This Movie Theater is included in the category of Movie theater.
Pretty good theater.
Horrible experience. could barely hear the movie, when asked if they could turn the volume up they said they would, and then they didn't. Also, I got a large popcorn for my family, and 40 minutes into the movie that already shut down concessions, and no one could be found for 5 minutes to help out. I'll never go to this theater again, why waste of money!
I like how people get mad over going to concessions to get your tickets, you have to go that way anyways. Also the lines being long is not our fault its called being busy. We are not the cleanest but the janitors dont help much either when they clean. Its 20 minutes of previews by the way not 30 minutes!
It was great the workers we're nice the seat were ok... Food was good and so were the drinks
This is our favorite movie theater, because of the friendly staff, great ticket prices and variety of concessions. However, the seats desperately need an upgrade, and the whole theater is starting to age poorly. Still our go to theater, but I wish they would refurbish.
Just a nice clean place to catch a show. Accusticks were up to the task. Good as it gets.
The staff were rude, the place was very dirty. Two seats has food on it. I will never go back.
On two occasions we had gone to a 7pm show and although we loved the near empty theater when members of our group went to refill their value buckets...they had sold off all the popcorn. Ummmm...it's peak hours and you what? Not like they ran out, they sold it off. We were told they do that at the end of the night. Then why sell value buckets? Has anyone else experienced this?
Haven't been in years , finally went to watch dragon ball super: Broly. The sound has no base and you could barely hear certain parts of the music. The movie didn't fit on the screen at the top or bottom. Very disappointed in the service recieved while visiting. Hopefully the next animated movie is shown at the other theater.
Great for movies, movie was cheaper than the other movie theater in Cheyenne. Still expensive for popcorn and drinks. Didn't like the seats. The seat should have extended out front a bit more. Backs straight up and down.
Honestly, really not that impressed. We showed up 15 minutes early to get in, but there was no one at the ticket booth to check in with. There were some employees inside who continue to simply stare at us as we wonder what the deal is. They finally got us in after we asked what they even do around here. Small water bottle was $7, so we asked for a small cup and got a literal Dixie cup. We then went into the theater and continue to wait a solid 20 minutes for the commercials and then another 10-15 minutes of previews, landing rolling time around 30 minutes late. Only thing maybe close to decent was the price, and you definitely get what you pay for. Facility in general was in extremely poor condition and staff remarkably aloof to any concerns of their customers. Would rather get a RedBox and call it a night. I do not recommend.
We ONLY go to this theater in Cheyenne. Why? Because the seating for wheelchairs is spaced a decent distance from the screen. The other BIG theater makes chair users sit in the front rows where one's head must be tilted back making seeing the screen difficult and distorted. For this you pay a lot of money. Frontier mall may not be all perfect but for us it is. The staff is always friendly too, not something that was true on the two instances we attempted the other theater. Also the "dollar" movie theater only plays one show in the area that a wheelchair can go so if you want to see one playing upstairs.......to bad, no lift.
I like the theatre mostly because its big and after a movie you can go shopping or have a bite without wasting gas money
I really enjoy going to seeing a good movie with my son. I just wish that it was a lot cleaner
Not a bad experience. Friendly staff, clean theater, and good times for movies to show.
Torn up seats, dirty, and lacking appeal.
Friendly clean personable. I'm now a A list member because of the excellent customer service. And yes their mostly kid's. They give it a good go
Drove up from Colorado to see a movie that wasn’t playing in our area and found this treasure. Super cute movie theater! Prices were fair (movie theater fair) enjoyed our visit.
Have great movies at reasonable prices
Decent theater I prefer capital 12 if possible
Movie theatre is great, but the show time was 12:15 and movie did not start until 1.
Too many teenagers, sticky floors, and in general run-down looking. This theater had no intention of adding stadium seating until the Capitol Theater broke ground, and even after the remodeled it still looked shabby. I've had much better experiences at the Capitol even after giving Frontier 9 a couple of chances.
Three of us went there to see a movie and I planned to use a pre-paid gift card I had been given. When I approached the concessions counter, the very young girl barely spoke or made eye contact - was almost Zombie-like. With that attitude, she has NO business waiting on the public. Anyway, I gave her the pre-paid gift card and she says it was declined. After I insisted she check it out, she stood there with a blind look and eventually asked someone else what to do. They tried to process it too. I gave up and paid for the tickets and decided to get a popcorn and two drinks - the bill?: $22.00!! I told her I refuse to pay that exorbitant price and went into the dirty theater, sit down and waited for the movie to start - twenty minutes after the posted time. Don't bother patronizing this business - they are HORRIBLE!
Ok
They kicked us out
Courteous staff and they are all super friendly.
It is awesome and there are some great deals. Plus, I can prepay for tickets and walk in without waiting forever in the line for the next star wars or marvel movie.
This theater is over priced and not well taken care of, the staff act like they don't want you there. Save yourself time and money, don't go to the Frontier 9.
Lame
Love the seating, lounge out if you want. Bring a blanket or sweatshirt it's pretty chilly.
Very good movie theater. Great selection of shows to watch.
It's ok. Uncomfortable seats and outdated but it gets the job done.
Clean, uncrowded, unlimited icees! AMC Stubs is the way to go
I went to see the Shape of Water and the experience was horrible. First, the cashier/concessionist was moving so slowly helping the people ahead of me that I missed the beginning of the movie. Then, the film had some scenes with subtitles but the aspect ratio was wrong where I couldn't read them. Went out to complain two times and they said their manager was on it which was a lie, it wasn't fix AT ALL. This is far from the first time I've had problems at this theater since it changed to AMC, never had problems when it was Carmike . I am tired of Frontier's incompetence and won't be returning EVER AGAIN.
$$$$ cheaper and better at the capitol. Only thing good is the popcorn I will give 5 stars
Been sitting here now for 20 minutes and no movie has started . And the screen is blank......
Not a bad theater.....one day the food will actually be reasonably priced.....and not the same as an amusement park.....
Friendly staff. Place could use an update seating wise, but still worthy of 5 stars.
This movie theater needs to update its status for R rated movies, a 16 year old can go in with a parent to Capital and sign something to allow the child to see it. Not here, if your a teenager parent, have fun watching the same movie as your 16 year old and his or her friends.
What a great place!!!! They have the most hardworking, incredible, and polite employees I have ever encountered! Would definitely recommend this theatre to anyone.
I enjoying going to this theater due to prices and friendly staff. However, bathrooms and theater seating need to be updated or refurbished. I would be happy to pay a higher price to help them pay for these upgrades.
Needs an update to there seats
Definitely not my favorite theater, the parking is not wonderful since it is at the mall and the theater is not my favorite. Prices about the same.
Service was friendly and I loved the movie.
Love Tuesday movie nights.
Took our grandsons to see Mary Poppins Returns. It was great and the theater was clean and sound was great!
ok
It's iight
I like the new lower everyday pricing scheme. Staff is always polite. Lady manager always wants to say hi to our special needs son. Way better popcorn in size and price than the other theater in town. Theater seats and rooms are more vintage, but they also match vintage with decent pricing. Always a nice experience for the family.
Good prices but this theatre is badly in need of a renovation.
This theater is always either to hot or to cold, usually to cold. The sound is never turned up loud enough and it takes 30 minutes for a movie to start. I've never seen so many previews and commercials at any theater before. I'm guessing that's because they never have enough staff so the concession line is a mile long and very slow.
Great place for a night out
Great place
Local theatre. Not yet updated to LUX seating.
Terrible. Unprofessional. Lousy customer service. Screen was dark through the advertisements at the beginning. Previews start: dark screen. Go and talk to the guy at concessions who says it's normal. It will come on soon. Another three people complain to no avail. Previews continue to play. One guy goes to complain a second time and even though he doesn't work there let's the whole theater know they are working on it. We left. Only nice part was getting our refund and going to see the movie at the better theater in town.
It's just another movie theater, dirty and overpriced like most. although I was really annoyed by being directed to the concessions counter to pick up my tickets. Having to wait 20+ minutes for each person/family to make their food selection and wait for the really slow staff to move through each transaction was annoying. I guess it is a good thing the movie started 30 minutes past advertised time since that's how many commercials and previews they had. I was early but later than I wanted to be for the movie and would have like to get my ticket right away and pick a seat BEFORE going to get concessions. I didn't buy concessions and wouldn't have stayed in line to buy tickets had I not purchased them in advance. I won't be going back.
They had Broly!!
Best service ever! Tristan definitely their best asset!
Very affordable ! Enjoyed a night out in a comfortable theater ie. chairs, temperature, sound.
Honestly the best theater in town quality wise plus a very nice staff and great atmosphere
It's okay, just kinda worn down
The staff is always friendly and the food is good. The popcorn bucket is a great deal. They also have many deals so I do believe they try and make it so everyone can afford to go to the movies. 5 out of 5 stars wold recommend.
Went to see a movie, someone had the bright idea to close the ticket counter "for our convenience" so we had to order tickets from the concession counter. We went in to find 3 lines of between 10-15 people each. We stood in line 15 minutes and made it about halfway through the line. Then a person (I assume the manager) reopened the ticket counter for those of us only wanting to buy tickets. Come to find out the movie we wanted to see wasn't playing because the projector was broken. Posting a simple sign would've saved us about 20 wasted minutes. A simple apology or offering of a discount on a future show might've saved them a customer. Hard to ever justify going back here when the Capitol Theater is so much nicer and run so much better. Probably the last time we will be going to the Frontier 9 for a VERY LONG TIME.
Popcorn and sodas are rediculously priced. 3D Movie was priced reasonably. Me the wife and kids $49 for tickets and $52 at the concession counter! Good thing it was one of the best Movies seen in a while... AQUAMAN Was awesome!!!!
The movie was god
Nice place but all seats was empty
Service was good movie theater outdated. I get it. It's Cheyenne but it might do the movie theater and the mall some justice if you upgraded and made it worth while to go and see. I don't know AMC this was kind of embarrassing seeing this movie theater after seeing the other ones.
Unfortunately today the theater was very dirty floors needed to be mopped and swept. Usually a very clean theater
Nice movie theater, affordable tickets
Decent theater, hours are kinda restrictive because it's located in the mall. Unless it's a big movie they're normally closed at 9pm
30 minutes of trailers is ridiculous. Movie start time was 715. The movie actually started at 745. Unacceptable.
Nice old movie theater, but it's likely to be the best movie theater in town. It is from the AMC chain of movie theaters.
Floors were sticky good price on tickets though
Went to see a movie around noon on a Saturday. It was like a ghost town. The service was friendly. Pricing is expensive for concessions and tickets, but to be expected from any movie theater. The lights to the theater were on the whole movie and even though an employee had walked in and saw this was the vase, still nothing was turned off so we watched the whple 2 hours of movie with the lights on. The movie started late. It seemed that they werent prepared to have anyone there. My brother and I were the only ones in the theater. The popcorn made both my brother and I sick afterwards. Would probably not come back.
I still like to walk into a theater and pick my own seat. This theater is not fancy or all decked out but it is far cheaper than the other and the service is really good.
Mike Kristy
Saw the new avengers in 3d... screen brightness and color were terrible. I felt like I was watching a bootleg version of the movie. This theater needs to step up their game if they're going to try to compete with other theaters. Loved the movie... hated the experience.
Convenient, plenty of parking, in the mall, friendly & courteous staff & best of all the prices are great.
Seats suck
I like the theater, close to my house and has the movies like it should. As others have noted though, in desperate need of an upgrade. If they would modernize, business would pick way up. One good thing though is you can see a New release and will be 25% full, so no worries about crowds...
It was clean and not too crowded. With the loyalty card, the movie is only 5 bucks on Tuesday.
They were told that their soda tastes as if it were of no taste. Yuk but there's room 4 improvement. The bathrooms are gross Update. Its February 9th and we went to see Aquaman for the 17th time. The theater it was in was theater 2 and let's just say it was worth quitting in seeing Aquaman. The visual effects were not as clear as it was in theater 6. AMC needs new equipment in all of their theatres.
The theater appears to be updated/in the process of being updated. Service was quick and efficient. I was using the atom app and they had no problem printing my tickets. Everything was clean and comfortable. The only thing missing was access to WiFi. I hope that comes soon. Overall a good experience.
Seats are very comfortable, sound quality of the movie was perfect, and always great popcorn!
Seats are uncomfortable
My fav movie theater in Cheyenne. MAC is slowly updating making it nice again. Staff are friendly and do their best to keep things clean. Wish more movie goers didn't treat the staff as maids for their messes.
Good place. Cleanliness sometimes an issue.
Went and saw toy story 4, it was okay I guess
I've lived here for as long as I can remember and it is a great theater
Great movie
Nice theater - simple but nice and well priced (4.99 before 5pm!). Bathrooms were clean and popcorn and soda were not too badly priced wither. Free refill drinks.
The place is falling apart.
Please change the seats out, clean up, AND STOP BEING CHEAP!
Student discount
Bathrooms are clean, staff is very nice. But chairs need to be updated. And better air conditioning and play some music on the screen while people are waiting for the movie to start. Take after the Lincoln theater. They play music And have trivia playing until time for the movie to start.
Great place
Pretty run down theatre without alot of options
Excellent customer service!
Movie never starts
It's affordable but you can tell by the seats.
It was hot inside the theatre, sound was good,
This is a great theater that gets movies quickly when they come out. However, the seats are not super comfortable.
Not even HD, keep up with the times man!
Terrible terrible service. We ordered our tickets ahead of time on the AMC app and we still had to stand in the only line they had. They only two people working and people were buying tickets and ordering popcorn at the same counter which is why it took forever. After standing and waiting in line for over 30 minutes and after the movie had already started we finally made our way to the theatre. There were no seats left except the very front and we were lucky to find enough seats for the family (2 adults, 2 children, and 1 older baby). The seats we did get had holes in the padding and everything was extremely sticky. Honestly I don’t think we will go back. I would rather pay extra for the Capital Theatre about a mile from here.
It was alright, the only really big complaint is they schedule movies for a certain time but you watch so many dang previews it starts thirty minutes after the movie should have started. Im unsure if this is a reflection on the theater preview wise, I understand they have to show them but it is a reflection when you say and schedule the fact movie will start at 1:45 but do not even start showing previews until after 2:00. Although it was pretty much just an annoyance to my husband and I we can see how this would be very frustrating to parents and heard many of them complain and having to text their sitters that theyll be late.
Here for the first show of the day, and this theatre is filthy. Obviously the night crew doesn't do its job.
Nice family movie time and great prices.
The theater is fairly small , but decent enough for the area. The matinee price is 4 and some change which is awesome enough to make me continue watching movies there. All in all if your going during the day, great. If you want to take a date to the movies, maybe consider a nicer location.
Great environment..a bit pricey
I would like to frequent this theater but because the comfort level is unpleasant due to lack of heat will be a iffy.. It's uncomfortable having to wear a coat while watching a movie. I prefer to be relaxed and less cumbersome. Too bad, great location!
Three things really ruined this movie theater for me. 1) The movie started a full 30 minutes after the scheduled time. 2) It was very cold, I had a sweatershirt and a jacket on and I was still cold. 3) The showing was supposed to be 2D, that's what the they told me when I bought the ticket and that's what the sign said, but when the movie started it was in 3D and people had to go out and get 3D glasses. I didn't want to see the movie in 3D, which is why I chose a 2D time.
Definitely getting better, especially since it was purchased by AMC. Seemes much cleaner, it stands out more, and the choices of drinks is great. I am now able to put how much butter I want, and where in the bag instead of watching the employees to. I can put my own icee in, and a few of the new employees are much more talkative and funny. The employees who worked prior seem happier.
They didn't have popcorn.......... my holy ****
I went to the theater with my grandson today as the Incredibles 2 movie was full at the 2pm showing. We went to AMC to make sure we got tickets for the same show starting in 45 minutes. When arriving back to the theater after window shopping we went to the concession area and no one would wait on us...the manager was called to front area and said we had to go to the back of the line and wait clear out the doors at end of line. I was very disappointed in all of the staff mostly the manager. I will never give that theater my time of day or money again.
Not happy about late movie times, not everyone wants to head to a 4pm showing, what happened to matinees?
Less than stellar seating, unable to make change, and clearly heard one associate tell another just to wash the top two or three snack carriers. Very disappointing.
it's what a movie theater is supposed to be. but the popcorn isn't great and leaves my stomach feeling really bad all night. but I'll always love the bug screen.
Do Not come here, they have rat traps hidden everywhere, the movies are always messed up, and all the staff is rude and everything is dirty.
Nice, clean, excellent popcorn
Great theater. The seats are classic and the theater is dark...very different from California and loved it.
Cheap way to watch a movie
Amazingly friendly staff, but the place needs a facelift in the worst way. It's hard to believe that this property is an AMC. With the staff it shouldn't take too long for you to turn this into Cheyenne's best theater.
This theater is overpriced and so dirty worst theater in Cheyenne.
They have the Boxes for hearing impared.. they are fantastic ..
A little dirty, but nice big screens and sound
Needs an upgrade.... bad. The place smells, bathrooms are gross and old. Seats questionable, amc is big, why can’t they upgrade the place?
Horrible experience. Movie was supposed to start at 3:30. We arrived at 3:33 and even though I purchased tickets online (paying an extra $4 in fees) we had to wait in the concessions line to get paper tickets (validate my verification code). We finally got in the actual theater where the movie was showing and the elevator music was still playing. Something smelled funky so we switched to different seats and got settled and waiting a few MORE minutes for the previews to start! 20+ minutes later (almost 4 pm) the movie finally started. I expect maybe a few minutes of previews/trailers, but starting the feature film a half hour after the posted time is ridiculous! Yes, it was less expensive than the other theater, but my time is valuable too, and I don't expect to be held captive for an extra half an hour.
Adequate theater, dirty. No staff at the front counter.
Everytime I go there, I get some kind of virus. Something's not kept clean.
I love it! the movie theater's bathrooms are very nice && the carpet is very soft. the seats are very comfortable && the snacks are amazing. however, I do dislike the fact that the movie takes 30 minutes to start && that the snack counter takes forever. other than that, I love your movie theater so much more that the capital.
I've worked in the theater business for a couple years and it might just be me, but does anyone else feel like when you walk into this theater you are settling? The last time I went to this theater the majority of the staff seemed inconvenienced by my presence. Also, the hallways are so dim and poorly maintained. It feels like you are walking through a dungeon. They seem to always have product and items stacked in the hallways, which just looks very tacky. The staff is ok, but the overall ascetic of this theater just makes me sad. Buy some light bulbs and run a vacuum through your lobby every once and a while. Take some pride in your business.
Just saw Mission Impossible Rogue Nation. Good movie but this theater is run down and DIRTY. Top row of seats upholstery worn off and chunks of padding ripped out. Carpet in hallway is gross and filthy, laminate coming off doors in run down bathroom, cardboard sign taped to floor saying stall out of order. I'm going to start going to the Capital where everything isn't covered with ICKY.
I've been there once and it wasn't that bad. If ppl are cold bring a sweat shirt or something, plus it's a lot more fun watching a movie cuddled up... some ppl are just really picky and entitled. Say something nice or say nothing at all. If you want to help them improve what they have then say that, that's fine. But this complaining and bitchy and passive aggressive society is getting ridiculous
Crude humor by staff in front of my daughter and I as if we weren't even there with no apology. Theatre 3 screen was dim and flickery. I don't recommend this movie theatre at all. The seats are very stiff and uncomfortable plus they don't recline at all.
Just another overpriced theater.
The seats are very low - hard getting up for those of us with bad knees.
Great place to watch a movie.
I don't understand how it can be so difficult to run a movie theater, but some how every movie I've seen here has had problems. There's nothing the theater can do about dumb kids that come in from the mall and talk during the movie. And the gross bathrooms old dirty chairs and peeling paint are part of it's charm. But really? It's really too hard to turn the lights off while the movie is playing? And that's even if the movie starts playing. Today we informed the lobby that the movie wasn't playing and the rude kid was like "jeeze it takes the projectors a bit to warm up! Gosh!" Just terrible management. But hey it's four bucks so you get what you pay for I guess.
lines are very long and very dirty but the big value bucket is good
In dire need of updating
Well waiting for Hollywood to wake up Happy New Years.
I took my granddaughter to go see the Men in Black good movie good prices old school seeding
