This is the best drive in theater I have ever been to! The food is great. It seems high but if you compare it to any other theater they are right on or better given the different choices offered. We take our kids as often as possible. They love the atmosphere, food and movies. My kids have been going since they were 2 years old and I have always felt that they were just as welcome as any other child or adult. I love love love this drive in!

I really enjoy the environment. It’s always clean, food is good, & everyone is super friendly. They have a mini golf area upfront to play before the movies. It kinda gives you an old school vibe, it’s a really comforting atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

There are many things that I have to say about this establishment. My family was kicked out after a heated argument with the owner that ended with him throwing himself in front of my father’s vehicle all because my sister would not throw away her drink. The drink that she tried to bring in is the only thing she can drink because she went through chemo & radiation this year and her tastebuds have still not returned to normal. She has to have this specific drink or she will get sick. The man in the booth was already hostile before he saw the drink but my father tried to be polite anyways and was only treated with disrespect. The ‘man in the booth’ is the OWNER. We have never been treated so poorly by anyone in our lives. The level of unprofessionalism that this man displayed is almost laughable. If you hadn’t caught on by now my family and I will never spend another penny at this establishment. We understand that you are trying to save face and paint yourself as the victim but no one is going to disrespect my family like that ever again. Lastly, I hope that you rethink the way that you treat customers.

Our family loves the Chief!!! Went and watched It Chapter 2. My only regret was there were so many people there, I didn't manage to get the Pennywise collector cup. Not the drive ins fault. I should've got there earlier. Food is great, prices are great, and there is a wonderful atmosphere! Will definitely be back!!!

I want to start off by saying that overall this drive in is great. Although, if you have even a crumb of food, this guy will scream, make rude comments, and be totally unprofessional. I get no food allowed but when you have an old drink, doesn't require your whole care to be searched. Customer service is key to a successful business. I will return, but if I am treated rudely again, I will have a talk with the guy. Maybe have a secret camera and post it all over social media.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Last night my boyfriend took me to my very first drive in. We drove in from OKC and we had an old forgotten Sonic cup in the car. When he asked us if we had any outside food or drinks, we replied "no". Then he said "What is that thing with the straw." We said "It was an old Sonic cup that we were going to throw away." Without any hesitation he told us to leave and handed back the money and told us he could not trust us any more. When pulled forward to leave thinking it looped around, he jumped in front of the car and placed his hands on the hood. He yelled "I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE! I HANDED YOU YOUR MONEY BACK!! IT IS ON CAMERA!! YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE!!" He had us reverse the car in a one way lane and leave. We were both shocked, and uncomfortable. He made us feel like a criminal and I will NEVER RETURN AGAIN!! We had all intentions of buying concessions and enjoying the movie. What was supposed to be a fun night out turned into a nightmare.

Rudest staff with no regard to families. My family was refused entrance because they ate supper prior to going to movie. Then they were cussed by the man at the gate. He went so far as to make 6 cars behind them move so he could run them off. How dumb is that?

A wonderful experience from gate to close. (The movie was pretty dull.) The operator is very forthright about pricing and rules. I was disappointed with the popcorn, but it was average for prepared theater popcorn.

The atmosphere was almost perfect. The food was hot and delicious. Very reasonably priced, especially for a movie theater! Literally my only complaint is that there is a little too much freedom given to some children. Throwing sand, kicking over other children's sand sculptures, running all over the mini golf course, yelling and screaming at people. Announcements need to be made about watching your children.

Giving this drive-in a 0 for customer service. I’ll take full responsibility for violating no outside food or drink. The employee asked at the gate and we gave him what we had. He went on a rant about branded cups. We had TWO outside water bottles. Sorry, i’m not sorry, i’m not going to detail my car for drinks and snacks, I have children in tow! Our families combined spent $60 at the concession stand and $50 in admissions. The water bottles we had may have been a loss of $2 to the establishment. He also accused us of having outside popcorn when it was actually an outside Tupperware to share the $10 popcorn bucket we bought at the concession stand!

Very disappointed in this place. We paid for five people to go in. Bought drinks and popcorn at the concession stand. My 13 year old son had less then a half a bottle of coke in the car that he had from earlier in the day. He got a drink out of it and the owner came and asked him where he got it. He was honest and said he had grabbed it out of the car. This man started yelling at my 13 year old son who is autistic in the middle of this place with people all around. Telling him to get out and that he was a thief and trespassing. He said that he had asked if he had drinks, which they didn't, and didn't think about a half bottle of coke anyways and that he was a liar. He stood there and yelled at him over and over again. We were there with other people and I told the guy I'd be happy to leave if he could stay with the other people we were there with as I was the adult and he is an adolescent. He continued yelling at him to get out. He was incredibly rude. I'd understand if we had come in with a bunch of drinks or candy but we are talking a small bottle of soda after we had spent a ton of money in the concession stand and for everyone to come in. My 13 year old left there shaking and crying. It was completely uncalled for and ridiculous. Yes, i will admit I did say my own choice words to him after he yelled at my son over and over again! I will not be repeating business at this establishment after the way a grown man treated a 13 year old kid!

Amazing concessions! Outstanding employees!! We drive 2 hours to go to Chiefs Drive In at least once, sometimes twice a month! They show the newest movies, with the best match ups around! We love going, be it family time or date night! Highly recommend taking the kids, play some putt-putt while you wait for the sun to go down and the movies to start! The concessions are amazing!! The popcorn is one of my favorites! Everything they make from the pretzels to the full size pizzas, just too good!! The hamburgers are a family favorite! And the prices can’t be beat!! We buy the souvenir cups and popcorn buckets every season (most of the time we buy multiple per season because we just love them so much!) It’s a great deal!! The staff are above and beyond!! Always helpful with a smile on! Follow the rules and you won’t have any problems! Don’t bring food and drinks in! The concessions are how they make their money as admittance is so cheap!! Don’t sneak people in! We adore them all and appreciate the fact that they have been able to keep the Chief going all these years!! Five stars from the Brucker family! For sure!

I have been going to the Chief Drive-In since I was a little girl. It has changed ownership several times but the current owners are the best! They are dedicated to making the drive-in experience the best possible for everyone there! As long as you follow the rules (basic common sense...) you will have a good time. Their food is amazing as well. They also have a phenomenal birthday party package! Amazing value! (My only comment for the birthday package is I wish it could include 1-2 reserved parking spaces on the first or second row, but we just went early in case it was busy and it went perfectly! ) I had my son's 10th birthday there and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. Mini golf, ice cream, and pizza included!

The owner doesn't take any responsibility for the way they handle their terrible customer service. More than a few reviews have had the same experience with the same man over and over and the response is always "we have a no outside food or drink policy". NONE of the reviews brought issue with the signage or the rule, but rather with how it was all HANDLED. Maybe next time we'll send an undercover with video cameras to record the incident so the owner can see how terribly they actually represent themselves and their floundering establishment. Good customer service goes a long way...but bad customer service will beat the brakes off a business. None of my hard earned $$ will find it's way to this business. You should do the same. Edit: their response assumes I am the husband, which I am a cousin. Also, still didn't take responsibility. They blame the customers rather than look inwardly. The lack of money is likely a direct result of fluffed off terrible customer service. I've counted a dozen similar reviews and growing. All pretty much saying the same thing. Gonna start recruiting people to come to your business undercover. We'll go from there. I didn't ask how you paid for movies, but rather noted your lack of income is directly a result of elementary customer service at best, scummy at worst. Don't complain when the curtain falls. You reap what you sow. Why would I send undercover customers looking to abide all your rules. That would defeat the point. We want to film you at your worst. It isn't what you say, it's how you say it. As has been stated, it isn't the rule at issue, it's the way it is enforced and implemented. Having a rule to be quiet is nice...but yelling at people to "shut up" would be rude. That example good enough for you to comprehend? They must have realized how silly they have been acting. They also gave zero refund to my cousin who spent more than $50 at this establishment. Undercover customers are coming soon enough. Keep your eyes peeled for the YouTube posting.

I would give this place 0 stars if it would let me. Absolutely WORST drive in EVER. Extremely rude. I will never go there again. If you are looking for a good drive in movie go to the Winchester Drive in in OKC. It is 1000x better than this crappy place full of rude awful people. Winchester is definitely 10/10 and the staff is all so wonderful and very helpful. I've been many times and the first time I go to this place is the worst drive in experience ever. Ruined everyone's night. Don't waste your money here. They'll make you pay to get in pay for food and drinks then kick you out for no reason what so ever. Basically took all of the money and in return were complete jerks and made us leave. 0/10 would recommend.

Guy working made us pour out ice water and called my uncle a “jacka**” in front of two young kids (12 and 8) when he asked if he could keep the water!! Make us turn around and leave. Horrible man and horrible behavior made a little girl cry because she didn’t get to see the movie we drove an hour to get to. One star is a bit much for their customer service. We use to love going here. It was something our entire family could partake in. We would spend money on tickets and money at the concession because as small business owners we understand the importance of trying to keep small business alive. I used to discredit bad reviews for this establishment because everyone is someone behind a keyboard until now. When we visited last month the gentleman at the front was rude about weather or not we had outside food or drink. We didn’t and I shrugged it off as him having a bad day. Fast forward to last night when what was supposed to be a birthday celebration turned in to all out harassment and disrespectfulness. It was my nieces birthday and she wanted to eat jakes for dinner and then go to a movie. Well, jakes didn’t disappoint, but chief’s sure did. One car load was able to get in, but not before they were harassed for having empty jakes cups, because they only make money off of concessions. I get it. You need people buying in the concession. Guaranteed we probably spent close to $200 between the 9 of us for one trip last month. When the rest of the group showed up they had already started the movie. It was said they would have to walk in and that wasn’t a problem. They were asked if they ate at jakes too then turned away just because they had dinner somewhere else. I wish I was kidding. I wish this was made up because I have told numerous people to check this place out. They will say they that we threatened to fb bash them if the rest of the group was not let in which is an utter lie. At the end of the day they truly have some severe customer service issues that need to be addressed. With other places to go like the Winchester where you won’t get harassed for eating dinner somewhere else there is no need to visit chiefs for us again.

Very rude employees and owners. Very strict about not bringing in outside drinks, even if they don’t sell what you drink. On busy nights the concession stand can take more than an hour to get through and instead of fixing this issue OR letting one bring in drinks to make up for the fact that the line is horrendously slow, they expect you to wait in line throughout the entire movie and they make you throw away all drinks in your car. The owner has very atrocious customer service skills. The screen is textured and is very distracting during the movie. They start the first movie before the sun is set resulting in the first half hour of the movie being completely unseen. The quirks of this cheap, run down drive-in would be quaint or charming if it wasn’t run by rude, insufferable owners.

I love this theatre and I am glad it’s an option but with that being said, it would make sense that a business that is adamantly prohibiting outside food and drinks would be faster with their concessions. 20 minutes in line and we started giving people in front money to buy our drinks. My wife and I took our kids to go see The Grinch, Aquaman and Creed II. We paid for admission, popcorn, sodas and hot chocolate. During the intermission between Aquaman and Creed, an employee confronted my wife about a candy cane she removed from the trunk of her car. This employee claimed that my wife had been in and out of the trunk of her car a dozen times to retrieve snacks. This accusation is completely false as my wife sat next to me in my truck and only left my truck to buy hot chocolate or use the rest room. She did go into her truck prior to the candy cane incident to retrieve blankets for our children. There were no dozen trips to the trunk. The same employee also accused my wife that she was filling my cup with beverages from her trunk. Again, false information. I had my styrofoam cup that was bought at the concession and was filled with sweet tea. When I asked the guy to show me this supposed footage of all that transpired, we were told to pack up, leave and never return. Now I have kids crying because they think they did something wrong and my wife is upset and crying because the way this guy criminalized my wife and belittled her. Again, I understand the outside food and drink policy, but the lack of professionalism from this guy was beyond ridiculous.

The owner constantly walks around looking inside people's cars to make sure they don't bring in outside food and drinks. They also have cameras positioned around to monitor it as well. We gave our toddlers water in their sippy cups and he ran up to us yelling about going to kick us out for "never buying anything" and shining a flashlight in my kids eyes. This was after I had just came back from spending a bunch at their snack bar. We will never be back.

The owner needs to take responsibility for his attitude and actions and admit he was a complete a**hole to my ex-husband and children. I understand you have a policy of no outside food/drink and my ex-husband had no problem throwing his drink away but when he tried to explain to the owner about our daughter just finishing chemo/radiation treatments and that she can only tolerate a certain kind of apple juice because her tastebuds are fried, the owner wouldn’t even listen and immediately handed my ex-husband his money back and said leave. Of course he cussed the owner, what parent wouldn’t? This man is THE definition of heartless. I will pray for you, sir! I pray you or no one you love ever has to go through what my 17 year old daughter has had to go through and god forbid you do, I pray no one ever treats you the way you treated my daughter.

When they start the movie they lock the gate. I was sad because I was late and my daughter arrived early. (movies start with no previews) We had planned to have a Friday 13th full moon experience. She found the owner he was super nice and let me in. He also made sure I got in safely by walking beside my car so I could park in the dark. The concession stand was reasonably priced the lady working there was also one of the most friendly people I have seen. They have definitely brought back several of America's great old fashioned things.......Drive in Movie and American customers service.

After a long exhausting week of college I made plans to go to the Drive-Inn to have a fun night out. If I would have know that there was gonna be very rude employees or I would hardly hear the movie because of what seemed to be only one speaker working and not to mention this one speaker would start producing a large static noise every time any loud noise come across, I would have never got close to this hell on earth. Not to mention half the population of mosquitoes in Oklahoma reside in this Drive-Inn Theater. After the movie I was covered in lumps and itching for hours. The owner was a very weird man. He would stalk around the Theatre like a vampire looking for his next victim. Coming from the complete darkness and making you question whether he was sane or not. All in all I will never return.

Worst customer service ever. Me and my boyfriend came on a date and got to the theatre about 30 min early. We had brought a bag a chips with us that was unopened and just sitting in my seat. The owner came over and flipped out. We offered to throw them away and in return he made us leave instead and caused a huge scene. He then thought we were taking too long and preceded to come over again before we drove off. Although I do understand the no food policy, when we tried to comply and throw them away he had no sympathy and was a total jerk. We will not return.

I took my wife here last friday night for a date night, this place has the nostalgia of the old drive in theatres that I went to growing up, it was so much fun. The movie we saw was Thor Ragnarok, it was an awesome movie. The concession food was good and priced fairly, I had the burger basket, my wife had the chicken strip basket and both were good. We will definitely go back for another date night.

I don't know what everyone is gripping about. I guess you would grip if you were hung with your own shoe string I mean good Lord they do the best they can. We were there last night to watch IT chapter 2 and I bet there were over a 100 people there they opened the gates early because of the line out in the streets they didn't have to do that but they did. The line for food went for 5 hours the people in there working didnt get a break. I stood in that line not once but twice and they were very friendly people. If you dont want to follow the rules or wait in line my thought is maybe you should go somewhere else and pay higher prices and grip about that. The owners and works are doing the best they can people need to grow up. We love the drive in and would like to keep it around. Good job last night trying to keep up with all the customers you had last night I was very impressed.

Absolutely Horrible! Me and my friends were going to watch a movie and visit, as it had been nearly a year since we had done so, so we decided to go here. When we pulled up, nobody was at the booth, so we started to go in. Out of nowhere, this physcotic man came running up, and told us to back up. No big deal, we intended to pay, but when we got backed up to the booth, he had us keep going. Once we were far enough back he could shut the gate, he told us to leave! This man was Very unprofessional, and is the reason this joint will shut down!

Ruined the first night I've had out of the house for weeks. I'm recovering from cancer treatment (chemo and radiation) and felt good enough to sit in the truck and watch a movie. We get there, no one is in the ticket booth but we see an employee walking up so no big deal. The guy gets there and he's being a jerk for no reason but that's pretty common these days. He sees our drinks and goes kind of ballistic, saying theres a sign that clearly says no outside food or drinks. My dad complies and picks up his cup, but informs the man that because of the aggressive radiation therapy I went through, my taste buds are fried and I can only drink this certain brand of apple juice, which is completely true. I can't even drink water now, and my mouth can't properly produce saliva now so I'm reliant on my juice to keep my mouth moist and prevent my from getting sick. The guy completely loses it. My dad keeps trying to explain that i just finished treatment in September but the guy isn't listening, screaming at my dad. My dad got mad and threw his cup at the booth and the employee starts ranting about how they have cameras and he's getting my dad arrested for littering. My brother gets out of the car and picks the cup up and throws it in the trash, and we decide we're done. My dad tries to pull into the drive in so we can drive around to the exit, because there were cars behind us. The guy ran out of the booth and THREW HIMSELF in front of my dad's truck. If my dad hadn't slammed on the breaks, we would have hit this guy! Merry Christmas, psychopath.

I love this place. The staff are excellent and they even have some awesome food items for sale in their concession. My wife and I frequent this place quite a bit. They also aren't afraid to be open during rainy and cold weather which is a welcome change of pace from most other drive in theater locations in the state.

Wonderful family-friendly establishment! The only place to go where kids can get excited and comment on the movies without rude looks from others. The concessions can't be beat! Fresh, delicious food for a more than fair price. I've noticed a common theme with all the negative Nellies on here: They broke a rule, got caught, had to leave, & came to Google to have their tantrums. Here's a novel idea: Don't be a dishonest jerk. Abiding by the rules ensures everyone has a great night. They're posted EVERYWHERE, so there's no excuse. The family that owns this drive-in is doing their surrounding communities a service by providing a safe, affordable, clean place where people of all ages can spend time together. Rude owner. Runs around accusing everyone of bringing in outside food even when they dont. Shined his flashlight in my toddlers faces accusing us of never buying concessions when we had just bought tons of stuff from their concessions. Had to explain to our 8 yr old why the mean man was yelling at us and accusing us of being dishonest. Told us to pack it up after having just spent $40 there. We wont be back and we will never recommend his business again. In response to theatres response: that's funny bc he shined a flashlight right into our vehicle and again into our toddlers faces as well as walked around w it to any vehicle of ppl he was accusing of having food. You have dozens of the same kind of reviews. It's a shame bc your attitudes and customer service are driving your business into the ground.

Can't beat this place. It is a great place to take the family and kids for a summer movie night. Prices are the best this side of the world if not in the world with double movies every time. It is a dieing field to watch movies out doors but we have a great time every single time we go.

well made the mistake of showing up eight minutes late. My fault. Won’t happen again. Paid our money then borderline had the owner climb in the vehicle to make sure we didn’t bring any outside food or drinks. Had listen to his speech about people who bring in outside food and drinks are thief’s. Fine whatever. Bite my tongue when dealing with people like that. Just not worth the effort of saying anything. And you could tell he was looking for a reason to turn us out. Found a spot to park and headed for concessions stand to wait in line. Stood in line from when the dog is trying to get the ball from underneath the table in pets2. I got our food when Aladdin started. I understand from the owners same response over and over that’s how they make money. But if that’s how they make the money then why should It take an entire movie to get the my money. Maybe instead of adding 12 more cameras to the already 70 in the place looking for so called thief’s they could spend that money and figure out how to fix the problem with why it takes an hour and twenty minutes for a couple drinks burgers and fries. It took over and hour in line just to order. After getting the food and making it back to our vehicle I jokingly asked my wife (what did I miss) she said the entire first movie. Then she started showing me all the reviews on this new owner. Wow. Stalking like a vampire looking for thief’s. Yelling at kids. Thankfully my wife had her car fully detailed earlier that day. So we at least got to watch one movie together.

Movies were great the good was fabulous!! However their smoking rules are inconsistent and unclear. We had to give up really good spots because we were with smokers and we were visiting family out of town. The rules say the first five rows after for non smoking so we picked a really good spot in the back and it was empty, not busy, but we were still forced to move and my husband was upset he had to give up our spots even though we were following the posted rules... Besides that it was phenomenal!

We drove an hour to come and watch Toy Story 4 with 2 cars full of 12 people and we had family dinner at Jakes before like we always do and emptied all of our cups that we paid for before we came because we have been here several times before and wanted to respect their rules and they told us they didn’t give a F*** about Jakes and their restaurant is how they make their money. When we already stated how we were about to buy more drinks, candy, etc. he refunded our money to us and made us back out after we showed him we had no food or drinks in our car. An absolute joke of a place! You would think after looking and seeing all the negative reviews who obviously are having the same problem with the same guy something would change but I guess you just can’t change your rude character.

Our family enjoyed their outing here. The kids had fun while waiting for the movie to start. There is sand up front on the front row. The only complaint I had was that all the kids at the drive in was up front throwing the sand up into the air. The sand was everywhere and you couldn't eat your food without the sand getting into it. Other than that, really, no issues. It does tend to get packed out really early so be sure and go when the gates open.

Per the usual, AWESOMENESS at its finest. Me, my wife and son drive from OKC about once a month to watch movies here. The price is great, $7 per person for 2 movies. Nice little putt putt golf area the kids and you can play in while you wait for it to get dark. Prices for the popcorn and other foods are good as well. A little pricey but honestly not bad. We spend maybe $40 when we go here for 2 movies popcorn, soda, and a burger basket.

A blast to the past, friendly staff! Tune into the radio frequency for the theater, get comfy, pull out your chairs, blankets. Etc...grab some snacks at the concession, hit a game of put put and relax to the big sky and a movie! This is the real deal.

Not a lot of these places around. We had a great time! Kids loved it parents loved it! Hamburgers were great. Snacks plenty, so many to choose from we will definitely be coming back to watch another movie here. Plus kids where able to get up move around and still watch the movie.

I am disgustingly appalled at the treatment my mother was given with my children and my niece and nephews. It’s summer break and my brother and I allowed our children to travel HOURS with our mother to this so called “amazing” drive-in. Prior to their arrival, with a trip that has taken all day; she pulled over and put all the road trip snacks in the trunk - out of reach of the children and she told them, if y’all get hungry we will purchase food from the drive in we can’t take our own snacks. (They still have to make the trip to their next destination, and any parent or grandparent knows you can’t travel with multiple children without snacks, I know the rules say NO outside food or drink, but they were out of reach & we aren’t locals who live down the street). Upon arrival (I was on FaceTime with my mom!) she was asked if there was any food inside the car with them, she replied no, but there is in the trunk (she intentionally left her trunk unlocked) and was instructed to pull forward, he opened the trunk, my mom stepped out the car and attempted to explain that they had been traveling and he said she could leave the snacks there, at the entry with him (she was fine with that) but then something took place and he took the sonic drink, threw it to the ground and began to tell her and the children to get out of his drive in, calling her a liar & being completely out of line, saying this is what liars get! This is completely ridiculous and ruined their road trip. SHAME ON YOU! {response to owners comment} My mother read your rules; which is why she removed the snack and drinks from their reach and attempted to explain. We’ve had our private conversation in details about this incident. (waste of time for anyone wondering) But at the end of it all... it’s HOW your employee handled this situation, it was the behavior that was displayed in front of children at a “family” environment that is concerning, it’s how an grandmother was walked all over, while trying her best to follow the rules while also being able to travel to and from this establishment, she clearly wasn’t trying to hide it - if she was she wouldn’t have mentioned it or left the trunk slightly open. She could have been turned away in a more respectful manner - there was no need to harass and be irate with a GRANDMOTHER in front of 4 out of 10 of her GRANDCHILDREN. Based off this experience and several others with similar experiences; perhaps a team exercise on customer service would be beneficial.
