REVIEWS OF AMC CLASSIC Blueridge 14 IN North Carolina

Jorge D Hernandez

The fact that they still pop their popcorn makes this movie theater a great experience. Loved it.

crystal Williams

The movie premier i saw was GREAT and the popcorn and slush deal for $5 was great as well, however the theater is still run down, smelly and has terrible seating. This theater has gone up in prices but not in decor quality!

Evelyn Murphy

Great experience! People were nice and movie theater wad clean!

spikeconley

Very unfortunate that they can't seem to find a business model that works for this place. I don't know if they were actually losing money with the cheap tickets, or if they thought they'd make more by charging near full price, but now the fun is all gone. It used to be great to know there was a budget movie theater (that we always called the "dollar theater" even as the price crept up a few quarters) for those who don't want to pay $20 for a movie and snack. If you had to wait a couple months to see your movie, so what? There was still the same stream of movies coming through here, just at a slight delay. But now, the lower quality of the theater can't compete at the prices charged. Now for a couple dollars more I can see a movie in a really nice theater with better sound, reclining stadium seats, and better quality snacks. There seems to be no real value here any more. Maybe a dollar theater just can't exist here - too bad really. If saving $2 off your ticket price is really the most important thing to you, then I suppose this is the place to go.

Marcela Thomas

Movie theater isn’t as bad as the reviews say. The theater is super old and could use an update and cleaning but whatever. I had a great experience and if that’s the only theater in the area to watch the latest movies I wouldn’t mind going back.

Shalin Rathi

Short staffed. Seats were missing in one of the aisle. Even after having purchased tickets online, we had to wait in ticket buying queue to get our tickets scanned.

Sherry Alexander

Shows more than one movie at a time, well stocked refreshment counter. Liked it better when the tickets were $2.

Ines Rios

Old theater but looks nice. The staff is kind.

Glenn Wright

Theater is dirty, staff rude, was bearable when prices were $2 but now it's jumped to $7.50 and food/drinks are smaller portions. Not a place I want to visit anymore.

John Hamlin

Good value and decent location

CARL CAPPOTTO

Great place. Online ordering is easy. Affordable for sure. Long movie tho, (avengers) finished a whole six pack that I snuck in and it still had 45 min more .

Yash Kamdar

Extremely smelly, bad speakers, bad seats. One of my worst experiences watching a movie so far.

Gary Cooper

This place is exceptional for an AMC. The place is actually really big and a little creepy when nobody's around on a weeknight.

WGB Blizzy

Good theater just really cost when it used to be just $2.50

Steve Karnes

Clean, good service, not high end theater quality. Friendly environment.

Lamecia Bowen

We paid full price to see secret life of pets 2 and the seats was nasty- Stains everywhere, dead bugs on the floor. We got a refund and left before the movie started.

Jason Mckinney

The staff here has always been friendly, but ever since AMC took over and jacked up the price of tickets and changed the combo deals this theater isn't worth wasting your money on. It's a very old theater and not with $7 per ticket. When it was Carmike and they only played movies that had been out for awhile the tickets were only $2.50 and I would take my family all the time. There are much nicer theaters in the area for the same price this one charges so my money will go there now.

Naomi Coleman

The lobby was decent since the price change. Now the auditourms need to be remodeled. I love this theater because it's still affordable America even after 10pm

Philip Craft

First time at this theater. It was a pleasant experience overall. The seats seem a little worn out. Friendly staff made up for little stuff. Will probably go back

Tia Malak

Staff are friendly, concession stand was good and the movie was good. It's just a small old theater. The price is reasonable.

cheryl Herman

Remodeled front Not the individual theaters yet. Seats are worn out your butt hurts & terribly dirty /dusty. Food to expensive for this. Probably won't be back..

J Bigler

This is no longer a 2 dollar movie theater. Just a regular AMC. Just watched Spider-verse there and the speaker had a bunch of white noise. I informed the manager twice about this and both times, nothing was addressed. Which is fine I guess if you dont mind watching a big screen movie with distracting white noise. I'm a little salty as I write this review, so take it with a grain of salt. But yes. Little disappointed.

Vanessa Cruzpagan

The staff is friendly but the theater is run down. The seats and carpet are dirty. It even smells old. It wasnt as bad when the movies were cheap, but now they charge just as much as really nice theatres. The chairs are outdated and uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend coming here. This place needs and entire remodel.

Carolina C. Alford

Old affordable tickets are gone. Now full price in the same old building.

Rob Stevenson

Me and my wife had a horrible experience at this theater this weekend. We parked at the theater and decided to walk around town for about an hour to kill time. We planned on coming back to purchase a ticket and see a movie. When we got back to the theater we noticed that my car was gone. When I went into the theater to see what happened, a manger by the name of TYLER didn’t say a word, instead he walked over to a stack of papers and handed me one. Apparently they tow cars in there parking lot for non paying customers. The parking lot had more empty then full spots so it wasn’t like they needed room. Tyler was very rude and told me to walk with my pregnant wife over an hour away to the tow yard. In the rain. He refused to let me use their phone for a cab. He also refused to give me a corporate number. The tow was also $250.00. I’m in shock that this happened at a AMC.

David Dietz

Prices are so high now . For a little more I would rather go to a nice theater. Instead of something out of a Communist Third World Country.

Evan Woodard

Awesome movie theatre with great concessions stands and always has great movie choices

Jasponite!

The rooms themselves need updating. Seats are old and the surround sound leans towards poor quality which kind of spoils the movie. The theatre itself overall seems pretty clean and the employees are friendly.

Shannon Michaels

Love this little hidden gem! It offers the movies at a price you can afford to take your children to.

Lloyd Forman

We wanted to see an older new release so we decided to put on blinders and go to the AMC Blueridge. The film was very enjoyable, the theatre not so much. Broken & stained seats, worn carpets, poor sound system. This theater was tolerable when it was $2.99 per show. Now it's almost eight bucks per ticket and seven bucks for twenty-five cents worth of popcorn, Never again. Good bye Blueridge.

Dane Edwards

No longer $2.50 for a movie here. Not worth coming. Many nicer theaters in the area if you want to pay full price.

Mara Green

Great place to bring kids. The prices are very reasonable.

randumb2020

Well this was originally the Blueridge discount theater. AMC bought it out a while back. I thought maybe they would renovate but still has the original seats. But on a Tuesday night movies are still $5 so that's a great deal at any AMC and the popcorn is good

Mr Money

Fulfills my movie going experience at a cheap price, although we do miss when it was the $2 theater

Kathan Bender

The snacks were good, and the theater was clean. The people working were nice, also.

Josh DeLord

This place is a dump! I went to watch endgame and I left and got a refund before the previews started. The screen was small, the projector image was misaligned and the subwoofer was blown out. Not to mention the seats looked like they were 20 years old! Go to AMC park place and spend a little extra for a better experience. On a positive note the staff was friendly, but the facility is just severely lacking

Leonard Smith

Classic is an understatement. It's pretty much just old. That's not a bad thing just the facts. The ticket prices weren't bad only 7 dollars. Everything else was normal AMC prices.

Nicholas Myers

This theater has ways been a go-to for low priced showings. The ownership seems to have changed to AMC and the price went up. Will definitely continue to return and see if the service remains great.

Jessica Pridgen

We visited this theater often (almost weekly) because even though it frequently smelled like body odor and corn chips, and everything was sticky (no seriously, EVERYTHING), we could watch great movies we missed in their first run or get a second pass at one we loved for $2.25! We didn't complain because though The Ritz it was not, the great price made it worth it, and it was never crowded so we focused on the movie. Now they expect patrons to pay $6.99+ to venture into a theater where there's no guarantee there will even be a/c, when we could just pay an extra $3 and have great reclining stadium seating in a newer theater? No, thanks.

Jeree Smith

1 star from me and that's only because the ticket prices are cheaper than the rest of the movie theaters around. Other than that, the chairs are horrible!!! They're so old and faded. The floors and carpet are disgusting. After seeing the condition of the actual theater, I was afraid to order anything from the concession area. I remember when movies were $1.50, this place was so much better. You would think with the up in prices, they would've upgraded these theater seats and floors. NEVER AGAIN and that's too bad, because this place is only 10 minutes from my home.

Susana's Crafts

Great it is not expensive. They have all the new movies. I gave 4 stars because it is not a super clean place but the staff is maintaining it good. The screens are good quality. There is also tons of seating for friends and family. I hope you enjoy the theater.

Jolene Chapin

Good movies awesome price! Standard seats, no reclining option.

S Upshaw

It was great when it was the 2$ theatre. Still a bit cheaper than other venues, but needs updating to compete with theatres. The seats are pretty filthy.

Fred Shipman

Great place for peace and quiet

Valerie

We come to this theater every weekend but will never come back now that it is no longer a discount theater. We were willing to accept that this is an older theater, no theater seating because the prices were right. Now that the prices have increased, it's no longer worth it to drive to this theater. We will go to a theater near where we live and just go to a matinee instead and sit in a nicer environment; the price will be the same with the price increase. We sat in theater 2 and the ceiling had 4 areas open with insulation exposed. There were 4 seats that were covered with white sheets, and there was a yellow caution sign that said "wet floor." I bet this place goes out of business sooner than later. People won't pay higher prices to attend movies here. Consider renovating or going back to being a discount theater.

Kristen Brabham

Definitely needs upgrades. They should lower ticket prices for the quality of the theatre. Fortunately it is not the worst and they do keep it pretty clean considering. Staff was nice as well.

Anna Fragiorgi

We love coming here. The price is perfect and at under $2.50 pet ticket, you don't mind spending money on popcorn and a drink. The staff are really nice, the place is clean, and the seats are really comfy. This is our movie theater of choice. Lots of bonus when you join their rewards program... completely worth it!

Christopher Ruckle

My children have grown up at this theater. I have gone there since the 90's when it was $1.25. Nothing has ever changed about this theater. They did renovate the consecration once. But nothing fancy. We went a few weeks back to see a movie. We generally will wait till they come to this theater before seeing. To our surprise it was now over $30 for us a $21 jump. We where told that it was because this is now a first run theater. Even tho we where seeing a movie that came out a month ago. I understand things don't last forever but it's sad to see the harsh truth of a corporation taking over and just running a iconic landmark into the ground. I guess our family will have to find new traditions as in the past we would plot out time charts on movies so we could watch 3 - 4 in one day. This would just not be affordable to do any more.

Susan Dodson

Nice staff. Used to be the $2 theater so the seats are sorta janky. But a movie theater is a movie theater. Lots of movies/times to pick from.

Adam Modlin

Not the newest theater, but nice. And amazing prices

Abigial Turner

Nice theater with lovely employees. The seats and layout could use a bit of an upgrade, but well worth it for the price

Brandy Walker

Very friendly staff and great deals on tickets

Rory Mackin

Movie looked good and sounded good. Older theater so we knew what we were getting.

Dave Berger

Horrible! ...film was SO blurry! Told management and nothing changed. Price for this place has tripled, but seating and atmosphere has not improved.

RaShanda Chambers

I don't know why people are complaining. They show new movies and are still cheaper than anywhere else. Only disappointment is that kids are the same price.

Deven Amin

Oh man where do I start. The ticketing booth... isn’t a booth, they use the concessions stand for buying tickets. No showtimes posted except online. A REGULAR popcorn and cup of water was more than the ticket price. Women’s restroom is not accessible, tape across the door. The icing on the cake is inside each theatre room. 95 seats and boy are they crusty... I think the seats are supposed to be red but they’re brown now. 10 rows of seats and they’re all on ground level... no step up between each row. It’s unfortunate for people who are in the front row because they likely have chronic vertebral pain.... oh wait not enough people come to this place to have people be forced into that disability. Saw a little Mexican boy hopping between movies, and I wasn’t worried about the lack of security... but rather the lack of his parenting. Ya, I’m never gonna get my moneys worth from this place.

Michaela Cestari

When this was a cheap $2 theater, I didn't care about the poor quality of the theater. Now that they want near full price for tickets, they should at least clean up the place. It's super gross. All of the seats look like they've accumulated years of dust and grime from all the people. The nice and friendly staff is the only reason I didn't give this 1 star. If you want to see a movie, don't go here, just pay more for a normal theater or wait to rent.

Steve Wright

This place gets some undeserved negative reviews. Come on folks... remember that you wanted a cheaper ticket. You can’t compare this AMC to a newer theater.

Rob Rea

They raised their prices. Not worth going anymore. Can go to Stone Theater in Morrisville for .25 cent more. That theater is much newer and clean. Food is better. Seats are better

John Moody

Well, here's an update since it changed ownership to AMC. It's no longer a $2 theater, that changed in August 2018. The movie costs are $5 before 4pm and $7 after 4pm. They have self serve drink station and butter/oil area for popcorn, but tell you the truth when we were there the place was really dirty around these areas. The bathrooms needed cleaned and some stall doors the latches didn't work. When you walk in the main hall to theaters there is an odor that is reminiscent of a urine smell. The theater is looking dated and that was fine when it was $2 per movie, but not fine when you increase the price. I gave this place a 3 star because of the staff working there. We were greeted by a friendly young man at the concession stand where we bought our tickets. We also talked to other folks there that smiled and were friendly to us. I still miss the $2 movie price, but I guess all good things must come to an end.

DOMENIC MUTO

What started out as a bad evening dealing with another amc theater which I purchased tickets prior to tonight. As we show up for our movie, come to find out the theater was temporarily closed down but never got an email about them being closed. My girlfriend and I went straight to finding another movie theater. We came across blue ridge and talked to one of the concessions stand workers who spoke to a manager about our situation. The manager took a bad night and offered to give us 4 tickets to see the lion king. My girlfriend and I were stunned and happy all at the same time. Whoever this manager was that was working tonight and did that, you were a true blessing to my girlfriend and my two young stepchildren. Thank you for everything that you did tonight for us. words cannot explain what you did, how happy that made my stepchildren tonight still being able to see the lion king.

Russell Harris

Totally caught off guard by this place because from the outside it looks good and the staff (While young) is well trained. The facility is totally outdated. I was appalled by the condition of the seats and carpets. I was watching Avangers End Game but felt I was the one going back in time. This place has a lot of work to do before I will even consider a revisit.

Jamel Campbell

Affordable semi new movies. Great for weekend outtings.

Emily Hernandez

It stinks and it’s certain seats that are covered , one even had a blood stain ! Completely disappointed

Craig Archer

A family of three can see a movie here with popcorn and drinks for less than $10,000. Unfortunately it's pretty expensive for what used to be a second run, $2.00 theater. The place is pretty run down, it was great when the wife and I could see a movie with a large popcorn and two large drinks for $15 ( that was in 2017 for anyone wondering), but now? We're back to waiting for the DVD release for the most part.

John Barris

Ticket prices are awesome but the environment screams massive updates needed to this outdated theater. Employees were friendly but food was lacking.

Bill Lodge

Theater was practically empty. Nice staff but we miss the cheap cost of the old business.

kara ashley

For what this place charges, it is really dirty! The seats are dirty, it smells in most of the seating areas and you just feel gross being in there. I went tonight to see "small foot" and when we walked in there was a moldy smell with a bucket in the aisle because a part of the ceiling was missing and it was dripping water from the piping in the ceiling! They should not charge people basically what a nice theater costs for such a crappy theater. Probably will never go back to this place unless they want to go back to their old prices! I don't mind sitting in a crappy theater for $2 but they got really proud of a crappy theater and started overcharging!

Suriya Prakash

Affordable but didn't get the teater ambiance that I was expecting for

Jazmine Baldwin

The best- priced theater you'll ever go to. The staff is super friendly too.

John Rodriguez

Just needs seating updated for 5 star's. Otherwise great theater. Good prices, concessions cheaper than white oak theater

MHXH

Great place! Employee were very kind! And the movie was fantastic!

Edan Marie

Honestly I used to go here all of the time because of how cheap it was but the have really upped their prices ever since it became an AMC theater. Back when it was Carmichael cinema it was way cheaper and better options. However all of their changes are not bad like the new soda machine is pretty neat and the food is much more high quality. I think it's safe to say this place has its ups and downs but it's over all a great place to catch a movie

Kenyetta Burton

I'm giving it two stars because the staff is nice but the prices have gone up. It's not $2 anymore. and that's ok but like the other reviews said they should definitely do renovation to the seats especially and the smell now. I don't think all of the rooms are smelly but these past two times I've came. They do. They need the carpet cleaned or just new carpet. Overall my summary of review is: with the raise in prices, fix the seats and smell.

Kory Denny

Offers discount prices but that comes at a cost. Always have had an average experience. For a local cinema they are a few steps short of being very competitive.

Dave Myers

Ok.. Good place ...

Bertha Rangel

Needs upgrade. Just like the price upgraded

Terri Williams

If you are going to up the price, please up the quality. Those seats were too nasty to sit in! Especially if I’m going to pay full price! The extra star was for the manager not hesitating to give me an refund on spot! I did appreciate that! We ended up going to White Oak, I couldn’t go back on my word with my date to my five year old

Amy Lloyd

Favorite theatre! Pricing good. Could use some remodeling in theatre areas. New seating, floor clean and painting.

James Perry

The only reason I am not giving 0 stars is because I can't!!! The seats looked like they had never been cleaned since they were installed some were broken...you would of been sitting on the floor. The showing rooms were small as were the screen. Keep your money and find somewhere else to watch a movie.

Cameron G

Smells bad, dirty, old theater. Screen had minor tear in it. Movie was good though

delker Zurizaday

The man that was letting people in didn’t let us in.

Bethany Anderson

Last time I was here was probably 12 years ago and everything looks the same and it's horrible. Place is a dump. Pay 5.99 plus tax and seats and cupholders look disgusting. Need to wear a hazmat suit.

Callie Plays?

My experience was phenomenal there and the staff at the concession stand work so hard and clean up so well. Very pleased with the staff and security.

Chantee Antar-Joyner

Saw a lot of reviews about sticky floors and smells, but I was here last week to see IT and the place was clean and the seats were pretty comfy.

Bryan Lopez

I saw Brightburn here - the movie projected onto the curtains on both sides of the screen! I guess their screen size isn't the current standard, this being an older theater.

Amanda Kaiser

As with any theatre you get popcorn, drinks, snack goods, and treats. What I liked was the photo booth that I did with my daughter. It was exciting for her and I enjoyed seeing her smile. Clean facilities and good customer service but I believe more smiling to customers would be great.

M Cast

Price has gone up, and wish they would remodel. New carpet and wallpaper would really help. The seats here are horrible, especially for kids. They sit in it, and chairs fold back up. The staff is nice though.

Jonathan Hoffman

Sad that the prices have been raised but not the standards

Andrea Cam

Classic movie theater just wanted $5 Tuesday summer special. Classic movie theater.

Michael Bailey

The staff was welcoming and friendly but the facility needs some renovations

Scott Langfeldt

Now that they have raised their prices to nearly first-run, don’t waste your time with this theater. I would much rather spend an additional $3 and get comfortable chairs in a newer and cleaner theater, and see truly first run movies. **sigh**

Jedidiah Pearce

Under Carmike tickets were less than $2 and the condition of the theater could be excused. Now that it's owned by AMC and tickets are full price, there is absolutely no reason to go to this run down theater. Pretty much any other theater in the Triangle is a better choice now. AMC, bring the $2 tickets back!

Matt Manahan

This review is not directed towards the staff. The attendant I interacted with was super friendly. I'm sure you all work hard, but you should have a better theater to work in. I felt like I was going back to the 80s. Walking towards our theater, my friend commented that it looked like an old hotel. I commented that it smelled like one, too. The seats are the old auditorium kind. Mine was comfortable, but they were dingy and faded. The smell of old dust was so strong I could "taste" the air in the theater throughout the movie. AMC needs to do some serious renovations. I won't be going back to that location otherwise.

Zack Oliver

Bring back the $2.50 prices for slightly delayed films! The price is now $7.50, but theater was not renovated at all so it’s in fairly poor shape. Also, don’t do the online reservation through Fandango here because you still have to wait in the line. There is no kiosk or anything like that to speed the process up for online customers.

Nate N

2 stars because of the friendly staff. Otherwise I'd give it one star. As so many of the other low raters have said the prices have tripled and it's not worth it anymore. I never cared about first run movies. I have patience and can wait a few weeks. They used to have showings later in the evening too which would work with my work schedule. I'd pay 5 dollars but 7.50? Nope. Not for a stinky old theater that often smells like gym socks. If you catch their first showing earlier in the day you can pay 5 dollars but I'm usually not available for that showing (edit: just looked to see and they don't even have any shows before 5pm so their first showing is 7.50). I like to go in the evenings during the week. It was the end of an 8 year era for me. This was a great place to go to kill a couple hours before bed and maybe even see a great movie! I understand that they couldn't have been making much money so as I said before an increase to 5 dollars would still be manageable, but an increase to 7.50 is just ridiculous. I'd rather just watch Hulu or spend the extra few bucks to feel more comfortable and clean with stadium style seating at a cleaner theater. This isn't to say that the employees aren't doing their jobs. They're super friendly and they definitely appear to be doing their best to keep it clean. It's just an OLD grungy theater reminiscent of the 80's 90's because it obviously has not had an upgrade since then. The screens and sound systems work well, though but the seating and whatever that smell is... In summary, tripled ticket prices so you can see a new movie sooner... I'm just going to go to Crossroads if there's something I need to see right away. Thanks for reading!

Rhiannon Graye Raitz

Regular priced tickets, exorbantly priced concessions (and no small sizes) for the same ragged seats and theaters. I don't think so. What a gip.

Chase Green

Not the best movie theater, but still does the job of providing a good experience. The only thing that needs work in my opinion are the bathrooms

vilmaria Lozada

When the theater was rename to AMC they should remodel the theater ... it smells bad & seats aren’t comfortable like Regal theaters.... it’s an old theater... it is the closet .. it just look terrible

Janet Williams

Nice place totally under-utilized. LOTS of first run films all the time and convenient Raleigh location. Surprised we didn't have to fight crowds but you might like that aspect. I certainly wouldn't dismiss it as a great family film destination In this area.

JD Loftis

This theater used to be the absolute best because it was only $2.50 for older run films. My wife and I had been coming here for dates for over 10 years. It was run down, sure, but you got what you paid for. It was a Raleigh pillar and was ALWAYS slam packed busy on every single night, with long concession lines and a ticket queue out the door. Now they charge $7.00 for normal films. This is a cash grab by AMC, and I guarantee this theater will go out of business within the next year unless something changes. It's a cheap cash grab and a smack in the face to the community, and it will backfire on them. It was fun while it lasted, but no one will ever be coming back here again, and if they do they'll just be mad because they're still expecting it to be $2.50. Fix it.

Margaret Packard

Yikes! I know it’s slightly discounted ticket pricing, but goodness, the row in front of us is missing 2 seats and we were dead center! Also our refreshments were three times our admission! Wow! See photos, will post

Christine Becker

The building itself may not be as glamorous as some of the newer theaters, but it is clean, convenient, and comfortable. And this is the easiest theater parking ever :-)

Traci Ruffner

This used to be a $2.50 theater where you could see movies that had just left the more expensive theaters. It was a great date place when you didn't have a lot of money. Sadly, it is no longer the cheap place to go. If I am going to pay a lot for a movie, I am going to do so at a nicer theater like the Raleigh Grande.

Jennifer Anderson

Scared to sit in the seats! No really, they are so old, dirty and discoloured I would assume they are original upholstery from 1950's. Floor is dirty stained concrete. Screen and sound are pretty good. But for the same full price tickets I could get clean modern seats at the crossroads Cary. One star not meant for the service, just the utter disrepair of the theater seats. The ticket, concessions and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. Clean up crews were waiting as we exited the movie. Now AMC just needs to invest in some seat upgrades or we won't be back.

Damon McWalters

Staff is very friendly. Definitely needs an update. Air freshener would help. Support your local theater.

stephanie Jones

Awesome movies but not the newest movies

TrillionDollarBarber #

Horrible. You guys need to upgrade. These people let a whole bunch of cars get towed because people were parking there to go to the fair. Get this tho. There was no sign to say NO STATE FAIR PARKING. Then we couldn't even find the movie we paid for because they didn't have the theaters labeler. Horrible movie theater. Choose another one

- PJay -

Saw endgame here. The seats are kind of dirty & squeaky, otherwise everything is pretty good, other than the fact that nachos cost just as much as a movie ticket does. Nachos weren't bad tho.

Persephone Bloome

Maybe I've been spoiled by dine-in theaters and VIP stadium seating. Maybe I should have known that the "classic" in AMC Classic meant outdated and rundown. I mean it's fine. It's just not very nice.

cheryl R

I wish I could give it less stars. With them going up on prices they should have better seats. Seats have been there since the 90's. They smell like it too.

Dimple Mirchandani

This is a old theatre which is not an issue, but its EXTREMELY unclean. We entered hall no. 6 and were appalled at the sight, the seats look like they had not been cleaned for years, the carpets and seats all full of stain and dust. It really looked like a run down place. I couldn’t believe the state of the movie hall. I was surprised at how many people were still going for movies here. I don’t know if it was just movie hall 6 or all of them are this unclean and unhygienic. My husband and me walked out of the movie hall and got a refund on our tickets. The tickets might be cheaper than other theatres in the area, but please spend a little more and go to some other theatre. Wish had taken pictures! Wouldn’t even give it 1 star!!!

Mesha

They have roaches. Been twice because my bf is cheap the first time we both seen the roach and I freaked out, came back a second time and seen another one! Will not be returning

sarah Southard

Good place to go for a cheap movie. Older theater no stadium or recliners. But about 40% less than other theaters

John Limoncelli

This theater partners with the predatory towing company Unlimited Recovery LLC, which has 350+ 1* ratings here on Google. They have turned their parking lot into a sting operation for the NC State Fair, costing NC families hundreds of dollars in towing fees. Please be very wary of this business and their parking lot. Their towing partner has set up shop behind the theater this week and is quickly towing cars out of view behind the theater as soon as people park them, then booting them and towing them off one by one to their lot 10 miles away, where they're charging the owners $250 to retrieve them. They have dozens of booted cars hidden behind the theater at any one point in time. Keep in mind that they are doing nothing to discourage people from parking in the lot, as they're making significant amounts of money off of these families visiting the fair. The movie theater has pre-printed handouts at the concession stand explaining where your car has been towed to - they are complicit in this sting operation. Please ask yourself whether a business which allows it's contracted partners to prey on the community is worth your patronage.

Still the cheapest theater around and now with first run movies for under $8 is a bargain and a half. Families with kids now will be able to see Captain Marvel and Avenger movies when they first come out , without breaking the bank or waiting 25 weeks till it comes to a $2 movie. Lets see you remodel that.

Do not recommend! The theater I was in look like it was being demolished, chairs were missing, there was a tarp on another section. Smelled like my grandmothers attic.

Mike MacEachern

The tickets were way overpriced for the quality of the theater. The seats are very dirty. I could understand if the tickets were $1.50 like they use to be. Go to another theater this one is not worth it.

Justin Sebastian

This theatre is dumpy and long overdue for a renovation. I expected better from AMC

Kimberly Pedro

This is no longer a $2 movie location. It will now cost you $6.99 to see a movie. Do not Google the theater. They were purchased by AMC last Thursday apparently and coincidentally raised the cost of admission just in time for the weekend movie goers. Per the ticket rep you should go directly to AMC's website in order to get specific theater info. Imagine my shock when I visited on Sat and was asked to pay not $6 for three tickets but $22 instead.

This used to be a great place to see a cheap $2 movie knowing the experience wouldn't be great, but not caring because of the price. Now, movies are $7, and there has been no improvement to any part of the theater except that the movies are newer. The projectors still project the movie so that a quarter of it is hanging off the ends of the screen, and the place is still pretty dirty. For $2 it was worth it but not $7. Now it's just like every other theater except much much worse. Would rather just go to a regular theater.

Angelia Cotton

You will enjoy the movies and food. But if you plan to cash in on those point to get free popcorn or candy you're going to be very disappointed with the staff.

m c

What made this theater great was that if you missed the first run of a movie, you could see it here on the big screen. Huge disappointment that they’ve switched to new releases.

R paulino

It's ok .. for people that don't like a older , kinda dirty type of movie theater stay away! But if you don't mine and don't like crowded places with lots of choices to sit down .. you have founded your self a gem. It's still pricey .. well I guess it has the same prices as a upscale movie theater but lacking so much of character and a not so round down type of feel. Like I said if you picky don't go.

Jacob Narayan

Went to see IT 2 and it was a nice theater. Only like 10 people in the room and seats were pretty comfy. Much cheaper than my usual theater so that was great.

Sal Johnson

OK for the most part. But this movie theater needs a few upgrades snack stand and some new seats..

Patrice Dunn

I paid the up price for the movie to sit in dusty old seats and stale cold popcorn the staff was nice though

Anthony Moore

I've been to late showings. There are no long waits, theaters aren't crowned and they are clean

Patricia Monroig

IF YOU HAVE ANY SORT OF ASTHMA OR ALLERGY ISSUE DONT COME HERE. Ived never been to such a nasty theater. I used to go to a $5 one mind you. The staff was nice but everything else was awful. You could see the layers of dust on the chairs. The female bathroom had one 1 working stall. 2 of them had no locks, another one was clogged, and the wheelchair one had the door kicked out. The popcorn was nasty and stale and this was not worth the money. Do not come here. The owner needs to invest money into this place because you can tell they are cutting corners.

M L

The service was nice. But these seats are terrible. It looks like mold is growing on them. It just looks nasty.

Wray Braswell

Good prices, but a really old facility. The theater was clean and the staff were friendly.

Rod W

Smells like dry rotting or wet moldy. They need to fix and upgrade ASAP.

Aliyah Williams

They must have just finished renovations because all the seats have electric reclining chairs. The seats are BRAND NEW! Equipment at concession is updated as well. Y’all must be spoiled in Raleigh (bougie) because $8.00 is cheap compared to the theatres in Charlotte. Only one has reclining seats and it’s double the price. Get over the $2 tickets they had before! It’s worth the price for something to be newly renovated... -_-

Never going back here again. Went to see End Game last night and people were complaining about the power going out. This was my first time there and our show was at 9:15 pm. Which turned into a 9:36 pm show. We get popcorn and drinks and in about 30 minutes we are in need of more drinks. At 10:10 pm I go to the front and noticed tape set up so customers could not get to the concession stand. I asked what's going on and they said sorry we are closed for the night. Are all theaters like this? I wanted to take my kids to see such a great movie and they they are sitting there with no access to the concession stand for 2 hours and 45 minutes. Why does the theater offer at 9:00 pm show if they are closing down at 10? We spent good money on stuff and they sold the free refills on popcorn and drinks knowing they would be closed down by 10. Sorry for the long post but I think this is trash!! I'll be reaching out management today so no one else get this type of business. Heck, I'll work it late if they hire me.

Jayme Dubernas

I have been going there for years. It is a great way to enjoy a movie on the big screen. Yes it is an older theater, it has its own character. Staff has always been friendly and respectful.

Eric Gadson

Be careful with parking at the AMC CLASSIC Blueridge 14 in Raleigh, NC during the NC State Fair. They have an agreement with Unlimited Recovery to tow suspected owner's vehicles that are bound for the NC State Fair.

This place used to be the local $2 movie theater, showing older movies before they went to DISC / Streaming. It was ALWAYS packed, especially on weekends. AMC bought them out and is now running first run movies. Not today, even though Toy Story 4, and Lion King just opened. It's still a little bit run down, with peeling wallpaper everywhere, funky smells in some theaters, and some of the screens have tears / defects (#11 has it in the middle, slightly lower than center), and they can be distracting... All that being said, our tickets (for an adult and a 5 year old at a noon showing), were $5.99 each, and with adding a large slushy and large popcorn (free refills with a free AMC membership), it all came to just under $30. A regular first run theater would have been about $10 more. Multiply that by your group size and you can see the value there. Food quality and front end cleanliness was above average, and the staff was way above average, almost awesome in their attitude and helpfulness. The Raleigh community is up in arms about the loss of their cheap "Dollar Theater", and folks are saying they won't go there because of that. I had stayed away too because of all the bad stuff being said about loosing a beloved part of the city's cheap entertainment venues. Especially for giving kids a nice cool place to go on hot afternoons, that won't break the parent's budget. That being said, I wonder if dropping the ticket price to 3.99 or 4.99 would help fill those seats. With 15 folks in for Toy Story and maybe 25 for Lion King, there's a lot of lost popcorn and drink revenues that could have been made...

Princess_zelda03

The nothing I have against this place is the Sears are small & the drink holders don't lift. The whole family was able to see a movie together for the first time in 10 years.

Van Norn

Nice little hidden movie theater. Closeby the fairgrounds in Raleigh. Use to be a $2 dollar movie theater, but was bought out and now charges around $9. If the prices are like that then an upgrade is a must. Overall not a bad place to catch movies you may have missed or new movies that may have been sold out at other nicer movie theaters.

Justin Marcarelli

Cheap place to watch a movie. Would be nice if they updated the theaters a little. Looks like they haven't renovated for years.

m m

Air smells stale. I had bite marks when we left. I think they should treat for bed bugs or something, yikes!

Kathleen Koechling

Still run down, but now it's expensive. Good popcorn and friendly people though.

De’Ajeah Earl

There seats are dirty I tried to see what’s on the chair and when I breathed something went in my nose. It’s so dirty and nasty the floor has old food on it. I’m DISGUSTED

Debbie Nicholson

Great theater. The workers are great and ultra helpful and friendly. Would def go again.

Rachel Knox

We just went to see Captain Marvel. Fantastic movie, but it was a seriously appalling theater. The seats were disgusting, it smelt like urine. My wife was scared to sit down on the seats. I didn't want to touch ANYTHING. I was told that this theater was a 2.00 a ticket theater before. If I wanted to spend full price, I would have gone to a different theater that was more sanitary. Please clean your damn chairs, change the floors, SANITIZE YOUR ESTABLISHMENT.

Skeletal Soul

The condition of the theater could be forgiven when the movies were older and the tickets were cheap. Now that it is a standard theater complete with inflated prices, the broken and filthy seats are unacceptable. The staff are all very nice, but that doesn't make up for the disrepair of the facility itself.

NiKole Cash

I ONLY chose 1 start because I couldn't leave a review without picking a star. AMC cannot know the condition of this particular establishment. If this theater was really purchased by AMC then renovations should be a top priority and done as soon as possible. I have never been so disgusted with a movie theater in all my life! The concession area was acceptable, however, when my daughter and I entered the theater I stopped dead in my tracks! I was in total disbelief. I couldn't believe my eyes and oh goodness..the terrible smell was also overwhelming. The seats were old, stained, ripped and they felt like you were sitting in a lawn chair just inches off the ground. Luckily we were prepared with our jackets and a throw because we would not have stayed to watch the movie. Please be advised the fine print on the back of the ticket. If anyone chooses this location just be prepared to pay full movie prices for meager amenities!!
