I booked this company for a move because they stated that they would be able to accommodate the specific dates that I needed due to a job offer. They had great reviews so I wasn’t as hesitant about using them. I was charged extra for stairs which was expected. They stated that my delivery date would be 3-5 days from pickup. Whenever I called to get an updated eta from the company, I was spoken to very rudely on the phone and hung up on because “they didn’t have time to deal with me”. They did not finally deliver until 930 at night 8 days later. When they arrived they tried to charge me additional money for a set of stairs although I had already paid that fee. They would not unpack my belongings until that was cleared up and did not begin unpacking until 1030 pm. When I began unpacking my belongings, I noticed that my things were rummaged through and items of mine that I packed in specific boxes were stolen. I contacted the movers and they stated that they would have someone contact me regarding the issue and I have yet to hear from anyone from the company. DO NOT USE GROVESTARS MOVING.

I used this company last year and it was excellent. Then I made the horrible mistake of using different movers for a temp move until my new place was ready and it was like night & day — not even close. So when my place was ready I was eager to use GroveStars and again they didn’t disappoint on both cost & service. I recommend anyone that have the opportunity to use them — go ahead it will probably be your best & most cost efficient move using a moving company.

Absolutely horrible!!!!!! I have moved several times. One time was also a bad experience with a Nother company. I informed Michael of this and was assured they were gonna make our move as stress-free as possible. However that is not what we got. If there was a way to give them negative stars I would! Ended up having to pay thousands more than what we were quoted! Also still had to rent a u-Haul 16 ft moving truck. Load it and unload it ourselves and furniture arrived damaged very disappointed and disgusted. I feel they give it to you with no lube!

The intent of this review is to be honest and fair - I rarely leave reviews but felt compelled to do so because moving is such a stressful process and I want others to have a good picture of this company prior to making a decision. My wife and I moved from West Palm Beach to North Carolina. We got several quotes and narrowed our choice to Greek Moving and Grovestars. Both were similarly rated so we decided to go with the cheaper quote - Grovestars . The Quoting process: We were moving our stuff from a 1450 square ft single family home. GroveStars quoted us at $2,800 by doing an inventory over the phone (they came up with 845 cubic feet); when I asked the salesperson Todd to have someone come in person to give a more accurate quote, he refused. He said that based on the inventory I gave him over the phone, the cubic footage would not change one way or the other by more than a few hundred so there was no need to come in person. On moving day, the additional cubic footage (230) brought the price up by another $750; add in the fuel surcharge (10%), packing materials (they were trying to use as much packing material as possible) and required tip (10%) it brought the total cost to $4100. So basically, they low-balled us on the quote and nickel & dimed us on moving day. Greek Moving came in person and gave us a flat rate of $4600 to come in, put our clothes in free wardrobe boxes, package our TVs for us and take care of everything (we had all of our other belongings boxed up). Moving out day: Three guys came to our home and it took them about 3.5 - 4 hours to load the truck. I will say that they did a nice job protecting our furniture - everything was wrapped and protected properly. The only item that was damaged from the move was a floor lamp, and they were reckless at certain points of the process (see photos of the door frame they damaged in our home trying to force a couch out of our guest room). Overall I would say that they were not professional; we gave them water bottles and Gatorade, when they left they tossed the empty bottles in our front yard. I would not have tipped them 10% - to me they did not earn that. Moving in day: I will say that GroveStars was accommodating in getting our belongings to NC timely. They picked everything up on Friday, and delivered it by Tuesday afternoon. The move-in crew was 10 times better then the crew that picked up our belongings - they were awesome, especially Alex. They were very friendly and even helped us in the layout of our furniture. They are the main reason why I am leaving a 3-star review. Overall, I would not recommend GroveStars because I feel that they are unethical in their business practices - they low-balled us on the initial quote to get the business, then when time came to move we had no other option but to stay with them when they increased the price. They made the moving process more stressful for us, and in hind sight I wish we would have paid a little bit more to go with Greek Moving (a co-worker of mine used them in the past 3 months for the same move and he said they did an amazing job; he had no complaints). Another benefit of going with Greek moving is that you would not have to share a truck; you would get a direct delivery. Also, Todd claimed that what set them apart was their customer service - I disagree with completely. While Todd was available by cell phone and responsive, no one from the company gave us one follow up call to see how the move went. If they did, I would have given this feedback to them directly. I hope this helps!

We searched long and hard to find a reasonably priced, great rated moving company to move us cross country. We found GroveStar and thought we had found exactly what we were looking for. BOY WE COULDNT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG. #1 our belongings were promised on a Friday by the sales person and didn’t arrive until Monday. # MULTIPLE damage was done to our furniture. Seriously. I have in excess of 50 pictures of broken, scaped, or gouged areas in my many beautiful expensive solid wooden furniture pieces. # 3 the movers broke my vintage glass storm door. #4 the movers put a hole in my wall while going up my stairs #5 numerous boxes were crushed #6 When we contacted customer service about the damage, they referred us to an outside company to file a claim for all of the damage #7 WE ARE HAVING TO DO ALL OF THE WORK BUT THEY DID ALL OF THE DAMAGE. #8 Customer service at GroveStar has completely forgotten about us since outsourcing is to a third party due to the damage that they did to OUR property. In the beginning these guys were really nice. But that was before our move. We trusted them with our entire house full. We felt like we did our due diligence to find the best company based on customer reviews and felt comfortable with our choice and our stress was greatly reduced once we had made our decision to hire GroveStar Moving. Well, we’ve moved. Our furniture is here. It’s damaged. We have a broken front door and a hole in the wall and GroveStar has dismissed us to a third party. So if you decide to trust this company with your precious belongings, I strongly suggest that you purchase the very expensive insurance and not just take the basic insurance that comes with the moving contract. We trusted that our stuff would be handled with care based on the all of the great reviews. Well this experience has taught us a very hard lesson. There are no words to express how deeply we are regretting that we didn’t purchase extra insurance. They kissed our butt to close the deal butt as soon as the move was over and the damage was done...we were kicked to the curb. I’ve thought long and hard about leaving this review. I hated to leave such a scathing review, but this experience has been horrific and I felt like that others needed to know how the customer is treated when things go wrong.

Really great guys at a really affordable price. They were able to do my short small move in under 2hrs without any damage to my items. Everything was wrapped extremely well and the guys didn't waste a minute getting the items out of the apartment, down to the truck and up to my new apartment.

If there is minus 5 stars I would give them. Jay the one who hunts their victims will just call you and speak with you till he charged you thousands of dollars then he will disappear. Then a very rude agly lady called Pauline might sent you a message after a month of moving to inform you that your furniture is not shipped yet and won't be shipped soon so please don't make headache to her. Basically the Worst American Movers is a gang of thieves so DON'T EVER WORK WITH THEM.

I have moved several time and this was probably one of the worst moving experience. Do not be fooled by their high ratings and cheap cost as their service seems to have declined and you will be hit will also sorts of adders during the time of your move. There are four reasons why I have given them such a low rating: 1. Cost of the move: The sales agent quoted me a really good price and they had really great reviews. Therefore, I decided to go with these guys. Little did I know that I would be charged extra during the time of the move. Make sure you clarify costs related to following: - Packaging: they will do the packing, but will charge you for packing material like tape, bubble wrap and such. This was not really specified when I was talking to the sales agent - Long carry: they will charge you $75 or more if the distance from your door to the truck is more than 75ft. if you are moving apartments, you will most likely end up paying this fee - Tips: account for this on top of what you have been quoted 2. Delivery time: The team did not provide a clear timeline on when they will show up. My delivery date got moved several time and I had to follow-up with them multiple time before I could get a straight answer from them. 3. Moving team: The team that packs your equipment and the team that delivers your equipment is not the same. Therefore, make sure the team that is packing your stuff is packing things correctly and putting things in the right place. They lost some screws for my bed and I had to pay extra money to the team delivering my furniture to make sure things get assembled properly. 4. Customer service - the sales guys will be super nice to you when they are trying to get your business. However, they were super unresponsive once they had the possession of my furniture.

The absolute worst moving experience of my life. They treated my items like trash and garbage and did a horrible job! almost everything i own is broken scratched dented dinged or missing. They threw my expensive artwork and mirrors in the truck with no wrap at all and damaged or broke all most every piece. My furniture that has glass shelves is broken. Mirrored vanity broken glass on two drawers. Antique lamp broken glass globe. Antique mirror broken in two pieces. My off white sofa was so dirty from them no wrapping it properly and dragging it on one side Matrsses they threw in the dirty truck with no wrap! I had to have them professionally cleaned. Dining table dented. My desk and crendenza and hutch dents eveywhere. Broken moldings on antique dresser. They also turned all my dressers and cabinets on their side and all the contents poured out and it was a huge mess! Still recovering! I am so pissed! Never seen a job like that! Another moving company that cane to my storage unit to pick up the stuff and deliver said that it was the absolute worst pack and move job they ever saw!

I don't normally leave reviews for services or products. They did quote a low price and we finalized exactly what we had to move. We were quoted a very reasonable price, do not be deceived by this alone. We packed our own home accept for the big furniture, which I was told they would handle and they did. At a charge that was not disclosed. They hit me for packing material at an extremely inflated charge! And fuel surcharge, which I asked about in my reservation. That we would not see any other charges. The fuel charge was $520.00 I was told an exact date of delivery would not be a problem, just let them know in advance. I did, and was told that was not possible, it wold be a three day window. We either had a miscommunication, or something else. But this was a big issue with me since I have very limited time off from work. I recommend you do not sign one piece of paperwork until everything is unpacked!! This is important, as if anything is broken, lost or damaged you are saying all is cool. I had several items broken, and am now fighting with the insurance company who is elusive as an army sniper, and virtually impossible to get ahold of. Do not let them take anything from the move. I pass this along because my cost went up over $1500 from my quote and the claim process for damaged goods is pathetic. I would choose wisely people. Bottom line is moving companies as a whole are very deceptive and unethical. Again cover every angle or simply do it yourself, which I will do. I've never hired movers before, and never will again.

I have never experienced such a pleasant and easy moving experience as I did with using Alex and the whole crew at Grovestars Moving. I will definitely recommend to friends, family and co-workers. Their prices were great and I did not pay a penny more than what was on the estimate. They took good care of my belongings and not a single thing was broken. After seeing how careful and detailed they were packing and moving I decided to trust them with my grandmothers Italian pottery collection that has been handed down for 2 generations. Not a single valuable scratched or broken! It is really hard to find companies that take such pride in taking care of their customers. I didn't really plan on hiring a moving company considering I'm moving into a small apartment but quickly realized I had a lot more furniture than I could handle by myself. This was my first big move so i was really freaking out about what it was going to cost me and if i could trust other people to not damage all the new furniture i just bought. I was really surprised and pleased when the Best American Movers guys showed up and did everything for me in a really efficient manner while still showing special care for my things! My previous experiences moving have been stressful and hard but Best American Movers made the dreadful task of moving a million times easier on me. All my furniture and personal belongings arrived free from any damage and I barely had to lift a finger. Definitely recommend calling these guys for your next move.

I put my information to get a quote on a move. The associate called back the next morning, and quoted me an astronomical amount without even hearing the specifications that I was inquiring about. The customer service associate sounded like he was in a rush to Get me off the phone so he just spewed out a random, obscenely large number and told me to call him back at a later time. I left the converstaiin feeling as though I was an inconvenience. This isn’t how customer service representatives should treat a potential client no matter when they decide to move. Needless to say I WILL NOT be utilizing this moving company. I have also noticed upon reading the later reviews that there is a trend of repetitive responses from the company that attempts to discredit any naysayers. I don’t understand why a company would want to discredit feedback so badly unless the reviews were tremendously effecting business. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!!! Copied response from the company; “Please stop doing this! We don't even know you, we never moved you or had any business with you. If you are competitor please deserve your business with excellent customer service and great job not with messing up reputation other companies!!!!!“ UPDATE: Todd called me from his personal cell phone at 1:20pm, only moments after I posted my review, to apologize. Not only did he NOT apologise, he defended himself! And why would a customer service representative call from their personal phone number when I am definitely NOT a loyal client?? Just seems EXTREMELY shady. I will be reporting them to the BBB. This is not how a professional moving business should run! I think it’s strange that I have been getting prank phone calls from health insurance agencies looking for Ima Kahunt and Mike Hunt not even a couple of days after the incident with Todd. Please be careful giving your number out to these scam artists folks. You don’t know if you’ll get a quote, or telephonic harassment from these scam artists! Changing my number after over 30 phone calls for health insurance and delivery movers just today alone!-5/16/18

Worst move I have ever experienced and I have moved 7 times with professional movers . All I can say is this company is definitely not that! They are very unprofessional, I was rudely spoken to by the quality assurance guy Todd and Bobby was great before the move but once the move started it all went down hill . I moved from Kentucky to Texas and was originally told my stuff would be delivered 3-7 days, I still have yet to receive my furniture. Every time I speak to them I am given a different timeframe. Not only that but don't believe a word they tell you on the cost . I was originally quoted $3952 for the move and after they packed the truck that they couldn't fit all of my stuff on and I had to leave behind because they also had someone else's stuff on the truck, my cost went up to $7700!!!!! I completely regret not going with a more established and larger moving company because Grovestars is nothing but scammers. I just pray that my stuff is not completely ruined once I receive it. Especially since I was informed after the fact that once it was taken back to the warehouse they were going to be loading it onto another truck.

Absolutely Terrible Experience I thought I did my do diligence in researching several moving companies but I should have triple checked. A lot of the companies I looked up were rather shady. When I found GroveStars, I read reviews and verified that this was a legit moving company. I called and set up my move on a Wednesday for the following Sunday. I asked a lot of questions and made sure I was prepared for the move. My last phone call I was told I could pay with a money order or cash. Cash was not an option for me so I got a money order. Fast forward to the day of the move. My husband and boxed and bagged our belongings to be ready for our 3pm appointment. I received a phone call from the office stating they would get there no later than 5pm, which turned into 6pm. When the movers got to my apt they refused to park on the street and called into the office stating it was a police officers threatening to write a ticket if they parked the truck there and left. My husband explained to the office manager that there were no police anywhere and that they needed to start the move. After going back and forth on who was going to pay a ticket if one was given, the movers came back at 6:10pm. They got off the truck and started moving. At around 6:25pm the foreman whips out a blank contract and demands we sign it. We refused and the movers stopped working. after going back and forth again with the office manager the foreman fills out the contract and the movers continue. Mind you, I was sent a contract on Wednesday detailing 3 hour 3 movers for a set rate and past 3 hours an hourly rate. The contract should have been printed to be signed the day of. The move it self was not good. The movers were tired from the previous move and moved very very very slow and also used 6 rolls of moving tape. Our apt was less than 800 square ft. We only had 4 things that were wrapped in tape and we started off with a half a roll a tape that we already had. By the time we got to the new apt we knew that the movers were going over time so my husband called the office manager and asked him to knock off an hour if he helped. So he sweated like he was a mover to bring the smaller items in. The movers stopped working at 11pm, asked for water when all of our cups were packed up since we were MOVING The head mover proceeded to try to charge use for 5 hours when it was already confirmed we were paying 4. Also we had to pay $4 a piece plus tax for all the tape they wasted. After 20 min of arguing about the finally rate, we handed over the money order and they foreman refuses to take it, saying it was counterfeit. He only took it after 10 mins of arguing and screen shooting a picture of it to the office manager. During that 10 min argument the foreman threaten to call the police several times because of the very real money order that came from Publix. This whole experience was a scam. We hired a moving company because we have a 2 month old, my husband works long hours during the week and we did not want to deal with the hassle of moving. Instead we ending up very tired, stressed, and with a feeling of being scammed going into the work week. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Please BEWARE!!!!!! NOT A STRESS FREE MOVING COMPANY.

Really disappointed with my experience. THE MOVERS REALLY SCREWED US OVER. I had booked on a Wednesday and was told that they were available the following day from 2-4 pm. I received a call the day of the move to say that they were running late...no problem, I understood. I then received a call an hour later saying that they would not be able to make it at all that day. Again, I understood. They rescheduled me for the following day again from 2-4 pm. I received a phone call yet again saying they would be late. The movers did not arrive until 6 PM......6 PM!!!! When they arrived, the driver of the truck told me that they could not find parking and could not do the job. He argued with me about why his truck could not fit in any of the parking spots (although the building I was in had a loading dock that he refused to drive by and attempt to park in). I told him that after so many disappointments, the least he could do was park their truck in the loading dock that fits an 18-wheeler truck (though his was much smaller). He agreed. He told me he would come around to the loading dock and NEVER CAME BACK. I called him to ask why he left without warning and he told me my money had been refunded and that he was done with me. TERRIBLE service. SO UNPROFESSIONAL after two days of being understanding of their mistakes with my booked service. The truck driver was rude, insulting and yelled at me though I was his paying customer.

I was extremely happy with my move from New York to Florida. All the people in the office were very polite and always stayed in touch with me throughout the move. This company does not even deserve one star!!! I spoke with Todd, a very rude "gentleman" who told me that I "woke up on the wrong side of the bed"!!!!! I'm reporting them to the BBB. Do NOT use this company for any of your needs!! Instead of calling me about a quote, he sent me a text message!! Then when I immediately replied he told me he was "watching basketball and count talk right now". All I have to say is WOW!! NOT a good way to run a business at all. I called the company and he answered the phone and wouldn't even let me speak with someone else! Please, give your money to a company who actually has respect for their customers!!!

I was quoted a price that was reasonable. When they showed up, they charged me 1500 more than the quote. I had to accept because I had no other choice. They quoted me with small bins and boxes. When they arrived, they stated it was not small. I was never asked the size of my boxes/bins.

These guys are great!!! I was in need of a fast turn around on moving quote and had very little time to move and they were able to help me all the way with an excellent service and follow through. The three man crew I was assigned was on time and made sure I was out of there in as little time as possible. I had packed most of my stuff but whatever was left they packed with great care and made sure all furniture items were carefully wrapped, they even took apart (and put back together) a piece of furniture that was not going to fit through the door. On the new site they offloaded everything with the same care a swiftness as before. making sure they were not obstructing the neighbors or moving the truck when needed. I would definitely recommend using them for your move.

I don't usually rate and review products and services, but these guys deserve one. By far, the worst moving experience I had in my life. They moved me from Georgia to Indiana. The company send two crew members for a job of four in the first leg of the move. For the two movers to pick up my stuff took about 14 hours even though I only asked them to pack 1/3 of my stuff in boxes. Bobby (the sales person) had quoted me around $4600 for the move, but at 1am (once the crew members are done loading their truck), they told me that the cost moved up to $7400 since the truck is almost full. Even though Bobby assured me that there won't be any big surprises in price since he calculated volume of the move item by item and confident that it will occupy about 60% of the truck, I got charged $2800 extra. After countless calls to Bobby for the price adjustment after the first leg, I had no outcome. During the first leg of the move, the two crew members messed up the inventory of the items picked, many items were either numbered incorrectly, not numbered at all, or numbered twice. Due to that, I wasn't able to check whether I received everything back, for example some of my items like my ladder was lost during the move (I don't know what else yet). Further, they forgot to pick up the frame of my son's bed that night, but luckily they picked it up the next morning. Last but not least, they didn't properly pack the furniture with sufficient padding, thus, I received many of my furniture with either scratches or broken (for instance the broken glass of my microvawe oven). Even though Bobby explained to me that their company is a carrier, but not a broker for about ten minutes on the phone, they sent two movers (not four again) not affiliated with the company in the second leg of the move. Luckily, these guys were very high skilled movers. They deliver my boxes and furniture half the time of the first leg and put all unassembled furnitures together in couple of hours. I can say that those two movers were the only good thing about this company I guess due to the fact that they are not really working for this company. My recommendation to you is to throw away your stuff and buy new ones rather than letting these guys to move them. As a friendly suggestion, don't be fooled by their high ratings and stay away from this company at any cost!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This is the worst most unprofessional service I have came in contact with. I took a leap of faith moving from Georgia to Baltimore with hopes of all of my furniture and electronics being sent to me with out damages unfourntely that’s not what I got. My 42” brand new Tv never once used came to me with a huge crack down the screen. I then called the company to see what my steps are or if there are any reimbursement options. Granted yes I was fustrated. But whomever I spoke with was extremely rude and told me I can file a claim online where they will take a month and only give me $30 dollars or I can talk to him nicely and he can work on a better claim. I work in hospitality and have for years. For them not to even consider my fustration and threaten me instead is completely unprofessional. If you are looking to have your items moved safely by considerate company Grove Stars Moving is not the right company. Not to mention I spent over $2000 with this company. Worst choice ever!!

I have never written a review regarding any product or service, generally, because I prefer to maintain a limited online footprint. GroveStars Moving is the single worst decision I've made through the internet. After thorough research and reading reviews I hired Grovestar to move my wife's furniture and belongings from NC to OH. Olga emphasized the quality of Grovestar and downplayed cheaper companies. Grovestar did a great job packing all of the items. The final price was significantly higher than the quoted price because the actual weight of the move was higher. We were ok with paying more as long as the service was good. Problems started with the movers arriving 4 business days later than the latest projected date in Ohio. My wife was forced to live in an empty apartment without a bed for a week while starting work. Upon arrival, our king size memory foam mattress was soaked with water. We had to discard the mattress, carrying it down to the dumpster ourselves because the movers did not know what to do about the soaked mattress. Our bedroom furniture was purchased in High Point, NC and is pretty good quality. The dresser had cracks through the wood with chips along the edges, also looked as if the dresser had been soaked in water. Finally, there were packages missing. All of this was disappointing but this was just the beginning. We had ignorantly taken the basic insurance which covered $0.60/lb. The company was very difficult communicate with throughout this process and never had any answers. We were referred to a separate claims company. The claims company insisted we mail pictures and letters through post. We spoke with an attorney and cooperated with the claims company's request. Now >1 month after delivery, the company has offered a total of $54 in compensation for the damage secondary to the move. We paid over $2,000 for our move. Considering the mattress by itself weighed 100lbs, the compensation is pathetic. Our dumbest mistake throughout this process was recommending Grovestart to multiple friends prior to the moving process being completed. Grovestar received at least 2 more moving contracts based off our recommendation. I can only hope those moves went better than ours.

Our move was on May 17 from Hallandale to Miami Beach and it was by far the best moving experience we've ever had! From start to finish, everyone we worked with was professional, efficient and helpful! Alex was our moving consultant and he was flexible and patient. The two men who moved our furniture arrived right on time and were efficient yet careful. Everything was in perfect shape when they delivered it, and they assembled all the furniture without any problems!! The pricing was more than fair and there were no hidden costs . All in all - best movers ever, and we will definitely use them again!!!

My move from Delray Beach to Marietta, GA just outside Atlanta, was an easy one. At least I thought so before I started packing my stuff. I decided to leave most of my furniture behind and take only few antic pieces me and my wife love so much. I came up with about 50 boxes first day packing and still I had a lot of stuff left for the movers to pack. They came next day and the number of boxes doubled. Foreman Russel told me that my antique furniture needs special crating and there is no way I can send it just like regular furniture. There was an additional charge for that of course but I don't want nothing to happen to my beloved antique pieces. My stuff arrived in 6 days which was perfect timing for us we had time to set new furniture in our house. Everything was safe and sound. I will totally recommend.
