If you haven't seen a movie at Scotia Cinema your missing out. Just $5 for an adult ticket and reasonably priced snacks make this theatre an affordable night out. The seats are comfortable, it is clean and well maintained. Staff are great. Loved it!

Great theater. Clean, and cheap. Good for taking the kids to a movie, or seeing a second run of something myself. If I'm not sure about a movie, I always wait to see it here myself. Even the prices for popcorn and soda are reasonable.

You can't beat the ticket prices at Scotia Cinema. They have reasonably priced snacks too along with their signature charming atmosphere. All you need is a little patience as you wait until the movies come to the theater, but patience is a virtue so it's a win win.

If a movie you want to see is coming here, this is where you want to see it. This is a true old style movie theatre like some of us are old enough to remember from our youth. The price is as right as it gets for movies, and the theatre is comfy in the true sense of the word. Sorry I know it's trite but that is what it feels like. The popcorn is made fresh there with real salt and butter, I do not like popcorn but I expect this is definitely better than what's in the big movie theatre chains. You don't always luck out with what they show but they start revealing their "coming soon" shows about 1–2 weeks in advance.

Went to Scotia Cinema recently. I Always love going to Scotia Cinema. The staff are always welcoming, the movies are always enjoyable. I go often with my family and friends. As well as for date nights with the Mrs. Another great addition is that their snack prices are unbeatable. How awesome is that? I would go anytime with family friends or the Mrs. Would recommend to anyone who is visiting to Check out what they are playing at Scotia Cinema.

I think we can all agree the place is totally affordable and overall awesome! Staff could be a bit friendlier but hey It is always clean, comfortable and the prices are great! They have a good array of candy and soda. The popcorn is always on point! I love nachos and I am always disappointed with the cheese for the nachos though...its never warmed up and gooey the way It should be. But a soda and a popcorn will do!

Very comfy seats. And with $5 tickets, how can you go wrong? The movies might be out awhile before they have them there, but, who needs to fight crowds? All seats are pretty good to see the screen. Popcorn and drinks reasonably priced as well. Quant theater, would highly recommend.

This place is AMAZING. I went there for the 1st time this past weekend to see a movie w/ my son. Not only is the staff super friendly, the environment is safe, clean and family friendly. I would recommend getting there a little early, because it does get a little crowded (i.e getting tickets/ parking etc). However when the prices are as low as advertised then it's understandable.

The Scotia Cinema is without a doubt one of the best movie theaters to enjoy a movie without being inundated and deafened by a speaker system turned up to 11+. Having a second run theater like this one is not only a great place to bring your kids or a date to, it has the best concession prices next to the drive-ins. A dollar refill on ANY size drink or popcorn can't be beat and keep in mind, this is a cash only establishment. However there is an ATM in the lobby. Do yourself a favor and go support this theater. It brought me back to when I was a kid watching double feature 2nd runs. Being able to share that experience with your kids is one of the best moments of all.

Was very crowded for a Sunday evening, but there were still plenty of seats. The theater was clean as always, and the popcorn and candy were fresh. The only negative was that the soda was a bit weak. Always a treat to see a movie on the big screen, and the price is right. We used to buy the ticket books, which lowers the price, but now that we're both Senior Citizens, the price is even better.

Scotia Cinema is the best movie theater in the capital region hands down. No, they don't get the films on their first day out, but if you have a little patience? You can go sit in the balcony and see the movie for $5 and have a reasonable popcorn. You can't go wrong at Scotia Cinema.

Cheap cheap cheap cheap CHEAP!! Unbelievably cheap. Popcorn, candy, tickets. All of it cheap. The place is homey and the screens are great. It's not a huge place but what they do have they do it well. $5 a ticket? I'm in. The movies playing here are a few weeks later than normal showings but that's a-ok by me because I'm playing a third or less the price at other theaters!

If you're able to wait a little for a movie highly suggest this place. The movie prices are very reasonable. Great for bringing children since their ticket prices are cheaper and kids always want food which is reasonably priced. Parking is somewhat limited on busy days so I suggest arriving a little early on weekends.

One of only low cost movie cinema in the area. I live in Scotia... super short car ride or walk to get to the cinema. Amazing prices! Cheap popcorn, cheap snacks, cheap drinks! I can take me and one of my kids, get movie tickets and snacks and drinks, and usually stay under $20!!!

Super low cost. It's always a blast to come here and I get to leave with my wallet mostly full. I imagine its reminiscent of days of old when a night at the theater didn't cost 1/10th of a paycheck. Absolutely recommend. If your date thinks you're cheap, ditch her.
