Great venue some nights. Recxomend Tuesdays, they have free tacos and tech music! Drinks are a little pricy but it's an interesting venue with a shady history to the building. Right next to the voodoo donought line so you can see all the tourists too!

Not a bad place to go. Although $8 for a well drink is pretty expensive if you ask me. But I guess this is the price you pay at a venue in Portland anymore. Had a good time at the Pulsar show there. Venue is kind of small but brings me back to my younger years when I used to go here as a teenager and watch my friends play metal music. The outdoor bar was a lifesaver in the Portland heat.

I was there last 20 years or so ago. It was a sad, worn down place. Now it is a high-tech, cozy, well-worn gem of a place, that any theater/musician person can walk into and say "wish I had this space".

I've seen plenty of local bands here. Sound is great. Haven't attended any other events held there, but the sound system is very clear. Huge LCD screen behind stage. Covered front area great for outside in the rain.

Me and 5 of my girl friends attended the magic Mike show on Thursday. Showtime said 8 o'clock but were not allowed into the building and tell about a quarter after 8 where we had to wait another 45 minutes for the actual show to start. There was relatively no seating for the number of people that were tending that venue. Bartenders didn't seem to know much about how the event was going to work. Once we managed to find some seats the alcohol monitor tried to tell us that it was VIP seating only but it was not marked that way enjoyed the show but not impressed with the venue. Sadly I don't think I would choose to attend an event there again

This venue is tiny and the sound is terrible. Multiple times different speakers simply stopped putting out sound. The lead singer for a band used to performing in proper venues and huge festivals, took the time to admonish the sound guy, something along the lines of, "After a very long sound check this should not be happening"... Don't waste your money on a tiny venue like this. To make the night even better the bartenders acted like you were an inconvenience rather than a customer.

I guess this is pretty average for a downtown bar. The DJ on Friday night was the worst I've had to suffer ... every five minutes breaking the music to ask (seemingly in desperation), " Where my single ladies?" The drinks were fine, but costly. The bartenders were both exceptionally nice. The floor was sticky and the smell overall was less than pleasing both outside and inside.

Anyone who hasn't seen this place since the remodel would be surprised to see a 4 star rating. The dance floor is still terribly sloped, but a series of level platforms have been constructed, creating isolated level dancing areas. There are a few reservable VIP sections with a couch and a bit of dance floor space. The decor is classy and functional with gilded frames of sound deadening felt between laser cut wooden grills covering led light. The ten chandeliers add a touch of class and the bar has a lot of whiskey (though only one crappy red wine). Opening up the back of the bar was brilliant. A person can sit on a stool there and watch the show.

There's gotta be a better way to indicate minors than those x's, and the way the venue is divided makes it feel cramped. The food cart outside is cool, but really just a gimmick given that it's so expensive. That's Portland though.

Adult Theater was much better, and the employees were much nicer. Not scamming you for money and being rude. Too bad the Adult theater is closed. This owner hates that the Paris was a swingers club. Totally not 2017 thinking in Portland. I go to the Oregon Theater now, it’s a better place for couples than the old Paris was anyways. To bad these guys are so judgmental of the old business that was there or I’d give them more of a chance.

Trying to be optimistic about the place I liked the old feel of the building. The sound for the bands was pretty good, but not exceptional. The place is small and crowded and the rails really escalate the feeling of claustrophobia. The drinks are definitely overpriced, and the bathrooms are pretty gross. I'm not picky about bathrooms but I've seen better bathrooms at truck stops.

I came to Portland from Montana to see Goatwhore, which was best show ive ever seen. Venue is fairly small and set up weird, but sound system was good and most off the staff, from bartender to the bouncers were beyond sensational. I will be back due to the fact the staff was awesone.

The bar makes good drinks. The setup is cool and different from a lot of other bar/venues I've been to. Could use a wider stairway so people could move in both directions. Have a nice outside area. Only complaint is the sound technician working that night completely messed up on all the bands.

Don't go here unless you know the artist playing, the place is super small which normally isn't a problem except even for the fact that it was a small venue that was empty at 11 on a Friday night. I think most of the people there were working for the sponsor that night. Conclusion, if you like the artist playing you'll probably have an alright time, otherwise, avoid.

Such a cool little intimate venue, the only reason it’s not a solid 5 star is because the booze is reaaaally expensive. But I guess that’s normal for any nightclub downtown. (Like six dollar beer cans and $10 mixed drinks). This place is pretty clean, the staff are super friendly, and the vibe is generally on point. I love it.

The staff and security at Paris Theatre are professional, friendly and well staffed. We had VIP tickets to Caskey, with KliKlak and Jay Adams. The sound was clear, there's views around the entire venue, and the atmosphere was exactly how it should be. I've been here one other time for a punk show, and had the same experience.

I had a ton of fun coming here. I drove from Boise and it was definitely worth it. The venue was fairly priced for both tickets and drinks, not overly expensive like some other venue's I've gone to. Really convenient location as well. Very close to great restaurants and bars

Almost anything goes here. It definitely could be cleaner and I think most people would pay a bit more for that but where else are you gona go for exhibitionism, voyeurism, straight sex, bi-sex, gay-sex, group sex? The Oregon theater is a little cleaner but not as varied, I've been here four or five times and always found people to be respectful if not shy. I'll definitely go again

Came here two separate times for club kai kai drag shows and I had a really great time. If you have the chance to go to a club kai kai event do it. The space itself can get a little cramped but the stage is a good size, the bar staff are fast and friendly, and the place has a neat outdoor area.

Make sure you close your card out. The bartender gave himself a $6 tip and his only reasoning was that i hadn't closed my card before the bar closed 5 minutes beforehand. Going to look into how legal that this is.

This is a really cool live music venue located right next door to the popular Voodoo Donuts. Please note this is no longer an actual theater. There is a nice bar area and a few booths along the side with tables. If you want to have a more intimate experience with the performers this is a great place to go as it's a very cozy venue.

The setup is a bit strange. Aside from 2 tiny tables there's no place to sit without paying for a reserved area. Also, the bathrooms haven't been revamped in...??? The left side toilet in the women's bathroom still wobbles after all these years. Perhaps some of the money being charged for seating could be redirected to fixing the toilet.

Went there for a show for my birthday. Everything was backwards from what the Facebook event said. A group that knew someone that worked there or at least the main lady from the group was screwing the main person in charge got special treatment. I won't go back for a event again.
