This Movie Theater corresponds to the category of Movie theater.
Not the biggest screen. Sound was too loud at times. Staff were welcoming. Price was ok. Conveniently in centre of town.
Nice place for a nice movie with family and friends. Food and drink is pretty pricey though.
Has assisted listening devices for those that need them
Just your average mall theater... a couple nice touches, is that they have a small seating area near the concession area with tables, and various seating past the concession area.
Need to get with the assigned seating. Service was slow. Need to have a better food reward program.
I saw Love, Simon here a few weeks back, and the service was great. The box office worker was quick, the concessions people were friendly, and it was an overall pleasant experience! Nice Job!
Most amazing theatre I've ever seen! Spacious, great seats, and friendly staff.
Good theater, occupies the top level of the mall. Typical regal in terms of offerings and pricing goes.
Fantastic stadium seating, helpful staff. They don't pester you to sign up for a regal card if you say you don't have one. I love this place for movies
Go for a movie, have fun.
Decent theatre to watch the latest blockbuster movies. Seen a dozen movies here since moving to Portland. Easy to get to via bike or max or walking.
Good beer selection! Friendly staff.
Just a movie theater. Sell REALLY expensive food and drinks to you. The seats aren’t TERRIBLE. Let’s just say I’m unimpressed.
Nice place in the middle of downtown to watch movies and shop
It's a movie theater in a mall. The concessions and tickets are nice and pricey. If you can find a Google Offers or Groupon discount you'll be much happier. The chairs in the theaters are comfy and well taken care of.
Nice and clean, the surrounding area is nice as well and the theater is open late so you can go and watch a movie late night at 10.00 PM.
Very positive atmosphere
Comfy theatre in the City
Suits well for me
Situated in the heart of downtown, it makes it easy for students like us to catch a movie!
3 stars because some adds prior to movie were louder than the movie.
They wont let you charge your phone but at leaset theyre nice about it
My favorite theater to see new movies in PDX. Audiences tend to be kinda small, which is great for the movie watchers.
Small clean theaters, bathrooms are right in front a little hidden could be cleaned more often
Went to see Venom. The crew are always friendly. My wife is disabled and they ask if she would need assistance. Very nice. Thats why we like to come here.
Clean theater, great staff!
A great movie experience you'll enjoy to the end.
Nice experience
I've actually enjoyed seeing movies here the last few I've seen. It's quick to buy tickets either at kiosk or box office, concessions are fast too, and the theaters have been pretty empty and I've had quiet audiences. Overall been a good experience.
the best part about this Regal is the location. Nothing like hanging out downtown and then catching a movie to finish off your day. The theater is clean as all the Regal's I have attended are, but other than that, its just another Regal. Movie, Drink, and Popcorn will set you back about 35 to 40 bucks just for two people. So if your on a budget, make sure the movie your seeing is worth the buck.
Ok
Clean and well maintained, but also never too busy!
Nice theater clean wish they had some better food choices but it's a theater.. At least they had Rosé
another nice cinema with many movie options
Pretty standard movie going experience, expensive as any downtown movieplex. Parking downtown is no fun so ride your bike for a change and get some exercise to work off the junk food you will be purchasing in the theater.
Nothing fancy like some other Portland theaters, but it is clean, well managed and conveniently located. A very typical Regal, I always enjoy my time here.
Wanted to see a movie. Time says movie starts at 1245. No one is there. There is a sign that says open at 1130. Very misleading information
Went to see John Wick last night, but was unable to finish watching because there was NO a/c. Hotter in the theater than it was outside!!. Sweltering!! Your teenage manager said there was a problem in the whole mall....not true, the rest of the mall was very cool. Will NEVER come back!! I want my money back! What a waste!
Not crowded movie theater. Staff is always nice.
This place is due for a remodel but the most convenient place to see a movie in downtown PDX.
Solid theater. No complaints.
Love how high tech it looks, yet brings back feelings of nostalgia since it's in a mall
Nice place to watch movies
Top floor of the mall well maintained busy during certain times so buy tickets in advance if possible to skip the lines. however idk whats more ridiculous: the lines for the snacks, or the prices for snacks.
this is a good spot to cuddle up and forget the world for a couple of hours if you love movies then check out this spot and leave the problems behind in a great fun atmosphere
Unfriendly staff. They seem unhappy in what they do, and you can feel the sad energy. Love what you do ,and do what you love.
Good theater. Conveniently located. Close to Max
This is favorite cinema in the greater Portland area. The staff is always friendly and the theaters are always clean. I'm giving 4 stars because I don't like that they serve alcohol. People tend to spill their beer or wine in the dark theater and it really smells. I've also encountered a few belligerent individuals, but you can find that almost anywhere.
Really need to turn down the volume. The movies distort. EDIT: Thank you Regal for the response, I'll update my rating next time I see a move!
It's the closest movie theater by me that is decent. They are pretty up to date with most or even all the new movies coming out. I tend to go there from time to time. Clean place and not much people so less noise.
Pretty clean. Nothing but good experiences here. Except one time my girlfriend forgot her ID and we were turned away from an R-rated movie by someone who couldn't have been older than 18 or 19. We walked there from home because it was a nice night.
Mmm hmmm
Clean theater enjoyed my time with my girlfriend. Was a good movie also
It is vary nice I Enjoy coming to watch movies there
I will have to rate this place with just a okay. First of all, for a downtown location movie theater I thought it would look and feel better. As for the layout of this movie theater I believe it's great! The service is also great. I'm not a big fan of there small movie theater rooms. The space they offer just feel too small and sometimes it looks like no one has clean the room from the last movie.
This theater was very clean. Inside and out. I had not problems with using my Atom App to gain access to the theater. If you plan on traveling in to downtown to use this theater, I would highly suggest not to. The location is not conducive to parking, timing, traffic, and cost - unless you plan on doing something else in downtown.
Love the Movies and this one is Awesome...Cynthia Harris
This place is horrible. I have tried to see 3 movies here and each time was horrible. There was people talking the entire movie. Not once was there anyone checking on the theater. The only reason I went 3 times was because I complained about my movie being ruined by texting. I'd rather wait to see a movie from home then see it there.
This is a fun theatre that is in the eastern portion of the pioneer square mall. We have seen plenty of movies here, mainly since it is the closest movie theatre to us in the NW that will play the recently released films. It is easy access to take public transportation here, so don't feel the need to drive.
They're overpriced what else do I got to say about it
Favorite theater. I see almost everything here, it is easy to get to. Being part of the mall complex you have easy access to all of the shopping and dining options there. (Movies at the mall, awesomely nostalgic ) The staff here is always friendly and the theaters are clean. The spacious comfortable stadium seating is what brings me back everytime. The ladies rooms has lots stalls, I don't think I've ever had to wait even when a new blockbuster is over. Beer, wine, slushies, hot dogs, nachos, ice cream and the usual suspects, Coke, candy and popcorn.
The service here was great! The manager really helped when I had a ticket mixup. Cinema is clean and cozy. Also all of the staff was helpful and friendly. Thanks so much!
I enjoy watching movies at this theater. Its really close to me and very easily accessible.
Everything about this theater screams low end. From its mall location, to the inability to select seats in advance, to the overpriced and low quality concessions, to the pre-show advertisers (Taco Bell?!). When options like Living Room Theaters and Cinetopia exist, I honestly don't understand how Regal stays in business, except that it seems to have the monopoly on new release blockbusters.
Saw infinity war in 3d and the air conditioning was broken.. I reported it and they kinda blew it off knowing it was going to packed full of people.
Clean, not crowded, nice staff!
The tickets were more expensive then other Regal Cinemas I go to in the area and the seating was not that comfortable. On the other hand the picture and sound quality of the movie I saw "Finding Dory" was very good.
Don't try and use Movie Pass here. Employees don't know how to use it. Sad.
Desperately needs to be cleaned. Theaters 1-6 smell awful.
This was the worst movie experience ever! Their account or heater was broken and it was a 100 degrees. My father and I both ended up with heat stroke. All employees were rude about it.
Nice place to watch movies.
A great movie going experience.
Great movie theater for being in the mall. For all of the show times, check the other movie theater that they have a few blocks away. Always “empty” which makes it really good to get away from the crowd!
Good movies
Clean, routine Regal 6 screen cinema. Top floor of the shopping center. Like most Regals these days, they offer several beers
I get free movies for only 10 bucks a month through movie pass
Great location downtown, theaters are always clean, if you go during the day it's always empty
Alittle difficult getting to the theatre navigating through the mall. Theatre quality is so-so. It is alittle outdated but it is comfortable and the movie offerings are good
Good theater. Most friendly staff I've ever encountered. Highly recommended.
My review is related to customer service only. I went and saw a movie yesterday at this theater. We were seeing IT, and there were a good number of people in the theater. There was a couple in the front row who came in clearly reeking of pot, and who were blatantly drinking out of the woman's purse the entire movie. They would NOT be quiet, and loudly talked through the entire movie. Four separate times a staff member or manager came in and asked them to be quiet. They never did. Actually, they got louder and flipped off the rest of the audience. While I appreciate that the staff tried to remedy the problem peacefully, how many complaints before someone gets booted? I felt like the enjoyment of everyone else in the theater (and many of us had gone up and asked these people to quiet down as well) was made secondary to these two idiots. I know managers have a tough job, and you shouldn't just boot someone complaint number one. That said, when the same people are defiantly ruining the movie for everyone else, it's insulting to me that they're allowed to stay, and it makes me not want to return to this theater. I don't trust their ability to actually resolve a situation like that. Credit where credit's due: the theater is always tidy and clean, and the staff is always very kind. I really like the facility, but I'm kind of angry that my (and three other peoples) very legitimate complaints were ignored. If any of the staff sees this review and cares to discuss the incident, I'd be happy to discuss.
Decent theater. Will go back
Great place to watch movies!
Very rude customer service from buying the ticket. Maybe get some mature adults working there who care .
Good theater. I liked the surround sound in the threater. Part i dont like is how you have to wait in a line before you can go in.
Kinda pricey but have really good movies
Small but awesome and great employees!
Dirty and inconsiderate customers
I tried to use their phone system and it is not helpful at all
Nice movie, ccomfortable seating !
What's not to like about a movie theater. The prices are standard for tickets and concessions. The film quality was great and the seating is stadium style.
They serve beer! Service is okay
More expensive than other cinemas dirty bathroom
Amazing place to watch a movie with a great quality of sound. Love it.
One of the best places in downtown Portland to catch a flick.
Always liked this theater ,just afraid of heights .
Always great customer service
I've never had a bad experience here. Easy to see a movie, nothing to flashy. If you just want to sit and watch your movie, come here.
Loved the atmosphere
I love it
Love the spy who dumped me so so funny.
It's aight!!!
Always clean nice and popcorn is fresh and perfect thanks
Easy to get to fast service
Felt old, a little dirty, sticky floors, dated, old style seats.... probably won't go again.
Always clean. Friendly staff. I always feel welcome. I pay more to go here.
Good theater
Over ten minutes since they were supposed to open and there's no one in the ticket booth and they've still got the escalator shut down and blocked off.
Love this cinema
The ticketing service was bad. I got nothing but attitude
A good visit, only thing volume way to loud but the attendant did turn it down. My Husband very hard of hearing but volume Was even to loud for him with hearing aides out. Theater was clean.
It's a good movie theater to go to
Hardly ever busy. You can see most movies on opening night if you want. Beer and wine available.
Enjoy this nice theatre in downtown Portland.
I visit the place and watch movies.
An awful experience. The concessions are overpriced, even for a theater. They can't manage to pop popcorn without setting off the fire alarm, which interrupted the movie, of course. The employees of the theater were lazy and inattentive, which explains the fire alarm. I won't be taking advantage of this theater any more in the future. Lessen learned. You have been warned.
The beauty of this theater is that it was right across from our hotel. It's small so not many movies to pick from. A good place to kill time while staying in downtown.
Saw a great movie
Pretty good view and there wasn't a lot of people in the theater at the time.
Very clean and it is an enormous movie theater.
Had great fun on the walk up. By far the most comfortable cinema seats I have experienced
It was my first time there, awesome movie awesome place
Very nice
What's happened to Pioneer Place? The food court is basically boarded up with only two choices. Having the water features gone, it just feels like a dark cave. The elevators where blocked off as well. It also appears some of the stores that don't display windows on the street have left. Overall the mall feels like a shell of its former self...
Great staff. They worked hard to get what I needed. Bring your own food and drink.
The staff is always friendly. Nice and cool especially for a hot day. My theater of choice.
Average cinema, poor selection of concessions.
It was a pretty good place with the exception that the staff was overly concerned about me returning my chair to the original place as I waited in the lobby.
Great theater. Clean and not too expensive
Really love the place, especially the view from the top and just watching all the people going the wrong way on the escalator very funny. The people are really friendly and nice you should get the large pop-corn and you get a refill it, which is nice.
One of my favorite theaters.
I think this is a good theatre as far as Regals go. It's pretty clean, and the auditoriums are large and have stadium seating. They usually get popular blockbusters and not as many kids as the Lloyd theatres. The staff is always pleasant, too. If I go a Regal I usually come here.
Good theatre
Really nice location! Love the stadium seating (short gals rejoice)! Love that it’s part of the mall so it makes for a fun day! All the workers are really nice too. I would totally suggest becoming a regal crown club member, it’s free and you can points to use for concessions and such. Getting a free popcorn and drink this visit, woohoo!
Great staff and a decent number of screens.
Movie theater is really nice, not too crowded but the best thing is the service. Everybody working here is super nice and helpful and go out of their way to make our experience better. This is our new regular place!
Loved my experience here
Very nice place
Love Regal Cinemas. Movies are priced reasonable. Snacks and drinks are expensive. Restrooms are clean. Rugs thru out the theatre are always vacuumed.
Standard theater seating; comfortable and plenty of seating. In a pretty cool location in the mall.
Good cinema. Unfortunately they do not turn off the lights for 3D previews, making it not very clear with the glasses. Audio as also too loud for the previews.
Typical regal Cinema prices and theatre experience , pretty cool spot though. It's at the top of a mall and there's a bunch of escalators, it's worth checking out.
Plenty of leg room soft cozy seating....
The one in Sherwood is better
When movie was done consession stand was closed. Shouldnt close until all movies are over. Wasnt cool
I really liked the comfortable seats
Probably one of my favorite "big box" theaters in Portland. The sound system is pretty good and has nice seats.
It's a Regal, so you pretty much know what you're getting, your average overpriced movie experience. This Regal however has decided that because it is conveniently downtown that they will charge more than pretty much any other Regal in town, so be forewarned about that.
The theater was on the top level of the mall, it was pretty cool. Seats were comfortable too! Very nice mall.
Nice typical movie theater
As expected, expensive and no student prices but what do you expect for a theater chain. Glad I don't live in this state and have the discount perks at my local theater chain.
A good theater. Usually my go-to. Never too busy for a matinee.
Shopping, dinner and a movie. How could you go wrong.
I went there to see an afternoon movie and they were closed so not only missed my movie but disappointed.
Convenient location
Not the typical stand-alone Regal experience. This theater is located atop Pioneer Place mall; it's quaint & sufficient. They're always showing the most recent major box office releases. While there's no abundance of frills, the theater and concessions get the job done. Plus - unbeatable location for those living downtown!
Typical movie theatre. Good but nothing special...
Not bad but sometimes you can hear studio from the other theaters
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I love coming here
