Delightful! We rented a screen for birthday party. Helpful staff, great location, great prices.

Oscar Gilchrist Mercado

Small, for sure, but clean and very warm atmosphere. Great to see that a small theater like this is able to stay open for the community and show smaller and older movies.

Corvus Woolf

Steve Elliott

I like this place... Old School theater experience!

Laurie Shourd

Fun movie experience for independent film viewing. Excellent popcorn!

Full disclosure, I was part of resurrecting this place 2007-2010 when it was known as The Historic Orchard Theater. When we closed and it became The Dragonfly, I was sad to see it go in the direction it did. Fast forward to another ownership change and this place is absoutely KILLING IT. The new owner, Nick, and his manager, Byron, and their crew have created the premiere cinema experience in the area. I saw The Room for the first time there, and one of the coolest parts about it was the owner and crew where seated behind me yelling at the screen with everyone else. These guys love movies and it shows. If YOU love movies you need to get down to Bay Street and support them! Great deals if you join their VIP, real butter on the popcorn, and movies you won't see anywhere else! Well done, guys!

I live in Seattle, but I'll drive all the way to Dragonfly Cinema. I love this place, I love their showings. Their Miyazaki series is by far my favorite! Seeing those great Animes in their original 35 mm film format is an incredible experience!

This place took me back, in time that is. Back to the pre-digital age, when movies were on reels and popcorn wasn't $10 for a bucket. I really enjoyed sitting back and listening to the frames clicking by and waiting for them to turn the sound up and the lights down. Don't get me wrong I like HD digital media as much as the next guy but something about being in an old funky (cute) theater that had reasonable prices and what we now consider ancient equipment made me feel a little old, a little melancholy and a lot good. If you want to feel nostalgic, this is the place to do it. Prices are great, service is excellent and the place is just fun to be at. Also I love the fact that they give free admission to Active Duty Military in an effort to thank them for their service and I respect and love the heck out of that (and no, I'm not in the military anymore).

Mark Hayden

Cute theater with an eclectic variety of movies. The popcorn was tasty and they have a plethora of toppings to spice it up your way. The theaters and screens are smaller than what I'm accustomed to and they reminded me of ones I went to in the '70s.

Izzy Lotz

Mark Mann

Fun place to take the kids.

Love the theater. Opportunities to see independent films, staff is always very kind and the best popcorn in town!

Bruce R Cordell

I came to Port Orchard for a small film festival hosted here, and I wasn't disappointed. Two small screens, tons of short films, and a wonderful time all around. Many of the films were exceptional, including the Ruxpins, which fittingly won Best Northwest Film from the festival.

Corey Thuringer

Nice break from overpriced movie theaters.

Vicki Zielen

Absolutely love this old time theatre. Keep history alive!!

Rosemary Pinneo

Hard to hear show, but very good staff and nice environment.

Street parking for a local theater run by volunteers. They show movies but also fund raising productions. I have rented one side of the facility in the past for a birthday and it worked out well. We need a place like this so I encourage support. They showed a series of informational Beatle talks that brought customers over from Seattle.

I love this independent historic theater. Just finished watching a very poignant I'm Not Here with Sebastian Stan and J.K. Simmons. The service is great and the popcorn delicious with many topping options. Going to the Dragonfly is always a great time.

Leah Spaulding

Movie theater was absolutely freezing. Some regulars that were there had blankets and heavy coats on so it seems like that is the norm.

Bert Convey

A secret place to step back in time and see a old cool movie with the best popcorn around. Please support this great little theatre past up the the big movie house and make it a memorable evening. With a restaurant right next door and a pub right down the street what more do you want. Tuesday I believe it's cheaper. Here's another reason and a good one active military, firefighters and policeman get in free you need to support this place for that reason alone.

Dragonfly is are favorite theater to go to! So worth the drive from Auburn! The staff are absolutely amazing! The theater is very very well maintained for a vintage theater! The experience is as good as the movie! They have such a unique select of movies they show that you won't see anywhere else. Their pip corn is some of the best out there! Their ticket and concession prices are perfect! The seats are surprisingly very comfortable for it being all original! We truly enjoy going there every chance we get!!

Great filming options. Can usually find good movies that are outside the Hollywood norm. Popcorn is good. Seats are a bit old.

Tricia Siburg

Love the intimate feel and the off the main line movies they show.

Zanna Rank

Nice small theater that shows a lot of independent films and hosts fun movie centered events. I love this theater.

Joshua Perry

Small space, but friendly service and a great selection of movies.

Alonna Watson

We went to the minion event. Kids were supposed to be free. But we were charged. Not sure what the issue was. Popcorn with real butter is delicious.

Samuel Leckron

My first time visiting this cute little theater. It was for two of my friends birthday party/ going away party. They rented one side of the theater and we played our own films and tv shows. Such a great idea for lots of friends to get together rather than pack in a tiny apartment. The Popcorn was wonderful. They have so many choices of flavors and toppings to put on it i was a little overwhelmed but I managed to pick something that hit my fancy. I highly recommend considering Dragonfly Cinema for your event.

Jeff Quinn

Great be independent films and cool flashback films.

mason person

they play awesome classic movies sometimes, and indie films the rest of the time. cool place with friendly staff and great popcorn. they do seem to have a lot of sound issues, not a deal breaker, but definitely annoying at times. otherwise i can't say enough good things about this place.

Alex Busch

I visit for their monthly Rocky Horror viewings. It's fun every time!

Chlorine Knight

Great staff and a great set up

Scott Green

Awesome classic theater. Real butter on the popcorn. We were there for a private party rental of the space and can't say enough good things about the staff and how smoothly our suprise party went. Would highly recommend to friends or family looking for an old school feel or anyone who wants a private theater movie party.

Roseanne Murphy

A little run down but nice employees make up for it. Very quaint. Feels like a blast from the past. Nice hometown feel. Nice place to enjoy movies without a huge crowd.

Dave Clark

This is NOT the Cinema 1000 multiplex. It's a cozy, quiet and quaint 2 screen theater off the waterfront of Port Orchard. The staff truly know their movies and you can purchase yearly VIP passes for discounts on movies and events.

Krumsick

Very community driven, very nice staff. And supports local filmmakers. We hosted a Charity even back in 2016 that sold out and raised alot of money with there help.

Ian Reed

Amazing small old school feel. lots of fun showings if you love the Rocky Horror Picture Show the first weekend of every month they have a shadow cast showing go have fun.

This place is great! Little independent place with two screens that runs stuff not in the big chains. Great popcorn.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience during our vacation in the Olympic Peninsula, catching a hilarious movie (The Greasy Strangler) at the Dragonfly Cinema in Port Orchard. The popcorn is definitely special and this theater is a gem that the locals should be proud to keep going.

Ashley Kahlo

This is a fantastic little theater....and yes their pop corn is delicious!!

Nice old timey feel.

Came in yesterday to see Home Alone for free (they got their money from us at the concession counter though, lol). The kids and myself had a great time seeing a classic movie from my childhood. It’s an old theater but the staff is very friendly and it’s a historic site that has a rich history in the community. I hope to see it around for years to come. Keep up the good work guys!

Dorian DesLauries-Stollar

Saw some Rocky horror picture show, Great cast, great employees. Highly recommend coming here to any new comers. Will definitely go to that theater again.

Corinne La Fors

They have the Rocky Horror Picture Show on the first weekend of every month. Also, the girl Amy that works there is super awesome.

Sierra Rowan

They have the best popcorn and show the oddball movies that people love. Their midnight showings are always fun.

Taire Hanshaw

Really nice place they got here. Always filming smaller or indie movies. A very niche place to go at the Waterfront area in Port Orchard. Their popcorn is good too and they have a ton of seasonings to choose from. Theatres are small, but not freezing like most theatres.

Lori Huser

Dragonfly always has those movies out of the norm or old movies you want to see again. Best popcorn with butter and the prices don't gorge your pocketbook. Too bad more people don't take advantage of the theater.

Sean O'Neil

Places like this need to exist.

Great place...good selection of current and retro movies...great pop corn!

Love this local Gem. To give it 5 stars would be an insult to it's charm, character, and comfortable sense of home. Who FEELS those things in a 5 star movie megacinaplexorama with a full bar/menu/private server and extra wide climate controlled electric leather recliner. Get some popcorn and dig into a documentary, or an old favorite, a true classic, an interesting indie, or even that block buster you wish you hadn't waited to get to Netflix's....or DVD....(VHS....how old am I... Where's my Hollywood Video card). Come enjoy the fun. Relax. You'll be glad you did.

Small, historic theater. Shows indy films other theaters won't. Also has regular Rocky Horror Picture Show, similar events, and live music on occasion.

Rachelle Rose

Support this amazing local business and the excellent variety of films that they show! Here you will find everything from independent films to fun cult classics to big Hollywood blockbusters. You are often invited to attend special film events in costumes inspired by the movies. (Labyrinth, anyone?) We recently saw the one-night-only engagement of the Joan Jett documentary on date night a while back and had such a great time. There was even a fun raffle drawing before the film. The snacks and refreshment stand in the lobby are equally excellent. The popcorn has its own bar with all kinds of toppings to help yourself to. This is not your average corporate cinema crud. Dragonfly and its staff are true gems in Port Orchard. Go there!

Mel Dalton

Locally owned, independent cinema. We rented it for a birthday party and everyone had the best time! Staff is friendly and helpful, location is great. Parking across the street or on side streets nearby. Bathrooms are NOT accessible - that's the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5.

Suzie Holley

This little theater shows some unusual and interesting films!

Jennifer Faloon

Cute retro theater ! Kids party ,everyone had fun, nice people.
