Come Short selection of movie its a popular movie platform. Service I experienced was laid back , but on time. Very good when I saw " once upon upon a time in holly wood" at a wpm showing on Sunday.

The movie theater was okay a little outdated is all. FYI there is parking across the street in the parking lot right next to fresh grocer. With a validation it says $4 but it's a catch-22 and getting out of the parking lot.if you pay on the bottom level is $4 if you drive to get out of the parking lot you need to insert the ticket that they give you from the movies then insert the actual parking ticket and it will come down to $3 but you must pay with a credit card.I feel that they get over on people a lot and a lot of people end up paying $15 to get out of the parking lot because they don't want the hassle of figuring it out. just wanted to put it out there cuz they need to be exposed for getting over on people with parking!

This is the only movie theatre in University City. They have Tuesdays half off deal, which is a crowd favorite. If you can, but these tickets in person, maybe a day ahead so that you save on the service fees. Their ticketing kiosks, especially the one outside the theatre makes it easy for one to buy tickets. Although, these kiosks appear to be out of order for most part. They have recently made some changes:- 1. tickets have seat numbers assigned to them, so book ahead of time to get a seat of your choice. 2. You can not carry a bag into the theater, unless its the size of a small side sling bag or handbag. This means, that if you are headed to movies straight from work or classes, you will have to figure out a place to keep your bags. The seats don't recline much, but they are comfortable. I prefer this place for its ease and closeness to my work place and home. Personally, for the same price AMC has a better luxurious experience.

Great experience watching The Avengers End Game. It was really a great time here. One of the longest movie I watched but not bored. A little tired because of the seats. So, I take a star out for that and 1 star for ok volume.

Busy, clean, well managed theater. Good seating, sound, and multiple refreshment stands. Serves alcohol and has security on site along with UPenn police outside. Parking garage is across the street. Septa routes are close by as well. Only major nitpick is the bag search policy. Anything bigger than a handbag or purse is not allowed. Dumb considering, it is a University campus. But it is a corporate office policy... Thank you movie shooting jerks....

I liked this theatre. In terms of how the theatre looks and feels, I can't complain. The theatre was clean and the chairs were comfortable. The movie and the sound was great. I really liked the experience and I think I'll put this theatre on the top of my list for next time I have an itch for a good movie going experience.

Chairs are pretty comfortable and theater has always been clean. There's also a great deal with the parking garage in front if you buy movie ticket. Will be coming back!

I live in between this theater and the one at Riverview Plaza. This one definitely beats the Regal Cinema at the Plaza. Although it is smaller by a large margin, this theater is cleaner, friendlier, and overall better maintained. Best part about it is the bar! Can't go wrong with watching a movie with a cold beer. There has been a few occasions where people will talk or have shouting contests during movies and staff does nothing about it. Other than that, I'd recommend it.

I like going there it is nice. And they have $5 Tuesday. I will go there early in the morning and enjoy. The food is too high but I always eat before I go in. Try it. You cannot beat it.

I had a very poor experience two out of the three times I went here. They were not accommodating at all with bringing a bag into the theater. I understand that they have a policy but they don't follow it consistently. I use the same bag all the time and one time they said it was fine to bring into the theater and another time they forced me to take a refund because the bag was arbitrarily too large.

This place has been around for a while ( changing names a couple times). Currently it's a Cinemark. I really like this movie theater due to it being slightly cheaper than other places and it having a well known discount day. Offerings are typical of a movie theater but they also serve gelato, alcohol, and have a lounge area. Where you can buy "real food" and additional alchohol from. Movie seats are comfortable, but it'd be nice if they reclined also. Definitely a place I'd come back to.

If your bag is too large you won't be allowed in the theater,so being a small bag or small back pack. Also it was pretty cold in the theater and warm in the hallway.

I go their because it's down the street from my job. Tuesday is 5 dollar day. The theatre is big with lots of seats. You can choose your seats when you buy your tickets. Concession stand has a great selection of treats. I rarely don't see a movie without popcorn and a soft dtink.

So I was supposed to be going to see captain marvel at AMC broad street 7, but there seating was filled. So me and my friend and sister went to this place. I thought that this place was going to be bad, but after this experience I learned to eat my words. This place is clean and the staff is very helpful. Nice and spacious and the seats are leather and lean back. If you plan on going here, it will be worth every penny.

Love the location neat UPenn, however this place gives a slightly old feel. Despite it, the place is clean with 6 screening rooms. Do take the advantage of Tuesday ticket deals if you can.

The friendliest staff I've ever encountered at any movie theater. Everyone was helpful and happy to be doing their jobs. Plus, I'm so impressed that the theater has a lounge with a full bar. And next time I come here I'm totally ordering gelato!

This is usually a cool place to go especially since University City is packed with surrounding restaurants and other pre or post movie treats. My last visit was pretty scary we were in the lobby as my nephew sat his book bag in the chair and walked over to look at the poster for the upcoming films. Security decided they wanted to get into Rambo mode knowing that this was just a kid who irresponsibly left his book bag in the chair. This kid is no terrorist. The way they approach my little nephew unfortunately stirred up my husband and security felt they had to argue back and forth instead of just professionally asking us to leave and escorting us out. I was trying to reason with the male security guard but the female security guard who was the most unprofessional of the pair, continued arguing as if she forgot that she was a professional at work so I totally blocked her out and was trying to reason with the male security guard who seemed at least a little bit more reasonable. By that time my husband was pretty upset and I was trying to diffuse the situation being that these are gun-toting security and the last thing we need is another incident. I was very upset because we are African-American and the last thing I want is for my little nephew to have a negative view or even fear of any type of law enforcement. I feel that they could have diffuse the situation instead of egging it on. I love the movie theater, but they should definitely hire professionals and not power-crazed gun-toting security guards that want to approach a kid instead of asking the adult whose bag is this.

Loved the movie theater. Parking is excellent, especially because of the parking facilities right across the street. And of course validation of parking. The atmosphere is excellent at the early bird, in the morning. Not crowded, more seating opportunities to pick out.

This is the best theater in town if you're needing to see a blockbuster. Get there early on weekends (the place gets packed) The seating is incredibly comfortable and the snacks are good as well.

Long lines, no servers. After spending 50$ when I asked for water I was given 'courtesy cups' instead of a real one. Theater was comfortable tho.

Staff is great..Tuesdays are perfect for enjoying the little things in life if you're budgeting. $5 movies are in full effect here! Theaters could definitely be more clean Between showings. Nothing like your feet sticking to the floor and stepping on popcorn before you even had a chance to accidentally bless the floor with your salty buttery, stuck in between your gums favorite movie snack. Whelp, it's all part of urban movie the experience... I guess...lol

This theatre is alright, but the bag policy makes no sense. If it's really for security reasons then just search the bags, especially if it's a paying customer. Hell, you could even create a locker system to store the bags so the theatre would make more money, but I guess that's not an option. I had to hide my bag on the 40th street roof and risk it getting stolen simply because I, a paying customer, couldn't watch a movie with my friends while wearing it, and I offered them to check it multiple times. The reason I had the bag is because I am a student.

I like they finally let us reserve seats which makes it easier to simply book in advance and arrive when the movie starts not 45 mins before to get best seats. I wish they had more food options to enjoy while watching the movie

I go here fairly often and it's always a good visit. Friendly people at the desks, and I love that you can reserve your seats before getting in the theater. Food is similar to all movie theaters food, although they do have a cafe that serves more real food (but it's only open certain hours, so dont expect that for late night movies!)

The remodel is really nice it’s a shame its really dirty the chairs are nasty and so are the bathrooms I went into the bathroom and walked out the water didn’t even work and there is Pee all over the floors me and my family left because we did not want to sit in those nasty chairs with old food between them me and my family will never come back here!

Avoid!! The rudest women work here. We wanted to watch a movie and had a small lightweight backpack and were told we couldn’t come in with it!! Another guy booked his ticket and was told that he couldn’t go in with his bag and that there was nowhere to store it!! We asked if she had a tape measure to measure our bag and she said ‘i know what 12” looks like’ turns out when we went across the road to the CVS to measure our bag she doesn’t actually know what 12” looks like. I guess you probably wouldn’t know what a 30cm ruler looks like if you never went to school.

It’s really weird that they do not allow ANY bag, even an almost empty canvas bag that is small and clearly not hiding anything. I have to fold the bag and put it in my pocket to get in, which is absolutely meaningless and absurd. Are they only allowing people who live next door or who have a car to store their stuff to see a movie here? As a student I always have to carry my laptop and books, and every time I feel like seeing a movie on my way back from school, I would have to go back home to leave all my stuff and walk back to the cinema. This is really annoying and it’s like they don’t want us poor students as their customers.

My family always chooses this movie theater! I love it. The new bag policy is kinda crazy because now you have to lock your purse in your car and can't bring it in. Only problem I have because my things can get stolen so I just leave it home when we go now to avoid problems. The staff could be a little friendlier but I still like the theater it's self it's always clean.

People work for a living and have to bring bags to work then coming all the way here to see a movie and pretty much get kicked out (mind you after buying tickets) for having too big of a bag that's supposed to fit in a shoebox is a joke. Never coming back here
