Great place to have dinner and see a movie. The draft kombucha was really good. Picture and sound quality was very good in the cinema. Everything was so clear. The gift shop was really cool too a lot of collectible from classic films.

The BEST movie theater in Raleigh. Reserved seating in comfy recliners, full bar and menu, and service throughout the movie. Get the Buffalo cauliflower. To top it off, come 30 minutes early and they'll show clips related to the show you're about to see. Oh and free movie rentals in the lobby.

This theater is a gem. The projectors are phenomenal and their picture quality are excellent and I believe 4k. The food is amazing but a tad pricey and the popcorn uses actual butter instead of margerin which is a plus. The movie selection is pretty great too and the staff is extremely kind. It's great to have this theater here.

A fantastic, quirky branch of the movie chain. VHS checkouts, fantastic beer selection and excellent theater food including Beyond Burgers for the vegetarian crowd. There's even table service to the seats. Like other theaters offers reserved seats. Would be five stars but every time I've ordered something after a movie has started it's never been served.

Everytime I visit the staff and waitresses/waiters are very friendly. I appreciate the establishment providing multiple, private restroom stalls (which they seem to keep very clean). Food is always great and the milkshakes are delicious. Although the menu may look pricey at first it's worth trying out because you may find yourself coming back for more! They sell some retro items, shirts, and board games. Although I don't use this service it looks like they rent out a huge selection of old films and the place is nicely decorated in a retro style.

We had so much fun here. Saw the Avengers, and ate a great cheeseburger. Same amount of money spent, but got everything in one place. Staff was fun and knowledgeable, definitely will be back.

My first time going I was impressed. I bought my ticket before hand. Ease of checking in. Food choices could be better. The reclining seats were a joy. The table tray should be able to move so your food can sit right in front of you. I like the eat and see movie concept but the taking of orders and delivering of food should occur before the movie as not to disturb anyone. Someone walking by delivering food is just as annoying as a cellphone ringing and someone talking on the phone. The mojito was not good to me. I didn't get asked for a refill on my bottomless soda. I love how the bathroom are individual. Overall it was a good first impression.

We love this place! Best cinema in Raleigh hands down. We viewed John Wick 3. The sound, reclining chairs (so comfortable and plush) and space between rows are generous. The surround sound is loud, but not uncomfortable to your ears. Perfect ambiance and views.

The best movie theater in Raleigh! Clean and always has friendly staff. I've actually gone here just to have dinner and meet friends. I've never done that at another theater. The only downside is that the beer and food is expensive. You'll also pay a tip for the service. Is the atmosphere and experience worth it to you? I don't know, but it's worth it to come and try for yourself.

Usually we get amazing service here but I brought a new friend and the waiter put our items on same check as the group next to us so it was a little distracting to sort that DURING the movie. I had to explain to her that it usually doesn't happen and service is typically seamless without disrupting the movie.

The seating is comfortable, if a little late hard for fluffy people to get in and out of, and their "Quiet Zone" policy makes watching a film here the best possible experience. I love the old movies they show, too! Looking forward to seeing more and it's definitely worth the trip to Raleigh!

Getting to watch a movie and eat good food too is an interesting experience. Obviously you have to be okay with distractions while you watch the movie. The staff work hard to keep noise and such to a minimum. It's pretty great to be able to enjoy food and cold beer while watching a movie. Each little table has lights underneath so you can look at the menu. I will say I'd recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting food on if you're a messy eater. The atmosphere is great, I love the lobby you can borrow old VHS tapes if that's your thing. The staff are friendly, attentive and kind. The theaters are cleaned very thoroughly after each showing. It also has a pretty big parking lot too so I don't think that would be an issue either. My only gripe which is nothing toward the venue or staff is that people use their cellphone flashlight to look at the menu (please don't) and holy heck is that distracting. As I said that is my only issue and it's not really one that can be helped. Otherwise Alamo Drafthouse is amazing.

The wife and I went to see The Lion King in 2D. It was awesome! Their service is amazing!! They took instant care of my rain check tickets and the food was unexpectedly good. I had wings with fries and two glasses of rum with coke.

As a special education teacher and police officer, my husband and I are kind, respectful individuals who enjoy getting out and enjoying the community that we love being a part of and giving back to. I was VERY disappointed by our experience at the Alamo draft house today. It was our first visit here and we were excited to be experiencing the fun atmosphere that the Alamo offers. About 25 minutes into our movie, a man that appeared to be a manager interupted us saying that we needed to stop chatting because others were reporting being bothered. This was “our first warning and he didn’t want to have to ask us to leave.” Not once had we been talking to one another, using our phones etc. This was uncalled for, rude, and made us feel unwelcome while we had done nothing wrong. We will continue going to the cinebistro from now on as we have always had a fabulous experience there. The seats are better, the food is better, the size of the screen is better, and most importantly the staff and service is better. Thanks but no thanks Alamo.

I was so excited to see my first movie at Alamo Friends had raved about it just this afternoon. The positive is that it is a real movie goers venue with a great selection of unique libations. The food I received from the restaurant side however should have never left the kitchen let alone be served. I ordered two items as I was very hungry; both of which included avocados. What I received was two ample amounts of crunchy, hard, raw squash tasting unripened avocado which overpowered both dishes. Being that it was chopped and not sliced, there is no way that this foul could have been prepared unknown by someone with a bit of kitchen experience. It was a clear disregard of quality and high standards. I wrong a note to the cinema waitress early into the movie explain the issue with both items. She was apologetic but did not really correct the situation. She said she would talk to the manager but never game back after that point. I stayed through the end credits. I was told to next time let her know sooner. I was fully charged for the substandard food.

I was blown away by the Raleigh location. Alamo drafthouses everywhere have a huge draft selection, but this location - outdoor seating, board games to play, board games for sale, to go craft beers, movie rentals. You name it, they have it. This location is a MUST if you visit Raleigh, especially if you’re coming from NY and have only been to the Yonkers location. -C

The single best place to see a movie in a 100 mile radius. The place is obviously run by people that simply love movies. I've never had a bad experience at this theater. The picture quality is always excellent, and the sound is absolutely superb! Not to mention, the beer selection is on point. They have so many little extra touches that make this the best theater. For example, my wife and I have been talking about taking our daughter to her first movie. Alamo has special screenings that accommodate toddlers and you can even get a "First Movie in a Theater Certificate." I drive WAY out of my way to go see movies here because I love movies, and this is the only theater that truly cares that you walk out of a movie with the best possible experience.

First time visiting and I’m sold. I won’t be going to another theater ever again. Goodbye AMC! Goodbye Silverspot and hello Alamo Drafthouse! The theater environment was awesome! It was full of so many cool things to look at and check out. The layout itself was even unique and very cool. I love how instead of mass restrooms you have a hallway of individual stalls. The staff was friendly, helpful, discreet and fast. The food was FANTASTIC! That was easily the best pepperoni pizza I’ve ever had and the blueberry pie cheerwine milkshake was to die for. I loved the premovie screening. It’s great how it’s fun stuff tailored to the movie your about to watch instead of “front and center” lame trivia games. Last but not least... those recliners... I could live in those recliners. I’d been looking for an AMC with recliners for a long time, but now I’ve found something even better! Thanks for the experience and great food Alamo Draft House!

This place is pretty cool. The concept is great. Reclining chairs and service to your seat. There is a system for putting a card up with whatever you want to order so that there is no chatting during the movie. It's a great idea. But, several of the servers walked by us many times without picking up the cards leaving us to wait quite a bit. The salsa is ok but the chips are served cold and come right out of a bag. Not exactly what you expect from restaurant quality chips and salsa. The pizza had a strange taste to it as well. I think they should have a minimum order of food or beverage. It eliminates some of the rif raf like the guy sitting next to me smelling of dirty laundry and chewing on ice chips throughout the entire movie without ordering a thing. I think I would go again. It's a great concept with underwhelming follow through.

This is our favorite spot! The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Plus they always have cool events going on. You can rent movies of all genres for every taste and age. We love the seats and the food is fresh and delicious. They have an amazing selection of drinks for any age and desired taste. This movie theater is a gem!!! There is absolutely no other theater like it around. They show new movies as well as old ones and have a vast majority of movies you've probably never heard of. The food is great and the no nonsense approach to noise while watching movies is a definite plus!

This place is JUST FUN! What a great date night spot. We had a blast. Good food and great service. The staff seem to be having a good time working. But, I've saved the BEST for last, this place has a ZERO TOLERANCE for talking and using your phone during the movie. The clip on the screen before the movie starts is really funny and makes the no phone or talking thing VERY CLEAR. Thank you Alamo Drafthouse for a wonderful evening.

Love the Drafthouse! I love going to movies, but hate that people often lack common movie etiquette and talk/text throughout the entire movie. It’s not uncommon to go to another theater and see people walking into the movie 20-30 minutes late, and distracting everyone by attempting to find their seats. The [reserved] reclining seats are nice, the menu is expansive, and the staff is great. I like their specialty events, and the fact that I don’t have to sit through random Toyota commercials before my movie. Be sure to arrive early (you can get a drink in the main bar area while you wait). If I had to give one critique, it would be to soundproof the floors better (or require different shoes by employees). The staff does a great job of keeping low and quiet while serving the patrons, but you can hear them in a hurry, shuffling back and forth. Still, my favorite theatre in the Raleigh area!

Every time I come here something goes wrong. The staff doesn't listen or follow directions. One visit they told me that they could get a pitcher for us, and by the time they came back with it, the movie was over half over, and the pitcher was more expensive than it would have been to buy the equivalent number of drinks individually. This time I asked to try a beer that was on tap, and ended up with a full pour of the drink, and paid for a beer that I didn't even end up liking because at an uncrowded bar the bartender couldn't have been bothered to listen. For the prices that Alamo charges they should really make sure they have an attentive staff. At this point I couldn't in good conscience recommend anyone spend their money here.

Have been here once with my two kids and they enjoyed it as well as me, but since then we have been discriminated against and not allowed to partake in the experience. Kids cant watch movies after 6pm, no kids under a certain age... both that seems to change a free will. Wasted time twice and had kids ready to see a movie only to be left broken hearted over some BS. So, if you have kids just leavem at home this place doesnt want them here!

This has become my favorite place to watch movies in the triangle. The hatch green chillies on everything kind of gets old but the service is great and the theater is well maintained. It can get pricey but there's always matinee pricing for earlier shows. Wish the recliners had more range but that's not a big deal. Appreciate that they'll let you swap out your tickets if your late but wonder if it's a moot point since servers are in and out the entire movie. Also, If you have kids they have showings of PBS shows for $1-5 and they donate the cost to the local station.

This place was so much fun. I really like the movie rental option available here. They also have cool swag for fans. Great food and beer. They offer food options that are also specific to the movie your watching, which is fun and adds to the movie going experience. Order tickets ahead is a great feature. I can't wait to go again.

Glad Raleigh has its own Alamo Drafthouse! I tried their monthly subscription plan for a month and was not disappointed. I enjoyed the month and the location was top notch service and entertainment. As an entitled millennial, I was more than content with the endless options I had from home so that won out in the end. Would recommend for serious moviegoers to check out. They also have fun game nights to hang out and chill with friends in the main area and lots to check out there as well.

My husband and I arrived 15 minutes before the movie. We waited 20 minutes just for someone to pick up our order card. This was just the beginning of horrible service, however. About ten minutes later he got his beer, but my drink never came. After watching the couple next to me receive refills on their drinks and ordering yet more food items, I had to get attendant’s attention to ask for my drink, all the while still waiting for our food. About an hour of wait (after witnessing the couple receive their additional order of food items) I got up to inquire about our missing food, at which point I was told that staff just checked with the kitchen and should be right out. Another 10 minutes go by and we receive a bill for food that has never arrived. My husband wanted to tell them just to forget it, but they promised in 2 minutes they would have the food. I was starving and annoyed at this point, so consented. It came out 12 minutes later. In total we waited almost an hour and a half for our food. I finished the last bites of my meal just as the closing credits started. Forget about refills or getting the cookie we ordered as well. The only positive is that we explained the situation to the manager and he refunded our food. Thanks to him it wasn’t a total waste. No thanks to any suggestion or invite to go there again.

My new favorite place to watch a movie. They believe firmly in making a movie a pure experience, and offer quality food and other refreshments at reasonable prices. It's not the cheapest way to watch a movie in town, but this is one of the places where you get what you pay for. Drinks are priced comparably to most bars, and food is similar.

This is my favorite movie theatre in the Triangle. I live about 30 minutes away and purposely go here to have the Alamo Drafthouse experience, no other theatre compares. From the easy to reserve seats on their mobile app, the friendly service, the pre-show which is often tailored to the movie and the food, the experience is worth it everytime. I've been to other theatres since and I just keep comparing to Alamo Drafthouse. Been here over 30 times since it opened and will continue to frequent it as long as I'm in the area. Plus, cool merchandise and free VHS and DVD rentals? You can't beat that.

Quality seems to be heading down at least at the Raleigh location. Purchased HC seating for my mother-in-law but upon arrival the seats marked as HC had a large step. Had a very difficult time getting her into the seat. We only found out as the show was starting that they would normally remove a top row middle seat so no transfer from a walker/WC was necessary. While the server did apologize, he indicated that if he had only known beforehand that he would have properly prepared the seats in advance of our arrival. I would have thought with us purchasing the seats online 5 hours prior to the movie start time, that that would have been adequate notice. Additionally two of the three orders we placed asked for no onions but yet were served with onions. Also asked for a spare plate at time of order and that wasn't provided either. Again I don't fault the server because it appears to me that the staffing levels weren't appropriate to manage the entire theater.

I do LOVE this place. Fantastic vegan selection and it's all always good. I go constantly and rarely have any issues or long waits like at other dine-in theaters I've been to. the staff is always great, even when the servers are tired and putting in half effort, they get their jobs done timely and correctly 99% of the time. all and all, this place started rocky in my eyes and has really whipped it into shape. my only complaint is occasionally, on my vegan meals, I'll find something non-vegan, most of the time chunks of meat or bacon.. I almost feel as though its intentionally done when I do find it. i wonder if there is a vegan-hating line cook that needs to be spoken to.

Not sure if it was an over sight, but that was the only thing that I could say was not to my liking. The rest of my family loved it. They got their food promptly and said it was delicious. The only complaint you can really have here is maybe that the seats don’t recline like some of their competitors. With that said, the beer line up is incredible given that it’s not a typical bar, the menu is quite fun from the queso (definitely get some to dip your fries in!) to the burgers, the shakes, the cookies, and the Mac and Cheese. This is not your grocery store blue box mac n cheese, this is a mini cast iron skillet with a baked corkscrew noodle bathed in a cheese sauce that has just a tiny kick of spice to it.

The food is always good, and Alamo really knows how to have fun with movies. Our It Chapter Two showing wasn't a movie party or special event, but they still had the the theater decorated, and during the fortune cookie scene, the staff went around delivering a cookie to each seat (and they had quotes from the movie as fortunes!). Everything, from the comfortable seats to the ticket system for ordering food and drinks, makes this place head and shoulders above any other option. Recently I told my friend "We're going to go see that new movie, so let's go." He asked me "Which theater?" and I told him "Obviously Alamo." He said "Obviously? Aren't there other theaters?" and I said "No." As far as I am concerned, as comfortable of an experience the Alamo offers compared to how uncomfortable most other theaters offer, there might as well not be any other theaters in the area at all. Their food is tasty and their soda (The Blue Sky Soda) is on point. Their alcohol options are also really great. They also sometimes have special events where they play older movies or do a cool event for some new releases. They also sell beer, cocktails, food and boardgames. They also rent VHS tapes! All in all, this is the best movie theater in the area by far, and I won't go anywhere else.

I've been to the Alamo Drafthouse in Houston, and the Raleigh location is definitely better! Really cool vibes, great service, more than one theater. We basically had a theater to ourselves on a Thursday night, which I found surprising given how cool the place is. My only note is that I didn't really care for the relish on my Classic Hotdog, but that's it!

This theater is very cool because you can order food and drinks all throughout your movie. also there is no talking permitted whatsoever. If anybody disturbs your movie, you can use your order card to alert your waiter. this is a very good place to see movies if you don't like people talking the whole time

Food was delicious. Movie was good. Saw captain marvel. Atmosphere was pretty cool. I love how it feels. But the service was kind of lacking. This was our first visit and i expected better service. And while the food was delicious it was 40 dollars for a hamburger, hotdog, and 2 sides of fries, and one beer. And we never even got refills on our drinks. I can go just about anywhere else and get that same meal for half the price with better service. I will go back, but only for the movie experience.

Good BUT... Ive heard for years how awesome these places are so when we moved here I was excited to finally go. The theater is great, awesome experience and friendly staff. The food choices are superb, but what I failed to connect was even though people weren’t eating candy or noisy food, the food they serve here is higher class which means you eat with utensils. Utensils that are noisy. The guy next to me clanked his fork around for 20 minutes while he ate a quinoa salad. So it’s a bit of give and take from a normal theater. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Would I go again? Probably not. I’ll risk the noisy candy.

I really like the Alamo Drafthouse theatre. If you're looking for a great place to watch movies, eat some good food, and drink from a fully stocked bar this is the place for you! The atmosphere gives off an interesting retro vibe. The policies there are also a good thing to take note of. You won't be allowed in late and if you are a disturbance (on your phone texting or talking in any manner) you will be removed after a warning. They also do events and screen cult classics from time to time. Another cool feature that sets this place apart from others is that you can rent movies from the theatre and they have a small store for games, albums, shirts, and vinyl figurines. Overall cool place to go!

We've been coming here more and more lately. Started with Avengers Endgame, then John Wick 3, and our latest trip was for The Hustle. It's nice to be able to watch a movie and have a delicious meal. Due to that fact I have no pictures of the food as you can't have a phone out during a movie. The food is mostly Pizzas, Burgers, and Shakes. We both seem to enjoy the burgers the most. I prefer the Fancy Pants Burger and my wife the Royale with Cheese, she really enjoys the bacon. We also always seem to get the loaded fries, which are also tastes great. We have tried the shakes in prior visits but opted for just water this past time.

It appears as though it replaced an old grocery store and the parking is insufficient and reaches capacity quick. I drove around for almost twenty minutes waiting for someone to come out. The Alamo is a great place for movie movers. They have current releases and special nights where they show classics. The menu is good, even if a bit pricey at times. They have a VHS loaner library and a full bar if you want to grab a beer and hang out before or after your show. I highly recommend checking out one of their viewing parties, they're a great time.

The wait staff come to your seat in one of the ten theaters, pick up your orders, then return with your food and beverage within minutes. The reclining leather seats are very comfortable too. First, we were asked to show our tickets to prove that we were in our seats. We were there 2wks ago and no one asked to see our tickets or anyone else's. And I understand the NO talking policy, however, when you're with a 9yr old viewing a kids movie (The Lion King) they're going to ask questions. We were singled out by the staff for talking but he was NO where's near as loud or talked as much as the couple sitting to our right. Who sang, talked and everything else but NOT 1 complaint. After this, my son was afraid of being thrown out without a refund so he didn't even ask to use the bathroom until the movie was over.

I originally gave this a 5 star review on our first visit but we have had a few bad experiences recently. There is alot of pro's to this place, such has the bar, food, free video rentals, seating. It's even the closest theater to us. However, the Cons kinda out way all that. Our food orders always get messed up or are never brought out to us. There is a smell of spilt craft beer everywhere and bathrooms are usually nasty. If they could improve on the service and the cleanliness of this location it would be an amazing spot.

Had a waitress, for some reason, feel the need to explain how tipping works and that 20% is the average amount to everyone she served during her introduction. I just seemed in poor taste and shows a lack of courtesy training. She also messed up every item of my order. Which was 3 items. I usually don't complain, being in the service industry myself, but I have had a few instances here with similar things. So, other than a few green staff members, the experience is amazing and the front of house staff are also amazing.

Nice place to watch a movie!! The server will come to your seat and take your order. Reclining seats with comfortable soft leather cup holders with attached table for your food. Love the popcorn in the unlimited bowl you can get bowl after bowl for under 10 bucks!!! Drinks (alcoholic or not)available at bar in lounge or at your seat. I highly recommend going there rather than Regal White Oak Theatre which is in need of remodeling for the prices it charges.

Imagine combining Specs Music, Blockbuster, and Hot Topic/ Spencer's with a movie theater. But wait, there's more. Once in the theater, picture reclining seats with a short tray on one side (like in grade school) with a dim light under the tray. Now add a good quality restaurant food and service, a few cocktails, wine, and beer. Yes, there are great gluten-free options. And then let the movie play. In our case, the movie was about 3 hours long. We had plenty of time to appreciate the accommodations. On our way in and out of the movie, I enjoyed the feeling of nostalgia that the movie posters, VHS, DVD, furniture, and other classic movie relics created. I will surely visit again.

I like dine-in theaters and their Patty Melt is my go-to. The seats recline and are comfy. They are very strict about not talking/distracting. You can rent older VHS or DVD movies from here too. They also have a section of things to buy. It's pretty cool.

Been there several times over the last 6 months and have been routinely impressed. The simplicity of the check in process in tandem with the quality of both the theater's atmosphere and its meal offerings make for a quality experience not easily achieved in the Raleigh cinema scene. Having the option to start my movie going experience with a cocktail at the bar, only to then have a comfortable, reclining chair to look forward to enjoy my showing in makes for a gratifying experience to say the least. If you have not been to the Alamo Draft House yet, I would highly recommend you do so for your next moving outing.

The best movie theater in North Carolina. Quality projection and sound with some really delicious menu options. The video rental store is a really cool addition too. My only gripe is that the waiters should wait till after the movie has ended to get you to pay for your food and not during the climax of the movie doing so almost ruined my viewing of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
