Sweet time. Really nice staff. Clean place. Lot of nostalgia......

E. B. Keough

Great, great films. Just don't try to buy a ticket five seconds after the Coming Attractions start, or the tin-plated prick of a manager will run you off.

jim fowkes

Many interesting and quality movies. Walk to many fine restaurants. Confortable seating. Friendly staff.

Scott Wilson

Not a huge movie fan, but I do like Independent, Foreign and smaller scale movies. County Theatre is a great place for watching such movies. Theatre slides in between small family shopping and local owned restaurants. Quaint, quiet and a great night out.

Al Coburn

Nice local town theater Great to enjoy it instead of The big mega theater's

I can almost always count on the County to have movies I am interested in seeing. These movies matter to me. The theater itself is also a treasure. Doylestown is a lucky town!

Mark Lacatena

Great Art House theater with NT Live, classic films on summer nights, and first run films.

Maria Gardner

Joyce Hughes

Wonderful theater

Santos Diaz

Love this old school movie theater!

Stewart Stumpo

Wonderful old movie theater. Probably best for people who are middle-aged or older. The movies start on time and the advertising prior to the movies is quiet and tasteful. Members get a great discount on tickets (I paid $6 for a first run movie last Sunday.) The only downside is parking in Doylestown. Get there early to find a parking spot (free parking on Sunday.) There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance of the theater.

Jack Lafferty

Mr Smith goes to Washington. Great movie. 80 year old movie shows that politic hasn't changed.

Mike Seifried

The County is a terrific addition to the Doylestown scene. Run by a non-profit, the County offers a great alternative to the suburban multiplex. High quality movies shown on state of the art digital equipment.

Judy Salaba

It was terrific. They always have great movies.

Cindy Alvarado

A big part of the Doylestown community. We love the selection of movies and different kind of snacks. Looking forward to the expansion project to make the theater bigger and more accessible.

Diane McGrath

Good local theater. Reasonably priced, friendly. Small, very small and first row needs to be removed. Way to close to screen.

Michelle Crunkleton

Beautifully restored art deco movie theater that shows an interesting selection of art house films as well as classics, and other films

Kathy Emmons

Always a delight

BJ Murphy

Movies are good, but some of the customers talk during the film because they think no one is near them. Also I don't like when it's crowded

Judith Cullen

Wonderful place to watch a high quality film on a cloudy cool afternoon in Doylestown.

George Williams

Some fine independent films shown here. Plus, it's a twin theater with a good spread of show times. I go there often.

Jess Swales

Always a fun place to go!

Michele Fina

Very cute old theater that brings back alot of good memories. Lovely place!

Mark Eichelberger

I love the County Theater. The staff are always nice and pleasant, and I enjoy seeing many of the art house films that play there. We are members and the member price for films is a real bargain. The two theaters are a bit small, since the main theater was split into two many years ago. But that is a minor issue, as I have never felt uncomfortable or cramped in either. Both theaters have digital projection and great sound.

Suzan Bartels

This is the one theater that I can always count on to be showing films that will interest and entertain me. Even if it's something I haven't heard about, it's dependable for my tastes. It's a lovely old theater and even has wonderful refreshments!

Susan Maslow

Great movie choices and old art house feel.

Laurel Gonsalves

Friendly community vibe. Mostly a nice selection of films.

Daniel T Gramkee

This gem of a theater is about the only one I attend these days. The staff and patrons understand what a true movie experience should be about. Please, never change that!

Rob Herion

A wonderful small-town movie house with 2 screens showing films you won't see at the mall super-plex cinemas. Always fun to stroll the neighboring stores and grab an ice cream after the show at one of several tasty joints.

Kay Z

The theater is nice. People are very helpful. Handicap parking out front. Handicap bathroom on the first floor. However, the seats are a bit snug for larger people.

sharon yerkes

Serena Sellers

Nice theater with thoughtful movie choices. Not the multiplex.

David Sq.

This theater is a national treasure. I don't go to the movies much but when I go I like to go here.

Steven G. Safran

Wonderful little theater and a great way to experience and enjoy small town America as it probably was in a past more innocent age. They usually only play excellent high quality films that may have limited runs so it's a pretty safe bet that whatever you see here will be an excellent choice and a film that you may not have the chance to see elsewhere. This is where I saw La La Land, Moonlight, Hell or High Water, the last 5 Coen brother's films, Boyhood.....etc. Wonderful. No mass market crap here ....just great films for those who cherish cinema. Very grateful for this cultural gem and feel fortunate that we have something like this close by.

Daniel Good

Great art house theater. Wonderfully curated selection of films that you won't be able to see on a big screen anywhere else. They show both new films and cinema classics. Open to the public but also takes memberships which grant discounted tickets. Has only two screens and a somewhat limited number of showtimes. Serves concessions at more reasonable prices than the large chains. Also has sister properties in the Ambler theater, Hiway Theater & Princeton Garden Theatre. Hosts periodic film lectures and discussions for classic films.

Lisa Burton

Good local place to watch movies that you might not see at other places. Membership available but not necessary to purchase tickets. Membership gets you discounted tickets. Sometimes special showings . Check their website for showings if needed. You can purchase tickets through the website too. Great snacks and coffee available.

Lawrence Matteo

Dirk Devlin

Membership is the best way to go. You will love the variety of great movies that the County presents. You will also be able to use your membership at the Highway in Jenkintown the Garden Theater in Princeton and the Ambler Theater. With the expansion coming to the County, now is the best time to join.

Kevin Black

Excellent theater, love the classic movies. A credit to the region's taste and appreciation of film. It's a shame that some people living in Doylestown for 40 years can't recognize the cultural value of this nonprofit theater in their own town. If you want to see Iron Man 6, it's on 10 screens down the road in IMAX 3D.

Nick Metta

Friendly staff, comfortable seats, family/kids friendly.

Jennifer Markee

We went for a childrens private birthday party and it was really nice. Great idea for a birthday or maybe even a work event.

Nan Welch

Great coffee, biscotti and excellent film!

Daniel Loss

The County Theater is a great vintage movie theater that takes me back to when I saw my first movie on the big screen (the original Star Wars in 1977). It is well maintained and runs smaller budget movies that generally rely more on story line and less on special effects. If you want an experience of what it was like to go to a movie before the age of megacineplexes then you should make the time to go here.

Alexander McCaig

One of the best theaters I have ever acquainted myself with. You fall in love the moment you buy a ticket and punch yourself through the round window doors. The crowds are respectful and always appreciate a good film. The county delivers again and again.

James Dinn

I love that they've restored the County Theater. I only been here for the annual Monty Python PythonFest, but every time I've been it's been great! They also have an accessible bathroom in the lobby.

Karen Marie Dicampello

Charming old theater

Shotiko Edisherashvili

Great employees and the place just gives of a classic feel to it.

Ken Kaplan

Best community movie theater around. Low prices and nostalgic atmosphere.

Amy Shafer

I love the diversity of movies that they show and the staff is genuinely friendly! Prices are reasonable and you can buy tickets at the theater or online. Looking forward to my next visit!

stacey metzler

I'd give it a 5 if I didn't have such a trek to the bathroom.

Patricia Darrah

Wonderful gem of a theater in our neighborhood.

Andy McPhee

Best theater experience in the entire area. Fantastic movies, classy snacks at an extremely reasonable price, comfortable seats. Just wonderful.

David DeFebo

Jim Villeré

Always excellent and getting better.
