Taking into account it's a ole establishment we had a good time and the staff was very friendly. The food and popcorn was hot. I liked that they had a buzzer so u didn't have to stand around waiting for your food. They have rewards for frequent visitors. Only2 issues, There wasn't any soap in the bathroom. Even after telling the young lady on our second trip to the bathroom there still wasn't any soap and she said she forgot. Also it's gets really dark out there and the movie Black Panther started out very dark and it was very hard to see the darker scenes in the movie. Overall we will be visiting again.

Love going to this place! It brings back wonderful childhood memories of going to the drive in theater in Walkertown, NC. There is nothing like watching a movie under the stars. The food is great and they have the BEST popcorn of any theater around. I suggest bringing a radio to listen to the movie because your car battery might die. (But no worries, they will happily give you a jump if that happens :)) Do your family and friends a favor and make the trip here, you wont regret it!

It was good. Huge screen, good food. If you were out of your car or your car won’t stay in “accessory mode” then you haft to rent a radio for $5 from them. Unless you bring your own radio.

This place is great!! Family friendly old scool drive-in. Tasty and affordable snacks, great picture quality, and the tickets are really inexpensive. Every member of the staff was kind, friendly, and helpful. This was our first visit. It will not be our last!! We have a new favorite theater. Totally worth the 40min drive from Durham.

You'd have to stand on top of your truck to actually block someone's veiw behind you, you're not allowed to sit on the back of a toolbox in your truck when it doesn't obstruct anyone's view? Not worth the 8 dollars if you can't even be comfortable, never coming back

Awesome 1st time. Spent the night Friday 13th. All night horror movies! Didn't find out til I rented one ($5) that you really dont need a radio to hear. A small line by the time it opened. Type of cool place you kind of hope alot of people dont find out about but it's been there forever so go figure.

Had a wonderful experience during my first visit to the Raleigh Road Outdoor Theatre. The radio setup for sound was very easy, the parking lot was spacious, and the staff made sure nobody was blocking anyone's view. Concessions are very cheap and the programming was great.

Didn’t like how the big guy talks to the guests while we were waiting for the movie to start. This was last weekend. He talks down to his guests and kinda looks through them, my girlfriend felt very uncomfortable around him. Popcorn took way too long to get (around 30 mins) and the food took close to a hour (hamburger & corn dogs) and was real bland, Bologna sandwiches would’ve tasted better. To me this place doesn’t seem to care about the experience as a customer but more about the bottom line (money). Will not be back.

Me and my girl had a time to remember! Though it was cool to have the park off to the side for the kids. And excellent friendly service!

It's really kid and family friendly. Just make sure you have a good battery life in your car! The girls beside us needed a jump to get home! You have to tune your radio to 90.3 or bring a radio to tune! And get there early for the best parking spots if you have a truck or SUV. We were an hour early and could have been at least 30 mins early for that . I didn't know being our 1st time. Get food early or wait at least 40 minutes into the movie or it may take a little for they were packed! We lucked up on that!

This place is pretty hard to beat on the value scale. Typically showing two movies (one first run, the other an older second run) for under $10. That is some serious value. They recently purchased a fancy pants digital projector, so the picture is nice and crisp. Audio comes into your ear-holes through your radio, so make sure your battery is good and your speakers aren't busted. It is a pretty good hike from Raleigh and there are very limited food options in the area. I think most folks end up getting food from their concession stand, which again is very reasonably priced. Word of warning: Don't come super hungry, because the food service is SLOW. Pretty broad range of food options available and they taste...OK enough. Will certainly be back.

Me and my friend were literally 7 minutes late. The guy at the window (oldish with grey facial hair) said "turn off your lights and go all the way to the back.... and I know you will but try not to disturb anyone else while you're here." And my friend who was driving answered politely and then he slammed the window in our face. This is not the experience I expected from an outdoor theater. Also it took 30 min for them to cook our food

They did not stop cars from entering during the movie and they do not assist cars with parking or have number spots. The first 20 minutes of the film was completely ruined by cars coming through and lights on the screen. We stayed for the second film as well but a car pulled right into the space in front of us that wasn't really a space. There are poles to help keep cars staggered so each spot has a view. They refused to move. We ended up having to move our chairs and blankets to the other side of our spot instead. What a shame because with a little better management it could have been a great experience.

Fun experience, but many modern movie goers either don't know or were never taught drive in etiquette. Expect, frequent bright flashlights, the occasional vehicle head lights as well as more amorous distractions.

After reading other reviews, I would have loved to experience the various concessions and atmosphere of the drive in movie, but I wasn’t even able to get into the lot. I drove an hour with my girlfriend to this drive in with our tickets paid already online and arrived about 30 minutes before the second movie started. I messaged the company on Facebook and they told me that the gate stays closed during showings, which I totally understand. The issue comes when they tell me that the movie is going to start a few minutes later than the scheduled time, which was 10:45. So we drove to sit in the nearest lit parking lot and waited until 10:45 to drive back. When we get back, the gate is still closed with one of the staff replacing letters on the sign out front. At about 11:00 he comes and asks if he could help us with anything, and informs us that the second movie has been playing for 30 minutes already. So the movie actually started 15 minutes before they said it was going to on messenger AND they won’t let us in after we paid online for tickets? Horrible service, no help at all, and they stole our money. tl;dr It’s a shame that people don’t have common decency to help their PAID customers out. Thanks for the hour long drive back and forth for nothing with wasted money for tickets that we couldn’t even use because Raleigh Road lied about what time the movie was starting.

We had a great time taking my daughter and her friend to their first ever drive-in movie. Staff was helpful and nice, even provided rope so that we could tie down the hatch of our car and prevent it from obstructing the view of others. Bathrooms are available, as well as porta-potties if you can't/don't want to wait in line. Consessions are available with quite a few options, but the lines before the show are quite long. Overall a good experience! Reasonably priced movie experience!

I am a regular here, and I enjoy the overall experience. The concessions are of high quality, and crowding is not an issue if one arrives early or to a less popular lineup. The staff are consistently very polite and cooperative. This is by far one of the better places in Henderson. I recommend using a portable radio and finding a toggle or cover for inside car lights when running the AC or other accessories.

Place is great but I wish people would not turn on their lights in the middle of the movie or right when the movie is about to be over. I really love going to a drive-in theater. Would have given a 5, but they do need a little help in a few areas. Even though they give a nice brochure to explain how their concessions work, it's still really confusing for a first timer. It seemed like some guests just do not follow rules since there were several SUV's that parked on the first 2 rows for the second movie even when the rows are marked for cars only. And there is a business that is next door that is super well light. It's good to help you see when walking or driving but it's a little annoying when you're trying to watch the movie. The food we got was what I expected except the grilled BLT was lacking of the BLT for the price. They do have EXCELLENT Customer service from ALL the employees!!! I would definitely go back!

My husband and I come here for date night every so often and we have never had a bad experience. It's well worth the drive, the drive even adds to it. Lots of scenic country roads, it's pretty relaxing. It makes for an affordable romantic or family outing. In addition, it's nice to be able to watch a movie from the comfort of your own car. I like this setup much more than seated movie theatres. Its so peaceful, no one getting in front of the screen or talking during the movie. There are tons of snacks to choose from as well, and the staff are always so friendly. We always have a good time and leave happy!!

Having a fantastic time at the overnight Dusk-til-Dawn Horror marathon. We arrived too late to drive in for the first movie, but had no problem driving in for the second feature and being able to park our two vehicles together. Excellent instructions on how to get set up, and the menu selection looks amazing! We didn't get anything to eat this time, but we definitely will next time! Can't wait to come back for more retro movies!

We love this place! We wish it was a little closer for us but it's a great experience for the family. The concessions have good and very reasonably priced food. You might have to wait a while for a burger but it's worth it. Plus they are always playing quality double or triple features with new/recently released movies.

This is an old school drive in and very cool! The people are wonderful and the food was incredible! I couldn't believe they had hand cut fries and use real steak for the steak and cheese subs. They also have hand pattied hamburgers as well. We drove 2 1/2 hours for the all night Horror Night and we'll definitely be back. Great job!

I had never gone to a drive in movie theatre, but always wanted too! My friend persuaded me to go after I had recently shared my bucket list, and attending a drive in was on there. I was hesitant at first, and kept saying no, but I am glad I gave in and went because I had a great experience! It is always nice to try something new and not mundane. We watched Aladdin, and we both loved it!! It was awesome to bring our dogs with us, Peeku & Habibi, though they slept in the back of the SUV for the majority of the time. I would go again!

The few outdoor theatres that I've visited all seem to be set up differently. This one was a little confusing, maybe due to being understaffed. You HAVE to enter the premises with your head lights off...Apparently your headlights can be seen through the gate where everyone is watching the movie. My first time going, it was pitch black outside and I couldn't make out where the entrance was since was it was out in the woods on dirt road entrances. Nobody was at the entrance booth( which should stay lit up and attended by someone throughout the night). So we sorta crashed the show with my high beams on because apparently I didn't do it right since there was nobody at the entrance to show me or tell me. So yes, I was shooed out by "the big guy" mentioned in one of the other comments. Next time I'll know the drill (pull in with my headlights off and wait at the shack/booth till the "Open" sign lights up so I can buy my ticket and enter the right way) but by then, we'll probably have our own drive in here in town which is scheduled to open in the spring. Can't wait!

You can't beat $7 for two new-release movies, and I love the outdoor experience. The food is decent and not priced like a movie theater. Sometimes I wish they would play something else, or list their films in advance, or not run so late, but that's clearly outside their control. This place is just fun.

Excellent as it's the only outdoor movie theater around here. Ticket prices are dirt cheap and food options are Priced Right. Do yourself a favor and bring a battery powered FM radio to pick up the audio. Plan to sit outside and enjoy the night. Screen is very bright in the food is above-average.

It's a "Fun-Filled Family Activity" place. This one is a great place to take your family too. I feel safe and secure there. The park for the children is wonderful. I wish the screen was bigger but it's okay since the tickets are affordable and you get to watch two movies. Like every other theatre their food prices are high and the portions are very small for what you pay. I got a steak and cheese sub and there was barley any steak in it. Mostly just green peppers and onions. Also they didn't have anything ready in the kitchen because we had to wait 20 mins or more after they had opened to order and then the people didnt seem welcoming or friendly when they finally opened.

Love coming here! We visit here about twice a year. Worth the travel to catch a double or triple showing. Friendly folks, good food and just a nice family excursions all around. Only wish we had an outdoor theater closer to home. Thanks again!
