Super busy, only had 1 popcorn machine running. Would run out of popcorn every few customers. Movie was late starting due to computer issues. For the price you could do better. No reclining seats.

We have been coming here for years for the summer $1.00 movies as a large family and always loved it. This year has not been as much of an enjoyable experience however. The staff seems very unprepared for the crowd that comes in, never having enough people manning the concession stand for sure. Last week there were only 2 lines open for a long time and one was being used for a day care order. I waited in line for 20 mins for one large popcorn and a drink. This week we got here early to avoid that and were the 3rd people in line. I still had to wait for 15 mins for the same thing. I then went back up to the counter to ask the employee something, he looked me in the eye and turned and walked away. After a few mins of realizing he wasn't coming back I went to the other side for someone else to help me. We used to see the manager every week in the trenches making sure everything was running smoothly but now rarely see her. So disappointing.

The trash cans were over flowing, the snack bar was out of three or four items. The staff is unfriendly, lack knowledge and customer service skills. Management does not seem to care about making it any better.

They don't put butter in the middle of the large popcorn!!!! If you want butter you have to go to the butter around the other end of counter bring the popcorn back and they will put more popcorn in it. I've NEVER experienced that!!!!! Why not put butter on the half full popcorn fill it up and I'll go around other end of counter and put more on top then go to my movie!!!!!!!

Rude behavior of 2 unsupervised kids that was reported to the security guard and manager was not corrected. Thus we ended up leaving the movie. Security should have thrown them out. Very disappointed in the way this handled.

Went here before with my friend to see a rated R movie and our parents paid for it since we are 15 and they let us in. Now we tried to do it again and they didn’t let us. If you guys aren’t allowed to let us see the movie without an adult then you should have told us that to begin with. Especially when we paid for the tickets.

They are a very disorganized and poorly run theater. They will have six employees, but only two registers open at concessions. And because the actual ticket offices are never open, you are forced to wait in these ridiculously long lines when you don't even want any snacks. Or you can of course pay a premium to buy tickets online, right? The theaters themselves are always too hot. The worse theater on the area.

I came here to see Spiderman Far From Home. It was my second time here and I loved it. The theater was not too busy so the showing was quiet and entertaining. Tickets were ordered online so we checked in inside and went to our seats. Cons: the online tickets seats didn't match the corresponding name inside the theater.

I love the place but the way the phone line is set up is bad. Every to I call them, I get a loud BEEP that hurts my ears. It is the same for my friends too. But over I love the place. If you don't like a loud beep in your ears, don't call them. But they are nice to me when I go there so I am fine with it.

For the money spent, the service is the worst in town. If you want popcorn, get to the theater an hour before the movie starts. I'm not kidding. It doesn't matter what time of day, the staff moves at the same pace as if they were on lithium. Figure on 7 minutes wait per person in front of you, that seems to be the average. Seats are comfortable, though.

Did really well, went to see EndGame. My one complaint: Some 4 people obviously bought tickets and were standing in the aisle about 20-25 minutes in the movie, looking for their seats and found them...Some other people also bought those seats it seemed like--or they refused to give up seats they shouldn't be in but they stopped the movie and checked tickets and those people left and hopefully got a refund. Be careful about your tickets and make sure you sit in your asigned seat. This can cause trouble. Please don't steal others seat, but overall good service.

Way over priced and charged me adult rate for 12 yr. Old. $23.00 then $22.00 for 2 medium cokes and medium popcorn that was cold with coagulated cold butter. I will never go there again.

This theater used to be my go-to. However they are now completely overpriced for what they offer. Concessions don't even allow you to get combos anymore. You also have to pay for seasoning for your popcorn! You can pick your seats, but other theaters let you pick your seat and then give you recliners. It's unfortunate because this theater is closer to me and I enjoy that convenience. But I will travel further to be able to afford to take my family out.

Overall, this is a very nice theater. What I like most is that now when you purchase tickets, you get to select your actual seat(s). This was a huge relief when it came time to see Endgame. Speaking of Endgame, the staff was not prepared for that crowd. Wait times at the concession stand were way too long, which is one reason why I'm marking this down a star. We literally waited 40 minutes with only 3 customers ahead of us. Someone should've anticipated huge turnouts for all showings of this popular franchise. I had also viewed Captain Marvel here weeks prior, at which time one of the speakers in that particular auditorium was cutting in and out, and there was quite a bit of popcorn on the floor from a previous viewing. Despite these minor cons, this is my preferred movie theater. Another bonus I'd like to point out is that they offer Military/Veterans discounts on admission (non-matinee), which is always appreciated. The theater is conveniently located in a great place to catch a movie, do some shopping, and grab a bite to eat. I highly recommend this theater!

This theater is way overpriced for the service and facilities offered. The seats may be assigned, but they are tiny and uncomfortable. They were advertising a special combo at the concession stand for the Lion King, however, they were all out. Take the graphic down if you can't sell it. It smelled musty in the entire building. I will not be returning to this theater. Majoy upgrading and remodeling needs to take place. The mall movie theaters are so much better. More affordable and better seating. Cinemark wins. Regal loses.

Going to the theater the weekend Avengers End Game came out was probably not the smartest idea. The theater did not have enough staff working for the volume of people going to the movies, there was popcorn and trash all over the floor, down the hallways and the floor in the particular theater I was in (not there for End Game) was so sticky, my shoe stuck to the floor when I lifted my foot to take a step forward. There were rude teenagers harassing a couple in line behind my companion and me, and we became involved in a heated discussion with a girl dressed in just a t shirt. Not cool.

Overall not impressed with this location. It took us a good 20 minutes to get snacks, and there were 4 people on front of us. I timed one of the staff and it took her 6 minutes to stick a lid on an ICEE cup, and she continued to try even after I told her I didn't need the lid. Someone who looked like a manager also walked by during this time and said nothing. Will definitely not be going back to this location.

The wait for concessions on 5/27/19, Memorial Day, opening weekend of Aladdin was 45 min! Of course I missed the beginning of the movie. When I spoke to the manager on duty, Andrew Farrell, I was told it was corporates fault. They only allowed them to staff 15 people. The staff was at a snails pace, they could have cared less. Paid a lot of money for RPX (for the experience) only to miss part of the movie. Would have been much better off going to Oakbrook. Would have spent less money, and the concession line would have moved faster.

On top of being the most expensive theatre in this area, the most expensive snack, they claim the dirtiest smelliest theatre. It has the aroma of well aged mold. The kind that you get walking into grandma's home built in 64. On top of that, they took the seats left over from a 75 Pinto. For over half the cost I get amazing seats at Northwoods cinema. Do not waste your time or money here.

First time in years coming to this theater and I was very dissatisfied. The outside appearance was extremely trashy and not kept and upon walking in was even worse. There was used trash, popcorn and napkins on the floor. The floor was also sticky. Once we got to our auditorium there were people in our reserved seats, which we resolved ourselves because the manager took too long to come and resolve the issue. Cleanliness and appearance need attending big time. Very over priced for this theater, I will not be attending a show here again soon.

I’ve had good and bad experiences here, unfortunately it’s the bad one that incentivized me to write a review. The seating, sound, and screen resolution is great. The customer service and snack prices (surprise surprise) was not so great. We had a particular time rude young man named Jacob treat us impolitely. Be warned, the service is subpar.

The concession stand prices were way too high.. The theater had a dirty smell.. The girl taking tickets and telling which way to go spoke so quietly you could not hear her. Every other theater in charleston has a popcorn coke combo this didn't $6 for a medium drink . Citadel Mall theater beats this hands down! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

They are a great place to take your family or just yourself. It is clean and they are very friendly. Just make sure to get a rewards card, because then you can earn things like free movie admission and food etc.They also have an app to purchase tickets. They have games there, but not many and they do have birthday parties.

Expensive food, have to pay for salts the salt they have is the tiny packet like at restaurants, so is the rest of their other condiments, and their bathrooms are hard to find not having signs pointing it out, also to point out you gotta pick out your seats before hand and everyone is right up on you, and it’s hot in the movie rooms.

Seems like a lot of the screens have a blue tint to the projection. RPX looks good but would have preferred curtains over letterbox for wider movies. Also, the straws are made of paper or something and fall apart halfway through the movie. Otherwise, the sound quality is great and the screens are a good size. Proper scope aspect theaters aside from the RPX which fill the screen for wider movies. Mostly enjoyable, just a few nitpicks.

We used to love going to Azalea Square but the last time we went they started "reserved seating. When we got to the assigned seats they were marked not to sit; n something was wrong so we had to go back and get different seats. We are returning to Cinemark.

The outside of this place at night is VERY beautiful!! But.. It doesn't make the review sadly. My boyfriend took me here right after I moved to the area from West Virginia. When he first took me it was super beautiful all lit up! If I compare this to other theaters in the area, this theater's arm rests go up. Some other ones do not. So this theater is a plus in that department! But with this theater I felt it was extremely over-priced. The movie theater in my opinion is small. We have bigger ones in WV and Ohio. It wasn't terrible, just a little on the small side I felt like. I also do not like the fact that they search your purses, etc. I've been to Regals, Marquie, and IMAX theaters all over and never once have they looked in your purse. I know they don't want people sneaking in candy but my gosh that's oved the top! I personally would rather drive to the cheap theater on ladson. I feel it's a little better, well a lot in my opinion. Although, I really do love this one when it is all lit up at night!

After years of going to this theater last night was a horrible and disappointing experience. Understaffed and very VERY poorly managed! Waited in line for an hour for concessions and the entire concessions area was filthy and they didn't even have lids for drinks and had to wait for the rude manager to bring them some. They were out of everything, and I mean pretty much everything, at 630pm on a Saturday and when we ordered we then waited 30 mins for popcorn and fountain sodas. They were not prepared at all for one of the largest opening weekends. Every single trash can was flowing over on to the floors and they remained that way. Went to see another movie a few weeks ago and the theater had not been cleaned prior to the next showing. Sad to see one of our favorite theaters going downhill because of lazy management and lack of staff.

The concession stands - the people behind the counters are slow. New system on how you are seated in the theater is all mixed up. When you arrive someone is seating in your assigned seat and you have to either ask the people politely to move down or go to another area to find a seat.

Reasonable rates for movies, especially if you love movies they are offering a deal $21.99 / month plus tax for all the movies you can stand to watch! What a deal. Concession stand prices are normal (Higher than Normal) in saying that it is what it is. Clean comfortable seats. Great job Regal.

I paid to see the Avenger endgame re-release with special extra content before and after the movie. Not only did our movie start over 20 minutes late because of a projection issue that was not immediately addressed, but they did not play the extra content until a complaint was made 10 minutes after the movie ended. Then, they only played the post-credit extras, but by then half of the theater had left already. Plus, they never played the intro scenes. When I went to talk to management about the problems, not only were they incredibly rude, they were also unhelpful and unprofessional. We weren't even offered any sort of compensation or even an apology. The ushers and concessionist were great and tried to make up for issues that were above their paygrade, but they weren't the ones at fault, nor could they really do anything about the issues. Management was AWFUL. Will not be returning (and this is coming from a movie-lover). I'm not normally the kind of person to complain, having worked retail and customer service myself and knowing how difficult it can be, but this was honestly the worst theater experience I have ever had

They need to try better to keep the place clean. I understand that people are disrespectful and don't clean up after themselves, but such is life and you have to stay on top of things. Also, having some better combo options at the concession stand would be great, because almost $19 for a small popcorn, small drink and a candy is pretty steep! I almost need to take out a line to feed my family when we go to the movies!

You have to stand in long popcorn and drink line to buy tickets. You can walk in and go straight to a theater or just tell them you got tickets already when buying popcorn. Preview movie stop to correct sound.

Theatre itself was nice. Line to get tickets was around the building and there was only one person working the ticket booth. The lines inside for concessions was long and extremely slow moving. I waited 35 minutes and still didn’t receive anything as my movie had started. Slowest moving staff in any establishment that I have ever been to.

Saw Angry Birds 2 with family. Bring your own straws they only have the paper straws and the end up dissolving within under an hour and become useless.

I went to see Avengers Endgame in RPX. This was my first time in a theater in years so I thought I would treat myself. What a disappointing experience. Only one person serving at the concession counter. The oven was broken so no hot food was available. I ordered nachos and got a bag of chips and a cup of cheese. The RPX is supposed to be an upgraded theater, but the sound system was terrible. The dialogue was muffled, but everything else was blasting to the point of hurting your ears. The seats were uncomfortable and squeak, which was quite annoying during the quiet moments of the film. It sounded like a room full of mice with gas. I'll stick to Blue Ray and stay home. My screen is smaller, but everything else is superior to this theater.

Have gone twice in the last week. The customer service/management is sorely missing at this site. We got there at 12:50 today for a 1:15 show the line was ridiculous and they had one window open, finally at 1:20 a manager came out and said they were opening another line. Last week we stood in line at a counter for five minutes while two employees (one was obviously a manager chatted), she finally said you have to go down and around. So we go to that cash register and she says you have to go to the next register. A total cluster! The popcorn and soda is ridiculously priced. Frustrating experience, the seats and theater is nice but common sense/customer service/organization are sorely lacking.

Went in for the matinee movie. Movie was great the theater was clean. The seats were comfortable. Getting snacks and drinks was an ok process. The reason I am giving it only 4 stars is because the only non carbonated drink they have is water. I am unable to have anything carbonated so my only choice was water. Water and popcorn aren't the best combinations. This is just my opinion on my situation. Otherwise it was a pleasant visit. update to response: It is nice to receive a response but I wont be visiting this movie theater again anytime in the future. I prefer to have something other then water with my popcorn and snacks.

1st time here. I am not in favour of the ticket lines so I was able to buy the tickets online quickly to leave the lines behind. The popcorn was good. The movie was UNPLANNED. Excellent movie about a woman leaves a large corporation after working her way up. She won the court battle of course and they didn't make you sit through something you knew how it would turn out. Excellent throughout. It does show some bloody scenes and you understand what is going on while much of the actual procedure is hidden from view. Family and personal drama included. Very tastefully done. Glad I came to see it. Two thumbs up.

However, the same young man touching the seating screen for tickets, handling the cash of the lady in front of us and handling our debit card was also the same young man that picked up the popcorn scoop to fill a bag of popcorn. He then tossed the scoop back into the popcorn bin. I find this very unsanitary to say the least...

Normally I am not one to do reviews but this was the worse movie theatre experience I've had. We've been going to Azalea since it opened. When we walked up there was nobody in the booths, no signs or anything. Someone opened the door to tell us to buy tickets at the concession. When we got to concession the register wouldn't allow the girl to finish the transaction and while she was trying to figure it out there was probably 6 or 7 other employees just hanging out. Nobody helped her. Moved to a different register and finally got tickets. During the almost 3 hour movie, there was a group of 5 or 6 people that were very loud, cell phone flashlight on, laughing, talking and running in and out of the theater. NOT ONE usher came in during the almost 3 hour movie. Several of us tried to shush them but did not work. Everyone around them was very annoyed. When I went out of the theatre I didn't see one person that worked there other than the kids that were busy at concessions. When the movie was over we spoke to what looked like a manager to let him know what had happened and that no ushers were ever seen. He didn't say anything. All he did was get on his little microphone to tell the ushers to make sure they do their rounds. This was a Friday night dinner and movie with family, all 5 of us out together. Not a cheap night for 5 people at the movies. l understand that they cannot control their patrons but having ushers walk in throughout the movie, I would assume, would help with such instances. It went from an annoyance to a disaster.

I realize we went on a Friday night however, we waited in line just to get to consession for 25 minutes. Then it took another 20 minutes to get our order. We missed the first 20 minutes of the movie and the manager just says sorry for the wait. The movie itself was fine. I'd just say plan ahead.. Like way ahead of you want anything besides a seat.

Is it now customary to leave the lights on during a movie? This has happened twice within the last two months that I've been to this theatre. Last time it took an hour before someone went and told an employee. And then today I went to watch a scary movie and the lights were left on through the entire duration of the film, glare on the screen and all. I got up about 30min into the movie and alerted two employees that were chatting at the food counter. One of them followed me back to the theatre and said they'd take care of the issue.....however nothing was done. This theatre has a great location but tickets are so expensive that I'd rather spend my money for a higher quality experience at another cinema.

I love how the responses on here seem automated. In the review people say what they feel the movie theater should change. In the response the owner asks to let them know what they can change. Lol.. typical. Noone cares about your reviews. That theatre makes enough money where the owner isn't interested in your complaints. This is my main theatre too. I just accept things when I come here. Dirty theatre for example. Complaining will do nothing for you.

Went to see avengers endgame in RPX. I thought RPX was supposed to be a premium experience with the best sound, but we could barely here the dialogue over people opening wrappers and eating. Standard theaters tune that stuff out but not this RPX. The action scenes were also unusually quiet. This RPX theaters audio was much quieter than a standard theater. Very disappointed.

Unfortunately it wasn’t a good first experience for us tonight. My hubby and I took our son out to see Angry Birds 2 at 6:30. We came early to get snacks and get settled. As it hit 6:30 the previews came on and went on until 7:00! It honestly had us and even someone else confused. We thought maybe we were in the wrong movie because it was a long clip of a young girl and her hair. As soon as I went to find someone at 7:00 to ask, the movie starts... I’m not sure why they would have such long previews on a kids movie. After coming in early, then an extra 30 minute wait, it was hard for us to get all the way through the movie comfortably...
