I decided to look for a moving company last minute (about 5 days before I wanted to move) and was able to connect with Father & Son Moving. They recommended that I use 3 workers, rather than 2, as it would be more efficient. I was told the movers would come between 9 am and 10 am. Movers showed up at 9:07, ready and prepared. They loaded all of my things from my 900 sq ft apartment in under an hour. They were careful, safe, and did not damage any of my things. They made it to my new home in great time and unloaded everything very quickly and safely. The guys were SO pleasant, funny, and worked so hard and so fast. I was amazed and am so thankful for their efficient and amazing help/hard work.

I highly recommend Father & Son Moving!! This was my first time using them, and I will certainly use them again and will not hesitate to refer their services to friends and family. I am a very picky person (to say the least) and my expectations were far exceeded, from start (when I received the first call) to finish (when I received a call 2 hours after to follow up to see how things went). This was an "emotional" move for me (due to circumstances), but their A1 Customer Service made things so much easier. I was very disappointed when they broke my living room lamp. I understand that accidents happen, but they first hid it so that I would not notice it. Then, when I told them a lamp is missing, they acted like they didn't know what happened to it. Eventually, they admitted it. Then, their manager promised me to repair the lamp and deliver it back to me. 40 days and 5 phone calls later, they still haven't responded to me. No apology. Nothing. Keep saying the person who is in charge is not there and will call me back. Very disappointed.

This company is fantastic! My aunt and uncle gave me their piano. I needed someone experienced to move it safely to my home. This piano has been in the family for a very long time and it means a lot. From the booking process to the moving day everyone was friendly and professional. Father & Son sent two absolutely lovely gents to get the job done. They took great care at both my aunt's house and mine. And I couldn't believe how quickly and efficiently they we're able to move this heavy instrument. Fathers and Sons movers was AMAZING to work with from beginning to end. I needed to reschedule 4 times due to the first buyer having trouble with financing, They were extremely understanding and accommodating. When the buyer canceled contract they returned my deposit without question. When I got 2nd offer they scheduled move without a problem. Moving day was not only stress free but FUN. We had the most amazing team of James, Christian and Ryan. They were very professional, quick, polite, careful and fun to work with. Had piano on 2nd floor which was a tight fit. They moved it without s scratch on any wall. Brandon who I booked through called after the move to confirm everything went well. We contracted recommended Fathers and Sons moving company to move us from New Haven to Hamden, CT, in June, 2018. They did so over a day and a half. We paid them the agreed price, we tipped the workers and began to unpack. We missed an important and expensive mirror we had decided, at their urging, to allow them to carry rather than bringing it with us to the new house in our car. This was the last item to be loaded and should have been the first off the truck upon arrival. It never appeared. After several interchanges by phone and email with the man in charge, after unpacking and going through all boxes at our new home, as he suggested, there is no mirror. It never made it to our house. Where could it be? We have asked that we be told if it is shattered. We have asked for something of its more than $500 value in compensation since it was lost in their service. There has been no response. To respond would mean being responsible. It must be somewhere. We do not have it. If it's not destroyed, have they stolen it? Had an awesome experience with this moving company and highly recommend them... I cancelled the original movers at a diff co. because they were going to be over 3 hours late (reviews were terrible and noted they are consistently late and have hidden fees), and was willing to wait another day, if needed. When I called Father & Sons Jose was very personable and expedited a quote, little did he know I was going to ask if there was availability for today!! Lol! When I told Jose I needed movers on this very day, he put me on a brief hold only to come Back and surprise me, telling me that he would be with the assigned moving team- go figure! The price was reasonable, even for last minute. Jose and his crew arrived timely, and took great care of my belongings (I had prayed because I have extremely soft leather living room furniture). They worked with diligence, didnt make a mess, and finished faster than I anticipated... they transported my belongings to a storage unit and stacked them very efficiently. I will def call and ask for Jose and his crew again.. its true the best time to move is mid-week, as opposed to the weekend.. dont forget to give a nice tip to these good folks ☺️

I had called and emailed several moving companies that I found on Google. I received a call back from Father & Son Moving the same day (it was a weekend evening also), and the gentleman on the phone was incredibly polite and professional. He took all my information, and I was told I would receive a quote Monday morning. Carlye called me Monday with a great price and was able to schedule a refrigerator move for me at the perfect day/time that I needed. She was incredibly positive and provided great customer service. The movers called ahead to let me know when they would be arriving (about a 30-60 minute warning, which was what I needed). They were very considerate and careful of my home and items. They were polite and friendly, on a day that was freezing. They were just as careful moving the fridge into the second location, and they made sure I was satisfied before leaving. They called their office while still with me to close out the job and make sure I was happy. Carlye followed up with me afterwards again to ask how the move went and if the movers met my standards. I couldn't be happier with the service Father & Son Moving provided.

it was a nerve-racking day....moving an elderly relative from her home to assisted living. Father and Son Moving made it easy and affordable. It started with a phone call and the estimate and move date was set. The crew arrived on move day. They were friendly, kind and ready to work. The home, a condo on the 3rd floor was emptied quickly and efficiently. More importantly, they cared about the pieces they were moving and took every precaution necessary to protect the furniture. They went immediately to the new residence and began moving everything into the 2nd floor apartment. Within an hour they were done. When we were struggling to determine where the couch should go, one of the team made a suggestion and helped us set up the living room. Because they were so efficient in the process the final bill was less than the estimate. This was a bonus but even if the bill was the same as the estimate, the cost of this service was very reasonable. I would definitely use Father & Son Moving for any future moves and highly recommend this excellent company.

Very happy with these guys. On short notice they were able to scramble a crew to move a piano for me in New Haven. Even better when the original crew had mechanical trouble with their moving truck they immediately scrambled another replacement crew from Hartford who managed to still arrive within the originally promised time window. To me this is just great customer service. Accidents happen. But they still came through as promised. Jose and Nick (The A-Team) were very professional, careful and moved an 800 lb vintage piano without any problems or damage to wood floors. Would use this company again.

If I could give no stars I would. This was the worst movie experience I have ever had. I was moving to a new state so I was only taking some of my things and leaving the rest for them to store. They did a horrible job packing and wound up leaving things in my house after the truck had already come so I had to call them to come back. Then I found things were missing and glass pieces that were part of pieces of furniture were not delivered. They were not mindful of anything that was fragile and were the Totally disorganized. I was also told that someone would be in charge of my move and would be there the entire time. Not only was it that person they are but he never really the instructions I gave him to anyone on the team so they had no idea what was going where and as a result break things down that was supposed to remain in storage. It was a disaster and I would never use them or recommend them to anyone. There are relatives working at that company who should not be packing furniture or valuables since I have no idea what they are doing And I had glass things come down without even paper wrapping. They went to a rush to leave that they left their tools.

Easiest move of my life and we have a 1 week old baby. Craig, the gentleman I booked the move with, was so helpful and caring, constantly following up with me. A human answered the phone every time I called and they always knew about my move and could update me or answer questions. Their website has an amazing feature where you can go room by room and show what furniture you have to get an accurate estimate. We packed a lot ourselves before they arrived so the move was actually less than what we were quoted. The gentlemen that came to move us were so lovely and gentle with our stuff and made sure to not pack anything I needed for the baby. Will definitely recommend and use them again.

Choosing Father & Sons Moving in Wallingford CT was the best decision I made for our complex move. I knew this was a professionallyl run organization, when they arrived, all 4 individuals came up to me and introduce themselves, giving me a feeling of total security as well as relief. Without hesitation, the packing started and the move was on. The delivery went perfectly. The same crew for the pickup and delivery made it exceptionally smooth. We did not feel rushed, as far as where certain items were going within the condo. They were even helpful with suggestions where certain items to be placed! Finally the move was complete and now final payment. I talked to the sales manager on the phone, who I first met when interviewing other moving company's. There were a few additional charges, as well as a few discount offered by one of the seasoned movers. Final payment was made without hesitation! Father and Sons Movers are #1! I moved this past week and had two trucks and six movers. All six of the men were polite, hard-working, friendly and appreciative. They worked 8 hours on a hot day. I bought them lunch and tipped them far less than I feel they deserved. So far, only one casualty of the move - a shot glass,. I call that a win! I would definitely hire Father and Son Movers again! I moved from a second floor apartment with very steep narrow stairs on a day that was around 10 degrees and very windy. It was also my birthday. It COULD have been a terrible day, but the movers from Fathers and Sons made it SO GREAT. I actually enjoyed my moving day! They were positive and friendly and so accommodating. And also, not one thing was broken. Thank you Father and Sons, I can't say enough about this experience.

The movers were very friendly and helpful. However not very competent. Half of my boxes were labeled to go to New Jersey and half of them labeled to go to storage when I arrived at the storage unit many of my New Jersey boxes were there and the movers told me there was no space for them to go to Jersey and I had to deal with them being put into storage and they were very tired so just put things in and I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to access them. They did help me move for over eight hours. Not sure why it took eight hours. But then I got to New Jersey to unpack and everything that was in the New Jersey truck was supposed to be in storage!!! Now I have to hire another moving crew to bring all the things that belong in storage back to Connecticut and have someone unload the storage unit so I can make a swap. Overall they were nice but I have more of a headache now and I have to come up with another grand to get my stuff moved correctly. Not to mention all the food products that were supposed to be put in my car that were put at the bottom of a trailer underneath things that didn’t belong in New Jersey. Had I not been looking for the items that never showed up I never would’ve found three bags and over $300 worth of food items that I had to throw out. They also threw out my medicine. I don’t know why. I’m very upset and hoping that they compensate me for my troubles and having to hire another moving crew because their crew messed up

Each crew of movers were professional, responsible, courteous and hard-working. My belongings were meticulously handled and well cared for during the moves and while in storage. The cost was extremely reasonable and the service exceptional. My initial consultation about the move with Craig was very professional and clear - about their process, and All the costs involved. They sent an estimate very quickly, and their price was very reasonable & competitive. No unexpected charges. An aside - I found Father & Son moving, after canceling a previous mover for wanting payment in full, ahead of the move. This was a significant red flag. I had 3 wonderful movers, Kenny, Loius & Dale, who were professional, friendly and organized, working consistently throughout the day to make it a smooth, uneventful and Calm move. Moving, for us, was stressful and an upheaval, and we were very emotionally attached to our house of more than twenty years. Dwayne, Brandon and Koran kept our spirits up, with their playful repartee and excellent work ethic. They were determined to get us up and out in the most positive way they could, and they did it in a jovial and good natured way. On the other end of things, moving in was conducted with professionalism and alacrity by Kenny, Lewis and Ishmael. All three men were gentlemanly, hardworking and kind. Lewis was a machine when it came to moving boxes ( of which there were many) while Kenny's quiet overseeing, and Ishmael's unbelievably sweet nature and fantastic moving skills, got the job done in good time. Both crews were top notch and great people. In addition to the crews, we worked on the phone with Joe, who guided a precarious process of schedules, closing times, overnight messages and other anxiety producing twists and turns. Alisha was also great, and guided me through the storing of my late mother's piano, a difficult process. So I recommend everyone at Father and Son Moving and Storage and thank them again.

We booked for a certain date, they called and said they double booked therefore asking if the day before or after was okay. We were able to do so but wanted to agree on a cheaper rate which Tony agreed to. We were charged in full and then when we called multiple times no one wanted to take responsibility. We had things moved to storage and specifically asked to have things to the front; our wishes were not respected. Instead, at the end the team said they could do it but that’s going to be another hour worth of charge. They were very friendly, worked at a decent pace, we tipped a few hundred bucks because despite the managements poor customer service, those doing the job should not be penalized although it was not done exactly correctly, a few minor changes to the unit were able to be done. Would not recommend this company, will definitely use All My Sons as we have in the past. We paid over a thousand dollars for not even a full truck loads worth of stuff, 2 bedroom place. Unprofessional staff, save your time.

Wow, such a great experience start to finish! From the time an actual human answered my phone call on a Saturday morning, and guided me through a discussion of my needs, to receiving the estimate and a link to an online app for listing my item inventory, getting set up and booked was incredibly easy. My three-man crew was professional and friendly and arrived right on time. I cannot say enough good words about Ervin, Louis and Jovan...the worked quickly but carefully, communicated clearly with me throughout the loading process, and packed my PODS container perfectly with not even a few inches to spare. They were pure GENIUS in handling my piano and assembling a custom built crate around it, as well as an expensive piece of artwork that required special handling. I feel confident my goods will arrive in excellent condition thanks to their expert care. In 30 years of cross-country moves, I have NEVER rated a moving company five stars, but Father & Son absolutely earned the highest marks. The whole process from calling and speaking to a representative, then to scheduling the move and to delivery was flawless. We found Father and Son Moving and Storage through a google search. We saw others and called one, but the promise of 4 movers and possibly over 700.oo dollars for what we wanted seemed a bit much. First we talked with Bob, and he gave us a certain price based on the items involved with a piano, and the estimate was around 420.00. We liked having confidence in the price. We knew it was fair and agreed. Scheduling was easy, as their times were flexible. As the time for the move, then were on time, they also only took a down payment, so we did not have to pay them upfront for the whole job till it was completed. The arrived at our home quickly with all items packed safe and well. The mover employees were both kind, positive and professional. I would use this company again without a doubt. Bob called and patiently explained error which was low by 50%. He was able to adjust to 1/2 of the additional charge. Fair for all parties. We were in a pinch and not only did they make a Christmas miracle come true for a 9 year old with autism they also donated their time to do it!!! Jose, the professional mover in charge and his team were absolutely fantastic. Nicest guys ever. Walter, the owner, even made an appearance to insure there were no issues. What was moved??
