We went to a 7:10 show and placed a dinner order at 6:50. Our meal FINALLY came out at 8:15 which was 15 minutes before the movie ended. And it was burnt! Just awful. But at least I got my food. Some people got their food when the credits were rolling. We were comped our food thankfully. Apparently the new GM sent the kitchen staff home to save on labor. I won’t order a meal there ever again. I would not recommend this theater. Oh and the bathrooms are disgusting. Go anywhere else!

Horrible service. I have been going to movie tavern for years and each year the quality of the establishment has been dropping. Extremely apathetic and slow service it is borderline false advertising. Ordered one tankard, a sweet tea, a order of fries and a burger, the sweet tea and the burger never came, and as you have to pay up front now we were still charged. Lisa one of the managers however was very accommodating and set the bill right. All in all the servers quite simply don't care, the kitchen clearly are infantile and can't keep up with the orders. There have been several occasions where at the beginning of the movie they told customers that food would take an hour at least. On top of the the menu matches the service, in many cases pictures deceive you into buying into burgers not bigger that a white castle dollar menu, or donuts shown to be of normal size, turn out to be donut holes that could not even feed an infant. And still they are increasing the prices. Avoid this place at all costs, it is blatant scam and a shadow of its former magnificence. Piggy backing on its former reputation to cheat you and your family out your money. Changes need to be made, NOW before this place goes under.

It is really a shame to see a place with so much potential have so little to offer. Came up to the ticket window and was greeted with a "1 minute" as the employee finished answering her text. I was then told chances are we would be getting free movie tickets after the show because of their sub-par service. Long story short, is that she accurately warned me as drinks, food and even water were forgotten or brought out as the movie was on its final minutes. If any decision makers for this location are reading this, please change management, train employees and make this theater a desirable location in Flourtown as it was intended to be. :((((

Horrible experience. Ordered food at the bar around 6:30, movie started at 6:50. The food didn’t come out u till 8 and was cold and unappetizing. Other people in the theater apparently didn’t even get the food they ordered . Thankfully, the manager refunded our money for the food and probably the other 70% of the theater. The only reason for 2 stars, is the drinks came out fast and were good. Seems like the downfall is in the kitchen and management and not wait/bar staff.

Worst service ever. Been in the restaurant business 15 years. Takes a whole lot to put me off in terms of service. Sitting at the bar for 15 minutes. No bartender in sight. Hear them bs'in in the back. Gives us an attitude when we try to pay them. Do your job. Ridiculous.

This place was AWFUL! i would NEVER recommend going here. I waited the whole movie to get my food for it to never come. They even brought me a bill at the end to sign and charged me. I’m not the only one there were multiple people who didn’t get their food. I will never go here again. I would give this theater no stars if that was an option.

Food options unavailable. Staff standing around talking loud and laughing louder. Bathroom floor sticky and smells of urine. My food came out without any condiments (that were listed on the menu). I waited for the condiments after asking... but in a movie the food gets cold after a short period of time. Had to remake food. Comfortable seats. Deshaun my sever was awesome !

This was my very first time here and it was my last time. I’m not sure if they have some kind of scam going on or what. My total food purchase came up to 15.90. I paid with my debit card. The next day when I checked my account, I had an extra charge for 34.98. I don’t understand how that could have happened. When I called the theatre about it they sound so in concerned that one of their employees overcharged my debit card hoping that I wouldn’t notice. They told me to wait to see if it falls off and if it doesn’t, call back and they will investigate the charge. What?! How about being apologetic about your employee robbing me and asking me to for my information so that they can immediately charge back my debit card. Now I have 34.98 being held for I don’t know how long and then I have to fight to get my money back.

I sent an email to the regional office. This theater has great seating, very clean, polite employees. This business lacks ownership of mistakes, communication between guests and staff. If a supervisor is requested guests should not be forced to leave the theater when the movie is done to hunt down supervisors. Then to find supervisors arguing who should handle the situation. Employees who make mistakes should never be talked down to in front of guests, should never be forced to fix a situation that needs to be done by management. Management should listen to guests issues and fix them in a timely, calm, organized manner. I suggest skipping the food as charges between cards get confused, food arrives late, food arrives to the wrong person causing more confusion. My sliders were rock solid, my ice cream was melted when it arrived. The only available coke drink at the time was Cherry or diet, so no regular. It was the worst experience I have ever had. To the employee who served me, you did not do anything wrong, the fault is with your leadership team.

I’m not one to complain about service I’ve been a server for a long time but this was the worst service I’ve had in my life. Took 1.5 hours to get cold soggy food, 45 minutes Just for a water. We hit our button for service and they never came back. In the bathroom I even ran into a women complaining it took 2 hours for her group to get food and it was a party planned weeks in advance. And it’s just food dunked in a fryer I can’t come up with why it would take so long.

The evening at Flourtown Movie Tavern was terrible. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was the appearance. There was trash on the floor, from what I could see of the kitchen it was a mess along with the men’s room. We were seated and waited 40 minutes before a server appeared. The order was placed and they collect payment before food arrives. I guess this is by design, get money first. The drink my wife ordered was warm. The food arrived and the server literally dropped it on the tray and hurried away. The order was wrong, wings were not fresh. I had to hunt down a manger who did return my money but offered no compensation for our inconvenience The service, food and drinks are less then acceptable for the prices they charge, I will never return.

Tyler Jeinnings

Great place to watch a movie but dont expect any service unless you have an extra hour to wait for your drinks after the movie.

Samantha Garcia

Ordered tickets on their website 2 days prior and when we showed up people were in our seats. Apparently they had double booked them. We tried to find comparable seats and out of the ones he said were available, and we selected once again were suddenly not available. Waste of a trip out there and honestly the customer service trying to rectify the situation was quite lacking. Got out money refunded and will not be returning. Very disappointed.

Kristen Volpicelli

Went here for the first time today. Waited about 20 minutes after hitting the button for service before someone came over, and I asked for a menu. Took me about 5 minutes to decide what I wanted, so I hit the service button again. And again. And again. No one came back for the ENTIRE MOVIE. Not even the server who gave us the menu. Makes it hard to enjoy the movie when all you can think about is how hungry and thirsty you are. The seats were decent enough, but nothing special compared to how most movie theaters are now. Definitely would not come back. Only reason I’m not giving one star is because of the reclining seat.

My first time going here I was nervous because I recently moved & haven’t been to the movies since but I must say I go often now! I get excited every time

Updated: One of the first food providing movie theaters in the area. The food is mediocre and the service is mediocre. But the combo of food and movie makes it real easy. Seating is done prior to arrival so there is no need to feel rushed. Closing of the bill is usually done at the end of the movie which could be more flexible .

Aaron Wylen

They advertise gluten free pizz but were out. The server knew nothing else safe to eat. The service was atrocious, we got one of our 4 meals ordered, but random people kept trying to deliver stuff that wasn't ours. Movie was good, but the experience sucked. At least 3 other families complained. All got refunds and free tickets. Manager acted like it was a normal occurrence. Never going back so the free tickets were a waste.

It's great place to watch movies, but some days they mess up your food order or you end up having to wait during the entire movie for your food to come through. If they fixed this problem then they'll get a 5 star review, other than that they make up for it on 5 Dollars Movie Tuesday. The staff are very kind though so you'll have a good time regardless.

If there were 0 starts that would be my rating! Absolutely terrible! Food was awful, burnt burgers, soggy fries, missing sides, tasteless pasta. We were 9 people and everyone had a complaint. Starting with the awful odors you could smell coming up from the carpets everywhere, unclean bathrooms and the unfriendliest staff ever! They would just drop items in front of you and we had to pass along. We asked several times for napkins and utensil that never came. The waiter and the other people bringing items out would shout and speak so loudly I could tell you exactly what everyone in the front and back row ordered. It is a shame! I had been here several times in the past years and it was ok enough for me to venture bringing my out of town friends. NEVER AGAIN don't waste your money on an disappointing place.

Khalil Blount

While watching It2 I ordered a drink and some french fries. My drink came in a timely fashion. Around midway through the movie I told one of the workers I hadn't received my fries. End of the movie still not one fry to be seen.

ChrisDeAnna Browne-Wilson

My husband and I went to this place for the very first time and it was thee worst. The bartender was sarcastic. I ordered food in the theater, about 20 minutes into the movie the man said they didn’t have nacho chips to go with my tacos I didn’t order of nacho chips I ordered tacos . Then he came back and said they didn’t have any chicken for the tacos, So I ordered salmon salad he waited a good bit 35 minutes to come back and tell me that the salmon was frozen gave me back my money sorry for the inconvenience and walked away. This was thee Worst experience ever at a movie theater. I don’t think I’ll ever go back.

Victoria Ly

I'm sorry but worst experience ever. I get better service at a movie theater in an overcrowded area with not enough staff. We waited forever for our server to come, but that was understandable since it seemed that they were having a morning huddle of some sort. When she came she told us they only had drinks, pizza, and concession stand items nothing else. We ordered a pizza and our drinks before the movie started at around 11:10 am. The drinks didn't show up until after 11:40. (The movie started at 11:37 after all the ads before hand.) It does not take 30 minutes to make two drinks. We did not get our pizza until 12:18. An hour after we order. We are one of two or three shows that started this early in the morning, with our movie theater having a total of 6 people and no one else but us ordered food. Some how the kitchen put onions when we asked for no onions, and then they had to come back to verify if we were okay with bacon 40 minutes after we had ordered. That is why it took the pizza so long. The pizza came out barely warm. The crust was the thickness of a slice of paper, and well it tasted like paper.... Honestly, I have been here twice before, during crowded weekend movie times, and it wasn't bad. The food was actually edible then and everything came out in a timely manner. Today, made me never want to come back.

Edlisse Salas

Didn’t even get to see the movie. It was too late so I ended up having to get tickets all the way at the bottom of the theater. Clicked the button to order food and waited for 20 minutes. Everyone at the top of the theater was being served …

Luchania Mccullough

The experience was not too good. The waiter took my order while I was trying to watch the movie and I missed some of the movie. I had pushed the button for food long before the movie started. My nachos were sat down in front of another person. They also charged my card for an additional $48 and have been giving me the runaround to get my money back. Never going to this place again. Seats were comfortable though.

Daaimah Etheridge

This place is so unprofessional. It’s mad dirty too and is unorganized. My friend and I went to see the Lion King. The power went out before the movie started and we had to evacuate. Was promised a refund that never came. Then, a week later, tried to give us passes to see the movie instead. I have no interest in returning to that bum theatre. Tried calling the Flourtown theatre and phone keeps ringing. No answer. Emailed twice and was given the run around then finally told to contact corporate. Not sure what kind of customer service but I’m telling everyone to avoid this theatre at all costs. Worse experience ever.

Jonathan Potts

I love going to movie tavern, being able to eat at the theater is so nice sometimes. Took the kids to a morning show and got French toast sticks for everyone. Don't be fooled though, it's pricey, and the food is far from 5⭐, but its the ease and cleanliness and nice seating I go back for. Wait staff is shady courteous as well. They also have cheap movies on Tuesdays, which helps parents take the kids to the movies during the summer, without killing your bank account. A nice place all around, great for dates, out with friends or taking your kids out as well.

William Shanklin

It was OK. Food came out in a timely manner, but was not anything 'special'. Was a bit on the cold side. However, drinks were amazing, and it was a nice touch to be served while watching a movie. Nice huge screen, too!

Nancy Schraga

Like being served in your own living room. Comfortable reclining seats and very good menu. Theaters are small so all seats are good.

roslyn cady

Overly hyped movie theater ecperience. Overpriced icky food. Stick to the popcorn & sneak in your own candy & water!

Tara Rhett

Been Here Several Times Never Had Too Much Of A Problem . Decided To Take A Family Trip Here On Father's Day To See Shaft . Had Such A Horrible Experience , Between The Long Wait To Order , My Food & My Father's Came Out 20 Minutes Before The Movie Ended , My Husband Never Got His Meal . I Was In The Bathroom Several Times After Eating & My Father Was Up All Night With Stomach Pains & Bathroom Non Stop . There Was 1 Server That Took The Entire Theater Orders & She Did Her Best To Move Quick But That's Unrealistic When You Have A Full Theater ! Tried Calling To Speak With A Manager But No Luck There Yet . I Believe Everyone Has Different Experiences So Give It A Shot But I Wouldn't Recommend Ordering Food .

Danni

since management has changed at this location, the quality at this theater has gone down. Theaters are dirty and food is poorly cooked, staff can be very rude at times and the customer service has took a turn for the worse.

Stephanie Johnson

The movie was great. But the cleanliness of the place was much to be desired they need to really up their game if they want people to keep going. The womens bathroom was a mess so I'm sure the mens room was too there was paper and popcorn on the floor

Gil Cnaan

On the plus side, they have comfortable seats and great serving staff. However, the food, whatever is available, is absolutely terrible. Ever since Marcus Theaters took over, every time we've gone in, they have been out of several food items. The food items they still had ranged from so-so to inedible. I highly recommend staying away until such time as they fix their issues.

Steven Corbin II

Great movie theater and fantastic staff. Everyone is always to cheerful and happy to help. My family always enjoy our visits here and they a great range of food and snacks.

Ryan Beers

I highly liked this place it's AWESOME YOU CAN WATCH ANY OF THE CURRENT MOVIES THAT ARE OUT AS WELL AS GET FOOD WHILE YOUR AT IT WHICH I FIND IS AN AWESOME OPTION,THEY EVEN HAVE WAITERS/WAITRESS' THERE AS WELL

Michelle Cullinan

Good place for family n kids food good but expensive Some servers u wanna smack in the face while others r awesome

Irina Surimiyava

Love, love, love, this place. A Great selection of Wine a variety of food to order. Yummy salads and pizza delivered to Your movie seat or est at the restaurant right at the front door. A few screens to pick your movie. They have Senior discount days.

Stef Maddox

Im trying so hard not to be offended by how this place is run. They never have the rice bowls. The popcorn comes slow. The drinks even slower. Ive had my seat taken several times. To have to miss half the movie trying to get an attendant to move some snotty kid or some rude adult. Just ugh.

Robert Feenan

Reclining seats. Food and drink brought to you with a push of a button. Not a bad seat in the house. Get there early if you are planning to eat. So you can eat while the house lights are still on. Hard to see your steak in the dark.

Matt May

Service is very slow. Ordered before the movie and food came out cold almost an hour and half later. My recliner was broken but the seats are nice and the screen is big so there is no bad seat. Do not order burgers. Mine was way over cooked and cold like a cafeteria burger. Definitely going out to eat before watching the movie.

Sherria Moon

Came early and there was no one checking tickets than was told we had to wait 15 mins for the movie theater to get clean and that's fine. 15 minutes turned into dam near 45. Movie started at 10:45 we didn't get seated til 11:30. Movie started at 11:45. I can live without coming back here. The two women I did talk to was very good at informing us everything that was going on and keeping us updated on everything going on.

William Crawford

Terrible Experience. My wife and I went here to see "it 2". We placed a rather simple order straight off the menu at appropriately 9pm the movie started at 8:45pm. As I looked at my phone I realized that at 10:45pm the food had not come out. I get up to find the manager (Akeem, who seemed like he could care less) and explained to him what happened. To be honest the staff was more apologetic than he was. He goes to find out what happened and then proceeds bring me the order that was placed 2hrs ago. The bread was hard and the chicken was cold. To be honest I may never come here again. He gave me were sorry passes after I said "so there no thing you can do to compensate us for this" so now we can see a free movie but after this I doubt I'll be back. To be honest this location (theater 2340) is going down hill. If your gonna go to a movie tavern do yourself a favor and drive to collegeville. A more apologetic response could have saved this location from this review because I understand things happen. I guess that was to much too ask for. Sorry not sorry.

Chris Hartman

this place is great, if you are giving it 1 star you expect way too much from a movie theater with a bar and Applebees level food

DDT _

The theater itself is fine. The front dining area is nice, the two bartenders I’ve ever had know what they are doing. But the food is not good. It looks good on the menu, but is not at all flavorful, tasty, seasoned, or piping hot.

Johnson Jeannot

Took the family to see The Lion King. It was a pretty good experience. I just wished our seats were a little bit more to the rear as sitting down front doesn't give the best viewing experience. Food was ok. Service was a bit slow but the place was packed- so it's understood.

Angie Waters

Friendly servers great food. Unfortunately, they are being taken over by some other company. This other company is trying to take away the restaurant aspect of the business and make it into soley concession. DONT DO IT! Ppl go to Movie Tavern for the convenience of having dinner and a movie at once.

Shane Monaco

Probably my last time going here until noticeable improvements are made. The people were friendly, but the service and food negatively impacted my theater experience. Service was impeccably slow, as in I did not get my meal until an hour and 20 minutes from order which happened before the movie started. I had to leave my seat twice to ask for drink and food status, and a sorry was the best they could provide. By the time I did get my food, it was cold which would tell me it was sitting out for a while. I think if you plan to go to this theater for just a movie, you will be okay but if you want food and drink delivered expect delays. Since the drink/food service is a major part of this type of theater's experience, I would not recommend this Movie Tavern.

Paul Pelullo

For a business that attempts to attract you through their dining experience, this location is pretty poor. Despite being the first group to sit and give a basic order, it took 50+ minutes for our food. Drinks never came, salad was soggy, pretzels burnt from probably reheating, seats were broken. Scanning through the reviews, it looks like my experience is not the exception but the rule. I don't necessarily blame our server(s), I more blame management. Train your people better or get better people, either way your poor leadership is the real driver.

Greta Morgan

I enjoy the Movie Tavern because the facilities are comfortable, leather reclining chairs, spacious & good movie offerings. However, the food needs improvement. Friends, family & I have tried a variety of menu items and are not impressed. So now, we only enjoy the butter popcorn because they pop it fresh. We observed on a few occasions how people order food but half eat it! Hopefully the Movie Tavern experience in Flourtown will improve.

Kevin Johnson

This place started out great and has been consistently going down hill for over a year. Today was the final straw, we won't be back here again. As a note I will only be reviewing the food service since that is really the only thing that separates it from a normal theater. Today it took over 20 minutes for a waiter or waitress to come to us. We placed or full order at that time. It then took 40 more minutes to get our soda and water. And then 30 minutes after that our food. It should also be noted that my girlfriend's food was cold and my fries had obviously been out for a few minutes. Then when we got the check there were 2 sodas on our bill... It wasn't worth waiting another 20+ minutes to save a couple dollars so we just paid it and left. Not worth the trouble as the only thing that separated this place is now a detriment to the experience.

Sarah M

Oh my goodness...what happened to this place? It used to be spotless with great food and service. Went yesterday in about 4 months and the place is a DUMP! Lazy employees. Dirty everywhere. Takes forever to get service. My 2 kids and I had horrible bathroom trips at home after just eating popcorn. Popcorn was soggy and cold too. Had a soda which tasted very chemically. What a shame. This is a great movie theater we used to be excited to go to. Now probably not.

Christina Wright

Food was delicious and the server was good until he gave my 12 year old an alcoholic beverage that was her grandmother. They need to work on that. But overall good.

Liam Remington

Terrible food, my family actually got sick from it. Drinks are ok. Service was barely average. The bathroom smelled terrible at 10am?? The seats are extremely comfortable. Go home at for the movies, nothing else.

Corey Culbreath

Denied entry to the theatre because I had an infant in a car seat. It is Monday afternoon at 3pm, the theatre is EMPTY. Purchased tickets in advance online for myself and 3 children. My family comes here frequently and have never had an issue until today when the associate “Akeem” decided not to allow my family entry with a car seat. I have never been turned away before or notified of this “unwritten policy” as I normally sit the baby on my lap. I was told to purchase another seat for my infant if I wanted to come in but the problem is I had nowhere to secure my infants car seat. I was also denied the opportunity to sit in the handicap accessible area where my car seat could safely be out of the way of traffic. Again, the theatre was empty! And handicap/ accessible seats were available. Skimming though the other reviews I see that many of them are complaining of poor service. Shame on this theatre for the decline in service. I live in the community but will now travel a little further just to be treated fairly and with respect.

I love movie tavern. Need more upbeat professional staff at this location

Amanda Hujber

The Movie Tavern was having a bad night on the evening I went: there was no ice for drinks, we weren't seated until 10 minutes before showtime, our order wasn't taken until 20 minutes in to the movie itself - meaning we made it all the way through the previews and into the feature. Our order didn't show up until 20 minutes until the end of the movie, and it was incomplete (missing food, missing drinks, the food was cold). We were told after the fact that there was a "major problem" in the kitchen. It seemed they were woefully understaffed as well. This is understandable, things happen. But instead of alerting customers there was going to be delays before the movie began, they attempted to just power through it and leave the customers wondering what the heck was going on. Management handled the problem after the movie as best they could in my opinion. As a side note, the bathrooms in the bar area have seen better days. We'll try again because like I said - bad nights happen. But if someone were to judge based on the experience I just had, they'd be justified in never coming back.

Edward Campbell

Got there early so we could order with as little interruptions during the movie as possible. Food didn't arrive til the ending credits, and even then, the food was cold. We didn't get charged for the food, but it was still a very unpleasant experience.

Joe Sheehan

This place has gone down hill. The service is terrible, the place is filthy. I used to love movie tavern, but after the last two times there I have to say I'm not going back. You're lucky if you get what you order. We couldn't even get our drinks last week during a showing of It chapter 2... Maybe the one in Collegeville is better, but that's kind of far from me. Go to AMC or United Artists, don't give these people your money, they don't deserve it. Horrible experience.

Antonia Clanton

Horrible experience at this tavern! My husband and I arrive to our 2:40 movie at 2:45pm. We get to our seats and see that we are the only ones in the theater. I go out to ask the young lady at the host desk for a server, she then walkies for help but no response. I then leave wait a while and nothing so I proceeded to ask for a manager at the bar. The manager came out to greet me and I shared what has happened as the movie has already started. He then ensured someone would be in shortly. A young lady came and first thing she did was blame it on someone else as to why no one was in there, we began to order and none of the entrees we wanted to order were available so we had to picketizers if we wanted to eat. Food was not hot which is sad considering it was empty. Overall bad time at the Movie Tavern in Flourtown.

James Harper

I used to really enjoy going to this theater but it has really gone downhill and the management needs to wake up and do something about it. It took nearly 30 minutes for someone to take our food order and it then took another 40 minutes for half of our order to come out while the second half never came. We ordered a quesadilla and chips and dip! There were hardly any servers working and they spent their time running back and forth apologizing for food showing up late, and menu items that were no longer available. The staff seemed to be working hard, but with the kitchen running out of food and hardly anyone working, there is only so much they can do. The people running this place need to wake up and stop running it into the ground. There are movie theaters everywhere, what makes Movie Tavern different is the menu and service, both of which are lacking at this location.

susan estrella-eades

Absolute worst service I’ve ever encountered and zero interest in service recovery from the staff. I guess they figure they are so busy that no one person or couple that they neglect or treat badly doesn’t matter. It took 45 mins to get an …

Oluyemi Kayode

Good place to watch movies. This is my first time after it came under new management. The food ordered was actually served when movie was almost over. The straw was too thin for the drink ordered.

Jaime Kisthardt

Movie Tavern is such a genius sales model and always a wonderful experience. My husband and I love it for an affordable date night. The Flourtown location is our favorite, they have the best recliners!

irina surimiyava

We went to see "Downtown Abbey" in All its Glory. Big Screen luxury Seats, 4 miles from Home. We had Great food. It was a Chicken Ranch Sandwich. It was freshly cooked tasty and did not take too long to be prepared. You have your choice of French fries or a fruit cup with Grapes and Strawberries cut up small to snack on during the movie. You surely cannot complain about your seats since you pick them yourself. They are lounge chairs. By the way I ordered on Fandango. I could Not go on the day I picked. I was able to exchange the tickets for another day. The staff is Helpful and Friendly. They have Beer, Wine and Alcoholic beverages. The menu has plenty of different foods to choose.

Jed Shambeda

Super comfortable theater experience, great seating and wide aisles are pretty cool. Being able to order food, drinks, and popcorn from your seat is also pretty convenient. The food is a bit pricey as one might expect, and I've had it disagree with my stomach a couple of times, but it tastes good.

Glen Trush

A relaxing way to enjoy a night out. Your seats are reserved so you don't have to worry about sitting in the aisles. Enjoy a drink and a snack while you watch the movie in a reclining seat. Senior discounts available, check out the matinees too. Check the website for special Movies (oldies). Nice place.

We went to see IT: Chapter 2 tonight. The movie was great, but I’ll never come back to this Movie Tavern. Service was horrible! The movie started at 6:45pm. We ordered around 7pm (2 Caesar salads and loaded fries) and had to immediately pay (Collegevile Movie Tavern doesn’t do this). I told the waitress that we wanted to start with the fries as they’re listed as starters. It took almost 25 minutes before we received our drinks, mine longer than my boyfriends. By 8pm I pushed our button because we still hadn’t received any of our food. Finally our salads came, but still no fries. I asked the waiter where they were and he replied hold on. He then comes back with plain fries. When we told him this wasn’t correct, he took them back and told us to keep our button light on. Our waitress came and acted like nothing was wrong when we explained what happened. At this time, our waitress still hadn’t given us our change from paying. She finally brought us the correct fries, but still no change. Not once did anyone come to clear our trays or check if everything was ok. Besides the service, the people in the theater were rude and obnoxious. We had 3 teenagers in front of us who played on their phones the entire movie. We also had 3 girls to the left of me who talked loudly the entire movie. Yes I understand it was a scary movie, but there was no need to yell at the actors or discuss what was happening next. Not once did any of the Movie Tavern staff stop any of this behavior. If you ever want to go to a Movie Tavern...go to the one in Collegeville...100% better!!!

Rita43

I was there on 8/6/19 and 8/10/19, both times the food made me sick. The first time I couldn’t pin point if it was the food from the Movie Tavern or not but when I went back and had the same exact meal with the same exact results it …

This was my second time at this establishment and the first for my boyfriend. We arrived early, got amazing drinks at the bar and headed to our seats. We ordered and paid for our meals. This is where EVERYTHING went south. A few minutes into the movie people start receiving their food. Our food NEVER came! We chose this theater for dinner and a movie. We came with another couple and they had to send their food back because it was cold. Our server refunded the money for the meal but now we have to find a decent meal after 9:30pm on a Sunday! Immediately after the movie we went to find the manager but were surprised to see yet another couple who paid but did not recieve their food. We were told that dinner was pay as you go but majority of the customers paid AFTER towards the end of the movie. Following a back and forth with the manager he finally offered complimentary tickets. We all left dissatisfied as we had to demand more from them. The only positive thing is that the theater is new and has a great sound system but my overall experience was extremely disappointing. Good place to watch a movie. Bad place if you expect decent service. They bring food/drinks to your seat. The problem is that you only get decent service at the very beginning, before the movie starts. If you want a beverage after the movie starts, forget it. It takes them forever to show up to take your order, and then it takes forever for them to bring it to you.

The movie was good. The food was bad, the service was bad because the food came out very late and it cold. When asked if they cold warm it up? The waitress said no they don't have time.

Gave it a 5 originally when I first went. Food tasted off and didn't sit well with me the last time I was there this winter 2019. My wife had the same issue. The bathroom smelled like urine too. The seats are great though. Service was prompt.

When this place first opened it was great. Been going down hill since. My servers have been great, I don’t blame them, but there are huge gaps in how things are run. I am always early- near the first to arrive, but for some reason I am one of the last to be served. And I always have to check with someone about my food or if my server is even available to take my order. Tonight I waited 20 minutes with my light on before asking someone if my server was available. I again was near last to be served. Also, my check arrived during the credits. Something is not right here.

This place was so freaking cool. I’ve never been to a theater that serves full on food and drinks. Very cool experience, very friendly staff. When I realized the seat I purchased was too close; they offered to switch it out for me. Very cool. I CANNOT speak on the food because I only ordered popcorn, but the people around me seem to love it.

This place has continued to decline in service and quality since they opened. If you want a nice theater, good seats and a beer. Definitely go. But if you are looking for good food, skip it. The prices are crazy. 16 bucks for a pizza that is thrown together. I paid 8 for chips and 3 dips and the chips were stale. Dips were so so. My go to was the game day platter which is now up to 19 bucks! And it sucks. Sliders are basically a burger cut in 4s. I'm not wasting anymore money at this place.

Worst Service Ever! Been there three times and they struck OUT! Never again! Cold food, no beverage served, no napkins and I asked about sodas and napkins. Then you going to give a bill!! PLEASE!! Save that trash you offer for other people. Will not visit ever again. You should do the same thing.

The food is nasty my pretzel bites was burnt and the waiters are horrible and rude. This movie theater is very ghetto and you would think it would be nice since it's located in a nice location... If you plan on coming to this theater bring you own food to avoid disappointment and a waste of money smh.

The service has gotten worse over the last couple years but today had to be the worst experience and quite frankly, the movie tavern is cancelled for me. The movie started and no one came to take orders. Several customers got up to talk to the manager to send in the servers and ONE server came to take orders the entire theater. But wait, it gets better. Only three rows got fed. The other half sat through the movie hungry and frustrated. People were getting up and leaving while others continued to get up throughout the movie and complain to the workers. No one cared enough to accommodate the paying customers. About 30 minutes left of the movie a server came by to collect the menus and apologized. The manager didn’t even have the decency and courtesy to address the issue personally. People left upset and hungry.

The seats used to be super comfortable, but now they've gotten so used it's time for them to be replaced. The food has gotten better now that they've merge with Marcus Theaters. I've gone here maybe 25 times, and there's always something wrong with either my order, my reciept, or I never get my drink. What keeps me coming back is how close the theater is to my house, the ability to reserve your seat, and the seats are wide so you're not too close to your neighbors.

We ordered our meal prior to our movie. It took over an hour and a half to get our food and half of it was cold while the other half was poor tasting. This happened to Multiple people in the theater also. At the end of the movie there was a large group of individuals including us to get our money back for the poor food. This place is literally made for eating a nice meal while watching a movie. If they continue the way they are going they will be closing in the next year.

Russell Nash

My only complaint is that you pay for your food soon as you order. They hold your card or change until the movie is almost over and also when you pay with cash you don't get a bill or receipt. I've been to the movie grill in Darby and their payment system works much better.

We saw It Pt 2, had a beer and some popcorn. The seats are killer. Electric recliners. Had a great time and will be back.

If I could give no stars I would... The Flourtown Movie Tavern is that it is deplorable! From the stench of stagnate water smell from “cleaning” to the dreadful service leads me to say that someone from corporate or regional management needs to visit and redirect this location ASAP! My family and I went to see “47 Meters Uncaged”, last night and everyone that worked at the Flourtown Movie Tavern should have been caged because at least we would have known where they were. We waited in theater 3 for 30 minutes and not one person from the wait staff came in to see if we wanted or needed anything! I had to get up and walk all the way to the ticket counter to see if we could get service in our theater! The lady that I spoke to was apologetic and radioed for someone to come into theater 3 to take orders. I went back to my seat and another 15 minutes went by and NOTHING! So, my husband got up to see what was going on. He asked to speak to the manager. The person he spoke to opened a door that lead outside and what do you know, a quarter of the employees working that night were outside on a smoking! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! When my husband was finally able to speak to a manager he was completely unmoved by our complaint. No apology was given what so ever! Who runs a business like this? This location needs to be shut down until you can get that staff in order or hire all new people. I have never experience such inadequate service in my life! The bathrooms are gross! I actually slid across the floor in SNEAKERS!!! My four-year-old son can clean better! This location is an utter disappointment.

Walked in up to the bar no one spoke. Ordered a double shot. That was the only thing right besides the movie itself. One of the worst experiences at a movie theater. Drinks were watered down. Food came out almost 40 minutes after we ordered it. And then it came out cold. Had my light on for the entire length of the movie. And for no extra help. Bathrooms were dirty. Never going back to this location again.

If you haven't been here yet, you must give it a try... if only for the comfort of your own recliner chair! You get your own reserved seat that you can purchase ahead of time. If you get a rewards card (free to sign up) you can get seats without a service fee. (Otherwise, there's a service fee of around $4-$6 per ticket.) The app is simple and free! They have specials too so take advantage!! The reason for knocking off a star... the food is pretty terrible. The service is slow and it seems their 'system' is always down! The last 2 times I've gone, their guns to check us in were not working. This causes unnecessary delays and backed up lines. I didn't even like their mixed drinks. How do you mess that up? Not sure... wish I could ask the staff myself. The chips and dips were kind of stale tasting. The pretzel bites were a bit greasy and salty. The french fries were room temp and soggy. The nachos were over dressed. Those were just the starters! The main stuff we ordered were worse. Thank God they offered free popcorn that night... we filled up on that! So to sum it up... eat before or after you go. Order popcorn, water and/or beer. Beyond that... nope. Just nope. I do continue to go back though for the stadium seating, comfy leather recliners and assigned seats (so you can arrive right on time). Bring a blanket or jacket! It does get a bit chilly!

Getting better, had drop off but improving nice Male waiters

Do not plan on eating here as there likely isn’t food or communications. Arrived for a 5:45 Movie and ordered at 6 pm and was asked to pay in advance. By 7 we finally were able to speak to the server as only our drinks ever arrived. Around 7:20 our server informed us that our food did not come as they ran out of beef and chicken wings. We could place new order but the movie would likely end before food arrived. Had to then wait another 10 minutes for a manager to correct the bill before we could leave and seek dinner elsewhere.

Michelle Brice

I love the idea of the theater, they offer so much but tonight will be my last time. The service is so bad and most of the staff is unprofessional. Last 3 visits I recieved poor service. From Not getting a server until the middle of the movie to not getting my order at all. I'll stick with the regular theaters from now on.

Fran Fenstermacher

I went to Adventures Endgame it took an hour and a half to get our meal. I asked for no beans on my nachos there were beans. I let that go because of a large crowd. I went yesterday waited 20 mins for a waiter and ordered nachos no beans. The waiter repeated it. It was delivered with beans. An hour later they showed up looking a mess with 90 percent of the cheese on one side. Seriously it's not rocket since to make nachos!! The theater is comfortable but don't count on the food service.

Megan Wetzel

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We arrived and no one ever came to get our order. I had to press my tray button to get service. Even then, it took 40 minutes to get our drinks then they didn’t come back until I had to push the button again. Then our food came out 10 minutes before the movie was over! We decline the food and asked for our money back. That took another 20 minutes. There was garbage everywhere in the theater and the bathrooms were a mess. For as much money as you pay for that experience you should have top notch service. Skip Flourtown and go to Collegeville.

Lamarcus Darden

My first time here. Let me say this place was awesome. Me and my girlfriend watched black panther here. The workers were friendly and helpful.

Kim Kaffey

The movie was awesome. Our server was as well. The food was extremely overpriced and not worth the money. Our quesadillas were supposed to come with salsa and guacamole, but only came with sour cream. The salads were swimming in dressing which made it inedible. Definitely won't go back for food.

This place has been going down hill. The service is so bad. The movie started and the waitress didn’t bring our first order out till 20mins into the start. Our second order of two beers didn’t come out till 15mins till the end of the move. Also we had to find our waitress to get our final bill. And we weren’t the only ones waiting for our final bill. The employees at this Flowertown Movie tavern seem very unhappy. My GF and I will not be going to this place anymore.

Fitzpatrick Stacey

The theatre is clean, the reclining seat are roomy and comfortable. You get your menu and your food is served at your seat. A little drinky if you like. Go on $5 Tuesday and you get free small bag of popcorn. This is a great girlfriends day out or family get together.

Fayla

My son treated my son and I here for my husband birthday. It was our first time. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Michael McGeehan

Really bad service, had to push that blue button several times for incorrect or missing orders. 25 minutes passed one time after pushing button before server arrived. Plus the food was not great and overpriced. Volume was too low in the theater. Won’t be back.
