Average theater, good part is they sell beer and wine. Nowadays I'm used to reclined chairs, so they have some catching up to do on that front. Very laid back atmosphere, pretty sure I saw someone walking in through the back door.

If you have any respiratory issues, I wouldn't recommend going here. The first theater we were in smelled like mildew. The second theater we were in smelled overwhelmingly like mildew. I just didn't breathe through my nose the entire time. The reason we were in two different theaters would be because they didn't bother to pay attention. Bought online tickets, inquired at front where to check in and the woman said the counter would take care of it which was wrong. Got our popcorn and proceeded. We were told to wait so they could finish cleaning the theater but they let other people seeing the same movie in not two minutes later. No offer of 3d glasses. After inquiry, we got our glasses and headed off. After being in the theater until about 310, someone came and got us and told us we were in the wrong theater, so we got to find seats in the dark and missed a chunk of previews. I actually appreciate previews.

Clean an attractive theater. Comfortable seating, 15 different screens. They offer senior discounts on tickets. Unfortunately like any other movie theater concessions are expensive.

We live nearby and come here often but our last 6 trips we were left straining to hear the movie, I have actually left my seat the last 4 times to find a manager because our entire theater couldn't hear the movie. After several formal complaints to management we have written off this terrible establishment. It infuriates me to spend good money and not be able to enjoy the experience! Besides there are cleaner, larger, nicer theatres that I would rather drive an extra 20min to gaurentee a far better experience.

If I could give ZERO stars I would!!! Even negative would be appropriate for this dump of a theater. After waiting in line for quite some time we were told we needed to claim our already purchased tickets at a different location. We were seeing Annabelle Comes Home (an R rated movie) with our 18 year old son. He had to provide ID to be admitted into said movie. After being rudely told that we could not enter the theater room without ALL of our party present we entered to find SEVERAL children already seated. In front of us were two very young boys (app. ages 3-6) along with 3 young girls (app. ages 12-13). Apparently their ID was not required! Throughout the entire movie the uninterested young boys watched YouTube and played games on cell phones the ENTIRE time. The young girls were also messing with their cellphones throughout the movie, shining flashlights around and Snap Chatting. 4 rows in front of us a guy was vaping, blowing puffs of smoke in the air as well. Upon leaving the theater we made the mistake of going to the bathroom! BIG MISTAKE!!! They were the nastiest, most disgusting restrooms I have seen in quite some time. Trash and popcorn all of the floors, no toilet paper and a bag full of women's used feminine products sitting beside a toilet. The stalls themselves were also gross with urine on seats and appeared to have not been cleaned for quite some time. The men's restroom (according to my son and husband) was much the same. Dirt and urine on the urinals with trash spread throughout. The theater itself was also very unkept. I spoke with a manager (Will) who did apologize for the inconvenience but did nothing to rectify the situation. As a matter of fact, he and another employee yelled down the hall to "Have a good night" and began laughing as we were walking away. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS THEATER! Customer service couldn't possibly be worse!

This place is really cool.tons of old school stand up arcade games from my youth,remembered well and played after school if you are like me,over 40 years old but still love playing games.only a few pinball machine.but if you played it as a kid,its here.and only 25 cents per game.cant beat that.a small handful of quarters and you could be there for hours.good time.check it out.i definitely will be back.

Came to this AMC theatre for a specific one-time movie showing rather than AMC Broadway. Have to say it's definitely nicer than AMC Broadway but a bit smaller. Had 10 theaters and a small concessions booth. Theater was fine, nothing extraordinary and ordinary "movie theater" seats (no recliners)

This is THE most janky theatre I’ve ever been to. Came to Myrtle Beach for vacation and decided to come see a movie to fill some time up. We saw the Missing Link, which was a great movie in itself. As soon as we walked down the long, weird, movieposter-less hallway and stepped into the theatre, we smelled a musty scent. It smelled like old and water damage.The seats were way smaller than I’d like them to be. It gets worse when we talk about the actual viewing experience. After the previews and special messages (which haven’t been updated since 2006 it seems) the movie screen actually, psychically moved & expanded itself to be bigger. But then, the picture didn’t adapt. I was sitting there, in the year of our lord 2019, watching a movie that did not properly fit the screen, black boarders surrounding the picture. Save your money. Go to the other theatre in Myrtle Beach. This movie theatre shouldn’t be apart of the AMC franchise.

We used a movie app to buy the tickets so it was faster to get in. When you use the app you bypass the lines and go straight to the person taking up the tickets. The people was very friendly at the concessions. The drinks and popcorn was tasty but, a little pricey. The seats in the movie theater was comfortable and the sound was good. I would go back and, I would suggest others to go as well.

Would not recommend. The place is super dirty. Popcorn all over the floor. We had to wait in line forever just to get tickets. When we got to our seats, the theater we were in smelled like urine. This is the kind of movie place you're afraid to lean back in your seat because you'll probably come away with lice. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Washroom was a mess! There were popcorn spilled on the floor and it was not cleaned up. We went to see the movie at 7:30pm. Theatre was ok but the washroom was very disturbing. Made me feel yucky!

Nice theater. Plenty off room in the lobby are. The theater rooms are nice, at least the one we went into. It was comfortable and pretty clean. The restrooms were clean and stocked. The staff was friendly enough. It’s a much larger theater than we have at home. If ours was AMC we would definitely do the monthly deal they offer for frequent movie goers.

Associate tried to poorly make a joke with me about my age not wanting to just give me my beer when my movie was about to start in less than 5 minute. Also, $6.29 for a beer!? Would only go here for matinee price. Pro tip to your staff, in a movie theater, since these are set timed showings, cut the small talk and just be kind. Simple. This way you minimalize someone missing for their paid showing.

I love the location of this theater in the Myrtle Beach Mall. This mall is not crowded so parking is easy. This is an AMC theater and they have a great loyalty program. The only major thing to improve would be for them to clean the carpets. It smells stale in the hallways.

Went here to see a movie and escape the heat. The theater was pretty dead at 3 on a Wednesday which honestly, was perfect. No significant problems and there were some bottled alcoholic drinks available for purchase. Only thing that would have made it better would be the reclining seats that many AMC theaters have.

Theatre was ok and somewhat clean. The prices where good for the area. However the snack area was a mess. The floor in front of the coke machine was so sticky your feet stuck more then i have ever been stuck to a floor. Also the selection at snack bar was minimal at beat for a larger theatre.

Sorry there are a few negative reviews, but read on. I live close by and enjoy having this theater "in my backyard". Yes it is a little older, BUT the staff and service people DO A GREAT JOB! Quality of sound (I''m an audio engineer) and the Digital Video Quality is as good as it gets. The seating may be a little older but everything in great shape and comfortable. Bathrooms immaculate and the popcorn is good!!! Everywhere has gone to the self serve drink format. They do sell "adult beverages" as well.

I was dragged to this movie theater by a friend against my will. It was much further away and I just did not want to go. What a sad sad little man I was. You can pick your seats at this theater...but not only pick your seats but the seats are amazing! Plenty of room for my fat but to sit comfortably, room for both of my arms. If someone had to go to the bathroom, even with my chair leaned back as far as possible, they could slip by with ease. I would encourage you to try this place out.

The movie was great but a staff member was terrible. A few minutes before the film started a very rude female employee came into the theatre and was yelling at the customers to move and open up seats. I’m sure most people would have been happy to move if the lady was nice but she was yelling and being very rude to the paying customers. This went on for about 5 minutes. It was very awkward. The funny thing was there was about 30 open seats in the room. She was talking to people like dirt. Won’t be back to this theatre and I heard several people say the same. It was the 1:45 pm showing of Avengers on 4-27-19. I can’t believe this company allows employees to talk to the customers in this manner.

Clean, large screen, Discount Tuesday's, great place ! Have a Premier membership. Nice theater, but the popcorn is fresher at the other AMC location in Myrtle Beach. That could definitely be improved. And moviegoers should close their cell phone screens when the movie is ready to start. The way the seating setup is, the light of a cell phone is very distracting.

Although this place hasn't been updated with the reclining seats, it still worth catching a movie there. Also the older African American lady (who's a pastor) provided the best customer service - which is sometimes rare in these theaters. The 4 stars are for her.

Hubby and I spent a vacation date night here on a rainy Wednesday evening, and enjoyed ourselves. There was a slight musty smell, probably just due to everything being damp from rain. Clerks were nice and helpful, prices reasonable, popcorn pretty good (not super fresh but not bad by any means)

Your standard run of the mill theater. If you're thinking of grabbing a meal while enjoying your movie, eat before you come because it's the classic concessions of popcorn, nachos, and hot dogs only. Theater room smelled "old" like moldy or something. I'd only view here again if our original theater was unavailable, like this instance happened.

This place is much better than the last time I was there. I think they actually switched company's? This theater is closer in line with newer theaters. Still have to say coastal grands Cinemark after their Reno is better but if you don't want to drive to far. This theater will be just right. Before it felt out dated and musty now it's feels brighter more modern and the chairs are passable. I think before they still had the plastic seats, now they are padded and cushioned to standards. Watched a 2 hour long movie and felt fine sitting the entire time.

I am never a picky person when it comes to places, I understand that things usually aren't the nicest or that there are bad days but this place.... was the most disgusting, foul smelling, dirtiest movie theater I've ever been too. The workers allowed stale popcorn to cover the counter tops where I couldn't even set my wallet down without it being in a pile of popcorn. I cleaned the counters for them. The smell was so putrid throughout the entire theater and it stuck with me the entire time we watched the movie, there was no getting used to that smell. The best way I could describe it was horrible body odor mixed with a dog kennel, mildew and and a fridge full of rotten food. It was a down right disgusting smell. I will never return to this theater and I'm shocked the reviews for this place are so high.

They sent me an email saying that I could get a free popcorn for my birthday. I gave the girl my email address and asked her if my account had a free popcorn and she said yes. Then she charged me for it. I asked her twice why it was so high and she just kept telling me that the discount had been put on. Horrible birthday experience. Thanks AMC!

Wanted to purchase popcorn bucket, he said not available, asked why, he said sold out. No one taking tickets or directing to theatre, bathrooms dirty. Popcorn all over floor in lobby.
