Prices are great but the beauty of the theater is a must see. Best second run theatre. Snacks were a fair price. And they had a little coffee shop inside that made coffees, milkshakes and smoothies. They also make there own soft serve flavored ice cream.

We live going to Mt. Hood Theatre. It is pretty old but they have updated most of the seats and you can't beat the price. Currently $4 for adults and only $2 on Tuesday and $3 for seniors, children and military. You can take your family here very reasonably price. A large popcorn that comes with a free refill (on that visit) and a large soda for around $8. They also have family deals for larger portions of concessions. Nice and relaxing.

The theater itself is adorable, but It was absolutely FILTHY! There was spilled popcorn, an obscene amount in every single isle... which is a lot because it’s the largest theater I’ve ever been to. The amount of garbage on the floor was appalling. There are no words to describe the shock of such an under cared environment. It’s equally sad knowing that patrons so blatantly disrespect an establishment as much as it was not managed.

I call this a "cheap date" with the kids. Second-run movies at a good price, and the theater is huge--an old-time theater with a full auditorium. It's partly accessible--a wheelchair can get in and access the theater, but the ramp inside is steep (up). Also, disabled people will want to sit nearer the back because of the steep downward slope as you head toward the front. The bathroom is not at all accessible--there are stairs.

Hardly any great deals these days, but this is a safe & clean place in a great area of old downtown gresham. Just always remember to bring a cushion for you're booty, especially for long movies. Sunday and Tuesday are SUPER great prices. This is one of my favorite place's anywhere I've lived. Especially if you're very young and don't have a lot of extra cash or just don't want to spend the fortune to watch a movie. Sound & viewing in theatre are fantastic. Great movie treats & friendly staff. I thank the owners for staying in & choosing to keep the high level of awesomeness. So many happy times

Huge screen and the best sounding movie theater I've ever heard! The surround sound and top rate audio system will blow you away! I wait for movies to expire out of the over priced new theaters to come here. Why not see it later on a better screen and sound for just $4.50? Beautiful classic 1950 building has enormous auditorium style seating that slopes into a top tier towards the back. Great vantage point from any seat to see the show. Popcorn is amazing as well. Perfect!

My fiance and i will be sad if thid place ever closes. The staff are very friendly and they just got new ones which are younger but i cam understand since they don't charge much for the movies or the popcorn so they have yo save money somewhere. The movies are a month or two to get there then the release date. But it is a nice date to take on date night.

This theater is a classic throwback to a more glorious time in movie going history. Only one theater, but it's huge. I've been going to movies here since the 80s. Though it is getting a bit worn, the current owners seem to be keeping the place in good shape and have been replacing some of the older seating. Great place for cheap movies. They do second run movies, so it's good if you missed the big movies during they're first run. The concessions are a decent deal of you get a package. Save your drink cup if you buy a refill package, they need to see it to honor the deal.

The theater was great. The screen was big and the sound felt real. The staff were friendly and helping us a lot. The food was affordable and tastes pretty good. I would come back here again each time I wanted to see a movie. It was kind of cold in the theater though so I would only come on a hot summer day.

About 90% of our movie nights are at the Mt. Hood Theater. They run second-run movies for $4, which is significantly more affordable than a standard movie house price these days. During the summer they do a 10-pack of kids movies for $10 through local schools. You cannot beat their prices, and they get the major movies--all pretty main stream--nothing daring, but for a family on a budget, absolutely give them a shot. Cons? Concessions are still a little high, there's only one screen, so choices are limited, the facility is a little run down, and the parking lot is a postage stamp with Gestapo neighbors (Riegelmann's) who post signs all over about no theater parking. That being said, you get the movie experience in an unexpectedly old fashioned theater house for a fraction of the price of big box theaters.

When we can't go to this theatre for awhile we really miss it! The service is great and personal. The food concessions are inexpensive and fresh. The movies are always changing. One could go here almost every week and get a great experience every time!

Our family just loves this theater! This is a nice old-fashioned BIG theater with great prices and fresh concessions. (In the summer you can get soft-serve ice cream, too.) The theater is very well-kept and the seats are in very good condition - it's really nice! The staff are super friendly and welcoming. This is a great place for a date or the whole family. I also like that we're supporting a local business instead of one of those national mega-chains. The first time we went as a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, I couldn't believe that we got in AND got a big 'snack pack' for less than $40 total. That's incredible! Last time we went to a chain theater, I think the snacks alone were $40. Come check this out, even if you have to make a little drive to get here. It's worth it!

My husband and I haven’t been to the movies in soooo long because it’s so expensive. Because of the price... we don’t even put it in the mix of options when we plan date night. For some reason, a movie sounded good and we found this theater! (We have lived in portland less than a year) It’s SO CHEAP and we saw a double feature. The concession had great prices too. It only plays 1 movie at a time but that was fine by us! We saw Ralph breaks the Internet and the Mule. :) something I’ve never seen before personally, is it had, like a coffee shop in it. Pretty neat. It’s also walking distance from downtown Gresham, so if you wanted to have dinner, it’s convenient. We will be back!

Wonderful old fashioned theatre with good seats, a balcony, great ticket prices, great concession prices! They get 2nd run movies, so if you want to see a movie the second it comes out, this is not the place for you. But if you can see it a couple of weeks later, it's worth it to wait. We took our grandkids and they loved it. Lots of ambiance, great painting on the walls of the theater and they are one of the few theaters with a balcony. Great neighborhood landmark!

This is a historic old theater, but very nice including a quaint cafe with an eating bar looking out on the town, inside the theater. In the cafe is a clean restroom. The theater inside is rather large and all staff were very friendly and professional. We ordered popcorn and pop etc and the prices were much less than some newer theaters much to my delight! I guess its less known because it wasn't crowded.

This theatre is so fun. It's a vintage throw back locally-owned joint with comfortable seats and cheap snacks. Double Feature Friday was my favorite !! 2 movies for $4 and the sound system was great. The owners themselves greeted us. You don't get that service at theatres any more !!

I love this theater! I remember when I was a child back in the 60's seeing matinees at this theater. It was so much fun and the fun continues to this day. The theater has a welcoming feeling to it. I don't like the big theaters as it seems all they want is your money with inflated pricing. I feel at home here. It keeps childhood memories alive.

A great sound system and freshly made popcorn are just two of the offerings at the Mount Hood theater. Historic building has been restored which is wonderful to see. Old style theater with a sloped floor means you'll actually be able to see the screen and it's not a giant metroplex, it's your standard old school theater showing one movie at a time and we love it.

Rad, old-school movie theater. They're putting in new seats starting from the front. I have issues with crowds and haven't been able to go to many opening weeks. Getting to catch a movie on the big screen before it's gone, good prices on snacks and tickets, plenty of room to stay away from other people in the seats. You could ask for more, but you're probably not going to get it

They usually have 3 movies to choose from and they are usually fan favorites from the last months premiers at a very resinable price that should attract a lot more that they do I recomend it very much just the popcorn is more times than not a bit chewey
