I had a great experience with Brett at First-Rate Movers. I was working for an interior design company staging a house and we had forgotten to get a 600lbs entryway cabinet up to the foyer of the home. I called around all over the Lewes, DE area that morning in search of a moving company that would be willing to move this cabinet but all the companies either did not answer my call or gave me outrageous rates for $95/hr, 4hr minimum...that's $400 to move a single piece of furniture! Finally I got a call back from Brett and First-Rate Movers saying he could stop by with 2 guys and gave me a very reasonable deal. I had a 30 MINUTES HEADS UP! (This rarely happens). The guys came by, threw the cabinet over their shoulders like it was nothing, carried it up the stairs, and placed it with care on the new floor...only it wasn't in the right place so they had to move it over to the opposite wall. There was no complaining. Wonderful experience!

These guys were friendly an professional and went over and above what I expected movers to do. They had to cut a thick, round lock off of our POD unit when it was discovered my husband had left with the key to the POD. It took a while, but they did it. Otherwise, I would have been stranded with the POD and no way to get my furniture moved. They took great care to protect my stuff, as well as the pathway through the house. I was so glad to have found them and would not hesitate to use them again!

They change the price on me they’re very deceptive they rent trucks a few things broken I will call a few other places before I booked the first rate movers please do your research. Lots of these reviews are fake so please do not go on reviews call clients that they have used, They will cherry pick all the good ones but get a list of the 10 references for every move her that you check out thank you

These guys made our Dad 's from Delaware to NJ smooth. Brett came to the house to estimate the time and type of service needed. He gave a flat rate; not hourly.They moved him in a professional, and efficient manner, and were right on target with the timing all the way. Not a single glitch. I would highly recommend them!

Can't say enough about these guys. I had a gigantic, glass filled china cabinet and a tricky treadmill that had to go though my new home and into a basement at a challenging angle. Not a scratch to the furniture or the hardwood floors (or the oak stairs). Great prices & great people.
