We were quoted 2 hours to move a bed, a table, a desk, a book case, a couch, and a washer and dryer. It took more than double that time and the movers seemed inexperienced in their knowledge of how to move large furniture (a few pieces ended up dinged, especially the wall in the apartment--but you do expect a few casualties in a move). At the end of the move, we learned that this was a brand new company and that this was the movers' first time doing a job. I wish they had told us that upfront. With time, this could be a great company, but it was pretty disappointing how long the move took, and I was constantly worried that they did not have the skills to carry my heavy pieces up and down the stairs. Nonetheless, they were nice, respectful, and well-meaning and they did not charge us for all of the over-time, even though it did end up being quite more expensive than we thought it would be. Moving is hard. Starting a new business is hard. So no hurt feelings. But it was not the best experience.
