You can't beat it for the price! Great picture and amazing sound. Reasonably priced snacks are definitely a plus too. Only negative is the seats aren't very comfortable. But I love it!

We saw a great movie in an old theater! The seats are close together but it is nostalgia! Jumanji with Kevin Hart, Dwayne the Rock Johnson, and Jack Black was great! See it if you get the chance, it was hilarious!

Really need to update the sound system and seat need a major improvement, but for service, friendliness and ole home town feeling this little theater has the title of being perfect. For people with back handicaps seats need a big time overhaul. Best for the price too. Can't go wrong for new releases.

For $6 to see a new release is impressive. The gentlemen that helped me was very nice and even though the theater is old the seats are very nice. The sound quality and picture was great. I wouldn't hesitate to see another movie here if I was in the area again.

I hate going to movies. BUT, the El Cortez is not about the movie. From the moment I walk into a historic old time movie house, the smell of the popcorn, the wide cushiony seats, the cute little kids introducing the movie I enjoy the experience. I even enjoy the local advertisements that are run before the picture. Locally owned is another plus. And you can't beat the prices. It's awesome.
