well and the everything flowed smoothly. We have moved many time in and around and across the entire State of Florida and needed a full service move with packing and unpacking. We needed all the packing supplies and Big Boys came thru as needed. They brought everything. They brought the right tools for bunk beds and even took down our tv stands off the walls. They had zipper baggies they wrote on and didn't lose any of the screws. They were smart when taking things apart. They took pictures with their phones as they went along so they could refer back to it when putting things back together. I would never have thought of that. I guess that's why they are the pros. They asked me as they went along if I felt they were wrapping my things good enough. They asked if there was anything that needed extra care. They really cared that I was happy and cared about our things. Once my house was fully loaded they followed us to storage and quickly got moving. My husband and I had a bet that it wouldn't all fit. I won. He lost. They got it all in. It was amazing to watch. It was a careful thought process. They had a name for and called it Tetris said like a video game. They wowed us. When they arrived at our new home they worked as expediently as the start getting everything in the places I wanted and put everything back together perfectly. This move was the greatest ever. This company and their movers are highly trained experts in their profession. If your looking for the best of the best be sure to call Big Boys Moving. You won't be disappointed!!!!

BEWARE**DO NOT USE**I want to start off by saying that we were a return customer of Big Boys Moving, and had a pleasant experience the first time. Unfortunately, our second move with this company was not as seamless. From the moment our window of 8-10am for movers anticipated arrival time had surpassed, we began to worry. We understand our home was not considered a “local move”, however still in the same county, and we were responsible for a fuel surcharge. We could have chosen a more local company for our move, but since we had a good experience previously we had no problem paying this extra fee,, hoping to have the experience we had prior- unfortunately this was not the case. The movers were “stuck in traffic” and showed up over an hour late to their provided arrival window. Fine- not a big deal. Until the office informed us the time starts once they are in the moving truck. So here we are over $200 in to the day, and nothing has been moved or even touched. The movers arrive and quickly load up the truck and head to the final destination (about a mile down the road). Our first “claim” happened, when one movers was rushing to put my grandmother’s (yes, a very fragile heirloom) curio cabinet with curved glass side panels into place, when he pushed so hard on the glass he pushed his hand right through the glass panel and broke it. Devastated is an understatement on how I felt at that moment. The mover was apologetic and called his boss to report the accident and sent photos to the office. We were repeatedly apologized to and told not to worry, the office will handle getting this replaced. Unfortunately, this story does not have a happy ending. Our next “claim” happened when the same mover was moving my dresser and he broke two legs off of it. Our third and final “claim”, by the very same individual, occurred right after my husband told the movers they may want to move the truck forward because they were too close to our house, and when they unloaded a deep freezer they drove the corner right into the archway to the entrance of our home. Again this mover in particular was very apologetic, but assured us that everything will be taken care of nothing to worry about things like this happen and get fixed right away without any issue. NOT THE CASE. Trying to contact anyone at the office is a nightmare. It only rings the sales office and no one will direct you to claims other than via email. So we started our email chains and we received one resolution, which was a furniture repairman that we had to schedule to fix our dresser. The other two issues were still at large. We requested multiple phone calls to speak about this situation, with a response of no, that they only deal with claims via email. After multiple attempts to get a resolutions, they finally offered to give us $60.00 to replace the curved glass panel of our curio cabinet ($0.60 per pound assuming 100 pounds), which will cost us close to $600 to actually replace due to the nature and intricacy of the curved glass panel. Additionally, they then told us they will not cover the damage that was done to our archway, so that is an additional cost to us to fix. On top of all this mess, the claims rep handed us off to the office manager Susan, who then accused my husband of being rude via email and bringing up gender as if he was some type of sexist, which is ridiculous to even make that assumption. Had she done her job, and taken the time to actually return our calls, she would have then heard what type of tone he had because one cannot simply HEAR a tone via email. To summarize this long winded and extremely detail oriented review, I would NEVER recommend, ANYONE use this company, and if you do, just pray their movers are on time and don’t break anything because their “customer service” and claims process is an absolute nightmare, not to mention a joke.

BB's moved me from Brandon to Temple Terrace a couple of days ago. Nelson & Martin arrived on time, extremely professional, did not waste time to cost me money. They were really efficient & very considerate of my wallet and my personal belongings. I would 5 star the entire experience, unfortunately had a problem after the fact. BUT, Frank from the BB office called me and made it right...so that really impressed me. When I do business with a company I want to do business with companies that care about their customers and their own reputation. So I will call them again.

The absolute worst moving experience ever. First off, they took 17 hours to move from a 4 bedroom house to another 4 bedroom 1/4 mile down the road and tried to convince me this was normal. Everything was already carefully packed except for the pieces which required wrapping. Since it was taking so long, my wife and I ended up moving a lot of the stuff ourselves. We've moved before and it never took even half that long nor did we have to move our own furniture. We moved from 1500 miles away and it didn't cost a whole lot more than these guys charged either. As an added bonus they caused significant damage. At the very least I was hoping they would own up to it and try to make it right. First they tried to convince me I caused the damage! Then they finally agreed to send a wood repair guy to make his assessment and repair what he could. He did that quite nicely for all but one piece - dining room table - was scratched beyond repair. They deny responsibility and tell me that they would only compensate if it was totally destroyed! To add insult to injury, they claim they would only pay $.60/lb for damages. It was a brand new table from Haverty's. In the end, they are paying ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. While putting stuff together in our new home, we did find some other dents and scratches which were not there before. This experience has been a total rip off clearly demonstrated by the unbelievable amount of time, damage caused and an absolute lack of integrity in dealing with the aftermath. If you want real professionals, call somebody else!....also received a response apparently "from the owner" stating that they would be happy to discuss my concerns directly etc. Still trying to find out if this was a standard automatic reply to any bad reviews or if there's a real person behind it....well it's been over a week I've been trying to get in touch with "the owner" since he so kindly indicated he wanted to discuss all my issues. I've tried calling, email to customer service, texts and calls to Rodney and still nothing. I get the distinct impression they have absolutely no interest in making it right.

Not only was everything put into my brand new storage shed in a disorderly fashion, but I also discovered that multiple items were damaged including new, expensive wardrobe boxes (all caved in with the clothes all off hangers) which defeats the purpose I got them for (to grab dresses with ease) and a costume I had in there damaged, my bins damaged w fragile items in them, they stepped on my bedroom canvas leaving shoeprints, along with dirty hand prints on my un wrapped box spring, & multiple damages items. I contacted the president and he was extremely rude, had no sympathy, and said "his men" nor his company were liable for any damages; thus he did not give me any of my money back. Unbelievable...I don't understand how this company can have as many positive reviews as they do. They are heartless and unprofessional. have friends who have used Two Men & a Truck and have had great success so when I move again I will be using them.

Was referred to Big Boys by the property manager of my new apartment. Love this company! Professionals from start to finish. They wrapped and blanketed my furniture and loaded it super fast. Set it all back up at my new place just as fast with no damage. The movers worked really well together. They knew what to move and when to move it and were nonstop. I had a move performed by Big Boys in May 2017. I would like to express my dissatisfaction and disappointment with Big Boys Moving. Both movers seemed as though they had never moved before. While they adequately wrapped most of the furniture, the mattresses were not put in bags (as I had been promised). They did not have any tools for furniture assembly or tape, which, for a moving company, I find shocking. They didn't seem to have experience loading or unloading the truck, frequently carrying large or heavy items alone when clearly, working as a team would be more efficient and easier. They dropped several things due to carelessness, and I observed them casually throwing delicate items (such as dresser drawers) into the truck. It appeared that neither had much (if any) training. They marked up several walls with furniture due to sloppiness. They took countless smoke breaks and seemed unmotivated to complete the move with any expediency. Additionally, I was moving an 1100 square foot apartment and it took 9 hours. I find this ridiculous as I moved myself last summer the same amount of items and the move was complete in less than 3 hours. The guys attempted to disassemble things like bunkbeds screw by screw, when clearly that was not necessary and time consuming. I hired a moving company as I was expecting professionals with vast knowledge of packing and transporting items in a quick and efficient manner. For the excessive price of $1170, I regret hiring Big Boys and wish I had just moved myself. In particular, the Big Boys website claims below were certainly not true for me. Our trained Tampa Movers are reliable, careful and friendly. At Big Boys Moving & Storage Company “We treat your personal property and prized possessions as if they were our own! The guys were punctual and courteous and were somewhat more careful (at least while I was watching) when I asked them to be. I would also like to mention that I called the office on several occasions and everyone I spoke with was friendly and knowledgeable, and that gave me confidence that the company was reliable and would do an impressive job. I am highly disappointed and cannot fathom how there are so many positive reviews or how Big Boys was rated #1 in Tampa Bay. Perhaps my experience was unique, but I am doubtful. I do not typically leave reviews but will certainly be leaving a negative review for Big Boys in hopes that others can avoid a miserable move.

Text book example of "Bait & Switch". So this company quoted me $3200 for my entire move (which was supposed to include storage and delivery) and provided a quote stating the move can be done in 9-11 hours in 1 day. They ended up taking 3 days and charging us $3800 for just the first leg of the move (not even including storage or delivery). The first leg was initially quoted $1600-$1900 (9-11 hours). Management refuses to discuss the inconsistencies with us. Only using bullying and threatening tactics to try to force us to pay for service that we dispute. I even offered a very generous settlement amount $3200 (although the original quote for the first leg of the move was $1600) and I have yet to receive a response from management. And they are threatening to sell our goods, I’m not so concerned about that. And to add insult to injury, their truck leaked oil in our driveway damaging our property and they have not even addressed that. I’m wondering what the laws are in reference to breach of contract, bait and switch and price gouging.
