Here you have all the feddbacks of people who are using the products and services of Regal Virginia Center (Movie Theater) in the area close to the state of Virginia.
At the moment the firm has a rating of 4.0 over 5 and the rating has been calculated on 1613 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is quite good, and it's founded on a very high number of opinions, so we can think that the rating is very credible. If many people have bothered to leave their opinion when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to set reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Movie Theater is classified in the category of Movie theater.
Nice staff... good experience
Movie theater and restrooms were very clean, concession staff friendly. Theater itself seemed understaffed though. We had to seek out the manager to start the movie after the previews (10 min delay) and then after it began someone had to …
Nice clean shopping center
Seats are not good. some seats are giving bad smell, as they started seat reservation, can't choose better seat. please take care of this
Was not expecting such teeny, tiny theaters, but a decent place to see a movie. Friendly staff.
Theater is very nice & great customer service!
Nice and clean. Very comfortable seats.
They now have reserved seating which is a major inconvenience. They have also removed the ropes that organized the lines for purchasing tickets and snacks. Now it’s utter chaos when you are trying to find the beginning of any line. The teenagers that work as “cast-members” (What is this, Disney?) have no people skills and can’t even seem to speak with the customers in a business like manner. It’s like they have some new manager who is making unnecessary changes just to justify their new position. We won’t be coming back to this theater.
Always enjoyed this theater. Now they have seating charts though. You have to pick where you sit when you get a ticket. Started going to the one that has not updated to this.
I've gone here so many times. The place is excellent.
Theater seemed clean was a plus but ended up waiting over 30 minutes for movie tickets and snacks, granted it was a Friday night at 7:15 but we showed up and were in line with 10 minutes to go till our show time. Concession stand employees move without a purpose was the primary problem.
On a good note the lower staff seemed nice. Upper management not so much. I didn't appreciate the concession supervisor cutting my date off in mid sentence. Besides the latter the place is okay- a movie theater that served its purpose
Good movie and ok service, they forgot our small popcorn and the movie had already started.
Went to see the premier of Lion King. I love this theater. Make sure you download the Regal app for freebies!
Sloth service at the Refreshments. They take a hell lot of time to bill and deliver snacks. Cost a lot too. Even with a huge long queue they do not even try to rush. Keeps the same pace. 1.8 Fl Oz Dasani for $5 and change. All this before the movie starts. Exorbitant price for a small screen size. Around 90 seats altogether in Screen 16 for $11. Too much
Biggest movie of the year, a line out of the door, and they have one person working the register. And then they charged double for tickets.
Today we stay on the line for about 30 min. and we decided not to go to the movie because our movie will be start to the time we purchased our tickets.
I will NEVER go to this place again . The man was rude and we were racially profiled. The only good thing I got out of this was a easy refund . Not to mention that the theaters are ridiculously small and the place is not well maintained
Though I have had a pretty neutral experience with your cinema, Mr. Owner I find it very poor business taste to not address, both compliments AND complaints as well, those who do not glorify you with kisses are the very ones in certain …
Theater was clean and the staff courteous. The theater lost power for about 30 minutes during the movie. The staff could have handled it better but refunds were offered to people who wanted to leave.
Nothing like going to a 7:45 movie (posted everywhere as such) only to be told at the ticket counter that the movie had been changed to 7:00 P.M. Absolutely terrible!
The service in this place is amazing, thank Kira Owen for your service
Saw a movie here with my perfect-for-me wife, on a whim. It was a good movie. Good movie joint I guess.
They have gone to reserve seating for all showings. I guess it makes sense at certain times, but in general I think it's a bad idea.
The management & staff are always friendly & helpful. The main lobby, bathrooms, & individual theaters are presentable & clean. The #1 reason why I continue recommending VA CNTR 20 in particular is the wide variety of films they show. There's always something to choose from that will excite all forms of moviegoers.
Treated horribly, staff and security all need to be retrained on their customer service. The treatment was absolutely sad and disappointing. The rest of my party and I felt uncomfortable when speaking to staff. The staff was very rude and not helpful when asked a question. Other than that the film and theater was fine.
Great movie place
It's an older theater so it is little worn down but the customer service was good, food was good, and the seats were comfortable. Best part is that it's a little less busy than some of your theaters in Scott's Addition or Short Pump.
Horrible Experience ! Bathrooms smelled like pee! Rude people watching the movie! No usher ever came through to check on movie! Will NEVER go back to that theater!
Always good take my son to see what every he want to see
Great to pick your seats when purchasing tickets.
It's an aging facility but they do a decent job of keeping it maintained and clean. The theaters are all stadium seating and the projectors and sound systems have all been updated to the latest tech. This theater still gets all the new major releases. It also shows a lot of Bollywood films. It's too bad the mall next to it is a crumbling ghost town, but this theater still serves its purpose versus having to battle Broad St traffic to get to the other west end locations.
Great place, if you are looking for a place to go for a date night or a family outing this is the theater to go to. Its very clean and to top it off they have security to make you feel safe..
Needs a make over and too many kids left without adult supervision that don't know how to behave.
Here the manager and the crew
Good place to go see a movie nice concession options and good screens/rooms
Theatre complex was not very clean. Hallway going to #7 smelled like sewage. My entire group noticed it. You couldn't help but notice it. NASTY.
Do not go on premier nights! They have assigned sitting on those nights, where you can choose to sit and then you have ignorant people who scream out rudely during the movie. That's not why I gave 3 stars tho. Yall couldn't help the ride customer actions. My 3 stars is from management being low staffed on premier nights. The staff did well with what they had to work with, but I could feel the pressure for them.
My wife and I took our grandson to see a movie while he was on Christmas vacation, had a great time, cinema was very clean, we'll set up and staff were very professional and personal.
The popcorn on the ground was great! Really clean place almost didn't know it was from the floor! Even tricked my friends
Regal Cinema's requirement that you have to choose an assigned seat when purchasing tickets is the MOST IDIOTIC thing ever. This doesn't work when you're meeting up with friends or family and everyone's arriving and buying tickets separately. I will now go elsewhere (to Regal's competition) or simple wait to catch movie on DVD.
The concessions were slow and the seating needs an upgrade.
I have been here mostly to watch Indian Bollywood movies. It's a decent theatre overall for a movie night every now and then. It could use some upgrades in terms of sound quality and seats. As an avid movie goer, comfort and sound are the two things that matter the most.
Theater interior should improve a lot Especially seating
I went to a late viewing. Three cinema was quiet & clean. I hadn't been to this cinema in over 10 years so the seats are upgraded and fairly comfortable. Sound quality is amazing.
Very clean, freindly, and spacious. A great place to see a movie with family.
Nothing to write home about lol
It was great. The movie was great and the theatre wasn't crowded at all.
Customer service was tops. Chelsea at the snack bar had a great attitude. It was a breath of fresh air to actually get exceptional customer service at somewhere other than Chick Fil La. The theater itself is dated but very well …
This Regal has gone downhill over the last five years. It is always messy, the bathrooms aren't very clean usually, and everything is very outdated. It looks like nothing has been touched in over ten years. I have to say, they do offer showings here like Miyazaki films that other Regals don't, so I do come for those. It is simply okay, I wouldn't reccomend it unless they have a special showing.
Enjoyed the experience very much.
Seat layout was disappointing. Not good for group of more than 2. We had 3 and had to split up Great if you are going alone I guess
Small theater with small concession with long wait but employees are very nice
I did not like their new system of purchasing the tickets at the concession stand...very annoying
Watched rhe Avengers Endgame on Monday afternoon and the show wasnt sold out at all. Prices ate expensive for me for candy and bottled water. Best to eat bedore movies or after if you're working within a budget. Chairs dont recline at all and theater was clean.
Assigned seating now. Ok but kinda annoying. Other than that great night!
Nostalgic of my childhood.
The front sign is broken so it gives it a slightly sketchy vibe. The lines were long so we used the self check out kiosk but it is not easy to see right away. The lobby was a little gross but that seems pretty normal for most theatres. The …
Kind of disappointed that security or staff isn’t in theaters to tell people to put their phones away. Almost every time i go to see a movie, even when the theater is basically empty, someone has to pull their phone out in the middle of the movie. I know it’s nothing the staff can control, it’s just annoying, and last time i went to see a movie with a full theater tons of teenagers were pulling their phones out turning on their flashlights.
I was greeted courteously and given good service (from ticket usher to concession employee), bathroom was in fair state; theater # 19 was comfortable and relatively clean. Yes, this is an older theater with limited options for food ( just drinks & snacks), so good advice is to eat meal prior to coming, then dessert on popcorn and the like. I suspect that ticket prices are high bc it's taking advantage of proximity to DC. (I'm just thankful that Va Beach hasn't followed RIC Regal's example. That would be the end of my entertainment discretionary money)
Tue is a great discount dayfor popcorn & senior pricing up to 4:30
Polite staff, good choices of movies.
For an older theatre, Regal Cinemas 20 is just as good as any other Regal Theatre location. The popcorn (albeit pricey), is the best theatre popcorn I've had to date. Very rarely are there any crowds even on premeir nights, so this is the optimal location to watch a movie.
The hallways where dirty and dark. The seats are old but comfortable.
Enjoyed myself the staff was very nice and helpful .
Hot inside, needs a steam clean, old style seats.
We were incorrectly given tickets to Angel Has Fallen instead of The Farewell, which we didn't realize until the movie started because THERE ARE NO SIGNS OUTSIDE THE SCREENS! IS IT THAT HARD TO PUT THE NAME OF THE MOVIE ABOVE THE DOOR TO THE AUDITORIUM?
I would have given 5 stars, but the 20 minute wait for food and snacks is ridiculous. Should have more staff behind the counter. There's nothing over the top here, that we couldn't get from any other theater.
It was clean....but the seats were quite uncomfortable and I wish that you could butter and salt your popcorn by yourself because they take forever.
Older theater that is really showing its age. Small theater setting than most newer venues with a smaller than normal screen and not the best sound or acoustics. Bonus is they have more than one concession area but that is not advertised.
Good but could use newer and bigger seats.
Needs more drink choices. Arcade area needs updated to attract more customers
It's clean but other than that it's showing its age. I remember this theater 15 years ago and in fairly certain that the building is still wearing the same coat of fading paint and the same carpets inside. The staff does an excellent job here. Menu boards in concession area have very small font and are hard to read for that reason.
Regal cinema has made it so when you buy your tickets now you have to pick your seats on a screen before you go into the theater instead of choosing what seat you want when you enter the theater, I dont like this and will just go to a different theater from now on.
Friendly conncession clerk. Drinks and candy fresh. Reserved seating can put new visitors behind tall bars, an annoying distraction as they are in view of the screen. Not sure if it was just the fathom auditorium set up that way. The bars made all seats on right side useless. I wasn't crazy either because (I would assume regulars) knew to pick seats on the left. Also would have been nice if management took my feedback seriously. Update: Adding + 1 stars for the great job guy in charge did today preparing for advance screening. Sponsors didn't show, but he kept everything under control by starting a line then letting people in using a clicker.
The theater was nice and clean. Pricey but what theater isn't
I will not go to this movie theater again. My husband I decided to go to a movie that started at 7:40. We arrived at 7:30. When we arrived the ticket booth was closed and they asked people to use the kiosk or the concession stand. We first did the kiosk because the concession lines were very long. After 10 minutes of waiting at the kiosk for people to decide on and review all the movie options I stepped out of line. I waited another 5 minutes in the concession line for it to be my turn for an old lady to come out of nowhere and say she was standing in line. It’s now 7:55 15 minutes into the movie and we have missed the beginning and paid full price for everything. I will not go back to this movie theater. They truly do not have customers best interest at heart. At least if they had of had one dedicated concession line to movie tickets only we would have been able to move faster. Or maybe tell customers you need to come 45 minutes early to the theater to get tickets.
Kids had a good time
Have been going there for 20 years, I'm not aware of anything that has improved or changed in that time, maybe some behind the scenes technical things. Prices have changed (increased) for sure. Convenience fee when buying tickets online, $18 for medium drink, medium popcorn and a box of candy. Dirty bathrooms, maybe it's better the auditoriums are dark... I'll further decrease my going to the movies rate. Thanks Regal.
I've been to worse movie theaters, but occasionally this one really screws up. Tonight they didn't switch on the satellite uplink when our special event was starting. We missed the entire pre-show and the movie started 20 minutes late. On the bright side, we didn't have to sit through 15 stupid movie trailers before the event started.
Lost my ticket! Management was great!! Seats are so comfortable, sound is great restrooms conveniently located. Roomy for wheelchairs.
Very nice movie theater but I don't often go to the movies.
This place has really gone down hill...I hope they do a facelift soon but the mall is dying so I doubt it... sad to see.
I like coming here they have a lot of space for parking when you’re running late for a movie
Fun times! Great theater to watch a movie.
Pretty good theater. Lots of screens.
Nice theater. A lot of foreign films here, but they also have the latest greatest titles. Popcorn and sodas are good. Armed guards usually on duty, maybe the area is a bit sketchy? Staff is usually friendly and engaging. Usually clean seats, they have gone from general admission to reserved seating. Still getting used to that. It is our closest theater and our go to place to catch a movie.
Annabelle comes home was the best scary movie i have seen in a very long time! Well worth going to see.
Popcorn was bad. Seats were dirty and old. Definitely need an upgrade in that theater.
Sitting here outside the theater. Doors looked 15 minutes before it says my movie starts. No one answering the phone. Employees just walking around. Nice job. Hope you don't plan on people to come back when your ready to open the doors.
I like being able to choose my seating.
Friendly staff & Love being able to choose our seats when we buy our tickets!!
Nice theatres, great sound. Slow ticket counter, crazy slow concession stand.
It was my first time to go to this cineplex. I liked it. It was clean & quiet, maybe it was early Monday afternoon. The seats were comfortable & well situated, the screen visible from any seat. 'Twas a little loud but...
Facility was clean and ticketing was quick and friendly. Concessions was another story it was messy and the kids working it were the slowest and most disinterested looking group I have seen in a long while 30 minutes for a bag of popcorn and some Jr. Mints. Theater was ok but chairs are not as comfortable as others in the area and dont lean back at all.
The price of movies today has pushed me to watch them at home. Between the rediculous ticket prices and the outrageous concession prices it's a dam shame! Luckily you have the millennials that know no better so good luck with that!
Wonderful viewing of Toni Morrison documentary! Had a VIP experience at the early afternoon show. Just my neighbor n me!
cool
This was the premiere movie theater in Richmond back in VCC's heyday. These days VCC is a shell of it's former glory and other newer theaters have surpassed it. The place really could use some renovations, it's basically the same at was 20+ ago. With that said it does have a lot of screens and thus quite a bit of selection. The popcorn/snacks are expensive as you'd expect. If you like Bollywood films (I don't), then this the movie theater for you as they tend to show them more than any other movie theater in town, so they got that going for them. The service is good (at least it's better than Bowtie, even though I generally perfer Bowetie to the Regal VCC theses days as it's a nice place IMHO.), but as mentioned before the facility hasn't seen an update since the late 90's early 2000's, and the mall it shares the site with isn't a place that you'd really want to go after dark.
No reclining seats. Slight odor in theater 16
This is an older style, small theater. Nothing fancy, but the seats were comfortable and it was clean. Fine for watching a movie.
The movies look great and the snacks and popcorn though a bit pricy are really good and the arcade is fun
The most important thing you need to know is that the popcorn is good. Other than that it's just a normal small Regal. Not one of the luxury theaters. The movie we went to see wasn't listed on the front sign thing I guess because it's only matinee but my point is if they put the showtime online and don't have it on the sign it's okay.
Took my 2 year old and my 6 year old nonverbal ASD to see toy story 4. Friendly staff and clean theater.
Has good screens and reserved seating..!! One of the places airing international movies..!!
My wife and I really enjoyed it. The Intruder was great.
I visit this place every week to watch a movie. Excellent
Went during the day and there were no lines and employees were great
Regal is such great to place to see movies. Regal 20 is little far away from my home but we would still drive to watch the movies. Mostly we go to regal 20 to watch any regional movies. Becoz near my home there is another regal cinemas and i watch the movies over there as well. In a month we watch max of 3 to 4 movies and we have been going to regal for last 5+ years....
Excellent venue.. Awesome
Awesome theater lots of movies and friendly staff will come again
Convenient location; friendly staff; cleanliness was not a plus here, needs a facelift and better cleaning service
Com on! It's REGAL . THE best. Love the diversity of films.
We came out to see a movie late and after a long day. We came early being it was a brand new movie and it just so happened the staff was still cleaning the theater while we sat down. A staff member Ben was nothing but kind and had a conversation with us. Great customer service i would say.
Always a great movie theatre to enjoy! Facility stays clean. Student discounts on weekdays are a nice perk too!
I got to thank this theater a million times for being the only one showing Teen Titans Go! To The Movies for my birthday last year on 9/21/18. Though I found the theater rooms to be VERY small. The screen size is quite decent though for the room size. Could use some upgrading.
Good movies good life
A lil old but glad it's being upgraded, now lets talk about getting the other snack stand in the back up & running so the front isn't packed.
Very busy. Felt unsafe. Security is armed.
Popcorn doesn't taste as good as other regal theaters in the area, chairs do not recline like many others and building is starting to feel old. No crowds and lots of showtimes though.
Nice theatre, would appreciate more snack options in the morning.
For some unknown reason they have recently started doing reserved seating . This is terribly inconvenient for large parties as the staff has no clue what they're doing . This has caused longer, slower lines. Add insult to injury we had to wait in line for a man at the ticket window to send us to wait in a different line because he's "not a manager" and can't help us with seating . After nearly missing the start of the movie we walk into a theater that's nearly 2/3 EMPTY! They put us through a bunch of hassle about seating in a nearly empty theater! Ridiculous and unacceptable ! This has been my theatre of choice for over 10 years because of it's proximity to my home, however driving an extra 20 minutes will be worth it to NEVER have to deal with with this disorganized, chaotic theater again. They've ruined the moviegoing experience and honestly deserve ZERO stars !
Seats are very bad. No recliner on any seats .. back pain
I love this location since it's not too crowded and has nice people.
The theater was good as well as the employees. The women restroom need to be cleaned.
Very comfortable. Clean a d the staff was professional courteous and friendly!! We really enjoyed being there. Thank you for such a beautiful experience !
Hottest day of the year. At 4:50 the lobby was packed with people trying get tickets. 8 ticket windows but only 2 employees. And this not the first terrible experience here but it is the last!
Like always and every theater, the prices for the food are extremely too high!!!!! It was almost $6 bucks for a bottle WATER!!!!!!!!!!!
This theater continues to shine despite it's location. Be careful as you enter, VCC no longer paves, but after that it's smooth sailing. Still have nice screens.
Fun took 3 great grandchildren
Great theatre! Comfortable and clean. Concessions were a little slow considering they weren't very busy. Always my theatre choice in RVA.
Not the best experience. The staff were being unreasonably harsh on a couple of 17yr olds that wanted to see a movie. I guess someone didn't have an I'd so they wouldn't let them through unless they were with someone 18. I asked them a few questions and told them they could come I with my bf and I who are both 25. We were asked several questions about whether we knew them or not. The police even got closer. For what? Soooo unnecessary and unprofessional. The kids were even holding their tickets. They never let them back and I feel like that sucks. You make most of you're money off of these young kids and I'm sure no one can pick out trouble makers but it rubbed me so wrong. That man was so unruly to those kids. Ignorance. Absolute ignorance. Do better. Other than that the movie was great and seating was comfortable.
Place is great, welcoming staffs too . chairs are not comfortable. They have very less items in their food menu .
Everyone is very nice. Here's what I don't understand about Regal...all Regal cinemas...why are you forever out of all food except popcorn and candy? Is this a business strategy to cut cost on wasted food? I thought concessions were how …
Was pleasantly surprised that this cinema seems to be hanging in there. I remember a day when watching a movie here was filled with cell phone conversations and laser pointers all over the screen. This movie was enjoyable with one …
New pre picked seating is only a good idea for those packed movies. I don't like how you don't know if you've gotten stuck behind a tall person or beside 6 kids. Today the popcorn was flavorless and the concession stand employees were too busy complaining about customers complaining about the new seating. Maybe time to change up theaters.
Nice place to go to to watch a movie. The popcorn is good and cost-friendly. The seats are comfortable and it's relaxing.
Nice clean theater with friendly, helpful staff. The sound is good and screens are larger than some other local options. A nice option is that now you can actually reserve specific seats. Bonus!
