Best Cinema in town! Parking in parking garage can be tricky but it only costs ¢75 with a parking pass you get with your ticket. If you buy any drink or any size popcorn you get free unlimited refills. They don't have too much for concessions besides popcorn, fountain drinks, icees (also free unlimited refills), a fair selection of candy, and nachos. They have a small arcade as well. They DO NOT have an ATM so try to bring your parking money with you, the garage only accepts cash. There is a bank across the street with an ATM if you forget. All in all I really enjoy coming here and killing an afternoon.

I really like the fact of serving yourself when eating, but the seating in the theater we were in smelled weird and we paid to see a 3D movie and the glasses or the movie one or the two didn't work and the screen was all blurry, won't watch a 3D movie there again. Overall it was okay.

Nice theater, I go there often to view movies I'm interested in. Cheap in terms of a movie theater, okay staff considering they mostly hire younger folk, dated decor but I don't really mind that. I'd say my only complaint is that I feel like the theater could be cleaned better sometimes.

I attend Park Place Cinema any time I want to see a movie. It is always convinient and never over-crowded. The popcorn/refreshments are refillable and the movie tickets/food is such a fair price! The employees are insanely nice and professional. The theatres and other facilities are always clean. I love Park Place!

I love this theater's location. The employees act as if they hate their jobs completely. The popcorn tastes old and the floors never fail to be sticky. If you can get past all of this, you'll have a convenient theater to visit. Though, I would recommend going a little out of the way to Marquee or Great Escape.

This theater is kind of old and gets a bad rep, I think, but it's nice because they let you serve (and butter) your own popcorn, they have different flavors for popcorn salt (like kettle corn), and they have enough auditoriums to show many films at once. The elevator situation is kind of annoying if you're at the parking garage, but once you've done it once you know where the door is and where to go when the movie is over to get back to your car. One time a super annoying family came in with ill behaved kids who were taking flash photos of themselves in the theater and when we complained the staff actually acted on it and threw the annoying people out of the theater. That's the day I decided to keep coming back to this theater.

Refills are great and low cost. Just hate seeing the kids miss out on working behind the counter. I am not a fan of any self service retailer. Fix your own drinks and popcorn, next thing will be peddles at the seat to generate your own electricity to power the show. My wife had a good laugh with the seating in the theater. They will fold you in half if you are short.

Its was a rather negative experience. They over charged me and I have to go in Monday to get my money back. The lady at the concession stand also didn't know what she was doing and caused my card to be blocked. She swiped it too many times and my bank sent me a text and email asking about fraudulent charges. All around bad.

I love going to the movies. My wife and I usually go to park place because it's close to home and they got great snacks. This place is relaxing, friendly staff, great cinematic sounds, and they serve cherry coke. We enjoy this place and recommend it to anyone who wants to relax and watch a movie.

Would be nice of parents were not allowed to bring toddlers to horror films. Had to leave and get a refund because an approximate 4 year old was brought to see Pet Semetary. They did give the refund but I wish a policy was in place to prevent this

Pretty good movie theater. Stadium seating, good sound, and average projection. Reasonable prices on tickets and typically overpriced concessions. Parking easily available in the building and it's cheap if you've bought a ticket - just be sure to ask for the discount coupon at the box office.

Fairly comfortable movie theatre in downtown Charleston. Parking garage nearby. They will likely show more artsy kinds of films that won't play at the urban screens. Caught up on some Oscar contenders here that weren't playing anywhere else.

The prices are not only lower than the competition, but you can butter/salt/powder cheese your own endless popcorn in any size you choose to buy. The free refills also apply for the drinks, including the icee which is the same price as the soda/tea. The seating is standard stadium style with comfortable reclining seats that have folding arm rests with the standard cup holders cup holders. Screens, projection and audio quality are great. I've found that at during the times that I've gone, crowding has not been an issue and my visits have been quite pleasant. Parking is available at municipal parking in the same building and getting a picket from the ticket counter will grant you .75¢ parking upon exit.

Favorite Cinema in Charleston. The ticket prices are a tad bit lower than other theaters. Check out their website to see special pricing for certain days/people. It's nothing short of any other movie theater I have visited. It's also quiet and typically there's no large crowds! Score!! In addition, there is a decent little arcade.

Great value, but concessions are just okay. Popcorn isn't fresh. It's kept in huge bins they say are emptied and refiled each day, but I doubt it. Also, don't forget your rewards card, as they won't add your points later.

Park Place Stadium Cinema isn't the newest or the best Movie Theatre, but is conveniently located downtown off the interstate. The staff are friendly and helpful. What is neat is if you pay the price for popcorn and/or drink(s), they are self serve (go back for more), with butter and a variety of flavorings for the popcorn! The areas are clean and we'll maintained. I always enjoy seeing a movie here.

Of the three theatres in the area, I think the seats are most comfortable here. It's slightly cheaper than the other two, but being downtown, you're probably going to pay for parking. It's only 75 cents to park at the adjacent garage though. The self serve popcorn and soda stations were a novel idea, but if I'm paying that much for popcorn, they could at least fill the bag for me...the popcorn dispenser machine doesn't always work great anyway. But they keep the place clean and the staff is nice.

If you want movie theater popcorn go here. It's unlimited and self serve so you can use all the butter and seasoning you want. Seats are fairly comfortable, not the best but way better than Marquette. If you go on a week night the theater is likely to be empty for a movie that's been out for more than a week

My girlfriend and I go to movies at Park Place Cinema a couple times a year. The staff is always extremely nice & friendly. They have a decent game room for you and the family to play in while waiting for the movie to start. They also have all you can eat Popcorn, Drinks, Nacho's and Ice's that are all self serve.

It was a surprise to find that the theater doesn't use 4k projectors, which are the standard everywhere else. This was disappointing when we went to watch a high-tech movie, that looked like 720. I'd be surprised if was even 1080. It was rather dim, not a lot of contrast and color. Sure, the seats are good, the popcorn cheap, but wow, it's 2018 - TIME TO UPGRADE THE PROJECTORS! (It's all about the movie.)

Hands-down the BEST theater in the area. The pricing of the concessions doesn't even really matter for the most part since if you order a drink, slushy, or popcorn, you get unlimited free refills! Just be aware that it is in a sketchy area.
