This Movie Theater belongs to the category of Drive-in movie theater.
I haven't been to the drive in since E.T. was new - and now I'm not sure why. We had a great family time at Skyview. The rules provided a great experience for all. We had a fantastic view. The sound was clear. The grounds were well cared for and safe. We'll definitely be back.
This is a ‘real’ drive in- not a new construction. It was worth the drive from Houston just to come here and enjoy myself. The food at the concession stand is good, the staff are friendly, the sounds delicious film quality is good- I blended the old speaker with the signal from the 88.5 FM channel they use. When the weather is nice, this beats any theater! Who needs stadium seating when you have a comfortable car?
Venue is the best! Concession stand is great! Owner is amazing! Every employee working there has been top notch to me and my family! This is the only place to go for movies in the spring and summer!
Clean & Modern all the way around. Excellent experience, especially given there are only two left in the area.
I thought it was great felt like a kid again even though I didn't stay for both movies haha
Awesome place to go to watch Movies with the grandkids. Also brings back all kinds of memories.
Love drive ins. Small, clean, comfortable, easy. Good snacks. Summertime fun for doggies too.
We always enjoy this drive-in. Nothing like a drive in to catch a movie on the weekend.
Awesome place! Reasonably priced tickets and concessions. Took my 4 kids and had no issues.
Love this drive-in theater from food to two great new movies, love coming here.
Been going since I was 2 now I take my children. 40 years later, still one of my favorite things to do as a family. Please tell everyone you know, not many people go anymore because of the new gadgets. I'd hate to see this place close for lack of business. There are less than 100 of these in the US. Let's keep this one alive!!!
Had such a great time here and the food is good plus very clean!! Will be back!!
Wonderful place to watch a double feature. I highly recommend taking the whole family for a trip to the Skyview cruise in. Well maintained, clean, family entertainment with a great concession stand! This place is worth traveling to. If you haven't been, then you are missing out! One of the top attractions of Lancaster Ohio. Open from March to October you don't want to miss out. Special note this place is pet friendly, which is an awesome perk!
Been going to this same drive in since I was a kid. Great pricing great time. Just note if you can come by car and not SUV or truck you will find a better spot.
Great pricing when compared to a standard movie theater.
An American tradition and great family time.
This place is great fun and is worth the investment of time. I recommend showing up early as it gets very busy. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that some of the staff don't seem to know what they are doing and it causes confusion for we customers. Also, they supposedly have a radio broadcast for the audio that didn't work, so you are stuck with the tiny pole speakers. The concessions were run well and the bathroom wait was acceptable. Overall it's a great summer experience.
Great enjoyable night Food was great popcorn best around
We always have a good time here.
Very friendly staff and a clean facility. The picture was clear and the sound quality was good. There's nothing like watching a movie at a drive in. We'll definitely be returning.
Always clean friendly family fun place! Kudos!
Lovely place, it has really kept up to date over the years. It has been sometime since I visited but the avengers and pokemon movie was great entertainment. Thanks guys!
A classic slice of Americana. There's nothing quite like sitting in the bed of your truck and eating concession food while watching the latest family film on a 50ft screen. Weather permitting, you can have a classic 1950's date night.
Great, clean place, and awesome way to take the family out too.
What a great place to go watch movies. Very friendly employees and fun place for adults and children the same. Went to another drive in Columbus and couldn't handle cannabis smell all over and found Skyview doesn't tolerate drinking and drug use. Would recommend this place to anyone that enjoys the old way of enjoying their movies outside. Thanks for the remarkable experience will return for many more movies to come.
Fantastic place to go with children for a family fun night. Always enjoy going here. We go at least twice a month
One of the last drive-ins in the area. Always clean and a good crowd.
Great clean place. Fun for the entire family including fur babies. Great environment, restroom facilities were clean. Concession stand was very clean and the food was good and fair prices. 2 movies are shown in digital quality. Our family had a great experience here for around $40. Food and popcorn included. We brought a cooler with pop. They do allow coolers but NO ALCOHOL . AWESOME PLACE ! WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND .
Ive been here many times.... and its worth it! Very classic! you can take the speaker's from the holders or turn on the radio and tune in... the channel takes over when your there then when you leave it turns back to the original channel. Would definitely keep going... its still good in the rain too!
My story is very similar to a lot of other ppl’s stories and centers around one man. He’s been referred to by many names. The old man in the golf cart, rude guy in the golf cart, ect. I’ve come to find out that he’s the owner. I live in Boston, Ma and my parents live in Athens, Oh. Last week my family and I traveled over for our family reunion. We had planned on staying in town for a week and one thing I really wanted to fit in was a trip to the drive-in(I hadn’t been to one since I was very young). My 2 nieces, my nephew and I all jumped in the car and drove over, I was beyond excited. Just like everyone else, upon arrival I was given an orange flyer. I honestly didn’t pay attention to the color at first, I saw a great spot so I parked. That’s when I was approached by ‘He who should not be named’. “You were given an orange flyer?” he asks. “Oh, ya I guess I was.” I responded. “Well, that’s white.” Now, don’t get me wrong. It’s not what he was saying, it’s how he said it. Most business owners would have approached us and politely told us why the color system is important(again, I
Has delicious food and the concession is incredibly clean. Best popcorn and fish sandwich I've ever eaten. Great entertainment for practical prices!
Great family fun. We went for toy story 4 and Aladdin both great movies. The drive in is actively patrolled by deputies in golf carts so it stays safe. The concession stand has a huge selection but if you order anything that has to be prepared as you order like Italian subs omg it took 3/4 of the first movie before it was ready. I understand they were busy but don't sell what you can't do in a reasonable time. Get there early and there are tons of kids having a blast playing in the grass right in front of the screen.
Awesome place great food , friendly people,
This is one of the last great finds in America an actual Drive-In that plays 2 first-run movies back-to-back. And they have reasonable prices on their food and concessions!
Such a fun way to watch movies!! Well run and clean
Good for the whole family. Food is affordable
Just Awesome. Great to take the Family
Love the old fashioned tradition made modern. Yet the lot floods when it rains. Leech beds or something would do wonders.
Clean, friendly and safe. Law enforcement on site. Reasonable prices. Speakers ok. Movie lineup not so good this season, but comparable to other drive-ins. A variety of food and snacks. Food was better than expected...and Concession closes directly after 2nd show begins. Friday and Saturday, cars start lining up between 5-6 pm. Its not always guaranteed you will get in .
Been yrs since I was here but it was great!
Good ol'days fun..
The movies were great and the prices in the concession were really good especially for the amount of food and sizes of the sandwiches! ! Wonderful experience !!
The drive-in itself is nice, but I have a few gripes with the place. I'll say that if you want to have the best quality experience, you should try to get in the first three rows, because for some reason they let big souped-up trucks and SUVs in the front rows. Now I'm not saying they don't have a right not too see the movie, but just be aware of this if you have a smaller vehicle like a sedan. There's this guy who drives around on a golf cart during the films, I think he's the owner, who always gets a big head about the littlest things; I was there once with a few friends and he told us we couldn't put out our lawn chairs too close to the gravel road, so we moved them back and he said they were too close to the other cars. We later saw him scream (much louder) at another group of people for being too loud. Prices are okay. Concession stand is a bit expensive but I guess that's to be expected. Go if you're in the mood for a drive-in, but go elsewhere if you just want to see a movie.
Great time. The snack bar is great as well.
Very clean and friendly place. Loved it. Brought me back to my youth!
Great place to watch some amazing movies, we have been here several very good and not to expensive food, lots of fun for kids and adults.
Excellent driveIn with awesome food selections
Lovely taste of history and remembering life gone by
Absolutely love this place ❤️ great people and good food, too.
Nothing like the ole' drive in experience. Quality isn't star blinding. But, the history of this place is amazing. And the owners and staff are extremely nice...and take care of their business well. One of 200 some drive-ins remaining in the U.S.A. Highly recommended. As a mid-20's year old I love the music...takes me back. A lot of fun. Good for whole family too! Not to mention much cheaper than the damn theater.
Onenof the last drive inns and their food is so good....porkntenderloins and their whale tail fish sandwiches.....awesome
Had a very awkward experience when taking my two year old daughter to the restroom. I was told by management while in the men’s restroom when I took her into a toilet stall that she wasn’t allow in there. Men had complained about the presence of little girls. He insisted her mother take her to the women’s restroom and after explaining that she was about to pee herself he pointed me to a nearby portapotty. I should add at this point it was 11:00 in the evening and no light was easily visible on the inside of this portapotty. The previous person came out of a dark portapotty so I assumed there was no light inside. I took her in and had a relatively difficult experience trying to make she didn’t get her clothes dirty on the wet ground, slip on or fall into an obviously full toilet, and clean her up after using the toilet. At this point I realized I had no way to easily clean our hands after that, so I asked what to do. I was informed that I could let my two year go into the women’s restroom alone to wash her hand even though she couldn’t reach it, get the mother to do the same for her, or ask any female worker to wash her hands for her. I eventually asked a woman working at the snack counter to wash her hands, which they did. A lot of this could have been sorted out if they had put a sign expressing the concern and an easy set of directions or a map of where to go. I guess I should also say that there were also no changing tables to be found in the actual bathrooms. This is really a shame because otherwise it seems like a decent place.
It's an inexpensive and fun time for the family. The concessions are reasonably priced with a wide selection. You get 2 movies for less than it typically costs to go to a normal theater and the resolution is great for an '80 screen!
Its a cool place well worth a visit wish there were more around
The movies were good but it was a weekday with not even half the lot filled but was told to move because we were at the wrong colored pole. My granddaughters went to get popcorn and asked for cheese to be put on it. The woman working the concession stand said she couldn't do that. She could put it in a cup. I said she wants it on the popcorn and the woman replied the cheese was hot. Duh! So was it any cooler in a cup than put on the popcorn? Just stupid!
Love the movies here. Wish there were still more around like it.
Took our kids to see the lion king last night. As soon as we parked an old man in his golf cart drove up and firmly asked at us to move our truck (also the people next to us). We gladly moved it since it was our first time and we weren't completely sure about positioning. He came back 2 more times to tell us to move again, but never stayed long enough to actually confirm we were in the correct spot. He came back once again to tell at the guy next to us for sitting on the cab of his truck. Turns out he is the owner and kind of a jerk (understatement). As soon as the movie started, the terrible sound quality from the speakers became noticeable. If the owner hadn't been such a jerk I probably wouldn't have minded but he already ruined things. Get rid of the owner he's a jerk Maybe go to the fun barn instead :/
Clean, great atmosphere..the food prices are great
Favorite family place. Super fun. Prices are great. $8 for to movies you definitely can't beat that. Food prices are great too.
A drive-in theater that's still running. Selection of movies is hit and miss. Admission went up recently and you can't skip the first movie. So if that movie you want to see is playing after a kids movie that's been showing for THREE weeks straight, you can't even pay full price to skip it. Would recommend allowing people to buy tickets up through intermission if they keep playing the same movies into the ground. My family now goes almost exclusively to Cinemark because we simply don't have time to watch movies we don't care to see! Food from the concession stand is of fairly nice quality.
Great movie selection. Nice parking area.
Great family fun. Food is a great price.
Pretty sure I’ve been to my last drive in movie
Amazing place. Very friendly staff, concession stand wait time wasn't terrible. Only thing I didn't like was people kept turning on their headlights during the movies, but that's nobody's fault at Skyview. Plan to return in the future for sure!
Had a great time with my family! The movies were great!@
Will go back. Great video and sound
Good movie , not to people but love it, good music, good food all away round good, good, good.
One of the best drive ins I've ever been too, very clean, organized, and a wonderful staff. Love the nostalgic speakers at each parking spot
Great environment, great prices. I would just like to see movies other than Disney or cartoons. The first movie can be a children's movie. But why have 2 children's movies consistently. Children mist likely fall asleep after the 1st one. Just need more of a mix up.
The side speaker where I was park didn't work but it an awesome drive in. Great family place with DJ on weekends. The movie picture quality was great.
Nice place for family get-togethers
The overall experience here is great. The food is pretty affordable and there are many options to choose from. It was my first time at a drive in and it was enjoyable. The one thing I wish would change is the fact that people are allowed to smoke. I had people smoking on both sides of me. I don’t want to smell or inhale smoke during my time at the movies and I don’t believe that makes a good environment for children. I myself am very sensitive to cigarette smoke and tend to get headaches from the smell. I wish it was a non smoking place or there was at least a smoking section.
We love Skyview! It’s always clean! We feel safe there. And they have entertainment throughout the summer which is a lot of fun!
They keep the drive-in experience alive! Been going to this place close to 15 years and it still stands first class! Speakers for each car, or the radio if you want a little better sound experience. Glad it's still here, just a little tight on specific rules. I understand as to why, it's just I feel their approach to enforcing them could be a little better at times.
Very nostalgic. Hard to find a drive in anymore.
No experience like the drive in! So much fun to pack a cooler and snacks and take in a blockbuster movie in the open summer air.
Old guy drives around on his kart and really can’t leave people alone. I had just parked and he was already yelling to me about turning my engine off. I love this place but he kills the mood.
Very nice and good food Price .
