The 1st movie I ever saw at the Roxy was Winnie the Pooh. Tonight we went to see Christopher Robin. Great movie! Great, inexpensive place to see a movie as long as your like me and don't care if its been out for awhile.

The Roxy is a great local theater. They show feature films shortly after they leave there big name cinemas, for an unbeatable price. You can get 2 Tickets and a large popcorn and drink for less than the price of a single ticket elsewhere. I highly recommend it for families.

Wonderful, old school movie theatre where you pay only $3 to see the movie, and concession is unbelievably fantastic on the wallet. They play kids movies pretty often and it is a big deal if they get bored or play in the aisle. Lovely theatre and I highly recommend experiencing it at least once.

Our whole family enjoys this theater. From the box office to the final credits its always a great time every time. The cheap prices dont give you a cheap entertainment experience. We hope it doesn't fade away like so many other movie houses have. Always looking for the next feature.

It was my first time coming here my daughters had a great time watching the movie The only thing was I didn't have cash and this place only accept cash the good thing is it didn't cost me $20 to get popcorn and candy the prices are amazing there is no ATM on-site heads up

Credible Critic

Good "old fashioned" theatre, catering to both movies and live events. Movies are not the new releases, often are the ones being released after their runs on the big chained theatres. Cash only operation, tickets sold at a bargained price, allowing families with multiple children to take in a movies and snacks under 20 bucks or so. The decor is dated. Seats are a bit small. But... with low admission price, it provides a great value.

Nice theater, cheap seats and current features as well. The seats could be a little better though. Reply to owner: Have you ever sat in them for 2 hours +? They're just a little uncomfortable. Especially compared to other theaters in the area. Although, I think it's a good tradeoff for the price.

It's a great local theater. The structure is historical and magnificent. The prices are perfect at $3.00 a person to get in. The selection of candy, popcorn, and beverages are variable and priced just right. The employees have smiles on their faces and the seating is comfortable. Great place to go with family and friends or on a date. I enjoyed taking my daughter and we were relaxed in the air conditioning.

A beautiful cinema interior, very traditional look. The ticket booth outside and you enter in one hallway, past the consessions to the theater room. They have there own scolding mother to warn you about movie theater manners. CASH ONLY!! Definitely worth the cost though. Very nice atmosphere and the seats are roomy and comfortable.

The Roxy is the best. It's a throw back theatre experience which I like. Can't beat the $3 ticket price. The seats aren't as comfy as newer theatres but it's easy to get past that because it's such a cool place.

Loved the charm of this theatre. I felt like I was stepping back in time. The architecture was fun. And you cannot best the prices. I was able to get a movie ticket, popcorn, and a drink for less than the cost of a ticket at the typical movie theatre. The owner was the gentleman collecting the tickets and he has owned the place for over 30 years.

Let Roxy theatre take you back to a time when a night at the movies was magical! Now they aren't going to be showing the movies that were released today. Generally you will see a movie that is family friendly and has been out for a month or so. Best part is 3 dollars a person, young or old!

Very low prices for AAA movies, great for any excursion. Be warned, however: they do not accept cards, and tickets must be bought with cash. Also, for movie fanatics, the sound systems and balancing are serviceable, but far from the best.

Not only are the movie tickets very affordable (especially for a family my size, we have 8 people in our family) but the concessions are also very affordable, the movie complex itself is very well kept, clean and maintained and finally in addition to wrap it all up I had an opportunity to speak to the owner about the history of the Roxy Theatre and how Billy Joel's first live concert was right here at the Roxy and is also where he came up with the song "Allentown." We moved from New York down to here in the Allentown area a few years back and were/are not familiar as much with history in this region.

We love the Roxy and usually wait for movies we want to see to get to the Roxy. Tickets are cheap, concession prices are about the same as at the store. My kids love the old cartoons before the show and the “Roxy grandma who warns to keep your feet off of other peoples furniture. Always a good time.

Beautiful old theater that plays some of the biggest movies out there. All for the price of $3. The only catch is that the movies aren't in bigger theaters anymore. If you don't mind waiting to see a blockbuster or just don't have the cash for a $12 movie ticket, Roxy is the way to go.

This has always been a great place to go to see movies on the cheap in a nice warm setting. Despite the age of the building, the services are just as great as at the big theaters.

Affordable Movies!!! You can afford to get your snacks from the concession stand and see the movie. Love the lights. This is how theaters should be. No loud movie in the room next door either.
