There’s a special place in hell for their customer service people. They make you quickly sign a contract before you can do anything and then farm you out to another moving company (that is even worse than them) and when the price goes up $2300 over estimate, even though we took less than we contacted for, all we got was “you signed the contract”.

American Standard Moving and Storage is one of the slightly pricier options in the city but was well worth it. The guys are clean, polite, kind and don’t smell like smoke. The customer service from the staff at the office is great.They helped ensure my move went smoothly and stress free. The guys took about 8 hours for a 2 bed, 2 bath (we have quite a lot of stuff) and we also had a couple unexpected delays to the garbage truck but the guys kept working through and always were very reassuring. I recommend them for the move!!

Absolutely horrible experience. I was moving from a small town right on a major interstate across the country. Brian Sanchez, a sales guy, told me he would be my direct point of contact for the whole move, and gave me his direct cell number-telling me to contact only him with questions or arrangements. I paid a huge amount to reserve my move more than 3 weeks in advance, then had increasing trouble getting in touch with Brian. I called the Friday before my Wed/Thurs pick up to confirm my move, and spoke to Jessica-she went out of her way to be rude, condescending, and unpleasant. She told me I was never to contact them, they would reach out to me the following week, but my move would go ahead as scheduled with a Wednesday pick up, then hung up on me-and cancelled my move in their system. When I followed up again the next week because I didn’t get the scheduling call they’d promised, I first spoke to a lovely woman who was very confused by my move having been cancelled, but promised to sort things out, then I called back and by random chance spoke to Jessica-who laughed, acknowledged she’d cancelled my move, refused to let me speak to anyone else, and again hung up on me. After repeated hang-ups, I finally reached Christine, who claimed to be the only customer service supervisor in the entire company. She told me everything was fine, no, don’t make other arrangements, they’d pick up my stuff the following day as agreed, everything had been straightened out. But when my realtor called 7 hours later to verify that we didn’t need to reschedule closing (because I was nervous at this point), Christine was quite rude to her, laughing and saying the move was cancelled, they didn’t even service my area, and no, they had no intention of letting me know or refunding my deposit. It wasn’t until a lawyer-friend called on my behalf that they began the process of issuing a refund, but I was left scrambling to replan my entire move less than 18 hours before movers were supposed to show up. I’ve reached out several times since, and the only response was a two-word e-mail telling me to “f*** off.”

I was upset there wasn’t an option for less than one star. Original over the phone quote was $3,000. Was told by the moving company that the bid was brokered to American standard does this often. Every piece that was quoted for was accounted for without any extra items the quote became 56% higher than the original over the phone quote. We donated several hundred dollars worth of goods to accommodate the truck space the moving company had on their truck. They stated American standard has several false quotes within their system that is not accurate according to the companies they are giving the bids to. I was told by American standard it was 2-10 days for the spread of which our belongings would be delivered to us. This was not the case. I was told that it was 4-21 days. I was also quoted that the televisions, lamps and paintings we owned would be packed and “white gloved” handled with care and that the cost was in the original quote, this was not the case as well. I was also quoted that the first two flights of stairs would be a no charge fee, the moving company said American standard does this often as well. The first flight is free. I moved from a first floor apartment to a townhome and they were told by the front office that my flight of stairs were considered two, due to the amount of steps. There were no turns, simply straight stair case. After my experience with American standard I have never been more disgusted with how my money has been spent

If you're looking for a quick commission based, sales by company. Look no farther, all they care about is a deposit. Their yelp is terrible, most of the reps are recovering addicts or are addicts trying to book a deposit. Dont go with a company you've never heard of before. The owner is very rude and very rich.

These guys are a complete scam. Do. Not. Use. Then. They will give you a great quote, will not let you get off the phone and check around and rip you apart. They quote based on tonnage then hire out random guys to come move you out of your place and they tripled the quote that American standard said WILL NOT CHANGE. That’s their sell. They’re wrong. They are brokers who don’t care whatsoever if your stuff get there or not. They get their fee at the beginning and get out. They are a complete joke. Go with a company that actually hires their movers so they care.

I was hesitant at first but they got the job well done!! Nothing but good things to say about American Standard Moving and storage. The movers were on time, professionally dressed and easily identifiable. Moving can be painful anywhere but when things get as tightly packed as they are in NYC, moving becomes doubly-difficult. Using the helpful tips at American Standard's site, we were sure to have all the simple, light and unbreakable items packed up and ready to go, while the guys took care of the more complicated and strenuous packing. Of course, I was happy to see the care with which everything was handled and am happy to say that everything arrived at the new apartment in the condition in which it left the last apartment. When I get ready to move again (due to me being in the military) I’ll be sure to give them a call. Thank you, for providing me with the best movers!

Fraud alert!!! All positive feedback is FAKE! I was quoted one price and it more than doubled upon delivery. They demand cash or money order to deliver items. When I originally questioned the negative reviews, I was told it was from people who did bot stick to their original contact. We stuck to the 39 items quoted on our contract. We were then told that since there was a 2000 pound limit, our items weighed over 5000 pounds! Not possible! SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! Also, screenshot your quote! They remove it and replace it AFTER you agree!!!

From start to finish we were absolutely taken care of! In our case American standard Moving showed up with Eight Men and Three Trucks, and the result was spot-on. We decided to go with this moving company because of their reputation for caring more and being more careful than "the other guys." Well, we've used "the other guys" in the past, so we have a reference point, and it turns out that the good reputation is well-deserved. Among other things, our family-heirloom piano was given a meticulous and gentle "all-hands-on-deck" move up some pretty difficult stairs. Not a scratch, and barely even a bump! Our move was a two-parter since the carpet wasn't installed at the time we needed to make the first big move, so we had the guys come back out and do an "internal" house move to get a lot of things where they belonged after the carpet was in. That went just as smoothly as the first move. These men are clearly trained to be careful, respectful and efficient. The estimate was accurate. The communication through the whole process never lagged. The crew showed up on time (which, based on past experience, is actually an amazing feat in this industry!). The work they did was right on the money. So much stress was pulled off of us because of the way they interacted with us and our stuff!

I had the worst experience with them. They were set to arrive tomorrow at my place with everything paid and discussed beforehand (I’m talking weeks in advance). I called them again this morning to confirm everything and ask what time exactly they would be arriving, and they told me that the driver had canceled and they couldn’t send a truck this week. We would have to wait for a whole week for one. This is absolutely outrageous. I am supposed to move out by day after tomorrow. What the hell am I supposed to do now when the moving company lets me know with less than 24hrs remaining that they wouldn’t be able to send anybody on the agreed upon date that’s paid for? And the worst part is that they didn’t even call or email me to let me know. They only informed me when I called. This is unprofessionalism at its finest and I wouldn’t recommend this company to anybody. They have caused a great inconvenience to me and my family, and I’m honestly not sure what to do other than book another company last minute for double or triple the price.

Terrible service. I was helping a relative pack to move across the country. This company refused to give a date and time for pickup until the day before the move. They said they would be there at 4, then called back and said it would be the following day between noon and 4. No amount of persuasion would change their minds. Their contract gives them the right to change their plans at any time. Meanwhile, my relative is sitting in an empty house and has lost an entire day on the road.

I don’t know who the people who gave this company 5 stars was dealing with but this company has to be the biggest racketeering gangsters in the West Coast. When we started looking for a moving company we knew what our budget was. We received several bids and accepted ASMS because they made all the right promises including not going up on our storage no matter how much over the estimate we were. We told them we were moving a three bedroom house from Oakland to Arizona and the gave us an estimate of $6782. On the day they of the move they showed up with a Budget rental truck with other items already on it. They wanted to take half our load and return the following day for the other half. No thanks, you agreed to a job and it said nothing about splitting the load. I needed someone who could handle the job so I asked for a refund and they refused to return any of the $3305 we already paid. Their solution to the problem was the could accommodate us for $9000 not including a deposit. I couldn’t say HELL NO loud enough.

I've used American Standard Moving 3 times now in the past 4 years, and have had an amazing experience each time. The movers are quick, efficient, and careful.. They wrapped the furniture before moving, disassembled the bed, went up and down stairs without additional charge, made an additional stop to storage space to pick up a few extra items , and were willing to move us from Brooklyn to Florida. Vince was available by email to answer any questions. They are extremely reasonable as well. We've got one more move coming up at the end of the year, and will definitely use them again!

Big thanks for making my move so easy and painless. Very responsive and efficient service that American Standard provided. Accurate on time and very nice to you. I didn't have much stuff but what I had was mostly fragile glass and statues and vintage dishes that I was so worried about. I have broken a couple of those when I first moved to US. So I was very nervous. Luckily, none of them broke this time, and its all because of the care and attention of these guys! Thank you for the great service. HORRIBLE! This is a broker company, NOT the actual moving company. They were horrible at getting the estimated amount of items to be moved. We were quoted one amount that seemed absolutely awesome (which is probably the scheme to get you in) but when the actual movers came, the amount more than DOUBLED because the estimated amount of boxes was off. The broker estimated 40 boxes but it turned out to be 110! I know it wasn't us that was the problem because the actual moving company that came constantly complained that the people before us had more stuff than estimated. This broker should figure out why they are constantly off and fix their estimates.

Excellent service! Pleasure do deal with them from beginning until the end. They advertise all rates for all dates on the Website which was very easy for me to pick the date and knowing the rate ahead of time, with a little help over the phone it was easy to go over the inventory for the final numbers and get everything reserved, the movers worked hard and wrapped all my furniture with blankets free of charge without any damages and quick move! This was a review that I was more then happy to write, and I hope it reaches people that are on the fence about what company to use. My wife and I move around constantly , as it's what my career requires. We have been through it all...every nightmare scenario you can dream up, we've experienced it. As I am not trying to drag this out...we were so hesitant to go through another moving company instead of attempting to do this ourselves, but we figured we would try one last time. American Standard delivered exactly as they said they would. No false promises. They kept price within my budget. They called with an ETA, and showed up within that time frame. They packed our household up perfectly. They were organized and polite. Our stuff went into storage for three weeks, and when they delivered, everything came back to us in perfect condition. It was a breeze. They made it so easy. We will use them moving forward without a doubt. I suggest you do as well.

I put in a request for a moving quote at 10:38am, I got a call from an unknown number at 10:41, that I sent to voicemail, a text immediately after they hung up... a call back from the same number in the middle of me reading the text. Then before 10:45, I’d gotten two more phone calls from different numbers. One left a voicemail and one I answered, saying he had never called my number so he didn’t know what I was talking about. Thanks for the harassment, looks like you saved me some money after reading these reviews.

I do not recommend this company at all as they are not reliable in any way what so ever. Professionalism is out the window once they get your money. Yes they try to give you a perception of bending over backward for you...until the money exchange. We were needing to make arrangements to move fairly quickly, due to relocation for employment. We contacted this company to make the arrangements and solidify on a date for the move. We had to work with the employer as they were helping with the relocation expenses and finalizing all the employment details. We had told the company tentative dates for moving which were roughly 2 weeks away. American Standard called the employer to verify move dates and confirmed with them and also us. They stated they needed the deposit by end of week. Then in the same conversation they change to needing payment now. We had informed them that wells fargo was having computer and online difficulties so we couldn't access our accounts and we would call and pay in the morning at 10am in hopes the computer systems at wells fargo would be fixed. They said ok. They called us at 9:15am and demanded payment. So we complied and paid the agreed amount for deposit. We asked a few additional questions and/or confirmations to our agreement and they kept transferring us around to different people to cause the confusion game and it seems they didn't have a clue of what was going on. This all after they received payment, but nice as pie til they get your money. The more questions and confirmations that we asked seemed to irritate them. They always stated call if you have any additional questions we are here to help......BS Example of questions below. (ie :Was the load going to be loaded once and not moved again per our request and agreement? We were moving a full dresser Harley and they demanded that we give them the key.....which is not necessary, as it would have been in a crate anyway and disabled. They offered 30 day storage which we were told that it would be stored on the same truck it was loaded in, not moving the stuff again, parked in a climate controlled facility. But upon paying they changed all of what we had initially agreed upon! We get a call back 15 mins later telling us that they can't do the move for us at all, making some ridiculous reasons! Granted they refunded the money. Leaving us in a panic to find a new mover or option with only a week and a half as if moving is not stressful enough. Why lock us in for dates and deposit if you couldn't do the move to begin with.

Do not use this company. Sales pitch is great but the move sucked. The movers were smiling weed on my property while moving my stuff. They didn't show up on scheduled days...were very unprofessional. I can't believe this dysfunctional company can continue to operate. Every step along the way, my friend's experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. A very rude, unprofessional mover damaged her property and left his garbage behind in the process of moving. She was quoted one price but later billed for hundreds of dollars more. It's been over two weeks and she still doesn't have her stuff. She was denied a tracking number from the start and every person she reaches out to is clueless about the status of her belongings - one person even saying they have no record of her using their company. The people on the phone and the people doing the actual moving seem completely disjointed. There is zero accountability for your merchandise once it has been moved, and every person on the phone with her has acted dismissive and saying it's out of their hands. Finally, after over 10 days of waiting for her stuff to arrive, she was told her merchandise would take up to an additional 20 days. How does a company think it is okay to hold onto someone's belongings for nearly a month? To say this company is disorganized and dysfunctional would be an understatement. I don't know how there are any positive reviews here, but I'd hate for anyone else to have such a miserable experience as my friend is having, so I would discourage anybody from using this moving company. My friend truly questions whether she's going to see her stuff again, and whether they will hold her property hostage until she agrees to pay the increased invoice that is 1.5x the price of her quote. What an absolutely crooked company.

HORRIFIC experience, do NOT use them!!! After speaking to the sales person and walking through all the furniture we own, move details, etc. we were assured there was 0% chance our move would cost more then $3,500, and we were provided the payment details and schedule. American called again a week before the move date to again review what we were moving. Surprise! the actual movers came out and promptly told us we were woefully misquoted and our move would cost $6,000. American had not even provided the movers with the updated list of what we needed to move, which is what they base the space needed in the truck off of. I immediately called American where the customer service team was horrendous, rude, and zero help. There response was basically "we didn't quote you wrong" and "well you must have lied about what you own" "we did nothing wrong" which doesn't even make an logical sense. The customer service rep even argued with the lead mover onsite on speaker phone. The actual movers (which were subcontracted) were lovely people and super helpful. At this point we were stuck, as the movers were already there and we had to get our stuff across the country, so we had to pay the $6k. So much for promising under 3.5k, what a joke. I beg you, DO NOT USE THEM. They subcontract the work anyways, so find a small moving company that will just work with you directly the entire time.

Fast pick up and delivery shrink wrapped all antique furniture and returned my belongings with no damages. Best customer service I'v ever dealt with... Definitely will use for a future move

These people are not to be trusted. They "broker" your move to disreputable movers, then say they're shocked at how you were ripped off by them, and how they will never work with them again. Yet they all say that and they ALL work together all the time. It's how the scam works. These guys are skilled at what they do. Even their software is designed to no longer give you access to your "Binding Estimate" after you electronically sign it, so be sure you download a copy as a PDF before you sign! You can also dispute charges with your bank and also file a complaint with the Dept. of Transportation at fmcsa dot gov website. Oh any review site where you don't see bad reviews of them, such as on "Verified Movers?" Those sites won't send the verification emails for low star reviews! The business model of this company is to rip people off, plain and simple, and eventually enough people will know it to be protected from them. hemce why you've never heard of their company before. all they wanna do is sale sale sale sale, never take care care care.

I was in a bind with a J and J moore Nationwide Van Lines. they showed up and wanted to charge me $2000 more than what they quoted me. After being scared to re-book with a mover I decided to trust American standard and not only they were able to be within my budget, they helped me save $1500 that J and J moore was trying to rob me out of. I would recommend this company if you are looking for an honest and reputable company.

Please do not use this company. My daughter in law had so many issues with this company. They sent her to Way To Go moving company that charged her extra unnecessarily stating they needed a different truck to get into her street which is a busy street that semi trucks travel daily. The communication on her delivery date varied from each person she spoke to. On the date they were to deliver her things we waited but as the time given had come and gone they were no show. She called and they were like oh we aren't coming today we'll be there Monday. The guy was rude and unprofessional when asked why no one had called her. Monday came and all of a sudden they say they didn't receive her payment they can't deliver her things... um why were they saying something at the last minute?! However payment was made, we did confirm with the bank. When this was told to them they insisted she provide a copy of the statement but at this point I, the mother in law had to step in because something didn't seem right. I informed them we were going to open a fraud investigation with the bank the man then puts me on hold and comes back on the line and says sorry it was under another account that's why he didn't see the payment. That was settled and upon the delivery of her boxes there was damage to a few of them and all they did was make excuses as to why they were damaged. I also should tell you they are very unprofessional, now that my daughter in law has her things they say they are too busy to look into all the issues she had with American Standard and Way To Go Moving, Inc. If I could give negative stars I would. We reported them to BBB. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Her bank has been helping her to keep an eye on her account to ensure this company or any foreign charges get flagged immediately. Don't let them sweet talk you into doing business with them they will not take care of you. They are not a good company to spend your money on.

From the initial phone call we described everything we could actually expect to have before and after the transfer. I became extremely joyful about that relocating morning. American Standard was great!! As soon as the men arrived, they got the properties loaded up and able to transfer in a very little time frame. The pickup was smooth and simple, they stuck in touch with me and when the delivery morning arrived they organize each of our pieces of furniture in the areas we selected. Absolutely nothing was basically damaged or even shattered. I can mention that the prices were reasonable and also the service was excellent. LIES! LIES!! LIES!!! I have never written a review in my 57 yrs of life, but this experience has been so bad I plan on writing several to share the lies I heard so no one makes the same mistake I did by using this company. Let me start with today...I moved one month ago and had the absolute worst experience of my life (more to come in other reviews). I started calling customer service THE DAY I moved. The phone rang and rang. When I did get my contact guy on the phone he played like the signal was bad and hung up on me. I called customer service and was told they couldn't do anything that night but call them the next day and they would do something. I have been calling for 3 weeks now and kept hearing...."Nicole is on another call and she will call you right back." LIES!! I have never heard from her. I went over her head and asked for a person in management and they put me on hold for over 20 min until I finally hung up. Christina did call me back...listened to my story...and told me she would get all the files, review them, and call me back at 3pm the next day. That was 5 days ago. I called yesterday and got the same thing, "Christina is on the other line but you will be the first person she calls back." LIES!!! Please DO NOT use this company. They changed my quote 2 times during my move. I decreased my inventory so I wouldn’t go over budget; the quote went up. They subcontracted to another company who showed up 4 hrs late to pick up my stuff, and hit me with additional charges for packing materials, and the quote went up. They did not deliver within their timeline, causing additional strife at the tail end of the move, and the subcontractors did not return my calls to give me an ETA. After calling American Standard, they told me it would be another week. Avoid them like the plague.

I have had an incredibly unsuccessful and frustrating experience with this company. First, when you speak to them they never mention voluntarily that they are a broker company and not the movers themselves. Because of this, I was not able to get proper information regarding the moving company, who ended up being the biggest mistake I have made. The whole premise of the whole company is that “we will not charge you a single penny more than we quote unlike other companies”. They said that the price is based on weight. The first things that the movers did when they came to pick up our things was keep adding additional charges, saying it was based on volume in cubic feet. They tried to add charges for any reason they could and so we ended up leaving a lot of things (almost 500 dollars worth) and throwing them away to avoid extra cost. Most of the things ended up damaged when they reached anyway. The most frustrating part of this whole ordeal was that any time we called anyone at this company to ask about this, nobody picked up the phone and when they did, it was clear that they did not want to help us. I have never been more disappointed with a company. Please save yourself the stress and do not use this company. I wish there was a rating less than one.

I'm only rating them strictly off of professionalism not the actual service itself but just be ready to be continuously hassled by them. I requested a quote a week ago and decided not to take their service and they are still sending me messages through various different numbers despite requesting 3 times to be taken off the call list. If you block them they will call and text from a different number. Whatever you do don't rwquest a quote unless you are going to buy that day bc they will not leave you alone.

I feel as though many companies do the bait and switch but not these guys and gals! They are the real deal. I can not rave enough about this company. When I filled out a quote online my phone rang for days by different companies and prices. I was so overwhelmed. When I spoke to American Standard, I was so impressed with the representatives experience and empathy with what I was going through. They gave me a fair price and actually delivered. There was a bit of a delay on the expected delivery date which they did inform me that sometimes that happens for several reasons . TOTAL SCAM. We booked our move with them this January with an awesome price, their salesman Jacob told us over and over again there would be no additional fees. We signed the contract and gave our deposit. Then 4 days before our move we were told it was going to be more than double the price they had originally told us. They said it was due to us adding more items to the inventory. Ofcourse when we initially booked they didn't give us the option to give an exact inventory list because they said not to worry about it until the week off so we gave as good of an inventory list as we could for our 3 bed 2 bath home. Although we did not add too many items they more than doubled our price, I argued back and forth with the manager Scott and when I finally decided his rudeness was just too much and I needed to cancel the whole thing he hangs up on me. I called the company back to file a complaint and I am speaking to a customer service lady whom is trying to compromise when all the sudden she hands me over to Scott once again, whom continues to be disrespectful. We lost our deposit because of the contract they got us to sign in January and now have no movers coming to pick our stuff up this weekend. In the end they will low ball you at first and then give you a different price when it is almost too late to do anything about it. My wife and I are both military vets and this was our first move we didn't have the Army do for us. We cannot believe they treat their costumers this way! BE AWARE

I hired American Standard to handle my move from Salt Lake City, Utah to Houston, Texas. I had a good experience the whole way through minus a slight delay which ended up working out for me anyway. My sales rep Austin was really detailed and explained everything including the negatives if they were to arrive. Movers were on time, packed really well and I got everything with no issues. I recently used American Standard Moving to move items from a house to a condo. I can’t say enough good things about them - right from the beginning they were supportive and helpful. My rep called me right away to find out what I needed and gave me a rough estimate on costs. Followed up the conversation in an email so I could get in touch with him at any time. The day before the move I got a call from him confirming what time the guys were showing up the next day. The movers showed up on time even though it was during the ice storm! They were professional and courteous and got the job done quickly! My items were wrapped such as the couches and any wood items were wrapped with blankets for protection. All in all my experience was great and I would use these guys again. Also my estimate and actual costs were in line so no surprises there! Great job - big thank you to the guys for all their heavy lifting!

Horrible experience!!! Would’ve left zero stars if I could’ve!! They’ll quote you a “lock in” price, then farm you out to some random company from who knows where, then THAT company will try to charge you more!!! We were quoted $5500 and ended up spending over $7000 when it was all said and done and STILL the movers had to leave so much stuff, we had to rent a 26 foot uhaul truck to go back and get the rest of our stuff!!! It’s been an absolute nightmare!!! Learn from my mistake, never take a moving quote from someone over the phone and don’t use american standard!!!!

Is it possible to leave a no star review? Or negative review? One of the worst experiences of my life. What a shady, untrustworthy company. Over $10,000 worth of items never arrived. The so called movers who showed up tried to blackmail us into "paying less" by "slipping" them some money. They were just two guys with a rental truck. I tried to notify the moving company to let them know, and they said they would look into it, but they never did. Once our stuff arrived, the truck driver was in a hurry to get to see his kids so just tried to move things along. The guys who showed up to unload our stuff were hired off of Craigs List that morning and then paid in cash. I was shocked and appalled. That is so shady. We noticed that many items were missing. I noticed when they picked up our items lots of furniture items were not wrapped or covered, I told the moving company this, because I was afraid our stuff would be scratched. In fact, what actually did arrived was all scratched up and looked like it had been in a fight with a lion or tiger it was so scratched. We packed in rubbermaid type containers. Over half we're missing. Stuff got moved from one container to another after it had been sealed tight. My daughters clothes were dropping all over the ground out of the moving truck. It had been in trash bags, double bagged, then sealed tight shut in the rubbermaid. The rubbermaid was missing. As were a large amount of my daughters clothes that we had purchased in advance for the fall/winter/upcoming sizes/seasons. 95% of my winter clothes and dress clothes and undergarments were nowhere to be found. Tons of my kitchen stuff was nowhere to be found. My daughters brand new power wheels frozen jeep, nowhere to be found. The furniture that did arrive smelled of cat urine. We paid to have our tvs wrapped and packed by them. Our 55 inch tv came and it was broken, can't be used. Our furniture was supposed to be reassembled, that did not happen. Parts were missing to our furniture. Wedding memories are missing. Pictures (originals and only copies) from our wedding are missing. My daughters childhood memories are missing. Our Christmas ornaments collected over the years are missing. The list could go on and on. The truck driver said our stuff was probably just on another truck and that they would contact us when it got here. Over 2 months later and its no where in sight. Our truck driver also disappeared and turned back up smelling of alcohol (at noon). The whole experience has been appalling. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will quote you one thing, and then it will be at least double that. Even if you give them an item by item description. RUN AWAY, SPEND YOUR MONEY with an honest company.

I decided to go with American Standard and spend the extra money instead of doing my one bedroom move myself. Big mistake!! What the salesperson sold me as a service is not the service I received. The customer service with American Standard ended once they had my money. When I finally received my furniture and dozen boxes two weeks later than promised, the driver was the only person to show up to bring the furniture and boxes into my place. My husband had to help carry the furniture. My bad experience did not stop there, the furniture and boxes were not placed where I asked or unpacked, as stated. This is not the end of this horrible move decision, I have to file a claim for a lost piece of furniture, a broken dresser, a dented and scratched wine cabinet, a scratched coffee table, a dented and scratch kitchen island and several broken glass and pottery items. If you have read my review and decide to use American Standard, I hope your experience is a better one.

Despite having bad weather that day, our house was clean when they left; nothing broken, nothing damaged, no surprises. American standard in my opinion is the best moving company Ive gone with. Vince was extremely nice to me from the start. He took his time with me on the phone knowing that I wasnt home and waited for me to get home to take my inventory. After we went over the inventory the price seemed a little too high so he worked up a couple discounts for me and get me an amazing price for a full service move. Also, his dispatch manager Brian was extremely nice to me as well when we spoke. Now upon my delivery in Fl my stuff came to me as clean as possible. I was extremely happy with how this move went. They want nothing but your deposit, the sales rep will tell you that your all set for a certain price and the price can’t increase and then day of your move they “evaluate your inventory” and the price triples. I don't even know where to start. These guys are the best! So fast and efficient. They took a sliding glass door and a bedroom door off the hinges and then took apart my husband's massage chair to get it in our new place. They saved the day! You won't be sorry if you choose them!

scam artitsts taking advantage of senior women.. told my mom it was gonna cost $4000 total and took it up front then told her she owed $7000 more when they finally came 7 hours late. so $11,000 when she was told $4,000 when she signed the contract.. terrible at packing the truck and were smoking the whole time even though they were told that she suffers from sever asthma. the worst!

Do not use this company they lie to get your work my son got screwed by them. He gave them a list of stuff he had to move they gave him a quote of 3600$ when the truck showed up they got him loaded up and they then told him it would be 6000$. The trucking company said they do this all the time to people. Plus he had to leave is bed and kitchen table behind. When he called them they said they would call him back and never did. I am in the process of getting a lawyer and fileing a complaint with the better business bureau.

I would give zero stars if possible. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I hired them to move from Calif to WA. They don't move the items they sub them out to other companies. The one I ended up with was Arrow moving and storage out of Las Vegas. What a nightmare. The items were not delivered as promised. I had to pay for an extra flight a month later. When they did show up there was so much damage I was sick. They literally broke all four legs off of an antique desk, destroyed an antique secretary desk, broke the crown molding off of a china cabinet and numerous other items were damage. Out of about $3500.00 worth of damage they offered $85.00 on the claim. I would have purchased the extra insurance but the driver insisted I sign his paperwork as is or he was going to take everything back off of the truck. Beware.

Absolute joke of a company and complete waste of our money. My husband contacted ASMS over a month ago to schedule a cross-country move (3-4 day drive for us, so understandably not simplest relocation). Before he placed a deposit he was told it was estimated to be 5-9 days from when our belongings were picked up to when they arrived at our new home. When he was in contact again (before moving day) he was told it could take up to 21 days or we were to get a refund. It has now been 18 days since our home was packed up and our furniture, clothing, cookware - everything that did not fit in 2 cars - is still not with us. What is much more aggravating and disappointing than the incredible lag in having our items (we have been in our new *empty* home for 13 days sleeping on an air mattress and sitting on lawn chairs) is the complete lack of transparency and poor customer service. Before the movers even arrived we had trouble getting in contact with the company to confirm the day they would be here as they did not call when we were told (he called 2 representatives and customer service, and did not get a return phone call until he called again the next day - the scheduled move). A detail I was unaware of is the fact that our things were packed into a truck, driven 3 hours away, and then placed in storage until another driver picked them up - meaning double the liability with moving and possibly damaging our things. After day 7 my husband called to ask for an update to find out if our things had even left yet, and could not get through to anyone initially, then received a call from a rep who said they had no estimate or tracking. No tracking? We couldn't even find out if they had started their journey? The next day he received a call that we should expect our things in 5-7 days and we could expect a call 2 days in advance to plan for movers (meaning, yes, they had not left the facility where they were taken after pickup). 2 days ago my husband received a call from a driver (he had yet to speak to this person) informing him he would arrive between 5-7 the next day. A bit of relief. 4:30 yesterday hits and my husband receives a call from the driver saying he would be here at 10 pm, to which of course my husband said would not be happening (we moved an entire box truck - this would not be a 60 minute ordeal and he works at 7 am, not to mention neighbors). The driver said 8 am the next day, and texted my husband asking for our address?? It is now past 9 am on day 18 and there are no movers here, and I have yet to receive a phone call or email back from customer service. I'm shocked at how poorly this operation has been run, mostly due to the lack of transparency and the failure to ever remain in contact with us. Our experience with ASMS was an unforgettable experience in the worst way, and I feel obliged to encourage as many people as possible not to utilize this company for any type of move.

An absolute nightmare moving with this company. To start, they price gauged me because they knew I didn't have any other options. The movers were over two days late to pick up my stuff. After being told that the movers would be packing everything, I was told last minute that I would need to do it myself. Nothing that the "Owner" and I agreed on before payment was honored. He tells you what you want to hear, but once paid he ghosts, and leaves you to deal with movers that don't have any idea what was agreed upon. I tried to cancel on the second day they were late, and was told I would lose my deposit and that they don't guarantee pick up or drop off days. During the move, they shattered the screen on my 55" LED TV, and all they have me was a $50 discount, knowing that the TV cost over $600. I will be calling the BBB and filing a complaint.

American Standard Moving helped move our furniture and personal belongs from our old 2,700 sq ft house to our new 4,000 sq ft house less than 2000 mile away. Initially, I had planned to only have my furniture moved and not lighter or personal items. I explained to Thomas (the owner) that our dining and living rooms were both heavy and fragile at the same time. Our white modern leather furniture are stark white and heavy as bricks. As heavy as the pieces were, they moved them as though on the tips of their fingers. They were washing their hands frequently throughout the move to ensure that no dirt would be engrained on the pieces as they were moved. I planned for the move to last between 14 hours and only for the main furniture to be moved. When I saw how well they were doing, we extended the whole day until late evening and practically moved the entire house. They did great and worked at the same pace in their last couple of hours as they did when they arrived. Another thing I noticed is that they don't get irritated by picky customers (like myself!) following them around and stating remarks of caution. I found American Standard Moving and Storage online and hired them based on the immaculate reviews I read, which only turned out to be exactly what was written. Thank you Brian for setting me up and the crew you selected for My move! You are recommended to my family and friends!

These movers are thoroughly corrupt and not to be trusted. They will send your move to rip-off artists then pretend to be shocked when you're ripped off. They all say "we never worked with them before, but now that we hear the shocking way they treated you, we'll never work with that company again." But they all work together all the time. It's just how the scam works. Be sure to download a copy of your "Binding Estimate" before you sign it, because as soon as you electronically sign, you won't be able to see that contract again! And expect your actual movers to show up with a new contract and to at least double what you were promised. They'll say they need to do it by space instead of weight, if that's more, or by weight instead of space if they think they can make that cost you more. I finally called the police at delivery and also disputed some of the over charges with my bank. My pickup was in NM, so NM law applied, and it became "door to door" sales as soon as the mover started negotiating price and items to be moved with me. That made the BOL invalid as a contract, such that my binding estimate was my only valid contract, and what I owed despite the extortion happening in the setup.

Excellent, professional service. We made a last minute booking the day before the move and everyone was more than accommodating. By the following afternoon all our stuff was moved. Bed was wrapped in plastic at no extra charge, staff were all very polite and friendly. And even shuffled furniture around for us at the new place to get it exactly where we wanted it. Wonderful service, we will definitely be using this company for all our moves. And price was definitely reasonable for saving us all the trouble and effort. My god, I've been a moron all these years. Self moving was a dumb decision. American Standard's price was very reasonable. It was absolutely worth every dime. They just magically took care of the entire move. I'll never rent another box truck. It's just not a good bargain when you have someone like William who is already equipped to do everything. Now it is going on hour number 2 trying to reach someone this morning again. Terrible, how can you operate like that!

DO NOT BOOK A MOVE WITH THESE PEOPLE! First, all moving companies will hound you for days until you pick up the phone and tell them you're not interested. They will call you 5-6 times a day. Second, the associates at American Standard Moving & Storage Inc. are sales guys just trying to get a commission from you. They could care less about getting you a correct quote. Third, the customer service team are terrible at your job. If it cost me extra to move my move-date, you should tell me instead of scheduling it and then charging me later on.

American Standard Moving was Great! California to Florida move - 3+ months storage - 18,000 pounds. Vince Pearlman was our initial contact - spent 2 hours itemizing everything, and there were no surprises at the end! Everything went as according to Our contract. He explained all of our options, and his explanations were accurate. Some were over promising ridiculous things but I like how honest and upfront Vince was. We had a great crew that took two days to complete the packing, one day and three small trucks to load, and one exceptional crew for unloading. You hear stories of missing/broken inventory etc. - we have no such stories. In closing there is not anything I could have asked for they did not already do. This is not the least expensive moving company, but in retrospect the husband and I are very happy we utilized their services. I would highly recommend American Standard Moving and storage for your move!

They responded quickly to my call, sent me a quote shortly and explained me the whole process making sure I had no questions. The truck arrived on time and they handled everything like professionals. I wouldn’t have done it better. It was a pleasure dealing with them.

I knew from my first call with American Standard Moving & Storage that my move would go as smooth as possible. I was really worried at first that moving across state lines (Brooklyn to West Palm Beach to start a new company for an app) that it would cost an arm and a leg, along with going through the logistics of packing, and then having my items transported so far would be a lot more complex than it ended being. My rep walked me through the whole process, and then moving day, everything went as planned an on time, which I've only experienced a few times out of all the 10+ times that I've moved. Would recommend this company to anyone!

I am in the middle of misery. I got a new job as an assistant professor and had to move to another state. Three month before moving, I called and them they assured me the cost would be 2600.00 dollars and it take "at most" ten business days to get my stuff. Apart from the horrifying fact that I ended up paying nearly 4000.00 dollars (they are not finished they have still have my stuff and they said it would cost another 2000.00 dollars to unload them), now they are telling me it might take 21 business day (up to 5th of September !!!!) to have my stuff. I feel deceived and I feel terribly handcuffed in the middle of nowhere.

The team at American Standard Moving were sensational. Their movers were on time, communicated throughout the process. They gave me a schedule for the move and made everything so much easier. The pickup team were excellent and friendly. Barely any damage to our stuff which I was really worried about. They made my move from Allston to Boston a breeze and would highly recommend. The delivery did take a little bit longer than expected but that’s something very standard in the industry so I can’t complain. Thank you!

I contracted this company to move my daughter’s apartment from Utah to TN. I was quoted a price and asked if they could do better- they gave me a $600 discount. Then when they picked up her belongings they repacked some things that were already boxed - charged for packing supplies and said that we needed to pay for more space. Then- guess what the difference was—$600 exactly! I find that highly suspect! Then we did not get her belongings for 36 days with no communication. I called multiple times and kept getting the run around if they even bothered to return my call!!!! Finally after about my 4th call they told me that it could take up to 30 days. This was such a frustrating time - I would never recommend this company. The only bright side was that the contracted delivery drivers were very nice!

Don't use this company. you will regret it. Jessica Vickers is a very unprofessional customer service rep. Mitch the so-called owner told me we would work out my problem but he never called me back. When I tried to reach him and left messages he never return my calls. They are a booking company no matter what they say. Just call up a local mover in your area and get a quote for them.

I ordered and paid a deposit for moving freight from Des Moines IA to Ormond Beach Fl on 3-8-2019 requesting delivery on 4-1-19. Frt (furniture and household goods) was picked up in Des Moines IA on 3-23-19. I moved in my home in Ormond Beach on 4-1-19. As of today’s date 4-14-19 I still don’t have my freight. I wouldn’t hire this company to move an outhouse. I’m ready to report my freight stolen or lost because I have not been able to get any valid info. Still no commitment on delivery as of 4:52 PM on Sunday April 14. This is horrible service with no communication.

Crooks, Liars, Theives! Unprofessional moving Brokerge company should be investigated. They are stealing so much money from so many people by trapping them and putting people in a position by quoting little better price estimate than the competing movers. Then have you pay them about a third of what they estimate as a deposit. In my case around $850.00. I was moving to a different community approximately 185 miles, 220 miles if you go the long way to where we were moving to. The day the moving truck showed up 2 days later than they committed to. I took 2 day off work to make the move turn into 4 days I had to take off. They said they had a move in South Dakota where they had unexpected delays. Moving day a rented 26 foot U haul truck they rented pulls up with 3 men. I greet the men when they pull up to our home we are moving from. One of the men spoke some broken English the other two did not speak any English. As I was showing the man that spoke some English through our house and our belongings, I asked him where they were all originally from the lead man said they were all from Croatia. The two other older men started to carry our things to the rented 26 foot U haul truck. The lead man had a clip board he said for counting , inspecting and identifying our belongings. The lead man asked me for another $1000..00 so now they have around $1800.00 of my money. I noticed they did not blanket wrap any of our nice 3 or 4 month old furniture like the representative said they would. I asked the lead man why isn’t I blanket wrapped he said it was I just couldn’t see it. I couldn’t see it be cause they didn’t blanket wrap anything. They loaded as much as would fit on the rented U haul truck but not getting all of our belonging on the truck. They obviously could not read the word fragile that was written on all sides of the boxes the way they loaded the Rented 26 foot U haul truck. They needed about 5 more feet of truck to get the rest of our belongings on the truck so I had no choice at this point but to say go with it and I’ll have to figure a way to get the rest in my own. They went to weigh the truck out some place. As were driving to meet them at the home we were moving to I receive a phone call from American Standard Moving representative and they told me how much I was to pay when they drop off our belongings at our new home. The lady from American Standard Moving told me to have a cashiers check or cash in the amount of approximately $4200.00 when they deliver our household belongings. My wife and I were appalled and devastated when we were told this is the amount we need to give them to receive our belongings. The original estimate they gave me to move our 3 bedroom home was about $2900..00. Now the total amount for this move is up to over $6000..00 The representative told me we had much more weight than they originally figured. Any weight over the estimated weight I will be charged $1.26 per pound. Piss poor estimate American Standard yea I know it was a couple thousand pounds heavier than you estimated. I am in the Trucking business and have been for over 40 years and $6000.00 for 12 hours total time for this move. Our $250,000 tractor trailers with a professional driver earn about $1500.00 gross revenue per day. and haul 52000 lbs of freight. You at American Standard Moving rent a 26 foot U haul for my guess would be less than $1000.00 per week hire three men my guess would be I’m sure on the very high side and I know you don’t pay them $300.00 per day. 3 men not professional movers x $300 = $900.00 plus your rented 26 foot U haul even if it was a $1000 per day (not) would be a cost of $1900.00. So your gross profit for the 12 hours is $4100.00. We had so much damage to our things. Crushed and broken like , my deceased mothers antique crystal, broken pictures an frames broke our new washer and dryer scratched. Les than 6 month old furniture scratched badly. You American Standard moving people are truly Theives. I have much more.but we’ll do that later.

The crew from American Standard are as good as it gets - from the minute I called to get a quote. I knew that these were the fellas I wanted to help us move to our new home. They arrived on time, carried all our stuff with a cheery demeanour, didn't flinch when we found a few extra ( and large) things to add, and managed to fit it all into the truck like expert. Cant rate them high enough - you cant go wrong with them.

Was given an estimate of $3,000 at the beginning, then on an update estimate was given $5,170 and then on pick up date was given a final price of over $9,000. $1,400 only for packing. I consider this a rip off. Don’t recommend this company to nobody.

First of all, be advised that this company often uses subcontractors to do their work. While this company has an okay rating, they assigned a company with a terrible rating to do the move without telling us. We told American Standard repeatedly that they needed to show up on either the 8th or the 9th and why it mattered, and they agreed to come on one of those days. They were well aware of the importance of timing. Instead, the movers showed up on the 7th without prior warning. Fortunately we were able to finish packing quickly and get everything on the truck, but a lot of customers wouldn't be able to do that. During the move, they seriously damaged the wall of the apartment while moving furniture. They kept poor records of all the property being moved. When they showed up for delivery (again with a lot less notice than they'd promised and not within the timeframe that we'd agreed on), they were missing a number of items of furniture, which they'd apparently lost (even though they charged us to move them). And a ton of our stuff was broken. They also added big fees at both pickup and delivery which we were not warned about in advance and could have been because these fees were foreseeable. And since they only take cash or postal money order, paying big fees without notice is not easy. Also, almost every time I call American Standard I get different answers to the same simple questions. Yes, their customer service people are polite, but not reliable.

Once our stuff was on the truck, cost more than doubled. They will tell you that a competitor posted bad reviews. I'M A CONSUMER that they scammed and hope you read this before hiring them. I filed with BBB, FMCSA, AMSA, FL att general, CA bureau of consumer affairs and involved the CA Sheriff to get my stuff released. ***STAY AWAY***.

13 weeks it took to move 2 bedrooms worth of stuff from Texas to Pennsylvania. American Standard moving and storage are not actual movers, but are brokers. They subcontracted my move out to Executive moving and storage out of Las Vegas. I'm not going to detail how awful this experience was, but use your imagination of what I went through for 13 weeks without my belongings. The one good thing was they did refund me my initial payment. But I wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone.
