Damaged multiple pieces of furniture showed up 30 minutes late. Worked hard all day, but just didn't take good care to not damage furniture. Did not wrap anything in plastic. Did not come prepared to break down and furniture. In addition, did not put furniture back together unless asked to.

This company was my LIFESAVER!!! When my movers from another company (will not name) did not show up after multiple phone calls all day long, the "2 young studs" were there to save my bf and I at 8:30pm at night so that we could get on the road as planned the next morning for our 14+ hour drive south. I would recommend this company any day, plus the movers who came were polite, didn't damage anything and got our truck packed in 2 hours!! Honestly so happy that Chris picked up the phone and said yes to helping us move after a very horrific day.

On Saturday the 25th of November my original moving company was a no show. I called 2 Young Studs and spoke to Chris. I asked if he had anything for a move during the week. I explained what happened. He said that he could get me moved that day. I gave him the info and 2 guys showed up within an hour. What I thought would be 4 hours at the most ended up 7 hours. I had 3 friends and a cousin also help. I had 3 cars take lots of stuff and the truck carried my furniture and containers and boxes. When we got to the apartment the guys did the furniture. My friends used 3 carriages and went back and forth bringing all the boxes and containers off of the truck. I had some of my leather on my furniture nipped. When it was time for the Bill I didn't expect the price since the 2 guys only did the furniture and we did every box and container. The only thing for the company is to really think about some way to transport leather furniture. I Thank Chris for this last minute move. I would recommend them to friends.

2 young studs moving company was fantastic. The 2 movers that came to our home were true professionals. Polite and friendly. They handled the moving of our furniture with great care. And they were much more affordable than other companies we received quotes from. They also stored our furniture for 3 weeks in their 'COWS' until we were ready to move into our new home. This storage fee was also much less than others. I will be recommending them to my friends and family

If there were zero stars I would leave that. Not only was Chris very hostile and difficult to deal with once we had paid our deposit, but several items were damaged during the move, including our flat screen TV. Chris claims we signed something that all damage reports had to be made during one day, but we never signed that document. He has failed to produce it.

These movers are fantastic and I'm happy I found them. I've moved almost 10 times in the NYC / Fairfield area in the past decade and this is the best moving company I've encountered. The two movers were so nice and attentive and incredibly speedy. Scheduling was easy, as well as getting a clear rate and estimated time. They completed our move with 2 guys in 4 hours, whereas other companies were quoting 3 guys and/or 5-6 hours (and that's what it's taken in the past). I can't recommend them enough, I'll be using them again for sure!

I hired 2 Young Studs at the recommendation of a relative and was not disappointed. The move was more complicated than I had anticipated because the service elevator at the facility was so far from where the apartment was located. Both movers were very cooperative, cordial and helpful. The were willing to take whatever was asked of them and were careful with all the furniture etc. A great experience.

I want to preface this by saying that the people who actually came and moved me were great. My problem with this company is the severe lack of organization and Chris's hostility. Movers were 6 hours late, without giving me an update. I ended up moving at 9 pm. I called Chris 2 hours after my scheduled time to get some sort of timeline, which he wasn't really able to provide. They were completely overbooked. My movers had been working for 14 hours before they arrived at my house. I moved from a high-rise where at least 2 of my neighbors used this company to move on the same day. Their moves were also hours late and disorganized. Then, Chris tried to charge me more money by sending a 4 man crew that I did not ask for. He was very hostile over the phone. I told him I wanted to stick with the original quote and he hung up on me. All that being said, I wouldn't recommend them, especially if you are moving on a busy day. The building staff at the apartment, who see dozens of moves a month, were dumbfounded by all the chaos and will also not be recommending them in the future.

Here is all you need to know. We were told there would be 2 trucks. They sent one, so the move took 3 trips adding to our time and invoice. My 3 month old 75” flat screen had $1,800 worth of damage to it...Chris offered $100 and said that is “generous” as they make you sign a document basically offering .60 per pound for damaged items, regardless of value. I would advise anyone to steer clear of this company. They are not adequately insured to cover high priced items being damages. Very disappointed.

I really did not want to write this review, but I feel like I must. Please, do not use this firm, they are untrustworthy, rude, and downright unprofessional. My experience was just awful. My number one rule for online reviews: If you want to judge the character of a firm, just look at the responses the owner as written. For 2 Young Studs, its clear the management is a mess and they cover up for their mistakes with bullying. There weren't many great options for moving companies, so I broke my own rule and gave this firm a try thinking, why not? I should have listened to my own rule. 1) Management is lazy and unresponsive: Its a game of roulette. You can never get a hold of anyone, you can't get your questions answered. A big problem when your planning a move. 2) They are condescending and rude: When I talked to management, I was shocked! The attitude of management here is just appalling. Never in my life have I encountered a firm that has so much animosity towards their customers. I got the feeling very quickly that they don't value you, they just want your $$$. 3) They are unprofessional: It feels more like a back room deal with a few shady characters than working with a real company. I should have run the other way when i saw their sketchy website, but I didn't. The encounter was no better, it just felt very unprofessional. Just look at the other negative reviews, I know i'm not alone here.

The two guys who moved my stuff from New Haven to a storage place in NYC were fantastic. Nothing was damaged, they were quick and efficient, and they were very personable. Perhaps one of the nicest touches was just calling to let me know they were coming (and they arrived dead on time) and to let me know they had arrived at the storage unit. The owner, Chris, was also really great and seems to care both about the customer and his employees. The price I was given was all inclusive up-front with the only expected extra a 10-20% tip. I would use these guys again and have already recommended them to friends.

They are incredible! They hit traffic so got a later start but they called to give me a heads up - can't ask for more than that. I did not know people could work that hard anymore! Josh & Edwin took no breaks, were happy & friendly and managed to move my 2 bedroom, 2ND FLOOR apartment in 3 hours! That includes travel time and unloading. I mean seriously!? Not even sure how they did it! And to top it off it was in the 80s and 95% humid. I was honestly wandering if it was worth the expense as I've had a lot of bad movers and a few that weren't bad - or so I thought. After this move, I'll never hire anyone else and make sure all my friends use them. Simply excellent experience!

Our movers just finished and WOW were we impressed! We are so happy with the way Shane and David moved our belongings; they were careful, thoughtful in the way they were packing our rental truck, and even with a sleeper couch going down the stairs in a tight spot left no scratches on the wall or the couch! I have personally used this company several times while I was in college and still to this day! Two Young Studs just moved me again on Dec 27th. The movers were both polite and diligent. They took great care of the items I felt were important to me (tv & antiques). I work at Yale and have recommended them to coworkers and they have moved them out of state and loved them too! This company is one of the most accommodating companies I've ever encountered. Poor overall experience. Since I need to select a Star for a review, I selected the least valuable star, however the experience was a negative 2 Stars overall. Scheduled two trucks and 4 Studs at noon, one truck showed up at 12:45, the other at 1:30. I had called the manager several times to inquire about the arrival time as I was very concerned about the pending thunderstorm forecasted for the evening. No return call. So far, zero stars. One Stud had to leave and was replaced by another. Another Star demerit. The 4 Studs continued to work but their energy waned later into the evening when it started pouring. After informing management that we experienced dropping and dragging a $4,000 white couch, scratching 4 pieces of furniture we still did not get a call back. Another Star demerit. The guys were good people, polite and courteous, but poorly trained. Disappointing.

Jeremy, Brandon, and Alex were friendly, helpful, polite, efficient, respectful, personable. Willing to work with what we had as far as how we packed our stuff. They moved our family of three in 4 hours. Unfortunately, my bass guitar and an air filter were dropped. Also they bumped my freshly painted walls while carrying a large desk. No damage to items or wall, but also no acknowledgement or apology. Even though this happened, yes, we WOULD hire them again if need be.

Dave and josh were very laid back, hard working and nonjudgmental of my minimal packing. The cost was exactly what was quoted, making the reservation and paying was incredibly easy, and they arrived on time at 6am!

Movers beware. Unfortunately, this review is following a subpar experience with the owner, Chris, who provided a weak estimate due to a serious lack in knowledge gathering proper information revolving my move. My quote and time frame did not match the actual outcome as the movers were understaffed. To be exact, two men on an easy 3-4 man job. They were not provided adequate tools and/or box truck which inadvertently trickled down to a far longer move time. Although the men moving my belongings were professional and respectful, they were definitely understaffed. My brother had to get involved with physically helping move my furniture. In the end all of my belongings didn’t make it into my new space and had to be brought back. After speaking to Chris about how this effected the transition into my new apartment it was clear that the reviews stating his hostility to past customers were true. To any future movers, I recommend looking into another company as the experience will leave you unsatisfied. My sister moved with McCabes in Southington and was in her new place without any ease. Taking away from this whole experience, a more suiting name would be “Two Young Duds”.

Moving is difficult. The movers arrived when promised and weren't even fazed when they saw the mess. They were so laid back, yet so efficient! Courteous, strong, personable, careful, affable, and absolutely superb at lifting and carrying tons of stuff. They climbed the stairs over and over and didn't even look tired. Hired these guys 4 years ago for a move. Saw a truck on the highway today that prompted this review. I couldn't believe they are still in business. The movers were fine, prompt and professional. They did however break a $700.00 cabinet during loading. Accidents happen. I wasn't upset.... Until I spoke with Chris, the owner. He offered me some ridiculous compensation. I think it was like $50 off the price of the move. When I objected, he showed his true colors and was completely disrespectful and rude. Totally unprofessional. Read through these reviews and you will notice a common theme. The owner is a jerk. Great moving company of nothing goes wrong. If you have a problem you will rue the day you hired them.

Professional Company & Movers: Above & Beyond 5 Stars! Excellent!!! Incredible experience from start with Chris (ease of booking/scheduling & estimate for two movers and a truck) to finish/completion with Brian and Louis on the day of the move!!! For years, we’ve moved our adult kids in and out of dorms and apartments. This time, based upon the location (brownstone in South Boston- 2nd Floor with small spiral stairway, small street with limited to no parking) and “stuff” that needed to be moved, we decided to hire this company (recommended by a friends college age daughter). I was completely & totally impressed! Spectacular job!!! Brian and Louis called to let us know they were on their way, called with ETA twice (once for traffic delay and 2nd when they were 5 min. away) were on time, pleasant, professional, polite, strong and efficient! They moved everything perfectly and with no issues or concern. They were prepared with tools, blankets, etc. Without a doubt this company is above and beyond excellent!! I had the best experience with my movers last weekend. It was a short move within CT but the guys were friendly, helpful, and extremely reliable. They didn't even mind waiting an extra 20 minutes at my storage facility while I got held up in traffic. I thought I left a review for this before, but it must have slipped my mind. I used this moving company back in the fall. Terrible experience and not actually that reasonably priced. The guys who showed up were several hours late, which is really awesome when you're trying to only take a half-day off work. They paid no attention to which boxes were labeled as "FRAGILE" and "DISHES" and were throwing them on top of each other. One of the guys literally dropped the box with dishes on the stairs--right in front of my aghast face--because he had stacked the boxes in such an unstable way. Luckily I had wrapped the dishes in many, many layers, so there wasn't damage, but the lack of care was awful. Right after this, they demanded a $100+ tip. Also, Chris is a nightmare to deal with. Super nice when you're booking a reservation, and then right after you're on the hook, his attitude completely changes if you need something. Unprofessional and rude.

They agreed to a flat-rate but afterwards directly asked for $60 to cover the extra time. Many bottles and glassware were broken, and the corridor is still sticky three days after. DO NOT recommend, wouldn't have spent $240 with them ever again.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I am overwhelmingly impressed! Another mover cancelled on me this morning. I called Two Young Studs movers to move my business from a second floor business in Wallingford to Cheshire. I was told they would be there by 1:00. At about 1:30 Chris called to say they were running late but they would be at my shop to move me today, not to worry. Chris kept in touch with me until about 4:30 when they arrived. 2 studs in a truck. They were smart and figured out how to move the heavy tables and display cases using the least amount of effort possible. As it was already getting late. They called in backups. 2 more studs came in another truck and they all moved fast, they were nice, conscientious and careful. I cannot say enough good things about the 4 guys. They were all smart and personable. Not big hulking muscly gym rats. These guys were all clean cut, lean efficient guys. Not only that, but the last minute job (same day as booking) with 2 trucks and 4 dudes came in $300 less than I was quoted by the mover who bailed in the morning! HAPPY CUSTOMER!

Two Young Studs did a great job moving us from MA to CT. It was a difficult move from a 3 floor walk up but Jeremy and Ronnie handled it like pros. They were efficient and helpful the entire move. Horrible service. Prices changed when the movers arrived. Movers came with small truck. Took two trips to complete the move, which increased the price. My furniture was damaged. My hardwood floors and freshly painted walls were also damaged. Would not recommend.

My friend Robin was moving into a new house in Wolcott on 11/17/2018 and I suggested this company for him. He had Davon and Christian as his movers. We both can not say enough about these two very hard working young men. The day was very long as there was a lot to be moved-- it is amazing in how much stuff one person can accumulate over a lifetime. Davon and Christian kept moving all day long. The pieces to be moved were all very heavy pieces- such as pool table, large beds, weights, over loaded dvd and movie boxes , heavy furniture, etc….. There was an enormous amount of stairs at this new house. The hard part was a spiral staircase in the house where some of the heavy pieces had to be lifted up to a 2nd floor railing and pulled in through sliding glass doors. We were a very worried if any of this would be possible. They did it!! They did not quit till the entire job was done. They went back to the house that was being moved out of for a second load probably about the time they should have been returning home. I think this was probably one of the hardest moves they ever had to do. Davon and Christian are such an asset to the 2 Young Studs Moving Company and we commend them for one of the hardest backbreaking jobs anyone can have. They were very polite, well mannered, and kept smiles on their face the whole time. They were like family by the time they left and are now invited back for Robins Company Christmas party. Stay away! for the love of God! All of these other reviewers are probably friends and family. Very suspicious. This was by far, one of the worst moving experiences of my life (and I have moved >10 times). I don't ask for a lot from movers but this was ridiculous. I hired 3 movers to move our 3 bed house. Of course we pay by the hour so they were taking their sweet time. I moved nearly the same amount of furniture 1 year ago with 2 movers and it took a total of 4 hours. This group of 3 studs took 6 hours. Here are my complaints: Firstly, it was the first move of the day, scheduled to arrive at 7am, but the movers did not get there until 7:45. After the painfully slow load, they drove their truck to our new location and got "lost on the way". We drove out of the old house 10 minutes after they left and got to the destination over 20 minutes before them. It was 2 miles away! how does it take 30 minutes to drive 2 miles. Then, we found 2 broken bookshelves, a dropped and broken ping-pong table and a broken desk (several hundred dollars to replace). On top of all of this, the movers put large gashes on the wall of our previous house leaving our old landlord furious and threatening to bill us for the repairs. THEN, I called the manager (Chris) to inform him of my displeasure. He proceeds to call me a liar and insults my wife and then hangs up the phone on me. I politely call back stating "the line must have dropped" and he said, "no, I hung up on you! I don't want to deal with liars and hung up again". He would not even talk with me! So he told his men to grab all our furniture put it back in the truck and take it back to our old house and dump it in the front yard. Who does that! The owner said he would refund us our deposit (which of course he never did). We had to bribe the movers (600$) to have them finish the job. And then we had to buy new furniture and pay to get repairs of the wall damage. All in all, we lost over a thousand dollars on a 2 mile move, got insulted and mistreated and had to rely on bribes to get our furniture back. I am filing a complaint on BBB. Do your self a favor and hire a real company that values the customers.

I moved from a private home in Greenfield Hills across town to an apartment in downtown Fairfield Ct. It meant many stairs for the movers. Andrew and Michael were outstanding. Very professional. Helpful. Wonderful attutude. I highly recommend them. It was easy from the intial conversation with Chris to complettion. Can't do any better with any other company.

This company was very prompt with my inquiry. The charges are reasonable and straight forward. The scheduling is easy and reminder emails are convenient. When I had to change my date, the response was prompt and professional. Pat and Ryan did a great job with the move on one of the hottest and most humid days all summer. An update- Chris and I came to an agreement through our attorneys that he would replace the tv and fix the furniture. The matter is now resolved. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, OWNER IS A NASTY, UNPROFESSIONAL JERK!!! During the move, two valuable pieces of antique furniture were badly damaged, as well as a 36" flat screen tv destroyed due to a crack in the screen. I totalled my car during the move and was given the "contract" to sign after almost losing my life and with a concussion, and at the end of a fourteen hour move as a result of the accident. Chris never discussed the optional insurance coverage with me, and refused to take any responsibility whatsoever for the damages. Bad business practices.

We are having our floors refinished, and we used 2 Young Studs Moving to move half our furniture to one half of the house and then vice versa. The owner, Chris, sent 2 different pairs of young guys each of the two times, and both pairs were tremendously courteous, extremely hard-working, careful with our furniture, and good problem solvers. Chris has great guys working for him, a number of whom appear to be college students. I appreciated that the job wasn't too small, and I thought the price was more than fair. Highly recommended!

The guy in charge of the 3 man moving crew seemed quite accommodating and professional, and tried to remedy problems that came up (breaking a handle off my dresser, part of my power screwdriver going missing during the move) but it wasn't enough to be frustrated with the 3rd man. The 3rd showed up 20min after the other 2 started, placed tons of things in wrong rooms (after being expressly told which room to go to) so that either myself or the head mover got to move it again. Honestly, it felt like having some acquaintances come over and move my stuff - they didn't unwrap any of the furniture, told me things wouldn't fit without trying, and left items outside because the back door was closed. Definitely not using them again.
