Billy was responsive from my first contact and he and his staff were responsive, responsible and reasonably priced. The doors and furniture were wrapped when needed. The removed TVs and brackets and made sure all the hardware was in place. In addition to moving the furniture in a timely manner, they moved a refrigerator to my off site storage unit. Yea all around for the moving company!

These guys did an AMAZING JOB!! I was located in Richmond and had a move to Northern Virginia, regardless of this company being located in VA beach. They finished loading my old apartment within an hour, and unloaded in NoVa within 2 hours at max. They had amazing attitudes and absolutely no furniture was damaged in any way. The Moving Company assisted me with my move on 20 October. They were exceptional! They were on time, worked efficiently and carefully wrapped all of my furniture. They were so careful, they even wrapped the front door jam so that nothing would get damaged. Having moved 17 times during my Air Force career, I can say that I have never had a more careful and efficient move. I was extremely impressed by their efficiency and care of my household belongings. I can recommend them without any reservation. You will not be disappointed.

I have moved several times in the last 15 years in the Hampton Roads area. Billy was referred by a friend who used him to move recently. I tend not to leave reviews unless there is a problem because we all know that some businesses drum up business with fake reviews. I will recommend Billy to ANYONE who needs a reliable, honest, hard working and good communicator. I scheduled with him a couple weeks out and he touched base a day before the move to verify the time. I feel bad for not remembering his associates (2) that assisted him but they were super polite and just as hard working. Nobody was standing around while I wondered where my money was going. They hustled and made short work of my job which took 4 hours. I priced several folks and Billy’s price was MORE than reasonable. Do not hesitate to give him a call, I will be recommending him to anyone who asks. Thank you for a job well done. TJ

My mother can be quite picky under the best circumstances - a complete life upheaval does not make for the best circumstances. The Moving Company handled her with tact, dignity and care. Moving furniture is simple. Moving people's lives takes talent and care. The Moving Company moved my mother's life - and did it well.

Although they communicated the issue promptly, repeated delays in the planned time for service (from 2 PM to 4 PM to 7 PM) resulted in our canceling their help to load our 26' truck with our largest furniture items. If relatives hadn't become available, my wife and I couldn't have done it ourselves. This is a small company that only has a few crews so if something delays or extends work on another job, your move may be effected. Always have a plan "B".

My husband and I have moved several times in the past. We’ve only had one other experience with a (different) moving company and they were terrible. Which is why we’ve done all our other moves, on our own. However, with heavy furniture and bad backs, we needed help. Our apartment complex recommended the Moving Company and we’re glad they did. These guys moved all our furniture with ease and absolutely no damage. Very personable, very efficient and their pricing is VERY reasonable. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who needs a moving company. I hope to be settled in the same place for a few years but if anything changes, I’d call them again.

I was impressed and very satisfied with the first move that I contracted him again for the second move. I have heard that moving into a new home is on the list of 'stressful life events' that put us, for the most part normal adults, to the sanity test. .....And then Billy rings your doorbell. First you panic, because there are piles of clothes still scattered across your bedroom floor and more than one hectic closet that hasn't realized it's moving day yet. You let Billy know about the state of affairs in your home before you let he and his crew over the threshold, just in case they want to reconsider. They don't. Instead, Billy asks you to show him around. 'Ok. Ok. Ok. Guess what Vanessa, this is no big deal. We can have you moved before evening.' Our shoulders went down and the panic levels subsided as he and his team began to carefully transfer the contents of our lives onto their truck. My husband and I decided our best course of action would be to step out of the way, because magic was happening. By the end of the day, there was a fully assembled bed in each room, exactly where we wanted it to be. (There were sheets on those beds too by the way...) There was a desk in an office with a chair in the front, fully assembled, so there were no excuses for hubby not to get to work the very next day. If I was not there myself, I swear I would have thought Billy was Captain Kirk and he and Scottie had 'beemed up' our home in a huge teleportation device. Billy, my husband and I are forever in your debt. We found our forever home and you and your wonderful crew were the gentle hands we needed to help get there. Thank you!! Bryson and Vanessa

Used The Moving Company to move out of a storage unit and into a new apartment. 2 people showed up at the scheduled time and helped move the whole unit across town and into the new place. Very professional and took great care of my items. I had alot of fragile stuff and each one was wrapped in padding for protection. They moved several large items thru a tight entry way without damaging the walls or items. Payment was made with no problems and at the agreed upon rate. Ive dealt with several moving companies in the past, and these guys were easily the best. I would recommend them to anyone looking to move in the area.

I was recommended to call by the nice lady at U-Haul, and am glad I did. The guys were prompt, efficient and so nice! They not only took apart furniture but set it back up again after making sure everything was where I wanted it (bed frames are a pain in the *, so that was awesome). Very frustrated with our first and only experience with this company. The owner quoted us an hourly rate that my husband verified several times before agreeing to hire. At the end of the move, the rate had doubled due to more people helping with the move. This rate increase was never discussed with my husband. The owner would not work with us at all to honor his quote. We agreed to pay the amount but asked him to hold our check for a few days and call us before depositing so we could make sure we had funds to cover the check. The owner agreed but then deposited the check the following day without calling. Thoroughly disappointed at the lack of honoring his word. I consider them not trustworthy at all!

I was in the Navy for 20 years and this was not my first move but this was by far the most professional and most enjoyable move I've ever had.
