You know that we don't usually bother to put tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Movie Theater is included in the category of Movie theater.
What a fun experience. We missed dude-a-thon this year because it sells out too quickly. More dude-a-thons, please!
Wonderful one screen neighborhood movie theater. Choose from many micro brew beers. Then order a great pizza or sub from down the street and it will be delivered to the theater. Even has some tables built in for that large pie!
Love this place and love Rocky Horror Picture Show is played there.
Studio 35 is a must if you enjoy movies in a cozy setting. The historic building has been around for a long time and has a lot of warmth to it. A single screen only showing popular new movies. Street parking only but never had an issue finding a close spot. They offer craft beer and a menu including pizzas sandwiches and appetizers. The staff is always been extremely friendly I highly recommend this place over a chain movie theater.
A fun and unique movie theatre experience. The bar is great for hanging out in and the draft list is always amazing.
I can't speak to the theater itself. But I do know that if you like a nice list of IPAs you'll like it here. Staff is friendly and welcoming. We had about 25 in our group and it was not a problem to be in the tap room. The theater is not the gateway in terms of line up or variety, but I know they offer tasting coupled with out of theater films.
Not too loud, unlike every other bar in the city. Didn't try the food. Interesting beers and ciders are available. Cleanest restroom I've ever seen in a bar.
Loved it! So homey and quant. Nice draft selection and excellent movie choices. Family friendly, plenty of comfy seating and in theater tables as well! Can’t speak for the food, but have heard great things.
This single-screen cinema features a bar, food and great service with a smile. Really good movie experience.
Dropped in with the husband for drinks. Hubby said the beer selection here is always good. They get unusually good beer options like Big Bad Baptista on tap (he said he never saw that before). I am partial to the Moscow Mules and they did not disappoint. The ladies room was clean. If you ever come for the movie events it is really fun. In the past we have come to a Big Lebowski showing and beer tasting and one of the Star Wars opening nights. On these types of special nights it gets real crowded, but it is real fun too!
Great theater, other than the perpetual Blockbuster CGI Action film malarkey. I get that it probably pays the bills but it's a bummer that the most interesting theater for miles almost always has the least interesting movie that's currently out. Every once in a blue moon there's something else, and then it's great.
A gem, great cocktail menu, great movie showings, absolutely beautiful bar and theatre, certainly a family joint for all ages.
Straight up super fun!!! Got myself a large Coke with free refills, fun folks surrounded us, clean bathrooms, self-serve water, quick staff. Rocky Horror Picture Show was my first visit and it was a ton of fun. :)
It was a first time good experience! Guy at the bar was awesome and restroom was nice. Will be back while I'm here
Awesome place, I love the focus on local movie adds Also the beer and popcorn is awesome
I loved it! Not glitzy, not glamorous, just homey cool off beat. Great beer list!!!
Great place, nice people, interesting honey drinks made for our bee group !! Nice touch !
I love this place..... You must see ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW here.... Great employees and killer screen.....
Greasy but tasty pizza (and some other foods as well), extensive draft beer selection, and pretty good sound in the theater. Friendly, hardworking bartenders. Movie tickets are reasonable. Be ready to park on the street. Especially good place to watch Ohio State Buckeyes games, as admission is free. O-H!
Very cool and unique experience. Definitely recommend this seater for anyone who likes a unique movie watching experience with a local pub feel.
One of my ultimate favorite places to go in Columbus. There is a certain charm and so much character! From the building to the people that go there to the movies & special showings they offer. It's definitely left-of-center. You will see all kinds of people, and if drinking at the bar can see whatever movie is playing for free. The front portion is a bar, theater in back. Children are welcome in the theater. Check out all the art on the walls plenty of draft, local, and other craft beers - as well as a fully stocked bar. A must-visit place.
Rare find - a movie theater that has many draft beer options tucked into a residential neighborhood. Great service, good rotation of movies and have themed Sunday beer tastings with a movie to boot! Also screen OSU, Crew and other major sports games for free!
Awesome place
We just got beers, no movie. Really cool bar though.
Great selection of beers, good food, and amazing sevice. It's the best place to watch a movie or Buckeye game.
It's perfect. Nestalgia in the walls, current movies on a big screen! It doesn't smell like a brewery, but does serve pumpkin ale and other fine beers. A higher quality Brew and View!
It's a cherished old neighborhood landmark with a fun atmosphere for drinking and/or movie-watching, especially when there's a large spirited audience. I only wish it were more affordable.
Old school theater house not very busy
The beer tastings are excellent! Fun staff, awesome beer list and renovations coming!
Awesome place, excellent staff, clean facilities. This place is really cool and I can't say enough good things about it.
Friendly staff, comfy space, and great beer selection.
Great little venue for checking out the latest flicks. Comfy seats, pizza, and an enormous selection of crafts beers. Great place to take a date or fly solo. Love this place! Highly recommend.
This was my first visit ever to Studio 35 and I watched End Game. Didn't know what kind of quality to expect with it being a one screan theater but I haven't enjoyed a theater visit as much as I did here at Studio 35. Loved the environment. Really good beer with an old school theater feel. I do have to say the sound quality seemed a little lacking. Kind of too quiet at some parts of the movie. But not enough to take away from the experience. Despite that I still Loved every moment. You can grab an entire pizza and take it in with you AND have a table to eat on! How can you not love this place? I really enjoyed my visit. I will be back again soon. 10 out of 10 A1 sauce
What is there not to love about a well maintained, very clearly well loved little independent theater. Cozy and small, there is a feeling off community and camaraderie that washes over you the second you step inside. Offering a wide selection of beers, custom and themed cocktails and candy, along with the option of getting pizza delivered, you can't go wrong. I especially recommend the beer tasting movie showings. You honestly can't ask for a better way to spend an afternoon! The service is impeccable, the bartenders friendly and funny. They treat you like a friend. Andy, the dude who runs the beer tastings, has it down to an art. 10/10
We did the Rocky Horror Picture Show. My God, was that an experience!
Great concept but place is run down and needs basic repairs. Ceiling, seats, flooring.
Went to a 7p showing. Ladies restroom was clean and smelled nice. Seats were clean. Patrons were civil. Wonderful experience. The theatre also assisted a gentleman that got a flat tire in front of the establishment with an air compressor. Love going here for movies, pizza, beer, and Whits frozen custard!
A classic single screen theater in the heart of a neighborhood, Studio 35 is a real gem. The bar has a huge selection of beers and the screen shows a selection of curated films. Food is a mix of traditional snacks and pizza/subs brought …
Great theater
Great place, loved the late night movie and service for food and drinks was on point! I think also having tables in the theater and ordering food to have while watching the film was awesome too! Thanks for the fun evening!
This has always been a favorite spot for my family. The staff is great, and the bar has a lot of great local craft beers as well as a full bar if you prefer something else. There is also a pretty good pizza place that they work with for …
One of my favorite movie theaters and draft houses in Columbus. Was a short walk from where I lived and was such a nice atmosphere. The owners are also really chill and down to earth. I even had the chance to work on their hilarious theater …
Fun place .
Great local cinema
I always have a good time here. The beer selection is great and their special events are very fun. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the seats are very tight.
Awesome place to go see a flick. old school seating and great beer list
My husband and I attended the 10 beer tasting and Bohemian Rhapsody event. It was great! The beer was good and the entertainment was great. For 2 hours, you sip local brews, watch funny videos, and have the chance to win raffle prizes. I will definitely do this again!
Coolest place in Columbus. Definitely go there!!
Quirky old single screen movie theater. Awesome bar space and fun people. Do a beer tasting if you can - the special events are worth it!
Great Lakes Brewing Beer Sampling & Major League (the movie)
Quirky Neighborhood Hangout. Great brews and artisan cocktails.
We blew our tire while trying to find parking for the movie. Stopped car by the front door to put on the spare. Every worker, including the owners, came out to offer assistance. This was my first visit. They were phenomenal! Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were ok. Still got to see (most of) the movie and we got great food. I will be visiting this theatre as much as I can going forward.
Great day at Studio 35. Such a fun place to watch The Buckeyes!
Historic neighborhood theater that had been renovated over the years. Seats still uncomfortable, but everything else rates high. Full bar including several microbrew options. Can order pizza and subs to be delivered from next door to go along with popcorn. Many events happening here in addition to movie showings. Checkout their schedule of events on FB
First run movies along with oldies and special events in a wonderful locally owned classic neighborhoos cinema. Plus, an excellent bar, with one of the best taps in town.
One of the last bastions of old Columbus. Sometimes one gets fed up with inhabiting buildings built in 2016. The bar, which sits between the door and the theater, has a Cheers vibe and is inhabited by the film-obsessed. Order a pizza and eat it in the theater. Frequently decorated in the holiday of the moment, this place is shrouded in the magic of what Columbus used to be before it became Chicago.
While I'd love it if Studio could screen one more big movie at a time, or maybe a big one and a small one, their programming, staff, service, and selection is tight as hell. Still the best place in town to catch a movie or get to watch a bunch of people's 100 yard stares after seeing "Mandy." Plus Pizza Primo!
Best Rocky Horror show ever/ever.
Always a great time. The beer tastings are well-planned and always fun. The selections are like nothing else in the state (literally, they get kegs we've never had in Ohio). They have a ton of beer on tap and arguably the best tap selection in Columbus. It's a bit of a dive because the theater is starting to show its age, but it's always worth a visit!
had a great time watching the crew game here. good beer and they ship in pizza from the place next door.
Saw Isle of Dogs by Wes Anderson at this theatre. The location is accessible, the venue quaint, but the service a bit slow. I understand the building is small and only has one screen, but it took a bit too long to get a small bag of popcorn (only 2 guys working that I saw.) Overall, the experience was fine and the movie experience went as expected. Neither particularly overwhelmed or underwhelmed.
Excellent environment, and a wonderful staff. Bad movies are better here!
Food, except pretzel, was "life supporting" to say the best thing about the place. Seats very uncomfortable. Bartender staff disrespectful. The place is not handicap friendly.
Excellent place for beer and cult movies. Thanks for hosting Terror From The 80's. I really enjoy that and Fritz The Nite Owl. Great selection of beers.
Loved this place in 1982. Loved this place in 2018. One of my college hangouts during OSU days.
Awesome place to catch any flick...especially a classic.
Who doesn’t love. Fun night of RHPS?
Just an old fashion movie house nothing fancy.
You can stop in for a movie. Or stop in for one of many beers on tap, a mixed drink and some popcorn -that's what I did! The atmosphere is awesome. One of a kind.
Twin Peaks stars in attendance.
This is one of my favorite independent film houses in Columbus. They are a great place to see mainstream films, they work with film festivals and host watch parties for hockey games, for example.
Great place for a beer on Monday. The theater is nice and homey. Great vibe.
Retro theater and bar great combo plus Fritz the Night Owl
Really nice dinner theater/bar.
Absolutely love watching movies here, or just grabbing a beer with friends.
I had a great first date here! The staff was so friendly, I loved playing the games they had available and the really enjoyed primo pizza!
Clean theater, awesome beer selection, and friendly staff. Any opportunity I have to come here over one of the big chains, I'll absolutely take it.
Great bartenders, cozy environment, good beer and drink choices.
Love this theatre. Always having fun special showings and a great beer selection to boot
Fantastic theater - a Clintonville institution. A huge tap list and friendly staff. Currently undergoing renovations to add a second screen. Our favorite place to see movies and a great place to just sit and have a drink.
A true gem of a movie theater. The bar has an excellent selection of craft and local beers as well as some movie-themed takes on classic drinks. There's no kitchen, but from the counter you can order food from nearby Pizza Primo. Honestly, I like the atmosphere so much, sometimes I don't even bother with a movie. This is a great place to just hang out with your friends. The theater itself is also worth the price of admission. It's an old-school single screen, but everything has been recently renovated, including tables in the back if you want to bring your food or drinks with you. The movies are usually the big Hollywood picture of the day, but there's a lot of special programming as well, like a monthly showing of ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW among many others. Highly recommended.
Priemere of Joker was awesome to watch. Being able to bring in a tall PBR to the cinema adds a level of theater-movie enjoyment you don't expect to achieve. Will absolutely be seeing movies more there in the future.
A Clintonville staple. Lots of alcohol choices too. Staff are really friendly. Rocky Horror shows every fall.
The Studio is a single screen cinema with a Drafthouse. They partner with Pizza Primo to offer pizza, subs, and wings. Of course popcorn is available, and you can add M&Ms for $.50 a scoop! The staff is friendly, and attentive. This theater is older, but is maintained well, and is very clean. Studio 35 also hosts special events, and shows a variety of cult movies. If you enjoy cinema then you must check it out.
What amazing movie theater. Why does variety of beers I’ve ever seen in any movie theater before. Nice place
Elephant Man was as wonderful as I remember. And meeting a cast member who lives in the neighborhood was the best surprise ever! Thanks Studio 35!
Great bar and great theater combine to make one of the best experiences columbus offers.
Excellent beer and fun concept. Watched Crew match here
