Chris Young

Beautiful theater, staff was great

Andrew Rivera

Old-school movie theater. A cool spot that's right in the neighborhood but could use some updating/modernizing.

Cheryl Newton

This is an iconic site. Yes, so many people today do at home Netflix. However, getting out to watch a great movie is a good, wonderful thing to do.

Daniel Sislo

Cheap but outdated.

Mary Ashton

Me and the grands went to see Goosebumps, not crowded and reasonable prices

Chandreyi Mukherji

Fun times

Meghan DePonceau

Thanks again for the great service to you in the next week but I can come to you or something else that was my plan is the one that is not what to do about that I was not to do it was amazing to me to have the opportunity and the kids are going very public place first one

Gary G. Horn

Nice well preserved old fashion theater.

Shawn Caple

A great theater with all the style of the big chains but at a fraction of the cost! I can't say how much fun it is to walk down the main strip, grab some food, and then take in a movie. Good times!

Samee Ali

Cinema audio and visual quality is good with a nice size of screen. There are all the usual treats and popcorn available which ensures the movie goer has a constant supply of food while watching their favourite movies. Overall a good cinema, the seats could be Improved but are not uncomfortable.

To be completely honest, I have never been to this theatre...but hear me out... I have gotten to know the man that manages this theatre and I know with every bone in my body that this man loves films. He has literally put his blood, sweat, and tears into this. All dor the enjoyment of the patrons that DO actually come to this theatre. There arent many of these kind of theatres left folks. If I lived in the are, I would be there as much as I could. Don't let this be a case of "you dont miss something until its gone"....support this place and recognize what you HAVE RIGHT NOW.

George Laveran

It is the worst theater in the area due to the quality of the theatre overall, the staff, and their online properties. The staff members are rude and obnoxious, the website does not allow refunds, and the call to contact the theater has a 1.5 minute intro before you can even press a button to speak to a person. Terrible theatre all around.

Kieran Hicks

Just wanna keep it in business cause I like movie theaters, but the staff sucks

It is a different thing to be nostalgic about an old movie theater and another to do a merit based review of something. The theater has passed its age long ago. What is left is too dark and smelly cave like halls with an age old sound system and picture quality. The ticket prices are still comparable to a modern multiplex with everything way too better. Dont want to ruin someone else' movie going experience as we did, hence the review.

Andrew Schulman

One of the last great small independent theaters left. I've been attending this theater since I was a child, and it's never let me down. Reasonable concession prices and a lot of wonderful hometown charm. Looking forward to seeing what changes the manager makes.

Great theatre

Sheldon Ennis

Good food, not many people there, but staff is not the best. Also, the movie selection is not very good, and prices are quite high.

Eric Raigosa

Cinemassacre loves it! I love it!

Michael Smith

Small screens but great service

jaime salinas

Lee Rosenfeldt

Excellent historic theater in the heart of downtown Wayne with friendly staff and reasonable concessions. The classic architecture reminds me of the theater my uncle used to manage when I was a kid. It has a neighborhood feel that you don't get with the institutional soullessness of your local mega-multiplex.

Eric Clark

Clean, quiet, right in downtown Wayne. Combined with the great restaurants on N. Wayne Ave, this makes "dinner and a movie night" perfect.

Ed Brown

Barb Elliot

Great local theater in a historically important building that can hopefully be saved.

Jaden Goldstein

Nice place terrible staff one used racial slurs and kicked us out of the theatre

Jordan Desjardins

This theater is awesome! One of the last remaining bastions for those hoping to have a proper movie theater experience. The concessions are fresh and fairly priced, the theater is generally clean (cleaner than most I have seen anyway), and the staff are always knowledgeable about what the new big movies are and what is really worth seeing! I love this place.

Elias Jahshan

Ari Nichola

Bill Schneider

Good pricing for some new movies and standard movie snack fare.

Roy North

The only food options are candy, popcorn and nachos. And the popcorn sucks. They have hot dogs on their menu but were not serving any. I went out for pizza.

Danny Martinez

Horrible. Movie start time was 6:55 and I got there at 7:00. Employees did not let us in and said it was closed.

Tamela Saksa

Older theater, clean, nice staff.

Jeffrey Horner

Great theater! Once they finish planned renovations it will be even better!

Erin McGuire

Classic

Mr. Total Disappointment.

Quality was great, snacks were great, and seats were of questionable comfort.

Philip Murphy

This place has a certain charm about it. The staff is great. It may not have cutting edge equipment, but it definitely offers a good movie watching experience.

Daniel Martinez

Great experience. Cheap prices, good staff, and wonderful atmosphere.

Farpoint Toys & Collectibles

Awesome atmosphere, super cozy and inviting. A great place, trying to keep the past alive!

Arya Boris

Really cool place

Michael Harris

I would go back.

Christopher Mansour

Popcorn was old, half of the bag not cooked well. The fast and furious movie we watched was supposed to be 2h 40 min but we ended up watching 2h plus 5-10 minutes only. Some scenes from the trailer were not shown and I double checked with friends in case I missed it and they noticed that too.

Roosevelt F. Smith

Andy Pritikin

The theater manager Newt is an amazingly accommodating and wonderful person that made my family feel welcome and happy despite our special needs. Give this man a raise!

Brooke Catherine

Toni Darden-Brown

The price was better than newer theatres, and it was clean. The seating was the worst - so uncomfortable that I couldn't enjoy the movie. Now I will have to spend the extra cash at KOP to enjoy The Black Panther properly. This was my first and last visit to the Anthony Wayne theatre.

gabriel robinson

Great service and atmosphere the classical style really makes you feel at home.

ben tezuka

My husband and I checked out this theatre recently to see the Blade Runner sequel (epic--totally worth the trek and the long run-time). It was also great to see it in one of the last old fashioned, deco-glam, family-friendly venues left around! We also loved the theatre ambience, the comfortable, nicely tiered seating that meant I wasn't craning around a taller person in front of me, and the owner's personal attention and commitment to every detail of his guests' experience. Definitely a place we will come back to!

Robert Williams

The prices were just as much as a new theater. This place needs an EXTENSIVE OVERHAUL. The sound system is virtually non existent, the seats uncomfortable and the screens are soso. This would all be ok, if there pricing was appropriate.

Dimi Malls

Don’t hear anybody else and skip the mindless bad reviews. This theater is old school with a lot of history and one of the few places left as independent cinema. It’s more than 100 years old with historic architecture. Prices are fair for tickets and snacks. What I love about this theatre is that I feel VIP ever time I go there because it’s not crowded and you can watch a movie without all these people and noise around you. Yes it doesn’t have the 3D deluxe super duper sound system and other features that KOP has but you are not going to a cinema for this you are going for a movie and experience one of the last places with that kind of history.

Andrew McKeough

Great staff combined with amazing prices and a classic atmosphere! What else could you want?

D Martini

I hate to do this: small screen, low sound, uncomfortable chairs, but big theater prices for tix and popcorn. Pay to park. What a shame they can't negotiate a deal with Radnor parking authority. I will not return. And my motto is support local. Sad.

Steven Chamblin

Dope!

Transit Authority

Really turning itself around with new management and staff.

Sandra Binford

Old-school favorite! Delighted to be back!

sagetree201

Very stupid to start 3 movies at the same time with no staff!!!!

Sherryann S

Jordan EVANIK

Great for movies!! Save the theatre

Abby Fluck

i love it

A must check out

J Rag

Classic Movie Theatre with the Old Time feel. Love this place.

David Goodwin

Brian S

Great prices and rarely crowded

Seojun Park

Very good

Nicholas Goss

Great old theatre. They keep up with the big guys.

Ryan Henderson

Solid prices, cool staff. Great location - right next to a bunch of restaurants so it's perfect for dinner and a movie

Bonnie Frank Carter

Micah Snead

For a local, "small town" movie theater, this is a great place. Prices and access are easier than the bigger chain locations farther out in the burbs but the snack bar, facilities, seating, sound, and size are correspondingly sub-par.

Flim Films Productions

This is a classic hometown movie theater. Tuesday nights they have "Tightwad Tuesdays" and tickets are just $6! Its incredible. The popcorn is just right. They have haggendas ice cream and the usual sodas and candy. The customer service is what you would expect from teenagers. The projection/ image and audio is great. It's not IMAX but that's obvious. It's the place you get nostalgic or sentimental about. Great date place for new couples and oldies alike. Totally recommend for cinefiles and moviebuffs alike. Seats are very comfortable. Good leg room.

Horseling S

Great place for kids and adults to go see a movie. They have a great kids conbo.

Tim C

Great theatre with great staff! If they kick you out of a theatre, it’s only if you are causing problems. Plus, the tickets are cheap!

Nate Tracy

H Grillo

Beautiful Art Deco style with uncrowded theaters. Needs new seats and better management. Could be wonderful.

Mike Wynne

Highly recommended old school theater with crazy nice seats run by a wonderful manager. If I lived in the area I'd definitely be back often.

Jack Stubbe

The theatre section we sat in was dark, no it was absolute darkness. You cannot see anything after the door closes behind you. No small lights by the steps. Smelled musty like a cave.

Sean Beaty

New releases, polite audience, proximity to several restaurants.

Joseph Rossetti

I like this movie theater..I noticed a few on here have said that they need to renovate the movie theater....hmmm, maybe perhaps just a little..but I love the old school looks that it has kept through out all these years...please, keep it that way. Old school is always best. The main house manager is a cool guy..he has a hell of a good memory.

Peter LeBuhn

love it, great movies and they show old movies too.

Zoriana Witmer

I love this place, so many happy memories with friends and vamily. Highly recommended

Wesley Green

Great staff

Bill Middleton

Historical old theatre. Low prices on tickets and snacks..its like getting the popcorn for free.

Paul-Erik Raue

Popcorn wasn't any good. The theater is old and not up to modern standards as well as very cold. Definitely in need of updating. I hope they can raise the money to renovate, because it really needs to be modernized.

Tara Eckert

Michal Maj

Awesome old school cinema !

Rich Bader

Go see a movie.

Charles Sanderson

Geoff Alterman

Good location for a theatre on a nice street. Service is friendly and kind. Good place to share a love of movies. I know the people there do care and want to treat the theater as a second home for those who love the cinema.

Ian K.

Purvi D

It's smelly and low quality

Phyllis Harper

My husband and I thought we would see Brad Pitt's new movie, Ad Astra. We entered a dark theatre, the lights were off and the movie screen dark. After waiting approx. 15 minutes, no one could say what the problem was. We received a refund. Our first and last visit.

Great to return to a Theater with such a classic feel. I will be returning

Mike DeMeo

James Whltton

Place is extremely dirty and had horrendous odors. We couldn't stay, asked for a refund, we weren't the only ones. Men's room appeared to not have been cleaned in months, walls were a mess, no upkeep at all!!!

Leah Heaney-Forbes

It was average. Ticket prices were a little high, the theater was quite pretty with old architectural details and decorations. Standard/classic concessions offerings, though our popcorn was quite stale. The chairs are the classic old fashioned theater chairs that fold up when you're not sitting, however I did see a display of new chairs out in the lobby, so I'm wondering if they're upgrading? Picture and sounds quality were great.

Ani Diakatos

Old school reclining chairs, small intimate theatres

Matt Doms

Nice staff, beautiful old theater.

Ian Friedman

This is a fantastic local theater and one that I love going to all the time. They have a top tier staff and great management that has always been extremely responsive to my needs and any questions I've had. We had my daughters 6th birthday party there this year and she had a blast! They also have Dippin Dots which is unique to any theaters in the area. The best part is since it's local you can support a great community institution, while having a great time.

Kevin Norton

First time there so far everything was good

Kellie Whiten

Decent theater, but prices do not match quality of service. And very small screens.

Joseph Donato

Incredible theater - well preserved at almost 100 years old! Staff always works to make my experience here as good as possible. The concessions are great, and are much cheaper than at AMC and Regal. Absolutely love the manager - Newt. He always loves to talk about the history of the theater, and is a delight to see on my way into the movie. Definitely underpaid. Would highly recommend this theater to anybody looking to see a movie.

Ali Bittles

Easy access in the middle of town, the theater always has a nice variety in movies to pick from. Good staff and there aren't too many trailers which is great compared to other places that play 20+ minutes of trailers.

Donny Delco

Cheaper than KOP and less crowded. Great experience.

Sreejith Sekhar

Vintage

Dennise Bryan

The theater has very beautiful original 1928 character from the ceiling artworks to the Mosaic wall in the entrance. However, the seats don't seem to have been replaced in it's nearly 90 years of existence!! More cramped than 10 people in a two seat plane. Of course having your knees crushed ever 5 seconds makes is also tons of fun! More leg room and all the seats occupiable would be a great improvement.
