I arranged a move for my mother, moving from my childhood home into independent living. When I spoke with Eddie on July 16th, I was told that, even though the schedule was tight, he would arrange a morning pickup on the requested date of July 29th. When I received the confirmation call on Friday July 26 before the Monday move, I was told that it would be an 11AM pick up, but he would try for earlier. Whoever called me agreed to give me (in Oklahoma) and my sister (in Delaware) a call when the drivers were headed to my mom's place. On Monday, when nobody had received a call by 10:45a for an expected 11a pickup, I called and spoke to someone who apologized for the miscommunication: that 11a was the BEGINNING of an 11a-2p window, but would get a team to my mom's place ASAP. Child care, work and personal schedules, all disrupted. Not to mention the emotional distress compounded on a handicapped, 74-yo woman moving out of her home of 47 years. At 1:38p EST I received a call that from Matt(?) to let me know that the team had been dispatched and they be at my mom's place in a HOUR, well past the end of the 2pm window. When I questioned the time frame from Bear to North Wilmington, he changed his tune to 30 min. And even better, the drivers then called my sister at 1:53p to tell her that they were just about to leave and would arrive in 45 minutes. I understand that "dispatched" doesn't necessarily mean "on the way", but that's the implication. And then to find out that the truck hadn't even left? It was a continuation of the disappointment Your folks arrived at 2:20p and then proceeded to back the truck up the driveway that is clearly too steep for the length of truck they brought. The truck was stuck for 15 minutes until a neighbor was able to assist. My sister tells me that the movers were very nice and as efficient as two folks could be. I appreciate that. With all the 4 and 5-star reviews, this was not the ideal experience we expected when Delaware Moving and Storage was recommended.

Delaware Moving and Storage moved me a couple of weeks ago. They did a great job but the crew didn't wrap all of my furniture completely so there were a couple of marks on the bottom of my couch. Delaware Moving and Storage sent someone out to clean it immediately without a lot of questions or concerns. They were great... I would highly recommend them to anyone just make sure that they wrap your furniture completely lol

Moving is very stressfull especially when you are elderly and moving long distance. I don't know how Delaware Moving and Storage did it but they were able to move me long distance, and under their estimate. I moved in May of 2019 from Milford,, DE to Skaneteles, NY. My salesperson was Dave Sterling and he did a great job. He was able to give my family and i a lot of suggestions how to cut cost. He knows a lot about moving. Excellent job the crew followed directions. Got me moved and always had a smle on their face. Thank you Great job guys.

Military family never experienced this type of poor service. Rude driver , they moved my furniture in the rain without covers as a result : damage dinning table, half of my furnitures still not here have to wait 2 more weeks . I will make sure that the government will never give no more jobs to this company.

Hired DE Moving and Storage for a local move into a new home in April 2018. The crew they sent were prompt, even calling ahead to make sure I knew they were arriving. They worked hard and were very friendly and courteous. They wasted no time in getting the job done. Pricing is more than fair and everyone was easy to deal with. There were no surprises.

I moved long distance from Wilmington DE to Lafayette, IN. My salesperson was Aaron Pross. He was very easy to work with and answered all of my questions quickly. Very professional. Now for my moving experience..Over all it was a positive experience. That being said, there were 2 important problems: 1) I had to call Wheaton more than once to find out the delivery date. This was problematic because i needed plan my work schedule round the delivery date. 2) My bicycle was lost in the move. It went on to the 1st truck but did not come off the 2nd truck.

I just want to let you know what a great experience i had with Delaware Moving and Storage. I would use them again if I move long distance. i moved at the end of March and had a great sales person. Dave Sterling came out to my home in MD and gave me tips and pointers as to how to save money, and to have a little bit less stress during the move. I moved to VA which wasn't too far but far enough. It you are moving don't go out looking for companies that haven't been around for a while. Call Dave... Anyone asks me about moving I say Call Dave....

Terrible! Over priced, things broken and missing and didn’t stick to the agreed upon time. Showed up way early before I even had my settlement completed. Now I know why they try to sell you hundreds of dollars worth of additional insurance...because they will break your stuff! Also took a smoke break inside the truck with my furniture in it!

I recently used DE Moving and Storage to move out of a house and into a 1 bedroom apartment (serious downsizing). I had 2 tasks to move some items to a COW (container on wheels) and some items to my apartment. I had everything color coded with yellow or white masking tape so that made it easy. But the 3 of them had to negotiate the COW because all of my items would not fit. They were very skilled and patient and did a GREAT job with some huge furniture. They didn't nick or bang anything at either place and REALLY had to work hard to get my massive refrigerator out when my front door would not come off. Kasa, Bobby, and Nathaniel were great and were very professional, polite, neat, and skilled at what they were doing. It was extremely hot that day and I actually felt so sorry for them - but they kept moving. They take moving your furniture as if it were their own personal furniture. Sandy and all of the office personnel were also so helpful and I was not the easiest customer as my details seemed to change daily. I am very pleased and impressed! DE Moving & Storage is great in my book and I am so glad I decided to use your services. And the pricing is not at all outrageous either. I look forward to the next stage of my move next year.

After a different mover fell through Delaware Moving and Storage really came through moving our entire house on 48 hour notice. They helped us out of a terrible situation. Delaware Moving and Storage moved my mother from her home to a nursing facility in December. She was very nervous about the move but the driver and crew were excellent. The driver walked through the house to see what was being moved. Made sure to box the mattress and box spring and wrap the other furniture prior to loading the truck. They had everything loaded quickly and joked with my mother along the way which made the move much easier for her. They brought a chair in for her to sit in while they unloaded the truck which was done quickly and efficiently. They checked to make sure everything was placed in the correct spots before leaving. We would recommend Delaware Moving and Storage in a heartbeat.

I'm not sure how review this company, some of their packers were great, some, not so much. I caught one of the movers breaking into my luggage and stealing the contents. I got it back cause the supervisor saw it but really? Not sure if it was the same company but our things were put into large wooden crates for shipping across the country and we had a TON of stuff get broken. They lost paperwork and the whole claim process has been a royal pain, probably time to speak to our legal department honestly.

I am now retired and decided to move closer to my children. I moved from Lewes, DE to Saratogs Springs, NY. I moved the end of March and had a great experience.Wheaton was very easy to work with. My salesperson was top notch. The pricing on my move was moderate. My salesperson Dave Sterling was able to give me some money saving tips which helped a lot. Dave was able to answer all of my questions and did a great job of explaining things to me... Thank you for making my move as easy as possible.

This company is TOP NOTCH!!! We used their services for moving help and storage, and are so glad we did. Everyone that we came in contact with was just so helpful and friendly and accommodating and flexible. Reasonable prices for storage units and moving help, and worth every penny!! We had a really tight budget for moving, and this company was willing to provide lots of different options that worked with our budget. I contacted them multiple times with changes to our moving plan, even up until the day before, and each time they were able to accommodate whatever changes we needed and provide help exactly when we needed it. Their movers are friendly, SO helpful, patient, and super hard workers. They protected all floors and surfaces while they worked, wrapped things, and somehow managed to safely pack every single thing we needed into our storage unit. All of that in 98 degree temps without a single complaint. When unpacking, the movers moved everything into place, set up beds, even tightened loose screws into furniture as they worked. You will not be disappointed if you choose Delaware Moving and Storage!!

I have recently moved with them, and it was quite an unpleasant experience. Initially I thought they may be more experienced, so despite a higher rate, I still chose them. However, it is to my greatest disappointment, as the work was very slow and of poor quality. For example, it took them 30 min to set up the position of the truck after they arrived. I have a 2-bed room apartment, and it's only ~10 min drive to the new house. The whole process took almost 4 hours and cost nearly 900 dollars. The worst thing is that they have caused multiple damages to our furniture and the floor. They claim to repair everything, but the process took nearly a month and the repair was of very bad quality. It is also very hard to communicate with these people. Each time I call them, they always transfer me to some other people and never give me a call back, unless I keep pushing them. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory experience moving with them. I won't work with them myself in the future, and I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

The salesman was wonderful, however, he had nothing to do with the moving and storage of my household. My furniture was damaged, boxes marked "fragile" on all 4 sides and the top were smashed, many items were broken, and so far, I have not been offered any reasonable compensation. Go elsewhere!

The quote for the move was around 2/3 of the others. In retrospect we should have paid more and dealt with someone else. There is too much to complain about to list here. All the screwups were totally avoidable!
