Not cold like the one by Sears. Still 1980's movie theater design, though. Good projectors, speakers, seats, screens are Way better than the one by Sears. Their screens are dirty, scuffed up, sometimes seem kinda misaligned.

The facility is ok. I hate the fact that I have to stand in the concession line to buy tickets. The ticket window in my experience is almost never open. All you want to do is catch the next show and you have to wait behind a line of people who can’t figure out what they want eat.

We saw The Lion King. The lines were long. The theater was crowded. We don't usually mind but there were babies in the theater crying and kicking seats. Not the theater's fault. The screen had visible panels that you could see. It didn't make for a cohesive picture. We could hear the movie next door during Lion King down scenes.

The place was so dirty that completely took the fun out of it. Could barely stand the bathroom smell, floor was completely dirty with food everywhere. Prices are exorbitant for what the theater looks like especially in terms of poor house keeping/higiene.

The staff was friendly and was able to get tickets and concession items quickly. The lobby was clean as was the drink station. The theater room, room 3, was clean as far as the floors but the ceiling was stained and looked like areas were needing replaced. The screen also had visible lines that were very visible at any time there was a bright scene or pure white and then very distracting. When you pay as much as you do for a 3D night ticket to not have the screen maintained, you have to wonder what that money is going to. Overall the theater was good as long as you're not in theater 3 showing a bright movie.

We saw the latest Jurassic Park movie here. The theatre was very clean and the staff friendly. We were lucky to have purchased our tickets online, though, as the movie had sold out b/4 we got there. That is the reason for the four star rating instead of five b/c you didn't know it was sold out until you got up to the ticket booth after waiting in a very long line. The theatre should have a way of posting what times are sold out to avoid unnecessary lines & waiting. I felt bad for all those w/ children who waited forever only to be told they couldn't see the movie at that time. Overall, though, it was a good experience.

Pretty average theater. Lots of screens and clean most the time.I would have gave five stars if it weren't for the seats and the prices. The seatnot the most comfy. And some AMC theaters have those big leather chairs that recline. That would be awesome. And the prices are ridiculous. I'd rather not pay 6 dollars for a small drink. With those prices they could probably afford the leather seats.

I don’t know if I’m spoil or what but I did not like this theater. I like clean places that I can feel comfortable when watching a movie. The places I usually visit have great staff, they are clean and the theater is nice. When visiting this theater on my visit to Rapid City, it was the opposite of these characteristics. It was sketchy, dirty and I did not know where to go upon entering the place. There was popcorn all over the place, no sense of where things or services are at and also the place was weird to get to on the street. Unlike the Marcus theaters counterpart that I visit where I live, AMC does not hold standards nor seem to be interested in renovations.

Great theater; nice seats, great food and ok prices. One issue...lobby is too small for busy days. Not enough room for people waiting for movies and concession customers. And placement of butter and pop machines just make it worse.

I go to this movie theater once every two weeks or so. It is very expensive. $8 matinee, $12 regular show. Popcorn and pop together is around $16. $30 dollars for one person with popcorn and pop. The only reason anyone would spend something like that is to see the newest movies. For that reason alone it is fine for what it is. I usually don't get popcorn or a drink because its just too expensive. At least the theaters are usually clean. Workers are always greasy rude kids or snappy old crones. But hey, whats there to expect? it's a movie theater.

This is hands down the NASTIEST movie theater I have been in. It smells like feet, rancid popcorn, b.o. and filthy carpet. The restrooms are awful as well. Tje lobby is a sorry sight also. They never clean the popcorn off the floor, even during the slow times. The lobby smells just as bad as all the theaters. AMC can get away with this because they are the ONLY THEATER in town. People either go here or not at all. Absolutely shameful way to run a place.

I've been coming to this theater for YEARS, but apparently you have to be a premier member to get service now?! Everyone standing in line for 40 minutes waiting for tickets and concessions as they yell for the next premier member to step up for help. Movies cost over $50 we shouldn't have to have memberships or be late to a movie. Our movie started at 130. Got here at one and are now late for our movie. Good way to LOOSE service by forcing memberships on people.

We saw the IT sequel and the movie itself was astonishing. There was an extremely rude stubborn young woman who would not get off of her phone. We had to go ask one of the staff members for assistance because us asking her to put her phone away was inefficient. Within two minutes am employee came and told her to put it away or she'd be asked to leave. We were super impressed with how quickly we received help.

It was excellent BEFORE AMC took over. All the problems are a result of changing the way things were done to the way AMC does things. It was much more efficient and personal before. It had a personal atmosphere before, much better all around. Staff is polite, a few of them will go out of their way to help you. If it wasn’t for the staff I’d probably drive somewhere else or just watch the movies when they come out on Prime.

Outdated theater. Service was slow, one ticket issuing agent. The area for concessions is awkwardly designed, and where the line ends, they call out for Premiere customers (their members) to come on down and cut the line, after you've waited ten minutes in line already, and they have to squeeze past all the other folks at the registers waiting for their orders to get to the end where they are hailed too. They should really just do it on the East end of the counter to avoid this. Not a fan of the soda machines they have. They have two of those modern dispensers with the hundred plus flavor combinations, and all it does is create a long line as people struggle to find a drink, or struggle to operate it because they've never seen this thing before. The placement of the machines creates a line in a cramped lobby location, which backs up into the concessions line, and the overall lobby creating a chaotic display of people trying to navigate around each other. I accidentally cut to the front of the line because I couldn't identify where or if there was a line. This theater really does need to be remodeled and updated to a modern theater, and update the lobby to a more efficient design.

This movie theater is a HUGE joke. I came in with my 2 children and a few of their friends to watch a new scary movie that came out. I purchased the tickets for the ones who weren’t old enough (being the movie was rated R). I went outside to take a phone call, and they kicked the kids out. The staff then threatened to call law enforcement for “harassment”. Not sure how any of this was considered harassment. But the staff is disrespectful, and does not speak to people like human beings. I would absolutely NOT recommend this theater to anyone. Not to mention... their bathrooms smell like an out house, and they look like one too.

We are AMC stubs members and love going to movies for a night out. Usually the lines are brief and we are able to get right in! The seats are comfortable and the staff is friendly. If you go to movies somewhat frequently, the popcorn bucket is totally worth it!

For a monday night 7 o'clock movie we had enough time to grab tickets, snacks and drinks before movie started. Also new drink machines and popcorn station to add butter and seasonings, which we weren't made aware of until we were leaving. But overall clean and efficient.

I like this place because the movies that are coming out are really good. And if you're into comedy or any other movie type this would be the place to go. Lots of the movies are cute and entertaining. So yes I recommend this place for sure if you're a movie lover/watcher.

Make sure your there 45 minutes early so you can get your popcorn and soda in time before the movie starts. Also if you like a popular flavor of pop like coca cola they are probably out of it. But don't worry for only like sixty bucks you and your date can enjoy a nice movie with your second choice soda and a box of carnival grade pretzels.

Very unsanitary. The theater, on arrival, was dirty and there wasn't very many people there. I used the women's bathroom twice, the toilet struggled to flush and the second time the stall and toilet was covered in what seemed to be dried vomit. There were at least 15-20 gnats on the mirrors. Absolutely filthy. It looks like the bathrooms haven't been cleaned in quite some time. On a good note the movie and sound was great.

8:30pm. Sunday night. Can’t buy a thing! Called. Talked to a sub human tennage being (I think). She said the drawers were closed out for the day and even if you were in a movie and wanted something, I couldn’t sell you anything.... Not even with a card.... Thankfully, the Elks Theatre Libby stays open while movies are playing. 5 stars for them!

The service @ this theatre is outstanding. Every time I've been to a movie here, I'm greeted warmly, and I receive my order promptly and efficiently. The individual theatres are always clean, and there is no stopping and starting of the film due to some sort of technical difficulties. Since its change to AMC, I've attended probably three times as many movies as I did in previous years

This was a great movie theater, that even had a popcorn butter station-- to put butter and or seasoning on your popcorn, coca cola free style machines, and several icee flavors. My only complaint is that if we were not rewards members, we would not have gotten a coupon for $5 popcorn and icee combo and we would have to spend a ton of money on concessions. For instance the candy is $4.29!

Also they have some memberships you can get like AMC Stubs where you get to watch movies free weekly. Also you can get a popcon bucket and they will fill it for free every time you bring it.

I've never been in a theater before that smelled musty, but it was quite bad, like the carpet had got wet and hasn't dried out. Seriously considered leaving but stuck around. By the end of the show I apparently got used to it because I didn't notice any more.

I waited in line for a good 15 minutes at their concessions, and couldn’t order my food because they let anyone who has a paid membership cut to the front of the line, no matter how long you have been waiting. (I figured I would have had to wait another 10 minutes with the rate things were going and likely miss the start of my movie). I get having perks for a paid membership, but I refuse to pay extra just so I can get a pop and popcorn without waiting forever. I shouldn’t have to pay extra to not be treated like a second class citizen, and as such, have no problem never going to an AMC theater again. I also sent a communication to the AMC regarding this issue and have yet to hear back.

1 of 2 theaters in Rapid City that is just terrible... The best experience of this place is sitting in their seats. Which are mediocre at best. Hopefully that demonstrates how bad it really is here. One of the worst parts is how small the parking lot is. Most times, you have to park across the street, way in the back, or somewhere beside a curb in a makeshift parking spot. Someone please save Rapid City and build us a semi-decent place to watch movies.
