Dishonest, unprofessional, negligent. Please read my husband's detailed review below, DO NOT use their services. Noah's Ark made it effectively impossible for me to use anyone but them to make my interstate move. They had the vast majority (85%) of my things already in storage, and I was consolidating two smaller locations and moving to South Carolina. They quoted me 50% more than any competitor for the interstate move, and when I told them I would be using someone else, they effectively said that they wouldn't be able to take my things out of storage without substantial charges that wouldn't be known until the day the stuff was moved out (I could not get access to my things to move them personally). After several days of back and forth and frustration, I finally agreed to use Noah's Ark after they discounted to within 15% of a competitor because it really felt like there was no other way I was going to get my stuff back at a reasonable cost without getting a lawyer involved, and I was extremely anxious to actually confirm the move. They came to two small apartments in NY to pick up the remaining 15% of my stuff. It was not a big job, just clothes and odds-and-ends, nothing significant. I stepped out briefly as they neared the end of the packing, and when I came back I found out that the foreman had pressured my wife into increasing the level of the tip to $320. Which would have been reasonable if it were for the full move, but it was for 15% of the things that they completed in a couple of hours. I had already tipped on the other 85% and was further going to be tipping again when the things arrived. It was, in any case, grossly inappropriate for them to extort money from her above and beyond what had been offered. When my stuff arrived, I was shocked to see that two guys had been tasked with unloading what it had taken 5+ people to pack in the first place. There were huge and heavy pieces of furniture that while theoretically possible for two people to carry up a flight of stairs, it was simply absurd to ask them to do so. These two guys absolutely killed themselves getting our stuff into the house, and did so incredibly cheerfully and professionally, but there was just no way for them to reasonably manage it all by themselves in any kind of reasonable length of time, so I and my two friends worked with them until 9pm just to get it done. There were an incredible number of things that had just been wildly and haphazardly packed. Furniture not wrapped or in torn boxes. Mattresses just halfway covered in blankets and plastic, everything torn. Half of the stuff looked like someone had hidden a bunch of food inside the boxes and then turned loose a pack of starving wolves in the moving truck. Small example: the most expensive thing I own in the world, a painting, was in a torn box without a label on it. The guys moving my stuff in couldn't tell it was mine so drove off with it still in the truck. When I realized, I tracked him down and he drove 45 minutes out of his way to meet me on the highway and return it to me. He was awesome. Whoever packed it and didn't bother even tagging it, not so much. The insurance claiming process was absurd. I don't even want to get into it other than I'm now 6 months into it and things like, "giant gouge down the middle of my $2,500 walnut table" are assessed at "cosmetic damage only" for $15 despite the fact that it's irreparable and is for all intents and purposes ruined. Broken things in boxes are disallowed because the movers didn't unpack them, which was absolutely physically impossible given the time they had allotted to the move. In summary, I wouldn't recommend Noah's Ark to my worst enemy. Unprofessional, criminally negligent, and operating as if their lives depended on squeezing me for every last nickel they could get.

The team he sent for the move from New Rochelle to Mamaroneck was phenomenal. Professional, friendly, efficient and capable. They made a very stressful situation so much better and everything was great. Would use them again without hesitation!

They were prompt, courteous, and reassuring throughout the process surrounding our move from Greenwich to Stamford. We had 6 guys and 2 26' trucks who smoothly moved everything with nary a scratch on moving day (in the middle of torrential wind and rain, mind you). They even moved our baby grand piano! They did try to get more money out of us for overtime, which we complained about with a call to the office because no one had ever mentioned that possibility prior to the move; that seemed to be something the movers always ask for to see if they can make a few extra bucks on moving day...don't fall for it! In spite of that, all 6 of the movers were very professional and conscientious, and we tipped them well! As far as we were concerned, the move was completed in as perfect a fashion as you can hope for. Thank you Noah's Ark!

DO NOT BOOK I booked Noah's Ark for my move from New Haven, CT to Brooklyn, NY. Martin was the Relocation Specialist who assisted me in booking the move and was extremely professional, responsive, and helpful. He let me know that he would not be working on the day of my move, but assured me that the other Noah's Ark employees would be equally able to assist should anything need attention. On the morning of my move, I found out that both elevators in my building were out of service and that someone had gotten stuck in one the night before. I immediately called the dispatch number, but could not get a response. When the movers arrived I let them know that we would have to rely on the stairs in New Haven (my new building in Brooklyn is stairs only, so they were prepared for stairs on one end already) and apologized even though it was obviously completely out of my control. This is where my pleasant interaction with Noah's Ark abruptly ended... The foreman, John, was unbelievable rude and employed just about every tactic to try to intimidate and take advantage of me. He first tried to get me to postpone my move, which was obviously impossible given that both apartments were rentals - my lease is not adjustable. He then said the price would be significantly more expensive because of the stairs and suggested that I'd been dishonest in saying there would be an elevator to use when I booked the move. When I asked how much more it would cost due to the stairs and how the move would be billed, he was vague and didn't want to give me any information. After much back and forth and him being noncommittal, I received confirmation from the dispatcher that nothing had actually changed - it was still billed hourly at the same rate, but understandably could take more time because of the stairs. Multiple times John then tried to tell me that my 1 bedroom apartment move was a job for 5-6 men rather than the 3 present, which is ridiculous. When he realized I wasn't the girl to take advantage of, he said, "it sucks to be me," and was rude and sulky for the rest of the day. The physical move was quick. It took about 45 minutes for 3 guys to load the truck and about an hour for them to unload, with two flights of stairs in New Haven and two in Brooklyn as well. When it came time for me to pay, he couldn't answer basic questions about the invoicing and got extremely agitated when I asked to make a call to the dispatcher for clarification. Martin must be the only reasonable human working for Noah's Ark because the dispatcher was equally rude and inappropriate with me on the phone. When it was finally over, and I tipped the foreman, he looked at the $120 that I'd handed him, looked back at me and said, "are you kidding?" He then went outside and proceeded to scream into his phone right outside my open window, saying that I'd cursed him out (absolutely untrue) and that the tip I gave him was bullsh*t. I've never been so uncomfortable in my own home or in a situation such as this. While I didn't back down in the moment, he very much succeeded in making me feel unsafe and threatened by the yelling, his body language and the way he spoke to me. Absolutely DO NOT BOOK Noah's Ark Moving and Storage!!

These guys are the best! I've moved with Noah's Ark multiple times since I moved to NY 12+ years ago, and it's always been seamless, from start to finish. I always book the move with Robert and he is a treat - he's kind, and genuine and always remembers when you come back next time. He is such an asset to the company because he makes you feel so welcome and taken care of from the outset. He's efficient and thorough making the booking and compiles an excellent team. The teams are always timely, work smoothly, finish early, and never break anything. I've even used Noah's Ark to move across the country and come back again and wouldn't use anyone else for moves now. Very diligent team rescued us from a horrible moving company that tried to double our moving fee the day of our move a year ago. Noah’s ark arrived two days later and had mildly increased costs as the estimated hours reached higher than our agreement. Nothing broke in our move and the guys always remained professional. Do not use Noah's Ark. I called them for an estimate 6 weeks before our move date. We went through my house's inventory over the phone and then I was sent an estimate. It was the best estimate I got, so I decided to schedule the move and gave them a deposit. 1 week before my move date they called to say they needed to send someone out to confirm the amount of stuff being moved. The person who came out upped our estimate by $1000!!! That was a 75% increase in cost. When we complained we were told they would gladly refund our deposit and we could find someone else. Because we were locked into our move date and couldn't find anyone else in that short amount of time, we had to stay with them. After a lot of yelling on the phone they agreed to knock the price down $400, but we still ended up paying $600 more than the original estimate. On top of that scam, the crew was nice and they were on time, but they were not at all careful. Every single piece of wood furniture was scratched. An entire box of dishes clearly marked "FRAGILE" was dropped and everything was broken. Take my advice and agree to pay a little move up front and find a different company. I’ve had much better experiences with Two Men and a Truck.

WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER! 15 days later and still waiting for our belongings. the truck arrived last night and after it was unpacked we realize that half of our belongings didn't even make it on the truck. "oh the rest of it will be here on saturday" )that was thurs night) no one told us that half our belongings were not on the truck!!! my kids in tears, my work gear not here, SO MUCH BROKEN!! tables with legs ripped off, fabric with tape literally glued on (brand new re-upholstered couch :( and today we are told that the rest of our belongings may be here on sunday, maybe monday... NO talk of compensation, just a lot of run around.

Once they started working it took two hours longer than estimated to load my belongings, and 3 hours longer to unload. They even offered to help me apply pads to the bottoms of my furniture to save my hardwood floors!!! They did all of the packing at my old place and did a great job. By 7pm last night I needed some Ibuprofen for my aching feet and back. Where, in the sea of all of these boxes is that tiny bottle of medicine that I was desperate for??? Well, they labeled my boxes and one of them said MEDICINE!!!! I almost started clapping. They have been the best movers in Connecticut, couldn' ask for better.

We never hired them, but did get an estimate. The quote was nearly double that of two other companies that provided estimates. The estimate just didnt sit right with me, the estimator said we needed two trucks and 6 men. Which I knew sounded off. Please be careful of them ripping you off. My other two estimates said we needed 1 truck and 2 men. So therefore, clearly Noah's Ark was saying we needed more to charge more.

Our move was definitely a stressful one with my husband beginning a new job very quickly and moving to Conshohocken, PA while I was in Stamford, CT left with the responsibilities of packing/cleaning our apartment. From the minute we spoke on the phone I felt I was in good hands. You seemed to know the moving process inside out, were very straight forward about the prices and what was included in the estimate and just seemed down-to-earth. I had called countless moving companies before finding Noah's Ark and was on the phone for hours or felt that there were a lot of hidden fees, you cut right to the chase. I really wish you were the first call I had made and will definitely recommend Noah's Ark to any of my friends, family or co-workers looking to move. Although you were wonderful to deal with the four movers who arrived on time Monday, June 27th were exceptional. Dennis, Junior, Bennie and Ricardo, were very professional yet personable. I felt completely confident with them and my most valued belongings. They were very efficient and we were impressed by how well they worked together as a team. By the end of the move we felt like they had become our friends. It was truly a wonderful experience. Yesterday as I began unpacking the items we had them pack, I was even more impressed by how well everything was packed. They truly take care in what they do and it shows in their work. You and those four men made our move as enjoyable as a move can be. We cannot tell you how appreciative we are and you will definitely be our first call for all our future moves.
