BEWARE THIS COMPANY. If I could give this company 0 out of 5 stars I would. I don't even know where to begin They lied about not having toll money so I paid their tolls to and from out of my own pocket. They didn't send the amount of people I asked for. They damaged property, lost pieces and were overall careless with my things. The movers left all of my furniture in a giant pile in my new place claiming they ran out of time. When I begged for help questioning how was I, one woman, supposed to move all this heavy furniture on my own, all they said was "really wish we could help." I ended up having to move everything they piled up in my front room back outside, BY MYSELF, just so i had enough room to move and place everything where I wanted. What is the point of paying them when I had to do the moving myself? Stress free service is their motto? Seriously what a joke. Oh and they have despicable customer service to boot. Good luck getting any type of help. The 800 number totally washes their hands of any responsibility and you have to deal directly with the branch who moved you. One of the people I spoke to at the 800 number suggested I call friends to come help me move the pile of furniture. Really? When I called the local branch to complain I went back and forth back and forth, for literally HOURS, before I was finally told I can hire them AGAIN to finish the job that should have been finished right in the first place, at $120 an hour. This is $10 more per hour than they charged me for the initial move. Keep in mind I already paid them $900+ including tip. No offer of money back or money off. No offer to make things right or any type of compensation for my time and inconvenience. Absolutely terrible company. I wouldnt reccomend College Hunks to my worst enemy, that's how bad it is.

They removed my item, which was large and unwieldy with no problem and also noticed and volunteered to take a small part I had forgotten about. Saved me some hassle. The two men who came to remove our old chairs, Devon and Larry, were professional, friendly and efficient. I would happily use them again if needed. My issue would be with the company. When I called the main number to schedule, I was given a 2-4 PM time for the following day. After rearranging my schedule, I was called an hour before and told there was no room on the truck and I'd have to schedule the following day. I was told that this sometimes happens with later pick-ups. Had I been told this at the time I booked, I'd have booked an AM appointment. Also I was told the price was $100 for up to an eighth of a truck which turned out to mean less than an eighth. An eighth of a truck jumps to $150. I feel the company is splitting hairs to make the price seem lower than competitors. I prefer to know upfront!!!

I called them to confirm my moving date 2 weeks ago, but just realized they made a mistake for my appointment 1 DAY before moving. No truck anymore. I'm desperate with all my house stuff are packed at the end of month and waiting to my landlord to kick me out. No truck, no workaround, no compensation, nothing for their mistake. If you want to make an appointment with them, you better be careful till the last day.

They did a terrible job. They didn't use protective pads when they dragged the refrigerator across the living room. This caused a lot of damage to the floor - scratches and gouges. Apparently, the moving of the refrigerator and the complaints I made were made during the time when the previous owner filed a bankruptcy and was in the process of transferring the ownership to Mr. Chad Rogers. I reached out to the new owner, Mr. Chad Rogers, for assistance. His response/excuse was that he was not the owner at that time. I wish he would be more helpful with my situation. It was so disappointing. If he was very helpful and responsive to my situation, I’d have used his company to get rid of some more junks I have. I advise you not to use CHHJ for the following reasons: (a) If you are concerned about maintaining the good condition of your home, it is better to use professional and experienced movers, not the inexperienced, college-type guys. (b) It is better to work with a company that is not a local owned. The reason is …if something happens and the owner files a bankruptcy or ceases to be the owner, the new owner will tell you that he has nothing to do with it and will not solve the issues you are having. It is wiser to work with a big company—they are more likely to have an insurance that will cover the damages.

I wanted to donate furniture to goodwill and saw that this moving company was associated with them. It was easy to go through Goodwill's website and book a time for the truck. There were no hidden fees either. I received a phone call and text message letting me know they were close by. Bill and Andrew showed up soon after that. Both men were professional and kind. I followed the 1/8 truck amount and did whatever could fit in with that. It didn't cost much and they even took some furniture that couldn't be saved to our own dumpster in our complex bc I couldn't carry it. They were truly wonderful and I would recommend this company again and Bill and Andrew are two great guys!

Tony an Pat did a real fine job moving our stuff into shipping containers. We had antique wood furniture that they handled very carefully. My hat is off to them and the corporate staff for making it happen. Several weeks ago I called to make sure there was availability for a particular date, then I made sure to take the day off work and verify that the containers would be there too. Well, just one thing I forgot to do - call back and lock in the date with the Hunks. The day came. Where are they? Duh! Thank you for last minute fitting us in. We will use your services again.

They told me that for the sectional it would be the max price of $350, when I spoke to 2 different people on the phone they both said I would come close to max. I called for an estimate in the evening and they came 8 am the next day. It was Pat and Kevin and they were friendly and mannerly.The day of the job they called a 1/2 hour before arriving and were exactly on time . Matt, Jeff and Pat were friendly, mannerly, fast, efficient, professional and cleaned up better then other service people I've had do jobs. They were very careful not to mark up walls and the items they moved for me to the basement was a very tight area. Same with bringing items up from the basement for junk removal. I had other estimates from other companies where they wanted to pick and choose what items they would remove and I didn't find that with College Hunks. They did everything I had called about. I would absolutely recommend them to people and use them again.

This is the second time I've used College Hunks, this time to dispose of my hot tub, and I can't say enough positive things about the whole experience. Specifically, LORENZO, MARC, JEFF, and BILLY were all so courteous, thoughtful, and downright charming, it was a real pleasure. It was an awkward pathway to get to the truck. The hot tub had to be tilted sideways to get it through my backyard gate, and it was a super heavy load to handle. They got their strategy together and orchestrated the move brilliantly. All four young men were strong and worked well as a team. They were smart and responsible guys, and I felt confident that my home and yard were safe in their hands. My first experience with College Hunks was just as positive. All of the young men you've sent out have been respectful and cheerful and engaging. It's nice to see. Moosters Hauling/College Hunks gave us such POOR QUALITY moving. Extremely unsatisfactory from the moving team to the office manager. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Quote was for a 3 man team - gave us 2. Moving team said they had no money for tolls. My family provided them with toll money. They literally shoved our furniture into one room with a “No we can’t move that to another room won’t fit” and a “We are out of time anyway. We have to go”. Imagine a moving company moving all your furniture into one room and leaving! That is what they did. The office manager was so incompetent she was not able to understand that her best crew did not do their job and was not willing to resolve the situation in any way. Stress free moving? Only if you like living in a small room with a cattle path through upended sofas chairs and tables!

We just had Matt, Jose and Declyn remove branches, vines, weeds, yard waste and old wooden fencing and posts. They were so friendly and professional. very knowledgeable. They called ahead of time and were on time. did a fantastic job quickly and cleaned up everything. would highly recommend. only reason why I gave 4 stars is because it was a little pricey which is no fault of the 3 guys.... they were great!!! suggestion for the company is maybe lower your prices a little. I used the junk hauling service. Booking was quick and easy, the person on the phone was very helpful, and the people doing the moving were nice as well. Beware - this service can be quite expensive relative to the work done. I was quoted between $100 and $400 depending on how much of the truck I my stuff used, and to expect to be closer to $100 based on my description. The one oversized armchair, end table, and large bedroom mirror barely took up any space. Yet, one H.U.N.K. eyeballed it after it was all loaded and charged me $205. I felt a bit taken in on the price and couldn't really do anything, as the service was already provided.

the management at CHHJ is awful. the employees are treated like garbage and are expendable. they’re worked to death and not compensated for their efforts. my friend who also worked at CHHJ was labeled “fat zach” by management which is extremely unprofessional and rude towards him. when i worked here i was threatened by management with forceful removal from a job site by the police for being too tired and him “not wanting to deal with me”. if you’re thinking about working here i advise you find something else.

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! Only choose this company if you want all of your furniture damaged! And of course they first have you sign a damage waiver before they start. First of think college kids with no moving experience, obviously no training, and no desire to work, and that is what you will get. They were complaining and swearing throughout the whole move. They used a hand truck with exposed bolts and and no padding to move furniture and damaged everything. Furniture was not secured on the truck, tossed around on the move and further damaged. They moved several pieces with feet, caught them in the lip on the tail gate and broke off the feet. Some of the more damaged pieces they laid down out of the way so I wouldn’t see the damage until after they left. Do yourself a favor and throw your furniture away and pocket the hundreds of dollars they are going to charge you. Or contact an experienced mover who knows what they are doing. This company really shouldn’t be in business. Really just a horrible experience

We used College HUNKS to load & unload our 26' truck. Cole came to give me a quote and he was professional, kind, and thorough. He followed up with me promptly when I had questions via email. Shelbi did a nice job of confirming both the details and the move itself.Move out day: My HUNKS showed up within the promised window and were extremely polite. The asked questions when they needed clarification and thanked me profusely for providing cold drinks and snacks throughout the day. There were four guys and they were all great! They were concerned that they wouldn't fit all of our items in the truck, but they persevered and made it happen!Move in day: My HUNKS showed up 10 minutes AFTER the promised window. There were only three guys when my contract said I would have four. That was no big deal because the three of them made FAST work of that 26' truck and were done in about 2 hours. I was disappointed in the lack of "finishing." All items were dropped in the appropriate rooms, but I couldn't be everywhere it once, so I did not notice how unorganized the drop was until after they were gone and I got through the house. I would've expected them to put drawers back in dressers, to stack things against walls instead of in the middle of the room, place all "like parts" (ie: headboard/mattress/rails) together instead of randomly throughout the room. I take some of the blame in this as I certainly could've asked them to stay a few minutes while I checked to make sure things were to my liking.Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend the service. The experience made moving a whole lot less work for me and I appreciated their dependability!

Pros: Arrivied on time, very polite, professional and worked extremely hard on a 10 hour day. Cons: Not enough moving experience. Had 2 new guys in crew I have very heavy and very expensive furniture. They did not have belts or proper equipment. One guy slices his hand pretty good and they don’t carry a first aid kit. They shattered the glass and and damaged the wood corner on a $2000 curio cabinet. They only covered $.60 a pound, they dropped the bottom of a secretary and got several gouges and scratches. It had been in mint condition . Scrapped paint off of one wall, put a dent in a ceiling. So for all the damage I received $120. The final bill was another surprise. There was a $240 truck fee which I was never told about. They said it was in the fine print of an agreement that was emailed to me. Additionally they way UNDERESTIMATED the quote. It was almost double. Botttomline guys gave 200%, but they do not have the skills, starting with the sales person, to do high end furniture moves. A standard move yes, but get the extra insurance (which the salesperson forgot to add). The $.60 is nothing and won’t eeplace anything.

When they were finish and the first days paperwork was complete the total was less than what was estimated. On 6/8 Alex, Will & Josh arrived on time and after the paperwork went right to work. We had added extra furniture to move and when finished still were done in less time then was estimated which means lower cost for a second time. One of the worst experiences moving I have ever had. They were an hour late and never called. We had to call the office to find out where they were. They came unprepared with no moving dolly. They took dressers and TV stands with items still in them and tipped them completely over on their tops. They stood my couch on its end and broke the arm. It took them 5 1/2 hours to move a one bedroom apartment with three guys. It was 2 hours over what they quoted us and offered nothing for how slow they moved. They are offering $200.00 for a $800.00 couch. Tom at their office was extremely rude and disrespectful on the phone. I would rather move myself then ever use this company again.

Our office used College Hunks for removal of unwanted furniture and for a move from one office to another. Lorenzo and Daniel for the unwanted furniture removal were efficient, courteous and extremely careful not to bump walls or doorways. Unfortunately, their truck was not equipped with a hand truck, but I had mine from home and allowed them to use it. Although the temperature was in the 90's with high humidity, they were always extremely polite and professional. Two days later, we again used College Hunks for the move. Sixto, Jon, and Chris did a fantastic job moving heavy pieces of furniture and assisted each other in maneuvering the tight angles around doorways. They had dollies for the heavy items, but no tools to take apart a conference table that wouldn't fit through the door. Seems like the trucks need to be better equipped for the workers to do their jobs efficiently. That being said, I absolutely would use College Hunks again. Both moves were quickly completed with no damage to walls, doors or furnishings. ALL of the workers were polite (kudos to their parents for the ma'am's and sir's with which they addressed my employer and I!). Most importantly, the price was reasonable.
