At half the price of a standard movie theater with none of the atmosphere lost, this place makes going to the theater feel more like a treat and less like an expense. I am a big fan of movie theaters. There is nothing like seeing a movie larger than life, with the sound coming from all directions, as you munch on some butter-laden popcorn. It's an experience that I never want to give up. But, like most of us, I don't have a bank account large enough to make it a regular event. But then I visited Encore Cinema. I can get a ticket and a popcorn for less than I would be paying for just a ticket anywhere else. The movie releases are delayed by several weeks, so this is not the place to go for a midnight premiere. But how often do you feel the need to see a movie the day it comes out? For me, that happens only a couple of times per year; far less often than I just want to see a movie at some point during its theatrical run. So for the superhero blockbusters and movie adaptations of my favorite books, I'd go somewhere else. But for anything and everything else, I'd come to Encore every single time. Encore Cinema is a godsend if you enjoy the experience of seeing a movie in-theater, but find the cost too high to be worth it. The delayed releases are a minor issue at worst, and it's more than worth it for the lower cost. The friendly service and locally-owned nature of the cinema is just icing on the cake. I recommend Encore Cinema to anyone and everyone who loves a good movie.

Horrible experience. Popcorn tasted burnt, waited in the one of the two lines that was formed, I get up to the register with the manager I’m assuming, and she walks away from her register and goes to play on her phone. There were 3 other guests behind me and I said are you going to help us and she said very snobbish I’m busy go to the end of another line. Then the isles aren’t lit up in the theaters so you can’t see where your going which is completely unsafe ! Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Evidently they only show movies after 8pm strictly on Friday’s and Saturday’s. We showed up for their advertised $3 movie Tuesday special and were denied access at 8:45 for a 9p showtime of The Mule. We like the theater and the prices, but I can’t do above 2 stars after wasting gas to get out there. I would advise management to update the website to reflect these times. Sad.

Awesome to see and support the "Cheap Seats" theater in our town. They have made significant improvements to the theaters and lobby area and maintain it better then most first run theaters. Food selection is great with many combo deals. Prices are reflective of a 2nd run movie theater which makes for a great family outing at less than have the cost of 1st run theaters. Staff is definitely trained in customer service because everyone is polite and attentive. Bathrooms, lobby and theaters are always clean! Great job Encore!

I am always thankful for this local theatre. I've been going since I was young and bring my children here too. The pricing is so gracious, everyone should make the time to visit before renting your favorite new releases sometimes. It costs not much more than renting at the moving store and it's a great outing plus you're supporting a really nice business.

Five bucks on a Saturday night is great. The problem is the sound. There are speakers up the theater but sound coming only from the front. Also at times the sound was so low it was hard to hear. They have to make some repairs to some areas. However be it is a good value.

Have only seen Trolls & Beauty & the Beast @ Encore, but this theatre is thee fave. Not only is pricing a sweet deal, but to pay under $5 & then NOT get wallet violated by the snack bar? Best deal yet! GO TO ENCORE if u are cheap like me & won't pay $30 to see a new flic w your 6yr old, or wanna revisit a fave! Cleanest facilities, FRIENDLY staff, & The BEST DEAL around! Will see Despicable Me 3 here as a it is on this fine, $ saving screen.

I went to see "A Star is Born" today. The theater was very clean, the seats were extremely comfortable, the price of a ticket was right, and the cost of refreshments was reasonable. The picture screen was large and the sound quality was very good. I would give this theater a 4.5 out of 5 rating!

This is the worst dump of a theater I've ever set foot in. It wouldn't surprise me to learn the positive review here was written by a shill. Thanks to coming to this website and learning these rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional people also operate the Skyway Drive-In, I will also never spend a nickel at that place either. My female friend and I, who are big fans of watching movies in theaters, were so rudely treated by the staff, who all seemed bent on making us feel we were a tremendous incovenience to them, that we will happily spend a few dollars more to attend theaters whose staff are not such complete jerks. The star on this review appears only because this site did not allow ZERO!

Small but cute theater. Not very busy, inexpensive tickets and snacks. We showed up after the previews and it was a little too dark to find a seat. We had to use our cellphone light to navigate. Otherwise it was an enjoyable experience.

Clean and well maintained, this is one of the best secondary theatres we have here in the Youngstown area. Staff is friendly, personable and accommodating. Ticket prices are reasonable as are concessions. My only complaint is the volume and surround sound. Volume was fairly low and the surround sound seemed almost nonexistent but not a trip killer for a dollar (or $4 reall, lol) show.

I took my wife and my two children to go see there first movie ever here. I needed everything to be perfect so my kids would have a good first memory. They are both very young but I know this theatre and the experience will last a lifetime. Its been a long time since I have been to the movies because the way I was treated at the regal. But thanks to this small cinema I will be going to the movies much more often. Also thank you for being affordable. I had a blast.
