Great as usual

Anna Lloyd

old-fashioned drive-in theater amazing time I had with my family they have really good food is friendly family environment you definitely will enjoy yourself if you grew up going to drive in this is the place to visit

Karen Olson

Love this place. My kids and I enjoy going. I used to go to outdoor theater when I was a kid way back when and Im so glad they're still around for my kids to enjoy it also.

barrissoffeejr

Had a great time. Bring bug spray, mosquitos are bad!

Shalini khare

It was a different and fun experience

RORY Klossner

Blast from the past! Worth going.

Megan Farley

super cute place. We took a truck and laid in the back and the audio was pretty good. The snacks are pretty decently priced and good. The bugs were super bad but they have very strong bug spray available to buy there which was great. Not many people stayed for the double feature but it was great! Can’t wait to go again.

Ian Pozdol

What an awesome throwback this theatre was. It's nothing special for amenities, being quite on in years, but that's exactly what I wanted. It was the best way to watch Guardians of the Galaxy. And they had a Zoltar! Just make sure you account for how long that double feature runs (about 1:30 am finish time!).

Kenneth Kealey

Love this place. A true piece of American culture.

Breanna Taylor

We go multiple times every summer!!

Dalton Roth

The theater itself is quite nice and sounds good. The problem with this theater (and every drive-in) is that you have to rely on a bunch of people to follow the rules like keeping their lights off and there's always at least one moron who doesn't follow the rules. Not the theaters fault, but still very annoying.

D Ringwolski

Awesome time. Brings back great memories

Chandrasekar M

Good time

Mark Cluth

Still love drive-ins! This is authentic but better

Jacqui Ensenbach

Did not enforce thier own rules!! 2 burnt pizzas after almost an hour!!! Huge trucks parking up front...we used to love this place

From This Corner of the Fractal

Is it old? Yes. Is it dated? Yes. But is the food good? Yes. Can you pee in a real structure? Yes. Is it an awesome blast from the past? Hell Yes!! SO HAPPY THIS PLACE EXISTS! ❤️

shelly pasdera

Had a good time. But the bathrooms could use some help

Levi Schubkegel

Great time for the whole family. Being your own radio because their speakers aren't great.

Dave Alcorn

This place takes you back in time. They have a great food selection. Very fun place to go in the summer.

Matthew Hollingsworth

Love this place. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. On one of our visits it was raining and our car battery died. The staff got their raincoats on and gave us a jump.

Nick Hoeft

Awesome place to take the family. Fun little bar that has nostalgic charm. Quarter and dime jukebox and pinball in the bar. Amazing chicken tenders and popcorn.

William Boyer

Sound quality was terrible, but that's part of the drive in experience. The movies really lost their immersion with the poor sound which explains the rating. Mosquitoes were also really bad. Just an honest opinion: I'd recommend if you want to experience a drive in theater, but I'd rather go to Marcus theaters on Tuesdays to watch movies for $5 each in a dream lounger.

Julie Martinez

Cute little place the staff is super friendly and the fries are the best

Mike Meske

Good food at decent prices. The sound had a little static in it a few times but it was good in general.

Ben Smerud

Nice place

Joshua Kraut

Great family fun, but bring mosquito repellent

Nick Rohrer

Don’t bother. Employees patrol parking lots looking for people who bring in snacks/drinks from outside. Spent $72 at the concession stand for my kids and their friends only to have some random employee tell me we had to leave because of random water bottles in my trunk. They do however turn a blind eye to the random underage drinking that went on in plain sight. Don’t waste your time or money on this place. It’s not worth it.

Greg Roy

Excellent all the way around. The staff was friendly and helpful..Dogs are well behaved and mine loves to come along. Plan on having dinner there, no food is allowed to be carried in; since the movie companies take all their profit for the movies..the only way they can live is off the concessions. We go as often as we can..you can get a drink up at the bar before the first movie on weekends only..so come early and enjoy! Buy the deet they sell the bugs stay away with a couple sprays.

Keith Schmelling

We enjoyed the outdoor experience with our two young children

Acsa Buening

Good and different outing but be sure to wear long sleeves, jeans, have a couple of blankets and do not forget bug spray! Those bugs will eat you up if you don't!

Deb Roever

Fun, family entertainment!

Richard Stout

What a fun family thing to do. Highly recommend. Great prices for a double feature. Treats are reasonable speacially compared to a roof over your head theater. Staff was great and friendly

Hannah Rose

They have amazing food, great views, and nice big place. But, the only complaint I have is the mosquitoes. Yes, they sell repellent and stuff, but they run out pretty quickly. I think before night they should spray the area. So then there will be less misquitos. Pretty much, overall I rate it a nice place for a date, hangout, or just something to do that comes out of the boredom.

Dina Pint

Favorite summer activity to do with my kids

Terry Bemis

Most of the movies shown are family friendly. I’d personally like it if they’d have a night of good old fashioned slasher fun. Good place that allows pets

Peter Wanderdog

Great outdoor theater to take your friends, family or even a date to. Ticket prices are 9 bucks and they offer food as well as your regular movie venue snacks.

Rick Huber

Fun experience but facilities are a little dated

Nick Zander

I love the drive in experience. Huge screen the sounds play through your car radio. Food is great, big selection, and reasonable prices. Warning they use real butter for your popcorn so it will taste different than your usual movie theater popcorn, I personally don't care for it, but it's all about preference.

Glenn Balistreire

I absolutely love the Drive in Theater, it brings back memories from years ago when we would go with our aunt. I would like to see the volume turned up a little more though. That would be awesome.

Callie Andlar

Really enjoyed our experience. Great concession selection - & not horribly overpriced! However, women's bathroom was definitely neglected...like the smell made me want to puke. Buuutttttt other than that, my family & I had a fun night. We will for sure be back (just please monitor the bathrooms more often!!) :)

Matthew Eagen

Absolutely one of my favorite theaters.

Jeff Yates

Extremely dirty and it’s like going to a prison. We will never come back and we will definitely tell everyone on social media about this place.

Mary Westness

Really enjoy going to the highway 18 theater. Great food, good movies... They are in desperate need of changing their smoking policy. People smoke throughout the whole movie and there is no real policy in place that disallows it, and there are lots of kids around

Sandi Kress

No handicap bathroom is my biggest complaint. This should be listed clearly on website and was an issue for us. 2nd complaint would be that the kids working the concession stand could seriously use some "mature" adult supervision. I understand concession sales are how the business can stay open..but you simply must do better than cocky under informed teenagers. My burger I waited 20 mins for was still raw on the inside. (not rare, raw!) served on a dried up bun and fries were barely warm. Better training and supervision could remedy this. All the movies seemed too dark to see what was going on a portion of the time.

THERE IS A DRIVE IN ON RT 14, ONE IN DOOR COUNTY, ONE IN MONROE, ONE IN THE DELLS. I have gone to quite a few other since my experience here and it has all been well worth the drive to be treated like a human being. I went here 7 years ago, pregnant with my first child. At this time I did not check the website to see that carry-ins were not allowed. We brought a sandwich dinner from subway, clearly visible in the back seat when we were checking in. SO MUCH SO that before we even unpacked they came over and told us they needed to confiscate our food. OK we said, take the subs, we will get it after the movie..NOPE, they would throw it away. Ok, we will drive it home and come back...NOPE have to pay re-entry. So...basically throw away 20$ worth of food, or pay 20$ to re-enter. We left and did not come back. I emailed the owner( who the college student said swore at him when I asked to double check that we couldnt't get our food back at the end) and he was unapologetic about stealing from a pregnant woman, told me to go to another drive-in (Wasn't even contesting the no carry-in policy)and I have, and it's been wonderful. I especially liked the one in Door county, they had lots of benches in the front for cozy blankets and cuddles with my kids!

Pattie Jaeger

The first movie was good. The rest rooms were kept very clean

nick teasdale

Nice theatre, concessions are a little pricey

Paul Fidlin

This place is simply great. I Love that something like this still exists- brings back great memories of my childhood. The food is good too, so plan on eating dinner here too! Hope this place exists for a long, long time so I can continue to create drive-in memories with my own family!

Jessica Frusher

Great experience! Very cost friendly and worth every penny! Can't even compare with indoor theaters. Definitely will be making this a regular treat!

Brian Thoennes

GREAT TIME!!! WORTH THE DRIVE.WAS BACK AGAIN AND THIS TIME OVER DID IT LIKE OUR PARENTS USED TO. POPPED OUR OWN CORN.BROUGHT OUR OWN COOLER FILLED WITH SODA&WATER, SOME LOUNGE CHAIRS, AND COUPLE BLANKETS TO KEEP THE FREEZY KAT'S COMFY. THIS ALL MADE FOR THE PERFECT NITE - WEATHER WISE , MONEY WISE , AND FUN WISE. IF YOU WANT A FUN MEMORY THAT THE KID'S CAN LOOK BACK ON WHILE DAY DREAMING IN SCHOOL THIS IS A RECIPE FOR THAT. DON'T BE SURPRISED IF YOU AND YOUR BETTER HALF SMILE AND AGREE. HAVE FUN ! 5 STARS

Peter Sandroni

Used to love this place, but the teenage kids patrolling the grounds are too much. For years our 2010 Subaru Outback could park close, now we are not able to. It’s a bit of a hassle for us to get here, now it’s not worth it.

C Ebel

Sound using FM radio was terrible. Popcorn and slushies not good either.

the undead1

Nice, great experience. Decent food , decent prices. Screens nice and vivid after dark. I'll keep going

Kimberly Meitner

A great family environment! Memory making fun!

Miles Rice

What a wonderful experience! I came here with my cat to watch Pirates of the Caribbean (Pancreas) and the new Alien movie. The staff is extremely friendly and the gourmet popcorn tastes absolutely fantastic! There was some misunderstanding on my part about the no carry-in rule, but the manager Billy was super helpful and even took my food for me and offered to give it to the food pantry so I didn't have to dispose of it myself! Oddly enough there seemed to be a lot of couples and families there, however I'd recommend just showing up on your bike with your cat in your basket! I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a 5-star meal and unforgettable memories!

Angelyn Jensen

Food is so delicious! Kind of pricey

Sarah Monahan

Such a great way for us, as new parents, too go to the movies, (Baby gets to people watch at the playground and sitting on a blanket in the grass, then has a snack and sleeps in the car). There's a spot to get a burger and a beer before the show, and a spot to get popcorn, soft drinks or something from the grill. The staff in there work so hard; it's a crime they can't accept tips. The only negatives are the long snack line and the small bathrooms, (which usually have puddles on the floor- I don't recommend maxi skirts or sandals.)

Carl Jaske

Google maps takes you to the wrong side of town for the address on their site. Line to get in can get awkward since it is on a somewhat busy road. Fun experience, though. Three movies for a decent price. Late show is very late. Food was carnivally and fun.

Robert Gates

Great to have a Drive - in movie place still.

Mary Rinden

Such a neat experience and reasonably priced.

Adam Schreiner

Place is COOL

Stephanie Hannah Flitcroft

My favorite place to go with my fiance.

Ben Holden

Best place around!

Martha Manske

Great experience for out whole family. They where really nice. We read the website and knew there was no carry ins so that was not an issue. Typical movie theater food. Would recommend.

Amy Gile

We love going to the drive in.... That being said, the food needs to be fixed. They are very strict on no carry-ins but the cleanliness, quality and long lines for their food is pretty bad. I suggest eating dinner before you get there and just getting popcorn/sodas.

Dan Anderson

nice place but wish you could bring your own food

Brenda Arriaga

Could be better quality for lighting but overall it's a great place to visit

camaske

awesome costumes and sets, wonderful dancing, great singing, personable host, friendly people, characters are made real by the actors and actresses. Always a bit of comedy. Food is great! I go every Christmas. The show is never the same, but each is as good as the last.

Jennifer Rotgers

Drove an hour to get here, wasn’t aware we weren’t allowed to bring food in. So the manger came over and told us we couldn’t bring food in and gave him what we had. Once he left we realized we had more food and put it away. He came back, called us a liar (mind you I was the only adult with 5 kids) and kicked up out. Didn’t get our $60 back. We will never come back, he was so rude

Gamer Cat

Enjoyed it cant complain brings back memories of the outdoor experience. Happy there are still places like this around.

James Robert

Old time drive in theater with nicely maintained screen and grounds. The concession building is a bit dated but comes with the territory. Staff needs a better way of keeping track of orders, they give pagers but one person was waiting for 40 min for food, I waited 10 min for chilli loaded nachos. Will definitely be back!

Randy Burger

Great place! You get the national anthem, a cartoon and two movies for less than the price of the regular theater showing. You also typically a heck of a sunset before the show begins. Audio comes from the old school boxes on the poles and/or through your cars radio. Food prices are extremely reasonable and are published on their website. Food is tasty, made to order and relatively quick. I have been here a few times now and always have a great time. Kids have a blast on the playground before the show and then staying up late to watch the movies.

Amy K

We love coming here. Friendly staff, and great prices. Always a good time.

daily bates

came for the movie!! stayed for seth what a wonderful worker. he was very polite but wore sunglasses when it was dark. kinda confused but overall had a great time!!! see u later seth

Jack Staus

Sound quality outside was alright but kind of echoed, but in your car on the radio it's perfect.

Jason Sajdak

Great throwback entertainment destination. Snack bar has a decent selection and great popcorn.

Soul Sailing Hippie

I love this place. Worth a trip. Double features. People come for the whole experience with grilled and deep fried foods. Ordering is a wait but great system. Can see in the way back from the grass. Playground up front. Must see. Classic

Billy Combs

Love this place. Just as I remember drive-ins as a kid. Even the same playground equipment below the screen. Great food, except oddly the popcorn can use some help. Plenty of security with employees walking rounds to weed out any trouble makers. Great prices and a fun family night. You can use the old school window speaker, or your cars radio. We go all the time.

assilem akhcat

MAKE SURE YOU READ THEIR POLICIES BEFORE YOU GO!!! I DON'T CARE HOW FAMILY FRIENDLY YOU ARE, HOW CAN YOU NOT ALLOW FOOD TO BE BROUGHT In ?? PEOPLE ARE PAYING TO SEE THE MOVIE... WHO CARES IF YOU BRING IN YOUR OWN FOOD TO ENJOY. WAY TO MANY HARSH POLICIES, ID NEVER GO AGAIN!!

Renee Kiedrowski

Great way for families to enjoy movies like I did as a kid! My only complaint is that I wish they would spray the area for bugs, they were pretty bad. Bring repellent and enjoy!

Carl Anderson

It's too bad the owners and staff are so good at driving people away from their own venue. If we can't carry in ANYTHING, then have better concessions! Oh, and restrooms are disgusting! Not only that, the little mouthy kid who told me to tie my hatch down ( which I did twice because he didn't like the way I did it) needs a lesson in communication with patrons. He retied it a third time and was actually higher than I had it. I was so frustrated with this place, we left before the first movie was even close to over. Unfortunately my children will never know what a classic drive in theater really is. I will never come back!

Grant Reed

Feels just like my old hometown drive-in. Has a playground, concession stand, and speakers for your car (including ability to tune-in to a radio station). Price is a little high but acceptable. They do not allow outside snacks but do not interrogate you either.

Brandi Monroe

Enjoyed a night with kids watching The Lion King. It's a drive for us but always worth it

Mike smith

Awful. I really wanted to like this place. Keep in mind "no carry in policy" I waited in line for 1.5 hours to order my family 3 cheeseburgers, only to be told I had to wait another hour to have them made. I watched a family's car get "raided" over two bottles of water. They want you to wait over an hour for $4 bottles of water. Ultimately the family was kicked out. Bathrooms were disgusting. Overflowing toilets and no soap. Yuck! I missed a whole movie with my family to order food I never got. This place is a dump. If this is what drive ins have become, they deserve to be closed. It was miserable. Don't waste your money.

Wendy B

Great nostalgic feeling and they have the old box speaker for the car along with fm broadcasting. clean bathrooms and great food. 9$ per adult and you get 2 movies, great bargain and can't wait to go again

Michelle Whitefeather

Had a good night here

Shelby Davis

I always enjoy taking my family. Can't beat 9 bucks for 2 movies!

Jesse Paucek

I come here multiple times during the summer. Very well maintained and managed! I don't know many other places where you can watch 2 movies (yes, for only $9) on a giant screen while enjoying the outdoors. I like to come early and play catch with a frisbee or bring my dog and take him for a walk around the property. The staff are also very friendly and fun to talk to, not to mention very helpful. Id recommend getting the concessions early before the previews start since it gets busy around that time. All in all, great experience.

Your Personal Gardener

Prior to the movie beginning the movie theater played the National Anthem up on their movie screen. During the National Anthem the Highway 18 Outdoor Theater wrote a question mark after home of the brave. Example: Home of the brave?. I immediately sought out on site staff. The young man working stated smugly that this is correct grammar and that the owner has previously received this complaint in the past. I then emailed the company as the staff stated the owner was not available. My email to the company was sent on the night this happened which was on August 11th, 2018. The owner emailed back 19 days later stating "I should brush up on U.S. history, not to mention grammar". I have NEVER seen our great country's National Anthem show a "?" after home of the brave in any setting, whatsoever. This is an absolute disservice and in my opinion, it is the highest level of disrespect towards our amazing service members and their daily sacrifices that they make everyday for our great nation. The owner made it clear through his email to me that he will not change it and that his personal feelings are justified. I am personally disgusted that someone would go out of their way to write this about our service members. Until this is corrected I guarantee you I will never be supporting a business that is unappreciative and disrespectful towards our military and this great nation which give businesses such as Highway 18 Outdoor Movie theater the freedom to write their personal views towards our service members even if it's in a negative manner. What a sad attempt to portray patriotism through personal negative political views.

Jack Woodson

Experience was great but next time I will have to bring my own food

Vicki Weston

Pretty cool set up, but the sound could use some upgrade, was really fuzzy and cracked or just cut out when the movie got louder, even on the PM station.. kids thought it was cool

James Wright

Nostalgic feel

Jeff Pickelsimer

A great way to spend time with the family and have a piece of days gone by.

Rhonda Kisting

This is always a great night out with the kids or the family and friends. They put the new digital camera in a few years ago and that was quite costly. I think because they're seasonal, they don't offer refills on the soda and the popcorn because the concessions money goes right back into the theater. Overall this is a great place to go. There's a playground for the kids. During the weekends only, the bar right behind the theater is open. There's lots of places for the kids to play before the movie. I would bring bug spray. It's a small place so there's always a wait for the bathrooms, but for the most part, the staff is usually friendly and it's a great night out!

Amanda Ybarra

Great summer night activity.

Matt K

I love this place! Try to get there at least once every summer. Great for the family, a group of friends, or date night

Chris Smith

Ton of people and families here! Loved the movies and experience! This place is a gem to find and have. Go here and experience it yourself.

Ashley Ameen

We had a lot of fun. The prices are really reasonable compared to most theatres. Loved that our pup could come along! Just wish the mosquitos weren't so bad. We couldn't even keep our windows open

Gil Rivera

This place was a big disappointment the screen is small the movie was dark and out of focus like watching a 3D movie with out the glasses. Also the food and the popcorn was stale and bad. The service was also bad and rude. I will never be back there!!!!!!!

FiestyIrish old bag blogs

If you're going, recommend NOT taking a SUV OR PICKUP, they stick ya in the back, which sucks especially if the movie is dark, you cant see it, also they got little snitches that walk around to make sure you don't have food or drinks OTHER THAN THEIRS. BRING LOTS OF MOSQUITO SPRAY, THEY'RE VISCOUS!! The only cool thing i as if your battery dies they jump it for free

Glen Davis

it was a very cool experience it had an old fashioned playground old fashioned speakers and Old Fashioned anack bar a MUST STOP WITH THE WIFE,HUSBAND OR THE KIDS open 7 days a week foing back tonight no kids

Sam Smith

Staff was great. Brought back some great memories. Place is a bit dated but the experience was great. Food was good drive-in choices. I will be back.

M1LW FLAKO 986

Last great outdoor theater

joel rosas

Great place to take your family this place is close and convenient for me I love the food here and staff is friendly

Lee Dombeck

One of the few outdoor theaters left they do need to pay some attention to their screen maintenance

Sibylla Fox

Very nice place .. busy and well run.

jessica stempfley

The negative reviews are all from people who didn't read the policy. You get two movies for 9 bucks a person and you're upset that you can't cary in food? Eat before if its that big a deal to you. The concessions are still a better deal that you get at an indoor theatre like Marcus. I've also never had a problem with rude staff. When it's busy, a small suv is considered a large vehicle, which can kinda stink but it's still a fun experience.

Zhui Ri

Loved it! 9 bucks for two movies? You can't beat that. You also get to sit in your own car and put the seat back and relax.

T S

Great place to go and great prices!

Linda Nakalamic

Had a lot of fun! First time there. Food was decent but long line/long wait.

Mark Biefeld

Back to the 50's. Old music and outdoor movies. Kinda neat. Not as good as an indoor theatre. Can bring your dog! A plus. 3.5

Jim Meacham

Seriously fun, I mean, a drive in double feature, old school family fun and bring your dog

Jenn Balistreire

Great prices, atmosphere and sound.

Caroline Kahl

Arrived at this theater 5 minutes before 8, which is when they open. All lights were on and looked like cars were in the lot already. I was with a couple of friends, all of whom, like me, have never been to a drive in movie. We were unsure why there was nobody at the ticket booth and the gate was unlocked, so we opened it. Yes, this may not have been the smartest of our options, but no staff members were in sight to direct us. We caught the attention of two staff members who came across very rude when I was going to ask where I could pay. One man with dark hair and glasses said in a very snarky tone of voice, "The gate was closed for a reason, we don't open until 8." To which we responded with a kind thank you, and left to get back in line. Once 8 strolled around (about 30 seconds after we got back in line) we paid and found a spot. We continually received dirty looks from this staff member and snarky comments over his walkie talkie to his coworkers. We will not be returning and do not recommend this theater to anyone.

Andrea Humsik

Everything was great except the food, it was over priced and not good

Duke Ireland

Facilities are run down, a little up keep could make it nicer

tee ols

Great times!!

Skittles 420

It’s an overpriced dump with rude employees.

sarah jaeger

There were very few people here I hope it's always not like that because I'm sure they won't stay open forever if that is the case and we enjoyed ourselves very much b4 it got dark my kids went out and played on the playground area they have and threw the kite around. The 3 of us saw 2 movies 4 $16 bucks, not bad. Bring bug spray but if u forget it at home they will sell you some there.

Allison

I read the other reviews but I had no problem with anyone here...the movie was good, it did rain but we stayed and watched anyways. Ordered food and it was good. Everyone was very nice and friendly. I strongly recommend!!

Matt Boldt

Love this place great price and even the food is reasonably priced.

D R

Great old time family experience very nice place but movies are sometimes very dark and hard to see but would still recommend for wonderful family memories

Tiffany Ayala

Love the fact that you get two movies for one. And it is close by.

Bob Schwerdt

What a delightful piece of Americana! Wonderful family memories....

ema holman

A great experience but the snack area is like dingey and dirty looking and it's looked that way since I was a kid. A makeover could seriously help update the place.

Carol Marshall

It was great to go to the outdoor again, wish we had more of them.

Holly Ludeman

Been going here since I was a kid! Still love IT!

Brandon Combs

An historic gem in Wisconsin. There are not many drive in theaters is Wisconsin left. I have never had a problem or issue with my experience here. My one suggestion is to come a little earlier than you think as the very best spots are taken early.

Amethyst Begley

Drive ins are so fun. This one doesn't allow outside food or drink. The bathroom is pretty dismal and there always seems to be a line. The movies are timely. The popcorn is good. We had their fried fish and it was pretty good.

Matty Joy

Didn't see any signs about no carry ins . Brought food and got 50 dollars worth or stuff taken away with no warning . Dude worker was extremely rude . He walked by starting at us 5 times within 10 minutes when we weren't doing anything wrong . Before going I tried going online to check prices and what movies were playing and website did not work, so I didn't see that we couldn't have food . But that's my hard earned money for food and he said they'd donate to a local food pantry but because of that guy and the workers.. they're the reason people need to go to the food pantry cause they just took all my food and said I could leave without a refund . No thanks . Just made me upset. I didn't know . Didn't see signs anywhere

Matt W

Seeing two first run movies for $9 is a tremendous value and I had no qualms about the quality of the screen and sound. I understand the rationale for the no carry-in policy, but they seemed ill-equipped to handled the long lines of patrons looking to purchase concessions. Strongly recommend bringing bug spray as well. The restroom facilities were most likely last updated during the Nixon Administration.

Joel Serre

Drive-ins are great and I'm a huge proponent of supporting them. However, their strict no food or drink policy is garbage. When we went, we started waiting in line 15 minutes before showtime and we didn't get to the front of line until halfway through the first movie. If you are going to be extremely strict about people bringing their own food, then you should at least be equipped to get everyone through the line by showtime. Also, people park like idiots and then join their friends/family in other cars so if you get stuck behind a big truck that parked stupidly, you'll might not be able to see well since the lot is not elevated at all. Definitely not one of my favorite drive-ins but they have somewhat of a monopoly on it in Wisconsin.

Cassandra Jordan

Revisited my childhood memories with our former littles

melody moe

Always a great experience! So great to have an outdoor theater in the area. It's a must-do every summer!

Brett Wedekind

I was truly disappointed in the theater. The quality of the sound over the fm radio was just terrible. They don't permit carry-ins and then closed the concession stand way too early without any notice that I heard. Additionally, I had to wait 30 minutes for hot dogs! How is that even possible. They need to revisit their policy on carry-ins or change everything about their concession stand; when and what it serves, and how it operates.

Josh Crimi

Idk

Dan Hankins

The movies were great, however, be on the lookout for the cop that sits between there and Madison once you leave

Shaun Dailey

Everyone needs to check out a drive in movie at least once in their life. Just beware of all the mosquitoes. Bring some good bug spray with lots of deet in it.

Mike Strangfeld

The highway 18 outdoor theater is amazing! If you are a logical and rational person who understand and knows how to follow rules, then you're going to have a great experience! This is as clean as an outdoor theater can get with excellent food. Get there by 630 on weekends to get a great spot and stock up on your goodies from the concession stand. You will feel like you stepped back in time during the hay day of outdoor theaters.

robert gier

This place has a real classic feel. Freshly made to order food and I love that my guests can get an adult beverage if they choose.

Dustin Wales

Great family fun as always! Our 5 and 3 year olds both made it through Pets 2 AND A Dog's Journey!

Patrick Kimbro

Not like it used to be,but a great place for memories old & new. Pk

Thomas Yates

the drive in just the way you remember it. we go at least once every summer.

Amanda Berentsen

After reading the reviews I was hesitant as to if I wanted to go to Hi-way 18 drive-in because of the parking guards. We decided to try it anyways and I took a van full of 7-14 year old girls to the show. When we arrived and parked, within about 5-10 minutes a staff member approached us and asked me to move closer to the speaker pole. I was about 18 inches away, so I moved 6 inches or so closer and the staff seemed to be satisfied. Seeing that all hatchback vehicles have to be restrained to the roof line I brought bungee cords and modified my hatchback immediately as to avoid the expected staff harassment. All rules are clearly defined in the pamphlet they hand you at the entrance and they mirror the rules listed on their website. There weren't any technical difficulties making for an enjoyable show. The snack bar has an ample selection to suit almost anyone's taste buds. I like that the annex is available to serve adult beverages (I didn't check it out, I had underage kids with me). The kids were able to run around, play soccer, and climb on the playground equipment while we waited for sunset and the movies to begin. Overall, it was a fun Saturday night.

Family and I had a great time. The popcorn, for the price is a great value. The movie was bright and not dim like others are saying. The sound through FM was great. Those complaining about the sound should blame your own radio as that's where the sound is. The soda was the only bad thing as it just tasted like syrup but regardless of that it's a great time down nostalgia lane.

This place is awesome! Sure it lacks the sound of a Cineplex however it makes up for it in the price you pay to see two movies. Also, there is a playground for the kids to play and good food

Interesting theatre! I would go again when the double feature is worthwhile to me

Loved the pizza here. The screen was kinda hard to see and wish they had the outdoor speaker to put in your car so you don't have to use your car for sound but other than that the experience with my kids was priceless.

Mosquito's carry you away.... place need to be fogged... can't enjoy yourself with the bugs.

First Impression...felt like I was going to get shanked. Dirty. Discriminated against my jeep compass. They made us park in back with two or three empty rows in front of us. I tried to move and explained to them my jeep is as low as the cars next to me but refused to let me stay or talk to the manager. Toilet didn't work and someone left a floater. The bathrooms were dirty. The concession cashier was really rude. Popcorn was burnt and did not offer free refills on anything. $1.75 refill for a large $4.50 drink. It was a BAD BAD experience. They are selling the drive-in idea...not the quality.

We went for the second time and had a great time. It would get 5 stars if they updated/added more bathrooms. Popcorn was good. After reading reviews I find it funny that people complain about not bringing outside food in. This is a theater and you can't bring in your dinner or cooler to an indoor movie, so I don't see the issue. They have the rules outlined on their website clearly. It is a great value and a great time. A definite must do!

Nothing to complain about at this unique theater. The price is quite reasonable, especially if you stay for both movies. Definitely bring bug spray in the summer. They have a no outside food and drink policy, but we didn’t purchase anything anyways, so I can’t attest to the food quality. Overall the sound was great and it is a unique experience.

I had the most amazing first ever drive in movie theater experience! Thank you Hi-way 18 Outdoor Theatre! I was super nervous going because I read the bad reviews before hand but finally realized that the people complaining simply had not followed the rules. All rules are clearly defined in the pamphlet they hand you at the entrance and they mirror the rules listed on their website and they really aren't at all outrageous. The general atmosphere was great and the snack bar was awesome! Very reasonably priced with a great selection and not a long wait time. I can't wait to go again and we plan on bringing our dog :)

Julie Dropp

Everything about the movie theater aspect was great. The issue is with concessions. A 45 minute wait for a hot dog?! That needs to get reworked. You work 3 days a week. Figure it out. Its not difficult. Feel free to reach out to me for help.

The movies are good and love the laid back environment.

I love seeing movies outdoors, the screen & sound there is great & staff is very nice. Good food, drink and treat selection. Dogs allowed!! I have a few minor suggestions for the owners but you can't beat the experience for the price - 2 first run movies for still only $9.

Shawn Lingle

Good time. Sound is broadcast too loud. Radio is scratchy or distorted at any volume. Still a good time and fun to have with the family. Will go again. Wish there was one closer to visit more often in the warm months. People have no clue what etiquette is at an outdoor theatre. Not the owners fault. They try their best, and do a decent job.

Totally awesome nostalgic experience great place to take your grandkids tell him about the good old days don't tell him too much about it though if you were like me
