If I could give zero stars I would. Company didn't bring adequate supplies for our gov move, did not pack to gov specifications, and were outraged when they were confronted with having to fix their mistakes. Movers were unprofessional and took long breaks (one tied up our only bathroom for 30+ min at a time- multiple times, leaving me scrambling to find a place for my toddler to relieve herself), complained about having to fix things loudly to their dispatcher in front of me, and made me question whether or not they'd not simply ruin our belongings out of spite. The company ignored explicit instructions to not repackage our things at their warehouse and not in our presence. Our first shipment of boxes arrived opened in a horrible manner and not how they were packed in front of us. Items were missing, broken, mishandled, and dirty. One box arrived completely empty except for my expensive juicer tossed in with paper thrown on top. Juicer was broken beyond repair. Laundry pods container was open with pods thrown all over another box. Clothes were pulled out of plastic totes and used to stuff empty spaces. Items on the manifest didn't arrive and items that weren't on the manifest somehow made it into our shipment. Pillows looked like they were tossed all over their factory floor. My husband's brand new dress shoes arrived scuffed and looked like they had been worn. Looking at 1-2k in damages and we only had 5 big boxes arrive. Not looking forward to when our crated goods arrive in two weeks.

I would NOT recommend Beltmann for any moving service period! I moved from GA to MN about a week ago. The salesman made a lot of promises of customer service along with phone numbers of people that would be there should there be any questions. It was VERY difficult getting through to anyone in their office, the salesman does not call you back and after a week of my things being picked up, when I got through to the woman that works logistics I was told that my items had NOT been loaded up for delivery and it would be late. When I referenced the "pre-paid" agreement I did get a call back stating they would meet the delivery date. Upon delivery I found boxes that were packed appropriates crushed with holes in them, my bed's headboard was damaged by the movers and now irrepairable, two floor lamps destroyed with nuts and bolts missing from the shipment. The young men that delivered my furniture (differnt company) did bring these items to my attention but again as I go through the claims process I can not even get a call back regarding the move follow up or even information regarding the move that is needed for the claim but NOT provided by Beltmann or North American in the move docs to the customer.... I would STRONGLY consider another company as I am not new to long distance moves and this was unacceptable in all regards. More to come as I go through this process.....

Excellent packing, loading, transporting, and unloading. We moved from MN to OH and had a great experience with Beltmann. The salesman's estimate was spot on, the packing crew was exceptional, the loading/unloading crews were wonderful. Never once during the process did we worry about whether our belongings were taken care of. We would highly recommend this company for anyone's relocation. They made relocating stress-free.

The price was within quote, a little expensive. We had issues with people moving in our house as we were moving out and the Beltman moving crew helped us deal with them and at the other end they went above and beyond I feel with the unloading process. They even had to rent a smaller truck to get up our new steep driveway as the 18 wheeler couldn't get up the road. So basically they loaded and unloaded twice at no extra charge to us.. Very happy with the packers also. A1

The North American movers, Rodrigo and his team were on time, hard working and careful with our things. Everything arrived on time and nothing was damaged or broken. We had an excellent move experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend them for your next move.

The overall experience using Beltmann was so poor. First starting with the upper management. The lack of professionalism was very apparent from the first call we made. When we finally was able to speak to someone their mannerisms seemed incompetent and lacked knowledge. My husband still decided to use this company to move our small household. When the truck and workers got there I was beyond appalled. The were workers that reeked of booze and possibly marijuana. They were all smoking cigarettes and tossing them in our yard and our neighbors yard. They obviously do not employ workers for there skills. There was even one taking a nap in the truck. I would never recommend this company to ANYONE. Even if they can provide you a better rate. I would honestly rather have moved my family ourselves or paid a higher rate elsewhere. One star doesn't even suffice the actual experience with Beltmann.

Randy came in January and did a great job of explaining things and even though we got quotes from other companies, decided on this as a quote to submit to my husbands work for our relocation. In April, I emailed Randy to let him know we had sold some bigger pieces of furniture. I received an email back saying he would get back to me that evening. After another email and still no response, I finally got the number of Lizzie. She was the person to help us with everything and told me Randy took a different position. She always got back to me in a timely manner. She suggested that we should do another inventory to make sure we had the quote right. About a week later, Chris came out. I was not impressed with him from the start. I still to this day don't know his last name and only have his number because he called and left me a voice mail with a few questions about what we had gotten rid of. He came in to do the inventory and said they had found the original inventory from Randy and he wanted us to go room by room and I was supposed to tell him what we had gotten rid of. So me being the nice person I am said, I'll try, but I might not get it all since it had been a few months since we started. He then decided he would just copy and paste the original inventory and then take things off of the copied one as we went. In my head, I'm thinking yes this is your job, that is what you should have done from the start!!!! We proceeded to go in every room, garage, yard and shed. At the time of this inventory, the only thing that ended up not being moved was our fish tank. He left saying that he'd get back to us with a quote. I made sure before he left to say, That quote shouldn't be more right, because we got rid of some bigger items and he said no, it shouldn't be. He emailed the quote to my husband and it was a larger number than our first quote. My husband asked him about it because he had some things on there that we got rid of - like a loft bed - that would definitely affect the weight. He said, Oh I see what I did and sent a modified quote. We agreed and signed off on it. Even though there were only a few of them, our packers were great! They were very efficient and had our house packed up in two days. (Mon & Tues) Nick, our driver, called Tuesday evening and let us know when he was going to arrive - and that's when he arrived. Nick and his co-worker were also great. We were under the impression that we were to get a whole truck, but when it arrived it already had someone else's stuff in it. One quick look around our house and I think he was wondering if he could get it all in. They worked hard for 2 days and at one point we were debating whether we needed to get rid of some things if they wouldn't fit. Somehow, they managed to get it all in that truck. The next Monday, I got a call from Chris. He informs me that the truck weighed more than he had estimated and that my husbands company was going to have to pay $2000 more or the truck full of our belongings would be held in collections and not be delivered. He even went as far as to tell my husband, 'it's your company that's paying for it'....like since it wasn't us, it was ok. He told me that there were a lot of things on the truck that weren't there when he did the inventory - which was not true! Everything on that truck was there when he did the inventory. If he missed it, that is on him, not us. Maybe he should have done his job. I called Lizzie, and honestly ended up in tears because not only am I being called a liar (showing we had more than at inventory), now we are going to be charged more for something completely not our fault. On top of the fact that moving is stressful enough without any extra drama. She listened to everything I had to say, said she'd talk to her supervisor and get back to me. By the end of the day, they had resolved the issue and they were going with the original quote - which as a legal binding contract is how it should be. It isn't supposed to change because some idiot can't judge how much we own and how much it will weigh on a truck.

The move was smooth on the front end. The crew that packed us up and loaded the truck in Palo Alto were top notch. Professional, careful, courteous and pleasant to have handling our household belongings. I give them high marks. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the delivery crew in Geneva, Illinois. The driver called on Tuesday afternoon to tell me he’d be at our house for delivery between 8-9 the following morning. Wednesday morning at 8 AM 2 crewmen showed up to unload our household goods. That was the 1st indication that things were not going to go well, since it took a crew of 6 a full 16 hours over 2 days to pack and load our household goods in California; there was no way a crew of 2 could be reasonably expected to unload and unpack the load. Things deteriorated from there. The driver was nowhere to be seen by 10:30 AM. The 2 crewmen were becoming nervous because they could not stay past 5 PM. They called the driver, who told them he’d be at the job site by noon. I called the driver to tell him there was no way 2 guys could unload and unpack in 4 hours, and suggested he simply get the truck safely to Geneva and reschedule the unload/unpack for the following day with a larger crew. He assured me I was wrong about not being able to finish the job in half a day with 2 guys. I knew I was not wrong. He also said he could not reschedule because he had to be in Ohio the following day. I called Beltman in California and explained the situation, but they were unable to manage the driver. The driver arrived around 1PM, and when the 2 crewmen told him they could not stay past 5 PM, he fired them. He then spent about an hour making calls until he finally gathered another 5 guys to come and unload and unpack. They worked for about 3 ½ hours, and did a fine job of it, before I finally told them to quit since it was getting late. The driver was an idiot, thought he’d made a real go of it when in fact he should have done ad I said, namely, rescheduled for the following day with a full crew. As it was they were unable to complete the job I paid for, which was a full unload and unpack. Beltman was unable to manage the process once it got loaded and trucked out of California. I would not recomend Beltman or N A Van Lines for you move.

The people at Beltmann were very easy to work with, and very helpful. They were straight forward with their price. Their price was all inclusive without hidden add ons. They sent someone to my previous location to give an accurate assessment of what I was moving. I was moving personal items, but also a woodworking shop. That was a special challenge. The people they sent to load my belongings were excellent and very professional, and knew what they were doing. They protected and marked everything. The one issue I had was with the unloading at my new location. I don't believe there was enough manpower to properly unload the woodworking machinery and take it down into the basement. The local workers that came to unload were strong and worked hard, but I don't believe they were adequately trained in the best techniques and safety. On a couple of occasions, as I watched, I was fearful of an accident that might cause personal injury to the workers and damage to my machines. Another positive was that, in spite of not being able to secure another load that would come in my direction, Beltmann delivered my property on time as promised. Their truck was loaded only with my property. The truck driver was friendly and helpful. He helped me put together my special bed. I looked at different moving companies, but I felt Beltmann was the best. I did not feel comfortable with the sales hype of the other companies and the uncertainties of their contracts.

Showed up as promised during rush time (Labor Day week). Loaded truck in the rain with a great attitude and high effort. Every thing was delivered in perfect shape, driver and helpers unfailingly courteous again. A big relief to us as we had plenty to accomplish beyond moving household possessions. We packed ourselves and had everything in boxes in the garage when the moving truck arrived. The movers were very happy. We've found that when the movers are happy, everyone is happy. We had an open line of communication with at Cheryl at Beltman, who was great. We also had an open line of communication with the driver which was incredibly helpful. The total cost was exactly what they estimated and, because they had a cancellation, the truck arrived two days after we did to out out-of-state destination. They handled our stuff like it was their own and we couldn't be more satisfied with the whole process.

I would never recommend Beltmann to anyone. Their coordinator is rude and their billing process is ridiculous. To add it off, multiple items were missing and they have the worst claim process. Please go with another company, if you want a painless move. We moved two months ago and still dealing with issues. Their customer service is the worst I have seen in any industry. They randomly add charges and come up with reasons on why those were needed. But overall not a company that I would trust or recomment for anyone. Please stay away to have peace of mind.

I write this review to warn everybody about Beltmann and North American Moving services. My star for this company is zero. I have extensive experience moving long-distance so I speak from decent knowledge of different moving companies. I used Beltmann and North American to move recently and these people are crooks, liars and irresponsible at best. They picked my stuff and delivered it so that was the only good thing about them. But to begin with they are expensive. I hired them anyways because of the good reviews. But these reviews are written by the company. Hence I am writing my true experience. When the workers picked my stuff they moved quickly. I treated the labor very well, with handsome tip, fancy chocolates, AC while they worked, cold water etc. The workers looked appreciative of all this. But when my stuff was delivered I saw the true nature of these workers. They are lazy and entitled. My boxes were punched, crushed, torn, and several had holes in them. What saved my stuff was my careful packing. But I could not pack my mattress so I paid for them to pack. When I received my mattress there was no plastic wrap around it. It looked brown and dirty. I asked the laborers and they said that is how they received it with no wrap. They also showed me photos of how badly my stuff was dumped in the truck. I filed for a claim which was denied because a dusty mattress is not a damaged mattress. I have repeatedly asked different Beltmann and North American agents why did they charge me for packing my mattress. Nobody has responded to this question. All they say is dusty mattress is not a damaged mattress. I have allergy to dust and yes mattress that is not wrapped in plastic is damaged. My experience also tells me that even if they charge you for packing they are not responsible if your stuff is not packed. Unbelievable! This company is unethical, crooked and full of liars. I am returning to the company I used last summer. They treated my stuff well and yes wrapped my mattress very well after charging me for it.

Had high expectations given Ian's personality and professionalism. Poor execution of the move. Not enough men to pack (2 men for 3BR condo on 16th floor of midtown ATL highrise). Careless packing. I was late for my move-out and was fined. We took up the loading dock at my building for EIGHT HOURS. Took maximum amount of time within the window to deliver items. Too few people unloading. Poor communication throughout the process. Move coordinator was a joke (Tia). Ian finally called me back at the end of the first day and assisted some. Missing item: electric yard tool (weed-eater) for which Tia never returned my emails questioning. Overcharged based on underweight. MANY calls by me to NorthAmerican corporate and even they could get little response from Beltmann. Many broken items due to careless packing. This was the worst move experience of my life. I will NEVER use Beltmann again nor will I use NorthAmerican. IF you value your time, your money, and your possessions I would look elsewhere.

I cant speak for all Beltmann locations but this location does not have their stuff together. Remember Brian is a salesman, his job is to sell. Once he has a job, there is ZERO involvement and he will say whatever he needs to get the job. He told us that if your shipment is late Beltmann will pay you $150 per day. We did a cross country move. Initially we were told guaranteed delivery within 1 week. once we signed the job, it became 10-14 days guaranteed window which last day was Aug 26th. Shipment was picked up on August 13th, it sat in Chicago in a warehouse for 1 week! We received half of shipment within the window. We were shocked and asked about rest of our stuff. we were told that there was not sufficient space in the shipment and it is still in Chicago. Mind you, i have a 6 month old and a 3 year old , we were missing all the kitchen supplies. Amanda is good person to talk to, she told us that since the shipment is delayed, we would be reimbursed $75 flat rate per day or stuff we need. She adamantly told us that most people don't bother with receipts and take the $75 per day reimbursement. We even received a concern call from GM Mike about the delay. BUT the delay ended up being up until Sept 14th because of weather, labor day holidays, them being backed up and whole glory of excuses! We had been eating out and buying things that we needed but we didn't keep receipts as we were planning on taking the $75 per day that AMANDA TOLD US about. We file the claim and the claim department denies it saying that we did receive our shipment on time! I got an email from Amanda apologizing and still waiting on GM to call me. Few insights : Beltmann sales pitch, 'we have been in business for very long' Dont buy it, they lack ethics. may be its everyone in the moving industry. 2nd: they pitch that everyone involved is a beltmann employees. NO THEY ARE NOT! All beltmann does is manages and hires jobs out to contractors who will wear anyone's name t-shirt. They squeeze monies on all ends. there isnt clear communication between all the parties because they are ALL contractors!! Recommendations: Beltmann, Don't lie. Put yourself in my situation. Have a clear communication from sales team (Brian), the coordinator (Amanda) to claims (Donna). may be have everyone review each other's stuff that they are telling customers?? Overall, I would grade them F for clarity, C for Communication which was full of lies F- timely delivery and just 1 star of getting my stuff to me even if it took them 1 month. If you are looking for 1 star experience, Beltmann is for you. I have realized that there is NO difference between these big companies and small ones. They are all HEADACHES but big ones LIE and spend a lot of monies on PR.

The actions of Beltmann and crew cut down on my stress level because they knew what they were doing. I would use Beltmann and North American again. Everyone stayed in touch with me with updates. I was impressed with the person who came to my house to give us an estimate. He was very professional and knowledgeable. The actual move was good except they forgot to put the wardrobe boxes we ordered on the truck. Mover had to put them in regular boxes and said he would put our clothes in the wardrobe boxes before putting in storage. I had a hard time getting someone to call me to confirm that they were put in the wardrobe boxes. Finally got confirmation

The worst moving experience, I ever experienced. We used North American Van lines in 2011, excellent experience. This time around not so lucky. Not professional, and had no care or consideration for our furniture. Pieces missing, scratches, and broken glass. Some things could be expected, but when pieces come off the truck and the driver ask you..."what is this, and what it goes to"?? Then its major. Never ever again. Report card rating F. Our experience with Beltmann and North American was HORRIBLE ! We have been through 10 large house/full truck moves with multiple brand name companies over the years and this was by far the worst. Do Not use Beltmann or North American- period. >For starters, Beltmann breached our contract with them as they missed the outside promised date by 3 days on the first shipment and 9 days on the second shipment. And we went multiple days where NO one at Beltmann or North American Corporate could tell us where our goods were. Imagine the stress of not even knowing where most everything you own is! >The Sales person, Brian Jozwiak, would not return our texts or calls during all our problems, which included the several days after the goods left our house until anyone at Beltmann or North America could even tell us where the goods were. Inexcusable for a Sales Person to not try communicate with or try and help their customer. >The Operations Manager , Mike Harvey, provided false information in terms of what the packers would do versus the movers (packers would shrink wrap and inventory the goods - which they didn't , we would get four packers the second day- which we didn't, the second day packers would be experienced including with kitchen and fine china - which they weren't). The day two packers were also overwhelmed with what they had to do in one day and we had to continually show them things they didn't pack... this resulted in time and quality problems. Mr. Harvey also would not contact us after repeated requests to speak with him. Pathetic. >We were told by Mr. Jozwiak and Mr. Harvey that our goods would fit on one truck. Beltmann/N American sent a semi trailer attached to a cab instead of a traditional moving truck and as a result we ended up with an overflow situation and two shipments. Which extended our moving days and delivery. >We were given false information on the movement of our goods, then for several days no information , then told the trailer was located in a train yard in Chicago!! >Also although we have requested it, Beltmann would not send us an actual official weight document or bill of lading showing a documented weight on our overflow shipment. We were told the paperwork is "with Accounting" and it would take several weeks. We received this on our larger shipment. We don't believe the weight they gave us with the unofficial info on the overflow which means they are overcharging us. >Eventually when no one could tell us where are goods were I contacted the President of North American. His assistant called back same day (a Friday) saying she would check things out and call me back Monday. I never heard back and called her the following Wednesday only for her to tell me she got busy and hadn't gotten to it ... and had she had no answers. In summary - poor quality, false information, lack of returned texts and calls, split shipments, breach of contract due to delayed delivery and multiple days not even knowing where the shipments are all add up to a company (Beltmann or North American) you should NEVER use for your move. Beltmann and North American doesn't care; but we do.

I hired the team to move me from Chicago to Arizona. The moving consultant came to my home and provided an estimate and although I could have gone with some other companies, I chose Beltmann because a friend used them and their quote was the most reasonable. I had quotes for thousands more and quotes for a few hundred less. However, a companies reputation with its customers is the most important (I feel). The movers arrived on time and were extremely courteous. Although I had everything packed, there were some items I didn't pack securely or that I didn't have the right packing equipment for and they packed it and/or packed it more securely. The movers were also polite with my property and brought their own carpets to roll out as not to track in dirt to my house. They also covered their shoes. They had my things moved out in an hour and a half and treated my belongings well. The only thing I did not use Beltmann for was to move my car. Their quote for moving my car was a little high and I used another local company. My things were literally moved to Arizona within 3 days! It was very fast. They also kept in touch with my as my things were traveling so I would know when to expect things to arrive. Once everything came to my new place, the movers in Arizona were just as great as the movers in Chicago. They had everything moved in within an hour or so and even helped me put things back together, like my coffee table, etc. They were so easy to work with and I would not hesitate to call them again if I ever move. Even if I do a local move, which I plan to do when I buy out here, I will be calling them! They are really as good as it gets and you hear so many horror stories with other companies. These guys are the best!

Beltmann handled every aspect of my move from Minnesota to Texas in a superb and extremely professional manner. After losing my dear wife unexpectedly, I decided to return home to my native Texas. Making a move anytime is difficult, but moving after a deep personal loss can cause even more angst. I'm not just saying this: every member of the Beltmann team was like one of my personal angels tasked with getting me from there to here with the least amount of upset possible. My driver, Jonathan is exceptional! He is extremely focused on customer service and satisfaction. His knowledge about every single aspect of moving is quite impressive. Both crews (loading in Kansas and unloading in Ohio) LOVED working with Jonathan. One of the boys said, "this was the best moving job I ever did, because of Jonathan!) At 5pm on loading day, I found out all my 'items' would not fit on the moving van and we had to go into 'overflow' mode. (This was not my drivers fault---he had the van packed like a jigsaw puzzle!) I wish Beltman would have given me even the slightest heads up that this would be a possibility. I was shocked. It seems like during the estimating, measuring and walk-throughs of my home months before the move, that this would have been discussed with me. Ultimately, over 75 items had to be loaded into another truck, put in storage and then delivered to me a week and a half after my move. Two items were badly damaged because the truck was absolutely packed to the brim with other customer's items. The truck arrived at 7:30 on a Saturday evening and left at 10pm----they had to unload in the dark. I am not convinced that I received ALL of my items; time will tell! I would DEFINITELY use North American Van Lines in the future; however, I will not be moving again for a very, very long time!

I had a miserable experience with Beltmann. I moved a studio apartment from Atlanta to NYC. The communication with both Ian, the moving consultant, and Tia in the main office was extremely poor and not in line with any company that actually follows a customer service policy. Please note that the men who actually moved my belongings were fantastic -- my complaint is against the staff who coordinate the move. First of all, Ian estimated the weight of my belongings to be twice what it actually was, and had no qualms in charging me for this mistake. I was not notified until the evening before when movers were going to show up. Scheduled to arrive between 8-10am, they showed up at 11:30am. My belongings were packed up, and rather than being transported within the next few days, like I was informed, they sat in the warehouse for 5 days. I was not notified of when they were picked up from the warehouse, nor was I notified of the location of my belongings anywhere along the route from Georgia to New York until they arrived at the NY warehouse more than a week later. They then sat in the warehouse for 1 week before being moved to my apartment, the last final day according to my contract. The movers again were supposed to show up between 8-10am, but again were over an hour late and did not notify me of any estimated time of arrival -- instead, I had to call to find out when my belongings would be delivered. This is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to customer service. Please take your money and time elsewhere!

As I've worked at this location sporadically over the last 12 years, this company has seemingly gotten worse, even more so ever since the operations manager, Gary, took over. I don't know what he is doing but obviously it's not helping. This company does not care about their employees, even when they're stuck at your house at 9pm, they don't care. The labor is supposedly background checked and drug tested, which is laughable considering most contractors they have use random guys with no experience that are barely awake and still half hungover the next day... don't be the one to try to help this nonsense stop or they might stop working you... like me. Try to do the right thing, take care of customers needs for those in the office that don't care to or are too ignorant to, then when that fails, guess who is at fault? Not them! Seriously, do your homework before you use these guys. You will get the sweet talking until you sign that contract, then you'll be at the mercy of some of the least appreciative, most dishonest and sneaky bunch of people in this industry. BEWARE!

Wish I could give a negative star rating! We've moved many times with executive moving company, never a problem. Beltman claims they are that---they are NOT! This whole experience was a disaster. We have extremely expensive furniture and home was 7,000 sq ft. ALOT of stuff....they underestimated time to pack and move. Brian the driver and "chief" hired the worst packers in CA in history. Things got separated, plastic items wrapped in several papers wile breakables thrown in boxes. They damaged EVERY piece of furniture, lost items, broke items and basically didn't care. As well as not packing everything from the house, Upon arrival, Brian was hardly there, yelled at my husband and basically cursed at him, called him stupid multiple times because of driver's incompetence. We were sold a bill of goods by sales rep. Telling us we would have same crew throughout the whole experience, packing, moving and unloading. Another lie! If you value anything you own, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! We also paid close to 40,000, with just aggravation and damaged and lost things to show for it.

We used Beltmann Relocation Group for a move from Minneapolis to Toronto -- a little more complicated because it was a trans-border move. They had been recommended to me by a friend who is a senior executive and has moved several times. I was not disappointed. The estimate process was very professional, and when we decided to pare down what we would be moving, Chris Lehman, our Beltmann representative was happy to come back and redo the estimate (and it was lower-- appropriately so). We packed most of the things ourselves, but had the Beltmann packers do most of the delicate stuff. The packers were professional, courteous, and careful, and did an excellent job. Not a single item was broken. Our driver, Chris Heh, was based in Pittsburgh. He was superb. He was precisely on time at every point in this process. He was professional, pleasant, and obviously took pride in his work. Even though he had to make two more stops (heading south of MN) before heading to Toronto, he told me on the day of departure the precise time and date when he would meet me in Toronto -- and he was true to his word! He handled the customs process well (I had to meet him there to clear the shipment), and then arrived on time at our condo. The unloading went smoothly. Even our bicycles, which he had disassembled prior to shipment, were reassembled by Chris before he left. Given the fact that the moving industry is known for having some notoriously bad players, it was a pleasure to find a company that was unfailingly reliable and professional, every step of the way. I would recommend Beltmann without hesitation (and if you get Chris Heh as your driver, you'll be in good hands!).

What a disappointment! From the moment I signed with this company, they were awful. My "customer service" person was unresponsive, condescending, and unhelpful. I eventually had to call my sales rep just to get some kind of response - he was apologetic and helpful, but limited in his ability to do anything. I requested several times to speak to the next level of authority/boss and was promised a call, but no one ever called or followed up. I had two stops in my move, they FORGOT to tell the driver to make the first stop (and then blamed it on the driver trying to cover their rear end), thus holding on my stuff (precious family heirloom furniture) for almost a month before finally delivering it DAMAGED. Damage was also done to furniture at the second stop. All around this was an awful experience - do not use Beltmann for a long-distance move. Ugh!

We packed most of our things, but we used them to pack our fragile items. We had all our things stored at their storage facility for almost 3 months before we had them delivered at our new home and every item arrived intact without any damage. I give Beltmann Relocation Group zero stars, but had to give them one star to be able to post this review. The salesman, Jeff Meyer, lied about so many things in a Beltmann move. First, he said the driver and crew were all Beltmanm employees, false, none of the crew including the driver were employees. Second, he said all Beltmann employees were trained in moving by Beltmann and were certified as furniture movers, false, none of the employees ever received training from Beltmann. I was told none of them had received any other training other than what the driver taught them. Third, he said all Beltmann movers were experienced movers, because "we don't want your precious goods mishandled, " false, while the driver had experience, the of two other members of the crew, one had never worked on a move before and the other had two moves under his belt. The loading of the truck took 4 full days working 8 am to 9 pm. Slow doesn't begin to describe this crew was. The driver constantly left to get food, to get drinks to talk on the phone. The driver constantly complained that Beltmann was ripping him off on the move, that there was more than the weight estimated by Jeff Meyer. He complained endlessly about how Beltmann treats their drivers out of pay. I personally had to help the crew load the truck, because of how long it was taking, and the driver did not want to pay for additional help. Driver stood on a stacked washer and dryer in the truck to load additional items denting and breaking the dryer. The crew broke a family heirloom lamp and hid it behind the garbage can. I could go on and on about the dumb stuff this crew did. The delivery was a disaster. They finally hired real movers who were unbelievably great to unload the truck. I never saw such hustle. Truck was done in 6 hours. During the unloading I heard a huge crash in the truck, a bunch of furniture and exercise equipment had fallen, breaking an exercise bike and expensive marble top of an antique table. Quite a bit of furniture was damaged, including a $1300 table that had not been wrapped in the truck, dining room furniture, an antique couch, and a 1 inch hole punched through my step sons headboard. My damage claim came to over $12,000, including missing items, and a hand truck the moving crew kept. I could go on and on about how absolutely horrible this move was, but I will finish up by saying I told my company to never use Beltmann ever again. I completely regret going with them and will NEVER use them again. Not only terrible work, lies, but also a don't care attitude. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

I had a horrible experience with Beltmann in 2013. I used them for a local move that included 6 months in storage. The truck they sent was too small for all my belongings so they sent out a second truck to pick up the overage. Evidently, this stuff got stored somewhere else and it went missing. There are also some damaged items, including an antique table that has damage to the finish because of how it was wrapped and stored. The claims process took nearly two years due to staff turnover and when they finally got someone in place who reviewed my claim, she settled with me for $3000 when the value of things lost was closer to $12,000 . I had gotten ample insurance coverage, but none of it mattered because the paperwork was done so poorly. I absolutely hated this company. Don't use them!

I have used Beltmann twice in the past 2 years for out of state moves. Both times were complete successes. The movers take extreme care when packing your belongings and are meticulous when wrapping furniture. They are very careful not to damage the walls or scratch the floors while moving in and out. All of the teams of packers and movers I have worked with always arrive on time, and have been very nice and well mannered. Prior to choosing Beltmann as my mover of choice, I did have 2 other estimates done. Beltmann always had the lowest bid too. I highly recommend them for your move!

Worst customer service I've experienced. Beltmann called and said they were delivering my carpet on Saturday. They never showed and didn't call. I tried 7 times to call them, but the number rang busy. Finally reached Beltmann on Monday. They said they would try to deliver on Monday, but would have the driver call me to schedule. I never heard from the driver. I went to the place I ordered the carpet and told them the situation. They tried Beltmann and couldn't get a definite answer where the carpet was. Finally located and said they would schedule a time to deliver to the carpet store, but it would probably be another week.

After nterviews with many companies we chose Beltmann to move us from Kansas to Oregon. They have been wonderful to work with. The friendly driver (he was GREAT) arrived early- not late which is a good thing. The handlers went beyond what we expected, careful, and hard workers. Because there was room in the truck they picked up and delivered another client along the way, which was fine as we did not know what the weather would be like for us driving through the Rockies in December. We lucked out only had 50 miles of snow on roads, however the truck came the Northern route and had lots of snow so got to Oregon later than we did. No problem, glad they used common sense and took care driving with our things. We actually saw 7 jack-knifed semi trucks on that 50 miles of snowy road.. However, on the other end, which was not Beltman the movers were not as careful, they could not get mirrors back on dressers, and damaged a couple of places in walls and chipped or scratched some furniture. The driver tried hard to get them to protect our floors, but they got around to it a bit late. All in all it was good move and no major problems like we have heard from others who moved with other companies. Beltman even promptly sent us something left behind and followed up about the move. I recommend them highly, good people to work with.

I was in the process of moving from Florida to Ohio. The only process that was nice was the sales process (go figure). During the sales process I explained and hammered down that I needed to be out my apartment by a specific date since my lease was up. I verified with my move coordinator a week before the schedule move date and we were good to go. 4pm of the move date, NO MOVERS. I called my move coordinator and she informed me the movers weren’t coming. They didn’t call me, I had to call them. I had to pay additional money to my apartment to stay beyond my move out date and had to pay a change flight fee. I filed a claim with the Beltmann Group and was told my claim was denied because my move wasn’t over 3500 pounds. And I had a host of other issues when my items were delivered. PLEASE DONT USE THIS COMPANY

Office staff will not respond after signing the "quote". It was extremely hard to get in contact with anyone for questions and issues with the quote price. I had to call the number off the Betlmann website to have someone from WI to contact the Orlando office for someone to actually finally call us. Now that we have an issue it is almost impossible for anyone to respond to my husband and I. The delivery driver was great and the packers ok, but 2 stars for office professionalism and management. These people are the worst to resolve issues. I never hired them, and its unfortunate that Electrolux contracts STI Home Express who then in turns contacts Beltmann to deliver and install the fridge. Fridge was delivered on 8/22. Guys were quick, in and out. Noticed that night when removing plastic film from doors that the 2 doors were completely uneven. Then stood back and saw that the fridge sat on an angle. Called Electrolux to send out an appliance repair tech to fix it and they informed me that the installers should have adjusted the doors and leveled the fridge, and if they send an appliance repair tech out I would be responsible for the fee unless it was something defective causing the problem. I hung up and spent over 3 hours trying to do Beltmanns job so I could use my fridge. I was able to level the doors, but could not get the fridge level. I called Beltman who I spoke to a Kathy who then informed me I need to speak to Rita the manager of the regional office where I'm located. After calling Rita (4 times on Monday 8/25-kept getting hung up on and was also transferred to other lines with their other customers) she said that Lakiva would contact me on Thursday and give me a time that they would come by on Friday since that is the next day they would be in the area. Lakiva never called me so I again called Beltmann Friday morning to inform Rita and she said that the drivers would be out today and she will have Lakiva call me before noon for a time. Once again Lakiva never called and so I called Rita back where she was no longer answering the phone, so I left 3 messages at that point on her answering machine. I took off work at 2pm as that was the timeframe that they had delivered the fridge last friday. Around 4:30ish, the drivers call me and ask me if I'll be home and that they be here in an hour. I said that would be great. 10 mins later the driver calls me back and said he spoke to his boss Lakiva, which told him that I would have to be rescheduled for next Friday as he was told by Lakiva to head back their facility because it was getting to late. I then called their district manager Trudy and left a message about the situation, whom left a message on my phone stating she would get in contact with me on Tuesday due to the holiday, but never heard from her so again, left her another message which was not return either. I have not been able to use my fridge as it wobbles when I open the doors and bottles/cans falls over in it so its been a huge inconvenience. It is now 3 weeks after delivery 9/9 and they are supposedly going to come out today between 1-5 (which again I had to be inconvenienced and cancel a dentist appointment) to meet their time frames even though it should be the opposite since they didn't do their job from the get go. I will be filing a complaint with STI as well as Electrolux in hopes they are not contracted in the future so no one else will have to go through what I had to.

This was our first time using a so called "well known" moving company. It was the worst experience ever!!! The salesman Mark Eschbacher seemed like he cared about our cross country move being that he would be making a nice commission...the day of the move was a disaster and he was nowhere to be found! Took him forever to even return my pleading voicemail messages for help the day of and even the day after the move. The Beltmann Group representatives lied from day one and through the entire move. The day of our move the so called professional movers show up...unmarked container truck, totally unprofessional and unsupervised while the lead mover leaves with 30 minutes of arrival and is gone for 4 hours!!! We had a full house and storage unit that needed to be packed up and on the moving van that day...besides the fact, they gave a ridiculous late window to arrive at 11am and were 45 mins late! They damaged wood floors in two of our rooms, dropped boxes, took a long lunch break and half the time the movers were on personal calls on their cell phones! My son, husband and myself actually had to start wrapping furniture and load the truck to just get the house packed up (total load time was 12 hours and we had a very small house) and the storage unit didn't get loaded until the next day which forced us the cancel and rebook hotels across the country!!! All the while, the lead mover cops an attitude!!! I don't have enough time to continue this awful experience...but, the General manager of Beltmann Group equally could care less about our issues and all the stress they caused me and our family! Then on top of it..the lies continued on arrival time to our new residence...no surprise they didn't meet the arrival window and it actually took over 2 weeks for delivery...insult to injury...they lied again saying the truck was in Illinois when they couldn't find a driver and they put the container truck will now be coming via rail!!!!! The salesman Mark Eschbacher even had the nerve to tell me during our first meeting it was going to be driven by a husband and wife team crosscountry! I don't know how these people sleep at night...liars!!!! Each and every one of them!!! It's amazing not more of our goods were damaged more then they were!!! Worst experience ever!!!

This is by far the most dishonest, incompetent moving company we’ve ever used and we’ve used reputable movers to move out of state twice. The head of the crew, Eric, bragged incessantly about how great and experienced he was and he ended up leaving all his and our tools behind in our move fri Mn to Chicago. The operations director promised to overnight the tools so that we could put kegs on our furniture and assemble things. This happened NOT overnight but 3 days later.. Promised do not count at Beltmann. Their packing team did not pack all our things and almost all left BEFORE the job was completed. They brought in subs who left things behind and seemed enebriated. They broke a relatively new tv and it’s useless and can’t be repaired. The lying Belmann moth American insurance ( we purchased the top of the line insurance) claimed that we packed our own tv.so they denied our claim. We NEVER packed anything!!!! Too bad. They also scarred and ripped an expensive Jonathan adler sofa. Of course they denied this claim too. You’ve been warned if you use this company. We had to spend 2 nights in a hotel in Chicago due to them leaving tools in MN so furniture could not be assembled. Worst movers ever. They deserve no stars. T

They came and gave a quote which was reasonable and on par with other movers so I decided to go with them because they moved us from MD to Chicago 7 years ago and did a good job. They came and prepped us for half a day and then moved everything out. They were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing. Nothing was damaged whatsoever. On the move-in, different movers brought our stuff and they were also professional and very clear in regards to communications. They came super early to accommodate our schedule and were done early like they said they would be. They did not disapoint. I would definitely use them again

Meh. Randy Scharpen was our sales guy, personable but didn't communicate any of the specific details of the move to the day-of movers. So we had to scramble to load the second location (a craft studio). The packers overpacked many items, but underpacked a large framed chinese embroidery, which broke. A couple of floor lamps had no packing, they broke too. But the day-of guys were good. Our coordinator went on maternity leave, unexpectedly for us, so that was another curve ball when it came time to talk to Beltmann. So overall, mixed. Maybe mediocre service is par for the course - we haven't moved in many years, so not much experience. The problems could have been solved with better communication and more sensible packing.

Took my stuff almost a month and when I called to ask about it, they would reroute your call or ignore your email. I would also strongly urge anyone to avoid using Beltman relocation group. NorthAmerican VanLines corporate may be ok, but avoid their agent, Beltman, here in Atlanta. I was screwed by them on my pickup day when they showed up hours late and without promised extra labor. They promised to refund the charges for extra labor that did not show up but then backed out on that promise weeks after the move. They also delivered my load a week after the end of the agreed upon window forcing me to adjust my schedule. Oh, and I was promised the pickup would not need a shuttle truck and then had to pay an extra $500 for that last minute on the day before loading, surprise! Avoid the hassle and choose another moving agent.

Great Sales but what happened was awful. We had so much damage from improper packing. Insurance company was a hassle to deal with. First you have to unpack everything in front of the delivery people which was impossible as they were late and took a very long time to bring things up and wanted to get going. Then we took pictures of everything but the insurance auditor came and wanted to see everything for himself as well as the boxes that they were packed in. The claim process was very cumbersome and took hours to complete. Took over a month for them to schedule to come out. We have a 900 sq ft apt which did not allow us to keep everything and get settled while working everyday. They broke one of our champagne goblets from our wedding due to poor packing. Our art work was just put in boxes with not enough cushion and was not marked as breakable. If you do use them, be sure to watch them pack as the packers were the core issue of all the breakage. Be sure to have a place to store all the boxes and items until an adjuster can come out. I have moved before with movers and this was the worst experience so far in my life.

I had a move from KCMO to Phoenix last month. It was beyond awful. I have a custom yellow sofa that has greasy hand prints all over it - even at the base where the seat cushions sit. I have been taking photos for a month now, and man every social media site is going to get my review. 3K is what was paid, and it was totally worthless. They packed things in antigue hat boxes, and threw the hat boxes in the trucks. I paid them to go through all my stuff because I could not get back to KC, and they went through not a single thing. I am so mad. Do not use this company, and do not trust a single thing Gordon Stewart says. I have 3 upholstered pieces total. Isn't it packing 101 to wrap upholstered pieces in moving blankets, especially when they were on at least 3 (that I know of, maybe more) trucks? I will be back when I am completely organized with photos. I wish I could pick MINUS stars. And to top it off, 2 guys who were about 65 years old unloaded my stuff in AZ. It was a straight shot of about 75 yards to my front door. One guy was limping. It took them 4 hours to finish - I left and watched the basketball finals I was so upset by what I was seeing. This was a one bedroom apartment, so I cannot even imagine what they would do to someones' whole home.

This wasn't a corporate-paid move, so we were looking for a quality mover at a fair price because we were paying for it ourselves. We had many bids before we chose Beltmann as our mover, and it was a good choice. Gordon bid the job and he was very professional. He gave us all the information up front, answered our questions and was very accessible. When moving day came, our crew was outstanding. Jimmy and his crew were very careful with our items and worked two very long days to load and unload our house. They were pleasant, polite and left both our previous home and our new home clean and tidy. Moving is stressful, but I was very pleased with the entire process with Beltmann. If I had to move again, I wouldn't hestitate to use this company again.

Broke a door at my new place and scratched up walls and doorways loading up the new house. I do not recommend.

Fair job, it took 3 days to move in, because they had to unload the main truck, reload to a smaller truck and then bring to and into the house. Do not use Beltmann for International relocation!!! Gary Deforest is a liar and will scam you on your shipment. His costs are based on the weight of the shipment but nothing was weighed since the household goods were nailed into place in the container. By some strange coincidence, the shipment weighed almost exactly what he quoted. I had no way to dispute this but think we were dramatically overcharged. Gary seems to be bothered when asked questions and his answers are not honest. Lie 1: On 3 different occasions, I asked Gary for ANY possible additional costs. He confirmed repeatedly that his costs were ALL inclusive. Now I'm stuck with a bill for several hundred more dollars Lie 2: He would be the sole point of contact and all moving related contact would be through him. 2 separate vendors contacted me, with no introduction from Beltmann/Gary Deforest and I had to deal with them. Lie 3: Our ship sailed 9/11/14. NOPE! Our ship sailed 9/5/14 Lie 4: Our shipment would arrive 9/21/14. NOPE! Our shipment arrived 9/14/14 Lie 5: All paperwork and details were completed when the shipment was loaded. NOPE! I was hit with tons of paperwork and needed additional documentation that I had asked Gary specifically about over a month earlier. I even sent his the paperwork and asked him if it needed to be completed and I got no response from him. Our customs paperwork was not even sent to us until after the ship had sailed!! Lie 6: Gary stated that nothing could be shipped in the car. His movers/packers stated otherwise and loaded items in the car Lie 7: Gary stated that he would fix the incorrect packing list that his movers had created, and he didn't do that either. As soon as he was paid, Gary disappeared, never to be heard from again. We chose Beltmann not because it was the cheapest, in fact it was one of the most expensive, but because it had a good reputation. What a disappointment. Crappy service, inaccurate information, additional costs, incorrect shipping information. I'd say that overall Beltmann and Gary Deforest were slack, lazy, incompetent, and downright sleazy. If you are looking for a service oriented company- don't use these guys. If you are looking for someone to handle your international move accurately- don't use these guys. If you are looking for a fair price with a company who does what they commit to- don't use these guys. If you want a timetable you can rely on- don't use these guys. If you are looking for a low-stress move- don't use these guys. What a scam!!!

We moved Chicago > Denver in July 2017. Pros: The crews on both ends of the move were great. The office staff in Chicago was friendly and helpful with all of the prep. Everything arrived in good shape and nothing was lost. The total cost came in under some of the other larger national moving companies, which is a big reason I chose them. Cons: Our shipment was delayed for nearly a week due to complications with the driver. I think a replacement driver should have taken over. They did cover hotel fees for a few days to help accommodate us and our pets during the heatwave since we had no bed or window a/c units - all on the truck.

When the agent came out to estimate , he reassured us 6+ times that our items would arrive on August 9th (the day our housing is available on base). We spoke about that being the latest we could formally move in because my husband had to return to duty immediately - you know, because he doesn’t want to go to jail. We were told a “big team” would be there to assure the safety of our items. He reassured us of a pickup date (the 2nd) and we called back to confirm within the time constraints he gave us. We were reassured that our things would arrive on time and not to stress about that part of the move and to enjoy a short vacation. Then arrived August 4th (pick up day). The driver repeated a delivery day of the 9th multiple times. I then was surprised to learn that she doesn’t actually work for you at all and isn’t even particularly licensed to drive it. She owns that truck, independently operates it, does side jobs while having property in her truck, and *literally* scotch taped a sign with your logo on the door (which I only noticed as they were pulling away). She found out only 30 minutes prior to her arriving that she was even assigned our shipment and had no idea what she was picking up or delivering until she saw our paperwork. That should’ve been my sign, but being Army - we have to arrive when his leave is up and were left no other choice. The “big team” ended up being a gentleman and a teenage boy. The entire team arrived an hour and a half after they claimed they would. Both dropped numerous boxes off of the loading ramp (marked fragile with the correct stickers) and loaded things that were marked with “Do Not Load” signs, which my husband and I had to crawl back in through the items to retrieve. This included our clothing for the journey, medicine for my daughter’s heart condition, and a box of aerosol items that was meant for our personal car (as obviously, they cannot go in the truck). As they disembarked, they said “we’ll see you on the 9th”. Perfect. The past two days, we have been trying to confirm a time the truck was arriving. When we finally got someone on the phone today, we were told that they never assure a date for moving and our items WERE STILL IN KANSAS CITY. They were loaded A WEEK AGO. They then informed us that they would probably arrive on or around the 15th. Therefore, unless we spend a ridiculous amount of money to stay in a hotel until then, my family (including a 3 year old child) has no bed to sleep in, no toys to play with, no furniture, no personal items to cook actual non-road food. Had we known this, we would NEVER have paid almost $4000 to have our items be held for 2 weeks in a hot van “somewhere in Kansas City (as per CS rep)”. My husband has none of his uniforms/shoes/items for work - which we would’ve obviously packed in our travel items if we had known there was a week window. He cannot extend his leave any further (we now have surpassed the leave he would get to spent Christmas with our families - devastating), so because of multiple lies and misleading/non-commucating agents, we will spend an additional $1500 total on this move (we are staying in the cheapest hotel in the area at $89/night). To have a window of a week for a move without informing the customer is unacceptable and has NEVER happened in the 6+ times we’ve moved. There have been instances with weather where the drop off date fluctuated by 24 hours - that’s doable. But now we are forced to spend even more money that the Army will not reimburse us for, because it’s not their fault. The CSR claimed it was a “miscommunication” between the agent and contractor and there was nothing she could do - we were flat out told we would be constantly updated (we have never gotten a call from you since pick up a week ago and it took 36 hours to get ahold of someone on the phone with any idea where our items were). She acted like it was absurd to be able to give a customer even a day when their entire home is being delivered.

Terrible experience with Beltmann. Our goods were over a week late with NO apology, reason for delay, or compensation for their dreadful service. The Beltmann representatives went silent and did not respond to my many phone calls to find out where our goods were. Many empty promises made during the initial contract phase and it went south quickly. Buyer beware...you have been warned.

This has been, by far, the worst moving company I have ever worked with. I would give them zero stars but I'm afraid that won't get factored into their rating so I am giving them a 1. What they say and what they do are entirely two different things and they love to give you the run around. They underestimated the time it would take to pack us, load and unload. They damaged items and the driver denied it so now, we have to go through arbitration. No one in the office will help - they just send you to the 1-800 claims number. Terrible customer service. Steer clear and go with another company!

The only reason I will offer one is because the packers and movers (laborers) were very kind and caring but the same cannot be said for the sales and logistics team. Nearly 14 days after pack-up and move out, my goods have still not arrived as promised and no one seems to have any information whatsoever about their whereabouts and status. I and my family have been given a plethora of excuses and vague promises of return calls to no avail and in no surprise, the initial salesman has vaporized into thin air. It's disheartening to know your company took advantage of an older woman and showed no respect or concern for her situation and the resultant stress this entire situation has caused.

Our household goods arrived in good condition, with only a couple of minor scratches. The pick up and delivery workers worked hard and did a good job. However, we received our delivery 2 weeks later than the latest time predicted, mostly due to the high demand for moving services, but the company accepted our business without an adequate plan for prompt delivery. Our representative did not stay in touch well - I had to initiate contact more than once during the delay. They did pay a per diem delay claim, but our representative insisted such a claim was not available, and I only asked for it because someone else told me it was possible.

Terrible customer service. My in-home estimate was scheduled for 8am and the estimator put it on his schedule for 10am. We were both sent an email with the 8am confirmation so this was an error on his part. When I called to try to reschedule my calls were never returned. Kimberly in the office needs to learn some customer service skills. It isn't professional to not acknowledge receiving an email. If my business isn't important enough to respond to repeated calls/emails then I doubt yours will be either.

I thought our move might be a disaster story since that's what I've always heard about moving your entire home. Not with Beltman! Call them up the following day since they close at 5 and don’t have a dispatch (which was closed that day anyways). Get scheduled for Saturday between 10-2, get called Friday to move window from 1-5. And low and behold they fail to show again!!!! They told her she would receive her shipment on a certain date, so she hurried to TX. She had to wait three weeks before her household goods arrived. Just about everything was destroyed. Beltmann was very good, professional, thorough from the time the estimate was given to providing repairs of certain items (damaged glass on a painting, gouges on dining table and bed headboard) at no charge even though they were not required to do so per insurance. The packers were pleasant and did quality work, movers were on time both loading and unloading. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that we had minor damage to a variety of items, probably around the $500 insurance deductible that we cannot claim. A little more care of loading the truck for storage and unloading could have prevented some of the damage. Having said that, their free repair (noted above) was an unexpected positive outcome.

I have never dealt with a more professional and service-oriented mover. I spent a good portion of my early career in commercial construction and real estate and worked with many moving/relocation firms and none was as on top of things as the Beltmann Group. I appreciated the use of used boxes at no additional cost and the availability of Ian Robbins for our questions. Our move was an out-of-state move. Between Ian and Tia in the office, we were kept abreast of all challenges and issues as they arose. Ian's pro-active approach to educating my wife and me about what would and could transpire, was very effective in mitigating any issues before they happened. Ian also acted as the liaison with the local crew in our new location. between the driver and the two crews, we found that there was great customer service and professionalism on both sides. the driver, Lloyd, was also a very courteous and professional gentleman who was helpful to us and respectful to the crew working on the move. We had a challenge that arose just before the delivery was set to arrive at our new location, because the deal on our new house fell through. that's when Ian and Tia stepped in to make additional phone calls and coordinate with the driver and the crew to ensure that our move could be redirected into a storage facility without any issues. The pick-up and delivery were two-stops on both sides, as the movers had to pick up my office contents and home contents and deliver them to the two separate locations on the destination side as well. Everything arrived on time and was properly sorted to ensure that everything was delivered where it was needed. I cannot possibly recommend this firm more highly. they were excellent. Ian Robbins is the James Brown of the moving business! He's the "hardest working man" in the business! Thanks for the great work!

We were very happy with the moving men, they were polite and careful of our belongings. They were on time and efficient. We used north American from Colorado to a storage room for 2 months then used Beltran North American to our new home from the storage room. Our grandfather clock was damaged but North American won't honor the insurance because our belongings were in a storage room. The clock was still in their moving blankets and obviously hadn't been touched. We are also missing 2 items which of course their insurance won't cover. I would have given them 5 stars if it hadn't been the fact they don't cover their moves if a storage are is used, we should have been told that at the onset not afterwards.

My family and I moved from Kansas City to Illinois during the cold of winter. There was 6 inches of fresh snow on the ground and we had a very long ICY driveway. The driver for Beltmann was highly skilled and was able to get the semi-truck backed right up to the house, they were very careful not to track any snow or debris in the new house. The moving crew was very very gentle with our belongings. I recommend Beltmann relocation group without hesitation. They are professional, courteous, and very easy to work with. Crew that did all the loading was extremely energetic and diligent. We did our own packing. They could have used one extra person on the crew so that the loading day could have progressed more quickly, but they hung in there. Record keeping was diligent and thorough. Despite the great care they took with our interstate move there were a couple of small instances of damage. We detailed the problems with our driver and the claim was processed smoothly. We are now awaiting payment. The price we were quoted was great, and the little extra time it took from the small crew does not change the fact that we received great value.

My wife and I have moved several times over the last 25 years and have become quite knowledgeable in knowing where to anticipate problems. As we prepared for our last move, which was in August 2015, we interviewed several movers and decided to go with the Beltman Relocation Group, which turned out to be a terrific decision. Without a doubt, this move was the best we have ever experienced! The driver and his crew exceeded our expectations on multiple dimensions of the move. They carefully prepared the houses at both ends of the move so that there would be no damage; they packed EVERYTHING with care and labeled the boxes so that they could be clearly understood and directed to the appropriate space; they were courteous and efficient; and most of all, the crew went out of their way to make sure that everything about the move went well keeping us informed of what they were doing and they offered to take care of many small tasks that we would never expect the movers to complete. Had a GREAT experience with the Beltmann San Leandro team for an international move to Canada. Thomas Silvius was prompt and professional during his estimate visit and provided a detailed quote. He took time to explain various options and concerns. Compared to 3 other companies I got quotes from Thomas was light years ahead and gave me the confidence with the company, despite surprisingly mixed reviews in Google and Yelp. OTOH, all the international move companies seems to have mixed reviews. It was Thomas's professionalism that won me over. On move day, Reynaldo was the team lead. I have the say his crew was the best I've ever had - and I have moved 8 times in the last 20 years! The first thing when they arrive was to lay down protective layers to protect the carpet and hardwood floors. Under Reynaldo's direction, the team took GREAT care packing and wrapping my stuff. He took care packing and labeling all the loose screws, brackets, etc that are necessary to reassemble the furniture and TV pieces. Every item was individually tagged and inventoried. Now, the DRAMA. A day after the move was done, I realized I accidentally left my passport in the printer-copier after I made a photo copy for Renaldo. It was a Saturday and I called the office in panic. Surprisingly, Earseleanne Patterson, my move coordinator picked up the phone. She found out that my stuff are still in the warehouse and are being moved onto a truck on Monday. She arranged for us to go on Monday to find the passport before the stuff got moved. When we arrived on Monday, Earseleanne and the warehouse crew very graciously helped us locate the printer. Thanks to Reynaldo's detailed inventory, we were able to find the printer quickly. To our relief, we found my passport there. So - DISASTER AVERTED thanks to Earseleanne and her warehouse crew. Now, our stuff is on their way to Toronto and we look forward to receiving them on the other end. At least we have some peace of mind that our stuff are in good hands. We selected North American Moving Services via the Beltman Group for our relocation from the Bay Area to the Nashville Tennessee area in December of 2018. Thomas was great in presenting what services they provide and what to expect, even showed us how the trucks are loaded etc. The pricing was so much better than their competitors. They arrived on time and we received our belongings in TN within the alloted time they were on the early end of the range. The driver Michael was amazing. He kept us informed along the way and did a great jot of managing both ends pick up and delivery. We packed ourselves except for the big pieces. Everything was protected and all arrived unharmed. We were very pleased, this experience was better than we expected. Would recommend them and use again if we move again.

Our sales person, Thomas, was very professional and the coordinating office staff, Earseleanne, was super efficient! Ray and his crew were amazingly good at packing up our 40 years of “stuff” and so far we’ve unwrapped everything in one piece! There were 5 guys in the packing crew and it took 1 day to do it all. Our driver, Harold was awesome as was his co-worker, Raymond. They were so professional and careful with all furniture and boxes and super polite! On the day they arrived to load the truck, Harold was completely surprised about all the stairs to our front door and the 20 more inside to the lower levers. I found out it was in a report email that gets sent to all the drivers. My only suggestion about the entire move would be that the driver is communicated with by the office in more than just verbiage in the middle of a description about the move. It should be called out loud and clear in a separate email and or phone call because although Harold had hired a third man for the job, if he’d realized the amount of stairs we had, he’d have arranged for a 4th man. As it was it took them an extra day to load everything. It wasn’t a problem for us but these men had to do a lot more back-breaking work than they should’ve. If communication had been extra clear it would’ve helped these men a lot! I felt very bad for them, even though they did it all so well and were very pleasant! I would not trust them to move their own bowels let alone my items again. One month after our move we are still missing $15,000 in items plus my wife's portfolio with her life's work ($180,000 roughly in replacement value). We have another $7,000 in damaged items that they are dragging their feet on filing the claim. The driver for NA Van Lines was horrible. He told my wife to shut her mouth when he first came into our new home and then he threw a temper tantrum when I asked him why his numbers didn't match on the inventory. He fraudulently filled out the inventory, didn't account for most of the items and lied that he only needed to use one U-Haul truck to shuttle our belongings to the dock. My wife and I have had to do all of the detective work because their manager won't lift a finger to do his job. I tracked down the U-Haul receipts and the trucks were both used but one was delivered 30 min later than the other with 22 additional miles on it. They are a horrible company with horrible people to deal with. We will most likely have to pursue litigation. I have filed a complaint with the BBB as well. DO NOT USE THEM. Several weeks later and our claim is over $200k in lost items. GM Steve Rinaldo has made it out like we are lying about it and won't do anything to fix the problem. Worst company. Horrible people to deal with. Filed a complaint with the BBB and he lied in the response and said they didn't pack any of our items. My company has had to escalate this to the president of the other companies because Beltmann is so awful and unwilling to help.

I moved to TX from KS with the help of Beltmann Relocation Group in the middle of December. A good moving experience with them! I contacted North American moving in the beginning and then got connected with Beltmann Relocation Group. I was worry about my moving after read some bad reviews about Beltmann Relocation and Roy Peterson. However, the whole process turned out to be good and smooth.I got $50 of free packing boxes from them, too. Started from the in-home estimation. Roy came over on-time in a stormy day. He is old and experienced. He gave me a quote with guaranteed price a few days after the estimation. I updated with him a couple times before my real move. Although sometimes it takes a while to get response from him, he responded. His assistant, Sharyl, is a friendly and helpful lady, too. On the moving day, the truck driver showed up in the end of the time window they promised. They guys were friendly and professional. Then I got a call three days later telling me that they were ready to deliver my stuff the next day. Then the driver called me on the day of delivery again. Two men came to deliver my household stuff. They were friendly, too. I was thankful that they delivered my stuff so quickly after I arrived TX. A few weeks after the move, I needed the receipt of my move for my reimbursement request. Sharyl was not in the office that day, but another lady gave me the receipt via e-mail the same day. The reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that I think they should improve their customer information update. I told Roy to update my phone number so that the driver can get in touch with me on the pick up day. However, it seems that the driver still got my old phone number. Therefore, I spent some time worrying and calling Roy's assistance making sure the driver will arrive on that day. Another reason is the scheduled delivery time. Although I was thankful for receiving my stuff earlier than I expected, it was supposed to be delivered two days later. I set that time because I am not sure if I can arrive TX before my stuff. Those are the two complains I have toward this move. Otherwise, everything worked great. I would recommend them to my friend.

It was challenging to select a mover because there were so many negative reviews and because I needed storage for a month due to a misalignment of closing dates. The crew that picked up my belongings were on time (early, actually), courteous, and professional. I was pleased with the experience and would arrive 4 or 5 stars (4 only if their wrapping contributed to damage). Different individuals delivered my belongings. These individuals were also polite and worked hard. They were not used to working together (which may have accounted for the length of time delivery took) and, especially since they had not packed my furniture, did not know how to assemble some pieces. I believe it was only because my partner was present that my furniture is back together. I would award delivery two stars and storage one star. The initial cost for picking up my belongings was as originally estimated although the driver anticipated the weight was less than estimated (because we had already moved boxes because we didn't need to store them). After evaluating the information required and the potential remuneration for damages, I decided not to file a claim for my property that was damaged during moving and storage. Strips of wood from the base of one solid wood piece of furniture were missing or hanging from the piece. The bottoms of other pieces of furniture appeared to suffer wear and tear that might be experienced during a move though this was not my experience during my last two moves, one of which involved storage.Two pieces of furniture were so severely damaged that it is hard to imagine how this could have occurred except that they were dropped from a height of more than eight feet. I suspect the damage may have occurred during the in or out from storage. The two pieces that were damaged beyond repair included a small particle board computer desk and a wooden piece that included lights and bridged two storage towers. The damage exceeded what would have been expected, even for a particle board piece. Overall, my experience was acceptable but definitely not excellent. I would not recommend using Beltman for storage.

My partner and I decided to relocate from Atlanta to downtown St Petersburg. And although we were very excited about our new city, we absolutely dreaded having to undergo the moving process itself. I am borderline OCD and the thought of having our furniture, clothes and other possessions packed and transported by any company was distressing. Fortunately, we met with and interviewed Ian Robbins of Beltmann Relocation Group. Ian is their Certified Moving Consultant and was so easy to work with. He was very knowledgeable about the moving process, patient with my many questions and had excellent follow up. Although we had to change our move date four times due to delays in the renovation work on our condo in St Pete, Ian worked with us to make these changes happen and assured us that everything would be OK. Beltmann handled the packing, loading and unloading for us. The packers did an excellent job of protecting and wrapping all of our furniture. The loading and unloading process went very smoothly as they also protected the floors and walls of our new condo as they moved our furniture into our new home. Much to my pleasant surprise, I can not find a single scratch on any of the furniture and all of our household goods has arrived damage free. I highly recommend you call Beltmann Relocation Group if you need to move and want the process to be hassle free. Refusal to reimburse for boxes that were not used but had additional charges for. Upholstered furniture was stained. Glass shattered. Make sure you take pictures of the entire moving process, and do not attempt to clean or fix any item yourself or you will not be able to file a claim!!

My experience was for from good. Some of my material was damaged during the process and I had difficulty recovering damages after purchasing the insurance. The group on the Atlanta side was good but problems came when I arrived in Missouri and that group had no clue of proper assembly of my bed, my massage chair, my reclining couch or my television table. It was 3 weeks before I had an appropriate bed to sleep on due to poor attempts at assembly. I also found numerous scratches to the surface of my bed and night stand but could not make a claim because the deductible exceeded the cost for that claim. It was a horrible experience and this was not my first move so I know it can be a much smoother process.

We had high expectations for our move due to Beltman’s high rating, but unfortunately they did not live up to it. Day 1 & 2 were packing days (Yasmeen, Diego, & Nellie). Unfortunately we felt we had to monitor items so they would pack them. For many of the more challenging packing jobs, they told us “the movers will pack that”??? They only worked about 3-4 hrs each day. Of course when the movers came and found so many items not packed, they were puzzled and frustrated having to spend so much of their time packing instead of loading. Separately, the 3rd party packers were commissioned to remove and crate our 75” TV. They asked If the wall bracket needed to come down as well? When I responded of course it does, they said that would be an additional $175 and they needed a check on the spot. Apparently this was missed in the quote. Our Agent (Chris) made we several errors in our quote in addition to the TV wall mount. Even though he was told we had boxes in the attic (mostly holiday decorations), they were not included in the quote. The biggest issue was that he was aware the moving truck could not come down our street in the winter. That said, it was a surprise to the movers on moving day and caused a 4 hr delay while they acquired a shuttle truck. Bottom line, what was estimated to be a 1 1/2 day move ended up being a 3 day move finishing at 7pm on a Friday evening, which totally blew up our travel schedule as we were moving out of state. All this said, the movers themselves were 5 Stars! Roscoe, Dan, Jake, and Stretch took the brunt of the delay, extra packing, and having to use a surprise shuttle truck and consistently told us they would handle everything. They were consummate professionals. Anyone would be lucky to have them as movers and they definitely brought back my faith in Beltman. I am only halfway through my move with Beltman since our belongings are in storage until we move into our new house. I am obviously hoping for a better experience on the back end of our move.

Also included getting custom paperwork done. From the person who came for estimates, move coordinator, pick up crew and move in crew - I would give 5 star rating to all. They delivered free boxes and packing material before move (used in other moves and excellent condition), I changed my move date without any additional cost. Terrible moving experience due to complete lack of professionalism on packing/loading days and damage to furniture during transit. Larry and Tia made many promises, then failed to follow through on almost all of them. First, we were told that packing on a Saturday would be no problem with two experienced packers available - but only one person showed up to pack the whole house and it took about 12 hours. Second, on loading day the truck did not have enough space for our furniture. The driver said that Beltmann was informed of this situation several days before but did not do anything to fix the problem. Larry and Tia both went missing at the time of need, not taking calls and leaving us to deal with the mess. In the end, our furniture was taken as 3 separate shipments, loading was not completed on the agreed date, and our house sale nearly fell through as a result. Finally, there was damage to a few items (perhaps unsurprising given the loading mess) - we are still fighting for the damage to be covered months later, and NAVL appears unwilling to honor the Maximum Value Protection insurance we paid a considerable amount for. Based on our experience, this company simply cannot be trusted and we would recommend looking elsewhere.

The movers did a really great job considering it was 15 degrees in February the day we moved. The lead mover was very professional and courteous and knew what he was doing. There were supposed to be 3 guys, but just 2 showed up which made the move longer (4 hours turned into 6 hours). The second mover seemed to be fairly new, so the lead mover was taking some time explaining and instructing him. We didn't mind since we were busy moving some of the left over boxes and small stuff we had and then we spent time getting things set up while they moved furniture into the new house. The movers made sure to wrap everything with blankets to protect it, lay mats on the floor, and cover corners. Overall we had a great experience and it was very convenient and nice to have someone else do the heavy lifting for you! I will recommend them in the future and use them again.

My experience with Beltmann was horrible from packing day until my furniture was finally delivered. On the day the packers arrived, we did a walk through of the house.so the packers would know what to pack and what areas from which to stay away. Those areas included a dresser in the master bedroom that was packed with tee shirts and shorts along with some underwear and socks. The man who gave us the move estimate said it was fine to leave those drawers as is, as they would move just fine. Upon coming up to the master bedroom at a point later in the morning, I found that one of the packers was packing things from that dresser that he was instructed NOT TO PACK OR TOUCH. At that point, I discovered that about $1200.00 was missing from the dresser (cash to move east with) and that some prescription medication was also missing. I immediately notified the police, and the police came to the house and questioned the packers, but my money and medication was long gone somewhere. We also experienced much breakage of old dishes and lamps. The packers placed a tiffany lamp in a box with the shade on its side, then placed five UNWRAPPED picture and frames on top of the lamp. It was smashed. Boxes of dishes that wee marked FRAGILE looked like they were trampled by elephants. I am still waiting to hear from a "third party" (whoever they are) to uncrate a mirror that was crated in Kansas. I would suspect it should be Betmanann's responsibility to contact them to have the mirror uncrated since they were the ones who made the arrangements to have it crated to begin with. ( a service for which I paid $135.00). The window for the delivery of my furniture was August 12-15, but I was initially told mu furniture would not deliver until SUNDAY, August 16. When I raised a fuss and told them I wanted money back, they somehow "discovered" a way to have mu furniture delivered at noon on the last day of the window. The gentlemen that unloaded my furniture in Carlisle, PA were much better than the personnel in Overland Park, but upon their departure, I discovered that an electric lift chair had been dismantled in KC and was not connected in Carlisle....another expense I will have to occur. I had one other moving experience, and it was from PA to Kansas in 1999 and it was a seamless event. This move was a nightmare.

I recently moved from California to Atlanta using Beltmann group and had the worst experience. 1. The coordinator was blatantly rude 2. Many items went missing and their claim process is a joke. 3. They added random charges that were not part of the quote and stated that it was necessary. 4. They were unable to explain certain charges and were not interested to listen or explain those. 5. Do NOT trust this company with your valuables!! The driver complained about how much was in our home for him to move, he mooched drinks and food from our fridge. Items left our home intact and came back in pieces. The company knew we were moving everything into storage and now is denying our claims on the insurance we purchased claiming we did the damage in storage. Now we when we are trying to get everything resolved we cannot get a hold of anyone, everyone's voice mail is full and they refuse to take our calls. Legs broken off of furniture, dented dryer, rub spots, gouges, and items broken down that left my home in one piece and no one cares anymore. They treated our items like trash and now that is all I have. I will have to replace an entire hardwood bedroom suite because of their careless handling and their refusal to pay out on insurance that should have covered it all. Find someone else to move your home if you care at all about your items!!

Planning our move started out fine. When we got to the details of our closing dates and having the truck at the new house and city, things went south. Staff members missed the dates I sent them through email correspondence, so when I called to confirm the dates and that the truck would be at our new house on that closing date, I was told that wouldn't happen and it might take 2 weeks before our truck would arrive. I realize closing dates can change, but none of the actual process was communicated to me from the beginning. And they missed communicating our closing date with the person that schedules the trucks. Luckily we had a place to stay for free for 2 weeks until the truck arrived. The movers were great - the office personnel wasn't so great at catching all the details.

The second attempted delivery was supposed to be by noon, the delivery did not come until 4:40 p.m. My 81 year old mother had to wait at my house an entire day (which she was not expecting to do and therefore did not bring necessary items with her) More miscommunications with the delivery caused quite an inconvenience on my mother. When the delivery finally came, I told my mother, to just have them put the mattress and box spring in the garage so she could get home -- I did not want her to stay at the house any longer than she had to -- it had already been such a long day for her. The mattress and box springs were for an upstairs bedroom, so I moved them upstairs myself. That being said, Beltmann's Manager called me very apologetic and to made made amends. He realized the inconvenience this last snafu put not only me, but also on my mother. He sent monetary compensation to defer the cost of the delivery. It was a very nice gesture, and very professional. All in all I do have the mattress and box springs, and my mom is fine. It was nice to have a company take care of their customers. I WANTED TO POST THIS - AS AN EDIT TO MY REVIEW -- After seeing my review below, Beltmann's Manager called concerned and very apologetic -- so I stand corrected -- as they say one bad apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch, and he is handling the logistics of my delivery from this point forward. Thank you for your professionalism and reaching out to me -- when you didn't have to. (WORST - WORST - WORST - Company I have ever dealt with. They refuse to assist you with your delivery. Are totally non-responsive. Totally. Left voicemail upon voicemail and email upon email trying to get my delivery on merchandise that had sitting in their warehouse for two weeks and they never ever called me to schedule anything. When I was lucky enough to reach a live person on the phone, they were not flexible at all. They had one day they delivered to my area - Wednesdays only -- between 10-2. Even after having my merchandise for two weeks, they would not contact their driver and ask if they could deliver to me first when I could be there. They - without contacting me scheduled my delivery on a Thursday, when no one can be there -- and funny thing -- it was not a Wednesday that they told me prior it had to be. Still don't have my merchandise! They are horrible -- I've never been treated so bad -- I was in tears on several occasions -- again and still don't have my merchandise! I have to agree with others that one star is way way way too much for this company. So non-professional and now I worry they will damage my merchandise on purpose because I've called them too much!)

Representative deliberately (I believe) underestimated weight and effort required to pack in order to secure the contract. Packer sent said not a word and left with hours left of work. He did not contact headquarters either. Driver got into an argument with one of the workers before anything was done. He (driver) did not want the inventory to be done by this person. Of course later on when when it became obvious that more help was needed to finish the packing, the driver would say "I'm just the driver." I have had professional movers in the past and never had I had a driver and company so ignorant of or careless abiout the customers stress level. If it had not been for one of the movers who got his wife (also an employee of North American) to come and help we may still be there. The driver started in again at the destination and I told him if I had it do all over I would have fired him at the origination point. At no time did the sales representative or the operations manager offer any help. They did however offer to not deliver my goods unless I paid up immediately for the additional weight he somehow missed on the estimate. If you want a stress free move, put this operation at the bottom of your list.

This is a Horrible company and 1 star is actually way too much. Ordered our furniture through another company which used Beltmann to deliver our furniture. Beltmann called the day before and told us that they will deliver between 2pm-6pm. They showed up at 8:30pm as we were putting our kids to bed. They did NOT call before they showed up! 3 guys came in and quickly put our boxes down and my spouse asked if they were going to check the boxes to make sure that everything was there. They said don't worry about it because they already marked the boxes as damaged then they rushed off. We opened every single box to find that they did NOT deliver 2 boxes(each containing the pedestals for the table) which holds our dining table up so that now we have a huge dining table laying on our floor now for over a week! We couldn't call them back because it was soo late so we called them the next morning which was thursday morning. They said they would not be able to process our request of looking through their moving trucks after a 72 hour process of the request. So Monday morning they would call back. We NEVER received a call and WE had to call them on wednesday to see what was going on. They told us that they found one of the boxes but not the other and that they would call that day before they closed. They did NOT call us ofcourse! Today is friday and still no call so we called them. This time when we called they said that they found the pedestal but not the dining table. We had to explain to them again that we are missing 2 pedestals not the dining table. This company is crap and so are the 2+ stars anyone gives them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arrived late, brought wrong truck that wouldn't back down our long driveway. Took them a hour to finally get the truck into place (which they charged us for). Broke the top of a $3500 desk which we submitted a claim for.....they denied the claim. The moving guys were very nice, but the manager at the Lenexa store has been extremely difficult and unprofessional to deal with. I expected much more from a larger company. I've used THREE MEN AND A TRUCK previously and was very happy.

I was very disappointed with my initial experience with Beltmann. They sent a docusign form that would not allow me to list my high value items. I inquired about this issue and was told a hard copy would be sent to to me to complete. It was not, and a high value art piece was broken while packing. Beltmann only repaid %50 of the value and informed me I was at fault for not completing the form!! On delivery of my belongings they were a day late and informed me the afternoon before my belongings were to be delivered - when I called them! On a positive note, both the packers and delivery men were very professional, efficient and pleasant.

I can not recommend them. They arrived over 1.5 hrs late. They ran out boxes to pack my kitchen items and just took my Uhaul packing boxes without asking. There was a dispute about the inventory list and they wouldn't take everything because of weight concerns. I had to throw out a bunch of stuff that I was going to take in my car so I could take the items they wouldn't take. When they were moving everything in I had to remind them to put something down on the light colored carpet in my new home. After the dispute over not taking everything I was told they didn't have all my items because of weight concerns, wasn't that why they didn't take a bunch of stuff before and I had to throw out things? They had left a medium sized office desk on my driveway. When I asked them about it they said it it wouldn't fit through the door upstairs. They never even brought it up to try. I looked at it a couple of minutes and then measured the door and desk. I told them it would fit and how it would fit, they disagreed. They made me sign a release for damage. Guess what, it fit perfectly without a scratch anywhere. I don't feel I should be telling professional movers how to do their jobs.

It all started with a smooth talker named Ian Robbins who came into our home and assured me that our things would be handled with the white glove treatment. I should have known when the movers knocked a hole in the wall of our Atlanta home and left without mentioning it that there would be trouble on the back end of the move. We had to put our things in the Beltmann Groups storage center on Lewis Drive in Stone Mountain. DO NOT DO THIS OR KISS YOUR THINGS GOODBYE! Fast forward 4 months to delivery day. I am greeted by the mover with, "Mrs. Mase, don't be upset, but half your things aren't in the truck and the other half is damaged." NO ONE from the Beltmann group called ahead and told us of the problem. They just let the guy on the truck fill me in. HALF OF OUR HOUSEHOLD ITEMS ARE MISSING! Just to name a few: OUR BEDS, 2 SOFAS, A KINGSIZED MATTRESS AND HUGE SEAGRASS HEADBOARD, MY USAF FIGHTER PILOT HUSBANDS CLOTHES! WE RECEIVED A BOX OF HANGERS AND 3 BELTS, MY DINING ROOM ANTIQUE TABLE TOP, MY DAUGHTER'S BED RAILS AND MATTRESSES, OUR BEDDING. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. SEE FOR YOURSELF THE DAMAGED ITEMS WE DID RECEIVE BELOW. So save yourself the heartbreak I am going through. My deceased father's oil painting to me GONE. My Grandmother's rocking chair DESTROYED! Money can never replace these things. Please do not consider using the Beltmann Group/ North American Van Lines. If this scares off one potential customer then I have done my job. BRAVO IAN ROBBINS! Have till the end of this month to file a damage report and can not reach anyone to start the process. Beltmann website states this office is open 9am-7pm Sat and Sun. Moved cross country and it was done in 1 week from pick up to drop off using the same truck. There is supposed to be a refund and am waiting on that. Great move! Packed us out in Minnesota and moved us to South Carolina without any problems. Showed up at both ends on time without any loss or damage to any property. Used a credit card for the move, which required a payment of 10% over the estimate which concerned me a bit, but at the end I received almost a third of my money back as a credit on my card. The refund was due to my wife doing a lot of the packing before the movers showed up and we had a giant garage sale and sold a lot of heavy stuff the weekend before the move. The estimate was based on the movers doing all the packing and moving everything they saw when they came to do the estimate 2 weeks before the actual move. Loved these guys and would use them again.

I researched several moving companies before selecting Beltmann and North American Van Lines. We have moved over 20 times in our married life, so we have a better than typical feel for the process and pitfalls. Gary came to the house and did a complete inventory, including the things we weren't taking, then gave us a binding price. Upon agreeing to move with Beltmann, Kim, our Move Coordinator, contacted us to set up dates, times and specific needs. Our needs included getting a third party to disassemble and reassemble our bed and our strong desire that our things not go into storage, even for a day. Kim was able to meet both of those, despite the fact we were moving during the industry's busy season. Everything came off as agreed. Kim was is continuous contact with us to be sure everything was handled to our satisfaction. The North American Van Lines driver was wonderful to work with also. We had no damage, loss or unexpected charges for this move. It could not have gone better. Beltmann and NAVL were fantastic to work with. We can highly recommend Beltmann and NAVL for your move. You could not be in better hands.

They also worked hard when they arrived at our new home. Only one small item was broken, which should of been wrapped and packed better. Both of the crews who loaded and unloaded did a great job. In the end, we had to pay extra because the final weight was over the estimated weight. I would recommend this company to others.

Unfortunate experience with this branch of the North American movers. They were late on delivery, their one mover dragged a box labeled fragile down our basement steps, the same mover destroyed a section of our brand new hardwood floors, the same said mover dragged his hand down our wall every time he came down and stained the wall. They also ripped three pieces of our sectional. That was six weeks ago and still have not heard from the branch location. I did hear from Corporate who said they would talk to them, but clearly they did not.

I was apprehensive hiring a moving company to move me from Minnesota to Florida - especially with a 4+ bedroom, 3-car garage and a pole barn full of stuff. I had contacted Beltmann along with three other companies. My experiences during my military years were less then ideal. Ann, the estimator was spot-on on the amount of cubic feet (3300) and weight we where moving (27000 pounds) - basically a full trailer. One other mover quoted me 16000, and the other two did not come to my home and based their estimate on Beltmann's estimate - which I immediately found suspicious as they could not see a 140 foot driveway, or pole barn and heavy safes with stairs. They both under-quoted Beltmann by about $1000. I felt best with the service and feedback I did get from Beltmann and after reviewing their complaints on the Federal transportation sights (You can look up all complaints there). Beltmann arrived on time although some of the movers were a bit late, they took two full days to pack the truck out. The moving crew seemed friendly and professional and worked hard. (One must remember most of the guys working for the moving companies are not employees of the company but are independent and the driver pays them.) On arrival, right on time, the unpackers arrived a bit late and worked their butts off to get our house full of our junk. There was some dispute with the driver over their hourly pay, but were good to our stuff. No major breaks or losses - I did buy the insurance with the $1000 deductible to only cover the entire shipment in case of an accident, fire or theft or the rig - people do need to check with their home owners or renters insurance as some do cover things during a move - but only if the items are lost under strict circumstances. I suspect the insurance is a bit of a scam, but thankfully I didn't need it. Overall it was a great move - better then most of my moves during the military years. They even had promised to refund part of the payment if under the weight estimate and this was automatically credited back to my card. The driver was in contact with us over the road and easy to work with. I'd use Beltmann again without hesitation.

I lived in a two bedroom apartment and moved from Illinois to Florida. Beltmann packed my goods as well. The packers were outstanding. Everything well packed and arrived with no breakage. Very organized! A slight snag on loading day when one of the workers called in sick. They were unable to replace him resulting in a much longer time-to-load (prevents a 5 rating). Basically, one guy did it all and was phenomenal. The unloading process went off without a hitch. I'm on the third floor with no elevator. High heat and humidity but they never complained. A great job. I would definitely recommend Beltmann.

We could not have been more pleased with the way the Beltmann group handled our move.We had to move on very short notice and co-ordinate our move between a closing in Atlanta and a closing in Greenville, S.C. The arrival, packing and shipping were all done exactly as planned. If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. Only use them if you don't care about your things, are happy with adding stress to your move and don't care if they overcharge you. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a mover. Lost, damaged and disassembled items because they sent small uHaul trucks to get our entire 20k pound household. - Ridiculous. North American who subbed the job to Beltmann is handling damage claim but nothing on the overcharge and horrible experience from Beltmann. Do not recommend!

Terrible customer service. They delivered a bunk bed to my house and couldn't finish the set up because they didn't have all the parts. A mistake but I could look past it. One of the drawers was badly scratched during transit so they would take that back to the hub and repair it. According to the driver the parts and repaired drawer would be back tomorrow. The drivers proceeded to leave the room a mess. They left the trundle sitting on its side in the middle of the room, drawers and hardware all over the floor, pieces laying on top of each other but not connected so that when I tried to move them to get my 5 year olds clothes the feel on me. They left an open razor blade sitting on the floor. I immediately took pictures of everything after they left (ill attach them below). Once I called to ask about the drawer repair and the time line(on 10/16) I was told that the furniture repair person wouldnt even get to look at it until Thursday to determine when he could fix it and then they would schedule getting back out to us. I didn't hear back from them for 4 days so I called and was told that they weren't able to fix the drawer yet and they couldn't find the parts for my bed. I continued getting the same answers for weeks. I involved Coleman Furniture in the issue and at that point all communications with Beltmann stopped. They knew I had pictures of the open razor blade and the other dangerous situations they left in my home with 2 small children. This issue is still not resolved and Coleman is telling me that I will have to pay restocking and shipping fees. Beltmann screws up and costs me time and money, that seems fair. I will be pursuing legal action to ensure that I am refunded my money.

I ordered two rugs from Macy's to be delivered to my home. They subcontracted to this company to be delivered. The rugs were delivered from Macy's to this moving company on the 6th. It is now the 14th. I have called numerous times with no cooperation at all from their end, they informed me that they were here in my area yesterday, the 13th, but...cannot deliver my carpets until next Tuesday the 20th because of their scheduling system. I don't usually write reviews, but this has been so frustrating that this time...I wanted to make sure I communicated how poorly I feel that I was treated and how low of a service quality I believe this company has exhibited.

When we received our estimate by Gordon S. for the move job he provided options to cut the cost if we chose to do so. Beltman provided A $50 coupon to apply towards boxes purchased from No Am Van Lines which came in handy for my own packing. Both Cheryl and Shelley were helpful from the Beltman office keeping me informed and checking while packing and delivering were underway. Keith did an I increditable job wrapping & packing boxes - nothing was broken. Lots of wrapping paper used especially on breakable items. Dave, the head mover of our job, went out of his way to retrieve a television that was left behind in error after the walk through when everything was packed the in truck. The 100 degree heat didn't get in their way of the move job! They were thoughtful when asked to provide ideas & suggestions for positioning furniture in our house. I would recommend Beltman Relocation Group again and again after the great experience we had.

Used Beltmann group for move from ATL to CHI last June. Signed contract for Packing on the 4th, loading on the 5th and delivery between the 8th and 19th. No show on the 4th (they did leave a voice mail saying they would now pack and load on the 5th), showed up late on the 5th. One worker had a doctors appointment and had to leave and the lead then left for 2 hours to get another guy. Half the crew was good the other half not so much. I had made plans to be driving out by 3pm(what are contracts for) ended up leaving after 10pm. On the other end they missed the delivery window by 6 days, 21 days after this started. No communication, apology or acceptance of responsibility whatsoever. Everything was North American or the drivers issue that they have no influence on. They refused or were unable to let me know what was covered because of the delay or when my delivery would arrive. Finally contacted North American and after 4 days of going around with them was reimbursed for most expenses incurred over the 6 day late timeline but not until I emailed 20 executives at North American multiple times. The long story short: If they hit their points they are probably as good as anyone but if issues arise expect avoidance and a mindbogglingly lack of concern for the customer or telling the truth.

I used Beltmann Relocation Group to move from Andover MN to Panama City Beach FL. This was a personal move and was paid by us and not a company. The crew that loaded the truck did and excellent job and was very efficient. The crew that unloaded in FL was equally efficient. The driver was outstanding. He ran the crew and his customer service was excellent. The cost of the mover was less than I expected and very reasonable. In fact if I had moved myself and hired two people to assist in packing and unpacking It would have cost about the same. Instead they did it all and I was extremely pleased. If I move again I will use Beltmann and highly recommend them to anyone moving.

We have had such a frustrating experience with this moving company. Everything seemed fine on moving day & then when we received our delivery and our couch was missing. They 'forgot' our couch in New Jersey (we relocated to Nashville). The moving coordinator claimed the couch would get to us 'in a few days' and here we are 6 days later and no word on the couch. We opened our TV boxes this morning and our living room new TV is missing. Overall, extremely dissatisfied and wish we never used Beltmann Group. Go elsewhere, use any other moving company other than this one.
