I have to say i expect pub style food, but the burger i got was perfection, flavorful and cooked as asked, and the bucket of beer was a plus, all in our party was very satisfied with their meals and john wick 3 was awesome

I've always loved this place, its movies and food. My advice however would be to come early to eat, or come if you want to see something a second time. It's a more busy environment with waiters, people ordering, eating, and paying.

Went to the first showing of the day to see Spiderman with my family. The initial staff at the entrance were very pleasant and friendly. The rest of our experience was not as nice. The theater was a mess! First showing of the day, I expect a clean theater! Seats were covered in food, floor was nasty and messy, there was an overall unpleasant smell. We were handed a very greasy button to push when we were read to order. We did not see a wait staff for 20 mins after we pressed the button. Websites states to come and enjoy your food an hour before movie time. We got our food right as the lights were going down. Food was okay, but our fried pickles were NOT cooked and doughy, very unpleasant in the mouth. Womens bathroom had doors missing and was out of soap. Overall, we will not be going to Chunky's in Manchester NH again. I felt like I needed a shower when I left there.

I usually love Chunkys but tonight's experience was very sub par. We ordered food and drinks at the beginning of a 90 minute film. The 2 adult drinks we ordered came out 15 minutes apart and the sodas that we ordered did not come until we asked about them 45 minutes in. We never got our entrees. I understand a backed up kitchen and such but there is no reason to not be able to get soda in a timely manor.

Awesome experience! First time at Chunkys to see Avengers, our waitress was attentive and kind. Burgers, and fries were delicious. Worth the price! Highly reccomend. Cool very American experience!

This is a place to go see a movie if you have no concerns about missing chunks of the film. It's not really Chunky's fault, it's just not for me. I don't want to miss a line of dialogue or a director's meticulously crafted shot. Especially with what movies cost now, no thank you. It's annoying enough at a regular movie theater with people checking their phone. Try to pay attention to your movie from your table that faces you toward the adjacent wall with servers running about, people ordering food, and everyone talking. If you gotta "entertain" your kids for a few hours, I'd suggest renting something on demand or going to the park. I can't believe this business model works, but different strokes for different folks I suppose.

I honestly was not expecting the price to be so high. I remember when it was about $6 to get in and then you paid for food. Well it is now almost $9 just to get in. Food is about $10.00 or more and most of the specialty drinks are ridiculous. They have a drink which is sour apple mixed with sprite that cost $4. I honestly expected better quality food for the price. My boyfriends hamburger bun was hard as a rock and his burger itself was charcoal and unedible. I honestly should have just gone to a regular movie theater or the drive in and would have paid half what we paid. The only reason we went was because we had a gift card which only covered 3/4 of the entry. Now I can see why there were only 4 tables of people to see toy story 4.

Been here twice, and both times I've had to hound my server to bring drinks to my table. I had to ask at least 5 times each time. Instead of relaxing and enjoying my movie, I'm busy trying to catch the servers' attention. (And annoying the moviegoers around me by activating my light-up gadget too frequently.) Both times, I was given the same excuse. "Your drink ticket didn't print." I don't care about whether my drink ticket printed or not. If that's the case, then instead of ignoring me, you should be taking my drink order again. I have nothing but respect for waitstaff, and I think the system really screws them by forcing them to rely on diners' tips to make a livable wage. But consistently, the waitstaff at Chunky's show that they just don't care. I'd rather go to dinner at a real restaurant and a movie at a real theater and enjoy both instead of doing both at once and stressing out.

Last year (2018) we hosted a Rocky Horror party along with 2 other couples. We got there early as we needed 8 to reserve. But we got a good table, and brought gift bags with all the props allowed. What a great time! Will try to organize it better - asked Chunkys if they could provide menu items with healthy choices. They tried; hope in 2019 its better. In any case a good time was had by all! Thank u Chunkys Manchester!

Chunky's is a fun environment to see a movie with friends. Show up early and eat dinner around a table. They're always showing older classics and comedians come through as well. I will say - the tickets are cheap but for a ticket, meal and 1 beer, and tip you're looking at around $30. To share an app with a group and not eat a full meal, it can be pretty affordable.

My first visit ever was tonight for a showing of Labyrinth (when the 80s call, I answer). The atmosphere was great when walking in, very wide open with plenty of lounge-type seating for gathering (and a Donkey Kong arcade game!!!). The theater seating was vibrant l comfortable and the table service was outstanding for so many people at the showing. I will definitely be back.

Food it's not great. Seating was too low. We love going to Smitty's and we thought this would be closer to that. It was still a fun way to see a movie, but chairs that can go higher so you can eat at the table and stadium seating would really help.

Great bathrooms! From the themed exteriors to cleanliness. Theatre and hallways smelled a bit like feet and Chucky Cheese. My legs got tired sitting in the big chairs. Comfy enough just wished they reclined a little. lights came on before complete end. movie had a ton of funny clips at the end during credits but as I said lights were on and staff was cleaning already.

Each experience was great. One movie I saw there was Ralph breaks the internet. That time they were having projector issues. Movie kept on shutting off. We didn't stick around to finish the movie cuz it just kept doing it. Tho they were kind enough to give us our refunds and gave everyone a free movie ticket

This Chunky's was the absolute best one we've been to. Loved it here and it's worth the longer drive to see movies in a nice relaxing, clean, and comfortable theater. Everyone here was extremely friendly and helpful as well. Food was way better than all the other Chunky's as well.

Brought my 2 year old to see toy story 4. We were nervous, being 2 we were expecting to have to take her out of the theater for being loud. But the seating was nice where there didnt have to be a ton of people around us (we also went during the day) our waitress was sweet to my daughter and the food was decent and quick.

Ticket prices are affordable and they have good food and beverage choices. The seats aren't the greatest but it's a trade-off when it comes to taking the whole family to the movies.

Great place to see a movie. I love being able to have dinner while watching a movie. The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. The only negative thing I found that the drinks (alcoholic) were pretty weak and they didn't have a common Brand Name Bourbon available, so I took off 1 star off for that. I'm happy they opened a Chunky's in Manchester. I'm sure I will be going back again

This is one of my favorite places to go because it is nice to relax and watch a movie. However I recently experienced very poor service. Went to see an older movie still out. Ordered food and asked for water right away as we were thirsty. Tables near us were already getting food and we were still waiting. I am not kidding, an hour and 15 minutes later, we got our food. Still no water despite asking for it a few times. Never had our server come and ask how things were despite our food being cold, I had a dirty plate, and my burger was under cooked. Very disappointing and it is hard to enjoy your show when you are completely thirsty. If I did not care about the movie I would have walked to the bar to grab a simple water.

I've been to Chunkys 2 times and both times they never brought back my change. You can't just assume I'm giving you a $15 tip that was 50% of my bill I should have the option to give the tip I feel is deserved.

I enjoy going to Chunkys but I feel the food servers leave a lot to be desired. I wish they were a bit more attentive. A 2nd or 3rd drink will drive up the bill and hopefully equates to a better tip! It's always clean and fresh though.

Great concept! I was just here tonight to see the Grinch with my son and a few friends, we all enjoyed it a lot. I think the experience surrounding the movie itself was great! Comfortable seats, great audio, video, clean...etc. Where the experience leaves room for improvement is in the service and first come first serve aspect of the theater. We arrived at 5:10 for a 6:20 movie with the intention of getting in early, eating and enjoying the show. We actually waited in line for almost 30+ minutes which is what it is, but no employees made an effort to explain what was going on and many patrons were visibly displeased, with many theater goers approaching employees looking for answers (leading me to believe it’s not typical) Once in the service was extremely slow, we waited 10+ minutes for drinks etc and the food came out a while after ordering it. I understand an entire theater is ordering food at the same time and cannot comprehend the stress the kitchen must be under, but perhaps offering some “short wait” food items would make sense. Popcorn took almost as long as menu items, (the faster patrons can get food the more money they will spend right!?.) The first come first serve aspect could be improved as well. I understand the business wants 100% occupancy when possible, but I would lose my mind if I went there with my family and couldn’t sit together. Why not offer reserved tables for more money, it would to ensure I could sit with my party...I would even pay for empty seats if I couldn’t fill a 6 person table. I now see why my friends wanted to get there so early, but there were a thousand other things I would prefer to do for 30+ minutes on Saturday other than waiting in line for a movie. Overall the experience was decent for the money. I will come back again but mid-week realizing 6pm on a Saturday is a peak time for them. Again, great concept but there is certainly room for improving. (Note: some of my expectations come from visiting theaters with similar business models in other parts of the country)

Been here several times but lately the food has degraded along with the service. The chicken in the Avo-Cobb-O salad was really dry as we're the tenders. The coffee was almost cold and came with no sugar. I asked for some but then there was nothing to stir it with!

Whoever worked the shift at 12:30-3pm at Cinema 1 on May 1, staff member was very rude towards us. We have arrived early (party of two and only ordered drinks) so we tried to look for the best seats to sit in. The first table had too many seats so we switched to a different seat closer to the screen, then switched again when we noticed not that many people were coming in and found a more comfortable spot. At that point, the staff member made a rude remark that this was the third time we were switching seats. He did not tell us this privately, he said this in front of everyone. There were people inside the cinema at that point. The movie didn't even start yet (this happened at 12, movie was supposed to start at 12:30 so we were not bothering anyone). We were thoroughly embarrassed. We apologized and just wanted to order food. We were ready to order and were waiting for them to come by. At some point, my SO waved at him that we were ready to order. The staff member looked at us and walked away. Again, movie did not start and he was not far away. The lights were on as well. At this point, me and my SO were too frustrated to order anything, so we left without getting anything. We just wanted to enjoy the movie but left hungry, uncomfortable and annoyed because of this employee. This is our second time that we visited out of state and the last time. Both times we were treated poorly due to rude staff.

Not enough staff to serve a full theater. NO SWEET RELISH for hot dogs!! People can get a pitcher of soda, but when I asked for a pitcher of Ice water, they said they didn't do that. ☹️☹️ The waiter did bring me two waters.

I actually helped with getting this place up and running when I was a day laborer. I didn't know that I could be seated about an hour before the movie starts, and as for the seats, I enjoyed the leather high back swivel chairs. There's also some claw machines and a photo booth in the lobby, along with a bar in case you want to snack before the movie

We had a really good experience here- service was great, our waitress was patient and sweet and very attentive. Food came out in a timely manner and so did our drinks. I was surprised that we didn't get a better seat- we were about 20 minutes early- but it was a Friday night so maybe that's to be expected? I took a star off because it was pricey. It was about the same price as any other theatre, I think it was $8.75 but I might be off by a dollar. But then we also got food and I got two drinks, and after top my burger and two beers was $40. Not unreasonable, but up there. My burger was delicious though! Not a big selection of draft beer, I didn't look at the mixed drinks.

Ask Cameron at the bar for an espresso martini. AWESOME! The theater's seats are comfortable, the food is delicious and the surround sound makes the movie really come to life! Oh! And gluten free wings and other food. For those interested, you CAN have a drink made for you and brought into the theater.... Just saying.... Nice extra benefit at the end of the day. Depending on your taste for margaritas, I didn't like it because I like ones like La Carrettas or Shorty's.... But you may like them. I strongly encourage you to come enjoy Chunkys and all it has to offer!!!!!

The food was really good and the prices are very fair for a movie theater. It's a great place to bring my 4 year old so he can snack as we watch. The theater was very cold, so next time I will bring a sweatshirt for him. The waitress was very nice and friendly, although the person working the front desk was not very pleasant, almost rude. Glad we didnt have to deal with him more than once. They were out of squirms but sour patch kids sufficed my son. Overall pleasant experience. I'll be back...

This was my first time going here. Over all it was a good experience. I have improvements they need to address but over all it was good. Was it worth drive an hour and 22 minutes? No. I would rather travel to smittys in Tilton. If I lived close then I would go there. So the cons: service was slow we got our appetizer long before are drinks. I don't know if that's due to the amount of people there or not but either way it was too long to wait for drinks. Food was good but from what everyone in my group said it could have been better. Now my biggest complaint, the chairs there are very uncomfortable which surprised me the most compared to the chairs at smitty's. Honestly if the chairs where comfy I might try them again but due to that alone I won't travel that far.

This Chunky's location is super nice. It makes me realize how badly all the other locations need an update. The bar area where you walk in is really nice and the theaters themselves are nice, new, and clean. No issues at all with the building itself. Where this place lags is the service. Each time we go here the service seems so slow. We will order a drink, and it will sometimes take 20 minutes for them to come back. I'm not even talking about a mixed drink, just a soda or water can take this long. It doesn't make much sense. The menu itself isn't bad. The burgers are really good, but some of the apps are hit or miss. The tenders can be overdone, and the "soft" pretzels are sometimes not soft by the time you get them. I still really like this theater overall. I would just like to see some improvements in service and quality.

Be careful to inspect your food because it's dark and they'll apparently serve you whatever. My nephew got buffalo tenders and the celery was Brown and shriveled. I mean don't go in expecting world class food because it's a damn movie theater, but that was ridiculous. I wouldn't have been that upset if we hadn't dropped 150 dollars on the evening. The chairs and theater are great though so we will go back, but maybe we'll just get something safe like drinks and popcorn.

The waitress was very rude. The food came out wrong. The chicken was dry and overcooked. The roll was stale. It took forever to get our sodas. The manager was nice but did nothing to rectify the situation. Don't order steak tips unless you want them overcooked as they cook them only med. Well. Don't try to substitute potatoes for rice. In other words this is really not a restaurant. It is less flexible than McDonakds. So go to see the movie but eat somewhere else 1st!

I know this establishment is the newest of all the Chunky's theaters but it needs a lot of things adjusted and fixed already. My husband and I have tried going here at least 3 times now and all 3 experiences haven't been good. All three times we've ordered food.. we wouldn't receive it till at least halfway into the movie. The first time I had an issue with my gluten free order not coming out gluten free (non-gluten free cookie sitting on top of my sandwich) as well as our third and last time going there. But what really forced our hand in not coming back ever again... is that they took my sandwich out back, took the cookie off then came back 2 minutes later with it....... I knew I didn't have a new grilled cheese and was very nervous thinking that they had NO IDEA how to handle customers with Celiac Disease like myself. Even a crumb that can't be seen with the naked eye could get me sick, harm my intestines to the point that I have to be in the hospital. So just taking the cooking off is NOT ACCEPTABLE. I re-explained ALL OF THIS again to the waiter and he said a new one will be made. After waiting another half an hour (grilled cheeses take less than 10 minutes to make) I asked if my food was coming out any time soon. The waiter went back and checked, then brought it to my table. I took a bite and realized that it was not even cooked... cold bread and cheese..... so my "grilled" cheese sandwich was not grilled... I was so devastated because of how hungry I was and disheartened that nobody knew what they were doing when it came to servicing customers who require gluten free food only to live. The movie was almost over that I just choked down the cold sandwich because I was to upset to ask for new sandwich for a 3rd time. After the movie my husband saw my tears, I told him what was wrong with this sandwich and he asked the waiter to get the manager so he could speak with him. To the manager's surprise, we waited in the lobby and not in the theater.. and he had said a sarcastic comment about us to his co-worker when walking toward the theater we were standing next to. When he saw us and we told them that we were the ones waiting for him he switched his attitude 180 degrees the other way. He heard everything we had to say and he seemed to feel genuinely bad for the horrible service we received and didn't charge us for our meal. That was nice of him, but what is needed the most is a change in how the staff knowledge and know-how with customers that have auto-immune diseases like Celiac Disease.

Very interesting idea, restaurant style movie theater. Food was good even though the put the hot wings on the plate with the other food. The sauce was all over the plate making the cheese sticks soggy. The chairs are very comfortable but the angle to watch and not block the person behind/beside you was difficult. The movie screen looked great and the sound quality was very good. I would definitely recommend this place as an interesting and fun experience.

This place is awesome we love it. But it's kind of hit or miss. You really have to get a seat early (30 mins at least) to get the best setup. Otherwise you are at the back of a table full of a bunch of loud randoms. The food has always been pretty decent and fun movie themed! A little expensive but the cheap tickets makes up for that. Plan to spend about $60-70 for a group of 4 (more with pitchers of beer!) Overall though this is our favorite movie spot around!

We went to see Avengers end game with a big group of friends. We had 17 people in our group. We wound up having to wait in line, but while we were there they were having a beer tasting so some of us had went over and tasted beer. I thought this was a good way for us to pass the time. It went by really fast and the movie was great.

Chunky's was just an okay experience for us, and we took our 7 year old son as well. We did only make the trip because we had some gift certificates to use up. The food was definitely less than okay,and the service was really exceptionally slow. I dont care for the seating there either as it is much to low for most kids to see well. The sound quality was superior though, and the place is actually pretty large. Overall,If they could configure a few things I really feel this place would be awesome.

Have been here multiple times now. The food is horrendous and disgusting. The wait staff doesn’t know what they are doing. Each time we go here, our food/drink orders are forgotten about MULTIPLE times. The seats are uncomfortable and unpractical for a movie theater. The staff is unhappy and annoyed by the guests. This is not a place to have family time and is not worth the money. Go to a regular movie theater. Don’t waste your money at a Chunkys Cinema.

Love this place! Rented a theater for the Premire of "Quirewood, the Musical". A full length feature film I star in and composed the score for! I will definitely be back to watch more movies here!

It's convenient for the kids, but the table service is poor and the food quality is terrible. On more than one occasion, I've had inedible food. Chicken sandwich was like chewing rubber, tots and pretzels were stale and rock hard. Please source better ingredients.

This is a fun place to get it done. You can keep the kids entertained and get to enjoy dinner, or enjoy an adult night out. The movie themed food names are creative and memorable. Food options are good to satisfy, and portions are filling. Think I was shorted some alcohol on my margarita but there is a good drink selection. The seats are nice and comfortable, especially since you can get a decent recline. Have fun.

Onion rings were absolutely disgusting. Just soaked in frying oil. At one point I had a mouth full of oil. You guys should try investing in some better frying oil, especially for a place that fries so much food...optimax or something. Something that won't cling to the food..everything was mediocre here.

Great place to go with kids. Food is good, drinks are overpriced and seem watered down. Service can be hit or miss, but viewing is comfortable, movies are current and the ticket price is lower than the average cinema.

Love this place. The ticket prices are reasonable, but I suppose they make it up on the food. That said, they charge standard restaurant prices. So what could be better than a restaurant meal in stadium seating watching a big movie.

A nice clean and relaxed theatre. Friendly staff is great and helpful for the unique restaurant/cinema experience. They serve fun movie themed cocktails, and their food (while on the pricey side) is usually excellent.

If you're going to eat there... Get your order in early.. Drinks came well before food for us, and the other people at our table had the opposite happen. Take earplugs. The volume is really high to drown out conversations. Chairs are comfortable though. All in all it was still a nice experience.

Just went and watched lion king and took 45 min to order a drink then the movie ends so 2 hrs no drink but they charged me for it so i go ask for my drink and the lady brings me a reciept saying she refunded the drink after i paid so they double charged me then rips up original reciept...

My husband ordered a salad and me and my dgtr had hamburgers. We got our hamburgers before the movie then we asked about my husband salad and were told it was comng out soon and still waited. We should have had the salad comped but only paid 1/2, this should have been taken off the bill

This was my first visit to Chunky’s in a long time. I had never been to the Manchester Chunky’s either. The seats were not as comfortable as I remember from other Chunky’s but I had plenty of space and could recline. The BBQ nachos were excellent and everyone else enjoyed their food. The only reason I give four stars is our server wasn’t very friendly. He wasn’t rude but he didn’t seem to want to be there. But I have had a lot of good servers lately so maybe my expectations are high. I will definitely go back.

My family and i love chunkys. But if you don't plan on eating, the seats are not as comfortable as i would like. You cannot fully recline or put your feet up. And the food is good, but pricey... Overall a good place.

My husband and I finally stopped in to catch a movie. We were blown away! It's been a LONG time since either of us have been to a Chunky's or Smitty's and this one blew all the others out of the water. This is like a whole new movie-going experience, and not just because of the awesome food and drink options. The whole theater is so wonderfully decorated, it felt like a celebration of movies! Even the bits before the previews kept displaying fun film related things. Our waiter was also really great and we enjoyed our meals! We'll definitely be back soon!

I have been about 3-4 times now. The building is beautiful and the layout is great. I love the lobby bar and photo booth. Staff is always friendly and the facility is always clean. My only complaints is that the food typically doesn't taste as good as it could and their menu never seems to change.

We hosted our twins' 6th birthday party at Chunky's Manchester. Wendy made the entire process easy and enjoyable. The staff was attentive and welcoming. One of my son's has a tree nut allergy and they were knowledgeable and helpful with navigating that issue as well. Everyone had a blast and I didn't have to clean, shop or cook! Highly recommend Chunky's for a party!

The theater was okay... It’s a different kind of experience.. You gotta get used to the staff walking by to serve others.. Forks clanging away. Sub par food that is rather expensive. But hey, it’s served right at your table. The service was good. I enjoyed the movie I watched.. The seats were squeaky and nothing like the seats I remember the last time I went to a Chunkys. I actually found them rather uncomfortable after thirty minutes. I couldn’t stop repositioning my seat and moving around. Reclining wasn’t as nice as I remember it being. At least It was clean, and a drunk looking Bradley cooper welcomes you into the guys bathroom.
